Oh, damn it. Think Discord. Think. What can I do to avoid- ah ha! Yes! Those pesky little ponies won't see this coming. I snap my claw and the world disappears into oblivion. I am now in the space between realities, but it isn't stable so I have to come up with a to go fast. Somewhere in Equestria, obviously, there is nowhere else to go. But where?? The Dragon Lands? Nah, I could go to Canterlot? It would be an easy way to dick over Celestia while I'm in hiding! Too easy though... hmm... The mountains? Though isolated, it screams Bride of Discord too much, so no thank you. Oh well, I'll just snap my paw and see where I go!
Sunset is once again late for class. Not that she cares though, one more year and she's out of here. She walks casually through the halls to her locker, 11,14,24 and grabs her math textbook and head to Mr. Doodle - Dandy's class. She opens the door and silently walk in. "Ms. Shimmer, is it?" she hears. Sunset looks up, not to see Mr. Doodle - Dandy but a sub. He has grey skin, einstein hair, and a goatee. His tweed jacket looks like a multi-coloured mess that she knows that Rarity would faint at. Same with his pants that has one brown leg and one green.
"Yes?" she asks.
"You are late on the first day of school. Don't let me catch you late for my class again," he says.
"I thought this was Doodle - Dandy's class, not yours," Sunset says, smugly. A few snickers can be heard in the room.
"Miss Shimmer. I am your calculus teacher. Mr. Doodle - Dandy is on an early retirement due to... medical reasons," He says, and turns to continue with calculus.
Sunset barely pays attention. Why bother? She has always gotten the highest grades in school, all thanks to be a magical horse prodijay to a magical horse princess. Or, pony rather. She smirks at the fact she used to hate when other species got the two mixed up, now she's doing the same thing. Then, the bell rings for her next class. Sunset walks down the hallways and gets greeted by the people she knows.
She came to this world when she was angry and disheartened. She didn't know where she was or who to turn to for help. That's when she met Fluttershy, and just like an angel, she took her under her wing and introduced Sunset to her friends. All six of them have been really close ever since. Coincidentally, her second period was drama with Pinkie and Rarity. The teacher, Mrs. Forehooves, is the chillest teacher in Sunset's opinion. She wouldn't have gotten mad if Sunset was late.
"Hey, Sunset!" Pinkie greeted.
"Hello, darling. How was Doodle-Dandy?" Rarity asks.
"Actually, it's this new guy," Sunset explains.
"New guy?" Pinkie asks.
"Are you girls talking about Mr. Acord?" Miss Forehooves asks.
"Is that his name?" Sunset asks.
"Didn't I hear you say last year that you're taking calculus?" she asks in reply.
"Yeah, why?"
"So, you should know his name," Miss Forehooves states.
"I was late," Sunset explains.
"Ah, well, that explains it," Miss Forehooves explains.
I have been teaching at this school for about a week now, and I've got to say, it is boring! Though, there are people here that make it not that. One is Sunset Shimmer. I love to pretend to be strict with her, her reactions are so much fun! I've been thinking of maybe taking her in as my student. Though, it might be tricky, saying as she was Celestia's student. Even though Celestia's magical residue is faint on this one, I can still smell Celestia on her. I don't know, this could be really fun! But she might turn out to be a huge stick in the mud like that Twilight character. Her friends might be a problem too, they look and sound like the ponies I met with that Twiglow pony. Who were they again? Apple Snack? Pink Pastry? Fancy Pony? Eh, it doesn't matter.
Tomorrow. Yes! That's when I'll do it! I'm going to have to see about the second one another time, but Sunset for now will be fine. I cannot wait.
Sunset wakes up for another Monday and she can smell the pancakes. Ever since they became friends, Sunset has been living with the Apples on their farm. It reminded her most of home because of the horses and fresh air. Even though she was born in Canterlot, the city in this world is way too crowded to be Canterlot back in Equestria. She walks down the stairs and get's greeted by the Apple Family, already eating. "Guys! You should have woken me up!" Sunset complains.
"I thought I did," Applebloom says.
"You did, I heard you. Sunset must have fallen back to sleep," Apple Jack explains.
"Oops, sorry," Sunset mutters.
"It's alright Sunset, come sit down, there is still lots here," Granny says.
They eat in silence. It's pretty typical for them though, even though Big Mac is the silent one, they all enjoy the silence of the mornings. They quickly finish up and the four of them still in school run up stairs to get ready. Apple Jack shares a room with Sunset and the other two have a room by themselves. "Those apple pancakes were so good! I love when Granny makes them," Sunset comments.
"What made you so late the first day of school?" Apple Jack asks.
"Geez, way to change the subject. I was meeting Flash at Star Bucks before class," Sunset explains.
"Oh yeah, I forgot you two started dating!" Apple Jack says.
"Well, we're not dating yet, we're just hanging out more," Sunset explains sheepishly.
"Uh-huh, and Big Mac never shuts up," Apple Jack says, rolling her eyes.
"Oh, shush you," Sunset responds.
They busy themselves with getting ready and then hop in Big Mac's car and the four of them drive to school. "Did you finish your homework last night? Sorry I couldn't help you like I said," Sunset says to Apple Bloom.
"Yeah, I got it figured out. Big Mac actually helped a little, don't worry about it too much, your chores are really hard and I wouldn't want to keep you from them," Apple Bloom explains.
"Really Big Mac? Thanks!" Sunset says.
"Eeyup!" Big Mac responds.
"You ready for the big assignment we're getting today in history?" Apple Jack asks.
"Oh, shi-shoot. We're getting that today? What did he say it was about again?" Sunset asks.
"Nice save, Sugarcube," Apple Jack says sarcastically. "It's supposed to be on our family history, you know, something easy to start the year. It's due sometime next month, remember?" Apple Jack explains.
"Yeah, I remember when it's due, I just couldn't remember what it was on," Sunset explains.
"Where do you come from?" Apple Bloom asks.
"Oh, would you look at that! Big Mac just pulled into the parking lot! Gotta get to class, bye!" Sunset says, awkwardly avoiding the question.
She should be arriving any moment with those Apple brats. Ugh. I hate waiting patiently. Especially when I can't magic my way into getting what I want. Sunset Shimmer had better be worth this. If she isn't, then I'd be seriously disappointed. Oh boy! Here she comes! ... as suspected she's with the Apple brats. Out of all the people here she could have started to live with, it had to be one of the human equivalents to the ponies who almost turned me to stone. How do I approach her? Hm... I know! *snap* there! Now no one can see me but her!
"Hello, Sunset!" I say.
"Ah!" is her reply. Quite rude, but I will try not to hold it against her.
"Allow me to introduce myself! I am Discord!" I announce as confetti falls.
"Discord?" Sunset asks.
"You okay, Sugarcube? Who ya talking to?" Apple whatever asks.
"Uh, yeah, I'm fine. Just give me a sec," Sunset explains. She walks towards behind the school where no one can see. Again, quite rude, but I snap my claw to be beside her.
"Maybe I didn't make myself clear," I say, slightly threateningly. "I have been watching you, Sunset. I know where you're from, I know who you are, and I am here to make you a deal," I explain.
"Wait. Discord. Oh no! You're him! The one Celestia warned me about! How are you here!?" Sunset asks, panicked.
"Relax, would you? I don't have time for this, I have a grade twelve calculous class to teach in fifteen minutes. Though, I'd be happy to be late if you hear me out," I explain.
"Wait, so you're not going to turn me into cheese or something?" Sunset asks.
"No! Now shut up and listen. There are some ponies back in Equestria that I'd like to get revenge on. But to do that, I'll need back up. I will teach you how to use magic in this world and to remaster spells you learned as Celestia's student if you help me take revenge on the ponies," I say. She looks at me stunned.
"Magic. Here? Is that even possible?" she asks.
"Stupid, Sunset Shimmer. Of course there is. Now hurry up and agree. You are just one of two I need to ask today," I say, crossing my arms in impatience.
"Wait, go back a second. Did you say, 'calculous'?" she asks.
"Yes!" I shout. "I am your teacher! How do you think I was supposed to get close to you without revealing myself before the time was right!?" I practically scream.
"Holy shit! Calm down, someone is going to hear you!" Sunset demands.
"Nope! No one can see or hear me accept for you. Now say that you'll be my apprentice!" I demand.
"Wow, you really want me to do this, don't you?" she asks, as if on purpose. Fire gets lit on my head with anger.
"Yes. Now agree before I change my mind and Cranky Doodle - Dandy comes back and no one will remember me," I say, trying not to shout and grinding my teeth.
"Alright, you have a deal," she says, holding out her arm so that I could shake it.
"Ew, I don't do hand shakes. I'll do this instead," I say, snapping my claw.
"What? Nothing happened," Sunset explains.
"Of course something happened. You are now indebted to me and only me. Of course you still have your free will, but anything I want, you will do," I explain. Surprise. That's all there is on her face. It's quite amusing to see, I will have to say the same thing to the other one. Oh, what was his name again? Asger?? I think that was it. "What a Chaotic Situation you're in, eh, Sunset?" I ask. She says nothing. Wonderful! "See you in class," I say with an evil smile. I snap my paw and leave.
"What have I gotten myself into?" she wonders.
"Hey, Sunset! You'll be late to class!" Rainbow calls.
"Be right there, Rainbow!" Sunset calls back. She walks towards the school in a daze and goes to her locker as if a robot. She enters class right as the bell rings and hears,
"I'm glad you're here, Sunset."
