Seeing the signs of the return of the Goddess of nightmares, the student of the Arch Mage tries to warn her master but instead gets sent on what she feels is an annoying and rather petty mission. Now the young arcane mage Twilight sparkle and her familiar Spyke are out in a small town trying to do their work and honestly hoping that they were just mistaken on their discovery of the return of the nightmare Goddess.

This is just a human fantasy version of season one episode one, based on the artwork of Didjargo. I was surprised to find out by talking to him that I was not the first to do this, but by then it was already too late and I had made the story. Thankfully he did like my take on it, or so he said. But I figured why sit on a perfectly good story? So I'm putting it up here after a little rework.

The whole thing was written with speech to text so it certainly needed a little tweaking and editing to get rid of the thousand or so typos
