A purple alicorn sat on the roof of one of the numerous towers, this tower had a gold roof. She could see ponies partying all over equestria, she sighed when she remembered why they were celebrating. The festivities were all for her,but she didnt want any of it. This couldn't be her destiny, this couldn't be what her cutie mark was telling her.
She looked down at her friends all celebrating. Everypony was dancing with the exception of Spike and Rarity, with the former trying to get the latter to dance with him. This brought a smile to her face, Spike was like her son and she loved and raised him with some help from celestia.
"Princess Celestia! She can help me!" Twilight screamed with joy which caused her wings to fly up. "Aaah!! Wings down" she said, Twilight still couldn't get use to her wings and could barely glide.
"You alright sugarcube? Do you want me to come up?" Applejack asked from the balconey below.
"I'm fine Applejack, I'm coming done right now" yelled Twilight, she climbed down carefully on to the balcony below.
"You sure your alright sugarcube" asked Applejack with a concerned look on her face.
"I'm fine Applejack, do you know where the princess is?" Twilight said, but before Applejack could respond or protest. The pony in question had suddenly appeared.
"Come Twilight, I'm sure you must have questions" spoke Princess Celestia sternly, Twilight walked quietly behind Princess Celestia, unsure of what to say or ask. Would the princess even answer the questions swirling in her mind or would she refuse, leaving Twilight in the dark again.
After walking into the Princesses section of the castle. Twilight started sweating, the last time the Princess had brought her here was when she was a small filly and had made a mistake, which the Princess comforted her saying that everypony made mistakes.
Twilight swore to never go to Princess Celestia chambers again, because if she did it meant she had made a mistake or done something wrong. As the futhered down the corridor which lead to Princess Celestia room they passed Princess Luna room, which had a Moon to symbolise who it belonged to, and they finally arrived at the Sun room.
It had been many years but Twilight never had forgotten how the Princess decorated her room. There was a massive bed in the center of the room and she had a small table which had a tea set on top, she had decorated the room with many priceless articfacts that must have thousands of years old such as a book from starswirl the bearded and a painting made by Luna. The painting was very beautiful and had the two sisters side by side, happy.
"Twilight?, What troubles you?" asked the Princess in a soothing voice, as she began making tea. While the Princess was doing this Twilight took a seat at one of the chairs next to the small table.
"Princess have you or Luna ever not wanted to be an alicorn" Twilight asked in a small voice, The Princess continued to make the tea as if they were talking about nothing important.
"It is the most difficult thing a pony can ever face, living forever ruling forever watching everthing fade away and having to stay strong for your kingdom but I am positive you can do it Twi--"
"NO! I mean sorry for interupting I mean NO! I can't be a alicorn, I have always done whatever you asked and wanted to be you but this time I refuse, the cost is too great. I won't watch my friends and family died like you have, I always wanted to be like you but if this is the cost. So without or without your help I am going to turn immortality into mortality no matter the cost and if my destiny and cutie mark is the only thing stopping me then I will swap my cutie mark and destiny with someone else who deserves it" Twilight screamed, she was ashamed she had yelled at Princess but she had to make her point, she did not need the Princesss blessing for her own life.
After Twilight speech, silence consumed the room the room and no noise could be heard except for a spoon clinking against a teacup, mixing the tea. "I'm sorry. Twilight I never wanted any of this to happen to you, but now it is time that you learn of the truth. My duties are much more then raising the sun and leading ponies. I was given a much bigger responsiblity, to protect harmony and the only way to do that is if everypony follows their cutie mark" spoke Celestia.
"What if I do not want to follow my destiny?" Asked Twilight as she stood up from her chair and slowly edged away from the back of the of Princess Celestia.
"I'm sorry Twilight but I will do what I must just as I did with Luna. Prehaps a Thousand years of isolation will calm you down as well" No I won't give in, I can't be seperated from my friends. This was the last thing that Twilight remebered before it all went black.
"How could this happen? Princess Twilight was a Protector of Harmony would she try to destory Equestria" "It was announced by Princess Celestia, Princess Celestia would never lie to us"
Spike wanted to scream and yell, that was his mother they were talking about with such disrespect. Twilight had given everything to Equestria she would never betray her friends and family. He quickly read the article again......
PRINCESS TWILIGHT FALLEN TO DISHARMONY
As Everypony knows yesterday was the Coronation of our newest Alicorn Princess Twilight Sparkle. It was reported by many witnesses that our newest princess acting very strange throughout the entire event and had disappeared throughout the majority of it. One Witness our very own Prince Blueblood claimed that commoners should never be made royalty as they are not worthy of the crown. He also claimed to have seen Twilight praticing dark magic during her younger years, when she lived in the castle, and was a worshipper of Discord and Disharmony. Was the our warrior of Harmony truly a warrior of Disharmony all along? Many other witnesses who attended Princess Celestias School have all claimed the same about our Princess of Harmony. Princess Celestia herself has made a statement and has said that Princess Twilight was never part of Disharmony but was corupted just as her sister was which turned her into an Alicorn of Terror. Luckly the Elements of Harmony were able to defeat her with the Five Elements. However they are now apparently missing who will defend Equestria? Whose fault is it for the coruption of Princess Twilight? We will answer all of your questions in our next article. Now moving on to our next top story.....
This wasn't Twilight, he knew she would never do this and he would find out the truth even if he had to up against Princess Celestia herself, and then he would find their friends.
In the crystal caverns under the castle, two figures could be seen. The first was small figure who was tied up with chains. The larger second figure was crying as she had to hurt the filly who she considered her daughter. Why did she always have to hurt her family?

So this is my first MLP fanfic and I hoped it turned out alright. I know their are a few mistakes here and there but I hope it still makes sense. So for those who are a little confused this story is pratically about how Twilight doesn't want to be a Alicorn and wishes to break free of her cutie mark and destiny.
However when she talks to Princess Celestia about this topic the Princess immediately stops Twilight and it is revealed that Celestia did the same to Princess Luna and made it look like she lost it.
And then we have spike ready to find the truth and Celestia in the crystal caverns that Cadence was once trapped.
