"Wow Spike," Applejack grinned, "20 whole years old," she patted the dragon's head, "Your still no bigger then a Filly,"
Spike blushed. He was only filly sized because he was standing on four legs. If he got up on two he'd be Big Mac sized. He was pretty self conscious about how big he was getting. He still looked cute and cuddly but he had lost much of his baby fat. His tail had gotten longer to and dragged on the floor. He was growing up and as of today he wasn't even a baby anymore.
"Spike," Ember called from across the room, "We're ready for you,"
He gulped and hesitantly walked up onto the stage at the back of the room. All his friends and family were watching from below.
There was Spike's adoptive Big Sister Twilight of course, along with the rest of their family. Twilight's mom and dad, who liked Spike to call them "Grandma" and "Grandpa". His adoptive big brother Shining Armor, who long ago converted the little Dragon to the ways of nerddom, and his Alicorn family Cadence and Flurry Heart. Little Flurry was all grown up into a sensible foal.
Then there was the Council of Friendship, also known as the Elements of Harmony. Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy who were Spike's closest friends since he and Twilight moved to Ponyville. Along with their families who Spike was very close to. Especially AJ's big brother who had been Spike's Foal sittter for years. They played all kinda of games whenever Twilight left town. Things like hoof ball and all kinds of Tabletop games and boardgames.
Thorax and his kingdom of reformed Changlings were here, along with many of the Crystal ponies from the Crystal Empire. Even some of the Dragons from the Dragon Kingdom came. Even Discord and the Princesses were here.
Sadly Starlight Glimmer wasn't here as she kinda got herself sucked into the past with Sunburst when they were messing with magic they shouldn't have... okay so maybe Twilight's freak outs weren't as impossible as they seemed... Celestia assured them that they would be fine and historically were known by different names. Clover the clever and Starswirl the bearded... yeah 5 years later and Twilight was still freaking out about that... too bad they couldn't be here.
Well Sunburst was here... sorta. Spike learned that Sunburst not only grew up to be Starswirl but later became Discord himself when a transmutation spell backfired.
Discord and Spike had actually gotten to be good friends and often played together. Discord really was just like a big kid and he was doing better with the social interactions of mortals even though he still struggled with it at the time.
Enough about that though. Spike forced himself to pay attention at the task at claw.
Ember, leader of the Dragons, was standing on the stage with her royal scepter in hand. Today was a really big deal in a Dragon's life. On their 20th birthday they were supposed to go before a Draconic Cleric and prove themselves worthy of being a dragon.
Ember, the Dragon Lord herself, had come in place of the Cleric. It was a great honor generally reserved from Dragon nobility.
"Alright Spike," Ember whispered so the audience couldn't hear her, "All you need to do is roar for me,"
Spike gulped. He always sucked at roaring. He always just ended up giving a childish scream. Ember told him that was normal for baby dragons but now he was expected to give a real roar.
"Come on, give us a big roar, as loud as you can,"
Spike sucked in a breath and let it out. It wasn't anything like a childish scream this time. It sounded like the fierce roar of a lion, albeit a cub. It sounded nothing like a pony but a wild animal.
The entire audience cheered well the Dragons roared right along with Spike. Ember held up her claw and the crowd settled down.
"You are indeed a mighty dragon," She said in a booming voice that went across the hall. Her tone, though, sounded all formal and rehearsed, "Congratulations Spike Sparkle," a few of the Dragons snickered at his last name but stopped when Ember glared at them, "I dub thee, Junior Dragon," she gently touched both of his shoulders with the scepter.
All present cheered well the ponies stumped their hooves in celebration. Spike turned to them and smiled feeling like the world was his. They quickly moved on to cake and presents from there. He sat at the table, cutting up the cake for everypony, dragon, and Ling. He took the biggest piece for himself. Twilight rolled her eyes at him as she helped pass out the slices.
"Thanks for doing this Twi," Spike smiled.
"Well Ember told me that turning 20 was a really big deal for dragons and when she told me about the Ceremony I knew I couldn't let you miss out... Spike, I have a surprise for you,"
"Another one?" Spike perked.
"Yep, as soon as the summer is over I'll be enrolling you in School," Twilight cheered, all excited at the concept.
Spike blinked, "but you home school me?"
"Yes but Ember told me Dragons start school when they turn 20. Well actually it's called 'Survival training' but they learn reading and writing and mathematics and other rudimentary Academia. There's this big camp Junior dragons go to where they learn all about being a dragon,"
"You're... you're sending me away?" Spike blinked back forming tears.
"WHAT!? NO! I just find it fascinating, sorry Spike I didn't mean to get distracted. No see Ember told me it's okay to hire a dragon tutor for a private nest to teach you the survival stuff and I'll be sending you to The Ponyville Schoolhouse,"
"But... No offense Twilight but you've been teaching me book stuff since I hatched. I don't think there's anything for me to learn at School,"
"Course not, which is why I asked Doctor Whooves for help," Twilight smiled, "He got me one of those computers they use to educate fillies in spaceage civilizations. You'll spend your time at school working on that and only stopping for class participation stuff. Things like story time, lunch, snack time, recess, band, PE, labs, ect you'll do with the class but during regular study sessions and lectures you'll be reading by yourself and studying on the computer. It's how space fairing aliens are taught.
"Oh Spike, the things for you to learn from that computer, all well working at your own pace. By the time you graduate school you'll have multiple space Doctorates!" Twilight cheered, "You'll learn things about the universe ponies haven't even discovered yet!
"Be sure to thank the Doc. He's breaking all kinds of rules to let you do this. He did the same thing for his daughter Dinky when she was in school and look how smart she is! Besides he already showed us what's it like in space when we used to travel with him.. well future him but he knows he will someday so... Maybe giving you the computer is one of those Paradoxes he's always complaining about," she pondered.
Spike groaned, "Twilight, I'm 20. I'm waaaaaaaaay to old to go to school with a bunch of foals,"
"Well according to Ember you're still physically and emotionally a child," Twilight dismissed, "A VERY young child. And I think she's the expert on this stuff,"
Spike groaned.
"Spike your not a baby anymore but your not a grownup either. You're not even a teenager yet. You're a kid and kids go to school,"
Spike sighed, "Fine I guess but couldn't you have given me a nice surprise like a new comic book?"
"I haven't given you your present yet," She handed out the last slice of cake and got over to the stage again, "Come on Spike,"
Spike blinked in confusion but followed her.
"Everypony," She yelled so they could all hear her, "I have a special gift for Spike today," She pulled a box from the presents table and handed it over.
Spike grinned and eagerly opened it. He blinked when he saw what was inside, "Twilight?"
Twilight smiled then looked out at the audience, "Long before I became the Princess of Friendship Spike has been there for me. Always helping me as my number one assistant, but he's so much more then that. I adopted him when I was just a filly. He's my ward and precious little brother. So now, on the day he takes an important step to dragon kind on his road to adulthood, I Princess of Friendship do hereby name him the Prince of Ponyville!"
She pulled out the crown from the box, "It's enchanted to grow with you," she whispered as she put it on Spike's head "So no matter how big your reptilian head gets you'll always be able to wear it" she assured before going back to yelling, "All hail Prince Spike," then bowed.
All the ponies quickly bowed well the other raced did so more hesitantly. A little confused as to what was going on.
When Twilight got up, "In honor of this day I will be setting land aside in Ponyville and using it to open up an official Dragon District within our boarders. All dragons may feel welcome to live in the City State of Ponyville,"
A few days after the party Fluttershy went to visit Discord in the Chaos dimension. She smiled happily as she brought the tea and Sandwiches in a picnic basket. She wanted to surprise him. He popped in on her unexpectedly all the time so she didn't think he'd mind.
She went up to his door in the floating chunk of rock and knocked.
She heard Discord's voice from inside yell, "Screwball can you get that? Daddy's busy,"
Before Fluttershy could process that the door opened wide. A little purple filly stood before her wearing a pony propeller hat. She had a cutie mark of a baseball and a screw but that wasn't the weakest thing. What was really strange were her pupil-less eyes with bizarre spirals.
Before Fluttershy could comment the filly yelled, "Dad it's that weird pony from the picture frame,"
"Which Picture frame?" Discord called back
"The one by your bed,"
There was suddenly a shattering sound and Discord appeared in a flash of light at the door.
"Fluttershy!" He exclaimed nervously, "What brings you here?"
Fluttershy forced herself to smile, "I came to surprise you, like you often do for me,"
"Oh that's... that's great. Did you bring the cucumber sandwiches?"
Fluttershy nodded, "I know they're your favorite,"
"Right..." Discord forced a smile before looking at his filly, "Screwball do you mind setting the table?"
"Sure dad," the filly ran out the door and into the garage.
Fluttershy wasn't even going to question it. Instead she looked at Discord and asked a different question. A very important question, "Why didn't you ever tell me you had a daughter!?" she said in a quiet hiss.
"You'd think the obvious answer would be that I didn't want you to know,"
Fluttershy gaped looking... hurt.
Discord sighed, "It's not like that Fluttershy. I don't mind YOU knowing but you'd naturally want to tell your friends and then they'd tell their friends and soon it wouldn't be long before all of Equestria was demanding my little girl be turned into a statue just on the off chance she'd be anything like I was,"
Fluttershy's eyes softened, "Discord that could never happen. Every pony has forgiven you a long time ago. Even if they hadn't nopony could blame your daughter for what you did,"
"Of course they could. Not everypony is like you Fluttershy. Ponies are very judgment creatures. They never gave ME a chance before you. Why should I expect better for my daughter,"
"Because she'll have us," Fluttershy insisted, gently taking Discord's paw in her hooves, "We'd never let anything happen to her. We're your friends Discord,"
Discord sighed, "I don't know Fluttershy,"
"Trust me, keeping her locked up here is bound to do more harm then good. She need friends. Maybe you should enroll her in school with Spike. Is she old enough to go to school?"
"I'm not sure... She hasn't exactly aged since I created her. Not that she can't but time really has no meaning here" Discord shrugged, "I created her soon after I first escaped from my stone prison,"
"That was over 10 years ago!" Fluttershy gaped, "How can that be possible! She looks like she's 6 at most!"
"Time, meaning, none," Discord dismissed, "She was my backup plan in case I failed taking over Equestria. I ripped off a piece of my soul and sculpted it into an Earth Pony, that way she would be able to blend in. She actually is an Earth Pony. She just has my chaotic powers,"
Discord chuckled, "When I first made her she was so full of mischief. She was running around manipulating physics to the best of her little abilities and declared a prank war on a group of traveling adventurers. They didn't find it so funny but she was a delight.
"It was hard on her when I got petrified again. She tried to free me but was discovered by Celestia. Our dear Princess sun butt took her in for a while, and then freed me so I could be reformed,"
"For your daughter," Fluttershy realized.
"She always did have a soft spot," Discord grumbled, "Well my plan ended up working even if it wasn't... exactly as I imagined,"
"I'd say it went better then you imagined," Fluttershy insisted.
"Well I'm not ruling the world, am I?"
"Discord!" Fluttershy gave an exasperated groan, "I know for a fact you're much happier now then you ever were ruling over anything,"
"I suppose," Discord grunted.
The stayed quite for a moment before Fluttershy spoke, "Is she getting along with the other Draconequus cubs?"
Discord sighed, "In all honesty... no... not really. You're average Draconequus is usually no more skilled in magic then Twilight or Starlight. I'm a god to them, probably because I actually am a Deity. What with being the Spirit of Chaos and all," he pondered, "They fear me just as much as ponies do. So naturally the cubs are scared of my spawn as well. As a Demigod she's much more powerful then they are and those that don't fear her they reject her because she's a Pony... do you really think School will help her?"
"Where else could she meet friends?"
Discord just sighed. He opened his mouth to say something when a voice called from upstairs.
"Dad! Where are you? I finished setting the table ages ago!"
"Coming Screwball," Discord smiled fondly. He floated further inside and Fluttershy followed him. The stayed on the bottom floor even though they heard Screwball call from upstairs.
"But She went into the garage," Fluttershy blinked.
Discord chuckled, "Oh my dear Fluttershy. It's adorable that you can only think in three dimensions,"
They wandered into the kitchen and found the table on fire.
"I set the table daddy," Said the little filly all pleased with herself.
"Thank you my adorable little abomination," Discord smiled
Fluttershy sighed. The little filly was DEFINITELY Discord's daughter.
Olivander Octavius Pond, Stood on the balcony looking out at the singing towers as the sun began to rise. He'd never seen the sun before, only in movies. The lights were beautiful but they also strung his eyes. The reds and oranges peeking out as the towers continued to sing.
He'd grown up all his life on Darillium, listening to the towers singing. They lived in a hotel in front of the rock formation of the towers.
The owner actually owed his entire fortune to his father. It was one of Dad's stories about his adventures through space and time. Such ridiculous fanciful stories that no sane person would believe. The type of stories that were so absurd they could only be true.
Olive's mother was just as extraordinary. She was a human woman named Melody Pond but the universe itself knew her by a different name. She was River Song, the famous archaeologist and scoundrel. She had a Time Agent Class which let her manipulate the fabric of time and space. It also slowed her aging to a crawl. Typically humans die of old age within 10 Galactic Standard years but she was still relatively young at near 300.
Dad stood beside her watching the sunrise. Dad was another story entirely. He was a creature that rightfully shouldn't exist. A creature from fables that echoed the galaxy. From a race without a planet, which never evolved into existence, yet lived in small caravans throughout the galaxy as Gypsies.
Time Lords, a race of illogical beings that could manipulate Time and Space, were powerful Telekintics, could read minds with a simple touch, and could most importantly never die. A Time Lord was like the Phoenix. Each time they die they got a new body with a new face, only in the case of a Time Lord their appearance varied a bit more. Time Lords can look like any sentient species of the Galaxy. It was a result of being creatures so closely linked to the flow of the universe.
Olive's father, Alex, was one of these creatures. Alex might seem like an ordinary name for such an extraordinary man but you had to hear his whole name, Alexander Macedon. He was more commonly know as Alexander the Great.
Now Olive didn't know how most children were supposed to act when their father tells them he's a time traveling alien who also happens to be one of the most important and beloved conquers in human history. Did Olive believe him? A better question would be, Why wouldn't he? The more outlandish story was how his father also claimed to be none other then the Doctor. The champion of the Universe itself, savior of every star system in the galaxy at least once. Stories of the Doctor were even more wide spread then that of Alexander the Great.
Did Olive believe him? Well he'd be foolish not to considering every weekend since he was 1 his family took a trip in the TARDIS to some remarkable planet at some remarkable point in it's history... some of these cultures outright worshipped his father as some kind of benevolent god or divine spirit. Strange considering he was usually considered the god of lies.
Olive was only a 4th Time Lord himself as his father was half human. It didn't really matter. His Time Lord magic overwhelmed his DNA. He was as pure blooded a Time Lord as any other as a result.
Olive's first face, his current face, didn't look human at all. He was some kinda miniature Equine. He had a light orangish brown coat of short soft fur and small wings of blue feathers. His mane and tail were the same blue and cut in a short boyish style. He could always be found wearing his large round glasses and his saddle bag (enchanted to be bigger on the inside by his father).
He had something called a "Cutie Mark" on his butt which showed off his 'special talent'. It was a red triangle with an exclamation point in the white center. It was a spoiler warning as he was good at manipulating Paradoxes.
When he got his Cutie Mark his dad did this amazing Ceremony for him. It was a Time Lord traditional that actually had no connection to Cutie Marks. It was a right of passage though, where a Time Lord choses their name. It cloaked his real name as a secret that may only be spoken among family or other Time Lord's. The name was a promise, a statement of who they strived to be.
Never cruel or cowardly, never give up, never give in, that is what the Doctor meant.
Olive chose his Time Lord name to reflect himself just as his Father had. He was the MetaGamer, master of Paradox manipulation... it kinda irrationed his dad that he liked to play with time like that but Paradoxes were unavoidable for Time travelers so why shouldn't he manipulate it to his advantage. He was always extra careful not to do something universe shattering.
Today was an important day in the realm of Paradoxes... a sad day.
"I don't think I've hated a Sunrise more," Mom smiled a truly fake smile with not an ounce of merriment. Still she handled herself with dignity, as she always did.
Olive blinked when he heard it. The wheezing groaning of his father's time machine but daddy was standing right there. The wind picked up and the blue police box faded in and out of existence until finally becoming stable. The doors opened and out came a Chestnut pony with an Hourglass Cutie Mark.
Olive had no idea why but he felt like he knew who this pony was. He recognized him despite never seeing him before, "Dad?" the young colt blinked before looking between his Bipedal dad and the pony dad.
The old man sighed, "It's time then,"
The pony, "I'm sorry but yes. Time for Meta to come with me,"
Olive's gulped.
River sighed, "Looks like our happy little family is being broken up,"
"Not forever," The pony tried to explain.
River smiled, "Spoilers," before pulling Olive into a hug, "The night is finally over, this is where we all part ways. Is your trunk packed?"
"Yes mummy," Olive sniffed, hugging his mother tight and not wanting to let her go.
His dad walked over and ruffled his hair, "You be a good boy for my future self. If you aren't I'll know," he joked.
"I will daddy," Olive promised and, dispite knowing his dad wasn't a fan, gave him a hug.
The Pony Doctor used his telekinesis to pick up Gamer's trunk which sat off to the side, somehow knowing it was his, and brought it inside his TARDIS. Meta gulped but trotted into the pony's TARDIS and tried to catch one last glimpse at his parents as the doors closed.
The pony Doctor smiled again, "It's good to see you again Meta. I've missed you," He tried to give the colt a hug but the boy backed away.
The Doctor pony sighed, "It's me Olive. It really is,"
"I know," The colt assured, and he did. Part of him was instinctually aware this pony was his dad but the different species was tripping up his human logic.
The Doctor smiled, "No you don't, not really. You've never regenerated before so you don't know what it's like. I'm still me, even though my face has changed... I just like hugs now,"
"You... you do?" Meta eyed and yelped and the pony Doctor pulled him into a hug.
"I do... I missed you so much. It's been forever since I got to see you as a kid. A real kid I mean, not one of the many times you simply regenerated into a toddler,"
"I WHAT!?" Meta yelped
"Sorry Spoilers," The Doctor grinned.
Meta pouted.
"Come on, let me introduce you to the rest of our family,"
The pony Doctor broke the hug and went over to the console which was now pony sized with large buttons for hooves. Meta watched as the pony Doctor clumsily pushed a few buttons at seemingly random.
"Maybe I should drive," The colt offered.
"I don't care what your mother says, You're not driving my TARDIS until your at least a thousand," The Pony Doctor repeated something Meta's dad said a lot.
"But mom taught me how to drive," Meta insisted, with his usual line, "And after 12 hundred thousand years you still haven't figured out how to unlock the parking brake,"
"Pffft, of course I know how to unlock the Parking brake,"
"Where is it?" Meta eyed
"Hummm.... Don't question your elders.... and it's 360,092 years now thank you very much... I think... Hard to keep ages accurate when time travel is involved. Point is I'm older then you so I know what I'm doing,"
"Suuuure," Meta hesitantly smiled, yep this was definitely his dad.
Dad pushed one last button (that accidentally turned off the life support but the TARDIS automatically switched it back on). Then pulled a leaver. The whole room began to shack and the small, bigger on the inside, box materialized out of existence.
They reappeared in a broom closet. Opening the doors the TARDIS was fit snuggly in a closet well leading out into a colorful house.
"See!" The Doctor grinned stepping out well carrying Meta's bag in his Telekinesis, "I told you I was an excellent pilot!"
"Doctor!?" a female Pegasus peeked her head into the living room. She was gray with a blonde mane and bubbles for a cutie mark. Her amazing eyes were looking around in opposite directions until they spotted the Doctor. She sighed, "Doctor don't tell me you got lost again,"
"Eh?" Dad blinked.
"You've been gone for 3 months,"
The Doctor blinked well Meta started to giggle.
"Oi cut that out!" The Doctor demanded.
"Is this MetaGamer?" The gray Pegasus asked with a sweet smile, "High I'm Ditzy Do. I guess I'm your step mom,"
"Step mom?" Meta blinked, "You're... you're not with Mom anymore?" he hesitantly asked his dad.
"River and I always had an open relationship," The Doctor shrugged, "We both have several husbands and wives but I'm currently devoting myself to Derpy,"
"Derpy?" Meta blinked.
Ditzy smiled, "The Doctor's nickname for me, Derpy Hooves. It's a bit insulting but he means well. Besides that makes him my Doctor Whooves,"
The Doctor grinned, "Where's Dinky?"
"She left on a Mission from Princess Twilight,"
"Who's Dinky?" Meta blinked
The Doctor sighed, "I wanted to keep this a surprise but if she's not here right now," then he grinned and pulled a picture off the shelf of a Unicorn, "This is Dinky Do. Your little sister, well technically she's older then you by almost 2 decades but you were born first. She just turned 23 not too long ago and is one of the Apprentices to The elements of Harmony. They were chosen by an ancient map to go on quest all over the planet,"
"Wow," Meta awed.
The Doctor nodded, "You'll meet her when she gets back. For now, let's get you to your room and Unpack,"
"You might not have time for that, school starts in one hour,"
The Doctor gaped, "An hour!"
"Be thankful he didn't miss his first day of school entirely. You're really pushing it Doctor,"
The Doctor began pushing them out the door "Hurry hurry, come on let's go!"
"It's a ten minute walk," Derpy rolled her eyes. The colt might not have enough time to set up his room but he had more then enough time to get there.
59 thousand years in the future
The 12th Doctor and River Song sat on the Balcony looking out at the sunrise. It had been 28 years since they last saw the sun... it really was the most horrible sight he'd ever seen.
"Guess It's time for me to go to," Said River as she stood up.
"You know," The Doctor started, "The day I first met you... was the day you died,"
She froze.
"I didn't trust you at first. A woman from my future who knew everything about me, waving around my screwdriver, and kept blurting out spoilers... but then you did something that left me no choice but to trust you. You told me my own name... I knew. In that instant I knew exactly who you were... and it terrified me.
"Then I began to see it. How amazing you were. How noble and strong... how ruthless yet kind. I saw exactly what made future me fall in love with you. I had other wives and even more after we married but I never told any of them my name. You were special. Someone I could give myself over completely... and then you died... saving me... and a few billion other people. It made me terrified of you. I tried to keep my distance after that but you kept popping up and...
"Everything you are River, dispite knowing how much pain you would bring me. I couldn't help but fall in love with you,"
"Should you really be telling me this," River said in her calculating way when she was faced with things she didn't want to deal with.
"Yes... because it never happened. MetaGamer is obsessed with manipulating Paradoxes... he saved you... and... what happens next is so much worse. You'll have to learn and face terrible things... you'll have to see our son die,"
River's body went rigid.
"I can't save him. I never could but it's not happened for you yet. You can still stop it. You can still save our boy,"
River immediately pushed a button on her Vortex Manipulator and disappeared in a flash of light.
The Doctor wait... and waited... but nothing changed. The past still happened exactly as it always did. He sighed.
He remembered it, the Time war. It didn't happen like it first did. MetaGamer saved his mother, created a Paradox so great it shattered the universe and made all moments happen at once. Including the Time War. It raged in a fractured universe, erasing so many worlds from ever existing.
Meanwhile their son, cursed with a half life, raged across the stars destroying even more. It was the Doctor's fault.
He didn't know, not yet, what exactly happened but he knew the boy was kidnapped by Torchwood at a young age. He was trained as a weapon against the Doctor, beaten, treated as a slave. Until he escaped and began his rampage across the universe.
The boy hated what he was though and wanted to change it. He saved his mother then, after the Time War began, helped her free his younger self from Torchwood. The Doctor's first face appeared during this. He had been tracking what caused the universe to fall apart.
Together the three of them saved a 13 year old MetaGamer from Torchwood... and by doing so they wrote the cursed MetaGamer out of existence. The boy effectively killed himself to give younger him a better life.
And the boy grew up from their, happy and healthy but he kept regenerating back into children. The Doctor believed it was a defense mechanism to help him cope with Torchwood. He had lived under their thumb for years.
The boy kept regenerating as kids and kept coming back to the doctor. Most of the Doctor's faces got to have the Time Tot in their care.
The Doctor remembered the Paradoxes and time ruptures from both before and after the Time War. Time Lords minds were meant to process the flux of history so he remembered all possible futures and pasts. Their minds were able to cope and sort through what was the current timeline pretty easily.
The Doctor sighed. Even with that he couldn't get over the fact his son effectively killed himself so that another version of himself could have a better future... all because the Doctor failed to take care of him, failed to save him, and so did River. He probably got caught up in saving young Olive she didn't realize the consequences of what Future MetaGamer was trying to do... he certainly hadn't back then.
The Doctor sighed again. Olive was fine now. He had lived a good life for the most part, and that life would never have happened if it wasn't for Torchwood and the Time War.
In the fractured universe all the Doctor's joined together and prevented the Time War from ever happening by casting Gallifrey and Skaro into a pocket Dimension when the planets first formed. They were cut out of the Galaxy's history completely so the Time War never happened. Doing that got the Doctors to reboot history and get time flowing again. It was a hard ordeal and even though the Time War never happened it was whispered about throughout the universe as evidence of scars still remained. Many planets were permanently lost and many species displaced.
The Doctor sighed yet again. Nothing changed. All that happened and un-happened still occurred in the same order. At least he knew Olive would grow up safe.
Ponyville Present
The Pony Doctor smiled as MetaGamer ran around him. All excited to go to school with other children. He'd been homeschooled his whole life up til now and never had any friends his own age. Well it was time for him to meet a very special friend.
Derpy smiled and whispered in his ear, "Wow Doctor you look even more nervous then your colt,"
The Doctor nervously grinned, "Am not," getting a chuckle from Derpy, "Thank you for letting me bring him home,"
"He's your son. I'm not about to close my doors to him. Not his fault his dad's a horny toad,"
"D-Derpy!"
"I'm kidding Doctor. Just promise you'll at least wait until I'm dead until you marry anypony else,"
The Doctor grew quiet, "That's not funny Derpy,"
She sighed, "Hey, I got a good 500 years left in me. Enjoy the time we have together and remember your promise. Don't dwell on me when I'm gone. You'll still have River, Captain Jack, Tick Tock. They'll be there for you and I know you love all of them to,"
"I love you all in different ways but you can't replace each other either Derpy,"
Derpy sighed, "Still... I don't like the idea of you using my death as an excuse to shut yourself off,"
"I won't," The Doctor reluctantly promised.
Derpy nodded before looking at the foal again, "He's just as hyperactive as you described Doctor,"
The Doctor smiled at the distraction, "He's a handful, no hoof-ful. No hands, no fingers either... hehe hoof-ful,"
Derpy shook her head but deep down she was pleased she was able to distract him.
"Come on mister great King of Geese,"
"It's Greece, I was King of Greece," The Doctor pouted.
