Chapters It was a dark night on one of the streets of Ponyville, night time animals made noise as the fog flowed above the ground. A mare and stallion were walking alone. The mare was a unicorn, it had blue fur, a curly brown mane, and a high heel that represents her cutie mark. The stallion was a earth pony, he had turquoise fur, a black spiked up mane, and a story book that represents his cutie mark. The two were coming to a stop in the middle of a path.
"Um, Narrator, why did you bring me here?", the unicorn asked. "We're on a path around Ponyville at 1:00 in the morning. I need to get home."
"I know, Silky.", Narrator said. "But, I need to ask you something. Who was that stallion next to you on that bench?"
The unicorn rolled her eyes in confusion. "You mean that red stallion with a boxing bag?", she asked. "That was Rocky. He's my ex-boyfriend."
Narrator gave a glare at Silky. "Are you cheating on me?", he asked angrily.
"What?!", Silky asked, feeling shocked of how Narrator spoke to her. "No. Are you insane? I never wanted to be with him again. We're just friends. There was no need to ask me that. I'm cheating on you or anypony."
"Stop lying to me!", Narrator snapped. "Lying will only make things worse to what we're talking about! Why were you two laughing at each other."
"Excuse me.", Silky snorted. "You're calling your own girlfriend a liar. How incredibly rude of you. We were telling jokes and stuff to each other. Don't you understand what I'm trying to tell you?"
"Okay then.", Narrator snorted back. "See you later. Bye." He turned his back to the unicorn and walked away into the fog. He turned back to her to say one last thing. "I'll find a way to expose you with stallion you were with somehow."
"Hey!", Silky shouted. "Come back here right now! You hear me! We're not finished! You don't turn your back on me and walk away when I'm talking to you! You don't know anything about love! You're nothing but a asshole! Since you walked away while I was talking, this relationship is literally over! Good god!" She caught her breath after all that yelling. She felt light headed, so she tilted her head over.
"Christ.", she groaned. "Why was I with him in the first place? My head hurts. I need to get to bed, but it's really dark and I can't see where I need to go." She shook with fear, all she can hear is noises from night animals which makes it creepier. "I'm really scared. I want to go home, but I can't find my way. Couldn't there be anypony who can hang around here at night? I've never been alone while its dark before."
She turned and saw some creature hiding in the bushes. She wasn't sure what creature it was. It could've been a filly or a colt that's lost and alone. It didn't reveal it's face nor it spoke. "Hey, there's somepony hiding in that bush.", she said. "I bet it's friendly. At least I'm not alone anymore."
She walked over to the bush slowly, she was still a bit scared. It's never safe at night around Ponyville, because who knows what could be out there that might kill a pony. She looked around the bush to find its eyes, but's too dark in the bush. She had no choice but to speak to it. "Um, hello?", she asked. "Is there anypony in there. And are you alright? What are you doing in this bush?"
Then, all of sudden...
*SLICE* *GIRL SCREAMS*
A spinning blade dashed from the bush. It sliced through Silky's forehead. She dropped to the ground on her back. Blood ran down the sides of her head. She had no soul, no heart beat, and no pulse. The mare was gone.
In the morning, Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon were playing hide and seek. Starlight was the seeker and Trixie was the hider. "Where are you, Trixie?", Starlight asked playfully. "I know you're around here somewhere. I'll find you somehow." They were playing a hall.
Trixie was hiding behind a plant that Starlight was a few inches away from. She teleported five feet over Starlight and fell on here. The two tumbled to the ground. Trixie smiled and teased Starlight. "Got you pinned.", she snickered. The two giggled cutely.
Just then, Twilight found them. "Girls, would you keep it down, I'm trying to read a book in my room.", she said.
Trixie got off Starlight and helped her up. "Sorry, Twilight, we're happy that Summer's almost here.", she said.
"Yeah.", Starlight said. "Aren't you excited about that?"
"Of course, Summer is awesome.", Twilight said. "But, I do need to read books in my mean time."
Spike the dragon arrived. "Morning, girls, I thought I heard somepony playing hide and seek in the halls.", he said.
Twilight was surprised to see Spike. "Spike, where have you been?", she asked. "Where were you early in the morning?"
"Huh? What do you mean where have I been? What are you talking about?", Spike asked.
Twilight turned around and saw that Starlight and Trixie were standing there, listening to the conversation between her and Spike. "Um, can you girls play somewhere else?", she asked. "Me and Spike need to talk."
Starlight and Trixie shrugged and left the two be.
"Spike, what happened last night? Why didn't you turn up to bed at 4:00?", Twilight asked angrily.
"Twilight, I don't know what you're talking about.", Spike said. "I was in bed all night. The time when I got out of bed is when I needed to use the bathroom."
"Huh, really?", Twilight asked as she didn't believe Spike. "What took you so long to go to the bathroom so late at night?"
"I was only in the bathroom for five minutes to go to the toilet.", Spike said. "I don't understand what you're talking about, Twilight. Were you having a dream about me?"
"No.", Twilight snarled. "It's not a joke. You weren't in bed for a few hours. We're you doing something in secret?"
"No, I wasn't secretly doing anything.", Spike said. "You know I would never go anywhere at night to do something stupid. I don't understand you, Twilight. I've been in bed all night. I haven't left the room. It must be your imagination."
"Well, I have trusted you in years, so you're maybe right.", Twilight said. "I guess I have been dreaming about you. Even though, I didn't imagine things too much. So, I'm sorry, Spike. But, if you're going somewhere at night, please let me know. I was worried sick about you."
There was a scream through the hall. Trixie came running with a newspaper in her magic. "Twilight, read this article.", she said.
Twilight took the newspaper and read the article. "Last night at 1:00, a 21 year old unicorn had a spinning blade in her forehead on a path of Ponyville. The instigators found out that the killer was in a bush, but they didn't have any clue who is was. She was found at 7:00 with a big bloody puddle under her head. She was rushed to the hospital to get lots of surgeries and a load of stitches. The instigators will find out about the murderer ."
"OH MY CELESTIA!", Twilight yelled with fright. "Who could've done this?! I never knew there could be killers in Ponyville. Now, I'm scared to go out there at night. I don't want to end up like that girl."
"Me too.", Trixie said.
"Where's Starlight?", Spike asked.
"She went shopping.", Trixie said.
Sugar Belle Tells Big Mac
Big Mac was dusting his kitchen. He dusted the cabinets, the kitchen table, and the pictures on the walls. He turned around, not noticing Sugar Belle standing in front of him, and accidently started waving the duster in her face.
Sugar Belle huffed and puffed in some air and sneezed. "Achew.", she said.
"Oh my.", Big Mac said. "Sugar Belle, I'm so sorry, I didn't know you were there."
"It's ok, Big Mac.", Sugar Belle said. "It's just tickles on the nose."
"Oh, I got a little something for that nose right now.", Big Mac said. He began smooching Sugar Belle on the nose.
It tickled her. Nothing else tickled than just a kiss on the lips. "Hahahaha. Big Mac, please stop. It tickles.", she giggled.
Big Mac removed his lips from her nose. "Sorry, got a bit carried away.", he said.
Sugar Belle giggled and blushed with embarrassment. "It's alright, you know how much it tickles when you kiss my nose.", she said. "My nose is pretty ticklish when it comes to kissing it. Anyways, I came back with groceries." She removed her bags from her mid section. "Oh, I also ran into my old friend, Starlight."
"Oh, nice.", Big Mac said. "How's she doing?"
"She's doing fine with Trixie and Twilight.", Sugar Belle said. "As for Twilight, she's not happy with Spike at the moment."
"Huh? What are you talking about?", Big Mac asked.
"Starlight told me Twilight accused him of going out in the middle of the night and doing secretive stuff."
"You've got to be kidding me.", Big Mac said. "Spike's my best bud. Why would he go out in the middle of the night and do stuff that he's keeping away from Twilight?"
"I don't know.", Sugar Belle said. "As for my guess, maybe he has a secret family that he's hiding from Twilight."
"That sounds like nothing like Spike to me.", Big Mac scoffed. "If you think he's been sleeping with a secret family, I think he actually is."
"Oh no he wouldn't.", Sugar Belle scoffed. "If he was I would bake him into a cake with my oven."
"That's right.", Big Mac said in a tough tone of voice. "Then, I'll get my knife and slice it in pieces."
Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were taking a glance at the field of apple trees. "How are you going to get these tress cleared before Summer, Applejack?", Rarity asked.
"Granny Smith sent a letter to Braeborn to come and help me get the farm straightened up before the season starts.", Applejack said.
"Well, I bet he's on his way right now.", Rainbow Dash said.
"This Summer's going to be spectacular!", Pinkie cheered. "We can go swimming, go to the beach-"
"Some of us might have to do some work before we have fun in the Summer, Pinkie.", Scootaloo said.
"Yeah, my sister has dresses to make, Fluttershy needs to take care of her animals, Applejack has to do some chores around the farm, Rainbow Dash has to go to Wonderbolts Camp, Twilight has to read books, Starlight and Trixie are doing magic spells, Scootaloo is learning how to fly, you have to bake cakes at Sugarcube Corner, and... uh, I don't really know what kind of work I have before I do Summer fun, maybe just practice singing.", Sweetie Belle said.
"It's true, Sweetie Belle, you do need to practice some singing.", Fluttershy said.
"Maybe when Rara comes over, you and her can practice a good song.", Applejack said.
"Applejack! Applejack!", a voice yelled. It was Apple Bloom, running to her sister.
"Apple Bloom, what's going on? Were you in a hurry for something?", Applejack asked.
"No, I found blood on a street of Ponyville, there was mare who was found murdered this morning, there were detectives investigating!", Apple Bloom said.
"What?! No! That's bad. Like really bad.", Applejack said, worried. "Maybe, you shouldn't walk around Ponyville that often. Maybe visit places with your friends."
"Maybe I'll go to Sugarcube Corner.", Apple Bloom thought. "Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, are you two free to come?"
"No.", the two said.
"We have to work with Applejack with her farm for a bit.", Scootaloo said.
"Maybe next time.", Sweetie Belle said.
"Ok, I'll see you later.", Apple Bloom said. She walked away and thought to herself. "If Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo aren't available, who else can I hang out with. Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon are on vacation with their parents at the beach and Dinky is in Manehatten with her mom. Maybe, I'll check with Tender Taps, I bet he's free."
Tender Taps and Apple Bloom were sitting at Sugarcube Corner having a drink. "Thanks for joining me at Sugarcube Corner, Tender.", the yellow filly said. "It's not like I get to hang out with you often."
"It's a pleasure, Apple Bloom.", Tender said. "Also, did you hear the news about that mare that was killed last night?"
"Yes I did.", Apple Bloom said. "And it's really weird. I mean Ponyville's peaceful when it's night time."
"Yeah.", Tender said. "All we hear is crickets chirping and the owls go hoo on tree branches. But, a murderer, I hope he gets caught and gets executed."
"Totally.", Apple Bloom said. "Do you want to take a walk around Ponyville."
"Sure.", Tender said.
Tender Taps and Apple Bloom were laying down under a tree. The bright sunlight warmed Apple Bloom's belly. She sighed in relaxation. "This is a beautiful day today.", she said. "What do you think, Tender?"
"Yeah, is sure is, Apple Bloom.", Tender said. "Hopefully, Ponyville will be peaceful again soon."
"I hope so too.", Apple Bloom said. She turned on her side with a worried look on her face, facing Tender. "But, I'm afraid. What if it gets us?"
"Apple Bloom, the murderer came at night and we only come in daylight, including detectives.", Tender said, turning on his side, facing Apple Bloom. "So, there's not a chance that the murderer will get us. When it's night, it's scary and dark. I promise you it won't get your or me. Don't worry, I'm always there for you."
Apple Bloom sat up and hugged her friend. "Thanks, Tender.", she said.
"So, you see, there's nothing to worry about.", Tender said. "We're having a great day, so don't let that thought ruin your day with me. Just think positive that you are here with me today."
"Well, I should probably get back.", Apple Bloom said. "Applejack would want me back for dinner." The two stood up on their hooves. "I'll see you later.", the filly said.
"Bye, Apple Bloom.", Tender said, waving to his friend, as she galloped away. "Wow, today's been fantastic. I think I should start heading home, I'm getting tired and sleepy. Me and Apple Bloom have been walking ten miles. My legs are killing me."
It was now morning. Twilight woke up by yawning and removing the sheets from her body. "Good Morning, hooves.", she said, wiggling her hooves cute, like she had toes to wiggle. "Good morning, wings." She flapped her wings. "Good morning, belly." She poked and propped her belly. It made her giggle. "Stop it, Twi. Don't tickle your own belly. That's silly." She looked at Spike and flew to him. She whispered in his ear. "Good morning, Spike. Wake up." Spike didn't wake up, just moan. "Okay, Spike, you left me no choice but to do this." She reached a hoof in Spike's blanket and tickled him. "Tickle. Tickle. Tickle." But, Spike didn't laugh, wonder why. She then shook him. "Come on, Spike, wake up. It's time to get up." But, still no response from Spike. Twilight was getting angrier and angrier. She sucked in air and let out the most loud shout she had ever shouted. "WAKE UUUUUUUUUUUP!"
Spike woke up screaming and fell on his tail out of bed. "You made me land on my tail, idiot!", he snarled. "What did you do that for?"
"Well, Spike, that's what you get for ignoring me.", Twilight said. "You deserve it. Now, come on."
The two walked out the bedroom, seeing Starlight and Trixie running to them. "Twilight!", they called.
"Starlight. Trixie. What's wrong?", Twilight asked.
"Read this newspaper.", Starlight said.
Twilight took and looked at the newspaper and gasped. The article said, An old mare was found killed in her house this morning. Ponies heard her screams from all across the village. One of her neighbors entered the house and found her dead in her bedroom. Her throat was split open, there was blood all over the bed, and she was stabbed eight times in the chest. The pony was so terrified that he/she nearly had a heart attack. The detectives were investigating the clues of the murder. As for the evidence, they were from the same murderer who killed that mare on the street. But, this murderer used a different weapon than the one he used last time. If there was a murderer on the loose, it could've been somepony else.
"Doesn't that freak you out?", Trixie asked.
"Not again!", Twilight shrieked. "First, it happened on a street of Ponyville and now, somepony's house. Who could be out there killing ponies?"
"I don't know.", Spike said. "They need to find the murderer fast."
Tender Taps Meets Braeburn
Apple Bloom was in were her bedroom with Tender Taps. They were sitting on the bed. "Thanks for coming over to my house, Tender.", she said. "This is like my first time having you here."
"No problem.", Tender said. "And I got to say this house is big. But..." He decided to tease Apple Bloom. "Not as big as your belly."
"Yeah, I belly so small, and I have four small hooves.", Apple Bloom said, sticking her hooves in the air and flopping them back down.
"Hold on a second.", Tender said. "Check this out." He put both hooves to Apple Blooms sides and squeezed, causing the gut of the yellow filly's belly rise. "Up and down the belly goes."
Apple Bloom laughed. "Stop. It tickles.", she snorted.
The door was being opened by a stallion with yellow fur, an tanned mane, a cowboy hat, and a cowboy vest. "Now, what in tarnation is going on in this room?", the stallion said, walking in the room.
Tender removed his hooves in embarrassment and answered the strange pony. "I'm just... playing with her stomach, that's all.", he said. "Who are you?"
"Braeburn. My name is Braeburn.", the cowboy said. "And what's yours?"
"Um... I'm Tender Taps.", Tender answered.
"It's nice to meet you, Fender Laps.", Braeburn said.
"My name is Tender Taps, not Fender Laps.", Tender said, shocked.
"Fender Laps?", Braeburn asked.
"No. My name is Tender Taps. T-E-N-D-E-R T-A-P-S. Tender Taps.", Tender corrected, with a disgusted look on his face.
Braeburn chuckled. "Tender, I was just playin'.", he said. "Anyways, it's nice to meet you. Are you and Apple Bloom datin'?"
The two blushed madly. "No, were just best buddies.", they said.
"Okay then.", Braeburn said. "I don't mind if you guys are datin'. Sorry if it was a personal question. Now, if you two excuse me, I'm going to help my sister buck some apple trees."
"Uh, Apple Bloom, who is Braeburn?", Tender asked.
"Braeburn is my cousin.", Apple Bloom said. "He was invited over here to do chores with my sister before the Summer comes."
"Okay then. What a nice pony he is.", Tender said. "Hey, do you want to see the moves I performed in a show."
"Sure.", Apple Bloom said.
Why Isn't She Happy With Me?
At the detective agency, Spike was sitting at a desk with one of the detectives. The detective's fur was light brown, his mane was white, and he wore a suit and tie. "I'm Detective Harley.", he said. "What's yours."
"My name is Spike.", Spike said.
"Okay, very then.", the detective said. "So, what's the problem behind your visit? It seems right now you're having a complicated relationship with your friend. Why?"
"Well... I don't know.", Spike said.
"What do you mean you don't know? How could you not know about your relationship with your friend?", the detective asked.
"I said, I don't know, is because my friend's been dreaming about me being missing the other night and she's been sensitive.", Spike said. "I never got a clue where she's got that from. I didn't disappear while she was sleeping, but she said I did. She's also been angry over me. She thinks I'm doing something in secret. I just... I just don't understand why she's not happy with me. She's acting like she normally does to me. And every time I go to bed, she gets nosey about what I'm doing, such as brushing my teeth and everything. She never stops being so sensitive over me. She's been talking to me like how her mother talks to her when she's caught red hoofed. So, that's why I'm here."
"I understand how difficult it is for you.", Detective Harley said. "That your friend is starting to lose your trust over what happened the other day. Correct?"
"Yes, Sir.", Spike said.
"I think the most possible way is to say sorry to your friend.", Detective Harley said. "Doesn't that sound nice?"
"Of course.", Spike said. "I tried doing that, but she's still continuing to be so sensitive. I don't know how to make this up. I don't know how to get the happy Twilight back. She's everything to me and I love her to pieces. I don't want her to send me away, because if she does, I'll be all alone."
"Look, kid, you keep imagining things too much.", Detective Harley said. "I think that would be a huge problem to have your friend send you away. You need to sort this out with her fast. If not, then she'll lose interest of you and your life will be over. And you don't want that happening, don't you?"
"Absolutely not.", Spike said. "If she sends me away, I'll go through a lot of depression for the rest of my life. And she'll want me to stay away from the whole pony gang. And I love them to bits. And I'll feel like the worst friend in Equestria. And I don't want another friend to replace her. She's perfect... just perfect. I can't describe how perfect of a friend she is. She's my whole world."
"Don't panic.", Detective Harley said. "Everything will be fine. Just don't think about what will happen. Just talk to her. That's the only way to fix it. Just tell her, your sorry, and it'll all be over. How simple is that?"
"Very simple.", Spike said, getting up from his seat. "Thanks for the advice, Sir. I'll do exactly what you told me to do and it will end. Bye." He dashed out the room to go back to the castle.
"No problem.", Harley said. "Bye." He smile turned to a scheme. He pulled out his radio and spoke to the chief. "Chief, I found the creature who was killing ponies in Ponyville at night. He just left my office. We need backup. Now!"
"We lost him, Chief.", a detective said. The detective's name was Duke, he had grey fur with a cyan mane. He was standing with his buddy, Brock, who had maroon fur and an orange mane. "Our team couldn't find him. He got away. We're really sorry, sir."
"Crap!", the chief shouted. "We were so close. We shall move to Plan B."
"And what is that, sir?", Brock asked.
"Well, for Plan B, we're going to putting posters around Ponyville, so other ponies in Ponyville will be sure of what he looks like. What I want to know is where he lives, who's his family, and what's his name. If he lived somewhere else out of this village, then I have no idea what to do. But, who knows, maybe he might be on a killing spree tonight. So, we'll up all night trying to find him. We're not giving on this case."
"Sir, we looked everywhere.", Duke said. "We checked every street, we asked questions to ponies who might have seen him, and other stuff we can do to find him."
"Don't worry.", the chief said. "We have loads of plans to find this killer. And you two would possibly be dead by now if he ambushed you and killed you. Seriously, you would be dead. We need backup. Back to your offices now. We have work to do."
Spike stepped foot in Twilight's castle. "Twilight, Starlight, Trixie, I'm home.", he called. There was no reply. "Hello? Girls? We'll that's strange. Nopony's here. Maybe I'll go to Twilight's room to see if she's in there." He ran upstairs and went to Twilight's door. He spotted a note taped to it. "Huh? What's this?" He tore the note off the wall and read it. The note was all written by Twilight.
"Spike,
This is put on my bedroom door and I hope you're reading this and why nopony's in this castle. Sadly, I don't want to say this, but here it comes. I left you, Starlight, Trixie, and I went somewhere where you'll never find us, which means we're out of Ponyville right now. You know why? Because, you're becoming a complete different dragon who's getting grumpier and grumpier and it seems like you don't know why you disappeared at night and make excuses about sleepwalking. Spike, you lived with me for years, and you've never been behaving like that to me before and it sounds like you're lying. That's why I had to get away from you, because I can't take it with your lies anymore. When I come back, I want you to face the truth towards me.
Twilight Sparkle
P.S. I feel like I'm starting to lose your trust."
Spike was shocked and heartbroken, Twilight never wrote something like that to him. He sat against the wall and his eyes started to tear up with fear.
Spike was crying on his bed, thinking about how Twilight left him alone in the castle. "I can't believe Twilight did this to me.", he sobbed. "Now, I'm left alone in the castle."
After a whole moment of crying, he went to bed and fell asleep.
Inside his head, he was laying down in on his back in a dark area, he was still asleep. A dragon that looked like him, covered in black walked up to him and kneeled down at his left side. He laid his claw on Spike's belly. "Well, well, well, it looks like I'm going to have a lot of fun tonight.", the dragon chuckled evilly. "Oh, poor Spike, he's upset, because his friends left him. Well, that's how I want it to be. I'm always going to ruin your life, no matter what. Spike, I always wanted you to die. For all the years, I was stuck in your mind and your soul. I can finally going to get my revenge, I'm going to make you the most evil dragon I want you to be. I'm going to make you the most powerful killer ever. I'm here to ruin your life and make you close to death as possible, and you can't stop me, because I'm in control of your mind. I'm your master and you must obey all my commands. I know you can't hear, because what I'm doing is wasting my time talking to you. So, let the madness begin."
Spike's eyes shot open and an evil laugh erupted from his mouth.
"Spike, finish brushing your teeth and get to bed!", Twilight shouted. She was sitting on her bed, waiting for Spike to come to her room.
"Twilight, I just finished brushing my teeth.", Spike said, coming into the room. "I was cleaning up the mess."
"Okay.", Twilight said. "You clean the rest of that mess tomorrow. Did you have a shower?"
"Yes.", Spike said.
"Clean the toilet?", Twilight asked.
"Yes.", Spike said again.
"Clean the tub?", Twilight asked.
"Twilight, every question you ask me, each answer will be 'yes'.", Spike snarled. "You sound like you treat me as Starlight and Trixie. Stop with that. You are starting to get irritating."
"I don't you to be missing.", Twilight said. "Even though you didn't know what you were doing at that time and you're telling me the truth behind this. I'm sorry, Spike. But, I got to do what I've got to do."
"Fine.", Spike groaned. "Just to make you happy, I don't know what got into you behind all this."
The two got tucked in their beds. "Oh, Spike, if you're going to use the bathroom, you have to tell me.", Twilight said. She went to sleep.
"Geez, she's starting to be a drama queen.", Spike thought in his head. "Nothing bad happened at that time. I didn't leave the house and went anywhere. Oh well, I must get some sleep."
Starlight Meets Sugar Belle
Starlight was at the market, shopping for some food. She bought milk, sugar, frosting, and food coloring for more cakes she need to make. She turned and saw one of her friends from her old village, Sugar Belle. She smiled with joy and hugged her. "Sugar Belle!", she cheered. "It's so good to see you again."
Sugar Belle was delighted to see Starlight. "Starlight Glimmer, it's nice to see you too.", she said. "Haven't seen you since the party we thrown for you back at the village. How's your time with being s student of Twilight's?"
"I'm doing awesome.", Starlight said. "In fact, I recently graduated."
"You graduated!", Starlight asked. "Wee! I'm so happy for you!" She abruptly wrapped her hooves around the pink unicorn and hugged her tightly.
Starlight chuckled. "Ok, that's enough.", she said, untangling herself from Sugar's embrace. "So, what are you going here?"
"I'm staying here to be work with my boyfriend, Big Mac.", Sugar Belle said.
"Big Mac?", Starlight asked. She gasped as she remembered. "Oh, right, Big Macintosh, Applejack's older brother. How's he doing?"
"He's doing good.", Sugar Belle said. "He's doing the cleaning around the barn and I'm doing the baking. How's your friend doing?"
"Trixie's doing great.", Starlight said. "She and I are doing magic spells together."
"You still didn't tell me how you and her met.", Sugar Belle said.
"Me and Trixie met at the spa of Ponyville.", Starlight said. "There was also something about her that I never knew. She was a bully to Twilight, because she was jealous of her. Twilight was great at everything, and she wanted to beat her at something."
"That's awful, at least she learned her lesson now that you started living with Twilight and her other friends.", Sugar Belle said. "Oh, how's Twilight doing?"
"She's... not doing well.", Starlight sighed.
"Oh my.", Sugar Belle said. "What's been going on?"
"She's accusing Spike about him running out of the castle and doing secretive things without letting her know.", Starlight said.
"Oh dear.", Sugar Belle said. "What kind of secretive things?"
"I don't know.", Starlight said. "There must be something wrong with him. Anyways, I have to get back with these groceries. I'll see you later." She turned away and ran back to the castle.
"Ok, bye, Starlight.", Sugar Belle said, waving at her friend. She got suspicious about Spike. "I swear, if that boy was doing something secretive, then I would wish I was an evil overlord and kill him or bring Double Diamond over and make him beat his ass."
Apple Bloom was talking a walk around Ponyville, though she was skipping around. She felt so happy, it felt really good. She let the sun beam down on her face, it felt so warm. The light of the sun made her feel more yellow, like her fur becoming brighter. She felt so alive.
As she continued to be happy, as she turned to see something odd on the strange. She didn't feel too happy anymore. There were detectives taking a look at something. The filly can hardly see what they're investigating. She walked up close and saw... blood, blood from the girl who was murdered last night. She felt her heart racing and the pupils in her eyes shrunk with fear. She needed to ask somepony.
"Um, excuse me?", she asked, poking the stallion detective's shoulder.
The detective turned to look at the filly. "Beg your pardon, little missy?", it asked.
"What happened here?", Apple Bloom asked, pointing at the blood.
"There's been a murderer on the loose and a mare was found killed this morning and we're still investigating who killed her.", the stallion detective said.
"We're telling you that in case you didn't know.", the mare detective said. "This murderer could be very dangerous."
"Oh pony feathers.", Apple Bloom said, worried. "This day was going so well because it's almost Summer. But, I'm stunned that this happened."
"Well, you might want to keep your eye out for the murderer.", the stallion detective said. "We don't want you to end up like that mare."
Apple Bloom walked away, she decided to head home.
At a local detective agency, the chief was analyzing the weapon the murderer threw at the mare's head to his detectives (Jemma, Howard, and Benedict). Jemma's a light blue mare with a white mane. Howard's a lime green stallion with a dark green mane. And Benedict's a orange stallion with a red mane. "So, the weapon was taken out of the mare's head and our scientists have been finding details about it. Including finger prints.", the chief said. "They use their sense of scanning technology to scan things that were left by murderers. Any questions?"
"Yes.", Howard said. "Have they found out who it was or not yet?"
"Well, let me show you a picture, Detective Howard.", the chief said, revealing a picture out of his jacket. The picture showed Spike. But, how could it be Spike? He's a kind dragon. He would never do such a thing.
"Who's that dragon's name?", Jemma asked. "I'm not sure if I've seen him before."
"I'm not sure, Detective Jemma.", the chief said. "But, we will find out for sure. Then, we'll torture him and kill him and make sure he never returns to the world ever again. Sadly, about the mare, she died in the hospital yesterday morning. The injury was so bad that half of her brain was nearly disconnected to the insides of her body. And her left eye was split in half. Her funeral will be at town hall in the next three weeks."
"Sir, I'm not trying to be rude.", Benedict said. "But, do you think you have the wrong suspect? He seems innocent."
"We're never wrong, Detective Benedict.", the chief said. "The scientists scanned the finger prints on the weapon and it said that this dragon was the one who killed that mare."
Twilight, Starlight, and Trixie are staying at Rarity's shop to keep away from Spike. Twilight's sitting on Rarity's couch to relax. "Thanks for letting stay for a week, Rarity.", she said.
"No problem, Twilight.", Rarity said. "So, why did you want to spend the night here again? You never spent the night here with me before."
Twilight frowned angrily. "I needed to get away from Spike, Rarity.", she snarled. "I told you what I wrote on that letter before me, Starlight, and Trixie left the castle. When the whole week with you is done, he has to face the truth towards me."
"Yeah, but Spike is so sweet and kind.", Rarity said. "Did you really think he was lying to you when he disappeared at night?"
"Yes, I tried my hardest to have him tell me the truth, I just... I needed a break from, because it's way too much for me.", Twilight said.
"I understand, Twilight.", Rarity said. "Starlight and Trixie must be warm and cozy on that mattress I brought them."
"Yeah, they're cute when they snuggle together.", Twilight said. "You know, where will I sleep tonight?"
"You can sleep in my bed for the week, Twilight.", Rarity said. "Me and Sweetie Belle will share her bed, hopefully she doesn't get grumpy when I get too close to her while I'm in bed with her. Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to get ready for bed." Rarity trotted upstairs to her dressing room.
Starlight came to see Twilight. She was upset. "Twilight, I'm not happy here.", she snorted. "I want to go back to the castle."
"I'm sorry, Starlight, but we have to.", Twilight said. "Besides, Rarity's our friend, she can do anything for us."
"But, I want to, Twilight.", Starlight snorted again. "I can't stay here for long and I'm bored. Trixie's also bored. The reason why we're staying in this shop, because you needed to be away from Spike."
"Starlight, I done this before, me and my friends always leave Spike at my place, that way he's safe.", Twilight said. "And I want to be safe away from him for a while, because I feel like I'm starting to lose his trust. I'm sorry, Starlight, but you have to deal with this place."
"But, I don't understand why you're starting to lose his trust.", Starlight complained.
"Because, I feel like what he told me were lies.", Twilight snarled. "I wrote him a note on my bedroom door saying that I have to be away from him for a while, so that way he can think about what he has done and he'll have a chance to reflect on his ways to make it all up."
"Twilight, I left my spell book at the castle.", Starlight growled. "Can I at least go back to the castle to get it?"
"No, Starlight, because Spike's there.", Twilight said. "You can use my book from now on until our week with Rarity is over. Now, quit complaining and go back to bed."
"Fine.", Starlight groaned as she went back to where she was sleeping with Trixie.
