A Boy in an All Girls School

It was the weekend. Spike was out in the courtyard with his journal. When Twilight sat next to him and asked, "You have a journal?"

Spike closed the journal and said, "Yes. And it's private." he put it in his bag and walked off quickly, not noticing the journal had fallen out.

Twilight tried to call out to Spike, but he was already gone. She picked up the journal and said, "I'm sure there's nothing here I don't already know about Spike." She opened the journal and flipped to the first entry. "July 20th, 2004, Dad recently disappeared. He's been studying the multiverse theory since Topaz was a little girl. Mom's going crazy about his disappearance."

Twilight was confused, she'd met Spike's mother and father multiple times, what was this about? She continued reading, "July 21st, 2004. Mom's smothering me and Topaz. There's no helping her. Topaz thinks that mother needs therapy, but there's no shrink qualified enough to deal with our mother."

"July 22nd, 2004. I've made up my mind, I'm leaving. Mother will be furious, but I don't care. This isn't my home. I won't be one of them."

"August 1st, 2004. I've been living in this motel room ever since I ran away. I miss mother and Topaz, but I can't go back. Not after what I've seen."

"September 4th, 2004. I've stayed in this motel for as long as I could pay for. I was worried about living on the streets, but a nice couple fostered me. They may not be my parents, but they're the closest thing to it." Twilight was in shock. Spike ran away from home!? And the parents that she met were adoptive?

Spike finally noticed that his journal was missing and ran back to catch Twilight reading it. He snatched the journal from her and said, "How much... how much did you read Twilight!?" it was obvious he was angry, and hurt more than any words could hurt him. He didn't even wait for her to answer before going to his room.

The girls saw what happened and asked Twilight, "What happened?"

Twilight explained what she read in his journal and teared up. "I should never have read it! I'm such an idiot!"

Her friends tried to cheer her up, to no avail. As Spike came back into the courtyard, his face had a look of pure dismay. Spike walked up to Twilight and said, "Twilight, I'm willing to forgive you. On one condition."

Twilight wiped her tears and said, "Of course Spike, anything."

Spike turned his head as a girl with peach colored hair tied up in pigtails walked past them, along with an older woman with black hair in a ponytail. When they were out of earshot he said, "Don't say anything about what you read to those two... That girl is Topaz, my little sister, and the woman with her is our mother. I ran away for a reason. I don't want my mother realizing who I am. Say anything about what you read to them, and our friendship is over." before walking away.

Twilight stood in shock at the last part, he threatened her... She knew she deserved it though. She shouldn't have read his journal.

The Next Day...

It was Monday, back to classes. Unfortunately, Spike's first class was choir, with Ms. Faust, his mother. He walked to the auditorium and sat as far back as he could. He saw Topaz walk up to him and she said, "Hi there! I'm Topaz, I'm a new student."

Spike looked towards her and said, "Hey." and nothing more

Topaz said, "I have to admit, I'm a bit nervous being in my mother's class."

As the class started, Faust said, "Mister Drake, Topaz, come down closer to the stage." As the two came down, K-Dance walked in and Faust said, "Today, we'll be testing your singing voices. DJ K-Dance will be providing music for you to sing to. Mister Drake, you're first."

Spike got up from his chair and gave a CD to DJ K-Dance and said, "This is the music for a song I wrote myself. I have to sing this one... It's... important to me..."

As Spike grabbed the microphone and the music started, he began singing.

When Spike finished his song, the students cheered, but Faust didn't seem to approve of the song. She said, "I suppose rock and roll is popular these days, but it is not something I will have in my class."

K-Dance interrupted saying, "School curriculum on choir say that every student has to do their own genre project."

Faust looked through her papers, and said, "Darn it, you're right..." she sighed and said, "Very well, Mister Drake will be placed in the rock and roll group." She thought to herself, "Something is strange about that song though... I feel like I've heard it before... no, I must be imagining things."

As class ended, Topaz came up to Spike and said, "That was a nice song Spike... but, it seemed a little depressing. Did... did you run away from home?"

Spike got up and said, "Buzz off." before walking away. He wanted nothing to do with his sister or mother ever again. He probably shouldn't have sang that song, but the past is the past, and he can't take it back.

Topaz sighed dreamily to herself and said, "I do like bad boys like him... but I feel like I've met him before... must be my imagination."
