Soon Rainbow Dash was sitting in her chair with a fresh pair of clothes borrowed from Twilight and with some delicious food given to her to eat. The five watched as she quickly ate the food wondering if what they heard was true about their friend. Twilight decided to be the first to speak about what happened all those years ago.

“Rainbow Dash. I know that no matter how many times we apologize we will not know all the torment you had faced throughout your……” she shuddered at the thought “....incarceration.” Dash briefly stopped eating to see that Twilight was right about her friends not standing up and defending her.

“What was I sent to prison for?”

The mane five sat in silence. The truth was that they didn't even know what Dash was charged with. Even all of Equestria and the court didn't know what she was charged for but they still sentenced her to that wretched place. All of them sat in silence until Twilight spoke again.

“You weren't. You were sent out of jealousy.”

All eyes turned to Twilight as she continued her talk. “Seventeen years ago after you were sent away I went to Canterlot Castle to talk with Celestia about the trial. I was about to enter the throne room when I heard her and Luna talking from inside. Luna sounded disappointed at Celestia for something and Celestia was defending herself. I soon found out from Celestia that she was jealous of us for being more popular than her.”

“She believed that since we were popular with Equestria and have saved it more times than she has that ponies would want us to rule Equestria instead of her. So she used a hypnosis spell similar to what Chrysalis did to my brother and had you arrested. She used the same spell during the trial to make sure you guaranteed to be put away. But when Luna threatened to tell she put a memory wipe spell on Luna.”

“Soon afterwards I tried to find ponies to get you out of there. It took several years just to find the facility alone and afterwards I found the perfect team.” she finished pointing to Passion and her team who nopony noticed were still there.

“Passion is not only the captain of Lunas guard but is also her marefriend. Luna has watched over her ever since she was a filly so when she had the opportunity to be a guard she joined to return the favor. I went to her because she was upset that Celestia used the spell and her records showed she was top scoring during her training. She agreed and contacted her brothers Speedy and Vanderhoof.”

“Speedy is captain of the 274th Branch of the Equestrian Marine corps and was willing to serve under my order alongside his sister. Vanderhoof is their older brother who is top rank in the Equestrian Special Operations and is excellent in stealth and tracking. They mixed their skills to break in and set you free.”

After Twilight was finished Rainbow Dash got out of her chair and walked towards the trio. She looked at Passion anf outstretched her hand.

“Thank you. For saving me.”

Passion looked at her and gave a smile and shook her hand. “It's a terrible thing jealously. It can either be a blessing or a curse you'd have to live with. Remember to be careful on who is jealous around you.”

Rainbow smiled and accepted her advice to be careful around others. Speedy then stepped forward and looked at Twilight. “Princess. With your permission of course I would like to look after Miss Dash after you give her treatment for what she faced.”

Twilight quickly thought about it then gave her answer to the blue stallion. “Of course. But she will be staying here until she can be brought back into society. It'll take sime time with treatment and therapy but you will be able to watch and care for her.”

Speedy smiled “Thank you princess.” and walked back to his spot. Twilight then motioned for her friends to join her for dinner while Spike and Starlight went to have a room made for Rainbow Dash.

Later that evening

Twilight stood in the doorway of her spare room and watched Dash sleep soundly. She smiled knowing that her friend is safe but still disappointed with a certain white alicorn. ‘How could Celestia do all this?’ Twilight thought to herself ‘she is well respected among Equestrian society. Jealousy is something nopony would expect out of her.’

Somepony tapping her shoulder snapped her out of her thoughts only to reveal Passion looking at her. Passion was still wearing her uniform and spoke quietly. “should we prepare our coup?”

Twilight was regretfully planning for this. A coup on Celestia for what has happened was in effect in the first few years in case they couldn't find Dash and needed answers. But once Dash was found it still was in play but it was to make sure Celestia never did it again. “What's the plan of action Passion?”

The pegasus mare signalled for her to follow down the hall. Soon both reached the cellar of the castle to see Speedy and Van waiting there over a table with a map of the castle. Both looked up to see the two mares walk in and they all started to get to work.
“This will require stealth” Van said “Best option is at night because Passion can lower her guard numbers to our aid. Now we'll need a way to make sure she'll come…….peacefully.”

Speedy spoke up “There is a trick in the Marines where we use a disguised zipline to make it look like a pegasus flying. We can use that to carry her body to a transfer vehicle and back here. We'll have some…….equipment ready for her.”

Twilight looked it all over and nodded with each idea they had. She knew that eventually Celestia would find out about Rainbow Dash but she knew this was the best option to keep her friends safe.
