“Sunset darling, what on earth are you going on about?” Rarity asked watching in bemusement as various books, pages, and folders were tossed out of Sunset’s locker onto the floor.
“MY DIARY!!! THE ONE I USE TO COMMUNICATE BACK TO TWILIGHT WITH, IT’S GONE!!!” Sunset replied grabbing Rarity roughly by the shoulders and shaking her violently “IF IT FALLS INTO THE WRONG HANDS OR SOMETHING WHO KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN!! WHAT IF SOMEONE FINDS OUT ABOUT EQUESTRIA AND USES IT TO TRICK TWILIGHT INTO LETTING THEM BACK OVER SO THEY CAN DO ALL MANNER OF HORRIBLE UNTHINKABLE THINGS?!! I HAVE TO GET IT BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, THE FATE OF BOTH OUR WORLDS DEPENDS ON IT!!!!!”
“Whoa, whoa CHILL OUT!!” Rainbow Dash interrupted breaking Sunset and Rarity apart.
“Yea Sugercube, don’t cha think you’re possibly overreacting just a tad?” Applejack pointed out. “First of all almost EVERYONE at CHS already knows about Equestria by now already, and secondly ah highly doubt Princess Twilight would be dumb enough to let just anyone who gets their hands on the diary to pass through to Equestria!”
“She would if she thinks it’s ME!!” Sunset argued back.
“Darling I have to agree with Applejack and Rainbow Dash here, besides I’m pretty sure Princess Twilight would be more then smart enough to notice an impostor if she saw someone writing to her pretending to be you!”
“Maybe your right...” Sunset sighed “But I would STILL feel a whole lot better if I could find it.”
“Well where was the last place you saw it?”
Sunset thought back to the last time she remembered seeing her diary. “Well I KNOW I had it with me when I got to school as I was writing in it just before classes started, but I’ve already checked both my backpack AND my locker.”
“Why don’t you just go to the Lost and Found and see if anyone has turned it in?” Rarity suggested.
“Great idea Rare’s, I’ll head down there right away!!” Sunset immediately dashed off leaving behind her giant mess of discarded locker items.
“WAIT, SHOULDN’T YA CLEAN UP THIS MESS FIRST?!!” Applejack shouted after her.
“Excuse me, has anyone turned in a diary?” Sunset asked as she burst through Vice Principle Luna’s office.
“Well good afternoon to you too!” Vice Principle Luna replied rolling her eyes. “And to answer your question no, no one has turned in a diary!”
“Are you SURE?” Sunset pleaded leaning against Luna’s desk. “It’s a large brown book with a picture of my Cutie Mark on it!”
“Cutie Mark?” Luna repeated raising an eyebrow.
“THIS!!!” Sunset shoved her bag into Luna’s face pointing at the emblem on the front.
Luna pushed away Sunset’s bag “Miss Shimmer I ASSURE you no one has turned in a diary of any kind today! Now if you will excuse me I have a LOT of work to do!!”
“BUT I NEED TO FIND IT NOW, MY WHOLE LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!!!”
Luna let out a sigh and rubbed her temple with her hand, sorely wishing she had gone for a much less stressful job as an Astronaut. “Ok, WHERE was the last place you saw this diary of yours?”
“The study hall, I was writing in it before first class!”
“Well then Miss Shimmer, I would highly suggest you try going over there and checking with Miss Harsh Whiney whether or not anyone has se…...”
Luna never got to finish her sentence as Sunset immediately left in a flash uttering a quick thank you, and bowling over Principle Celestia’s secretary knocking her and the several piles of paper she had been carrying onto the floor.
“…………I REALLY hate teenagers!”
Sunset arrived back at study hall at break neck speed, karate kicking the door open and earning several glares from studying students AND Miss Harsh Whiney.
“MISS SHIMMER, do you enjoy being the center of attention all the time or are you just completely incapable of restraining yourself?
Sunset ignored the jibe. “Miss Harsh Whiney, have you seen a book anywhere around here?”
“This is a Study Hall Miss Shimmer, what do you think?”
Again Sunset ignored the jibe “I’m looking for my Diary, it’s a big brown book with an emblem on it that looks like this.” Sunset pointed at her bag.
Miss Harsh Whiney peered at the emblem over her spectacles and shook her head. “I’m sorry, but I’m afraid I’ve not! Now IF you don’t mind there are student’s around here who wish to actually make something of themselves other than a complete nuisance!”
Several minutes later after being thrown out of study hall Sunset was leaning around the corner holding a pole with a string attached to a pen she had cast on the floor. “Heeeeeeeeeeere booky, book, book, book! Come to Sunset!!”
“Eeer, what are ya doing?”
Sunset whipped around to find Applejack standing behind her. “Oh hi Applejack, I’m just trying to lure my diary back to me with this pen!!!
“Uh huh…. Have ya gone and bumped your head recently?”
“Yes!!! Several times against the study hall window!!!” Sunset replied gleefully. “That’s how I got this amazing idea!”
“Has anyone ever suggested ya seek professional help?”
“Funnily enough that’s exactly what Miss Harshwhinney told me when she yelled at me to leave!” Sunset replied. “I tried asking her if she knows any detectives that specialize in the finding of lost magic books, but she just looked at me like I was crazy and walked away!”
“Gee, ah wonder why?” Applejack replied sarcastically. “Look if ya really want to get that book back why don’t you try posting an ad for its return in exchange for some kind of reward?”
“GREAT IDEA AJ!!!” Sunset threw the pole onto the floor grabbing Applejack by the hand “Let’s go to the Art room right away!!!”
“Ok, so what should I put on here?”
“Lost, my dignity and intelligence! If found, please return immediately!” Rainbow Dash replied seriously.
“I think what Rainbow meant to say” Rarity interrupted glaring at Rainbow Dash “Lost, one brown Diary with a sun emblem on the front. If found, please contact Sunset Shimmer immediately!”
Sunset scribbled the words down onto the poster and leaned back to admire her work. “Ok, now what should the reward be?”
“Well, money is what people usually offer!”
“Ok, I’ll put down One Million Dollars!!” Sunset replied.
“ONE MILLION!!” Rarity repeated in shock. “Darling do you even HAVE one million?”
“Nope!” Sunset answered “But with my highly developed mind, amazing charm, and smoking hot bod I’m sure I will someday!”
Rarity, Applejack and Rainbow Dash all rolled their eyes. “Ok getting back to REALITY!” Applejack interrupted “If ya REALLY want that book back ah suggest you offer something a little more tangible! Like maybe twenty dollars!”
“Pfffffft, nobody’s gonna return a Diary for twenty dollars!” Rainbow Dash laughed.
“Maybe I can offer nude pics of Rarity in exchange for my Diary….” Sunset pondered.
“I BEG YOUR PARDON!!!” Rarity huffed “I REFUSE to pose naked for you just for some stupid Diary!!”
“You wouldn’t need to” Sunset replied nonchalantly “I saw Applejack already has plenty on her phone while I was borrowing it yesterday!”
Rarity rounded on Applejack who immediately shrank against the wall in fear “AH HA!!! I THOUGHT you were doing something funny with your phone in the locker room last week!! GIVE ME YOUR PHONE!!!”
“Ah honestly have no idea what you two are talking about!” Applejack lied averting her eyes “Besides ah left my phone at home….”
“Ok, well how about I just come home with you and you can show me your phone then?”
“You can’t…Because……” Applejack quickly thought up an excuse “Our house is infested with Piranhas!!”
“Piranhas Applejack? Really?” Rarity raised an eyebrow.
“Their giant house eating piranhas…...”
“The advertisement needs to sound enticing!” Sunset mused “How about I add the fact that Rarity recently had breast implant surgery...”
“I HAVE DONE NO SUCH THING!!!!” Rarity screamed.
“I don’t know; they do seem a bit bigger than before…” Rainbow Dash added.
“OH LIKE YOU WOULD KNOW RAINBOW DASH, YOUR BREAST ARE FLATTER THEN APPLEJACK ON DATE NIGHT!!!”

Sunset stared at Rarity thoughtfully for a moment “You know maybe giving away nude photos of Rarity isn’t such a good idea…...”
“Oh thank heavens!”

Rarity was about to pound Sunset into next week when the bottom desk drawer suddenly slid open, and a pink head full of floofy hair shot out. “HIYA!!!!!”

I was looking All OVER for you guys so I could return Sunset’s diary to her and someone said they saw you locking yourself in the Art Department….
“Wait……. YOU HAVE MY DIARY?!!!” Sunset asked hopefully.
“Yes in dee dee!” Pinkie replied. She reached into her hair and pulled out Sunset’s diary. “You let me borrow it this morning before classes remember?”
“…………………………. Maybe!” Sunset replied sheepishly.
“Anyway watcha guys doing in here?” Pinkie slid off the desk and looked at the post Sunset had been making. “Lost: One brown Diary with a sun emblem, if found return to Sunset Shimmer immediately. Big reward, repeat HUMONGOUS reward…”
“OH MY GOD MY BOOBS ARE NOT THAT BIG!!!!!!!!!!” Rarity rounded on Sunset again.
