It was a cold night in Equestria. People made sure to wear warm clothes, stay inside and drink hot chocolate by the fire. Not a single soul was seen outside that night... Except for one unlucky princess. Princess Luna had Everfree watch. She didn't really want to check out the everfree at this time a night. Plus, it was very cold out. But alas, she had to for safety reasons.

"You'd think the weather would be an excuse for me to stay inside tonight but noooooo, It's 'mandatory' that I do so. I'd like to see Tia out here, freezing her butt off just to walk around a stupid forest." Luna complained to herself quite immaturely.

Luna was just about done scoping the area and was about to walk back when she heard someone shiver and cry a bit near by.

"What in the..." Luna muttered under her breath and cautiously walked over to where she heard the voice.

When she got there, her heart began to melt. A girl was sitting next to a cave, shivering from the cold gusts of wind. It looked as if she was crying as well.. But Luna couldn't tell for sure quite yet as she didn't want to get close and startle the girl.

Luna decided to approach her calmly so she didn't scare her off. "Hey there.."

The girl gasped a bit and looked up at Luna. "P-princess Luna? What are you doing o-out here.."

Luna noticed the girls stutter. Surprisingly, it wasn't out of fear. She still kept her distance just in case."I was scoping the area for safety reasons when I heard shivering and crying. I followed the sound and it lead me to you... What happened, if you don't mind me asking..."

The girl paused for a moment. "You can come closer if you want... I don't mind."

Luna smiled a bit and walked up to her. Now she was able to see her features a lot better. The girl had white hair with Amethyst purple eyes. She looked young... Like around 18 or 19. Luna knelt beside her in silence.

The girl began to speak "The people of the city I lived in chased me out of town a few years back... They saw me as a threat I guess... So i decided to live in the forest as no one is around to hurt me..."

Luna was was taken back by this. 'She's lived out here all this time... poor thing...' Luna thought to herself. She spoke up"What?! Why would they do that to you?"

"Because of my element... I was a cursed child..." The girl said sadly.

"Why would you be a cursed child because of your element?" Luna asked curiously.

"It's the element of insanity... It's the worst element to have... You're seen as a threat and a curse by everyone..." She said quietly

"Well that's just stupid. They shouldn't judge you on your element, but by your personality. Thats what matters more. To be honest, I see a really kind and amazing girl." Luna smiled softly

"Y-you do?" The girl asked, surprised.

Luna nodded "I really do."

The girl began to smile "That's a first for me.."

Luna smiled softly and gave her a quick but warm hug "Hey.. What's your name?"

"My name is Dollie.." The girl said quietly.

"Thats a very pretty name." Luna said softly.

"Thank you..." Dollie said shyly. She began to shiver.

"You need to warm up... How about you stay at the castle with me?" Luna suggested.

"Nonono, it's quite alright. I don't wanna be a burden to anyone..." Dollie said quietly.

"Nonsense. You won't be a burden to anyone. If anything, we'd like to have a face around. You'd be a good friend." Luna said, smiling reassuringly.

"A friend? No one's really wanted to be my friend before..." Dollie said, now feeling a bit warm on the inside.

"Well now you have one. Me." Luna smiled softly.

A genuine smile formed on Dollies lips. "Well... I guess I can stay at the castle then..."

That seemed to make Luna happy. "Great! Now lets get you back to the castle to warm up."

Dollie nodded a bit. As soon as she knew it, she was in another room. Luna wanted to hurry home as it was cold and just teleported back into her room. Dollie was sitting next to the fire place in Luna's room. She was cold and Luna waned her to warm up quick so she didn't get sick.

Dollie felt the warmth of the fire melt away the icy cold feeling that took over her body "Thank you..."

"Anytime." Luna said softly as she handed Dollie a cozy blanket.

Dollie wrapped it around herself and smiled softly. No ones ever been this kind to her before... It felt good on the inside and she was greatful.

"I think you and I will become good friends." Luna said, looking out her window.

"Ya think so?" Dollie asked, eyes sparkling with a bit if hope and happiness.

"I do" Luna said softly "I really do..."
