Vinyl Scratch's guardian angel

Sunday, 7 days to go:

In Vinyl and Octavia's house:

I slowly start to wake up and look next to myself, thinking, 'Why does Octavia never wait for me to wake up?' I looked to my bedside table and saw my cellphone which read, "2:45PM." I thought to myself, 'Bucking tartarus, that's why she's up.' I slowly got up from mine and Octavia's double bed, then stretched and popped my joints and released a loud yawn. "Aaaaaayhhhhh!" I hate getting up because I hate going to sleep, but I do it for Octy. I scratched my mane with my hoof then got on all four hooves, trotting to mine and Octavia's bathroom, which is connected to the bedroom. I turned the shower on to have my morn... I guess mid day shower. As I was about to get in the shower, I heard Octavia scream.

"Octy?!" I didn't care about the shower, I just ran to Octavia to see... her... fine? "Octy, are you okay?" I asked her with concern in my voice, slightly panting.

"Hah!?" Octavia must have been surprised to see me. "Oh, hello Vinyl, are you alright?" I just stood there staring at the most sexy mare in all of Equestria. 'I just cant believe I'm dating the most sexy mare ever.'

"Y-Yeah, I'm good Octy." I just stood there, staring at her, she's just perfect.

"Vinyl, I have bad news." The moment she said that, I was pulled out of my thoughts as I stared into the eyes of my marefriend.

"Octy, what's wrong?" I was terrified with the tone Octavia was using.

"I-I have to leave a week, now I swear on Celestia name I tried everything to take you with me, but I can't." She looks to the ground. "I am truly sorry Vinyl, I must be the worst marefriend ever!" I ran over and wrapped my hooves around Octavia, who started crying.

"I'm here for you, always will be. Did you forget how you have saved my life? Before I met you I was nothing, I was dead inside. But you made me alive again, without you I would most likely be dead-"

"Vinyl, you could never die! Not for any reason, you're my everything, Vinyl Scratch!" I started crying from that. Who would have guessed that somepony like Octavia could have fallen in love with a nothing like me?

"I'm nothing..." I whispered and was met with a hard, burning, smack across the face, and was then pinned to the wall, and with a furious glare, Octavia screamed.

"YOU ARE NOT NOTHING, VINYL SCRATCH! Ever since I met you, my life has been filled with so much love and care that I cannot repay it! You are the DJ-Pon3, the best DJ in Equestria, the same DJ who has released 3 gold platinum albums and my marefriend. My first and only lover, Vinyl Scratch, DJ-Pon3." After she finished with her speech, she gave me a warm smile and a quick kiss on the lips. "I love you, Vinyl Scratch." Hearing those words made my heart flutter in my chest and a slight blush spread across my face.

"I love you too, Octavia Melody." I love saying that, it me feel alive. "Octy, when are you leaving for a week?" My heart fell when I said that, I hated knowing that she'd be going to leave for a week.

"Um... 6:30PM." She said. 'Good, good. We still got 3 hours and 40 minutes,' I thought.

"Maybe we could do something together?" I asked, trying to make the most of our time together.

"Like what, though?" She does have a point though. Oh, I have an idea.

"Hey Octy, I can cook us a romantic dinner for two, just us, what do you think?" I've always been the cook for the two us, Octavia may not want to admit it. Because, I don't know, it messes with her proper mare look or something like that, but I don't think she can cook.

"Oh I would love that Vinyl." So, it was set, I would cook a romantic dinner for us two, but what to cook... 'oh, I know! I'll cook Lasagna (vegetarian obviously) and garlic bread, yeah it's simple to make.'

Moving to the kitchen cupboards, I got out all the stuff to make it

"Okay, when its done, we'll have 50 minutes to eat and do anything else after."

Later, when the food is done.

"OCTY, DINNER IS READY!" I called to Octavia from the kitchen as I looked at my hoofwork. Two plates of Lasagna and two pieces of garlic bread, red wine, sliver knives and forks and two wine glasses, all laid on a lovely white cloth. When I was done looking at that, I saw Octavia walk into the kitchen.

"Oh my, Vinyl, this is lovely." She says as she wraps her hooves around me. "You always do nice things for me, Vinyl, so many nice things." I love doing things for her because she gave me a life, she made me who I am today, and if didn't have Octavia, I might not even be here.

"Come on, Octy, let's eat!" When I said that, she let go of me. She always loved food, and sat down to eat and I did the same. I then poured the red wine in each glass.

"Oh thank you Vinyl." I shouldn't give Octavia too much alcohol as she can get drunk very easily, like, two glasses is enough for her, but I can hold my drink very well though.

"Octy, remember not to drink too much." I always have to remind her of that.

"Yes, Vinyl, I know, that's like, the millionth time you've told me." As we ate, I could only think of how I was going to be alone for a week, seven days. I have never been alone since I first met Octavia, she's helped me so much. I've never felt so loved, my parents never cared about me, I had a brother but he... well, hurt me. Badly. I don't think about that anymore, it's bad memories, but all my good memories have began since I've been with Octavia, so I will be with Octavia, no matter what. I will always be with Octavia... this week might be hard for me, but I must be strong for Octavia.

"Yeah, sorry Octy, I just care about you is all." I care too much, I really do think that sometimes... more like all the time.

"I know, Vinyl, I should be leaving soon, I am truly sorry Vinyl." a single tear fell from my eye.

"Its alright Octy, I'll be here when you get back." I give her a warm smile which she returned, then she grabed her cello and went to leave the house before stopping.

"O-okay, Vinyl Scratch, it's just a week, not long, you'll be just fine... I hope."
