Twilight Sparkle was in her room while looking out the window to see that it was a clear sunny day outside, she didn't know what to think of the weather, she knew that it was summer and that she should be outside with her friends but she stayed inside anyway as she was to bored and she didn't have anything else to.
As she sat inside someone knocked on her door, she wondered if it was one of her friends that came to get her outside, she answered her door and saw Rarity, Rarity looked into her house, Twilight allowed her in.
"Why is it so gloomy in here? I'm not Pinkie Pie but the energy here is a drag, what's wrong?" Rarity asked as she frowned at the dark place, Twilight rolled her eyes and closed her door.
"Eh, I just thought that I could save power and just sit while sitting in the living room but that's getting boring." Twilight said shrugging at her friend, Rarity shook her head at Twilight's behavior.
"But it's nice out, there's not a cloud in sight! Why don't you go outside?" Rarity asked, Twilight sighed.
"There's no reason to do anything, I'm bored and the house has been like this since morning!" Twilight complained with a frown, Rarity thought about what to do and got a great idea.
"I know how we can liven this place up!" Rarity said as she grinned, Twilight tried to ignore her as she got out some paperwork.
"How about no, I got some paperwork todo!" Twilight said, Rarity grinned and called someone, Twilight groaned as she tried to sort her paperwork, a few minutes later Pinkie Pie arrived and Twilight face palmed.
"Hey girls! Wow this place is a drab I know what we can do..." Pinkie Pie exclaimed, Twilight gave her a knowing look.
"Pinkie Pie there is no time to throw a party! I have to get this work done!" Twilight exclaimed although Twilight secretly did want to have fun, it was to late to convince Pinkie Pie though as she already called one of her friends, Rainbow Dash showed up and Twilight shook her head at her friends.
"Hey egghead! Wow Pinkie Pie is right it really is gloomy here we definitely need to throw a party!" Rainbow Dash stated, Twilight tried to turn back to her work.
"There's no time for that, now I have to get this work done so that I'm on top of schedule!" Twilight stated, Rainbow Dash walked up to her.
"You mean work for eggheads? Cmon Twilight lighten up a bit, your burning daylight in here! It's not healthy to stay cooped up in your library egghead." Rainbow Dash joked.
"No I have work, Celestia expects me to get this done, besides don't you have to work at Sugarcube Corner Pinkie Pie?" Twilight argued back, Pinkie Pie shook her head no as she grinned.
"Figures!" Twilight exclaimed while rolling her eyes as she found out that Pinkie Pie has the day off today, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie jokingly pushed eachother as they went outside as Twilight watched them she tried to get back to what she was doing but she was to distracted now.
As she looked at them again Rainbow Dash was bringing out a grill she sat it down and put some coals on it and then lit it. Twilight smiled and rolled her eyes as she spoke to them again.
"There's no special occasion to be cooking outside, plus it's hot out!" Twilight exclaimed walking up to them.
"Yes there is, there's birthdays and summer and fireworks!" Rainbow Dash joked as she set the grill down.
"Smartass." Twilight muttered which caused Rainbow Dash to fall over laughing, Pinkie Pie giggled at Twilight as well, Rainbow Dash was clutching her stomach with laughter and tears of laughter were falling down her face, she wiped them away, Twilight tried to not to laugh but she let a giggle escape her when she talked
"Rainbow this isn't funny!" Twilight said as she giggled.
"Then why did you just laugh?" Rainbow Dash's stated before laughing again, Twilight just gave up and decided that hanging out with her friends that day seemed like a nice idea as she wasn't doing anything that important, Rainbow Dash got up and still giggled as Pinkie Pie brought out a cooler.
Twilight smiled a bit as Rainbow Dash put on some burgers as Pinkie Pie handed Rainbow Dash a beer, Twilight raised an eyebrow.
"Oh great your going to get drunk now." Twilight stated, Rainbow Dash drank some and wiped her mouth and then spoke.
"That is what people do at parties, come on Twilight were all twenty one! But if you feel uncomfortable the kiddy table will be set up just for you!" Rainbow Dash joked.
"Oh haha!" Twilight said in slight annoyance at being teased, Rainbow Dash giggled as Pinkie Pie cooked for them. Rainbow Dash went to grab a lawn chair and brought it over and then sat down.
"Come sit down by me! I won't try and kiss you if your worried about that, I'm not drunk yet...." Rainbow Dash joked, Twilight blushed as Pinkie Pie elicited a giggle from her lips.
"Please don't get any ideas!" Twilight exclaimed while smiling, Rainbow Dash winked at her as she enjoyed her drink. Twilight watched Pinkie Pie cook as she enjoyed the outside, She admitted to herself that she was having fun. She did notice that it was to warm out to be inside.
"It is warm out here!" Twilight said as she felt a cool breeze which she enjoyed, Rainbow Dash tried to stop herself but made another remark.
"Don't worry if it gets to hot you can always get naked we won't tell anybody." Rainbow Dash joked making Pinkie Pie laugh, Twilight looked at Rainbow Dash and then smirked and then started to take her shirt off.
"No don't do that it was a joke!" Rainbow Dash said as she laughed, Twilight giggled and stopped, while Pinkie Pie spoke.
"This just proves that Rainbow Dash wants to see other girls naked." Pinkie Pie joked, Twilight sprayed her drink out of her mouth and then laughed hysterically. Rainbow Dash's face was as red as a tomato, Rainbow Dash responded.
"I'm not gay!" She exclaimed, Twilight and Pinkie Pie burst out in laughter, Twilight and Pinkie Pie laughed for a few minutes and then Twilight looked at Rainbow Dash.
"I'm bisexual." Twilight said sincerely making Pinkie Pie giggle, Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes.
"Well good for you Twilight." Rainbow Dash said which made Twilight laugh, Both Twilight and Pinkie Pie calmed down and Twilight sighed as she reclined back and took another sip of her beer as Pinkie Pie cooked for them.
"You know girls have you ever noticed that we don't do this a lot during the summer? We should do it a lot more. I was exasperated at first but now I'm glad you two came over here!" Twilight said. Rainbow Dash nodded in agreement and smiled.
"I'm glad your having fun that's what we wanted to happen." She said as Pinkie Pie smiled while she cooked. Twilight smiled at her two best friends as she admitted that she was having more fun than she was a few hours ago when she was bored. Being out here with her friends was a lot better.
"Have you been doing any new projects lately Twilight?" Pinkie Pie asked her, Twilight shook her head no and responded.
"Nah not really I've just been rereading my favorite classical Equestria literature collection-" Twilight started to say until Rainbow Dash made a remark.
"Which you have already read." Rainbow Dash jokingly said, Twilight glared playfully at her which made Rainbow Dash giggle.
"You can read the same books numerous times you know." Twilight bit back playfully, Rainbow Dash nodded as she took another sip of her drink.
"I know, you read books so you can be an even bigger egghead, egghead." Rainbow Dash joked, Twilight mocked her silently which made Rainbow Dash giggle. Pinkie Pie giggled as she continued to cook the food. Twilight smirked.
"Don't burn them now!" Twilight teased, Pinkie pie giggled.
"Knowing her she would burn them." Rainbow Dash joked.
"I don't burn food!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, making Rainbow Dash and Twilight laugh, Pinkie Pie just shook her head as she continued to cook.
"Well at least it isn't raining, I wouldn't want it to rain and ruin this." Twilight said.
"Don't jinx it Twilight!" Rainbow Dash joked. Twilight shrugged.
"It's not going to rain, there is not such thing as jinxing that is completely unscientific to even guess about because that just wouldn't happen." Twilight said.
"Yeah I guess your right....egghead." Rainbow Dash said.
"I heard that!" Twilight said grinning, Pinkie Pie giggled and she set ketchup out.
"Hurry up Pinkie Pie I'm starving, your more slower than Fluttershy when you cook." Rainbow Dash joked.
"Well let's see you try and cook then!" Pinkie Pie remarked making Twilight snicker, the food was almost done.
"Mmm! I can't wait to eat those hotdogs!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed, Rainbow Dash snickered hysterically and tried to stop so she could speak.
"She loves to stick those big juicy hot dogs into her mouth." Rainbow Dash joked which made Pinkie Pie burst out with hysterical laughter again Twilight laughed and spoke.
"That sounds so sexy Rainbow Dash." Twilight joked, Rainbow Dash giggled and Pinkie Pie calmed down.
"I know." Rainbow Dash joked.
"That does smell good though, I can't wait." Twilight said and smiled, Pinkie Pie nodded and soon the hot dogs and burgers were ready, so Pinkie Pie finished setting the table and Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie each got some food and extra drinks and then before they ate Twilight spoke.
"Thanks again for doing this girls! We need to do this again." Twilight said, they both smiled.
"Your welcome Twilight, you read my mind." Pinkie Pie said.
"Sure Twilight, sounds good to me!" Rainbow Dash said. They ate their meals which they greatly enjoyed, a few minutes later spoke.
"So anyway I was thinking about taking a trip to the Crystal Empire." Twilight said.
"Is Cadence still there?" Rainbow Dash asked, Twilight nodded and Rainbow Dash nodded as well.
"Yeah she's uh, doing some projects to help the people out there, fixing the water system and all that jazz." Twilight said, Rainbow Dash nodded.
"Your going to take a trip Twilight?" Pinkie Pie asked, Twilight nodded to confirm Pinkie Pie's question.
"Yes but I will only be gone for a few days so don't worry about me." She told her. Pinkie Pie nodded as they all ate their food.
"This tastes excellent we need for you to cook for us again when we do this, your a great baker and server!" Twilight complimented.
"Thanks Twilight, I'm alright at it, I'm not the best but I do good." She told her, Twilight nodded.
"How's Maud doing?" Twilight asked, Pinkie Pie took another drink from her beer and spoke.
"Fine, my family is doing good as well, they send me letters I send back letters so it works out even if it's a long distance thing...it works out." Pinkie Pie said.
"Well that's good to hear." Twilight told Pinkie Pie as they continued to eat.
"Anything all six of us should do this week? It's not like I have anything planned." Twilight said.
"We can take a trip to Rainbow Falls." Rainbow Dash said, Twilight waved it off but Rainbow Dash nodded.
"No I think you need it, your looking a bit strung out yourself, you need some relaxation time you know?" Rainbow Dash asked. Twilight thought about it and spoke.
"That does seem like a very good proposal, we could do that, I'll think about it, we can't do it this month but maybe next month." Twilight said.
"Good Rainbow Dash nodded as she finished her meal and her drink.
"Damn you finished that already?" Pinkie Pie asked. Rainbow Dash nodded and Twilight finished as well, it took Pinkie Pie a few more minutes to finish her meal and then she finished hers and then all three of them cleaned up and sat outside for a few minutes.
"Well that was fun, let's do it again." Rainbow Dash suggested.
"Yeah this was fun! You were right to do this for me so thank you and I will take your advice on taking it easy as you are right." Twilight said, Rainbow Dash smirked.
"Your welcome Twilight, You see? The Dashster is always correct." Rainbow Dash smirked.
"The Dashster? Oh brother!" Twilight exclaimed. Soon they all went inside and Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash got ready to leave.
"See you two later it was a lot of fun!" Twilight said. They both smiled.
"Your welcome Twilight, Remember to take it easy!" Pinkie Pie said.
"I will. Goodbye girls!" Twilight said.
"Goodbye!" Rainbow Dash said as she left.
"Bye Twilight!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed as she left as well, Twilight smiled as she watched them leave as she was greatful for her two friends for having a barbecue with her, she took their advice and relaxed the rest of the day with a smile on her face.
