//-------------------------------------------------------// Rainbow Racers: Trials of a Rainbow -by Sandstorm94- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Know your car... //-------------------------------------------------------// Know your car... Rainbow was highly irritated, it was close to being eleven in the morning and she had just finished her physical. She knew she would pass so she just went through the motions, but the part that kept grinding her gears was none other than her lover. After taking a shower, an extra long one due to the fact she was dirty again halfway through, Spitfire had took her to the medical building and left her there. "Where the hell is she!?!?" The cerulean-skinned girl thought as she slowly kicked her legs frontwards and back as she sat on the examination table. In the short time that she had got to know Spitfire, she truly had come to love her. Yes the sex was great, but she also loved her golden angel's personality and body. She never thought she would be bi, let alone a lesbian, but the way Spitfire made her feel had her having second thoughts about her sexual identity. She was interrupted from her thoughts by the doctor coming in. "Sorry for the hold up Mrs. Dash," He said with a sincere tone of apology. "but your blood work seemed slightly off. We decided to blame it on the magic running through you, so you are cleared per NHRA standards, and good luck on your test. Everyone here at the track is rooting for you after seeing how fast you can, literally, run." Rainbow jumped off the table when she saw Spitfire come in through the door. "Way to drop me off and leave me Goldie..." Spitfire thought it was cute that her lover had called her that. "Sorry about that Blue, but as I was about to come in I got a text from Soarin. I had to have a meeting with NHRA execs to allow you to use my car for your blind test. Would have let you know, but keep in mind there is a signal blocker to discourage cell phone use." She then tossed Rainbow the suit from the day prior. "Now suit up, you got a test to pass and please try not to screw up the transmission. However, before your runs we need to get that blind test out the way first." "I won't Goldie." Once she got dressed, she followed the older woman to the Buick, which was already at the staging line, and a few gentleman with clipboards were waiting beside it. Nervousness briefly set in as she figured out those were the testers, but she kicked the thought away as she refocused on the task at hand. She could imagine the engine purring, just as she was internally at the sway in Spitfire's hips as the woman put her hand on the roof. Rainbow shut her eyes as she was being blindfolded to make sure she wouldn't be accused of cheating as Spitfire kindly helped her into the cockpit. "Ok Blue, now it is fully in your hands, and good luck." Spitfire's voice called out to Rainbow, mentally shifting her into second. Despite not owning a car and never being behind the wheel of a vechical with a manual transmission, Rainbow had one major thing working in her favor. With most of her courses complete, she had been placed in Shop and Automotive classes her senior year. At the time, she was steamed because it meant less time handing out with her friends, but now she was thankful for every lesson she learned. Even with her being blindfolded she had the basics in her head, the fact it was the only classes she had a 100 in, besides music and gym, being her launch point. "First of all," Rainbow said placing her hands firmly on the steering wheel at 10 and 2. "steering wheel." She moved past it to the gauges on the dashboard. "The large one here is the tachometer, beside it to the right is the gauges for oil pressure and engine temperature. The ones on the left are transmission temp and voltage." She then placed her feet on the petals. "Left is brake, middle is gas, right is clutch...of course the lever I feel here by the steering wheel has to be for the parachute." She was gaining confidence, being in the cockpit feeling more and more natural as her right hand moved down to the shifter. "First gear..." She tapped the clutch as she moved the shifter up. "Second..." Over one click and down. "Third..." Hitting the clutch once more she pushed the shifter up. "And finally fourth..." A small round of applause greeted her as Spitfire leaned in and undid the blindfold. "Blind test passed, now for the true one. You get four runs, the first one a 1/8th pass followed by three back-to-back quarter mile runs. Now, if you can drive this like you drive me..." Spitfire said helping Rainbow strap into her safety harness, making sure to make the younger girl purr. She started with the bottom strap, slowly pulling it up into place as she purposely rubbed a finger over where Rainbow's slit was. The girl gasped at the imaginary sensation, her body on fire as she pictured Spitfire fingering her, but Spitfire wasn't through with teasing her yet. "you will have no problem passing this test." Rainbow squirmed at the ministrations her girlfriend was giving her, even with her not being able to feel them through the suit. After putting the bottom strap into place, Spitfire slowly worked her hands up her body. The imaginary pleasure Dash was starting to feel was like the Top Fuel queen was the one about to push her to the limit once again. "I-I hope so Goldie, I wi-ill do my best." She was panting now as Spitfire clamped the waiststrap into place and firmly secured it. Rainbow felt her panties become soaked, her internal drive already in third gear, as Spitfire teasingly drug the process out as long as possible. She went into fourth as Spit suddenly grabbed the shoulder straps and started moving downwards, caressing the shoulders before moving down towards the breasts. As Spit got there, she teased by using the back of her hand to rubbed Rainbow's nipples through the suit, putting enough pressure behind it so Rainbow actually felt it. She glided her hands down and locked the straps into place to finish the routine. "Here," Soarin said walking over and handing Dash a helmet, Spitfire's very one. "Seeing as that is the only one available, use it for this, but I am going to need it back for the Wonderbolt." Rainbow gave a thumbs up after securing the helmet in place, which was a remarkably perfect fit. After donning some gloves to protect her hands, the window net was raised and everyone backed off as Rainbow fired up the engine. The motor screamed to life with the roar of an angry lion and Dahs settled into her own zone. Her's was simple, she imagined her and Spitfire's sex session as her timer. The Christmas Tree glowed as the first lights came on, that being the first kiss. It went into a Prench kiss as she moved to the second staging zone and stayed until the sequence of yellow lights came on. One finger, then two, then three moving in her as she orgasmed on green. Her launch was a hair off timed, something to be expected all things considered as she started down the track. She played it smart, using the sound of the RPM to shift through the gears, somehow getting into third as her first run ended and she activated the chute. She felt good, her first run being like when Spitfire first kissed her, it left her hungry for more as she made it back to the starting line. "How did I do?" Rainbow asked as she prepared for her next run. Spitfire smiled. "Slightly slow on the start, but recovered quite nicely..." 7.005 76.444 MPH "Woah..." That was the only word Rainbow could muster out before the official tapped the hood twice, signaling that it was time for her first quarter mile test. Once again going through the motions, and when the light went green she took off with a much smoother launch. That was evident by how much quicker she had to change gears from first to second, nearly hitting the redline shifting into third but managed to catch it just in time before a perfect shift into fourth. The world slowed back down to normal as the chutes activated and she once again started her wind-down back to first. "Easy on the trigger, you nearly overreved." Spitfire scolded when Dash lined back up. "Second to third hurt you, but otherwise you got the mechanics. One run down...two to go..." 11.107 119.710 MPH Dash was a bit sore at herself, she knew she was faster, she knew she could do better. Recovering as she saw the first light on the tree ignite, she slowed her own self down. Instead of thinking of the shifts ahead, she listened closer to the heartbeat of her engine and was going to take this run in stride. Channeling an inner peace she had not felt before, she timed her launch perfectly. "First to second..." She overshot her target by a mere 300 RPM, but that was more than enough to make a wheel lurch slightly into the air. Panic nearly set in, but she knew if she blew it Spitfire would not get off her case about it. "Second to third..." Once again, she overshot the sweet spot, but only by 100 RPM. By the time she shifted into fourth, a perfect shift, she knew this run was going to be better. Deep down in the pit of her gut she felt she could do a perfect run, but only had once last chance to pull it off as she gazed at the scoring pole. 11.005 120.072 MPH Rainbow took a minute to collect her thoughts, she knew if she was going to even be considered a contender and not a pretender she had to have a flawless run. The tree lit up, it did its sequence in a mocking fashion, Rainbow taking off with a perfect launch that even impressed Spitfire with how well it was timed. "First to second..." Rainbow shifted, the wheels staying on the ground meant it was perfect. "Second to third..." The car jolted as the power transfer to the transmission cranked up, once again it was flawless and Rainbow knew she was in the clear. "Third to fourth....I did it!" The engine seemed to sing a chorus for the achievement, the surroundings becoming a blur as she took off like breaking the sound barrier. She had never felt so alive, and hidden by the helmet visor was a smile that seemed to light up the cockpit. The moment she hit the stripe and activated the chutes she started fist pumping the air. As she headed back towards the line she was greeted with a sight that made her heart swim. Everyone on Spitfire's crew was clapping, Spitfire herself was running towards the car with a smile that matched Dash's in brightness. Dash stopped the car as Spitfire drew near, putting down the net and snapping off the helmet so quick it was a miracle she didn't break her neck. "That's what I'm talking about Blue! Job damn well done, you just earned your Super Street license." Spitfire leaned in and gave Rainbow a deep passionate kiss, both females feeling like fireworks were ignited in their souls as Rainbow climbed out of the car. Spitfire was the one to break it, but only because she needed a breath of air. "How good was that last run Goldie?" Rainbow asked while giving the gloves and helmet back to Soarin, who gave the new driver a firm congratulatory handshake before walking off. "Blue, you beat my own personal best in her...take a look at the scoring pole for yourself." Spitfire was beside herself, although a bit jealous her time in the Century was beat, she could not think of a better driver to lose her time to. Rainbow looked and her jaw dropped, Spitfire's words carrying extra meaning considering how long she had been a professional. 10.931 121.665 MPH "I...I ran that?.." Rainbow was having trouble believing her own eyes, it felt like a dream, but when the official gave her the license it hit home that this was reality. She knew Spitfire would want to celebrate with her that night, but for now she was basking in the glow of her greatest life achievement to date. She knew what would happen next, she would painfully have to tell all her friends goodbye and travel the circuit once she got her a car, but the promise of a greater and brighter tomorrow loomed down the lane. It was just a matter of her holding on and taking it, making it a reality. "I'm Rainbow Dash...professional drag racer..." Rainbow thought as the now-lovable sound of the Wonderbolt firing up pierced the silence, announcing it had woken from its' slumber and was meaning business. Rainbow had claimed the first stepping stone of her young career, one every racer including Spitfire had to take. Now with that notched into her belt, she ran to the Thunder Racing pit area to see Spitfire aim for her next win.
