I need to see Spike. That's what this is all about. Sure, I liked his friends, but I had spent time with them plenty already. Even though I didn't expect any of it out of him, everything I saw was everything I adored.
"We're here.", Thorax said, shaking me completely out of my trance. He looked down at me with concern plastered on his face. "Are you okay? You seem kind of...out of it.", he asked.
"I'm fine. I was just thinking about all of the stuff we can do and I got distracted. That's all", I replied sheepishly.
"Alright then.", Thorax gave me a small grin as he opened the door and led me inside.
"I think I should take the lead from here, the castle can get quite confusing. Even for the Elements of Harmony, this place is like a maze. Must be more so for you since you've only been here once", I explained to him, forgetting that changelings were very keen on finding their way through places.

I found the distinct lack of Thorax x Spike stories quite upsetting. I had the ship in my mind for a while and wanted to look for a story focused on that to read. I failed to find any. I was very disappointed that there were no fanfictions regarding this perfect ship. So, I decided to write one myself! I also think 'Spirax' fits well as a ship name.
So, here you go. If there were other people like me searching for a Spirax story but to no avail couldn't seem to find one that actually had development if you actually came across one, you no longer need to search. If there's a ship that doesn't have a story, but it's something I keep thinking about, I'll take it upon myself to write one to satisfy my fantasies.
After finishing season 6, this ship just kept ringing in my head. So, I searched for Spike and Thorax stories but couldn't find any. I had to fix that. This ship is just too good!
