The Stallion from the Future

Applejack and her older brother were out at Sweet Apple Acres plowing the fields together. The birds were chirping their songs, the squirrels were collecting nuts, everything was so peaceful. That was until a strange sound pierced their ears. It sounded like a massive explosion going off. As they covered their ears and closed their eyes from the pain of the sound, they heard something that sounded like somepony screaming. As they opened their eyes to see where the scream was coming from, they looked up and saw a deep blue stallion fall from the sky and plummet into the ground. The two rushed over to the stallion and gasped at the horrible sight they had seen. The stallion was beaten to a bloody pulp, and he looked like he could leave Equestria at any second. The two exchanged a look and nodded at each other. Big Mac lifted the limp stallion onto his back as Applejack went to find the girls.

Twilight was in her library writing a letter to Celestia when Applejack burst in and made her lose her concentration, the ink spilling all over the parchment. She sighed and said to her friend, "Doesn't anypony knock anymore?" Only to look over to her friend and see the look of dismay on her face. "W-What's wrong Applejack!?"

Applejack said, "I'll explain later sugercube, we gotta get to the hospital! There's a stallion I found at Sweet Apple Acres, he looks like he's barely holdin' on!"

The two rushed out the door, leaving Spike to wonder, "Where's the fire all of a sudden?" Before it came to him that something was definitely wrong, and rushed out the door following them.

When they got to the hospital, their friends were waiting for them in the waiting room. Twilight looked around at her friends who looked like they were all about to cry. "A-Are we..."

Pinkie shook her head slowly saying, "We don't know yet, when we got here, Nurse Redheart said he was in the emergency room, and that we can't see him yet."

Rainbow Dash looked the most upset, she said, "I caught a glimpse of the guy as Big Mac arrived a little after I did... he's in bad shape, slash marks covering his entire body..."

Suddenly Nurse Redheart walked out of the back room and said, "You can see him now if you want. He hasn't woken up yet, the anesthesia hasn't worn off yet. We're lucky to have gotten him when we did. A few more minutes and I don't know if we would have been able to save him..."

The group walked into the room where the deep blue stallion lay, covered in stitches and his hooves wrapped in bandages. They started to notice that he looked a lot like Rainbow Dash, but nopony said anything about it. Next to his bed, there was a sword forged from dragon scales and bag of personal belongings. They sat in silence waiting for the stallion to wake up. Even Pinkie Pie had lost her signature energy at the sight of the battered stallion.

As they heard a moan, they rushed to his side, seeing his eyes slowly open. The first pony he saw was Twilight, and to everypony's surprise, he jumped at her swinging his hooves wildly, tears of frustration streaming down his muzzle. Applejack yelled, "Hold 'im down, he's gonna get himself injured again!"

Rainbow Dash grabbed the stallion from underneath his still swinging hooves and said, "Calm down runt! You're gonna open up those wounds again!" She noticed that the stallion trembled at her words and looked back to her, his eyes widened. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

The stallion looked around and saw where he was. He seemed to have calmed down enough that Rainbow Dash set him down, only for him to tackle her, but this time not the way she expected, he tackled her into a hug crying like a lost filly who just found her mother. She looked confused and looked up to her friends, "I think we might need to have this guy moved to the mental ward..."

The stallion got up off of Dash and said to himself, "I made it..." He looked at Twilight and bowed his head in apology saying, "I'm terribly sorry, I wasn't in a right state of mind. I thought you were somepony else... the pony who did this to me..."

Fluttershy had just brewed a cup of tea and handed it to the stallion saying, "Here, this will calm you down." Even though the stallion had just attacked one of her friends, she seemed genuinely worried about him, classic Fluttershy.

The stallion smiled and said, "Thank you Fluttershy." taking the tea and sipping it. The mare had been so pleased that she didn't even realize she hadn't told him her name.

When she came to the realization she asked, "W-Wait, do I know you?"

The stallion looked up from his tea and chuckled, "Technically, none of you know me yet, but I know you all quite well." He looked to Rainbow Dash and said, "You see... Rainbow Dash there... is my mother..."

All six ponies(and the dragon) yelled out in shock "What!?"

The stallion didn't seem surprised by their reactions and said, "Perhaps I should start from the beginning..." He laid back down on his cot and the group gathered around him to listen intently, Rainbow Dash especially. "I'm not from this timeline. I'm from twenty years in the future... In my world, all of you died in a brutal war that left Equestria shaken to it's very core. Not even the princesses or Discord survived." The groups' eyes widened at the stallion's explanation, but continued to listen to his story. He continued on "One day, a pony who claimed to be Twilight Sparkle declared that she had killed Celestia and Luna. She set out a plan to eradicate all of ponykind, claiming that mortals were the source of Equestria's troubles..."

Twilight seemed shocked that the stallion accused her of such a thing, saying "Why would I ever kill my fellow princesses!?"

The stallion recoiled at her anger, and continued on saying, "The resistance that fought against you started to call you Twilight Black, on account of your pure black mane..."

Rainbow Dash scoffed saying, "Twilight Black, what kind of pony would come up with such a dumb name?"

The stallion chuckled saying, "You would be that pony mother." As he continued his story, the group listened to every little detail, including how he had traveled back twenty years into the past to seek the help of the Mane Six.

Twilight stewed the story over before saying, "Ok, I believe you." The rest of the group stared at her in shock, as if they couldn't believe that a pony as smart as her could believe such a story. Twilight explained, "I admit, I don't fully understand it, but time travel spells are possible. But what I do see is that he's a pony in need of help, and I'm not going to just stand by and refuse to help him."

The rest of the group murmured silently to themselves before nodding. Rainbow Dash looked at her supposed son and asked him, "Just to be safe, if you're really my son, what's the name I always wanted to give to a colt if I had one?"

The stallion smiled and said, "Rainbow Blast. The same you gave me five years from now."

Rainbow Dash nodded saying, "He's my colt alright if that's his name."

Training Days

A few months had past since Rainbow Blast arrived in Ponyville. Twilight was still trying to understand how a Pegasus could have traveled back in time twenty years. She had performed a time travel spell once, but it only took her back a week before teleporting her back into her own time. It left her shocked that a pony without magic could travel so far back and stay there. She walked through her new castle's library, trying to find a book on the subject of time travel magic.

Rainbow Dash came in and said, "Hey Twilight, you got a sec? Blast's fully recovered and says he wants to show us something." The two ponies made their way to abandoned field where the rest of the group was waiting for them. "Ok Blast, what did you want to show us?" Rainbow asked her son, who she was still trying to comprehend having.

Blast stepped over to the edge of the nearby cliff and said, "You may want to stand back. I still haven't learned how to hold back the full potential of what I'm about to do." As he said this, the group slowly walked backwards and he sighed in relief. He didn't want them getting hurt, especially his mother. He flared his wings out and lifted himself a few inches off the ground. He put his hooves together next to his hip and starting focusing his energy.

As he did this, a colorful sphere formed in his hooves, and it grew larger and larger until he shoved his hooves forward saying, "Rainbow Burst... fire!" as he yelled the word 'fire' the sphere turned into a long beam of energy that stretched out across the horizon until eventually fading away.

Twilight stood shocked before saying, "What was that!? You can use magic!? B-But you're a Pegasus!" As millions of questions started forming in her head, she was interrupted by Rainbow Blast.

Rainbow Blast started explaining that what he had just done wasn't magic. He told them, "That's not magic, it's Ki. Ki is the energy that flows inside all living things, not just ponies, animals and plants too. Ponies are the only ones who are able to harness the latent power of their Ki though. Other species can tap into it, but not as much as ponies. If you try fighting Black without Ki, you'll never win, she's immune to magic. The resistance learned that the hard way... But there's another thing I need to show you. You all know about your Rainbow Power right? That power is hereditary, it's passed down to your foals. But since any foals you have will only have half of your DNA, they won't be able to tap into Rainbow Power the same way you will. And as the family goes on, the more diluted the Rainbow Power gene gets."

The stallion turned around to face them and started screaming, powering up. A bright yellow aura overtook his body, and as his screaming died down, the group noticed his mane standing up on edge, the color of pure gold. He started explaining, "I've only recently been able to tap into what little access I have to Rainbow Power. When I did, I achieved this form, I call it Super Equestrian. I have reason to believe that if I push myself farther, I might be able to achieve a higher state of Super Equestrian, but I'm not sure."

As he powered down and his mane returned to its rainbow color, Rainbow chuckled saying, "You are definitely my son! So awesome at such a young age!" She started thinking about what her son had said about fighting against Black, asking "So we've got to learn how to tap into our Ki if we want to beat Black?" Blast nodded and she said, "That's gonna be tough, you've been training to use that power since you were young, but us... we've always relied on the Elements of Harmony and our Rainbow Power, how are we supposed to learn that Ki mumbo jumbo so fast?"

Blast sighed and said, "I've known you my entire life mom, and I still don't get your million miles an hour attitude. Ki manipulation is something that takes time. You can't just learn it on the fly like you did with the Sonic Rainboom."

Twilight nodded saying, "Blast is right. Ki may not be magic, but I can see the similarities, it takes a lot of energy and concentration to use it. I'll consult with Celestia to see if she knows anything on the subject while the rest of you start undergoing training with Blast. That goes for you too Spike." she said glaring at the dragon who had started to sneak away.

She made her way back to her castle and started writing a letter to Celestia. The letter started

"Dear Princess Celestia,

It has been a few months since I last wrote to you, and I apologize, but I've been trying to cope with the events that have transpired lately. My friends and I have met a young stallion named Rainbow Blast. As hard as it may be to believe, he's Rainbow Dash's son from twenty years in the future. He says that all of us are dead, including you and Luna, as well as Discord. He also revealed a frightening truth, that the pony who injured him claimed to be me, although her mane was black as night. I was wondering if you know anything about an energy called Ki? Blast says we can't defeat Twilight Black, the pony impersonating me, with magic, we have to use an energy the flows through the bodies of all living things. I'm not sure how to make heads or tails of everything that's happened, but I do know one thing is for certain. I could never forgive myself if any harm came to you and Luna, and I couldn't be there to stop it. I understand if you're worried about my safety, I am too... but please don't try to stop me, it's against my instincts to turn away from somepony in need. I hope to hear from you soon, even more hopeful that you have advice on what to do.

Sincerely, Princess Twilight Sparkle."

She was still getting used to signing her name with her new title, but she didn't have time to worry about that right now. Her horn glowed and Spike appeared in the room.

Not noticing his new surroundings, Spike had spit out a small ball of Ki, sending it right into Twilight's face. He panicked as he saw Twilight on the floor and said, "Twilight, I'm so sorry! I didn't-" but he had calmed down when she got up and smiled at him.

She chuckled and said, "Don't worry Spike, it's my fault. I had forgotten that you were training with Rainbow Blast. I've got a letter to send to Celestia." She handed him the letter and with one breath of his flames, the letter was off.

As Celestia saw the green smoke materialize in her throne room and levitated the letter to read it, a look of pure terror overtook her face. She could not believe what her student had just written her. She walked out of her throne room and to her sister's bedchambers and told her, "Luna, pack your things, we're heading to Ponyville, there's a dire emergency there." Luna began to question her older sister, but she had already left.

"I hate it when she does that!" Luna yelled to herself as she started packing her trunk. What could be so important that they had to drop everything and go to Ponyville? In her mind, a light bulb popped and she said to herself, "Something must be wrong with Twilight... I hope she's okay..."

Sunset's Return, A New Ally is Born

As Blast was training the group on how to tap into their Ki, and more importantly, their Rainbow Power, somepony was watching them from another world. Meanwhile in the Equestria Girls universe, Sunset Shimmer and her friends were watching their pony counterparts train while they were at Sunset's house. Sunset looked down, not noticing her friends were staring at her sadness.

Applejack said, "What's wrong sugarcube?" Worrying about her friend. It wasn't like her to get this sad over something they couldn't do anything about.

Sunset snapped out of her sadness and sighed, "You girls know I'm from that world. I guess I just feel that I should be there, helping them..."

The rest of the group looked at each other and nodded, without Sunset noticing them. Rarity stood up and said, "Well, we'll just have to find a way to get you back!"

Sunset looked up at her friends and said, "W-What?" not fully comprehending what they meant. When it came to her what they were planning, she burst into tears, hugging her friends one by one, "Thank you so much girls! You have no idea what this means to me!"

A few hours later, they were in Principal Celestia's office explaining the situation. The Principal smiled and said, "Very well, I'll help you get back to Equestria." She went through her desk drawers and brought out a silver hand mirror that was encrusted with six jewels that looked like the Elements of Harmony. She handed it to Sunset Shimmer and said, "I have to warn you, once you go... I don't know if you'll be able to return..."

The news hit the girls very hard, at the thought of never seeing Sunset Shimmer again, they started to have second thoughts. But Sunset smiled and said, "That's okay." She looked back at her friends and said, "You've all been great friends to me, in spite of the horrible things I've done. Even if I can't come back, you'll always be my friends, in my heart. That much I know is true."

Her friends smiled and joined in a group hug, all holding back tears. As Sunset Shimmer activated the mirror, it glowed brightly and she disappeared, her friends saying their final good byes as she did, wishing her luck, and hoping to see her again.

Back in Ponyville, everypony was starting to get the hang of Ki control, well, almost everypony. Fluttershy had been too nervous to even attempt using her Ki. Angel tugged at her ear trying to convince her to help her friends. Blast stopped him saying, "Angel, don't get mad at her. It's not in Fluttershy's nature to hurt anypony, even anypony who she knows doesn't deserve a second chance."

Fluttershy smiled at Rainbow Blast saying, "Thank you Blast, you understand me so well." She was about to continue with her thank you before a loud scream pierced her ears.

A familiar voice shouted "Look out below!" before the pony that the voice came from landed right on top of Twilight.

Twilight's world was spinning from whoever had just landed on her. She saw an orange and red tail covering her eyes and said, "Wait... I know that tail... Sunset!?" forcing herself up and Sunset Shimmer off of her. She turned around to see to confirm that it was Sunset Shimmer, and when she saw her she tackled her into a hug.

Rainbow Blast raised an eyebrow asking, "Do you know her Twilight? I've never seen this pony, not even in my timeline."

As Twilight and Sunset got up from their hug, they started explaining how they knew each other. The news came as a shock to Rainbow Blast, but as he calmed down he said, "I suppose if it's possible for me to travel twenty years into the past, interdimensional transportation is possible too."

Twilight was shocked at the young stallion's vocabulary, his mother could barely read anything that wasn't a Daring Do novel, how could he be intelligent enough to understand what interdimensional transportation was? She shook it off after she the stallion caught her staring at him. She looked at Sunset and said, "Not that I'm not happy to see you again, but what are you doing back in Equestria? And more importantly, how did you get back?"

Sunset started explaining, "Me and the girls were watching you train with that dashing stallion-"

She was interrupted by an angry Rainbow Dash saying, "I catch you making goo-goo eyes at my son, I'll knock you upside the head!"

Rainbow Blast blushed deeply yelling at his mother, "M-Mom! Don't treat me like a newborn foal! I'm fifteen years old!" He couldn't believe his mother would embarrass him like that.

He trembled when he saw his mother glaring at him yelling back at him, "That's not too old to go over my knee!"

Sunset gulped and continued, "A-Anyway, I decided that I needed to help you. Principal Celestia gave me a way to come back to Equestria, but... I might not be able to go back to Canterlot High..."

The news hit Twilight hard as she said, "Why would you do something so reckless!?"

Sunset growled lightly and said, "Because friends help friends, you taught me that, remember? You and the girls helped me build a better future for myself, now it's my turn to repay the favor."

Before the two could start arguing, Blast intervened saying, "As long as she's willing to help us against Black, I'll be willing to train her. An ally is an ally, no matter where they come from. Anypony willing to help me and my world is good in my book."

Sunset looked at him smiling, her orange fur hiding her blush. "Thank you Rainbow Blast. I'll be sure to listen to each and every word of your training."

As training continued, Sunset Shimmer included, Fluttershy finally realized that she didn't want to see her friends die, especially Discord, and began to focus her Ki.

As training wrapped up for the day, Sunset looked to Rainbow Blast asking, "I almost forgot to ask, who's this Black you keep mentioning?"

Blast told her, "Twilight Black, or just Black, is a doppelganger of Twilight. She killed the princesses, as well as Discord and her friends. She's immune to magic, that's why I've been training everypony to learn how to control their Ki. I don't know if you'll be able to help as much as you think you will, since you don't have access to Rainbow Power, but that's not important right now. Let's go rest up, if you think today was tough, just wait until tomorrow."

Rainbow Dash and her son flew up towards Cloudsdale, Applejack went back to her farm, Rarity started dusting herself off, and Pinkie bounced off to who knows where. Fluttershy asked meekly, "D-Do you think I should tell Discord about Rainbow Blast?"

Twilight thought about it for a moment before shaking her head, "No, not yet at least. Even if he's reformed, he may still try to do something without thinking about the consequences first. I don't want to see him getting himself hurt, or worse."

Fluttershy nodded and started flying home. Twilight offered to Sunset, "You can stay with me and Spike at our castle while you're here Sunset. It's the least I can do for you."

Sunset smiled and said, "Thanks Twilight, I'll take you up on that offer." and the three of them started heading towards Twilight's castle.

Back at Celestia's castle, she was finally ready to head off to Ponyville with her sister. She still hadn't told Luna why they were going there, or what the emergency she spoke of was, but she knew she had to get to her student before this 'Twilight Black' did.

Discord Lends a Hoof, Celestia Arrives

As the group waited in their normal training spot, Rainbow Dash groaned and said, "What is taking Blast and Flutters so long? We've been here for hours and they're still not here!" She was getting frustrated with her son, who she was starting to realize would be a hoofful.

Meanwhile, Rainbow Blast was at Fluttershy's house trying to explain why he needed Discord's help with today's training session without telling her the full details. Fluttershy said sternly, "I'm not letting Discord help until you tell me exactly why you need his help."

Rainbow Blast sighed and said, "Fine, sometimes you're more stubborn than my mother. I need Discord to turn all of us into Earth Ponies. I need to teach everypony how to fly by manipulating their Ki. I've learned how to fly even if my wings are broken, but the rest of you don't know how to fly without wings or magic. It's important that you learn not to rely on your wings and magic, and more on your Ki. Black is relentless, she won't think twice about ripping your wings clean off, and then how are you going to fight her without being able to get up close?"

Fluttershy got scared at Blast's description of Black's cruelty, but calmed herself down saying, "That's all you needed to tell me. Discord, come here for a second!"

She called out to the God of Chaos, who walked out of his room yawning, "What is it Flutters? I was just enjoying a nice nap-" his eyes bulged out when he saw Rainbow Blast and asked "Who is that and why does he look so similar to Rainbow Dash?"

Blast shoved his hoof in Fluttershy's mouth as she opened it, saying, "I'll explain everything when the time is right, I need your help."

After explaining what he needed Discord to to, Discord teleported them to the field and stroked his beard saying to the group, "I don't quite understand your new friend's way of thinking, but I'm too tired to ask questions right now." He snapped his griffin claws and in a second, the wings and horns of anypony who had them disappeared. Discord looked at Rainbow Blast and said, "I'll be back at Fluttershy's house when you're ready to turn them back to normal. Ta!" and with that he was gone

Rainbow Dash yelled at her son in an oddly loud voice, "WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU THINKING!?"

Rainbow Blast grabbed his ears in pain from his mother's yelling and said, "You can still fly if you focus hard enough. You don't need wings to fly. I've had my wings broken by Black more times than I can count, and I've still flown perfectly without them." He proved what he was saying by flying into the air and laying down on a cloud. "If you want to continue your training, you'll have to find a way to get up here. And don't bother trying to shoot me down with Ki blasts." he waved his hooves in a circle and a force field of Ki surrounded him and the cloud he was on. "Now, I'm going to nap while you try to figure out how to get up here." He said before falling asleep.

Everypony stood there in shock at what had just happened, except Fluttershy, although when everypony else glared at her, she recoiled into a ball. Twilight calmed the others down and said, "No, we shouldn't get mad at Fluttershy. Although she did agree to help Blast with this, Blast is the one who planned all this. Blast is right, all of us except Sunset saw what Blast looked like when he arrived here. If Black's the one who did that to him, we're going to need to learn to fly without wings or magic. Now let's get started!"

After about two hours of trying to get it right, the group still couldn't get their hooves off the ground for more than a few seconds, let alone long enough to reach Blast. They sighed mumbling about how easy Blast had made it look. Suddenly a voice said from the bushes, "You're all trying much too hard to achieve your goals. You're overthinking it."

Twilight recognized that voice, it was Celestia! The white Alicorn emerged from the bushes alongside her sister and said, "I got your letter Twilight, and I must say, it was deeply disturbing. However, I had to come see if this pony from the future was real before dispelling it as stress." She looked up to the napping stallion on the cloud. She nodded, "It seems my suspicions have been confirmed."

She sent a magical blast up towards the stallion, but before it could make contact, Twilight yelled, "Princess don't, there's a-" but before she could finish her sentence, the blast bounced off Rainbow Blast's force field and knocked Luna unconscious, causing Twilight to finish her sentence quietly, "Force field..."

Celestia looked at her sister and nudged her awake before saying, "His Ki must be very powerful for it to resist my magic..." She hadn't been able to understand how his Ki could have blocked her magic, but then looked at Twilight and asked, "Didn't you say he was Rainbow Dash's son?"

Twilight nodded and answered, "Yes, and he's able to tap into Rainbow Power, which apparently is carried down through genetics."

Luna said shaking her head, trying to stop her world from spinning from her sister's rebounded blast, "That explains it. If he can access even a portion of Rainbow Power, his Ki also is much more powerful than even ours."

The stallion in the cloud awoke rubbing his head saying groggily, "Didn't I tell you, you can't break through this force field with Ki-" until he saw Celestia and Luna standing down with his mother and her friends. He flew down quickly and said, "My sincerest apologies Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, I had no idea you would be blessing us with your presence."

Celestia was quite surprised at how well mannered the stallion was, considering he was Rainbow Dash's son. But she smiled and said, "So you're the Rainbow Blast I've heard so much about. You're the spitting image of your mother. I understand you're in need of help dealing with somepony named Twilight Black?"

Rainbow Blast nodded and explained his story to her and her sister and said, "That's why I came back. I knew that if I came into a time period where my mother and her friends, as well as the rulers of Equestria were still alive, I might have a fighting chance against Black."

Celestia sighed and said, "Unfortunately, you've done quite a bit more damage than you realize. When a normal pony travels back that far, it creates a ripple in the time-space continuum. You've created a multiverse paradox. Your world and our world are still the same, but by coming back that far, you've severely damaged the timeline, causing your world to split into a second reality."

The news hit Rainbow Blast like a bag of bricks to his face. He started tearing up before breaking down, his head in his hooves. "I just wanted to save everypony! Now I've ruined everything!"

Rainbow Dash's Rage: Enter Super Equestrian Rainbow

Celestia's news that Blast had caused his timeline to become a separate reality didn't stop the group's training. They still gave it everything they had. Rainbow Dash had been the first to go one on one with her son. Her overconfidence started showing when she said, "You may be my son, but I'm still gonna beat you in ten seconds flat!"

Blast's face showed no signs of emotion of any kind. He still wasn't taking the news that he had messed up big time very well. But despite that he said, "Don't get cocky mom, I won't be holding back." he powered up into his Super Equestrian form and prepared himself.

Rainbow Dash flew at him, throwing her hooves at her son, but he dodged every swing. As she realized that Super Equestrian didn't only increase power, but also speed, she started to get angry. She looked for her son, who had disappeared.

Twilight yelled up to her saying, "Don't trust your eyes, try to hone in on his Ki!"

Rainbow Dash nodded to herself and closed her eyes, trying to focus on where her son's Ki was. But even that was moving so fast she couldn't keep up. It was only when she felt herself plummeting to the ground that she knew where he was.

Blast floated in the air saying, "I was expecting more of a fight from you mom, but I think Fluttershy might prove more challenging if that's all you've got."

The words hit her ears like a Unicorn's horn against a chalkboard. She was so angry that she hadn't even noticed she was dangerously close to the ground. As she crashed into the hard ground, she couldn't believe what she had just heard. Her own son thought that Fluttershy would be more of a challenge than her!?

Celestia looked up at the expressionless stallion and said, "He's toying with her. He's trying to bring out her hidden power. He knows his mother well enough that he knows the only way for her to tap into that power is to become utterly humiliated, and by her own son no less."

Fluttershy's legs were shaking like they were made of jelly. "I have a bad feeling he's going to push her too far..."

Celestia calmed Fluttershy down saying, "Don't worry Fluttershy, if things get out of hoof, I'll be ready."

Blast continued to taunt his mother by saying, "This fight's over, you obviously haven't learned anything since day one. Fluttershy, you're next, get ready."

Rainbow Dash's anger was at its peak. She slammed her hoof into the ground with such force that it caused the ground to shake and crack. "I'm not done yet! I'm not going to be outdone by my own son, let alone Fluttershy!" She started breathing deeply as her mane started crackling with energy. As she screamed at the top of her lungs, her mane stood up on edge.

Blast's facial expression finally changed, showing that he was pleased. He knew he had pushed his mother past her limits. What he didn't know is that he had pushed her too far. He only realized this when his mother delivered a swift blow to his gut, and he coughed up blood. As he fell to the ground the group rushed to his side, only to be blasted away by Rainbow Dash.

"I won't be humiliated like this! I'm Rainbow Dash, you stupid poser!" as she rushed down at her son, who was opening his eyes and quivered in fear, she stopped with her hoof right in front of his muzzle. "B-Blast... no, don't be afraid... It's me... your mother..." She hadn't felt like this before. She realized she was about to smash her own son's face in and started crying. Her sorrow overtook her rage as she powered down and fell on top of her son crying her eyes out.

Celestia rushed over to them and said, "I think that's enough training for the two of you, don't you Rainbow Dash? A mother needs to look out for her son's safety and well being. Let's get him patched up."

Rainbow Dash looked down to her son, who still had blood dripping out of his mouth. She broke down crying even harder, not believing that she had done that. It was only when her son pulled her into a hug that she calmed down.

Blast, despite being badly injured, fought through the pain as he hugged his mother, "Don't worry mom... It's my fault, I shouldn't have pushed you that far. I just wanted to help you bring out your power."

Rainbow Dash wiped the blood from her son's cheek smiling, "I forgive you Blast, I'm sorry I freaked out like that. I would never have forgiven myself if I had gone too far."

The group made gave out an "Aww" which made Rainbow Dash blush, realizing that her friends had been watching their touching family moment.

She glared at them saying, "Ah shut up, I ain't going soft, I'm just taking care of my son."

Applejack laughed and said, "We know Dash, we know."

Rainbow Dash took her son back to their house and patched up his wounds before asking, "Hey... I've been meaning to ask you something... who exactly is your father?" But her son had already fallen asleep and she chuckled thinking to herself, "I'll ask him in the morning. Good night Blast." she kissed him on the cheek and lifted the blanket over him and went into her own room falling asleep.

Celestia was still trying to calm Twilight down from the incident between Dash and her son. She explained, "Dash has a lot of pride. Being beaten by her own son is the worst insult to her pride. While I don't approve of Blast's methods, I can't deny their effectiveness. Dash was able to enter her own Super Equestrian form, even though her rage had made her lose all self control."

Twilight sighed saying, "That's what I'm worried about, what if it happens again? What if... what if she can't calm herself down?"

Celestia smiled saying, "Blast is a good teacher, especially for somepony so young. He'll be able to teach her to control it, I'm sure of it."

Rainbow Blast's Marefriend is Pinkie Pie's Daugher!?

Rainbow Blast had been walking around Ponyville. Everywhere he looked, he saw mares and their coltfriends spending time together. He sighed as he continued walking, saying to himself, "I miss you Pizza... I miss you so much..." trying not to cry at the thought of the mare he left behind.

Pinkie Pie bounced up to him and said, "What's wrong Blast? You look so down. Let's turn the frown upside down with a Pinkie Pie party! I never threw you one when you arrived, I think it's long overdue!" Before Blast could answer, she had dashed off to get her friends.

Rainbow Blast sighed, "Like mother, like filly I suppose." He kept walking, hoping to get her off his mind, but he knew that the party would just remind him of her.

At the party, Rainbow Blast kept to himself until his mother came up to him and asked, "What's wrong Blast? Nopony's ever kept this quiet at one of Pinkie's parties."

Blast sighed and said, "If I tell you, will you promise not to get mad or yell?"

Rainbow Dash nodded saying, "Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye."

Rainbow Blast said, "Every time I see Pinkie Pie's peppiness, it reminds me of my marefriend, Pinkie's daughter Pizza Pie."

Rainbow Dash took in what her son had just said before bursting out into a fit of laughter, which caused her friends to come over. Applejack asked, "What are ya laughing 'bout Dash?"

Dash continued laughing as she said, "Get this, Blast's marefriend is Pinkie Pie's daughter, Pizza Pie!"

Her friends glared at her and Applejack said, "That ain't funny Dash, how would you feel if you never saw Soarin' again?"

Rainbow Dash stopped laughing when Applejack said that and said to her son, "Sorry I laughed Blast, I wasn't being very considerate of your feelings..."

Before Dash could continue her apology, a crying filly interrupted her and she said, "Pinkie, didn't you say Pound Cake and Pumpkin Cake started school this year?"

Pinkie nodded her head and said, "Yep! But Pizza Pie's still in diapers! I better go take care of it!" before bouncing off, leaving the rest of the group in shock. They followed her to find a unicorn filly with a fluffy cotton candy pink and cheese yellow mane in a crib crying.

Blast stood in shock at the sight of the filly who grew up to be his marefriend. He smiled and said, "That's her alright, that's Pizza Pie."

Rarity asked, "How long have you had her Pinkie?"

Pinkie giggled and said, "I had her about a month before Blast arrived. She's mine and Cheese Sandwich's"

Twilight raised an eyebrow asking, "And you never told us why?"

Pinkie didn't look up from changing Pizza Pie's diaper, but she did answer, "I've been meaning to, but I've been so busy taking care of her, along with Blast's training, I just haven't gotten around to it."

Before Twilight could say anything, the same noise that Applejack had heard before Blast arrived interrupted her. The group rushed outside and instead of hearing a screaming pony, they saw what looked like a shooting star and Blast said, "No... it can't be..." he flew off towards where the shooting star appeared to have landed and the others took off after him.

When they got to where it had landed, they saw something that looked like a giant star. Rainbow Dash asked her son, "What is that thing?"

Blast rushed up to the object and said, "This is one of the Time Machines that me and Pizza Pie were going to use! Mine was torn to pieces when I arrived, but this one's in good enough condition that we could modify it to get all of us back to my world!"

Applejack said, "So that explains all the scrap metal we've been finding. Good thing Granny didn't throw it out, she's always finding new uses for anything."

Twilight rushed over to the machine and asked excitedly, "So you didn't use magic to travel back in time, you used this?"

Blast nodded saying, "Yeah, but why is it here? When the two of us were about to travel back, we were attacked by Black, and I thought she badly damaged Pizza Pie's machine..."

A voice said from inside the machine, "Silly Blast, did you forget who built the machines?"

The machine's cockpit opened up and revealed a fully grown version of the filly back at Sugarcube Corner. Blast's eyes were watering and he hugged the mare, "Pizza Pie! I thought I'd never see you again!"

The two exchanged a kiss before the group interrupted. Rainbow Dash said, "So you're my son's marefriend? And apparently Pinkie's daughter from the future?"

Pizza Pie nodded and said, "Yeppers! Blast, you should have known better than to think some damage would stop me, I built the time machines."

That came to a shock to the rest of the group, including Pinkie. Spike broke the silence asking, "So, if you're Pinkie's daughter, does that mean you can..."

Pizza Pie nodded saying, "Yep, I can go Super Equestrian too!"

Blast stopped Pizza from going on and on about how long it took to get the Time Machine built, and then repaired saying, "We'll catch up later Pizza, we've got a problem." he explained what happened as a result of their time travel.

Pizza's mane and tail went flat, much like her mother's would when she was sad. "Dammit! All that trouble, and now we've ruined everything!"

Blast shook his head saying, "Even if our world is a separate reality, it doesn't mean we can't save it. We'll have to modify the Time Machine to fit all of us, but after that, we'll be set."

Pizza though about his suggestion and said, "Well, I'm going to need some parts from yours in order to make such major modifications. So who's coming with us? I don't recognize her" she said referring to Sunset Shimmer

Blast said, "That's Sunset Shimmer, she's from an alternate universe, and she's coming with us, and so is everypony else-"

He was cut off by another voice who said, "Twilight! How could you cut me out of this!?" before another unicorn came out looking quite angry.

Twilight grinned sheepishly at the unicorn and said, "Sorry Starlight, I was planning to tell you about this, but I've been so busy."

"Another friend we don't know about? Care to introduce us?" Pizza Pie asked

Starlight bowed politely and said, "I'm Twilight's student in friendship, Starlight Glimmer."

When they heard her say her name, they looked surprised, "St-Starlight!? Sorry, we didn't recognize you, you look so different than you do in our time."

Starlight questioned them saying, "Wait, I'm still alive in your time?"

Blast nodded, "You trained me in the art of swordplay, and trained me and Pizza Pie to use our Ki."

Twilight chuckled and said, "One thing's for sure, as long as we keep hanging out with these two, we'll never have a dull moment again."

Blast from the Future

Ever since Pizza Pie arrived in Ponyville, training had gone a lot quicker. Everypony had become a Super Equestrian, even Sunset Shimmer and Starlight Glimmer had reached a form similar to it. Rainbow Blast was sitting in his mother's house, meditating.

Rainbow Dash came up to him and said, "Hey, are you doing anything besides just sitting? Shouldn't we be training or something?"

Rainbow Blast said, "It's called meditation mother, it's a way of calming yourself down." Suddenly, a rush went down his spine and he said, "N-No... it's her..."

Rainbow Dash heard him and said, "Who?" before realizing that kind of fear from her son could only mean one thing, "B-Black!?"

The two rushed down to Ponyville and met up with the others, "Pizza, you feel it too, don't you?"

Pizza Pie nodded, "B-But how... how could she have found us!?"

Celestia and Luna walked up to them and Celestia said, "I have a theory that somepony has switched bodies with Twilight, but who, I don't know."

Rainbow Blast gritted his teeth saying, "That won't stop me, I'll end this, once and for all!"

Dash knocked him upside the head and said, "Are you nuts!? Fighting her is what got you in this situation, let us take care of this!"

Rainbow Blast growled saying, "This is my fight mother! You can help, but I'm the one who's going to kill Black!"

Before the two of them could continue fighting, Pizza Pie, "I think we should focus less on who's going to kill Black and more on that unholy power heading our way!"

Rainbow Blast sighed and nodded, "She's right, let's go!" before flying off towards Black's energy, followed by the others.

As they came across a purple Alicorn with a black mane and tail, Blast said, "Black!" pulling out his sword and charging up his Super Equestrian form.

Black chuckled and said, "You never learn, do you Blast? I'm not here for you anyway. I'm here for her." she pointed towards Twilight Sparkle and said, "I want to test her body against the real deal, something I could never do in our world."

Twilight shoved Rainbow Blast out of the way. "Let me take care of this Blast. She stole my body, and killed my friends. This is my fight."

Blast couldn't argue with that, so he stopped charging up. "Let's at least take this farther away, we're still too close to the town. Black may not care about bystanders, but the rest of us do."

As they started flying away, Blast talked to Pizza Pie and said, "Something's different about her. Did you see that ring on her horn? She didn't have that in our time. That ring might have something to do with how she got here."

Pizza Pie nodded, "That's the only conclusion, but how could a ring have enough power to travel back twenty years?"

As they stopped in a wasteland, Black said, "Ok Sparkle, I'll admit, I don't have much time before I'm forced back. The ring on my horn only allows me to stay here for about three hours. I'll be sure to kill you in half that time though."

Twilight growled and said, "If this was a fight with magic, I wouldn't stand a chance, but I've been training with Ki. I don't know if it's enough, but I will not lose, and I won't let you hurt anypony else." before charging up into her Super Equestrian Rainbow form.

Black grimaced, "Dammit... even with your body, I still haven't been able to achieve that form. But no matter, it will make things more interesting."

As the two of them fought, everypony was cheering for Twilight, except Blast. When questioned about why he wasn't encouraging her, he said, "Twilight's giving it everything she has, but to Black... this is just a game. Black grows stronger with every fight, that's part of why we've never been able to defeat her. But that's the least of our worries. Black knows all of Twilight's techniques, it's possible that she even knows the techniques she's developed after I came here."

Black suddenly got the upper hoof when she formed a sword of Ki that impaled Twilight, barely missing her heart. "You may be the Princess of Friendship, but even that power cannot hope to stand up to that of a god!" before removing the sword and letting Twilight fall to the ground. Black looked over to Celestia and Luna and said, "I might as well take care of you two while I'm here, it'll save me a lot of trouble later down the line." As she began to attack, it was as if something was pulling on her wings. "D-Dammit! Not now!" As she said this, she was pulled backward into the sky and disappeared, but not before she let out one last Ki blast, in a last ditch effort to kill the Princesses.

As the blast was about to his them, Rainbow Blast jumped in the way and took the full blunt of it before falling to the ground. Rainbow Dash ran over to him yelling "Blast!"

Celestia couldn't believe that the stallion would risk his own life to protect her. She touched her horn to his head, casting a healing spell. She walked over to Twilight and gasped at the sight of her student's wound from the Ki sword impaling her. "Twilight..." she tenderly touched her horn to the wound, sealing it closed with her magic.

As Twilight slowly got back up, wincing from the pain, she said, "I can't believe that somepony could have that much power... but what concerns me is what she said when she stabbed me... that my power couldn't stand up to that of a god... what could she have meant by that?"

Suddenly, Discord, who hadn't appeared to have been there at all said, "Whoever it is who took over Twilight's body, she's a god. That's what it means. Honestly, you didn't think that I was the only god in existence did you? I'm a God of Chaos, for Equestria at least, there are nine other Gods of Chaos, as well as ten Gods of Order, also known as the Tapus. I haven't been in contact with Equestria's Tapu in some time, but I'm certain she could help us get to the bottom of this."

Even Celestia seemed shocked by this, and she said, "I believe you owe us an explanation Discord."

Discord nodded and said, "I'll explain everything, but not right now, we have to let these two rest first."

Discord Explains the Gods

After the small battle with Twilight Black, Discord had been in a bad position with what he knew about her. Discord sat down in Twilight's castle library and said, "An explanation is indeed in order. Equestria lays on a plane of ten universes. Each universe has a God of Chaos and a God of Order. The Gods are life linked in order to keep balance in each universe."

Twilight seemed intrigued and said, "So your life is linked to another pony's, meaning if they die, you die too?"

Discord nodded, "That's exactly what it means, but it didn't apply when I was trapped in stone, since I wasn't dead, the God of Order in Equestria didn't die either. Gods of Chaos are in charge of creating imbalance and destruction. Gods of Order correct the imbalance and create life. I don't quite approve of mortals creating a machine to mess with time, but in this situation, I can't say I wouldn't do the same thing." he snapped his griffin claws and a crystal orb appeared in front of him. He tapped it twice and said, "Kasuke, can you hear me? It's Discord."

An image of a strange creature that looked somewhat like a cross between a dragon and a pony appeared and said, "D-Discord! It certainly has been a long time since I've heard from you!"

Discord rolled his eyes and said, "Skip the pleasantries Kasuke, the timeline's in danger." he explained Blast's situation to Kasuke and said, "There's definitely a rouge god involved in this. It's the only explanation."

Kasuke looked in shock and said, "While I can't understand why a God of Chaos or a Tapu would do such a thing, you're right. Nothing else makes sense. Speaking of which, I don't see Dramus with you."

Discord's eye widened at the word 'Dramus' and he slapped himself in the face with his lion paw and said, "I can't believe I forgot to contact him after I got released! Do you have any idea where he is?"

Suddenly, a light blue creature that looked similar to a human with pure white hair appeared behind him and said, "You certainly haven't been easy to find Lord Discord."

Discord looked at the humanoid behind him and said, "Good to see you again old friend."

Celestia became bewildered and asked, "Discord, who is this?"

Discord introduced Dramus as his assistant and former mentor.

Blast grew impatient and said, "Sorry to break up the tearful reunion, but can we get back to the problem at hoof?"

Discord sighed and said, "Yes, terribly sorry Rainbow Blast. I could easily get rid of this rogue god, if I knew who it was. Although, Black's Ki seemed familiar, as though I've sensed it before."

Blast tilted his head and said, "You know somepony with a similar Ki to Black's? Who?"

Discord stroked his beard trying to remember and said, "Ah yes, Dramus, didn't the Tapu of Universe 5 have an apprentice?"

Dramus nodded and said, "Yes, I believe her name was Tiaka?"

Discord nodded, "That's her. First, we'll talk with Draku, Universe 5's Tapu. Black had a Time Ring. Only the Tapus possess those."

Dramus nodded, "Yes my lord. Shall we bring your friends along?"

Discord stroked his beard, thinking of whether he should bring the others before saying, "Only Twilight. I want to see if Tiaka shows any signs of contempt for her."

Twilight nodded, "Alright, I'll go."

Rainbow Blast mumbled something under his breath but said, "Just be careful Twilight. I don't want the events of my world to take place a second time."

Twilight smiled, "Of course, I'll be careful" before stepping over to Discord and the Dramus person. "Let's go."

Dramus nodded, tapping his staff against the ground twice, and the three of them took off in what seemed like going from zero to a thousand in a matter of seconds.

Blast sighed, somewhat in relief, and somewhat in nervousness. He looked to the rest of the group and said, "Well, we can't slow down on training just because Twilight isn't here, now can we?"
