//-------------------------------------------------------// A Blooming Meadow -by Poppy8- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Finding Sweet Song //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Sweet Song Ballad will be getting a bit of solo. Her singing voice is going to be this color. Finding Sweet Song It was the next day. And Blood Bones and Meadow we're going through Canterlot's resident records. They we're in the Canterlot archives. "So your saying this mare looks like that and her name is Sweet Song Ballad?" Blood Bones asked, "I don't know I've never heard of this mare." Meadow sighed, "Well I did she was very shy. And I mean very if you thought your brother was bad before he met us. Then you'd be wrong she's worse." She said. Blood Bones scoffed, "No offense to my brother but nopony could be worse than him." He said. "Worse than what?" A voice said and both Meadow and Blood Bones turned to see Timidthy and Sweet Dreams. They both had looks of curiosity. "And why are you going through the residents records?" Timidthy asked, Blood Bones bit his lip. "Well.......ya know......just talking about this mystery mare. And.....how she's was worse than you when you werent with Bumper, French Press and ya know Sweet Dreams." He said, Timidthy blushed before shaking his head. "I wasn't that bad." He muttered, "But I have her file." Everypony looked at Timidthy in shock, "Why?" They all said and Timidthy blushed redder. "I empathize with her and I was hoping to maybe talk with her at some point." He said rubbing his hoof onto the floor, "I had heard of her and seen her. And she always looked so shy.....but at the time I was too timid myself to even say "Hello" to her." Timidthy admitted his face growing redder as he felt small. Sweet Dreams kissed him and his wing's flew up on their own, Blood Bones laughed. "Nice wing-boner; brother." He said and Timidthy quickly forced his wing's to snap shut. He then pulled back and teleported a file into Meadow's hooves. Sweet Dreams wrapped her wing around Timidthy, she whispered something in his ear. "Su-Sure." Timidthy said shyly before Sweet Dreams led him down the hall, Meadow smiled. "Ya know they're very cute together." She said and Blood Bones nodded, "Yeah; so can I meet this mare?" He asked as Meadow went through the file and found what she was looking for. "Sorry but she wouldn't like that." Meadow responded, Blood Bones ears went back a bit. "Okay." He said, Meadow looked at her coltfriend. "What?" She asked and the colt sighed, "I just don't know. What if this mare is tricking you?" Blood Bones asked. A smirk grew on Meadow's face she walked over to her handsome colt and wrapped her tail around his waist. "How about I make it up to you? I could be open for tonight." Meadow said and this time Blood Bones's wing's flew up on their own, "Well.....I-I....a-and....." He stammered before his fillyfriend put a hoof on his mouth. "Just a nod; yes or no?" Meadow said and Blood Bones felt a strong compulsion to nod yes. This was his chance to finally make his dreams a reality. But his conscience told him not to his reasons we're selfish and he wasn't sure if Meadow was ready. Finally he shook his head no, he levitated the hoof off his nose looking ashamed. "I'm sorry but I'm not sure about that. Believe me I'd love it more than anything. But......I'm not sure if your ready I know you're doing it to make up for leaving me. But how about a date instead?" Blood Bones said rapidly, Meadow giggled. "Sure thing maybe when we're older." She said before kissing him on the cheek and handing him the file, "I'll be back here at nine." Blood Bones giggled before Meadow teleported away. He sighed smiling goofly, "Smooth." A voice said and he turned around to see Watch Dog. He had a smirk on his face, "Shut it!" Blood Bones said feeling his face heat up. Meadow was now on the outskirts of Canterlot looking at a log cabin; as she remembered what the file had said. Name: Sweet Song Ballad Type of Pony: Unicorn Past Jobs: None Occupation: None Age: 21 T.I.C. (Time In Canterlot): Fifteen year's Residence: Outskirts of Canterlot School Knowledge/ Diploma: Bachelor and BTEC (professional dance) Diploma Now there we're a few thing's wrong with this; if she had two diplomas of all things. Why hadn't she had a job even if it was a past one? Why werent business ponies pursuing her for a job? And why was she away from everypony? It just didn't make sense. Finally Meadow walked up to the cabin and knocked on the door. She didn't get an answer she waited for a moment until she heard. Calm and classical ballad music she pressed her ear on the door and she knew it was coming from inside. The music was relaxing like a lullaby it sounded like something her mom would play for her when she was a foal. She went into a trance listening to it until it stopped. Meadow wasn't sure how long she had listened before it stopped abruptly. Suddenly she heard hoofsteps until she heard a pad lock undo itself. Meadow hid on the other side of the cottage as the door swung open and Sweet Song came out. She was still wearing the same cloak as she slowly started to walk to town looking fearful. Meadow followed quietly behind as (unknowingly to anypony) slow music began to play. And Meadow sang in a hushed tone. I wanna know what your afraid of. Sure crowds are scary but you don't have to be so weary. It doesnt make sense, you have all the knowledge you have your mark as well. So why is it you hide yourself away? You're gorgeous! No mare would even stand a chance! But instead you hide; keep yourself inside and keep your talent at bay. Sweet Song kept her head down as her and Meadow entered Canterlot. Meadow was grateful as she could now use the crowds of ponies to cover her. While Sweet Song hated it as she sang at a near inaudible volume. The world is terrifying. I'm a hideous monster not deserving to be see. Ponies who used to know the filly who acted quite silly say I'm still as pretty. But I know the truth I hate myself for my looks. I'm worthless, don't deserve to keep living. Because the world taught me that this was and who I am. The music ended and Sweet Song fell silent again as she walked into the local mall. Meadow walked inside and pretended to be browsing the mall's wares. Making sure to keep up with Sweet Song; the mare was using her magic took roll the basket. While, at the same time, putting all sorts of food in her basket. She also grabbed some plum purple sparkling silk and grabbed an anything skirt. The skirt was very flexible and looked pretty durable as Sweet Song put it in her basket. Meadow kept going until she saw a ring of tranquility; the ring was made of sapphire. While the jewels on it was made of gold and ruby's, Meadow blushed and looked around. To be honest she had always wanted one, she quickly levitated the ring over to her. And ran to the nearest register. Unfortunately forgetting the mare she supposed to be keeping an eye on. Sweet Song sighed as she was about to walk to the register herself until she saw the most amazing thing ever. She gasped and sped up her pace while driving the basket. Finally she grabbed it; it was a pair of ballerina shoes. They we're colored amethyst as the soles we're made of hollowed out flexible wood. So that the soles would be able to make tapping sounds on wood, and stone of all kind. Sweet Song smiled and put it in her basket she was about to head to the register. As she turned around she felt something pull at her cloak causing her to fall. Her cloak fell off and she blushed a deep crimson trying to get it back on. But she was paralysed when she saw a black mare staring down at her. "Hello Bumbe Ballad. I was going to by all of that." The mare said her eye's glowing neon yellow as her hair was a deep crimson. Her cutiemark was a teddy bear with a price tag on it, Sweet Song gulped. "O-Of course." She said, "And I'm gonna need your bits." The mare said having an evil smirk. "Yes mam." Sweet Song murmured as her face grew redder every minute and her legs started to shake. She opened her cloak and it was revealed dozen of pockets we're inside. She opened one of them and levitated all her bits over, "N-Now it's that's all you need I-I'm going to leave." Sweet Song hurriedly said. "And I want the cloak." The mare said, Sweet Song paled. "Wha-What?" She asked, the mare chuckled. "I want your cloak." The mare said again with a venomous glare, Sweet Song sighed and hesitantly took her cloak off. She was about to hand it over. "Hey!" A youthful Britain accent cried out both mares turned to see Meadow. Who was holding a plastic bag with her magic. "What are you doing!? She then pointed an accusing hoof over to the black mare, "I'm just shopping. Silly filly." The black mare said. "Well it seems to me your stealing." Meadow retorted, "It's not stealing if she gives it to me. Especially when most of it isn't even hers in the first place." The mare argued getting annoyed with the filly. "I think you should just leave." Meadow said, and the mare chuckled. "And what are you going to do?" She asked before Meadow shot a beam from her horn. It striked the mare before she could react and she disappeared as soon as it struck her. She then levitated the cloak back onto Sweet Song who looked badly shaken, she tried to run from Meadow. "Wait!" Meadow said and she stopped for a moment, the filly pulled out her remaining bits and gave in to her. "For your stuff you can't buy anything without bits." Sweet Song used her magic to poke the bits and stared at them as if they we're a bomb. Once she was done she blushed and murmured, "Thank you." Before she sped off with her kart clutching the bits tightly. Meadow sighed in frustration. She now knew how hard it was to break through Timidthy's shyness in the beginning. //-------------------------------------------------------// Memories Of A Past Preformer //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note This music is the music that is playing as Sweet Song starts to think! I would make up my own music but I know nothing about ballad so going on you tube and looking for pretty is probably best. https://img.youtube.com/vi/0kcdlBkQrUE/mqdefault.jpg Memories Of A Past Preformer Sweet Song ran into her house and locked the door she then placed her groceries on the floor. She took the cloak off and placed it on her bed, she then walked to the kitchen. Sweet Song opened her refrigerator and she put her milk. Eggs, butter, carrots, watermelon, and apples in the fridge. She then closed the fridge and opened her cabinet as she put banana's in it. She then sighed and walked back to her second back, Sweet Song levitated the skirt and silk cloth over. She sat on the floor and placed the skirt on the floor. She grabbed a pair of scissors and cut out a ballerina shirt with sleeves. Sweet Song teleported a needle and thread over to her and she sewed it into one piece. She then levitated a pair of thin lavender tights over and stood up, she put the tights off and then the skirt. Finally Sweet Song put on the shirt and levitated the shoes onto her back hooves. Music started playing as she started to dance gracefully around the room. She closed her eye's as she felt herself relax and a memory came into her head. Sweet Song was a filly she was eight and she was still a blank flank. She was at the Canterlot dancing studio she. She was board until her eye's landed on a pair of ballerina shoes. Sweet Song blushed slightly and looked around. When she saw nopony was there she put the shoes on and looked at the floor. As it was covered in the dance steps routine the owners had for the day. Sweet Song nervously started following the motions eventually she actually smiled. She kinda enjoyed this, she continued until she was confident enough to look away from the paper. Sweet Song started to freestyle a bit as her dancing became less robotic and more fluent. Sweet Song was so busy she hadn't even realized she had gotten a bit of an audience. Finally she ended as she twirled three times and took in her surroundings. Sweet Song gasped slightly when she saw a colt was looking up at her in awe. She backed away thinking the colt would laugh at her. "That was awesome! You must be a professional!" The colt said and Sweet Song blushed, "I-I'm not a professional. This is my first time." She said and the colt gawked. Finally he smiled, "Well you'd certainly bring any professional to shame!" He said; Sweet Song blush brightened. "Wow I can't believe I'm really that good." She muttered and suddenly a bright flash came from her flank, she looked to see her cutiemark. Sweet Song looked at her flank and she squealed, the colt covered his ears but was still happy for her. "I got my cutiemark! I got it! I got it! I got it!" Sweet Song cheered much to the colts delight. Sweet Song stopped dancing looking broken as the music ended. She then sat on her haunches and started sobbing. As she heard voices ring in her head. 'Your probably the ugliest and worst dancer to walk the eath!' 'Ya know Chelsea is prettier then you'll ever be!' 'Seriously did a baby paint on you?' 'You don't deserve to be a dancer! Not even the other fillies hang out with you! I bet nopony would even miss you if you disappeared!' Sweet Song screamed and started sobbing hysterically. Meadow had just come from her date with Blood Bones and had decided to stop by Sweet Song's place. She ran towards the cabin and knocked on the door. She didn't get an answer and was about to walk off. Thinking that either Sweet Song was asleep or was too shy to answer the door. That was until she strained her ears and heard crying. Meadow put her ear on the door and she definitely heard crying. Meadow knocked on the door louder, "Sweet Song! Are you okay? It's me Meadow!" She said and the crying stopped. Meadow half-expected to wait for thirty minutes and still hear silence. But she was surprised when the door opened and she was stunned when she saw Sweet Song was in a ballerina costume. Meadow's eye's widened until she thought they we're going to pop out of her head. Suddenly Sweet Song wrapped her hooves around Meadow. And started sobbing again harder this time. Meadow was shocked beyond belief as she hugged back not wanting to be rude. "Thank you for being there for me!" Sweet Song blubbered, once the shock wore off Meadow realized something. A grown mare was clinging on her for dear life, while bawling her eye's out, while wearing a ballerina uniform. Meadow blushed she wasn't sure what to do about this, so she just hugged Sweet Song making sure she knew she was there. Fortunately for Meadow she stopped crying and let go, "Your okay?" Meadow asked. Sweet Song nodded wiping tears from her eye's, "I-I'm good now. Sorry I......I just.....I just needed to hug somepony." She said. Meadow smiled and she looked up at the starry sky in wonder. Suddenly her smile fell, "What's wrong?" Sweet Song asked quietly. "I gotta go home!" Meadow said and she started to gallop away, Sweet Song walked into her house and was about to close the door. But an idea popped into her head despite the fact every fiber of fear in her, which was a lot, was telling her to not to. She did anyway, she opened the door and cleared her throat. Meadow stopped and turned around, "Would you like to stay here?" Sweet Song asked shaking like a leaf as if expecting a nuclear bomb to destroy Canterlot. Meadow stared in disbelief, her brain was telling her that Cream Cake would need her. But her heart told her this was a one-time opportunity. And if she said "no" then Sweet Song might cruel up into her military grade, high security shell. Meadow nodded and she followed Sweet Song inside. And she smiled as she realized that she now trusted her. At least a little bit. //-------------------------------------------------------// Dance-Off Deal //-------------------------------------------------------// Dance-Off Deal During the week Meadow and Sweet Song began to hang out with each other more and more. Of course Sweet Song still wore her cloak when outside and was terrified of everypony. But Meadow knew this was just her personality and, maybe, after a while she'd outgrow it. After all Timidthy did so why couldn't Sweet Song. And today was no different as the two we're sitting in an ice cream shop. Meadow had vanilla with chocolate oats while Sweet Song had sugar cookie. "Ya know I could let you meet my friends they're really nice." Meadow said, "I don't know. How many do you have?" Sweet Song asked. Meadow was about to tell her how many but decided not to. "Nevermind. How about I let you meet my coltfriend Blood Bones?" She asked, Sweet Song looked as if she had told her Equestria was ending. "Your dating the Prince of Execution and Darkness!" She exclaimed, Meadow blushed. She and Blood Bones we're aware that some ponies we're scared of him. Not only for the hostile take over of Timidthy and Ponyville. But also because of his cutiemark some ponies thought he could become a murderer. "Yes but he's the brother of the Prince of Therapy." Meadow said hoping that her fear would die down after hearing that, fortunately she did. "Yeah I often feel bad for him I heard that at his party in Ponyville when he was only born just a few day's ago. A mad mare tried to make him give his own life for Celestia's." Sweet Song said and Meadow raised an eyebrow she had heard Timidthy mention it before. "Really?" She asked, and her friend nodded. Sweet Song took a bite of her ice cream while nodding but her blood ran as cold as her confection. As she saw a horrifyingly familiar black mare walk in. Meadow saw this and turned around and her eye's narrowed in hatred. As the mare was walking up to them with her own look of annoyance. "I thought they kept animals like you two in the zoo." The black mare said and Sweet Song blushed and began to shake. Meadow sneered, "And I thought they kept villains like you in tarturous." She replied. The mare looked over to Sweet Song, "Are you really going to let a filly defend you? Your pathetic." She said. Meadow growled, "At least I have the courage to unlike you who's so cowardly that she picks on someone who can't. You're a chicken." She replied and by then everypony had their eye's on them. The mare was growing infuriated as she rolled their eye's. "Well Sweet Song here probably learned to dance from chickens. Their clumsy, idiotic, and they smell." The mare said, Meadow looked the mare dead in the eye's and said. "Maybe the chickens learned from you." Everypony gasped and Sweet Song's mouth dropped, "I mean really I doubt you can dance." The mare stared at Meadow with hatred, "Yes I can!" She said and Meadow scoffed. "Sure you can. Then I'm sure you won't mind going against Sweet Song if you think she's so horrible." She said and both the mare and Sweet Song paled in fear. "Fine!" The mare said, "Good." Meadow said and the mare left in a huff but before she left she said. "Don't get so comfy I'll make sure the both of you forever fear the name Teddy Snare." The two we're now in Sweet Song's house and Sweet Song was pacing while Meadow watched from the floor. "I have to dance against Snare!" She exclaimed, "Sweet Song." Meadow said. "I can't believe it! I'm gonna have to move!" She continued, "Sweet Song!" Meadow shouted louder. But still she didn't seem to hear her, "Maybe I could play it sick forever." Sweet Song rambled, "SWEET SONG BALLAD!!" Meadow screamed at the top of her lungs. Sweet Song snapped out of it and looked at her, "Why are you panicking you have a ballerina cutiemark for Celestia's sake!" Meadow said. "Bu-But I have to dance in front of ponies!" Sweet Song retorted, "Okay maybe I shouldn't have lost my temper and made the deal. But you can always tune out the audience." She replied. Sweet Song whimpered, "Okay I'm sorry but you have a better chance. You can do this!" Meadow said. Sweet Song gave an unsure smile is anything she'd do it for Meadow. "Okay. But you have to dance with me. I can't do it on my own." She said and Meadow nodded, "How hard can it be?" She said and Sweet Song giggled. "It's a bit tricky but I'm sure I could teach you the basics by tomorrow." She said as she levitated a few pieces of paper in a dance routine on the floor. "Whenever there's a large section on the floor you jump and try to land as carefully as possible on the next one." Sweet Song said, Meadow smiled and started following the movements. But she either kept tripping, stumbling, or falling on her face. Eventually she got to her first jump and she jumped as high as she could go. She landed a bit off and her, left hoof twisted, "Ow!" Meadow screeched before Sweet Song caught her and bandaged up her leg. "You did.....well you did as good as most beginners do. You have to be gentle and quick. In some movements you just have to be gentle. How about we work on your twirling for now?" She said and Meadow nodded a bit of blush developing onto her face. "I hate this." She muttered and Sweet Song rolled her eye's and laughed she knew Meadow would get the hang of it.....eventually. And she was right the two worked until sun rise. Meadow had been able to get most of the moves we're right. And thank Celestia for that because in a few hours they we're gonna have to go against a egotistical mare. Who was no doubt furious and ready for revenge. //-------------------------------------------------------// The Breaking Point //-------------------------------------------------------// The Breaking Point It was the night Sweet Song dreaded her and Meadow we’re at the Canterlot Dance University building her legs shook as her trademark cloak was draped over her body. Meadow on the other hoof was excited. She was wearing a sapphire blue ballerina uniform with matching shoes to go with. Her hooves ached but Meadow chose to ignore it she needed to do this for Sweet Song! They walked into the building and sat on the edge of the stage. Sweet Song used her magic to shut the door. She then took her cloak off and it was reviled she was wearing a shimmering rainbow ballerina uniform. "After this is over I'm not going to walk for a week." Meadow said, and Sweet Song laughed. She remembered that when she was younger she often would work her back hooves until they blistered. "But seriously thanks for training me." Sweet Song smiled, "It was nothing. By the way are your parent's okay with this?" She asked. Meadow smiled sheepishly, "Actually I don't have any I live at the orphanage." She said and Sweet Song's eye's widened. This filly was helping her and spending time with her instead of looking for new parent's. "Well I guess that explains it you're a homeless wore!" A familiar voice said and the two looked at the door, they saw Teddy Snare as she was wearing a silver ballerina uniform. Meadow blushed, "A-Am not!" She stuttered. Snare snickered, "Yeah, sure, so what happened to your regular parent's? Did they die of disappointment when they first saw you? Or did they try to put you in a sack and throw you into Canterlot Harbor?" She continued now pacing around her victim. Meadow was now starting to cry as memories of her old life flooded back. "Leave us alone! We're here to dance not trash talk!" She retorted, "Of course Annie then we'll go find you a rich goofball that will slowly learn to love your hideous face. And will adopt you and be your new pathetic daddy! Just before he dies of humiliation realizing he just helped a charity case!" Snare continued as Sweet Song was frozen in shock and fear. "Ya know never mind you, along with all the orphan's and foster kid's, are worthless!" Until that moment. Before Sweet Song could even reconsider her actions. She bucked Snare into a nearby wall. Meadow gasped, she watched Snare got back up and her sister got on her right hoof. She started twirling on using her left hoof to slap her victim repeatedly. As memories flooded back into her mind. Sweet Song was a filly again as she was crying Snare was over top of her beating her and screaming. "You're a loser! You have not friend's! You have not family! And you don't deserve that cutiemark! You don't deserve to have anything!" And that was the last thing she remembered before falling into darkness. When Sweet Song woke up again she was home and she saw Meadow was surrounded by other kid's. And most shockingly of all Princess Celestia and Luna. Eventually one of them noticed she was awake. It was the Prince of Therapy. "What was it like? Did you just feel hatred? And please tell me you remember!" Timidthy said looking towards Sweet Song like she was a missing link. "Ummm......remember what?" She responded and she swore she saw some is the life escape the small colt, "Awww! You don't remember!" Timidthy wailed. "Told ya! She wouldn't remember if she wanted to!" Bumper cried out, "Sorry brother but unless all your rage bursts from you then you'll only know what it feels like." Blood Bones said calmly. "What's it?" Sweet Song asked, "Oh ya know the thing where unicorns and alicorns get so mad they're mane and tail combust. And their coat, and eye's change color." Meadow said walking up to the bedside. "Speaking of that you okay?" French Press asked, "Yeah you went crazy like Citrus did when she chased Timidthy through campus." Crepe said and Citrus groaned. "You guys are never going to let me live that down. Are ya?" She said and everypony nodded, minis Timidthy, who chuckled nervously. "Anyway. Ms. Ballad, I bet you have a lot of questions." Luna said, and Sweet Song nodded. "Well after she verbally insulted Meadow you went into a blind rage and started screaming while beating her. Meadow didn't know how else to calm you so she casted a sleeping spell on you. Snare is in the hospital with a few bruises and wounds but other than that she's fine. But to stop this from happening again we would like to recommend a restraining order." Celestia said, and Sweet Song nodded. The kid's then decided to leave the house as they talked, "Ya know she's pretty." Pummel said dreamily. And as much as the other colts didn't want to admit it; they thought so too. It had been a few days since the Sweet Song going nuts and beating up Snare causing a need in a restraining order thing and everypony who was anypony was talking about it. Heck it had even made it on all the news stations and on the first page on every newspaper and magazine. Right now Meadow was in her room as Cream Cake snuggled with her lovingly. Suddenly thought she heard noise in the hall. Meadow saw that colts we’re practically ready to pass out while the fillies looked green with envy. Finally whoever or what came to the door and Meadow’s eye’s widened. It was Sweet Song Ballad, without her cloak. Mrs. Onyx was right behind her as some of the fillies and colts crowded by the door. She looked so happy that Meadow thought he was going to explode. Sweet Song was calm but she had a small excited smile on her face. “Meadow would you like to be my daughter?” Sweet Song asked and every kid gasped while Cream Cake gawked, Meadow felt tears come to her eye’s before she ran up and hugged Sweet Song. “Yes!” She replied and everypony cheered. Mrs. Onyx pulled out an adoption form and gave it to Sweet Song. She happily signed it and Meadow sighed it as well. "Now I'll need time to get my house ready. But for now on you'll forever be my daughter." Sweet Song said calmly and Meadow replied, "Thanks mum." //-------------------------------------------------------// Sweet-Song Ballad //-------------------------------------------------------// Sweet-Song Ballad It was the first day of summer and Meadow was back at the orphanage just putting the last of her stuff up. She smiled as Cream Cake jumped on her back. He yipped happily; Meadow giggled and lit her horn and Cream Cake's throat glowed a bright purple. "Thank goodness your back! I hated you being gone for so long. I missed you! Plus.....I really don't like having my bedding changed by other ponies." Cream Cake said muttering the last part, Meadow giggled and ran her hoof through his fur. "Don't worry I'm only going to be gone for one more hour. Can you hold out until then?" She said and Cream Cake nodded, his face reddening slightly. She smiled before she teleported out of the orphanage and walked to the pet store. Meadow smiled as she looked up at the clear sky. All of her friend's we're busy unpacking and hanging with their parents. Since it was summer they all had plenty of time to sit back and relax. Suddenly she ran into a leg; Meadow snapped out of her thoughts and looked up. She looked up but only saw a figure who looked to be wearing a sapphire signature clock made by Sapphire Shores. Nopony gave the figure any mind probably because she was wearing fashionable clothing. The figure turned around but all Meadow could see was a horn. She couldn't see the figures face but she could see its shinning magenta eye's. "Who are you?" Meadow asked and the figure she saw the figure's eye's had dilated back in fear, it shook before running away. Meadow gasped she wanted to chase after the figure but that would direct attention. Meanwhile the figure was crying as it ran as fast as its hooves could take it. It ran until nopony was around finally it ran into a dark alleyway. The figure took in deep breaths as it sat on its flank finally a magenta light surrounded its clock and it took it off. It's hooves began clicking on the stoned alleyway in a ballad jazzy tempo. Suddenly a plum purple light flashed behind it and it turned around. It saw Meadow as she had her horn shinning as bright as possible. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to...." Meadow said trailing off as she stated at the figure in awe. It was a mare; her coat was the two colors periwinkle and majestic purple as the edges blended together. Her coat seemed to shine in the darkness. Her bottom left front hoof and her right back hoof we're covered in dark violet. With two small spatters of it going up the leg. Her eye's, flank, nose, and the tip of her horn had the same color as well. Her body was slender but wasn't ridiculously skinny like some mares. And her mane had a little cow lick on the top, as both her mane and tail was coloured gold and silver lines in it that shined and sparkled. Finally her cutiemark was a pony dancing wearing a ballerina uniform. She was the most beautiful mare Meadow had ever seen. "Mrs....you look-" Meadow said before she cut herself off as she saw the mare was crying, "Please don't hurt me." She whispered. Meadow's eye's we're wide in shock this mare was begging and crying for a filly not to hurt her. "Mrs! I'm not going to hurt you. You need to calm down." Meadow tried to reassure the mare as she walked towards her. "You chased after me." The mare said and Meadow resisted the urge to roll her eye's, "That's because you ran away from me. I was worried about you, granted I don't know you, but worried still." She said. The mare continued cry, Meadow then took a few closer until she was able to pet her mane. The mare jumped back slightly, "What's your name?" Meadow asked. The mare shook violently as if she expected to get his by a meteorite. "I-I-I'm.......Sw-Sweet So-Song. Sweet Song Ballad." Sweet Song said shakily, "That's a nice name. My name is Angelic Meadow do you want to get some cookies or something?" Meadow asked. Sweet Song looked up at her, "Maybe another time." She said before she put the cloak back on and ran from the alley. Meadow was half-tempted to see if Sweet Song was okay but she remembered Cream Cake needed more bedding, "Oh crap." She muttered before teleporting to the pet shop. Meadow ran into her room to see Cream Cake was on her bed. His face was red, "Where we're you!? Poppy came over and she smelled my cage! Do you know how awkward that was for me?" He asked clearly a bit ticked, "Sorry! I got side-tracked." Meadow said. Cream Cake took a deep breath and calmed slightly, "Just try not to put me in that position again." He said his ears lowering at the memory. Meadow nodded and went to cleaning her pet's cage, Later that night Meadow had just jumped into bed as Cream Cake was sleeping soundly in his cage. She pulled the covers over herself as she used her magic to turn off the lights. Meadow wasn't sure why but she couldn't stop worrying about that mare. Maybe it was because she had ran away, maybe it was because Timidthy had rubbed off on her. Maybe it was because of her personality and how she presented herself. But she was sure of one thing she would help Sweet Song. Meanwhile the mare in question was on the outskirts of Canterlot. Her home was a small log cabin; it was painted a citrus orange while the roof was painted a cream color. The window's we're covered with black blankets. While the door was painted brick red; she sighed as she unlocked the door. And walked inside quickly shutting the door behind her she then locked a pad lock and slide against the door. Sweet Song sighed, she hated having to even come outside.
