My Friendship with Starswirl

I was a young filly, my family just starting out to start a farm. Princess Celestia sent someone very special to help our farm start out. My daddy was a little skeptical at first, so mama had to remind him that Celestia wouldn’t let anything go wrong. She to tell him “Not to bark up the wrong tree.” After that, he gave in and said it would be alright.

I remember that the day of our arrival was really hot, and we had walked for a long time. We were hoping just to live on a small family farm, 3- 4 acres at the most. We never did realize that the farm would last this long, 1012 something years later, supplying a whole town. We knew that the farm would be off like a heard of turtles, during the fist year or so. We had an old farm, that was used for generations. My daddy wanted to run with the big dogs and start his own farm, away from the “blasted oranges”, who were the next farm down. We had walked for 3 days before getting to the place we wanted to start our farm. It was out in the middle of nowhere, just like daddy wanted.

Suddenly, there was a teenaged colt, standing in front of our eyes. Hey extended his hoof, and said, " Hello, I am Starswirl, a personal friend of Celestia's and Luna's. I am pleased to meet you and help with your fist few months on your farm."

"A few months!" Daddy Sputtered. "A FEW MONTHS!"

"Yes, sir," He nodded. His hoof was still extended, but no one took it. I reached out my hoof, but my daddy stopped me. " You will not shake his hoof." turning to Starswirl, he said." Do not look, talk, touch, or stand within 5 feet of my daughter!"

"Of course Sir.

"WAIT! YOUR FATHER DIDN"T LET YOU TALK TO STARSWIRL! BUT HE"S STARSWIRL THE BEARDED! STARSWIRL!!!" Twilight cried out.

"At the time, I wasn't allowed to talk to him. At the time he was a no pony." Granny Smith said calmly.

"A NO PONY!"

"Twi! Calm down!" Rainbow Dash said.

"Granny, get back to the story, please? I know that Starswirl wasn't a big thing back then and not the nicest either, but can we get back to the story?" Apple Blom asked. No pony questioned how Apple Bloom how Starswirl acted back then, in fact, half of them were talking amongst themselvels. They couldn't believe Granny Smith knew Starswirl.

"Do you know what happened to him?"Twilight eagerly asked.

"In all good time you will find out, I am a fixin' to tell you, but in all good time." Granny Smith laughed quietly.
