The Backstory of Blazing Metal

Blaze's backstory (Non-Cupcakes one)

Hello everypony. My name is Blaze, my full name is Blazing Metal. I live in Ponyville with Pinkie Pie and The Cakes in Sugarcube Corner.

Let me tell you all about myself.

I'm not from Ponyville. I'm from Canterlot. I wasn't really surprised when I see famous ponies there. I always see Princess Luna and Celestia, Fancy Pants, Fleur De Lis, and more. I used to live with my grandparents. Canterlot is boring. The ponies there are either dignified or just plain stuck up. I felt like I didn't fit in with the ponies there, it's because of my personality, I don't like acting rich or "fitting in" with the fashion of Canterlot. I've always wanted to live in a simple town. You know like where I live today, Ponyville!

My parents work in Manehattan. My dad is a Pegasus. He's strict but he's fun, likes to make me laugh. He re-married another mare. My dad always told me that she had fun with my step-mom. My step-mom is a unicorn, she's is nice, playful, funny, and really kind. She's not like the stereotypical step-parents who are mean and don't care about their young. No my step-mom is caring. My real mom is a changeling, full-blood. I don't see her that much. She's always pretended to be a pony. She's always help me control my changeling form. She's really nice. My mom was 18 when she left the hive to have another life on her own.

When I was 6 years old it was just my original mom, my grandparents, and I who lived together. My dad already left for work in Manehattan. Then when a year later my mom, who expertly disguises herself in her pony form, left for work too after that it was just my grandparents and I. I only see them when it's only Hearth's Warming Eve. My grandmother is a pegasus. She is very nice but at times she gets over-protective and strict, but overall she's friendly and likes to tell jokes. My grandfather is a unicorn. He's... well. He's... how do I put this. Annoying. He is very cranky, complains a lot, and he always wants to be in charge. He's the reason why I had a lot of pent-up anger. I've rarely talked back to him. But when I do I usually get hit with a stick.

It's turn to talk about me now. Heh... I'm usually happy. Outside. Inside... well. Mood swings has always messed up my mind. I don't control my emotions, my emotions usually control me. But I know how and when to hide my emotions, my parents never notice how depressed I really am. It's all because of my grandfather. He doesn't know what goes in my head. He just pretends like nothing happens after I cry or lock myself in my room. I try to make myself happy by listening to songs on my phone.

I'm extremely clumsy. That's why I have a chipped left wing. When I was 10 I was playing on the stairs... Then I tripped. And figure out what happens next. I'm extremely sarcastic. My friends here in Ponyville always find that annoying, but I never really notice how far my sarcasm can go. My friends always say that my sarcasm can reach from funny or just plain insulting. It always made me laugh when I become sarcastic. They'd usually stay silent or roll their eyes. I also get bored a lot when I have nothing to do I just listen to music while all the curtains in my room are closed and my room is dark. I don't really know why I get bored a lot.

Majority of ponies in Ponyville don't know that I'm a changeling. I got it from my mom, because you know she's a full-blooded changeling. I've never really known I was a changeling until I was 10 years old. My mom told me that she doesn't show her real self that much in public, like I do. She always taught me how to control my changeling magic, that I rarely use. The only ponies that know I'm a changeling are: Pinkie Pie, Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, and The Cutie Mark Crusaders. I don't show my changeling form in public because I might get accused of being a spy for Queen Chrysalis and get arrested.

I've always had this diary that I started since I moved to Ponyville. I always write what happens, my experiences. Have I mentioned that I love music? Yeah, my cutie mark is a pair of headphones. It represents my love for music. It depends on my mood. If I'm happy I don't care about the lyrics I just like the upbeat tune. But when I'm sad I listen to songs that has a good meaning on how I shouldn't give up on life. It's just what I am. I also like to play really loud music. I mostly listen to RnB, Pop, Rock N Roll, and I also have a few alternative songs.

So one day I was about to graduate. I was pumped to finally meet new ponies in high-school. But I got a call from my dad. I couldn't go to high schools in Canterlot. "Son we found a really cheap, but good school in a town named Ponyville." My dad said. Of course I got excited since I don't have to live with my grandparents. But I'm gonna miss my grandma. I still remember her to this day. My dad said that I'm going to live with the Cakes. He was really good friends with Mr. Cake, but they lost touch after they graduated in highschool.

My first day in Ponyville, all the ponies were smiling at me. They were all really nice, I didn't really know what to do exactly, so I just pretend to listen to music or I awkwardly smile at them, often facehoofing after I look away from the pony because of embarrassment.

While in Ponyville I got to meet the other Elements of Harmony. I've always idolized Rainbow Dash, because she was the only pony to perform a Sonic Rainboom. Which many ponies believed that it was a legend. She'd always teach me some tricks in flying. I was also sort of close to Twilight Sparkle becuase she is fond of reading books. And I've only read a few books in my life. I've mostly read Norse and Greek Mythology (*ahem* Magnus Chase and Percy Jackson reference *ahem*) and adventure books like Daring Do.

My current roommate is Pinkie Pie. I sleep in another room next to Pinkie's room. She'd always make me smile everytime I'm feeling down or when I'm just bored. The Cutie Mark Crusaders are my bestfriends here in Ponyville. And no I don't have a crush on them, for your information. I always liked hanging out with them. Watching them help other ponies find their purpose in life. I was very close to Scootaloo because she is a pegasus.

About six months into Ponyville I heard that my old classmate Sharp Shooter, a zebra, moved to the Everfree, and about a year into me living to Ponyville. Minty Stardust, my old coltfriend, and Jasmine Fawn, also my old classmate. Moved to Ponyville. So that's great! Although since they moved I've been getting distant from the Crusaders. I do wish we're still close. I've also been dating another changeling! Her name is Xavier. We've had some of our ups and downs but we're still together!

And that's my life so far!
