A Coup in Equestria

It was four years since anypony heard of Starlight and she was becoming more a legend over these last four years. Since then, Rainbow joined the Wounderbolts and it happiest day of her life. However last year, Rainbow and Spitfire got into a heated group of the current state of the Wonderbolts, Rainbow viewed a corrupt and Spitfire viewed as just fine, and there was nothing wrong, she just making mountains out of molehills. Spitfire also told Rainbow that she has a higher rank then due to her saving Equestria multiple times. Due to Rainbow quit the Wonderbolts and went back her old job as a weather mare. Since then Rainbow had more time to hang with her friends as well. She helped Rarity has now most recognizable fashionistas among Equestria. She has a couple of her dresses for special occasions. She was Pinkie’s best mare when she got married to Cheese Sandwich.

However, she couldn’t talk to Applejack since Granny Smith’s death, which shook AJ and rest Ponyville with grief. Applejack and Rainbow got into a heated debate about death and it with Applejack says, “your parents are still alive, while mine is dead!” Since then Rainbow and AJ hardly talked to one another.

In the present time, Rainbow Dash exited out of the hospital with a heavy sigh. She recently recovered from a wing injury. She happy to fly again, but she wasn’t in the mood as keep walking through Ponyville. Her doctor told Dash she can’t risk any more stunts like that because of the phrase is she was afraid of hearing her entire life; “getting old.” She kicked rocks and cans as she went. She wished she could talk to one of her friends. However, Twilight was in Canterlot heaving tea time with her family and the princesses; Rarity was busy design for client all day; Fluttershy was volunteering for Zoo in Manehattan; Applejack was meeting with her cousin Braeburn, and Pinkie was busy with her date with Cheese Sandwich.

With she sighed was sent to local Ponyville bar called, Unequestrian Filly that was recently built across from Sugarcube corner. She entered the bar and noticed some ponies she recognized such as Bon-Bon, Lyra, and Roseluck. She wanted to talk to them but wasn’t in the mood. She sat in the back corner, and a mare with an orange mane and apricot fur approached her.

“What will be having today?”, she asked politely.

“Two Apple Ciders,” she ordered

She drank her first cider in peace thinking what she is going to do; now she was getting old.

“Maybe I’ll ask Fluttershy on a date,” she thought, “I have been developing sort of crash on the mare since I quit the Wonderbolts.”

A couple of ponies entered when she started her second cider. Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, and a blue pony with a golden mane wearing a black suit, a black worn-down fedora hat sat down next to her. They sat in different, but the blue stallion came to her.

“Is this seat taken?”,he asked pointing at the chair across from her

She took a drink and asked, “What’s it’s to you?”, she asked.

“I work for the parliament in Canterlot and Twilight was worried about her friends, she asked me to check each one of them to see how they are doing,” he said

“I guess he’s the only pony I can and talk to if Twilight sent him,” she thought.

“Okay sit down,” she said

The stallion took a set and ordered a cup of cider

“How’s your day going Miss Dash?”, he asked

“I'm miserable because my doctor told I'm getting old and can’t do some of the wild tricks anymore. I doubt that I can even pull off a sonic rain boom anymore with suffering some loss”, she explains to the stallion taking a heavy drink.

Stallion then looked left and right and whispered to Dash, “I might know of a place to cure your old age, Miss Dash.”

Just then the apricot mare from earlier delivered the stallion’s drink

“What?” she asked almost loudly.

“Quiet down,” he ordered her in a loud whisper and talking drink of his cider, “This a secret only the royal sisters and few members of the parliament know; It's called the Fountain of Youth.”

“What is it?”, she asked.

“It's in the name Dash. The Fountain can restore any pony's youth, and that's why it reminds top secret. Somepony could use abuse it or worse use it to control the world.”

“Why are you telling me about it?”, she asked leaning back in her chair.

“Because I feel sorry for you Miss Dash and I don’t want you to lose your speed or Rainboom just yet,” he explained finishing off his cider.

“Where is it?”,she asked

“Come with me, and I’ll show you,” he asked finishing his drink.

Dash did the same and exited the bar with the stallion, and they then went to the castle.

“Umm the library is closed for today,” Dash told the stallion.

The stallion then pulled out a golden key, “Well, happen to a have key to it.”

They doors to the castle doors open and Dash went blazing through as the stallion

“By the way, I never got your name, who are you?”, she asked.

“String Puller.”

“How do you guys come know of this Fountain of Youth, anyway,” Dash as they were going towards the library section of the castle.

“Daring Do, but she never published the story in her books because we fear other ponies might go and find it and abuse it,” String said.

They finally reached the library and went towards the globe that was in the center of the room. String looked and moved the globe and pointed the area that was just water.

“But there is nothing there,” Dash said.

“On official maps, yes and again it is there,” String explained, “It's all top secret, why we put it on maps?”

“Good point,” Dash said grabbing a paper and writing down the coordinates

Dash hugged String, “I truly owe you one.”

Dash then took off blazing out the library than out of Ponyville.

“First piece is in motion,” String mumbled to himself with a soft laugh.

Dash has been traveling for three weeks, visiting village after village, but at last, she got to her destination. She saw the island and picked up her speed. The island was very tropical was very small, a pony could walk across in about two days or so.

“Maybe I’ll do two rainbooms in one day, maybe come up with a new trick,” she thought as approached the island of where the Fountain of Youth was She touches down on her island went exploring a bit, she looked for any temple. She checked behind every tree and every bush as well. When she was well on the island, she heard hoof steps.

“Who’s there?”, she asked out loud raising a hoof in defense.

Her answer was in from several solar royal guards surrounding her both in air and water, both and stepping out the crowd was String Puller.

“You!”, she pointed out him, “What is this meaning of this?”

“This was all trap, Miss Dash and you won’t be seeing your friends again,” he replied with an evil smile and pulling a dark silver cylinder device, and the sound of the island was Dash screaming for help, which would never come.
