In some areas Equestria is ahead of Earth, in others it is behind. I still can't believe that the medical system here is so far ahead of human understanding. I was so lost in thought that I didn't notice the ebony forelegs and wings wrapped around me. "What are you thinking so hard about J?" "I don't know anything about Equestria anymore. It has all changed for the better yes, but I do miss the simplicity of life from back then." "I understand my love" she said nuzzling my cheek "I was the same way when I was purged of the Nightmare and found myself in the then modern Equestria. You have me, Tia and your friends to help you if it ever gets overwhelming for you." Smiling I turned so I was face to face with my wife. "I still can't believe you searched for me all these years. Do I mean that much to you?" She frowned and I watched as a fire lit in her eyes. "You are the only one that has claimed my heart and soul. Nopony else will ever have them. I would search till the end of time if we were ever separated again." "Possessive much are we" I asked with a smirk. "In your own words, damn right I am" she replied giggling. Pulling her closer I kissed her sweet lips and picked her up. When I got to the couch I sat down with my sweet Luna in my lap. After she buried her muzzle into my neck I asked a question that has been on my mind constantly. "Luna? I want your opinion on something." "And what would that be my J?" "We agreed long ago to wait on starting our family until peace was established. Do you want to start now?" "Do you really wish to now? You haven't been back in Equestria long." "Yes I do. If anything it will help me settle in. We've waited so long and I know you have waited patiently my Angel." "I wanted you back at my side more, but now that I have you once again I can really live again and I want nothing more than to bear your foals." "When do you start your heat?" She nuzzled me again then whispered in my ear. "I'm in heat right now dear." "Interesting." I won't go into details, but Luna wouldn't let me leave our room for a week. When I finally did I will admit my ass was dragging. With nothing to do and Luna taking a nap, I figured I would go to day court and give Tia a hand. When I stopped at the throne room doors the guards bowed to me. "I've said it once and I'll say it again. The guards does not have to bow to me." "We know sir, but our respect for you is why we do it." Sighing I knew I was fighting a losing battle. "Very well, I guess announce my arrival." "Of course my Prince." Turning the guard opened the door and in a clear and authoritative voice announced me. "Presenting his royal highness. Prince of the Skies J Lynn Voigt." As I stepped into the throne room all in attendance bowed to me. When I made it to the raised dias at the end Celestia was smirking at me. "Brother, this is a pleasant surprise." "Luna finally got tired of me and I was bored, so I figured I would come and give you a hand Tia." Her laughter always brought a smile to my face. She always did have a beautiful laugh. "I am more than happy for you to join me J. It's been a long time since its happened." I climbed the dias and took a seat on Luna's throne. I had no sooner settled and grinned at Tia when somepony started raising hell. "How dare you, you filthy creature. You have no right to sit on that throne." I looked the idiot over. It was a unicorn stallion. He had a white coat and blonde mane and tail. I snickered at him for the outrageous outfit he was wearing. "I can take this seat for the simple fact that I have been married to Luna for over two thousand years." I turned to Tia. " Who is this fuckin idiot Tia?" "He is our nephew my dear brother in law. Prince Blueblood the eighteenth." "How did that happen Tia" I asked leering at her. "His line is adopted, just like Cadence was." "Well Cady I like" I turned and looked at the pompous ass. "Him I don't like so much." "He will grow on you eventually." "I don't want cancer de Blueblood Tia." She tried to hide her giggle behind her hoof, but it didn't work. "J that wasn't very nice." I looked over at BB again. The stricken look on his muzzle was perfect. "Tia, you know I don't suffer fools very well." I stood to address the room. "I want all nobles here to know a few things. Do not test me. I will kick your ass. Things will change since I'm back where I belong. I know my wife and sister have been playing this game for a long time, but know this. I will not let any of you think of taking any kind of advantage. This includes you Bluebelle." I turned and sat back down on the throne. "Now please continue." The whiney ass nobles I could care less for, but the common pony I cared about a lot. Right at the end of the day one last noble stood and asked for what all the others had asked for. More bits, but this one looked familiar. I looked at Tia and she nodded. "What is your name?" "Claymore the eighth my Lord" replied the thestral stallion. I looked at Tia and gained a shit eating grin. I motioned for the nearest guard. "Go fetch me my Captain." "Of course your Highness." It wasn't five minutes before the throne room doors opened and in walked the Captain of my Sky Guard. When he stopped at the foot of the dias he saluted me. "What do you require my Prince?" "Claymore meet Claymore the Eighth." When he turn to look, he might as well been looking in a mirror. "I'm not impressed J." "How dare you. Do you have any idea of who I am?" "You stupid idiot. Do YOU have any idea of who he is? Clay you may remove your armour." When he started the first to come off was his helmet. When it came off the noble was stunned. "That's right moron. Meet the progenitor of your line." By that time Clay had fully removed his armour and there was no question about it. "After Zwe died, I lost touch with my family. I can see it's time to take up the mantel of family elder again. They have fallen far." "Well you have the time now old friend. Tell the others that all they have to do is ask and we will help find their families again." "Of course my Lord." When he turned he looked at his namesake with cold eyes. "You pick up my armour and follow me." "Of course grandfather" he said shivering in fear. When they left Tia declared that court was closed. I stood up and streched. "Well I guess I shall go see if my lovely wife is awake and meet you for dinner Tia." She smiled at me. "Say in about a hour J?" "Sounds good, maybe I'll have a extra in tow." //-------------------------------------------------------// Reliving the past //-------------------------------------------------------// Reliving the past Once again I was standing on our balcony looking out over Canterlot. Luna was sleeping peacefully while my thoughts was raging through my mind. As I watched my heart sleep, I couldn't stop my mind from drifting back to the first time we met all those years ago. I appeared on Equis three years into the Discordian War. I was lucky I guess, because I happened to find myself behind Equestrian lines. I had been running for five days and was exhausted. I didn't know how I had got here nor did I know where I was. I had been wandering around the woods I was in trying to survive when I ran into a group of ponies in armour. Not knowing any better I ran. Worst and best mistake I ever made. They finally cornered me in a clearing. When they did I gave up. "Go ahead. Kill me. I can't run anymore." "Now why on Equis would we do that" asked the tallest of the ponies. She was a brilliant white with a multi colored mane and tail that moved on its own. "Are you a spy? A new creature in the employ of Discord or are you one of his created monsters?" "None of the above. Besides, I have no idea who this Discord is or where the hell I'm at right now." She looked at me for a few moments then smiled. "I can tell you are speaking honestly. You're truly lost as you say. If I may ask. What is your name?" "J Lynn Voigt." "Well J, come with us a get a proper meal. You look like you could use one. I am Celestia by the way." "Nice to meet you Celestia and I could use something to eat." As I followed the guards, Celestia had fell back to where I was and we started talking. I was told who Discord was and that her and her sister Luna was the leaders of a resistance against his rule. When we got to their main camp a hour later, I was right at the edge of my endurance. I found the nearest shade and just dropped. I didn't move for ten minutes until I hear Celestia call my name. When I sat up and looked her way my eyes locked with a pair of the deepest blue I had ever seen. "J, I would like you to meet my sister Luna." Celestia was gorgeous yes, but Luna blew her away. She was a dark blue and her mane and tail looked like a star field. I was so entranced I couldn't believe what I said. "You have to be the most beautiful creature I have ever seen." My words must have had some effect, because she blushed and turned away a little. Celestia had moved a hoof to cover her mouth and was giggling behind it. "I see you may have found a suitor dear sister." "He must be jesting Tia?" "No he isn't LuLu. Everything J has said so far is the truth." "I'm still sitting here and I was being honest. I have seen many beautiful ladies in my life, but you are with out a doubt the most beautiful." "Awww J. Now look at what you've done. Your making my little sister blush more" Celestia commented giggling harder. I looked around in embarrassment when I heard a indignant squawk of "Tia" come from Luna. I was not surprised to find myself once again wrapped up in a pair of ebony wings when I came back to myself. "Lost in thought again my love?" "No. Just remembering the first time we met." Luna blushed when I mentioned that. "Ah yes. There's that blush I remember so well. You are adorable when you do it." "I can't help it" she said smacking me on my shoulder. "I was only twenty and you was the first to ever compliment me like that." "Maybe that's why I got you before anypony else did" I countered grinning. "No that isn't why I fell for you." I snapped my fingers "Now I remember." "It's because I'm older than you." Little known fact. I'm older than Tia and LuLu. When I met them I was fourty and they was twenty-three and twenty. "That's not it either you old fart" she replied laughing. "Where did you learn that phrase? Never mind that then. Why did I end up with you as my wife then?" "Simple really. Every time we looked at each other or spoke to one another, you loved who I was as a pony. Not for who or what I represented. The more time we spent together, the more we fell for each other. That's why no other could ever win me over. Its because nopony else could love me as you do." "And here I thought it was my charm and good looks that won you over." Luna finally broke down in laughter. I love the sound of Tia's, but when Luna genuinely laughs, to me it sounds like angels singing. "I do have one item I want to share with you" she said walking around the chair I was sitting in and climbing into my lap. She took my hand and laid it on a specific spot on her belly. She had tears in her eyes when she said five little words. "We're going to be parents." I was speechless. "Are you sure. I mean, are" I couldn't get anything else out because of the hoof covering my mouth. "Yes J, I'm positive. Mares can tell within a week or two of their heat and the doctor confirmed it yesterday morning." The only response I could come up with was to pull her close and kiss her with as much love as I could. When I finally broke the kiss, both of us was breathless. "I know the perfect way to tell Tia." I had a evil grin on my face. "Will I like it?" "Trust me my angel, you'll love it." I spent the first half of the morning looking for the prop I needed. When I found it, I had it wrapped up as a present, went and got Luna and made our way to the throne room. Day court was underway and to me it was the perfect setting. Without being announced, we entered and marched up to the throne dias. When Tia looked up she smiled. "J, LuLu? This is a surprise. What can I do for you." "The surprise is on you Tia" I said handing her the gift. "Open it." She took it and with a look of confusion opened the box. Inside the box was a blue and pink baby bib that had 'I'll be seeing you soon aunty' on it. I could see the gears turning in her head when she pulled it from the box. When she looked at Luna confused my angel finally spoke. "Think about it for a minute sister." When those words registered it was pure comedy. She looked at us then the bib then us again. Tia did that three or four times before her face lit up. I'll do my best to describe what happened next. She started screaming "yes yes yes" then disappeared. The next "yes yes yes" came from the ceiling? Yep, she was trotting across the ceiling cheering over and over 'I'm going to be a aunt'. When some of the castle staff came in to see what the ruckus was about, one of the maids said flat out. "I don't get paid enough to clean hoof prints off of the ceiling." I looked at her grinning. "Nah, leave em. Then we have proof of Celestia hitting the ceiling at least once." //-------------------------------------------------------// Out of Time //-------------------------------------------------------// Out of Time As I started to wake, a very familiar sensation played across my body. When my eyes snapped open I was about to panic. "No! Not again" I thought to myself. Tia must have sensed it because the moment my feet touched the floor, I was swept up into a comforting embrace. "Calm down dear brother" Celestia softly whispered into my ear while nuzzling me. "I forgot that would bring back terrible memories for you. I would just as soon cut my own wings and horn off, than ever do that to you again." "Tia what's going on? Why was you carrying me like that again?" I was still upset from being woken up like that. "I will try to explain as best as I can J" she said still holding me. "Some time ago, mother and father returned and gave my sister and I control over their specific types of magic. I gained time magic from mother and LuLu got space magic from father. That is how we finally found you, but I noticed something in the time stream. Understand this, time is fluid, but it does have fixed points. There has only been two such points in the last twenty-five hundred years or so. One was your arrival on Equis, the other was a thousand years ago when Nightmare Moon returned." "How is me appearing on Equis a fixed point? I couldn't effect history, could I?" "You can and you did. I watched thirty different outcomes from your arrival. The one we know is the best. The worst I witnessed, Discord had captured you and tried to bend you to his will. In it, you destroyed Equestria, but that is not our focus. Its the other fixed point I'm worried about." "What's to worry about Tia? I'm back home, and Luna is carrying our future. Everything should be good." "That's where your wrong J. Nightmare Moon will return and this time, when she takes control of Luna's body, she kills her soul and you know what that means." "I die with her." "And with both of you gone, Equestria would be hers. I couldn't defeat her on my own again." "Wait. How did she come back? The Elements should have purged her from Luna." "My best guess is she somehow hide a piece of herself in Luna's subconscious so that she could regenerate." "Does Luna know?" "No she doesn't. I don't have the heart to tell her after what my sister went through the first time." "So I guess with all this talk of set points and fluid time. I'm going on a time trip one way ticket style. Do I need to worry about time paradox or loops of any kind?" Celestia was looking at me in shock then. "No..no. There will be none of that. Your awful accepting of this." "To save my family and home, of course I am" I shrugged accepting my fate. "Plus I look at it this way too. That's a thousand years we get back" I got that Tia smile that she only shows to family. "This time line will no longer exist once this is done." "Well then, I better not fuck this up. What do I need to do?" "Right before the Nightmare is hit with the Elements, Luna must start emerging on her own. That should be enough to eradicate the parasite." "Okay. Where will I appear and will your past self know?" "You'll come out in the old castle and my past self will know something is up, because of the magic signature you'll have." I sighed and hugged her tighter. "Let's get this over then." "Goodbye, my brother." "It's not goodbye, Tia. I'll be seeing you in a bit." Smiling she started casting the spell. "Tis true." When I opened my eyes, I was looking at the very spot where I was banished. I had never went to the old castle when I got back to Equestria, so this was my first time back. "I would level this place after all of this is said and done, but it protects the tree." Closing my eyes, I hoped that I could still use at least a teleport spell. Sensing I could I cast it and appeared at the Canterlot Castle front gate. Opening my eyes I looked around till my gaze fell upon two guards. One was a Solar, but the other was wearing armour I knew quite well and I recognized the pony too. Both was staring, one in fear, the other in disbelief. "Dum Dum, who has you out here guarding a damn gate? Tia or Clay?" He smiled seeing a old friend. "The Captain. You damn well know that we don't answer to nopony else but you my Prince." I couldn't help myself. I started laughing. Looking at the other guard, the poor sod was about to fall over in fear. "Do you know who I am?" "Yes, my Lord. The Princess made sure everypony knew about you and Princess Luna." "Good. Now I wish for you to relax. When I leave, ask this goof what kind a Prince I am. You might be surprised. Stay at your post. I know my way around." "Party in the barracks boss?" "Of course" I replied walking towards the castle. Along the way, I ran into a patrol unit of my guard. When they spotted me then saluted. "It's been too damn long boy" growled out my sergeant major. "I know sarge. Where is that bat brained Captain of mine?" "If he knows what's good for him. He fuckin better be at his post in the throne room." "Very well. Party in the barracks later. You know what that means, right?" "Your will shall be done my Prince." As I continued, I passed castle staff and other guards who all bowed to me. When I got to the throne room doors, the unicorns on duty started to light up their horns, but I stopped them. "Is court in session?" "It is your Highness." I couldn't help it. I started smiling again. "Good. I have it from here. Stand back." Without further ado, I made my grand entrance back into Tia's life. All noise in the throne room had ceased and Tia had a look of utter disbelief on her muzzle. I was half way down the aisle, when I was tackled by a alicorn again. "What is it with you two and tackling me. Damn that hurts." "I can't believe it. You found your way back. I had thought, that you would hate us for what we did to you J" Tia said wailing. "Honestly, I did for the awhile. I will explain everything, but a certain pink niece of ours convinced me to come home." She looked at me in confusion. "May contain, but not limited to time travel, future you and world ending creatures." "I trust that you will give me the best explanation you can. I'm so glad your home brother." "Me too, Tia. Me too." //-------------------------------------------------------// The ones we love //-------------------------------------------------------// The ones we love With sunlight starting to shine on my face, I tried to roll over, but I couldnt, because of a certain sun loving pony. Grumbling to myself didn't help. All I got for the trouble was a giggle and some nuzzling. "Never have you been a morning pony, have you brother?" "You know better than any other that I don't do mornings Tia. Never have, never will." Giggling some more she finally took pity on me and blocked the sun out with a wing. Between the party my unit threw and the talk me and Tia had, I was bone tired and she knew it. Just about the time I dozed off, Tia's bedroom door crashed open and three guards came running in. "Princess, the barracks...." he began, but trailed off. I can imagine the scene. Here is Princess Celestia laying on her belly, legs tucked underneath, with a wing spread out covering the upper half of my body. I wonder what they was thinking. I peeked out from under the wing to see who was disturbing my sleep. "Who the fuck are you and why are you in here?" "Captain of the Guard, Shining Armour. What may I ask is going on HERE?" "One, drop the attitude. I don't care for it and two, I was trying to get some sleep. The last time I checked, I could sleep in the same bed as my sister" I tapped Tia's wing so that she could fold it back. "Are you Royal, Solar or Lunar?" "Royal. What does that hav..." "It's everything, Captain" I said cutting him off, "Royal reports to the Solar or Lunar. If they can't handle it, then they report to the Sky unit captain. If he believes I need to be involved, he then comes to me. I set it up that way for a very good reason." "Princess with all due respect. Who is this fool?" Uh oh. You just fucked up boy, I thought to myself. Celestia was always very protective of her family. Welp there she goes. Quicker than the captain's could see, Tia shot up out of the bed and was standing in front of the captain glaring at him. When she spoke, it was through clenched teeth. "That fool as you call him is my brother in law and your prince, as well as your commanding officer. You will give him the respect he deserves. That goes for my sister too when she returns. Spread the word. If I find anypony speaking I'll of my family, they will see a side of the sun nopony has seen in a millennia. Am I understood?" "Y..yes Princess." "Good. I also suggest brushing up on your history." "Dismissed" I ordered. When they filed out, Tia turned to me. "How much is the damages?" "Only half this time." "Half? Normally they bring the whole barracks down. They're losing their touch J." "Nah, I tried to keep them under control. You know what would happen if I let that group of idiots truely loose." A look of horror crossed her muzzle. "They probably would knock Canterlot off the mountain." "Discord couldn't match my groups capacity for destruction, my dear sister." "Hmm true" she said shrugging. Celestia had cancelled day court for the week to concentrate on Luna's return. At the moment I was on the balcony of her sitting room looking at the moon. "Soon my angel." No sooner than I said that, the mares shadow disappeared from the surface of the moon. Turning I went back inside. "It has begun Tia, please be careful." Walking up to me, Tia wrapped her wings around for a hug. "I will J. You be careful as well. I'll see you when it's over." With a teleport spell I returned to our old home. Tia had told me of her plan and how it should unfold. I had been waiting in the old throne room when I started to hear voices. I was in the tower room that Tia said to wait in. 'Won't be long now' I said to myself. I finally got my first look at Nightmare and I was surprised. She still looked like Luna except for her wings and the mane and tail. When all six mares was there, that's when I showed myself. Walking out behind the Nightmare, I put a finger to my lips to signal the others to be quite. I calmly walked up to her and set my hand down on her rump. When I did that and started scratching with each finger her whole body locked up. "I could get use to how your wings look now, but I always preferred the star field look for your main and tail. Though you really know what my preference is." I had started walking slowly dragging my hand along her back then side as I made my way around her. "Don't you Luna" I asked when I made it to her front. Her mouth was open and her eyes was wide in surprise as I stood there with my hand on her cheek. "How did you come back? Why did you come back" she whispered out. "The how doesn't matter. The why is simple." As I was speaking, I removed the helmut Luna had on. Strangely she never attempted to stop me. When I had finished, I cupped both cheeks with my hands so she had to look at me. "I am here because my wife needs me and I need her. I am sorry I couldn't feel the pain you was in all those years ago. I don't know why I couldn't feel it, but that is not a good enough excuse for what happened. I committed a cardinal sin by not helping you and I will spend eternity making it up to you, if you will let me." I had slide my hand down and gently pulled her head up so I could look into her eyes. When she opened them, the slit was still there, but the deep blue I was familiar with was starting to come through. With nothing else to say, I brought my mouth to hers for a kiss I had waited years for. At the same time I motioned the others to begin with the Elements. I guess they understood, because I could feel the familiar magic building. I broke the kiss and looked at my wife. The vision I got to see was beautiful. Two sparkling blue orbs trying to contain tears looked back at me. "She's gone. The Nightmare is finally gone." "And what of me my love. What fate befalls me?" "I want nothing more than my husband once more" her eyes glanced behind us. "That's not going to work. You know that right?" "Call it insurance, angel. It's not gonna hurt us now. You know how it works, they are the new bearers and to establish a connection..." "They have to be used the first time. I know my heart." She was smiling and to me that was heaven. When the spell was over, I looked over at the mares to see how they was. "Knocked out I see" I heard from my side. "Well, we all can't be hopped up super ponies now can we?" I got a snort for that comment. "What?" "When are you going to stop hiding that side of you?" "If there ever comes a time when I need that kind of power I will show it. "What the fuck is going on" I wondered aloud. I knew that Cadence's and that twat Shining Armour's wedding was today, but I declined going with Luna being sick. I was about to step out our chamber doors when another shudder hit the castle. "Ok, now I know something is going on." Checking on Luna, she was thankfully still sleeping. I just hope she stays that way. She is CRANKY when woken up. When I stepped out, I could see guards running everywhere. Stopping a Solar I asked what was going on. "We are under attack, my Prince. From what I know it started at the wedding." "Where is the Lunars?" "On the way now." "Good. Where is Claymore and my crew at?" "I don't know my Lord, but I know that five of the SG was outside the throne room." "Ok, you stay here for the moment. When the Lunars get here make sure they deploy as they should." "As you order your Highness" he said saluting. "I'm going to see what the hell is going on." I took my leave from the guard and headed to the throne room. When I got there, I found a pile of bodies in front of the doors and five very pissed off Sky Guards. "Clay! What the fuck are changelings doing here?" "I don't know J, but they wanted in the throne room and we can't get in." "Is the shield still up?" "No, it's down." "Send a runner to rally all guard units and engage the changelings. You will stay here and guard the doors. I will deal with whatever is going on in there." "As you wish J." I left them and went back up two floors. When I found a balcony that was above the throne room balcony I jumped over the side and landed outside the throne room. When I looked in I was stunned. Chrysalis? Here? To say I was surprised is a understatement. I destroyed her and her hive over a millennia ago, but here she is engaged in a magic struggle with Tia. She will not survive this time I vowed to myself. I summoned my sword to me and in grand style destroyed the balcony doors. The noise and dust distracted everypony in the room. When I walked in Celestia smirked and Chrysalis hissed at me. "I see you somehow survived. I want to know how" I growled out. "Like I'll tell you blight. How are you still alive. You should be dead." "Being soulbound and married to a alicorn has its perks. I'm not going to let you get away alive. I made that mistake once." "Like you could harm me. I have been feeding on Shining Armour's love for Cadence for a week now. I can exceed Celestia in power." "Bitch please. Tia is strong yes, but I outclass her." I looked at my sister in law and nodded. "Are you sure J? There's no going back when I cast the spell." "Do it." The next instant I was surrounded by Tia's golden magic. I knew what was going to happen. I would be showing my true self. I closed my eyes waiting for it to end. Hearing a chorus of "what" I opened my eyes. They would be seeing a sunflower yellow alicorn stallion with a night sky black mane and tail. In this form I was a head taller than Celestia. "Your end has come Chrysalis.There will not be any mercy." Charging the queen, I shoulder rammed her through the wall. I wanted to take this fight outside. I wanted it over quick and didn't want anypony else getting hurt, so I cast the one of the strongest spells I knew. I call it the Seven Swords of Heaven. With it I get seven swords with elemental properties. "Goodbye and good riddance Chrysalis." She had no defence against a spell of that strength. Trying to stop one or two swords is hard enough, but throw seven in the mix, nope. It was only a few moments before all that was left of Chrysalis was bloody chunks. "Was that really necessary brother" Tia asked looking a little green. "I was irritated and didn't feel like playing with her stupid ass. I can't believe she survived and was dumb enough to attack Canterlot." I started to look around to see if I needed to help anywhere, but with the queens death all of the other changelings started to drop dead. "I just hope that little show didn't wake Luna." "I hope she recovers from whatever she had caught. LuLu has never been sick before." "She will in about ten months." Tia looked at me strangely. "Think about it" I said with a shit eating grin.
