The morning light shines brightly into the window nearby my bedside, with it comes the groan of a boy, he was about that age of 10 or so at the time living in the state of California! There he had slowly sat up and rubbed his eyes dreading the day that he would have to return to the school that he detested so much! He moved to the bathroom and took time to ensure that everything was done, teeth body washed everything! Grabbing his bag and with a wave and sayonara to his mother he headed out!
As the sun began to rise in the sky, he headed into the school yard through the small trek from his house to the dirt pathway. He had been moving swiftly to avoid the local bullies that always picked on him! With an audible thud upon impact he knew what happened.
Life has a way of making things happen that you never want and always making you regret it! The male of at least 12 years of age turned around with anger in his eyes and pushed him down with a hard shove onto the black pavement laughing all the while.
"Hey watch where your going buddy! Ha I still can't believe your a special education student, your so tall and big! Yet you get pushed around so easily its kinda sad!"
"Well, I just don't want to fight, I was not raised with that in mind! I just want to get along with everyone I never wanted anything to happen like this!" He stated with a shiver trembling at the mere sight of the male before him.
The bully laughed even harder at his retort, "You really think that its going to be that easy? Stop using your words and use your fists!"
Shortly after school at the nurses office, "So you got into a fight with the bully again did you? I think it is time for me to talk to your parents about what is going on! You are growing at a nice rate, however you can't really enjoy school at all if this keeps happening!" With a shift in movement from the chair of the nurses office, he grabbed the phone and began to make his call as the 12 year old laid there in his bed that he always winds up in almost daily.
Sometime in the evening near sunset, "Finally my chance to get off those training wheels! Just wait until everyone sees that I will be the first of all of us to be on a bike all by myself!" Slowly moving forward I then push off down the half mile hill of San clemente base. However, 1/8 the way down the bully looked angry and had 2 dirt rocks. With one swift movement, he had thrown them one at a time, one hitting him in the head the other into his eye as he was knocked off his bike and thrown down the hill rolling all the while unable to keep himself conscious with all the pain he slowly faded into unconsciousness.
A voice called out, "Would you like to try your life again?"
With a grunt he slowly opened his eyes, he didn't feel any pain not anymore at least as he was surrounded by darkness...
"Michael, you have struggled so much in your life and your so young. Yet you already are perishing under the hands of your like minded species. Would you like to try your hand at another life in another world? Perhaps, one of your choosing?"
He sighed softly as he looked up at the figure, it seemed to be covered in a hood to give it an air of mystery. Hair flowing behind it seemingly at a constant blue and black with white stars in them? He stood up tall as he looked at the figure before bawling his eyes out. "I want a life, away from those bullies! I want to just make.... -sniff- FRIENDS!!!"
The feminine voice continued, "Hmph, you shall then get your wish and with it a chance for new challenges... I hope you are ready for what lies ahead...."
He growled as he roared out, "I am! No matter what anywhere is better then here!"
With that, the figure smirked "As you wish..." With a snap of their fingers, Michael's eyes had closed and he felt himself pulled into a vortex and let out a blood curdling shriek! Waking up in an open field and looking around, he rubbed his head as he was covered in a cold sweat. However, as he felt his face, he glided his hand downwards and eyes widened in realization as his mouth felt more outward like that of a muzzle? His hands feeling across his body and fur seemed to coat it with clothes he didn't remember putting on! "AAAArrrgGGHH!" He screamed out in fear as he stood up quickly patting his body down. "What am I Sasquatch?!" He shouted out, Curious as to his new being he looked around. His curiosity getting the better of him as he moved along the field looking for something with a reflection, he found out that there was a small pond nearby.
With the fear apparent in his eyes, he didn't know if he really wanted to look within, as such he moved towards it as if his body was screaming at him to just get it over with. Slowly his head moved into view of his reflection, and what he saw surprised him. He was a full blown anthromorphic creature! From what he can tell, it didn't look like he was 10 anymore, in fact rubbing along his maw he found that he had a bit of stubble. "This is so strange.... Why is it that I look like my older brother?"
A sigh spreading along his lips, he sat back looking at his clothes which seemed to be an open shirt with some jeans, a til swaying back and forth behind him as he rubbed his head trying to make sense of everything. "Alright, let's put 2 and 2 together, I am in another world, My body is more.... Grown, and top it off with I seem to have alot more knowledge than before...." With everything rushing through his head, he was giving himself a headache before he laid back the grass soft like cotton. Slowly his eyes closed, relaxing in the embrace of the wilderness.
Sitting upright, he stretched his limbs and stood upright looking around his scenario more calm then before and smiled with newfound confidence. "I wonder who that was.... A new chance at life is right, I just hope that I don't screw it up." He gave a soft hearted chuckle, "Well whatever I am, apparently I am not on earth anymore. So I guess the first thing I should do is find the nearest town?" He sighed softly as he got himself together and started walking. From what he could tell, it felt like a few hours had passed for him to take time to adjust to his new form.
A looked over towards the forest nearby that was seeming to be more dark and different then the meadow he stood within, however squinting his eyes he looked closer the best that he could. "What in the hell was that?" He tilted his head, he had seen something off in the distance. He approached a forest, it seemed to have black vines growing around with large thorns. However, the trees looked to be different then the ones he had seen. "Wow.... What happened?... These look like they were burned..."
"Help!" A voice called out in the forest, which made him jolt and without thinking burst through the forest.
"I don't know where I am.... However, a call for help somethings going down!"
"Somepony, Please help me!"
He listened closely when he heard the voice again and ran towards it, hearing what sounded like large steps, swiftly turning to the side and behind a tree he watched as a blonde haired mare, with what looked to be a grey tone body. Wearing a mail delivery outfit, running towards him. Shortly behind was what he thought were wolves, but upon closer look they were made of wood.
"Somepony!.... Please...... Help!!!!!!" She croaked in her voice as tears began to fall and this caused Michael to burst out from behind the tree.
"Get moving! Don't look back just go now!" He had shouted at her, and her eyes widened in surprise without doubting she acknowledged him and ran by speaking as she ran by. "Thank you..."
He sighed, hearing that as he turned towards the timber-wolves, the one in the center in a staring contest with him while the others began to move towards the right and left sides as if to ambush. Their gaze never leaving him and growling with some weird green goop dropping from their maws that smelled something fierce. He didn't know what was going to happen. He thought to himself, "Oh fuck.... Why did I do this? I don't even know how to fight! I mean how am I going to-" Cut off in mid thought, his instincts were forced to take over.
The one off to the right charged at him, wanting to get a good bite out of his arm. With which He had seen and went for a punch towards its muzzle as it leapt at him, the timber-wolf had bit down onto his fist as he roared out into pain. Blood beginning to seep from its maw, before he twisted his wrist in its maw, knowing it was going to hurt there was a snap and he yelled out as he gripped onto its lower jaw tearing it off and with adrenaline now pushing through him he swirled it around towards the one left as the other 2 timber-wolves were hit with all 3 knocked to the side.
Whimpering, the timber-wolves looked to him, and he had been wounded severely. They all looked to each other, and separated slowly combining into one large timber-wolf. Which caused Michael's jaw to drop and his to almost bulge from his skull.
"You have got to be kidding me..."
The timber-wolf now at least 15ft tall, with thrice the claw and maw power charged towards him. At this point, he knew what he had to do and turned swiftly to begin running with the timber-wolf hot on his tail. "Why is it that no matter where I go I always get into trouble!" He roared out, grunting now and then due to his broken arm. What felt like hours of running was merely a few minutes as he fell through a hole in the ground and on impact gasped as the air was knocked out of him. Slowly, his eyes began to close as he saw a figure above that was maybe female his eyes hazy as he spoke out. "Why?..." His eyes now closed and fading to unconsciousness.

I am sorry for any mispellings or anything, I don't have an editor and I have a job. Kinda makes it hard to make time for this as well as my narrations on youtube. However, I hope you all enjoy this story and give me some constructive criticism. I did make some stories in the past and I can see why they were downvoted or disliked. Now its time for a new story, one that I plan to continue for a while.
Next chapter will include who the 2 mares were and more, my goal is over 2k words for that one. ^w^
This is the story of how my life began in the midst of the wonderful world of My little Pony: Friendship is Magic! This is in fact a self insert, but in a special way that I believe you might enjoy! Anyways, if you like the story please leave a comment, or a like it will help to encourage me to do more! So far this will only be the prologue and I will be continuing this story at least once a week maybe more if I feel motivated! I will be using situations from my own past as well so I hope you all enjoy!
The small mare, was staring down at the stallion as he had faded into unconsciousness, she had a gray color palette. A horn protruded from her head, her eyes were a light yellow and she wore a school uniform, one that was a button up white shirt with a red bow tie. The bottoms were some jeans that were rather snug, her tail moving back and forth behind her.
"I wonder who this pony is? I never saw him around before, and what is he doing in the everfree? I mean, he doesn't even have a cutie mark and he has a broken arm! Maybe we should try to fix him up? What do you think Zecora?" She asked up to a mare that was nearby looking at some old dusty books.
"I must say, his appearance is certainly clearing and alarming, but my little pony leave the healing to Morning light!" She smiled towards Dinky before leading her away, "Look for a few books we won't get another chance to take a foot in here. This stallion is different though indeed, I wonder what he may achieve.." She stared at his blank flank through the tear in his jeans.
"Zecora, I found a couple books I am interested in. We can go now if you want! I am sure my mom is wondering where I am."
"Hold on Dinky, he is waking, perhaps his pain is fading?" She grabbed her hand and quickly ran off to hide, to observe the stallion.
With a low grumble and an audible grunt he woke up. "....Fucking owch.." He slowly sat up only to flinch and grit his teeth towards his arm. Seeing that it was still broken he slowly stood up and looked around to find that he was in an old library? "Why is there a Library underground, this makes no sense and wolves made out of wood that can combine into a giant beast? What have I gotten myself into..." He spoke to himself as he approached the book case, trying to distract himself from the pain.
Slowly reaching his good hand out he grabbed a book and blew on it to see that it was titled. "Civilizations of Old.... The times of Humankind??" He tilted his head curiously at that, "Wonder why it makes it seem that there are no huma-..." His eyes slowly widened at the mere mention of what he was saying. "No.... Did humans used to live here and die out?..." He slowly put the book down and punched into the book case in frustration. "I hope that isn't true, and I hope that if it is perhaps there is a way I can turn myself human again here..." He sighed as he saw where he had punched had poked a hole through the back of the book case. Slowly pulling his hand back, he raised a brow as he began to push the book case struggling quite a bit. With much effort, he panted as he looked down into a hidden passageway made of blue. "What have I got to lose? I appear in another world, far as I know, there are beasts i don't know about, ponies of anthromorphic nature, am I a pony?" He then laughed a bit at the idea, "Yea right..." Slowly he headed down into the caverns as the book case slowly moved back into place.
Zecora looked off towards the book case when she had seen it move. "He spoke of a human as if he was one, this situation is a time for the young to go home. A time for me to see what he finds in the catacombs." Her look turned grim, as Dinky gave a shrug and walked off to head home leaving Zecora to move the book case and follow behind him. "If he is a human, then this could lead to ruin..."
When he had heard the book case close behind him, he didn't want to look behind him. He already knew and there would be no point to even look and get panicked, what he had now was only one way. Downward, towards the depths of this mysterious blue cavern. Looking forward, he began to see multiple phases of light that reflected across the caverns making it look like neon colors were flowing all through it. There was an opening up ahead, and with a shrug he knelt down gritting his teeth as he felt his arm jolting in pain for the movement of getting through the small hole. When he exited, his eyes began to sparkle as what he had found, looked like a giant hot spring, and in the middle was a strange stone statue that had been chizzled out of the rock.
"What in the hell?...." Slowly moving forward, he tried to get a better look at the statue, but the fog around it made it difficult to see. The statue, started to glow with every step he took towards it. He stepped into the water and it instantly gave him a large jolt as if it was electrified, "Yeowch! Fuck!" He swore as his voice achoed amongst the cavernous walls.
"Why is this electrified?... That makes no sense, none of this does! Whats next that statue is going to move?!"
As if his bad luck could only get worse, when he turned up towards the statue, it was giving off alot of static and began to move towards him a large step knocked the hot spring water flying towards him. He swiftly dodged side to side best he could but with a broken arm it was difficult and thus he would occasionally get a zap with each bit that hit his broken arm. "God damn it!" He roared out, "Why can't you leave me alone?! Why is it that every moment I spend here gets worse and worse!" He started to break down, and knelt down on the ground. "If your going to kill me then just do it! I can't take this anymore!"
The statue continued to move forward until it was above him, and in that moment as the foot of the statue came down upon him. On impact, something collided with him and tumbling off to the side he roared in pain as he looked up at who it was. She seemed, to have been wearing a native attire? One made up off a loin cloth of leather, and her top some form of hide of a beast? What really got his attention was the fact that this woman that he was saved by. Turned to look at him and he saw an anthromorphic Zebra?! "What the hell are- grk!" He gripped his arm in pain, standing up and sighing as he used his good hand to help Zecora up.
"You should not focus on me, but rather that thing behind you! It is a statue that activates to intruders and looters!" She rhymed, and as he swiftly turned around he was sent flying before zecoras eyes. Slamming into a wall, he growled as he fell to the ground. Zecora, swiftly got up and jumped onto its back, attempting to use a dagger that she had under her cloth to try to get into the crevice in its neck. With as much strength as she could, she flipped back off of it to reveal that chest piece falling off, and inside was where the electricity originated. Run, by what looks like a large sapphire!
When she got off though, the statue had an opportunity and it took it, as its fist slammed into her side, knocking her skidding across the electrified water and into the wall opposite of it and Michael. "Fuck...." He looked it dead in the eyes, and analyzed its interior, it looked like human technology! "Maybe theres an off switch or an important area in there that needs to be hit to knock the whole thing crumbling?" He spoke aloud as he coughed into his hand to feel some warmth. He had coughed up blood, and his eyes began to shake as he spat the remaining blood off to the side.
The statue, seeing the large threat, began to move towards the now unconscious zebra and it was not looking like it was going to stop. In his head he began to replay all the times he was beaten, and bruised, thrown to the side and knocked down. He always stayed down, thinking it was the best thing as fighting back could only end badly. However, as if a trigger had snapped in his head, he stopped holding his arm and gripped his fist tightly, looking at it then running towards the statue, avoiding the water by running through the exterior, he had plenty of experience running and jumping so as he got just out the corner of its eye. He jumped up onto its chest plate, and grabbed the sapphire..... Big mistake!
Upon grabbing the sapphire, his whole body went numb instantly, his arm involuntarily twitching as his broken one flailed around in the static, the blue lightning striking him repeatedly and slamming him in the back and more. His whole body getting burned and charred as he continued pushing forward to grab the jewel and tear it out. "I will not let anyone else..... grk.... DIE!!!!!!" He yelled at the top of his lungs as he roared using all his strength as the statue, was bringing its hand down and slammed him in the back, repeatedly the sound of bones cracking or breaking as his eyes began to get hazy. He ripped the Sapphire out from the interior of the robot, and flopped down off the statue to the ground.
Zecora, slowly woke up and what she saw made her eyes widen, the statue was falling backwards into the hot springs, and began to zap itself and its electric interior causing the statue to flail about erratically as it fizzled out and ceased function. Looking down at the stallion a hand raised to her muzzle, she slowly moved towards him and saw how beaten up he was. Leaning down to hear his chest, she could hear a faint heart beat and he had a pulse. However, he changed into a different beast then what he was... He was no longer a stallion, but she looked at the statue then at him. "You are foalish human, but you have left me clueless...." She slowly helped him up and looked around seeing the stairs on the opposite end of where they had come from. She moved towards them and headed up, opening a latch that was exiting right out into canterlot castle.
Zecora, saw the interior and was surprised by just where they were, left speechless, she heard some guards nearby.
"I heard the thump over here! I need back up just in case!" The guard roared out, and multiple hoofsteps were heard. Turning the corner the only thing they saw, was the human holding the giant sapphire and the one in charge looked surprised. "Get him to the royal nursery! Stat! Also inform the princesses....." He looked at the sapphire that he was holding and his face. "That the catacombs have been found." He put his fingers to his muzzle as if he was getting a headache. The guards did as asked, and he grabbed the sapphire heading towards Celestias throne room. "This.... Could be good or bad and sadly a Human returning now of all times?..... It makes me wonder if more are on the way..." He knocked on the throne room door and with permission entered and sighed laying the gem before him before kneeling before Celestia herself.
"Rise Captain of the Royal guards Shining armor! How have you gotten hold of that sapphire! The last human set those across the lands in the catacombs of the old races! Only he knew where they resided! That...... Oh no don't tell me...."
He nodded as he looked up at her, "The humans chosen has arrived...."

Next chapter, We will delve into the lore behind the humans catacombs! I figured I would go a route that made it seem that only a select few knew of the humans! Better to have something different right? Anyways look forward to chapter 2!
