The quest begins (edited)
Hi there, the name is Leon Stonestrom, I'm a young gryphon who lives in the small town of Stepping Stone, just east of the Celestial Sea. My feathers are gray, my fur is as white as snow and my eyes are emerald green. My father is a inventor and my mother is a chef.
One day, my father showed me some strange machine he called a “Computer”. When he left the room to work on another project, I quickly sat down in the chair he used to operate the invention and got on it for a little bit. The first time I messed with it, I saw something incredible, what appeared to be a whole world! There were trees all around and weird creatures walking. I quickly shut the computer off, thinking that perhaps I was just a going just a little crazy.
The very next day as I used it, I saw that world again, but this time I also saw what appeared to be a huge insect fighting a bipedal fox. As I saw the fox losing I thought, “This isn't a fight it's a massacre! I wish I could help it. ”
All of a sudden a voice with tone of great power and a mysterious air of wisdom began to flow into my mind. “Why do you want to help? It’s not your fight.” I think long and hard, then a thought came to me. “I'd never pass up a chance to help those who need it! ” After this, I felt a little weak, as the fox all of a sudden started mounting a comeback. It started to speed up and its attacks were more furious. As it finished off its enemy, I was shocked to see it bow to the screen, as if it could see me and was thanking me.
"I have to tell Dad this!” I thought. But as expected, he just thought I was making it up.
That night, I had a weird dream about me and that fox, fighting together against an enemy that I just couldn't make out.
When I woke up, I started getting ready to train. Per my father’s wishes, I was taking fencing lessons. Grabbing my gear I headed towards a forest that borders my hometown. The trees made for easy targets, and I didn’t have to worry about accidentally injuring any bystanders.
Hours passed uneventfully, but as I was concluding my lessons for the day, I heard a loud “BANG!” coming from the other edge of town. There were fires all over and dead bodies littered the town. Blood was around several houses.
I quickly flew to my house, only to see my mom dead and my father badly injured, with a broken wing, and blood all over his body!
"Father, what's going on?!” I asked, anger visible on my beak. My muscles tensed u[ and my heart raced, thinking of how much pain he was in.
"Run! They’re after my invention! Don't let them get it!” My father managed to wheeze out of his beak.
But before I was able to react a dozen bandit's had ambushed me and trussed me up! My wings were tied together and my talons were trapped in a claw holder.
As I heard the bandits laugh at how easy it was to pillage the town, one of the bandits suddenly went silent. “What was that!?!” One of them exclaimed, having seen a yellow blur just before another bandit was apparently knocked out.
Having seen the blur myself, I was praying that whatever it was could help me. As I did it seemed that more and more of the bandits went silent. When there were only a few paranoid bandits left, whatever it was slowed down, and I got a good look at my saviour. It was a bipedal yellow fox with purple arm bands that had weird half circles on it.
"No way! How can it be?!” I thought, recognizing the guardian as that fox creature I’d seen on the computer. As said figure was just about done knocking all the bandits out, it got hit in the back and flew through a wall, taking a lot of damage.
"Please, don't give up! ” I thought. Like last time, I felt a little weak, but this time a glow could be seen flowing out of me and into the fox.
"Am I giving energy to it? ” I thought, puzzled as it tore through the last couple of bandits and grabbed me and my father. “T-thank you.” I managed to wheeze out, before I started to fall unconscious.
Just before I blacked out though, I saw the fox walk away as my father wheezed out. “I don't know who you are. But I beg of you, please take care of my son!”
“I will with my life,” The fox answered back.
When I finally woke up, I saw that the fox like figure was still around. “Why did you save me?” I asked.
The figure looked at me with what seemed to be a smile. “Cause, I couldn't just stand by and let you die. You’re my partner.”
I was confused by the statement of “partner”, but I had a nagging question that I knew I needed to ask that was more important. “And my father? Is he okay?”
The figure’s smile instantly faded. “I'm sorry, he's dead. Blood loss,” It explained to me in what sounded like a feminine voice. “His last words were to keep you safe, and I intend to do so with my life.”
I couldn’t stop the tears from flowing, my father was dead, stripped of his life by those ruthless bandits! And the worst part about it all, I didn’t even know who they were or what they’d wanted with my father, let alone why they’d attacked my entire town. “Why did this have to happen? Why didn’t you show up earlier when you could’ve saved my father’s life?! How do I know you’re not with those monsters?!” I demanded, my sadness quickly being replaced with rage!
"I came as quickly as I could, but my journey took longer than expected,” The figure explained. “Traveling to this world used up a lot of my energy, by the time I arrived the bandits had already laid waste to most of the city. I assure you, I would never work with such heartless creatures that would take innocent lives. But I have been chosen to be your guardian, and you in turn have been chosen to be my partner. I wish to know your name.”
"Well my name is Leon Stonestrom.” I answered, still struggling to grasp my emotions.
I'm Renamon, and I'm sorry for your loss,” Renamon apologized. “If only I was faster! If only I had been around sooner.” She said the last part with obvious fury in her voice.
"No, it’s not your fault. It's mine for being too weak,” I replied, regretting that despite all those fencing lessons, I couldn’t even use them to protect what I cared about. “You took on five dozen and won, I couldn't even beat six!”
“But you had to give me energy again!” Renamon explained. “Why can't I win on my own?!” She cried frustrated as she slammed a paw against the ground, clearly upset over this.
“It’s not a bad thing to need help. How bout we work together instead of you just going solo?” I asked, as I walked up her and patted her on the back. After I did so, I saw a blue and white colored device appear on my waist. “Uh, Renamon, what is this?” I nervously asked, holding up the strange object.
To say that Renamon was shocked would’ve been an understatement! She seemed to be at a loss for words, at least for a few minutes. “That’s a digivice!” She exclaimed. “It looks like you're my tamer!” She seemed to be in awe of how easily a bond had been forged between us.
“Your tamer?” I asked, as I looked over the device.
"Yes, my tamer. I am a creature known as a digimon,” Renamon explained. “I am a Data Type, rookie level digimon. As a digimon or digital monster, I battle other monsters, sometimes for sport and sometimes for survival. I’ve trained in the art of ninjutsu in the digital world, and have battled many opponents over the years. But, fate has brought us together, for it must sense that we need each other to become stronger. That device you wield, is not only a sign of our bond, but by using special cards you can help give me an edge in battle.”
“So, we’re partners?” I asked, to which Renamon nodded. “Well, I guess some good came out of today, though I must admit I’m not sure what a tamer’s supposed to do. We can worry about that later though, for now we should get going.”
“Where to?” Renamon asked, keeping close.
“Well, I think we should head to a town I read about, called Ponyville. It's not terribly far from here,” I explained. “It’s a peaceful town from what I’ve heard, quite friendly too.”
As we walked along, I looked at Renamon and asked her. “Can I know more about you?”
“Like what?” Renamon replied, clearly confused and uncertain of what she should say.
"What was your life like before we met?” I asked Renamon. “You came from another world, what was it like?
Renamon spoke without hesitation, but I was not prepared for what she told me. “Well, after I digivolved into this form, I was stuck training in my home, Ninja Village,” She told me. “Then one day, a rival clan came to try and take over. They ultimately failed, but managed to delete my family and friends. The only reason I was spared was because I was useful. When you first saw me in that computer, you aided me in battle against the leader of that rival clan and helped me defeat him,” Desperate to not shed tears, Renamon changed subjects as she asked me. “What about you, Leon?”
"Well, until I saw you through the computer, I was just a normal gryphon living an average life,” I explained. “I practiced fencing, but I never got a chance to go beyond the basics. My father invented that ‘computer’ which is how we met. But I only had a few friends in my life, and now they’re all gone.” I added, feeling the tears come back.
"How are your wings doing?” Renamon asked me, looking at them. “I know from friends of mine that having them bound like that can't be good.”
“A tiny bit sore, but I'll manage.” I answered, as we entered what seemed to be a dark and creepy forest.
“Be on your guard, Leon! Something is off here!” Renamon warned.
I nodded, as we walked through the forest together. Maybe it was just my imagination, but it felt like we were being watched.
As we approached ruins in the distance, a pack of what appeared to be wooden wolves emerged, and they tried to take a bite out of us! I dodged to the left and Renamon dodged to the right!
“I've got this! Diamond storm!” Renamon shouted! She tucked her arms in and diamonds suddenly (and inexplicably) formed around her! She spread her arms out, the diamonds launched out at the wolves, shredding them into pieces!
"Well that was-wait, what?!” I shouted, as the wolves regenerated and start to combine into one huge one.
“Run, now!” Renamon ordered, as she took off! I followed as fast as I possibly could, sprinting over tree branches and around rocks!
“There, I see a cottage!” Renamon suddenly cried out, as we both ran out of the forest! As we passed the cottage, we collapsed, both of us utterly exhausted.

Now remember to use your magic,look deep inside and search for a spark.” Said Twilight Sparkle. She was at the school having volunteered to teach the Unicorn foals how to use their magic. “Then grab it and form it as I say.”
Her dragon assistant was sitting on a swing while the older mare was teaching the small class to try the classic short range teleportation spell.
“Uh miss Twilight is that supposed to happen?” Asked Sweetie Belle. She had tried to use a teleport spell but instead of moving she had made a green portal pop up.
"No,everypony get back! Something is coming out!” Princess Celestia’s student ordered the foals, as she saw a red creature that appeared to be a small dragon with a weird symbol on its chest touched down and started to attack.
‘What is that? Whatever it is I can't let it hurt the foals!’ She started to charge her magic but the dragon saw this and with a cry of “Pyro Sphere!” shot a ball of fire at Twilight.
Once the blurs had stopped I saw Renamon had a few bite marks but what make my eyes go wide was what had attacked my Digimon partner was a small white rabbit.
“ANGEL!” a soft voice behind me shouted, I turned around to a light yellow coated pegasus mare with her pink mane a bit damp, the look she gave the rabbit whom must be this mare’s pet had froze Angel to the spot.
“We do not attack those who need their help.” as the mare said those words her pet couldn’t look at her.
Angel look away from his mistress but he wasn’t ashamed of his actions.
When i look over at my partner Rena is pacing around obviously tense and worried.
“Renamon what's wrong?” I ask worried about her.
“I sense a Digimon near by!” She speaks up.
“Digimon?” “how?” I ask with a confused look.
"I'll explain later for now we need to make sure it doesn't hurt anyone.” She starts to say as she sprinted off.
“Right!” I fly after her hoping to make it in time.
The yellow pony tried to stop them but failed.
We race to where Renamon sensed the digimon. As we make it to where its at we can see a school house in the distance.
“We have to hurry! Rena run ahead and stall the Digimon while I try to save whoever I can!” We split up as per my plan and I see a lavender Unicorn almost get hit by a ball of fire.
“Please be okay!” I pray outloud as I finally made it to the school house. Rena isn't in good shape. She’s panting harshly and her fur is singed in several places.
“G-et back Leon!” Rena gasps out as she hits the ground utterly spent.
‘There has to be a way I can help her but what?’ Leon thought as he searches for anything he can use. That's when he feels a small box at his side.
“What's this?” He opens the box and sees strange cards. “Wait with these maybe!” Having remembered renamon say something about cards he quickly figured out that the digivice has a card reader and slashes a card through his digivice.
[ RECOVER ACTIVATE ] Leon’s digivice said as a blue glow covered the vixen, when it was finished renamon’s fur shines lightly before fading out just as quickly as it came leaving the fox digimon refreshed and cleansed of all her previous battle inquiries.
“Now Rena! Finish it!” Leon told his partner.
She quickly nods and with a cry of “diamond storm” knocks the Digimon out.
As Rena prepares to finish the Digimon off a purple and green small dragon runs in front of it and takes the blow instead.
“Spike no!!!” Twilight runs up to spike and starts to cry.
All of a sudden a red glow is seen and the Digimon stops attacking.
“OK? What just happened? Was that digimon under some kind of spell?” Asked the griffon.
As soon as the glow fades a digivice, red and white appears near Spike along with a purple deck case.
“Looks like Spike you said his name was? Is going to be fine.” Leon says with smile.
“How do you know! And who are you!?” Twilight screams.
“Because if he was dead he and that Digimon couldn't have become partners like me and Rena here.” I point to my partner.
“Rena what kind of Digimon is this one?”
She walks up to the Digimon studying it closely. “I believe it's a Guilmon. But I've only seen pictures so I'm not sure.”
All of a sudden my digivice gives me a reading of the Digimon. “Looks like you're right Rena.”
“Stop ignoring me! Who are you!”
“Sorry about that my name is Leon Stonestorm and this is my partner Renamon.”
“I know you have questions miss but I'll answer them later right now me and Rena could use a place to rest.” All of a sudden our stomachs growled. “And a bite to eat too.
“I guess you two can stay with me as for food, Fluttershy should have some meat you can have.”
“Thanks for your kindness. Now Rena I think you owe me and this drake a explanation?”
Renamon nods “first let's wait till he wakes up. I'll Carry the Guilmon can you handle the drake?” she says picking up said Digimon.
“Allow me.” Twilight using her magic to put spike on her back and we all follow her.
A fair distance away a pink pony with cotton candy like mane starts to twitch. “Time to plan a welcome party for three!” She screamed before running off.

As Leon, Twilight and Renamon walk, Twi starts asking Rena questions. “What's your world like?”
"It's not peaceful. Digimon fight for no reason other than instinct, there is no justice and it's so dark in places. Thankfully my home was one of the better places to live.”
"Don't your rulers try to make things better? And who are your rulers?”
“The Sovereigns are the closest thing to rulers we have but they only interfere when the digital world itself is threatened and even then their interactions are rare .”
"Who made the digivices I believe they're called?”
Right as Twilight was about to ask another question a multi colored blur rammed itself into Rena causing the yellow digimon to stumble backwards with a rather high pitched yelp.
"Who the heck are you!” The blur spoke as it came to a sudden halt showing the rather odd looking form of a rainbow maned pony. The said odd looking pony then continued hovering as it continued its rapid fire questioning despite the still flabbergasted looks it was receiving and the quiet mumbling of a embarrassed yellow digimon who was currently rubbing her posterior. “You look suspicious. I got my eye on you. And who are you mister!?”
"Rainbow dash! They helped us with that monster attack at the schoolyard!” said Twilight slightly irritated at the other mare.
“It wasn't a monster but a mind controlled Digimon.”
"Names Rainbow Dash. I heard about what happened from a friend that was on weather duty near by. That took guts.”
As Rainbow said this Rena starts to tense up. “What's wrong? A second digimon?” Leon asked his partner.
"Yes and it's fairly close. What is around that way?” She asks pointing her paw towards a road.
“That's the main road to town. Wait that means somepony is probably being attacked!” Twilight exclaimed.
“I've got this!” Rena said getting ready to run only to be tackled by Rainbow!
“No let me show you speed!” Rainbow said starting to jab Rena at a rapid pace.
“ENOUGH! Rainbow help us or get out of our way!” Said Leon. “We are going Rena!” Leon takes off as Rena manages to get away from Rainbow and heads to where she sensed the Digimon rainbow close behind Rena still trying to get her.
As we make it we can see a badly wounded griffon is on the ground getting hit by a strange bird.
“Crap that griffin doesn't have long! But I need to stay in case you need a boost! What do I do!?” Leon screams out in frustration. At this moment Rainbow catches up and sees the Griffin.
“No not Gilda! I wanted a chance to try and make things up!”
“Rainbow she's not dead! Hurry and take her to the hospital! We’ll take care of things here!”
She nods and we focus on the Digimon.
“Maybe this card?” Leon slashes a card through his digivice. (Gravity storm) his digivice said as all of a sudden the hawkmon falls to the ground.
“Now! knock it out but don't delete it!”
After that a green light flashes as Rainbow see a strange device and a white deck box on Gilda’s waist.
“that's why. I had a feeling that this Digimon wasn't acting of its own free will.” Leon said with a smirk.
“Well we better head back and check on that griffon.” said Leon worried for the one he just saved.
Rena simply nods as we both head back her holding the Digimon in her paws.
As we make it back we can see a very nervous twilight pacing back and forth. "So did you save that griffon? I saw Rainbow fly past and saw a griffon on her back.”
“we managed to beat the Digimon fairly fast but the griffon is in rough shape. Where is the hospital?” Leon asked worry obvious on his face.
“That way!” She points a hoof and we take off.
As we make it there we ask the nurse at the desk. “the griffon that just came in. Can we see her?”
“Yes but she's in rough shape. She woke up when she got in here but she's weak for now.”
“Can we have her room number? We risked a lot to save her.” Leon asked.
"Sure Rainbow told me about you. Her room is number 25.”
We both thank her and walk to the room she told us.
As she sees us she says gasping “who are you two losers?”
“im Leon and this is Renamon. I'm glad we made it in time! Can I know your name?” Leon gently asks.
“Its Gilda. What was that bird that attacked me?” She wheezed.
“It was a Digimon that was somehow being controlled and forced to attack you. See this device?” I point out the digivice near her bed. “Turns out you're a tamer and that Digimon that attacked you was supposed to be your partner.” Leon says with a huge frown.
“Huh? What do you mean?” She gasped out.
“I'll explain when you have rested.” Leon said. “Can we stick around or should we go?"
“You're not too bad s-o stay for now.” She hacked out.
“So why were you near ponyville? I thought griffon stone was the other way?” Asks Twilight having just walked in.
“ I wanted to head here to try and mend a friendship that I lost here. Funny the one pony I wanted to mend my friendship with is the one that took me to the hospital.” She magnes a short laugh before hacking.
“I think we should leave. Gilda tomorrow you'll get some answers so rest up.” Leon says as he and Rena both leave the hospital.
“Twilight is Spike awake? I know the hit he took was a hard one.” Rena asked her slightly mad for hurting a innocent being.
“Yes he was when I left for here.” Replied Twilight.
“Let's head back to your place then Twilight. If the guilmon is awake Spike is probably going to freak.”
Twilight nods as we all leave to head back to her treehouse. As we get close a loud “AHHHHHHH can be heard.
“Called it!” Said Rena smirking.
“Well we better calm down Spike right Rena,Twilight?” Leon says opening the door.
Spike was huddled in a corner scared out of his mind.
“Twilight why is this thing here?” He ask pointing a claw at the guilmon.
“Allow me to explain Spike. My name is Leon and that is a Digimon, a guilmon that you saved from being killed. He is fine now but more importantly your his tamer.”
“His tamer?” Asked Spike with confusion all over his face.
“I'll explain tomorrow. For now just know that he won't hurt you.”
Spike is still weary but nods.
“Me and my partner here will sleep with him while you two rest.” Leon said and Rena nods in agreement.
As Twilight and Spike head to bed Leon and Rena keep watch over the other Digimon till the three of them fall asleep.

As the sun’s light began to shine through the window Leon began to stir. “Uhg I feel like I flew a hundred miles!” He states as he wakes and sees Spike and guilmon close to each other. Rena is outside keeping watch.
“I guess we better get ready to explain to Gilda and Spike about being a tamer.”
“Yes but first perhaps a bite to eat is in order?” she says as his stomach begins to growl.
He nods and looks around for something big to eat.
“I'll just leave a note.” He grabs a small amount of parchment and let's Twi know that he and Rena took Spike and guilmon out.
“Hey Spike can you and guilmon come with me and Rena? We have a place to go and then we can explain more about being a tamer.”
He nods as he and guilmon start to clean up.
“I'm ready to go. But where are we off to?"
“The hospital. I own a explanation to a griffon I saved. Rena where is the hawkmon?”
“He went to stay with Gilda.” Rena replied.
“Wait you rescued Gilda!?” Spike shockingly asked.
“Well Gilda was under attack by a mind controlled digimon like the one you saved. I take it you've heard of her?” Leon asked the baby dragon.
“Heard of her!? She came to town a while back and caused a lot of problems and was just a plain jerk!” Spike replied remembering what Twilight and her friends told him.
“She didn't seem that mean. Can you try to get along please? The three of us might need to work together after all we don’t know who is mind controlling the Digimon.” Leon told Spike.
"Are you sure it’s mind control?, I mean in Power Ponies Vol.45, Zapps went mad when she enter into another world because the lightning in that world was made out of Chaos magic and maybe the same thing is happening to the Digimon when they enter into our world.” Spike said.“i don't believe that someone from our world would be able to control the Digimon.”
“Maybe but when guilmon was attacking i noticed his eyes glowed a eerie green same with hawkmon.” Commented Renamon.
“Wait green?! But the only pony who magic leaves that is!!!” Spike said shocked.
“Somehow they have Sombra's dark magic in them if what I think is true.” said Spike remembering his time in the crystal empire. “But the crystal heart destroyed him.”
“maybe not and/or maybe he's behind this. Regardless us tamers need to stick together. Are you two fine with this?” Asked Leon putting out a claw.
“Well i'm game.” Said Spike.
“I'll help but none of mushy stuff got it!”
“Clear Gilda!” I said.
As we shake Twilight walks in. “What was so important that Spike had to leave?”
“I needed to explain to him and Gilda about being a tamer and to try and get the three of us and our partners to work together.” said Leon calmy. “Now only if we had a way to know if a Digimon was attacking around Equestria?” Leon mumbled.
“I know! I'll send a message to princess Celestia about this! Spike take a letter.”
Spike pulls out a quill and a piece of parchment, Twilight then starts to write.
“Dear princess Celestia.
As Spike sends it I hear a loud roar and see a big creature that appears to be blue wolf with a white stripe of fur and what appeared to be ribbon for a tail.
“No. Not a attack now!” “Rena, Spike, guilmon, time to go to work!”
“Wait I know where that is!! That's where Applejack lives!” Twilight started to panic.
“Let's go guys!” I grab Spike, Rena and guilmon and begin to run towards the wolf.
When we finally catch up my digivice starts acting up and I get the info on it.
'Gaogamon champion level’ “that's strong we better be ready.”
Spike nods as we get ready to attack.

“So what's the plan?” Asked Renamon, her eyes darting to-and-fro around and between the houses as they passed by around her, checking for anything to use to our advantage against the rogue Digimon.
“You use hit and run tactics while guilmon keeps the attention of the digimon. Don't be afraid to ask for a boost if you need it.” I planned with determination to stop the digimon as we start the attack.
“Spike, keep an eye on your partner, okay.”
Spike nods up at Renamon as she starts the attack. She kneels to the ground before jumping high into the air while tucking her arms in near her chest.
“Diamond Storm!” she roared, spreading her arms out away from her body, causing bright flashes of white crystals to form in a line from her belly to her chest.
The pellucid diamond shaped projectiles quickly departed towards the ground before flickering towards the digimon in rapid succession.
As Renamon falls to the ground, she was taken by surprise as the champion level digimon shouts out the words: “Spiral Blow” while a large vortex of condensed air shoots from its mouth at high speed, just as most of the diamonds were about to make contact. The stronger champions attack easily manages to cancel a large portion of the incoming offence while only taking very minimal damage from a few stray diamonds. The Gaogamon only growls in annoyance, afterwards as it turns towards Renamon, its much larger frame facing the still free falling Renamon aiming to try and swipe at her with its claws.
“Pyro Sphere” A sudden voice calls out as Guilmon fires a small ball of energy towards the Gaogamon claws. The champion level Digimon hand collides with Guilmon’s ‘Pyro Sphere’ causing a large plume of smoke rise into the air around the digimon.
“Our attacks are barely dealing any damage!” I said with irritation, “Wait,” I remembered my modify cards, a few that could help coming to mind “I have an idea. Spike, follow my lead!” I pull out a card from my deck box, Spike mirrors me.
‘Power Active’ spoke both Spike’s and my digivices in their general monotonous voices as our partners were enveloped by a red glow, the stream of light and colors swirled around their bodies for a time before our partner's attacks began dealing higher damage, but the champion Digimon is still standing strong.
“We can't let this digimon win!” I stated.
My team keeps at it, but they start to tire after their endless assault on the digimon. As guilmon goes for another attack, the gaogamon shouts: “Spiral Blow!” and knocks guilmon right into Spike.
“Spike! You okay?” I rush over to Spike, being weary of the Digimon who knocked the small baby dragon to the ground.
“I'll be fine. Just sore right now is all.” Spike groaned.
“We can't keep this up, we need a trump card! But what?” I look through my cards until my eyes come across the title of a seemingly bright card in my deck.
“Metalgarurumon blaster?” I was slightly puzzled at the unnecessarily long name which was engraved into the card, “Worth a shot!” I slash the card through the my digivice hoping this card could change the tides in our battle.
All of a sudden renamon sucks in a deep breath and with a cry of “metal blaster” fires a cold stream of frozen air towards the gaogamon.
“Did that do it?” Spike asked, worried.
All of a sudden the Digimon gets up but it finally looks as if it took some damage as it takes in seemingly long winded breaths.
“No way! That was way more powerful than Renamon’s diamond storm but it’s just not enough!” I exclaim worried for my partner. “There has to be a card I can use to end this! But which one?” I mutter as I frantically begin scanning through my limited cards.
“Uh Leon how about this one?” Spike shows me a card with what looks like a average sized dragon wearing gold armor firing a beam of light out of its chest.
“Go for it spike!”
Spike swipes the card through his digivice and all of a sudden with a cry of “magna blast” guilmon fires a beam of light at the gaogamon.
“Almost there! Renamon are you still good to go?” I asked looking over at my partners hunched over state, she seemed worn down by using such a powerful attack right off the bat.. I’d have to be more cautious before using that card again.
“ I'm exhausted leon! I’m going to need a recharge!”
I only nod before slashing the same power chip card I used back at the schoolhouse less than a few hours ago. I then watch with bated breath as her fur glows a bright blue for a brief moment before I can see her weariness vanish and her muscles tense as she prepair’s to return to the fray of battle.
“Man I wish Gilda and Hawkmon where here!” I stated in deep frustration at how much possible damage this darn champion could take.
“Did someone call for a flying miracle!” Said Gilda out of nowhere as she suddenly glides up to where we are.
“Are you sure you're up for this! Plus where's hawkmon?” I asked her not seeing him.
“He’s already over there.” she deadpans while she points with one of her wings towards the wild digimon. I can only look over to where she was pointing only to see hawkmon trying to peck at the gaogamon.
Muttering a quick apology to my friend along with a quick blush I hoped she didn’t see I briefly shake my head before yelling “Follow my lead, grab a card and slash it through you digivice!”
I pull out a speed card while Gilda pulls out a card with a picture of a giant crab with a huge shell.
(Speed active.) My digivice spoke as renamon’s movement and reaction time begin to change, her yellow and white forme beginning to blur into a single streak of colorful force.
While that happens hawkmon all of a sudden cry’s of the word “hydro blaster” while he forcefully spews a high pressured jet of water out from his mouth and right into the Gaogamon, said Digimon could then be seen hurtling towards a nearby building with only a high pitched yelp leaving its mouth before slamming into the building and bursting into data particle’s.
“Huf huf. Good job everypony.” I said the stress of what just happened getting to me. “Spike you okay?”
“Yea just a little sore is all.” Replied the baby dragon.
All of a sudden I can feel a tingling in my talon as card appeared. “Huh, what's this? Gaogamon spiral blow ? Sounds like something to have a bit of fun with later.” I put slide the card in with the pouch the rest of my cards were in as we walk back to the treehouse to tell Twilight we won.
“Twilight we managed to win but it was far closer than I like to cut it. Luckily Gilda came when she did or thing might have not worked out so...nice. Can you also let Celestia know of this attack?” I asked as we walked into her house.
“Spike take a letter!” She said as he grabs a piece of parchment and a quill.
“(Dear princess Celestia There was a new monster attack in town today but don't worry. Those tamers I told you about in my last letter managed to stop its rampage. Nopony was hurt but there is minor property damage.

As Spike quickly sends the letter through dragon fire we surprisingly don’t have to wait very long before spike is burping out a scroll with a golden seal imprinted on it.
(“Dear Twilight thank you for letting me know. I'm glad no one got seriously hurt during this attack. I would like to invite you and your friends along with these tamers up to the castle so we can discuss what needs to be done.

“So I guess we’re headed up to the train station then guys?” I said after having heard Twilight read her response.
With everypony in quick agreement we all get ourselves on board the first train headed up towards canterlot to begin the long 2 hour long trip.
(Canterlot)
“Hey Twilight I've never been to canterlot before. Can you guide me around a little please?” Leon asked overwhelmed by how big the city is.
“Sure. The castle is this way follow me.” Twilight smiles as she waves a hoof for us to follow her. With all the strange looks we we’re getting it was probably best we not mess around and start a frantic screaming match with the fancy looking poneys up here.
It's not to long before we all end up at the castle's main gates where a pair of guards stand by. The pair of guards cause Renamon to feel on edge and cause me to begin freaking out a lilite, maybe that yelling match was more of a staring match judging by the looks of concentration on the guards faces...that or gas.
“Halt! State your business.” one guard said.
“We have an audience with the princesses. We came to talk about the new threat.” Twilight told the guards.
“what could you do?” Asked the other guard.
“You don't want to know!” Leon said as the group headed inside the castle.
It's not long after before we see the princesses we’ve come to see.
“Twilight I'm glad you and your friends could come. And who is this?” Celestia asked looking right at me and renamon.
“ my name is Leon Stonestorm and this is my friend and partner Renamon.” I say as I bow out of respect, renamon contemplating a moment longer than I before doing the same.
“Rise young griffon, there is no need for you to bow. Now tell me how did you defeat that monster?”
“They aren't monsters Princess they are called Digimon. And me and renamon along with Spike here and his partner fought it off.” Leon stated rising.
“Digimon? What do you know of these “Digimon?” She asked in confusion.
“Well Digimon are as just as intelligent as you or me. They are from a parallel world known as the digital world but unlike ours their world isn't such a pretty place. Please don’t get it wrong, not all of them are bad, heck some of them can be really nice like Renamon here. But something is happening to send the Digimon through the connection that was formed when my now late father made a prototype device called a “computer” and bridged the gap. I'm sorry but that's all we know for right now.” Leon said “that and the one we just fought wasn't the same as the last two that me and renamon fought. This one was wild, ruthless while the other two were forced through what we believe is dark magic to attack.”
“Dark magic! Are you sure?!”
“Not positive but the two that just me and renamon fought had eerie green glows around their eyes.”
“Green! That color can only be caused by Sombra! But how? I thought he was destroyed?!”
“No clue but me and the rest of the tamers need to be ready! Say you wouldn't happen to have seen cards that look like these before?” I show her the back of a card out of my case.
“I haven't but Luna has a few she found. Why?”
“If she finds anymore have her send them our way. They'd be a huge help.”
Luna looks confused but nods. “Dear sister anything to add?”
“What purpose doth the cards serve thee if thou would explain it” said Luna
“They can be used for a lot of things if you are a tamer. Care for a small demonstration?” I ask.
“ I would liketh thee to give this demonstration but maketh nay mistaketh if anypony is harmed we willst not be happy” said Luna
“Don't worry about that princess Luna! I have just the one for the job! Digi modify! Amor active”. Renamon's left arm begins shimmering before the small particles of data that made up her large 3 digit paw begin to change shape and take the form of a chrome gauntlet causing Renamon to smirk at the lunar princess and her sisters more than surprised looks.
Letting out a breath she forgot she had been holding the lunar princess spoke if a bit more hesitantly than before. “Th..Thy cards art indeed..quite interesting but can they be used for more than protection?
“Yes they can but do you have a space with REALLY strong shields? Some of these cards are a little stronger than you might think.” As I mention this to the princess I can’t help but notice renamon and guilmon starting to act rather weird. Simply watching them I could almost feel a solid led ball dropping into the pit of my stomach.
“Uh renamon? Don’t tell me it’s a digimon again?” I ask her.
Sadly Renamon only gives me a flat stare, no rest for the weary I suppose . “Yes but it's just at the edge of my perception.”
“Well I guess it looks like the demo might have to go live! Gilda, Spike we have a few new Digimon to fight!” Leon stated. “Celestia, Luna leave this to us.”
“Prithee sister I wish to see how thine tamers handle this” Luna pleads to her older sister.
“Alright Luna but at least take your armor and weapon. Just in case.” Celestia gently says back while moving next to Luna before nuzzling her gently on the cheek “You know I will always worry about you little sister.” .
Luna while gently nuzzling back only speaks in Celestia’s ear as it gently flicks, “So do I dearest sister and thank thee. ” Moving away from Celestia Luna turns to the young tamer and calmly says “give me but a minute to gather my gear and we shall be off”
“Alright but make it fast! In about five minutes we need to go!” Renamon said feeling the digimon getting closer.
“Of course I shalt be back soon ”state’s Luna as she teleports off to acquire her gear only to return moments later fully dressed in a rather terrifying set of dark blue armor, her horse shoes exchanged for full length plate armor with black fabric underlying it. Her obsidian crown had also been exchanged for a partial helm that only seemed to protect the front portion of her long horn. A large scythe also now lay strapped to her back, a central jewel in the blades steel center glowing a bright red.
“That was quick…” I mumble to myself in partial surprise before shaking my head. “Are we ready?” I say looking over at Luna as she nods.. “Then let's go!” I yell out as me, Gilda and hawkmon prep to fly.
Luna must have heard my mumbling because the look she gives me is almost smug.“We art what thee say..always prepared.
Shaking my head at the princesses hearing I can only nod back before we take off to begin following renamon and guilmon as they begin leading us to the new Digimon.
The flight takes a number of minutes but the destruction we see as we draw closer to the digimons location becomes clear as some of the district's building begin to show signs of scorch marks and collateral damage.
As we draw closer we can only stare at huge orange dinosaur with a brown skull helmet on its head. My digivice goes off moments later as some of the digimon’s data begins to appear . “Greymon champion level Special attacks include Nova Blast and great horn attack ). Ok guys let's do this!” I say as renamon starts off the attack. Launching a quick diamond storm from the ground her attack grazing the large dragon digimon but it doesn't do much besides upsetting it even farther.
“Okay no more mister nice gryphon!” I yell out. “Digi modify metalgarurumon blaster active!” I slash said card through my digivice. Renamon sucks in a deep breath and with a cry of “metal blaster!” Fires a super cold stream of air at the greymon.
“We shalt not let thee get near our city and citizens crazed beast!” Yells out Luna as she swings her scythe at the greymon and launches multiple magical blades from the weapon at the large dragon.
The attack lands and it seems to do some light damage causing the digimon to flinch but the beast is easily able to handle it without much trouble.
“If its fire based then...maybe... Digi modify hydro vortex active!” Gilda slashes the card as hawkmon let's loose a stream of water out from his mouth. The Digimon takes it and with a cry of “Nova blast!” as jet like flames fly from it mouth easily disintegrating the incoming water before heading right towards the prone hawkmon.
“Nay” Luna yells and teleports in front of hawkmon while throwing up a shield in front of them.
The shield holds as the attack lands but cracks begin to split its surface all the while pushing them back multiple meters….the fire attack even managing to cause the air around the shield to waver and distort.
Luna drops the shield not a second later but she could be seen panting as if it exhausted a large portion of her magic.
“Luna! Get back!” I yell out while race over to her all the while praying she's okay.
“I'm fine just tired, that took a lot more out of me then I thought it would.” Luna replies still panting heavily.
“Uh guys! We have another one!” Renamon manages to say while dodging.
My digivice tells me that it's a lunamon. “Luna you have to get out of here! You can't handle two even if one is only a rookie in your current condition!”
“I can't just runneth while mine own citizens art in danger” Luna replies
As she says this a soft blue and black light starts to flow around Luna. “Wait is this!” I say remembering how Gilda and Spike got their digivices.
“This device...is it one like the kind you are using” Luna asked looking at it confused.
“Yes! Looks like that lunamon is your partner.” I say confused myself. “Did you bring those cards you found?”
“Aye but what one should I useth?” Luna asked.
“Let me see them.” I take a look and my eyes spot one. “Omnimon supreme cannon? Try this one.”
“Alright.” Luna says as she takes the card and slashes it through the digivice with a almost practiced flick of her magic. Hearing it speak “Omnimon supreme cannon active”.
All of a sudden the new Digimon left hand turned into a small cannon and fires a powerful shot that almost defin my ears. As the shot fades the greymon could be seen sprawled out upon the ground struggling to get up its torso now having heavy scorch marks upon it..
“One more push everypony! Now Spike use that card!” I say wanting for this nightmare to end fast.
Spike nods pulling out the card and slashes it. “Managmon manga blast active.” his digivice said as guilmon fires a beam of light at the greymon before it blows into particles.
“That was tiring but fun. I wouldn't mind doing something like this again it was quite invigorating” Luna says still slightly winded as a glow begins to form in front of her contorting into the shape of a card.
“What is this”? Luna asked looking over at Leon.
“When you beat a Digimon a card of one of its moves is forged. That's a Greymon nova blast card.”
“Interesting so this means I can now useth this move shouldst I desire as such.” Luna asked.
“Yes that card is yours. Oh and here you should talk to your new partner to.” I point out a small white bunny with a weird chest piece that looks like a crescent moon.
“Oh of course” Luna says flying down to the digimon. “Hello there my friend, I thanketh thee for your help in our battle”
The strange bunny digimon only looks at her with a rather odd look on its face. “Your accent is kinda funny” The remark causes Luna to sputter as a red blush makes its way to her cheeks. “Tis not comical welp, tis the royal we!” Shaking her head a moment later before pawing at the ground embarrassingly Luna can feel her bottom lip tremble..
“I’m sorry for the funny remark.” Maybe you could show me a little some time?” The lunamon speaks in a feminine tone lowly as a frown makes its way to its face, “but I’ve never heard anyone talk like that before...b..but don’t get it wrong I think it’s kind of cool in its own wa...”
No longer listening to what the digimon is saying Luna only looks at the digimon worriedly before looking down as the feeling of something similar to a lead ball moving down into her stomach takes place. “I...thee...M..maybe this wasn’t such a good idea after all, maybe I should have just stayed back at the palace with my sister. Maybe…
A sudden pat on her plated shoulder grabs her attention before a sudden weight lands on her back followed by a soft voice speaks out again. “What art th…” A sudden hug cuts her off causing her eyes to grow larger. “Maybe you should stop being so mopey so you could show me a little how to talk like that some time? Its really cool and I like cool!”
Everyone else looks at the little scene with smiles, even more so as princess Luna hugs back with a light smile on her face, maybe this was the start of a beautiful friendship after all.
After a few moments of hugging the lunar princess and the little bunny speaks again, her voice a bit more somber, “It was no problem. I was looking around when I saw this greymon and just had to help you.” The lunamon said.
“Your help is greatly appreciated my new friend. Wouldst thee care to come with us backeth to the castle so we can get to know each other better”? Luna asked.
“Sure I'll head back with you. I'm not welcome in my home anyway.” The digimon said with a frown.
“Then cometh 'long mine own new cousin. Thee may stayeth with me as longeth as thee wisheth” Luna stated with a thicker accent than normal now happy to have made a new friend to keep her company.
“Thank you! Do you like the moon? I love the moon!” Lunamon exclaimed.
“I simply adore the moon. In fact it's my own duty to raiseth and lower it each and every night for mine own subjects.” Luna said.
“Really! That's amazing!” Lunamon exclaimed.
“I'm delighted thou bethink so. Cometh along and tonight if you wish thou can watch me perform thee duty.” Luna exclaimed with glee.
“Cometh my friends let us return to mine sister so we can tell her wast hath happened.” Luna says taking to the air.
We quickly return and me and Gilda fall down in the room we landed in. “Oops missed breakfast.” I say.
“Art thou alright”? Luna asked as she lands next to them.
“We are just hungry is all. Right Gilda?” I said.
“Ya we had to skip breakfast to stop the attack this morning.” Gilda says slightly tense.
“Then cometh follow us and we shalt have the cooks prepareth a meal for thee and the others while I gather mine sister and have some rooms prepared so thou can rest after that fight.” Luna says.
“Thanks so much! Hey is there any way we can contact you in case we need your help?” I asked tummy rumbling.
“Ahh. I know.”Luna says as she summons a dark blue quill and makes it glow slightly in her magic before handing it to Leon. “ I've enchanted this quill so that anything you write with it is sent directly to me, so you can use this to contact me if you need my help for anything.” Luna said.
“Alright that solves that! But do you have meat here? We can't eat pony food.” I asked my tummy at a near roar at this point.
“Aye. We occasionally have meat eating dignitaries so it shouldn't be that hard to findeth some for you.” Luna says with a laugh after hearing my tummy roar. “Followeth me and I shalt taketh thee to the dining hall”
We both manage to walk behind her but we are a tiny bit dizzy.
“Not too far now it's just around the corner”Luna says before turning and opening a large door on our right.
As we walk in we see all kinds of meat as if it covered all the table. Our mouths start to drool at all the meat.
“Sitteth down and enjoy yourselves my friends, I shalt returneth shortly with mine sister but until then consume to your hearts content.” Luna says before turning and leaving the room to find Celestia.
At a speed that rainbow would jealous of we grab a plate and grab a mountain of meat. “This is so good! Just like-father would have made.” While still eating I start to tear up.
“What's with the mushy eyes?” Gilda asked as she eats.
“Before this all started my father died after bandits attacked my hometown of stepping stone.”
“No, that's so sad.” Gilda admitted as she eats the last of her food.
As we finish I see both Luna and Celestia along with lunamon walk in.
“We art backeth mine friends I hope thee enjo- what is wrong Leon is something the matter” Luna asked looking at him worriedly
“Its nothing Luna. Just a bad memory from before this started.” Leon said. “These steaks remained me of my murdered father is all.”
“I'm sorry to heareth that Leon just remember that I'm always here if you needeth someone to talketh to.”Luna said still looking sad.
“Don't be sad Luna! It wasn't you who killed him. Thank you though.” I walk over to Luna and hug her. “It means so much to me to hear that.”
“Even if it wasn't mine fault it doesn't mean I won't be sad when I heareth a friend is hurting.”Luna said while hugging him back.
“But enough of the past. Luna did you tell her everything that happened?” I ask going back to my seat.
“Aye and we agreed that shouldeth we hear word of any attacks by these digimon we will aloweth thee to know, we shalt also be doing a searcheth to see what we can findeth out about this mind control thou say some were under to see if it is Sombra or some other evil.”Luna says.
“Thank you! But a warning. If you ever fight a Digimon named Coramon don't delete it. Call it a hunch but I have a feeling you shouldn't kill that one.” Leon said.
“Alright we shalt remember that but for noweth your rooms has’t been prepared so that thee may rest.”Luna said before looking over at a guard that was nearby.”guard take our friends to their Chambers so they may rest. Luna said.
