Gal Van Ink. Episode.1. : Where's The Plot?
One Of These, Are Not Like The Others.
Load Full StoryThe moon was shrouded in dark clouds, a cold chill wind blew across the small neighborhood, howling eerily much like a dying beast on its final breath.
Rainbow Dash was throwing a special slumber party tonight, the whole gang was invited for pizza, gossip, sweets and of course a horror movie. Yet due to life only two of her friends could make it, the others writing a raincheck for another time.
“Ever hear of Gal Van Ink?” Rainbow Dash giggled aloud wickedly, holding a dvd case written in crude smeared ink of the character.
“Ink a what?” AJ sighed softly rolling her eyes, sat atop the sofa relaxing in her soft white apple brand pjs.
“Oh dear. Isn’t that a haunted tape?” Fluttershy whimpered in fear, sitting on the floor near AJ’s feet and slowly curling up in a small ball.
“Yeah! Part of a series of haunted tapes! Ooooooo!” Rainbow made a few eerie sounds towards poor Fluttershy, who seemed on the verge of tears.
“Dash!” AJ glared towards her, motioning her to cool it down.
“Phst. They’re not haunted, but it is an Underground Cartoon. Like nobody knows who made the series or where it came from.” Dash swayed her hips side to side, walking to her tangled mess of wires, near the Blue Ray player.
“Yet you found an episode?” AJ raised a brow sarcastically.
“Well yeah. I searched E-Pay, Amazonian and even Meg’s List. Nobody had a copy but then…” Dash untangled a few wires plugging them in.
“Oh boy! There’s a then.” AJ sighed in defeat.
“I got a private email. Some guy on Meg’s had a copy and said he’d be willing to part with it for a price.” Dash smirked and pressed power, the tv turning a dark blue on screen.
“How much did you pay?” Fluttershy asked sweetly.
“Not a cent, he wanted just a few poses.” Dash smirked showing off her best duck face, bending over sexily as she gave her backside a soft spank.
Fluttershy blushed a dark red as she quickly hid her face behind her hands, AJ glaring to Dash in anger, eyes burning like fiery embers. The rainbow haired girl bursting out into giggles, popping in the dvd and taking her seat beside Fluttershy.
“Awww! Chill out I paid like $150 for this thing.” Dash smiled and gave her friend a soft hug tightly.
“Hmmm.” Fluttershy just sighed and nodded along.
“I say you wasted yer money.” AJ yawned and grabbed a cold slice of pizza, from a open box on the floor taking a small bite.
“And I say you are a Party Pooper.” Dash blew a raspberry, up to the southern blonde playfully.
Each girl gazing to the television, the room growing dark as the movie came on. Standing on screen was a devilishly drawn girl, wearing a torn black skirt and tattered top.
She seemed to be dripping with fresh ink, the black substance oozing down her slender and abused body. AJ could make out cuts and bruises down her midriff and arms, the ink trailing down her legs, pooling on the floor much like blood.
Hello friend!
Meeting you has me tickled pink.
My name is Gal Van Ink!
Tonight we have a story, about a small farm animal in lots of worry!
She needs our help slick, so follow me and make sure to be quick.
When the sky is a bright hue and the sun is shining true, sitting yonder on the hill is an Apple Horse feeling blue.
She is a copper mare, with vibrant green eyes and a golden mane that which ends in ties. Red ribbons on the tail, this mare is anything but frail.
Ask the poor pony to buck you a tree, watch as it crashes down to the world, her strength you will indeed see. Though she might not do so right now, as you can see she is low as a mud ridden sow.
Ears pinned back and eyes on the ground, no smile on her muzzle only a sad, sad frown. Though the sky is sunny and warm, she only feels pain as it comes in a swarm.
What is wrong little Apple Horse?
Anything we can do, perhaps to change this course?
What’s that?
You wish to find a sunny hill to plant a new pine?
Well hay in a bale!
We can help you out just fine!
I can see that tail of your’s swish, follow me and I’ll help you grant this wish. Over the hills and through the trees, come on Apple Horse follow us to the barn please.
As you can see on the side of the barn, it is sunny and bright, perfect place to spin a yarn. Plant your pine here and share some smiles, as ponies wanting to visit won’t have to walk for miles.
What is that?
You want somewhere more private?
Well that’s a riot!
But to each pony there own, so a secluded area I guess can be shown. Let’s cut through the field and over the pond, as you can see among the Dark Forest, one can grow fond.
Hmmm.
Apple Horse you look sad?
Wait I see your brow furrowing, does that mean you are mad?
Oh dear!
The Forest is too dark you fear?
Wild animals can find your pine, dig it up and devour it all over time.
Well I guess this place is just a bit lonely.
Now to find a perfect planting spot.
If only.
If only…
That is it!
Come Apple Horse, through the orchard we shall zip! Now you better keep up, I’d hate to break out the whip. Right here among all the apple trees, plant your pine and let it enjoy the cool breeze.
It would be a bit cramped that is for sure, but after done planting, you can curl up under a tree and enjoy a well earned snore.
What!?
There are too many trees?
Just another after another?
You are feeling that maybe, you are just about to be smothered?
I must say Apple Horse, you drive a hard deal.
But I have just the place, this time for real.
Why are you giving me that sigh, you think my ideas are just as bad, as a month old pie?
I must admit, I agree.
But take help when given, be thankful it’s free.
Now pick up that flank, let’s just gallop over past the pond and bank.
Beyond the barn and away from the farm, well head up that small hill, away from all harm.
It overlooks the land and goes on for miles, every morning the sun basks this hill with a smile. It is open and very clean, no animals in sight to be mean. There are no crowds or any trees, just a simple lovely brisk summer breeze.
I can see you look interested with this hill, good at long last, now we can swallow this bitter pill. Time to go back to the barn and grab the two pines, plant them on the hill and all will be fine.
All will be fine.
All will be fine…
Two pine coffins pulled on carriage back.
The sky above darkening, the abyss growing all becoming black.
Three children watch as the ground is broken, their souls being shattered and the truth awoken.
The smallest of the group is crying aloud, the rain gently pouring as the town ponies gather in a crowd.
The middle child watches as her hopes seem to die, mother and father lowered into the ground, yet on the outside she can not cry.
The eldest speaks not at all, in fear those he loves will fall.
Ashes to ashes.
Dust to dust.
Now is the time to part, we must.
Planted here upon the hill, atop the ground our tears do spill,
Our prayers for one more day, fallen on deaf ears for time to decay.
With our parting, hearts will break, souls with shatter and faith shall shake.
Taken away in the prime of their life, leaving behind three children filled with strife.
Each will visit this hill, as the years pass and the sorrow builds.
They will cry and they will scream, they will go on much like an never ending stream.
They shall live and they shall love, some will fight and others shove.
Some will push ahead, others will give up and end up in dread.
Some will hide and live in the dark, others will go out in the world and leave a mark.
So never forget this one rule, the world is dark, cold and cruel.
Those you love will soon fade away, leaving you alone in the passing days.
Time is fickle and weak, it slips through your hooves and makes you meek.
With your loss you will see, the sorrow in our world is vast and runs free.
The ponies leave after a few kind words, their false love stabbing at the children like sharpened swords.
Little Apple Horse watches her mission come to an end, these scars she fears might never mend.
She was told time heals all wounds, that time can’t ever come too soon,
Yet as the dirt covers the burial mounds, they swear to forget them not.
For now they know.
Where’s The Plot.
The television screen faded back to blue, silence filling the room slowly. AJ just watched in silent fear, how did this movie know about her life? Other than it being told with ponies, it was almost word for word about her past.
“Phst! That’s all!? What a croc!” Dash pouted in anger and was quick to eject the dvd from the machine.
“What?” AJ asked confused, how could Dash not be as scared as her.
“I thought it was sweet.” Fluttershy spoke in a polite tone, holding a small can of soda in her hands.
“...” Aj cast a odd stare down to Fluttershy as well.
“It wasn’t supposed to be sweet! For $150 it was to be downright terrifying!” Dash growled under her breath in anger, slamming the dvd back into its case.
“Well a dvd about planting trees is still cute. I bet Tree Hugger would love it.” Fluttershy chirped up as AJ was caught off guard by her words.
“Well feel free to give it to her.” Dash groaned in annoyance, tossing the dvd to her friend who let out a squee happily.
Had she really just seen the dvd as something else?
AJ gazed down in confusion over the matter, her friends had seen just a cute childrens movie. Yet she was treated to a walk down memory lane, feeling a cold chill run down her body.
“I think I’ll call up Big Mac. I’m not feeling so well.” AJ spoke in a shaken tone, gazing down to the dvd in Fluttershy’s hand.
“Are you sick?” Fluttershy asked, the dvd dripping wet in her hand with dark warm ink.
“Nah! Just too much junk food probably.” AJ forced a giggle to escape her lips, blinking a few times as the dvd returned to normal.
“Well the phone is downstairs.” Dash spoke in a concerned tone, her friend swiftly standing and rushing out the door.
Dash could only gaze down to the floor in deep thought, what seemed to be spooking out AJ?
With a small shrug she flashed a smile to Fluttershy, standing up and walking over to her nearby dvd shelf.
“How about we switch things up and see a Rom-Com?” Dash asked her friend with a giggle, wiggling in place excitedly near the shelf.
“I’d love that! But not The Notebook please.” Fluttershy spoke in a sweet innocent tone, hugging the dvd close to her chest.
“I hate sad endings.”
