A New Background Character ARRIVES!
It’s Morning
“Hey, wake up! Hey! Sleepy head! Get the fuck up!”
“Mmm…”
It was a start of a new day, one that always started with a bang. Clothes of two girls were scattered on the floor, and two naked bodies laid in white bed sheets. One of ladies had silver hair with pink highlights. Her body matured with a skin tone of light pink, covered with marks of the steamy event taken place the night before, with deep hot pink eyes and long silver eyelashes.
“Come on! I'm not going to take care of a child, I have to go to Lezi at 8:30!”
As the pink women whined and struggled to get her partner up from bed. There was no use. She was sound asleep, eyes shut clutching the bed sheets.
“You know what? I'm just going to leave you.” The annoyed woman started to shuffle out of the bed, heading to the shower while picking up her crinkled-up clothing off the wooden floors.
It’s Still Morning
A few moments later, a teenage girl had woken up from her long dreamy slumber. She looked around finding no one in her room, only to be staring at a digital clock that read, 7:34 a.m.
“Holy… SHIRLEY TEMPLE! WHY DIDN'T YOU WAKE ME UP!”
Rushing out of bed and going towards the bathroom, the girl was left with a locked door and the sounds of the sink running. Music was blasting. After a few minutes, she couldn't wait any longer, and went to her only left option… Baby wipes. Luckily, before there had been any action last night she was able to take a shower, but she still smelt like sweat.
Looking at a full-body mirror hanging on the wall, she saw that her shoulder-length, blueberry perm hair with purple-plum streaks had become messy; but when she touched it, she found that it was still surprisingly soft and fluffy. Long eyelashes covered deep sapphire-blue eyes. Her skin was a pale blue, so pale that it was close to a white skin tone On her back were scratches, and there were bite marks on her shoulder.
Once she finished putting on her clothes, she scurried to stuff her school supplies in her duffel bag. Finishing, she headed for the mirror once more and gave herself a once-over. Now wearing a white athletic jacket with a hunter green collar, underneath she had loose grey v-neck tee tucked into her high denim shorts. Her feet were protected by hightop shoes that were black and white, with her left shoe all black and her right shoe all white.
Rushing out of the apartment, she was stopped by a nude friend. “Winter~” Shirley said seductively.She stepped out, wearing only her laced underwear and bra. She drooped them over the late girl, wanting her to stay, but at the same time understanding she needs to go get her education.
“Sorry, Shirley, but have to go…” Winter replied starting to mope a bit, then started to chuckle. “I'll see you at work remember? Lock up for me before you go. Just give me the key later!” She warmly smiled, giving her a hug while patting her on the head, before stepping out and running for her life to get to her eventful Canterlot High School.
Arriving At School
“Crap. Crap! CRAP! CRAAAAP!!”
After arriving late to school, Winter found herself in front of a closed gate. She started to whine, not noticing her surroundings and creating a huge scene.
“Why, Lord?! Whyyyyyyyyy?!” She started to pound the ground repeatedly, causing her knuckles to turn a darker shade. She paced back and forth before coming up with an idea. She didn't want to get help since this was her last strike before suspension if she was late.
The school’s rules weren't entirely strict, but through her time here she may have stretched out her tardy limits. Beyond the gates lay Canterlot High School, a building shaped kind of like a 'u’. Winter always thought that it resembled a horseshoe; an appropriate comparison, considering their mascot. The campus was surrounded by green grass and a walk way. There was a white stallion statue in the front courtyard that made the school look so magical.
“Okay, you know what? I'll climb the fence! I'll give myself a running start, then climb up with all my strength!” She grinned at her idea, thinking it would work.
Stretching first, she was able to be more flexible and capable to climb the gate to the other side. Backing up a short distance, Winter got in her running position.
“3… 2… 1…”
She dashed for the gate., until she heard a voice behind her; but it was too late.
“Morning, Winter.”
“Huh?” She turned her head before...
SMASH!
Winter’s body dropped to the ground. She wheezed through impacted lungs. “Ow...ow..” She hugged her body tight rolling on the concrete.
Getting used to the pain, she looked up to see none other than her friend Roden. He had green hair and emerald-green eyes. He was wearing a long green-and-grey scarf someone had given to him in his childhood A green jacket, some dark pants, and green shoes finished his attire. He was your nice guy and therapist when you need him; pretty chill, she figured, except for his drinking habit.
Roden got down helping Winter up, before asking if she was okay. Winter simply nodded. But she was getting more dizzy, and then passed out.
It’s Probably Lunch Time
A hours passed before Winter woke up once more. She was face-to-face with the ceiling. Her bag was next to her, while her jacket was on the opposite side. She was laying down in the nurse's office in school. As her senses started to kick in she felt her body was a bit bandaged up.
“My… head…hurrrrts!” She held her head a bit, before starting to sit up.
“Finally up?! Took you long enough.” Roden yawned, crossing his arms. “It's lunch time, by the way. So if you feel better we can head out.”
“Hi to you, too, Roden. What happened to me?” Winter snuggled with her pillow before getting her cheeks pinched.
“Well someone tried to climb the gate, but failed once they heard my dreamy voice.”
“Haaaaa, okay, Roden. Hey, why is my back bandaged up...oh no.” She blushed, getting up from the mattress putting on her jacket while getting her bag.
“Well, while the nurse was checking your body, she found a bunch of scratch and bite marks. And guessing from that, we both know what you were up to last night.” He smirked, opening the door and heading out.
“Y-yeah..Can w-we just g-go?” She became more flustered, scratching her face before following Roden.
Roden laughed a bit, before asking. “Hey, who was it this time? Still the manager?”
Winter nodded, replying, “Yeah. Shirley was up for it, and I always like to help my friends in whatever need they have, sexualor not. Though, it comes at a price, ‘cause I don't help for free.”
“Yeah, I know. Well, you gotta pay the bills somehow right?”
Winter's blush persisted. "Not what I meant!" she exclaimed, punching him in the shoulder.
Minutes passed while they walked to the cafeteria. Their conversation continued, before they passed a group of couples. One pair was a guy with a black chef coat while the girl was in a nice performance suit, having a pink tie. Another was a girl with white shirt with a blue collar with a white skirt accompanied with a gir- I mean guy with a blue dress shirt with a white shirt under with some pants. Both guys were wearing shades and looking fresh!
“Well, well, if it isn't Roden, and uh… his girlfriend? And that’s all you can come up with, Snow? Shame,” said the guy in the shades.
Roden stopped and greeted, “Hello, Treble… Hi, everyone.”
“Well, I wouldn’t say girlfriend... Maybe friend would suit me better,” Winter replied with some laughter.
“Yeah, if we were dating, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t see us in a private setting.” Roden chuckled.
“Oh my God! RODEN! Not in front of the children!” Winter slapped him on arm, while starting to introduce herself. “My name is Winter. I’m in my last year of this school.” She smiled warmly. “Who are all of you?”
“Well, I’m Mise, and this is my girlfriend, Octavia,” the man with a chef coat said with the performer next to his side.
“And I’m Treble, your normal 4th wall breaker, coming into another story to bring hell. Oh, and this is my girlfriend, Vinyl,” the guy in the shades said, hanging onto the girl with her shades.
“Well, that’s it for introduction. Are you new here? We usually know everyone here, but we haven’t seen you around.” Octavia asked, scratching the side of her head, giving a bit of a clueless look.
“No, I’ve been here since freshman year. I’ve been busy working and, well, studying, too. Nothing special, I never have time to participate in any of the events. Nothing really to stand out about; I can get through high school this way. I’ve done this for three years.” Winter’s eyes darted towards the ground.
‘Great, they probably think I’m a depressed loner with no life. Impress them dang it.’ Winter thought in a slight panic.
“But, I’m happy with how my life is. Plus, I have a friend at work. Oh! Why don’t you come and visit sometime?” Winter went bright-faced while she passed out flyers of her workplace. “I’m a waitress at Lezi Coffee Cafe. We just opened up recently. It’d be great to see you there. You should bring your friends, too.”
“Speaking of friends, why don’t you become our friend? We don’t bite.” Octavia gave an inviting smile while Vinyl started to add on.
“Yeah, it’d be fun. We can hang out all the time. But, we don’t want to force you; it’s your choice, really,” she spoke with a friendly tone and a playful smirk.
“Well… I um... I- sure, why not...” Winter shyly answered until the bell rang, interrupting the group and catching them off guard.
They decided to part ways while Roden and Winter just kept walking. “You meant sex friend, right?” Roden shoved his hands in his pockets walking to their next class.
Winter blushed and punched Roden in the arm. “Shut up, you.”
The halls and lockers seem to fade in Winter’s vision. She couldn’t really think about making friends. There were many who thought that she didn’t like being alone. But she didn’t feel too into the crowd, and what if they found out about her? Will they leave her once they know? She wasn’t really up to the thought of it.
She smacked her face, the lights on the ceiling shining down on her face. She took a deep breath. “Gosh, I'm really going to have friends.”
Roden looked at her with a raised brow before placing a hand on her shoulder. “Yeah, it seems you will. Friends aren't a bad thing to have… Oh! I’ll invite them to Lezi later today, and you can serve them while showing them your work. You can make good time like that!”
“Great idea... But that Treble guy seemed he’ll tear the place apart. Can he be trusted?” Winter pounced around.
“Can’t believe I’m saying this... But yes.”
“Hmm, alright!” Winter once again smacked her face. “Let’s do this. Even though I have no idea what I'm doing!”
“That's the spirit!”
In Equestria
“Starlight, are you ready to go back to the human world!?” a mare covered in dark lavender fur with night shining hair asked with pure joy, packing the last few things in Starlight’s bag.
“Yes, Twilight, I'm just wondering if I'll really like it there. I know you're not going to be there, so… will I be okay?” Starlight worried for a bit before shaking her head.
“Thanks to Sunset, we were able to get your paperwork done, and we put our money together to buy you an apartment. You just need to find a job to sustain it. But I'm pretty sure you'll have no problem with that! And I’m sending you there to go study up on humans, share bonds with them, being with them through thick and thin. ”
As they finished Twilight put the magical phonebook onto the slot to open the mirror. A glow shined before settling into a spiral of white and hot pink.
“Wow you sound like I’m planning to get a stallion....Right, and it's only a few months, right? Let's stay optimistic! I'll do great. But what if-” Suddenly a book dropped down Starlight’s head.
“Ow, what was that for?” She rubbed her head before getting hugged by her teary-eyed mare friend, Trixie. “T-Trixie?!”
“IF YOU THINK THE GREAT AND POWERFUL TRIXIE WILL NOT SAY GOODBYE TO HER BEST MARE FRIEND YOU ARE WRONG!” Trixie snorted into her cape before looking back at Starlight. “Don't regret anything, Starlight, I know you'll have fun there. Don't forget about Trixie, okay? She wants you back here in one piece. Promise me you'll be back?”
“Promise!” Starlight teared up before getting interrupted by Twilight.
“Hey, you ready to go? Sunset’s waiting for you.”
Starlight smiled wide wiping off her tears with her hooves. “I’m ready!”
Entering inside the mirror, fastly taking her to the other side in the matter of seconds. Starlight wasn't used to it yet still being her third time through that mirror.
“AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!” she screamed, before hitting the concrete outside of the mirror. “Oof!”
“Celestia damn it.” Starlight groaned a bit before standing up. Her clothes were the same as last time when she went to the human world: a teal shirt with a hot pink undershirt, then a nice sleek dark grey vest, and ripped jeggings.
“Hey, Starlight! Nice to see you again!” The bacon hair girl with a biker jacket hugged Starlight before going on about the school. “So Starlight, about the human world, as you know a few magical occurrences has shown up due to Equestria magic leaking into this world. But it's been peaceful after the mirror incident…” She took a deep breath before they began to head into the school.
“Sunset, if there's going to be anymore incidents happening we will be okay, because you and your friends are here.” Starlight gave a bit of an awkward laugh climbing up the steps.
“Our friends, Starlight.” Sunset warmly smiled, before opening the door into Starlight's new adventure.
“Without a doubt, I'll do my best.”
