Chapters Seline and Sol: The Third Alicorn
Prologue: The End of Kingdom
Once upon a time in the land of Equestria, there were two Alicorns. The elder Alicorn had the power to raise the sun and influence emotions. The younger Alicorn had the power to raise the moon and influence the mind. Together they created balance and harmony.
Over the years the younger began to feel anger and saddness for her night was not apperciated by the ponies as they slept through it every night. Her emotions grew out of control as she saw the sun getting the glory deserved by the night.
The elder did not notice the younger alicorns pain and cotinued her duties, as the younger grew darker and darker. The elder grew brighter and brighter. This all changed when the elder received a vision from the heavens. It was time to create a new alicorn using the powers of the stars and magic.
The two gathered where magic was the strongest to create the new Queen however before she could even take her first breath. The foal was stolen into the shadows by a figure unknown.
This caused both Alicorn's saddness and anger. Eventually the younger began to blame the elder for the lose of the foal, she began to fight and fight using all her years of frustrations. Neither could beat the other as they had equal power, the fighting stopped once the Alicorns realised that innocents could be hurt, and had been hurt. The younger left equestria and began her new kingdom refusing to ever speak with the elder again.
"...And that my little ponies is how equestria ended and Seline and Sol began, Any questions?" Asked Queen Celestia, as she closed the dusty book full of many stories from the past and placed it back on the bookshelve with all her other memories of the past.
She looked across the table and saw a purple hoof was raised in the air, the Alicorn looked at the pony attached. She was a young purple filly, from what the Queen had seen the filly was brilliant and very gifted in magic. She was the perfect candidate for the Element of Magic.
"Yes Twilight?" asked the Queen in a soothing voice, so she did not scare the filly.
"Umm your majesty, are you the Alicorn from the story?" asked the young unicorn in a shaking voice. The Queen paused for a moment, the young unicorn started shaking and began to borrow into the unicorn next to her. A single thought ran through the filly, she had made the Queen uncomfortable and now she was going to banish her and she would never see Sunny or Shiny or her parents again.
The fillys train of thoughts were interupted by her older sister poking her side, "are you okay Twi?" she asked leaning down to the smaller's level.
"I'm fine Sunny" Twilight decided to ask her question again, in case the Queen didn't hear her or thought she said something different."Are you the Alicorn from the story, your majesty?" Twilight asked again.
"I am, but this happened quite a long tim-"
"Then why don't you influence emotions like the pony in the story?" Sunset asked, interupting the Queen. The Queen looked over at the orange filly, Sunset Shimmer was her student and was also the perfect candidate for the Element. As she was brilliantly gifted like her sister.
"Both of us agreed that we had too much power and agreed to give it to a trusted a pony for safe giving. The trusted pony would then become the sole guardian of the gift. They are often referred to as our wings." replied the Queen.
"Why--" A yawn interupted the orange filly from finishing her question, she looked over and saw that her sister had fallen asleep on her cushion.
"I think it's time for my little ponies to go to bed, I'll get a guard to escort you to your mother" the Queen said while nodding to a guard who was posted by the door across the room.
Sunset grumbled that she could walk home and they didn't need their mother. She grabbed her younger sister, for she was oldest and it was her job to take her of her younger sister.
Celestia watched as the two fillies left, prehaps it was time to write another letter to Luna about the Elements she thought, for these two fillies could solve all of Celestia's problems and possibly mend her bond with her fellow Alicorn.
Celestia then left her chambers, it was time to head to the throne room, to check on the Summer Sun Celebration.
Far Far Away from Sol, in a castle
A lone figure was seen on balcony lowering the moon, this figure was a dark blue alicorn with starry mane that did not obey grativity. The Alicorn was crying, for it was the anniversary for the day, she had lost everything. In her hooves she was holding a small toy, a pony with a grey coat and mismatched eyes. It was her greatest treasure that she had made for what was suppose to be the happiest day of her life.
A knocking at her door interupted her grieving, Who dared interupted her greiving when she had commanded that she left alone, so that she could cry in peace and forget everything.
She composed herself, for it would do for her subjects to see her in such a state. She walked inside, "Enter !" She commanded in no mood to be nice.
"Your m-majesty" said a mail pony from the other side of the room, far away from the greiving Alicorn, hoping to avoid the Alicorn's rage.
"I commamnded that I not be distrubed tonight " the Alicorn screamed in the Royal Voice. Serving only to scare the poor mail pony further.
"I...I know your m...majesty but a roya..l message came from the K..Kingdom of S..Sol. You commanded al..l these messages be sent to you the m..moment the arrive" the stallion shook more hoping that he would be in one piece, it was a known fact that those who destrubed the Queen on her night off were punished.
Nobles were made to be servants for a day, servants would be sent to do the hardest labour and while every pony adored their Queen, she was quite terrifying when disobeyed.
"Give me the letter and its importance shall decide your fate"
The mail pony ran as fast as he could towards the Queen, gave her the letter and went into a low bow.
The Queen quickly grabbed the letter using her magic and skimmed its contents. She expected another pathetic from her sister for them to mend their bond, which it was.
Her magic was ready to destory the letter, until she saw a name, Twilight Sparkle. It was familiar and she wasn't taking any chances when it came to the past. After all her past was full of pain and nightmares.
The Alicorn quickly rang a bell summoning a servant to her chambers, in a matter of seconds a light grey earth pony appeared and dipped into a low bow. "Servant Dusty, quickly bring me my Wings." The Earth pony quickly disappeared to find the Queen's most trusted pony.
She then looked at the shaking mail pony, he cleary was expecting the worst with all of his shaking. "You are free to go" she snapped.
"Thank you, Thank you Queen Luna."
Back in the Kingdom of Sol
It was now night, Twilight noted as she looked out her window, and every pony was awake. It was the Night before the Summer Sun Celebration, the night where everypony stays awake and attends the various celebrations around the city. Including a little filly like Twilight, despite her attempts to make every pony believe she was a big pony like Sunny, Shiny and Cadance.
Twilight's house was in the noble district and she hated the stuffy ponies that her father and mother adored. Her family's was a luxurious house of Queen Celestia's Personal student and every night for the past month it was filled with yelling and agruments.
Twilight tried to stop the fighting but someone always pulled her aside and took upstairs. Tonight it was Cadance turn to watch Twilight for the night, while they were fighting. Twilight sat on a cushion on the floor and Cadance joined her, they were going to be having a tea party with Twilight's Dolls.
She pulled the pillow over her ears to block out the noise of her family fighting. "Candance, can you sing me a lullaby? I don't want to hear Shiny and Mother fighting again" asked Twilight in a small voice, no one had sung to her besides Sunny since her mother and father had seperated.
"Of course Twilight", a lovely singing voice filled the room and the filly quickly relaxed and focused on her Unicorn doll, Lady Vivian of the Books. Twilight was so distracted by her Lady Books and the soothing song. That She didn't see the green flash that appeared, in her foal sitters eyes. Or that her foal sitter had suddenly started using green magic to lift up Sir Doughnut, protector of Doughnuts and Lady Vivian.
Seline and Sol: The Third Alicorn
Chapter 2: The Very Important Letter
In Sol, 18 years later.....
In the Capital of Sol, Canterlot, the Summer Sun Celebration was beginning tonight. The Summer Sun Celebration was originally used to raise the spirits of the ponies, who had suffered or were injured when the two rulers fought over Equestria. The first part of the celebration, was staying up all night in order to apperciate the ponies, who would stay up all night in fear that they would not make it through the night. The ponies would stay up the entire night and leave offerings at the graves of all who didn't make it. They would then return to their homes and party for those who did survive. In the morning that followed Queen Celestia would raise the Sun, which reprsented dispelling the darkness that once lingered over the land and giving the ponies hope through the light.
It was the duty of the Personal Student of the Queen to organise the event, with the help of her assistant. The Ponies in question were Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle. Sunset Shimmer was the brightest of them all. She had been tutored under the Queen wing since she was a small foal. Because of her relationship with the Queen there were many rumours swirling, about the pony in question becoming a Wings and replacing Princess Cadance.
Twilight Sparkle was once treated as great as her sister, but just as she was leaving Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns. The Queen requested, that the young Unicorn assist her sister with her studies. Twilight was crushed that she could not do what she wished, but she did not wish to disappoint the Queen or Sunset. Twilight responsed with a a yes and a big smile, and the rest is history.
"Quickly! We haven't got all day! Everything needs to be perfect!" Sunset Shimmer yelled at the decorating ponies. She then turned to her sister and spoke in a much nicer tone, "Twilight, what is the name of the head planner? I need a meeting immediately".
"Her name is Pinkie Pie, this is her first time holding an event in Canterlot. She should be arriving shortly with the other staff requested from Ponyville" Twilight said, while checking her list and information given to her about the party pony. She handed the infomation to her sister so she could read it herself and see if there was any infomation missed.
"Inform me when they arrive, you be on the look out for them so you can tick them off your list and afterwards, if there is nothing to do you can go to the library" Twilight got all excited at this, she did love ticking items off her list and she wouldn't have to interact with any pony besides the staff and afterwards she could go to the library "I'll be with the staff already here." Sunset said and then when back yelling at the staff who was decorating.
Twilight nodded and left the throne room, and raced to the enterance of the Castle. She wanting to be waiting for her guests and not be tardy. Twilight hated that word, she was never tardy.
She arrived at the enterance of the castle and went outside, she began admiring the Ponies at work. The Pegasus were flying around arranging clouds and clearing the skies for tomorrow's Sun, The Earth Ponies were decorating and gardening, Twilight noticed them watering flowers that she had never noticed before. She took a picture in her mind so she could research them later, and the Unicorns were adding wards and other spells for protection, she noted with disappointment that her brother was not there.
Twilight was decided to sit in the sun and observe the ponies and work, she wanted to see if she could learn anything from the ponies hard at work by observing. She pulled out a notepad to make notes and began making sure everything was running on schedule.
"OH MY GOSH!!!, LOOK ITS CANTERLOT CASTLE AND I GET TO PLAN THE BIGGEST PAARRTTY!!" A voice sqealed in the distance, Twilight looked at the pony in question. She was a Pink Earth Pony with a Pink mane and had ballons for her cutie mark. There were two ponies next to her, a orange Earth pony and a yellow Pegasus. She sighed in relief when she saw the guards approach, it would be nice to be able to continue waiting in peace and quiet and maybe even get some studying done.
"Sorry bout her, we're here to meet a pony named Twilight Sparkle" the orange said in a sourthern accent, while showing the guard pony a piece of paper. That the Earth pony had pulled from her saddle bag. The guard pony pointed towards her, and took all of Twilight's strength not to run off and tell Sunset there were three imposters claiming to be the staff hired from Ponyville and let her sister handle it, while she hid in the library with her books with her sanity.
The closer they got, the louder Twilight said her matra in her head. Keep in together Sparkle just dump them on Sunset and the you can spend the rest of the day studying.
Until they were right in front of her, Twilight kept repeating those words. Now she was ready and focused on them, The orange pony began talking, "Hi my name is Applejack, and this her' is Pinkie Pie" the pink Earth pony jumped up and down "and this is Fluttershy" the yellow Pegasus hid shyly behind her hair " we're the ponies from Ponyville and may I just say we're all mighty honored to have been chosen" Applejack said with a smile. Handing over the documentation as proof, Twilight slowly pulled out her checklist and gave each pony name a small tick next to it, today wasn't so bad after all Twilight thought happily.
"Hi, my name is Twilight Sparkle..." Applejack then grabbed her hoof and began shaking it. "Please let go" yelled Twilight, in fear of her hoof falling off from the Earth pony's strong grip.
"Sorry Sugarcube, I forget my own strength. I'm charge of catering for this fancy event, care to sample some" Applejack said gesturing to the cart behind her full of apple treats that Twilight had not noticed till then.
"And I'm in charge of paaartying" Pinkie then started pulling out what appeared to be a cannon.
Twilight backed away slowly and accidentally knocked into the quiet Pegasus.
"What about you?" Twilight asked, as the pony in question had not said her part yet.
"Umm I'm in charge of .......animals and singing" Fluttershy whispered, impossible to hear by a normal pony ear.
"Sorry, what was that"
"....."
"Fluttershy is very shy, she's in charge of the singing birds" Applejack interjected, gesturing to the birds on the pony back.
"I see, well we best get a move on we can't be late" Twilight said, before walking away hoping the others would follow and they wouldn't have to waste any time. The Three immediately followed, and once inside the castle. The Ooh's and Aah's began, the were mostly from Pinkie but the other Earth pony seemed equally impressed. While the Pegasus just trailed behind only taking interest in anything to do with nature or animals.
Twilight on the other hoof, wasn't impressed and tried to quicken her pace so the others would too. Unfortunately that plan didn't work, finally after many stops and a thousand questions, again mostly from Pinkie. Twilight saw Sunset, she could finally drop these three off and disapear into th library.
"Sunny" she cried hoping to grab the Unicorn's attention, before anymore incidents happened like her losing her sanity.
When her sister finally turned and faced her, she felt like Celestia herself was smiling down her, Twilight's relief was so great.
"Twilight welcome back" Sunset said with a smile before turning to her sister's companions. "Are you the staff from Ponyville?"
"We sure are, we're also Twilight's friends" Applejack stated proudly.
Sunset raised her eyebrow at this. Twilight was a massive introvert and dispite every ponys best efforts, she remained friendless.
Sunset and Shining had always worried that their sister would forsake friendship, and be forever alone with her books. Sunset turned and faced Twilight to see her reaction, she had her mouth dropped open.
Sunset knew Twilight didn't see these ponies as friends, like they did her. She then decided it for the best, that Twilight be given the push she needed to make some friends. "I see, since these Ponies know you Twilight, why do you take them to their station while I have my meeting with Miss Pinkie"
Sunset smirked when she say the orange Earth pony and yellow Pegasus leave the room with the reluctant Unicorn. She saw Twilight's death glare directed at her, and she started laughing. She would thank her one day.
"This is the kitchen where you can begin your catering service, if you need anything you can ask Sugar Belle." Twilight stated in a hurry to leave these ponies and get revenge on her sister.
"Thanks Sugarcube, you sure you don't want to sample any of mah delicious treats?"
"No thank you, I'm afraid I have to go help Fluttershy get to her station" Twilight said, while looking at the Pegasus pony who hadn't said a single word in the entire time.
"Well, I'll see you at the celebration" Applejack said before heading to her workstation and beginning to prepare for tonight. Twilight left the kitchen quickly with the shy Pegasus. They arrived at the stage outside where the Queen would be raising the sun.
Twilight walked to the stage and gestured to the pony made tree, where the birds would be sitting. "So... This is your station, I can't wait to hear you preform" Twilight said, trying to be polite.
"......"
She began to walk off eager to leave the Pegasus pony, when a small creature walked into her. "Twilight!! Queen Celestia asked me to deliver a message to you and Miss Sunset." Twilight looked down at the small figure. She saw Spike the baby dragon, with a letter in his claw.
"Oh my gosh, is that a baby dragon!!" Fluttershy said, knocking Twilight and the very important letter out of the way.
"Why yes i am" Spike said with a smile at Twilight. Twilight picked up the letter using her magic and ran towards Spike.
Twilight quickly picked up Spike using her magic and dropped him on her back, "Well its been very nice meeting you, but we really must go find my sister"
Fluttershy looked as if she wanted to agrue and follow them, so she could continue to speak to the baby dragon. "Don't you want to find your birds?" Twilight asked, slowly edging away from the Pegasus.
Fluttershy then gasped and took to the skies to find her birds. Twilight let another sigh of relief and quickly ran to her sister, before she ran into any other crazy ponies.
"Sunny!!" Twilight screamed as she ran into the throne room, she knew it was immature but she wanted her sister's attention.
Sunset left the decorating ponies, again, and Pinkie Pie, who didn't notice because she was busy with her party cannon. She turned toward her sister, and noticed Spike on her back with a letter in his claw. It must have been important if Spike was with her, instead of petty revenge. "Back Again Twilight, I thought you would have been with your friends." She then turned to Spike who was still on her sister's back "Spike, is that letter for me?"
"Yes, Miss Sunset" Spike said as he tried to hand her the letter, Sunset used her magic to rip it from his claws. Causing him to fall off Twilight's back, Twilight grabbed him with her magic and glared at Sunset again.
Sunset rolled her eyes and read the letter,
Dear my most Faithful Student,
I request that you, Sunset Shimmer and your sister, Twilight Sparkle. Join me for lunch today, to discuss some very important chnages to the celebrations.
From her royal highness
Twilight saw Sunset read the letter and she patiently waited for her sister to finish reading the letter during this the letter. During this time, she looked in her saddle bags and pulled out a Ruby for the young dragon knowing it would cheer him up.
She presented the Ruby to him and he quickly began sucking and chewing the gem. She then pulled out the books, she was reading on the plants before and sat on the floor, not caring about all the chaos going on around her.
"Twilight?" Sunset asked
"Hmm...Yes, Sunset what is it? Twilight said, closing the book.
"Did you read the letter?"
"No, I can read it now." Twilight opened her saddlebag again and searched for the letter. She finally found the letter within a few minute of searching, thanks to her organisation. The letter was ruined and covered in dirt, from when she fell on the floor. Twilight almost began crying, she had ruined the Queen's letter and was going to be thrown in a dungeon or be sent back to magic kindergarten.
"Twilight its going to be okay" Sunset soothing big sister voice, to calm Twilight down. "I have the letter as well and all it says is that we are going to have lunch with the Queen to discuss changes to the Celebration"
"WHAT?!!" Twilight screamed,she would reorganise everything.
Twilight sat in on the cushion, beside her sister waiting for the Queen to arrive for their meeting. The door suddenly swung open and she saw the Queen enter, both Sunset and herself stood up and went into a low bow. "Sunset, Twilight please rise" the Alicorn said, taking a seat across from them. Both Unicorns sat again at their seats. The Servants arrived, all Unicorns, and were carrying several plates. Under these plates, were salads, sandwiches and slices of cake.
They then began to eat the food from the fabulous spread in front of them. They sat in silence for a long period but it wasn't awkward. "Your Magjesty, why did you call us here?" Sunset asked, while Twilight nearly had a panic attack. Because Sunset had interupted the Queen's lunch. She was prepared to defend her sister and offer herself. The Queen stood tall and walked towards the window. Twilight was very surprised when, the Queen answered Sunset's question.
"Yesterday late at night, I received a message from our sister kingdom. They have invited us to attend their celebration as a sign of peace and I would like you the two of you to attend this meeting with Shining Armor" both Twilight and Sunset got very excited at this, they hadn't seen their brother in a long time. The Queen continued to speak "and Princess Cadance along with staff, who I think will be very helpful. I will send you a list later of who will be attending" Twilight watched as her sister nearly turn into flames at the mention of Princess Cadance.
"I will not go if you invite, Princess I WANNA RUIN YOUR LIFE" Sunset Screamed at the Queen, the Servants and guards nearly fainted at the sight. Twilight curled up in a ball, as Sunset kept screaming. The Queen merely did not say a word and watched her student. Then the door opened and two figures were shown Shining Armor and Princess Cadance.
Twilight watched from her crouched position, Sunset was screaming at ever royal. Shining was yelling at Sunset and the Royals were observing, waiting for the petty fight to end. She couldn't take it any longer, the fight was taking her back to the past. To times she did not want to remeber, as she began to remeber. Her magic lashed out, silencing them all.
"Aunty" Celestia placed a barrier around the four ponies, including herself. Princess Cadenza gathered the unconscious Unicorn in her hooves and placed her on her back. The poor filly had exhausted herself using magic that was called on using her emotions. As Princess of Emotions, she calmed the young Unicorn down, so when she woke she would feel calm and relaxed, and did the same for the other two. She saw the Precious Celestia, leacture both Shining Armor and Sunset Shimmer. Cadance now had two new targets to manipulate, her "Aunt's" Student would be especially easy due to all the anger she was giving out. She put on her prettiest Princess voice and faced her "dear aunt". "Aunty, allow me to escort them back to their rooms. I shall make sure this treaty is a success and will benefit both kingdoms" said Cadance, putting a fake determined look in her eyes.
"Excellent, the train to Seline leaves early tonight, I'm relying on you to make sure they all arrive on time" Queen Celestia said, giving her niece a I'm serious face. The Queen's Student looked even more agitated now, with her moment to shine at the Celebration gone. She would be very easy to manipulate indeed Cadance thought with a wicked smile that no pony noticed.
She trotted out of Celestia's room and the two ponies followed. Escorting each to their room, in the castle. Cadenza then headed to Twilight's room, to drop off the exhausted Unicorn, who was still unconscious and on the Princess back.
She opened the door and walked towards the bed. Candenza placed the purple Unicorn in her bed and kissed her on the forehead. She then set the alarm clock, that Twilight kept on her bedside table, to make sure Twilight would not miss the train to Seline. Soon Cadance thought Soon everything that had been stolen from her would be returned. She then walked into the shadows in the corner of Twilight's room and disapeared.
Seline and Sol: The Third Alicorn
Twilight sat on the train, she was in a section with Sunset, Shiny and Cadance. She was sitting next to Sunset and across from them was Shining and Cadance.
Twilight looked out the window to avoid witnessing a scene like before, with her siblings fighting and her losing control of her magic. Out the window she saw Canterlot slowly became smaller, Twilight felt her heart tighten. She had never been so far away from home. She knew her companions travelled frequently, Shiny had travelled far as a guard, Cadance travelled as a Princess and Sunset had occasionally been the Queen's reprsentative. They all seemed immune from home sickness unlike her. She did not have much in Canterlot, like friends and loving parents. But it still was home to her.
Twilight leaned back on her seat, she had also never missed a celebration at Canterlot either. The view outside the window started to turn blurry. The faster the train moved, the less Twilight could see. Until she could no longer see the city she loved. She was forced to look inside and deal with inside of the train, instead of the outside.
It was silent in the train carriage, as they were in the Royal Class. This section of the train was reserved for Celestia's guests and only for those on official business, despite the nobility attempts to use it for their own gain.
Twilight hated having to travel in this section, she wasn't any better then any pony else and she wasn't anyone special like Cadance, Shiny and Sunny. She wished she was on the train with Spike, but instead she was forced to deal Sunset, Cadance and Shiny tension and agruments. At the moment Sunny giving Cadance the death glare and Shiny giving Sunset the death glare while Cadance was simply smiling as if all was right in the world and she couldn't feel the tension.
She opened her book, determined to not let the tension bother her like before and instead decided to read what was known about the kingdom of Seline. She had studied the subject once with Sunny and her majesty when she was much younger, and had only discovered the most basic of infomation.
The Kingdom of SelineSeline, often referred to as the Kingdom of the Night. It is referred to as the kingdom of the Night because of the Ruler, an evil Alicorn. The evil Alicorn is oftened referred to as Nightmare, because of the Nightmare she causes to her subjects. It had also been revealed that she is part vampony, which is why she hates our majestic Queen so much......
Twilight could hardly believe that this was considered infomation about Seline. It was mostly made up infomation about the Queen. There was no such thing as vampony. She skimmed through the other books she had brought with her about Seline. No wonder the Queen had refused a treaty until now, the citizens of Sol believed that it was made up of vamponys and the ruler was evil without any proof. Twilight decided when she would discover the truth about Seline and would get an actual book from Seline about Seline. Twilight would also try to get all these books burned, she cringed at such a thought but it was necessary.
Cadance handed her a cup of something, that tasted like her favourite cup of tea, but stronger. Twilight looked around the train, her mind was unable to focus on anything beside her books which she could not read as she was constantly being distracted by her yawns. She wasn't well rested with all the late nights, organising the schedule for Sunset, and her unconscious state earlier today. "Guys, I think I'm going to sleep through the rest of the trip, can somepony wake me up when we arrive" Twilight asked.
"Of course, Twilight" Princess Cadance responded, eager to help.
Twilight then nodded to the rest of the group, who were still engulfed in their staring contest. Finally at the cabin, she tucked herself into bed using magic and finally fell asleep.
The train finally reached the final station, they would have to stay at a hotel for the night and then walk the rest of the way to Seline. Princess Cadance walked towards the cabins at the end of the train, to wake up the Twilight. She looked so peaceful asleep Cadance noted, it would be a shame to wake her up now. Cadance conjured her magic and used it to control the driver to take a break. She was so glad she inserted some of her magic into his mind, when she first saw at the train station.
Cadenza conjured her magic again to asert her limited control over her "companions". They would head to the hotel and go to sleep, knowing that Twilight and Cadance would be along shortly. She had all the time in the world to spend with Twilight now, even if Twilight was not awake to enjoy it as she did. She looked so peaceful in her sleep, Cadance wanted her to feel like that always. Twilight had looked so tired recently, Cadance had decided to take charge and put some sleeping drops in her tea.
"My Queen" A voice called from the shadows of the cabin.
Cadance turned towards the shadows, "you know you are not suppose to disturb me when I am with Twilight" Cadance screamed with the emotion swarming her, the strong emotions caused her disguise to fade away. Her greatest fear was coming to light because of this drone. Twilight would never view her the same if she realised her true nature. Twilight, thankfully, was asleep and would not see her this way ever.
"My Queen, control yourself. I apologize for distrubing your time with Twilight Sparkle but it was important. Your beloved has requested a meeting" the shadows responsed. Chrysalis controlled herself and resumed the form of Cadance, she would need to take more love from the fools to regain more power. It was a shame she was seperated from her "dear Aunt", a Alicorn's love was very fulfilling.
"What did he say? Did he speak of his plans?" Cadance responded.
"No, he did not my Queen. But he did request a meeting, and a photograph of the child"
"I see, inform him I am on my way to Seline and will begin phase 1 of the plan. Inform him, that I will send warrior Hetalia when am ready and as for photograph, send him a recent photo from my private collection"
"Yes my Queen, I am also concerned about you being alone on this mission. I recommend that you have a warrior or lower drone accompany you. Disguise them as a pony in your personal staff and I will send one of the more gifted to remove that pony from Canterlot and manipulate the rest into believing they were gone from the beginning"
"I agree, that is why at the beginning of this trip. I wrote to "dear Aunty" Celestia requesting to bring one of my own staff along"
"Who?"
"Warrior Hetalia, of course. Now leave me, and inform my beloved of everything"
"Of course my Queen, I will drop off the necessary documents to your suite at the castle when you arrive. I look forward to our next meeting." The shadows became less dark and talkative, once the presence left.
Cadance looked down at the Unicorn, it was time to go to the hotel. Her control on the other Unicorns wasn't as strong as she liked and if she returned when they were awake they would begin to ask questions. Where were they? Why did we not wait?, these questions would eventually break the fragile control she had over them.
With a heavy heart she lifted Twilight on her back, and sent a short message to the driver. The train could continue to move to its next destination.
The Princess arrived at the hotel. The village , that the hotel was in, was in the middle of both kingdoms. There were sereval villages like that refused to fully join either kingdom for several reasons. The main reason was no pony wanted to give up there home. Cadance quickly found out where both Twilight and herself would be staying. She trotted to Twilight's Room and dropped Unicorn into her bed, once making sure Twilight was safe. Cadance left quickly, Twilight would need her rest and Cadance would make sure that Twilight had a large breakfast to make up for the lack of dinner.
She exited the room and entered her own. Cadance secured it using her magic, she could finally be herself.
"What do you from me, My Queen?" A tall changeling asked. The changling was wearing black armor which was decorated with green. There was a sword attached to armor.
"Become a pony and pretend to be my guard." She floated over the documents that were beside her using her green magic "This highlights everything about your mission and expect to be ready at a moments notice"
"Yes My Queen, I will see you in the morning My Queen" the changeling bowed and turned into a female Unicorn guard, she removed her armor. The Unicorn guard placed the sword and armor in front of the Princess.
"Refer to me as Princess during this trip, Hetalia or you will ruin everything" Chrysalis said in a firm voice, nothing could go wrong.
Twilight awoke, she felt strange and restful. She hadn't felt like this in a long time, her recent weeks had full of stress because of her duties as Sunset's assistant. Sunset wanted everything to be perfect because she wanted the credit she deserved. Twilight knew that Sunset dreamed of being an Wings like Cadance, and would stop at nothing to achieve this goal.
Twilight had tried to convice Sunset that she should let it go, but is seemed her sister was filled with arrogrance and envy. She couldn’t think of her sister anymore, because she didn't know how to help her. Twilight looked at the room she had been given; it was a medium sized room that had a small bed, desk, a mirror, an ensuite and various pieces of artwork featuring the Night. The moon was craved into the walls and there were several stars on the roof. The books had got one thing right so far, it was definitely a kingdom of the Night.
Twilight entered the en suite determined to make sure this day was successful, the fate of Sol depended on it she thought. Twilight wore one of the outfits the Queen demanded they wear, it was a yellow dress with the Kingdom's crest, the Queen's cutie mark, in the middle of her chest and she shoes with Sol crest as well.
Sweet Celestia! Twilight thought she hated wearing clothes.
She left her room ready to face the others, hoping they didn't notice her discomfort. As she walked down the hall, towards the dining room, she passed one of the room's and saw a powerful green glow. Curiosity compelled her to take a look, after all she knew no pony with green magic. She began peeking through the cracks, but it was covered in darkness. That made her more supscious, it was early morning surely the light from the sun would be shining into the room. She was getting ready to carefully slip into the room when a pony touched her shoulder. This caused Twilight to jump and ingite her magic, preparing to defend herself.
"Forgive me your ladyship" A blue Unicorn said, lowering herself into a bow.
"Ah....Its fine" Twilight said, looking closely at the Unicorn. She was dressed in a type of armor but it was unlike any she had ever seen. "Wait who are you? And why do you call me your ladyship?"
"My name is Warrior Hetalia and you are Lady Twilight Sparkle. It is an honor to serve." the Unicorn responsed, with a blank look in her eye.
A figure then jumped in front of Twilight, as if knowing she was uncomfortable in this situation. "Hetalia stop scaring Twilight" the figure then turned to Twilight, it was Cadance! "Are you alright? I apologize for Hetalia behavior. I must have spoken of you so much that Hetalia views you as family" Cadance said, but there was something different about her. She had this sparkle in her eye that Twilight could not identify.
"Its fine Cadance, I view you as family too. Besides I see the way Shiny looks at you, one day you might be my sister in law." Twilight said with a smile, waving off the guards apologies. It was a happy thought to have the peace keeper become part of her family. Cadance had always been there for Twilight, through thick and thin.
"I see..." Cadenza responsed, obviously deep in thought. Twilight then remembered the real reason she was there when she looked at the stoic Unicorn.
"Cadance, do you know whose room this is?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, it is mine. Why?"
"I just saw something strange happen in that room."
"Oh don't worry about that, I just had the manager in there to fix the lights and he had green magic. Dont worry everything is okay" Cadance said, placing a hoof under Twilight's chin. The more Twilight thought about it the more it makes sense. What other reason could there be and Cadance would never lie to her.
"Now let's go down for breakfast" Cadance said removing her hoof and nodded to Hetalia.
As Twilight walked down to breakfast with Cadance and Hetalia, she was deep in thought. How did Cadance know she was worried about the green magic?
Sunset sat at the small desk she had been given. Trying to figure out what had happened, she felt strange ever since last night, she had left Twilight to go with Shining and didn't even stay awake and wait for her. Sunset knew that Twilight would be okay, but she didn't know how she knew.
It was like how she knew Cadance was a traitor, she just didn't know how she knew. None of evidence she had against Cadance proved this, they only proved Cadnace trying to become a part of her family and replace Sunset. Sunset had once gone to the Queen about this and the Queen of course took her niece's side and abandoned her student and stopped caring. Sunset had gone to other such as her "friends" and her brother but no one believed her. The only pony she didn't go to was Twilight because she didn't want Twilight to be crushed, finding out that your role model was a fraud.
Sunset researched Wings, over and over and over again. She discovered that Wings were the Queens most trusted pony and without trust, the Wings would lose there magic and slowly fade away and the honor would be given to somepony else. When Cadance screwed up, Who else deserved it more then Celestia's most faithful and trusted student.
Ever since reading this, Sunset had a plan. She would ruin the treaty and find a way to place the blame on Cadance. Sunset had already begun her first step, the staff that Cadance had selected were the staff from Ponyville, she informed the ponies that they were not to take the express train that everypony else had taken.
There failure to show, would reflect badly on Cadance for choosing badly and ruin her.
Now it was time to eat breakfast and begin stage one of her plan. Sunset would lead them to greatness and Cadenza would fall.
Seline and Sol: The Third Alicorn
Sunset trotted into the dining hall, it was quite small compared to what she was use to at the castle. The dining hall, at the hotel, had seven circular tables that could fit five ponies on each table. The tables and chairs were made of cheap wood, and Sunset could see the wood chipping on some of the tables. On each table there was a different coloured sheet. Sunset scanned the room for her family and the traitor, she saw everypony sitting at a table with a purple sheet on top. As she trotted towards the group, Sunset saw more cracks and chipping on the walls and tables. She was slightly disgusted by the cheapness of this place. She was Celestia's only student, didn't she deserve the best?.
As she approached the table she saw that in the middle of each table, there was a tall tower of pancakes. "Sunny! Good morning" Twilight called out quietly.
"Good Morning Twi" Sunset said as she took her seat next to Shining and a pony she hadn't seen before. Had her plan failed? Had one of the staff made it on time after all? Had this pony ratted her out already? Sunset decided to play it cool. She turned to face the Unicorn, analysing her. She had a light shade of blue for her coat and had a dark blue mane with a single black streak, her cutie mark was a black sword and she had a blue and pink set of armor on, that Sunset had never seen before and Sunset knew the guards very well through her dates and her brother. "Who is this?" Sunset asked in a cool and calm voice.
To her surprise the Unicorn answered her, instead of somepony else like she expected. "My name is Hetalia, loyal servant to Princess Cadance"
Nopony had told her that Princess Cadance had been bringing staff of her own. Sunset didn't even know that Cadance had her own guards. Now she had to act before it was too late, ignoring breakfast again, she turned to Cadance.
"Queen Celestia, told me that you were in charge of organising the staff for this trip. Where are they?" Sunset said, waiting to see Cadance fail.
"Thank you for reminding me Sunset. Queen Celestia wrote to me and said they had been a mistake regarding the transportation for the staff for this journey
Twilight immediately abandoned her breakfast and raced through her goodbyes and I'll see you later speech. She had one day to research the Middle Towns and she didn't want to waste a minute. All she knew was from Cadance and the Queen, The Middle Towns were known as the Towns in between Seline and Sol. In these Towns both citizens of Seline and Sol lived together.
Twilight was so excited she felt she was flying she was moving so fast. After passing several buildings she found it, the library.
Twilight entered, but a brown hoof stopped her. "Identification please" Twilight turned and faced the voice, he has a short brown Unicorn with a green mane and was pointing to a slip of paper around his neck as he stopped her.
"What?....I mean Sorry why do I need Identification?"
"You must be new, this town has two different types of ponies, the first is citizens of Sol and the second is citizens of Seline. In this town you can only enter a shop if you are a citizen of the proper kingdom or have the proper identification. This is a Sol library which only excepts certain ponies. The Nightcrawlers have their library on the outskirts of town, where a lot of them live."
Twilight couldn't believe that middle towns lived in such seperation. She didn't want to be in this town anymore and she wanted to bring up such behavior with the Queen. She put it on her mental clicklist to remember for later.
Twilight didn't want to supprt this but she needed her research. "I'm a citizen of Sol from Canterlot but I have no Identification. How do I get this?" Twilight said pointing to the piece of paper.
The brown Unicorn looked much welcoming after that, "Canterlot is the heart of our lovely kingdom and anypony from there is most welcome here. Unfortunately rules are rules and you still need Identification. Head to the main office, they'll clear you."
He drew a quick map using his magic, and gave her lots of flattery since she announced her birthplace.
Twilight ran out of that library like her tail was on fire, she didn't want to be treated better because of her birthplace. Even if she was born in the heart of the kingdom. Using the small map she navigated herself through the town. She noticed many ponies wearing paper around their necks and showing if off, as if it made them more important. Twilight also noticed everpony was avoiding her after noticing her lack of paper.
Twilight arrived at the Town Hall, the building was the newest looking building on the block. It was made of wood like every other building and had the symbol of both Seline and Sol, on the outside it looked welcoming and supported both countries equally. It was time to begin her investigation.
She walked inside and saw ques of ponies, with several lines designated to being identified. Others were lines were designated to Insurance, Help, Complaints and Other.
Twilight waited in the Identified lines, she noticed many ponies in these lines were being sent away immediately, were these the "Nightcrawlers?".
"Next!" A orange middle aged mare called with grey hair. She had a blank look on her face and the rest of her face was obscured with thick black glasses.
"Hi my name is Twilight Sparkle and I'm here to be Identified"
"Really?" The middle aged pony asked in a sacastic voice, "Residence"
"Canterlot Castle"
"Excellent, you are able to apply. Please to one of the rooms when your number is announced." The orange Earth pony handed her a number, it was 37.
All she wanted was a book Twilight thought with a sigh. She waited a few hours reading through a book that she brought with her for luck. It was the history of Equestria and how it was destroyed.
"Number 37! Number 37!" A young yellow Pegasus, with white hair.
That's me Twilight thought as she jumped up and raced towards the Pegasus. She didn't want to waste her one day in the Middle towns. The Pegasus led her to a small room with the basic needs, such as a desk, filing cabinet and chairs.
"Please take a seat. Now Miss Sparkle, I understand that you wish to be Identified and have already passed the first step but I'm afraid that I can not Identify you"
"Why not? Did I fail the test"
"No of course not Miss Sparkle, Miss Armor came here early this morning and got you and himself Identified. He must have just left."
Twilight's mane started to turn into flames, as she chased after her sister. She would find her and get that pass if that was the last thing she did.
Shinging Armor was trotting down the street. It was a beautiful day and he had the whole day to himself. The first thing he decided to do was finish breakfast and then get his family Identified, the Queen had notified him that they would need this if they were to buy anything in this town. He carried the identification passes in his magic.
Twily would be so happy, she would be able to go to the library. At the library they would be books Twily would have never read before.
Shinging would then be able to spend his Identification on buying foreign chocolates and sweets for Cadance. Hoping she would finally accept his offer to go out for doughnuts back at Canterlot.
Nothing could spoil this day he thought happily. Then out of nowhere a pile of flames zoned passed him and snatched Twilight's identification pass. He was about to follow until he saw it head to the library, it was Twilight. Shining vision then turned black, terrfied that his baby sister actually turned into a ball of flames.
"Umm Ma'am, I know you requested nothing but prehaps you would like a glass of water." A green Unicorn asked, who was a library assistant
"Why do I look thristy to you?"
"No...I mean not really ma'am it's just that your on fire"
Twilight then gave him a death glare and ahe watched as he fled away from her. She was not on fire, she was cooling down there was a difference. She was researching Seline and so far all she had found was the awful books she already had. She had to get more infomation from the source, it was time to head to the edge of town in search of the Nightcrawlers library.
Twilight looked for the brown she had meant during her first trip. She found him at the enterance blocking a familiar yellow Pegasus pony entry.
"Where is your Identification?" He asked in a harsh voice, the opposite to how he had treated her.
"Here sir" the yellow Pegasus pulled a slip of paper from her saddle bag.
"A half breed, let's hope your Sol side shows. Lime Pages will show you the books your allowed access to" the brown Unicorn said pointing towards the green Unicorn.
The Green Unicorn pulled a box out and handed it to the Pegasus, it was full of Children books. It was a disgrace no pony should be robbed of books.
"Hey! What are you doing?" Twilight asked, the Unicorn.
"I was helping this Pegasus understand her place"
"You can't rob her of books"
"That's it, your both kicked out" the brown Unicorn yelled, obviously use to getting his way.
I was kicked out, how could I be kicked out. I've never been kicked out of a library, this js going to be on my permanent record and all libraries are going to think I'm a troublemaker and need to be kicked out Twilight thought, as her breathe quicken.
"Umm Excuse me" the yellow Pegasus said, getting Twilight's attention.
She looked at the Pegasus, she had a long pink mane and three pink butterflies for her cutie mark. She looked familiar....
"You're the Pegasus from Ponyville, Right? Your name was Fluttershy" remembering the shy Pegasus she met at Canterlot. "What are you doing here? Do you live in Ponyville?" Twilight asked.
The Pegasus looked uncomfortable and was hiding her face behind her mane. It was then Twilight realised all the ponies looking at them and whispering. "Prehaps we can talk somewhere else, do you know the way to the Nightcrawlers?" She saw Fluttershys eyes widen at the word Nightcrawler, but nodded her head and gestured with her hoof to follow her.
Twilight followed the Pegasus in absolute silence, the further they walked the quieter the it became. The ponies slowly disapeared and the buildings were becoming more neglected the closer they walked to the Nightcrawlers library.
Fluttershy walked towards the worse parts of town. She trembled when she saw the ponies whisper about her behind her back. Fluttershy wished she could be back in Ponyville, with her animals and her friends.
She arrived at the library and hoped that she had displeased the Unicorn. Fluttershy had her rumors of what happened to half breeds and Nightcrawlers. She cringed at such a degoeatory word, Fluttershy tried to hide her reaction before because she knew how much the Sol ponies enjoyed there reactions.
Fluttershy noted that the Unicorn had not said anything and was just staring. She curled into a little ball preparing for the worst.
Twilight watched as the Pegasus stopped in front of the library. This library was much older then the library in the town square, it was small, and had a set of stairs leading to the door. The small library surrounded by dead trees, there was graffiti on the front and on several of the stairs. The graffiti said things like "Nightcrawlers" "Go back where you came from" "Bloodsuckers".
Twilight was in shock, how could ponies do this. She thought of what she could do, how she would feel if this was her. Twilight remebered how shy the Pegasus was when the first met, was this because of the Middle Town treatment.
Twilight turned to face the Pegasus and saw her crying. Twilight was unsure how to proceed, how did she comfort the Pegasus? Did the Pegasus want to be comforted? Did her parents use the self soothing method? Should Twilight?
"HEY! What do you think your doing" yelled a gruff voice, interupting Twilight's inner panic. Thank Celestia she thought this pony could take care of the crying Pegasus. She turned to face him, eager to hand the Pegasus over to someone else.
The gruff voice belonged to a cloaked figure, he was slowly moving towards them. She started to move towards him. "Stay where you are! Your identified with the Sun's crest" he said while pointing toawrds the piece of paper around Twilight's neck. "You and your kind stay away from here." Twilight decided to back away slightly from cloaked figure.
"Fluttershy, is that you darling? What did this Sun pony do to you" the cloaked figure asked in a kind voice. The crying Pegasus turned towards the cloaked figure and hugged him. The figure turned towards Twilight, with Fluttershy still in his hooves" "You did something to her! I know it..."
Fluttershy wiggled out of the figure's hooves and moved in between the two ponies. "ENOUGH... I m-mean cousun she is not like the others." The cloaked figure backed away from Twilight and Fluttershy. Twilight felt a bit lighter with those words. The Pegasus...Fluttershy stood up and protected her.
"I am sorry darling, forgive me miss Unicorn there are many from your country who wish us harm. My name is Draco Nightshine, What is your name, Miss Unicorn?"
"My name is Twilight Sparkle, not Miss Unicorn" Twilight replied with a scowl, she hated nicknames. Especially since she had so many throughout her childhood, know it all, teachers pet and many more.
"Yes, of course. Now I have a question Miss Twilight are you her you here to help us? Or are you here to go to the library, research and be on your merry way."
Twilight had to think, she couldn't be rash. This was about more then her wanting to go to the library, which was her original goal. Twilight had to get to the treaty, she had to bring peace. It would not only destory any chance of peace, but it would also destory both Sunset and Cadance. She didn't know if she could risk a nation's peace for ponies suffering, Twilight had to make a descion.
She looked at Fluttershy and Draco, who was still hidden under his cloak. She had to know the truth before she made any decisions, she had to know what she was risking.
"Tell me your story" Twilight commanded, the both looked at one another and Fluttershy nodded.
"I-I will" Fluttershy stated, but before she could open her mouth. She began shaking and crying unable to say a word. Twilight watched as Draco comforted her and hugging her.
"I will tell Fluttershy's story in her place." Draco said still comforting the weeping Fluttershy.
Seline and Sol: The Third Alicorn
Chapter 5: The Nightmare Manor
"Fluttershy was born in Seline, outside this very village. She was the daughter of Rose Sky and Cloud Shy.
Cloud Shy and Rose Sky were deeply in love, but had many secrets between them. One of the many secrets was that Rose Sky was a citizen of Sol. Not a citizen of Seline like Cloud, after Rose Sky revealing her secret. They moved to the Middle Towns so their daughter could understand both kingdoms. However once the identification papers showed Fluttershy's true parentage as a half breed. Once the town learned of this they acted and went to Rose Sky's family."
Fluttershy listened as Draco told her story, she remembered it like it was yesterday. She closed her eyes and let the memories wash over her.
"A young Fluttershy crept into the heart of town. Her mama and papa gave her a special mission, to collect vegetables from the market. Fluttershy was very nervous and wanted to do this quickly. After this trip, her parents promised to tell her a surprise.
As Fluttershy approached the tomato stand, eager to place her two bits and then go. As she left the stand, a pony tapped her shoulder "young miss?", Fluttershy nervously turned to face the pony, there were two ponies. The first pony was a Unicorn in a suit and top hat. The second pony was a Pegasus, in a dress. The Unicorn was a grey with a green mane and the Pegasus was yellow with a grey mane.
"Young miss? Could you help us, we're a bit lost." The Pegasus said in a kind voice. "My name is Sunflower Shine and this is my brother Breeze. We're looking for our sister, can you help us? We've been looking for her for such a long time." Fluttershy looked at the photograph, she wanted to help the kind ponies and she didn't want a family to be separated.
In the photo, was her mother flying through the sky with a giant smile. Her mother was going to be so happy to be reunited with her family. Fluttershy nodded her head and pointed in the direction of her home. Her trip was a quiet one, except the ponies behind her were whispering. "S-She lives here" Fluttershy said.
"Would you call her for us? We want to surprise her." Fluttershy of course nodded and went inside to find her mother.
"Mama, I have a surprise for you." On that cue the two nice ponies walked into the room, the moment mama saw them she went pale and reached for Fluttershy. The Unicorn grabbed Fluttershy, she looked up at the Unicorn. Why were they doing this? Fluttershy started to struggle. She wanted to go to her mama.
"Stop that sweetie, we will be out of there in a minute." Her Uncle Breeze said.
"Don't talk to her Breeze. You b-"
"Not in front of the children, Dear Rose. Now can we have a civilized conversation or will we have to do this the hard way."
"I'll never talk to you and I'll never go with you. Now give me my daughter."
"I think not, goodnight Fluttershy. I do not think you should see the next bit. Hold her will you Sunflower, when she's asleep." No I can't leave mama Fluttershy thought, trying to fight the sleep spell. Mama! Mama!...MA...M...
"Fluttershy, stop. Don't do this to yourself." Draco said, breaking Fluttershys trip down memory lane.
Her cousin wrapped a wing around her. While she tried to compose herself, which seemed impossible because of the terrible memories.
Twilight watched as Fluttershy cried herself to sleep, Draco picked her up on his back and then turned to Twilight. "Let's go inside, shall we and I will tell you the rest of the story."
Draco turned and walked up the stairs, with Fluttershy on his back."be careful walking up the stairs. Some are broken."
Twilight walked up the stairs, and opened the damaged door. Inside there was a few shelves, several chairs and a fireplace. "Let us sit by the fireplace, I'll find a match. Can you watch Fluttershy for me?"
Twilight levitated Fluttershy to the floor in front of the fireplace. She watched as Fluttershy slept in discomfort, and she started struggling. "Mama!" Fluttershy screamed and started struggling more, which caused Twilight to use magic. She tried a simple spell, which she had seen Cadance do. It was a calming spell, Twilight watched to see if it took effect on Fluttershy. Nothing happened she continued to struggle and then Twilight began to feel it, it hurt.
Twilight began to hear a scream, who was it was it her? She didn't care, she just wanted to remove the pain so she followed her innsicts and fired a spell at Fluttershy. The pain disappeared, but she began to feel sleepy and tired. She had to get Draco something was wron-..........
Draco walked into the fireplace and saw both mares sleeping on the floor, Fluttrrshy was in pain and the Unicorn had her horn sparking with magic.
He had to tell Luna. But first he had to deal with the current problem. He wrote a quick letter and walked outside. He called out "Rainbow Dash", knowing she was outside waiting his command. The mare appeared in front of him instantly, she raised a hoof and saluted.
"Yes sir" Rainbow said, still saluting.
"Easy, soldier. The Queen needs this immediately, we have a 6789." The Pegasus gasped, grabbed the letter and flew off towards Seline. She was one of there fastest flyers and he hoped she made it.
Now he had the hard part, untangling the current problem and removing Twilight from Fluttershy's nightmare. He had to do this quickly.
Fluttershy was in a small room, it was nice and had many toys for her. But she didn't want it, she wanted her mama. Fluttershy was scared, where was she? Why was she alone?
The door started to rattle and she dived under the bed, if it was her mama she would know where to look. As Fluttershy hid under the bed whenever she was scared or after somepony had bullied her.
"Fluttershy darling, it's me your Aunty Sunflower. Come out darling, I have a goft for you." Fluttershy heard the trotting of hooves and when into a tight ball. Hoping she wouldn't be found.
"There you are darling, you shouldn't be hiding. A lady such as yourself must never fear anything now come along, it's time for breakfast." Her Aunt said.
Fluttershy didn't want to move, she didn't want to go downstairs with her ponynapper. But her Aunt grabbed her using her wing and pushed her out of the room. Fluttershy tried to fight, but it was impossible. Her Aunt was much bigger and stronger then Fluttershy and her naturally weak wings.
"Here we are darling, now eat whatever you want." Fluttershy looked around the room she had been shoved into, it was a large room with a massive table in the middle. On the table, there was more food then Fluttershy had ever seen in her life.
Fluttershy watched as her Aunt took a seat next to her Uncle, who sat at the head of the table. Her papa always sat at the head of their table. Her uncle saw her, "Sit, Fluttershy. Make yourself at home." He said.
Fluttershy took a seat at the very end of the table. Far away from her Aunt and Uncle. Her Uncle chuckled and her Aunty smiled kindly at her. She was still terrfied of them, they had stolen her.
"Now that your awake, we have much to discuss." Her Uncle said, while reading his newspaper. Fluttershy didn't say a word, whether it was through her disgust or her shyness she did not know. Her Uncle did not notice that she did not say a word and continued to speak. "As you may or may not have known. Your mother is part of the Noble house of Sky. That makes you a Noble, unfortunately you are a half breed. But don't worry we will turn you into the lady, you were meant to be." Her Uncle stopped talking and nodded to a servant, that Fluttershy had not noticed. A black mare with a grey man walked in and took a seat. "This is your governess, she will teach you everything you need to know."
Fluttershy decided to dare to speak, "What about mama?"
"Your mother is also getting lessons on how to be a proper lady. Soon she will return, now finish your breakfast." Her Uncle stated. Tears started to run down Fluttershy's eyes, she missed her mama and her papa.
"Ouch, ouch..Wh..ere...Ouch" Twilight said, why did everything hurt? And where was she? Twilight lifted her head, why was she on the ground?
Twilight looked around, she was in a mansion and she heard crying. It was a small yellow filly with a pink mane who was wearing a pink frilly dress. She looked like Fluttershy, Twilight trotted up to the Fluttershy look a like hoping she could provide some answers.
"Fluttershy?! Why are we here? Can you help me? Why are you so...Fluttershy?" Twilight said confused, why could Fluttershy not hear her?
"You do not belong here." A voice whispered in Twilight's ear. Twilight turned around as fast she could, to see the pony who whispered in her ear. But she saw nopony, just an empty hallway.
"Leave."
"No I'm not leaving Fluttershy."
"Why? She is not your friend." Twilight remained quiet at this, Why was she helping Fluttershy, she owned her nothing. Twilight could leave right now and never look back.
No she couldn't leave Fluttershy was a good pony and was kind. She was also like a...friend.
"Fluttershy is my friend and even if she wasn't, nopony deserves to be treated this way." Twilight said, more determined then ever to help Fluttershy and every Seline citizen in the Middle Towns.
"I see, you are very interesting. What is your name?"
"Why do you want to know my name?" Twilight asked supcious of the voice.
"Very Interesting, I am willing to help you with your friend. But you must tell me your name."
"My name is Twilight Sparkle and you are?"
"You may call me Nightmare."
Twilight backed away a bit, this was Nightmare the Queen of Seline. She immediately went into a bow, and closed her eyes. Until she heard laughing, the voice was laughing at her.
"Your friend is trapped in a Nightmare, to free her you kust convince her she no longer has to be afraid of the past. As your past does not control you."
"How do I get her to see me?"
"Good luck Twilight Sparkle, I look forward to meeting you again."
"Wait!" Twilight screamed but the voice was gone and Fluttershy still could not see her. Think Twilight think, how can a ghost speak to the real world. I could write, I don't see any quills and I don't know if I can pick it up. In all those ghost movies Sunny and Shiny forced me to watch, what can see ghosts?
In Hasper the friendly pony ghost, the horses saw him. Animals can see ghosts! Twilight ran toward the walls, she hoped it would let her pass through. Twilight saw that there was a small white bunny in a field outside the manor.
Twilight quickly ran towards the bunny, scaring it to run for its life. She had to lead it to Fluttershy, she ignited her magic. It worked and she teleported in front of the bunny, forcing him to change direction. The small bunny ran towards the door which lend towards Fluttershy.
Twilight continued to chase it until it crashed into Fluttershy. Fluttershy turned to look at the bunny and calmed it down, her flank began to glow and she disapeared.
Twilight destroyed Fluttershy, what do I do? What do I do? Twilight panicked. She had turned her new friend into air or worse. "Relax Twilight. Fluttershy is dreaming now she has left her nightmares behind."
"So, she's okay."
"Yes. Now lets get you to the world of dreams so you can sleep peacefully. Goodnight Twilight."
"Thank you" Twilight said, before she to disappeared to the land of dreams. Twilight finally knew what she had to do, she finally felt at peace.
Seline and Sol: The Third Alicorn
Chapter 6: The Counterpart
Draco prepared himself to enter into the world of dreams. He had been there only once and he had barely made it through, but it was his job to protect innocents like the two mares. He ignited his horn with his sliver magic, until he noticed stopped struggling and they looked peaceful.
"Phew" Draco said, as he wiped the sweat off his forehead, using his wing. Mission accomplished, both Fluttershy and Twilight were out the danger zone. He had several questions to ask of his Queen, but he had a mission to complete.
He quickly wrote on a piece of paper and then sealed it, Draco decided to seal it with his hoof print. "Rainbow Dash" he called, hopefully she would have returned by now and could deliver his letter. A rainbow blur crashed into the floor, Rainbow quickly stood up and saluted.
"Yes sir."
"I need you to contact the Queen immediately. Deliver this and inform the Queen I am blowing my cover." Draco handed the Pegasus a letter, which she slipped into her saddle bag.
"Yes, sir. Permission to speak sir." Rainbow said still saluting.
"Go ahead Private."
"Is Fluttershy okay?" Rainbow asked with a concern look.
"She's fine, Fluttershy just had to face some old demons. Now go and deliver my message."
Rainbow Dash nodded and asked, " Please take of Fluttershy until I return."
"You have my word." The Pegasus looked relieved at those words, it was well known fact that he was a creature of his word. She then spread her wings and took off.
Draco stared out the window and watched the rainbow blur fade away. Sweet Luna! it was much later then he expected it to be. He had to return Twilight to the hotel. Draco couldn't leave Fluttershy, some of the Sol citizens may attack her. He had to make sure she was safe before he could take Twilight back to the hotel.
He picked up both mares, careful not to wake them. He walked outside, and he ran to the edge of town. Fluttershy lived there in a small cottage whenever she was in town. It was family's home before the incident and she offered it to anypony who needed it.
He dropped her off and gave her to one of the bears who lived there. Fluttershy had opened her home to not only ponies but animals as well.
"Take care of her." He said as one of the numerous birds nodded and they carried her upstairs. He was sure they would protect her, after all every animal had been saved by Fluttershy.
Draco removed his cloak so he could fly, properly without constriction. Spreading his sliver wings with black feathers, he took flight.
Flying was a liberating experience, he was free and was not chained to anything when he was flying. This was his favorite type of flying, He did not have to worry about anything except to look where he was going and about the small Unicorn on his back.
He saw the hotel, and he already knew which room was hers. He was grateful, that Dash had informed of everything.
He unlocked the windows using his magic and flew in, he placed her in the messy bed and tucked her in. She would sleep well tonight.
"You are not welcome here." A feminine voice, growled behind him. Draco knew who it was, it was his Sol counterpart, Cadenza. He was now also grateful that he had sent Dash off. If Luna ever got wind that he had been spotted by Cadenza it would not be pretty. Luna always wanted to protect him and they both knew that Cadenza was fishy.
"Cadenza, what a pleasure."
"Nightshade, leave." Cadenza said, as she took a threatening step forward. Except pretty pink ponies didn't scare him.
"I feel honored Cadenza, you have heard of me." She growled, and took another step forward.
"Leave, we are trying to build peace. I do not want to ruin it." Interesting, so this is how she wanted to play he thought.
"As you wish, Cadenza. I will leave you with your precious Twilight." Nightshade did not want a fight. He flew out the window, without looking back.
He would see them tomorrow, and that is when the fun would begin.
Twilight was currently in the dining room, with Cadance giving her a leacture. Twilight rubbed the sleep from her eyes, why did Cadance have to wake her up?
"You leave us, no note! No nothing! We are in a enemy ter-"
"Cady calm down, Twily is one of the most powerful mages on the planet." Shiny said, putting a hoof on her shoulder. Cadance just looked angry at Shiny now instead of Twilight and whacked his hoof off.
"I cannot believe I am saying this but I agree with Cadance." Sunny said and she then turned to Twilight. "You are our younger sister and no matter, how old or powerful you are we will worry. So please tell us what you are doing, especially when we are in unknown and possibly dangerous territory." Sunny said surprisingly calm. Usually Sunny was the hotheaded pony and Cadance was calm one.
Shiny mouth dropped open and Cadance wings were ruffled. "Can we please focus, I need to talk to you. It's important."
"Of course." "Sure, Twily." "Go ahead."
Twilight took a deep breath, "When are we leaving?"
"The ponies arrived, before you did. They introduced themselves and went immediately to bed. We'll be leaving tomorrow morning." Cadance said.
"We can't leave, th-"
"Twilight get some sleep and then maybe you will make sense in the morning."
"I agree with Cady, go to bed Twilight." Shiny said.
She was ready to explode, 5...4...3
Everypony, including Twilight, mouths dropped open. Sunset was being the peace keeper twice in one day, that was unheard of. Twilight nodded her head, she didn't want to fight with her family. Besides what was more fun then reading and studying.
Sunset woke up and removed herself from the book, she was currently sleeping in. Her eye sight was still blurry, mornings are the worst. She streched out, and noticed Twilight. She was also sleeping in a book, like she was.
Sunset tried to keep quiet, she knew how much trouble Twilight had sleeping recently. She went to the bathroom and got ready for the day, while Twilight kept snoozing.
Sunset walked back into the room and noticed TWILIGHT WAS GONE! Sunset then screamed bucking murder, HER SISTER WAS MISSING!
Twilight woke up, in the library. She didn't remember going to sleep here, she didn't remember going to sleep at all. What was happening? She must have been captured like Cadance said she would, or did Cadance even say that. Was that real and what was fake?
She felt another pony hug her, while she was in her panicked state. "Its okay Twilight you're okay. I'm sorry I scared you."
Twilight cleared the sleep from her eyes and looked at the pony. His voice sound familiar she tried to see if she recognized him, the first thing she noticed was he had both horn and a wings....."You're a Wings!"
The sliver pony chuckled, "I'm hurt, you don't know who I am."
Twilight tilted her head, who was this strange pony? She had already established he was a Wings. But Twilight knew she knew him, the colt was quite tall, his long mane was a mixture sliver and white. His wings were sliver with black feathers and the tips were white, and his coat was completely sliver. Twilight had never seen a pony like him. But it was obvious he was an important pony of Seline, she couldn't afford to offend him. He might destory the treaty, if she offended him.
"Of course I do, its great to see you again. Mister......." Twilight racked her head to think of a likely name. She decided to leave it at mister, ponies called their friends mister, right? "Are you here to escort us to Seline?" Twilight asked.
"Yes, I am. But I first I wanted to talk to you, you don't have to worry about the Middle Towns. We can work together when we get to Seline."
How did he know she wanted to help. Wait, was he, No he couldn't be.
"Draco?"
"The one and only."
Twilight was conflicted and her hair started to catch fire. Draco slowly started backing away, Twilight was just about to start yelling when she heard hooves trotting. She felt a pony collided into her and hooves wrap around her, squeezing tight.
"Twilight, thank goodness." Said a pink earth pony. Pinkie Pie?
"Pinkie Pie?"
The earth ponys eyes started watering, "you remembered me."
"Pinkie, too tight." Twilight said, trying to break the earth ponies strong grip.
"Sugarcube, you better let er go. She's turning blue." The orange earth pony said.
Pinkie let her go, and she began gasping for air and hugged Applejack. "Thank you" Twilight said weakly.
"Twilight!" Another pony wrapped there hooves around her, "I was sorry worried." Twilight removed the hooves with her, it was Sunny. Draco then cleared his throat drawing the attention back to him.
A pink blur then jumped on him, "I told you to stay away from Twilight!" Cadance yelled at Draco.
"How lovely to see you again Cadenza." Draco said, with a smirk.
"Cadance, get off of Draco." Twilight said.
"Twilight be quiet, this pony has been feeding you nothing but lies. His name is not Draco, it is Nightshade, most trusted of the Queen of Seline." Cadance said, still standing on Draco.
"I know who he is, he told me his name was Draco Nightshade and I figured out he was a Wings." Twilight said, "Now get off of him."
Cadance relectantly stepped off of the sliver pony. Nightshade stood up and shaked the dust off. "Thank you, Cadenza." Nightshade said to a scowling Cadance.
"Now as I was going to say, I was sent here by Queen Luna. I am here to escort you to the heart of Seline, if you will let me."
"No." Cadance said, Twilight turned towards her.
"Cadance we're doing this. With or without you." Cadance looked as if she would protest but then Sunset swept in to the conversation.
"We are here for the treaty, we are not going back empty hooved." Sunset said, siding with Twilight and Draco.
"Excellent."
"Hold on a second sugar, if your here to guide them. Why are we here?" Applejack said, pointing to herself, Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, who had mysteriously appeared.
"Don't worry we still may need your help. I'm sure the Queen will find something for you to do." Draco Nightshade said mysteriously.
"Now let us all go, to the City of Nightcrawlers." Draco said, as he turned and began to walk.
"Draco, we need get our stuff." Said Sunset.
"Oh, right. First thing we head into the heart of the Nightcrawlers." Draco said, everypony then walked of to their respective residences. Except for Cadance who watched the shadows, Twilight wondered why she had stayed behind. Prehaps she was lost in thought. "Cadance are you coming?" Twilight asked.
"Yes of course." Cadance then walked past Twilight, she was different. Something was wrong, but what was it? Were her eyes green? No, that was just my imagination Twilight thought as she walked back to the hotel.
"Are you alright, Twilight?" Cadance asked, her blue eyes shining with concern.
"Yes, yes. I'm fine." It was definitely her imagination. Cadance didn't have green eyes, she had blue eyes.
