Twilight, Fluttershy, Dual Blade, Pinkie and Shining sat down in the lunchroom at a table that was separated from the rest of the other college students. Dual Blade was not well...he was looking down at the table with his hair covering his eyes with darkness as his tears dripped onto the table, Fluttershy was rubbing Dual Blade's back as she too was crying.

Twilight sighed with teared eyes too. "It shouldn't have been Sage......it should've been me..."

Pinkie put her hand on the purple alicorn's shoulder. "It's not your fault Twilight....none of this is your fault..."

"Yes, it is...if I just would've stayed away from them after the 1st spree...Sage would've been still alive..." Twilight sighed. "I should call her mother..."

Dual Blade slowly lifted his head up and spoke with a low voice. "Don't worry.....I already called her....." He then gritted his teeth and growled. "I just want to find this asshole and rip their fucking heart out with my bare hands!!"

"Calm down, Blade." Shining said. "We'll find them." Shining looked behind at the two cops who were looking around. "By the way Twily......who are those cops?"

Twilight looked up at Shining and the cops back and forth while talking. "The yellow-ish stallion with the spiky blue mane is Officer Flash Sentry, he's 32, married with 2 foals, and the mare with the fire-y looking mane is Officer Spitfire, 27, she's single, but I think she's a lesbian."

"You sure? She looks too tough to be a lesbian..."

Twilight nodded, as Shining looked at the rest of the 3 survivors. "Alright....so I talked to Sheriff Chariot and she said that she's gonna take you where there is extra security and she's putting the whole school on a cerfew before dark, no one is coming in or out of their dorms."

Dual Blade looked up and still spoke with his low voice. "I'm gonna go..." he stood up and began to walk away.

"Where are you going?" asked Fluttershy, The blue pegasus turned around angrily.

"My bestest friend just died! I really need to be alone!" He snapped, before walking out of the room with anger.

Dual Blade walked out the back door of the building and saw Clipper sitting on a bench outside smoking a cigarette, he sat next to him and sighed while putting his hands on his face. Clipper looked over at Dual Blade. "Hey, you ok?"

The blue pegasus dropped his hands and looked at the cornflower blue pegasus. "Yeah....just....dealing with somethings....my friend passed away...." he then slowly looked at the ground

"Yeah...Sage right?"

Something clicked in Dual Blade's mind and looked at Clipper. "How did you know her name was Sage?"

"Oh right, you don't know me...." Clipper put the cigarette in his mouth and reached into his hoodie pocket, pulling out his police badge and showed it to Dual Blade. "I'm Clipper, Junior Homicide Detective."

"Oh, Dual Blade, college freshman."

"Nice to meet ya. I'm sorry about your friend." Clipper put his badge away and took the cigarette out of his mouth.

"It's fine.....I'm really gonna miss her..."

"How close were you two anyway?"

Dual Blade looked up at the sky and thought about the day he officially met Sage.

[FLASHBACK]

Dual Blade laid on the ground covered in dirt and bruises as 3 colts stood over him and mockingly laughed at him. The little blue pegasus turned on his back and looked up at the bullies. "Why do you always pick on me?"

A gray earth pony with black hair and yellow eyes picked him up by his shirt and smirked. "Because it's so much fun beating up little losers like you." The colt slammed Dual Blade in the mud as him and his lackeys laughed again.

"Hey!" yelled a female voice, the bullies looked behind them and saw a black filly with green hair look at them angrily. "Leave him alone!"

The gray colt smirked and put his hoof on Dual Blade's head keeping his face in the mud. "What are you gonna do about it, girly?"

"I'm gonna kick your ass if you don't let him go right now!"

The bullies laughed at the black filly, and the gray colt looked at one of his friends, who was a yellow unicorn, and gestured his head to take down the filly. The colt walked up to the filly and readied his fist, but when he tried to punch her, she grabbed his fist with one hand.

The yellow colt grunted, trying to get his hand free, but in one swift motion, the filly pushed his hand away and elbowed the bully in the stomach. The yellow colt grunted and the filly repeatedly punched his face and when he dropped to the floor, she kicked him down.

The other two bullies looked at their friend on the ground and then back at the filly who didn't even look like she broke a sweat.

"Don't worry I got her." The other lackey, a red pegasus, said.

He grabbed a nearby plank of wood and readied it like a bat. When he swung the plank the filly ducked and punched him in the crotch, the red pegasus dropped the plank and went on his knees, crying while covering his crotch with both of his hands. The filly still stared angrily and wacked him in the face, knocking him down to the floor too.

The leader looked at his 2 friends on the ground with a look of shock on his face, he took his foot off of Dual Blade's head and stared the filly down while continuing to smirk. "Well, Well, it looks like little miss meddler can kick ass..."
The gray colt then reached behind and took out a switchblade. "But no one is lucky forever..."

The gray colt ran up to the filly and swung the blade, missing her by inches, she head butted the colt in the stomach and he dropped his blade on the ground. She reached for it and pointed the weapon at him while snarling. "Grab your friends and get out of here, and if you come back...I'll kill you, understand?!"

The gray colt grabbed his groaning friends and they ran away scared from the 2 ponies, the filly threw the blade somewhere and walked over to Dual Blade, who was still on the ground.

She grabbed his right hand and pulled him out of the sticky mud puddle, smiling at the blue colt. "You alright?"

"Yeah....thank you so much!"

"No problem those guys were jerks anyway...." The filly held out her hand. "My name is Sage."

The blue colt grabbed her hand and shook it. "M-My name is Dual Blade..."

"Cool name."

"Thanks...want to be friends?"

The black filly giggled. "Sure."

The 2 new friends then walked away from the scene while holding hands and smiling at each other.

[END OF FLASHBACK]

Dual Blade shed another tear and sighed. "We were really close..."

Cadence walked outside, as Gleaming walked up to her with a duffle bag.

"What's wrong?" asked Cadence, Gleaming just stared angrily at her.

"You wanna know what's wrong?" asked the white unicorn mare angrily. "Hm....let's see....well first of all, they impounded my van it's now an official crime scene thanks to you." She then threw the bag into Cadence's arms. "There's your shitty footage, enjoy, have fun dying, Cadenza."

Gleaming walked passed her former boss before she stopped her. "No please Gleaming, I need you!"
The white unicorn mare looked back again. "No, you need some sense if you think I'm actually gonna stay here in the middle of all of this crap." She then walked away and got in a taxi driving her away.

Cadence sighed and looked behind her seeing Shining walk up to her. "What happened?"

"Gleaming bailed...this is really going to shit..."

"Is this another act?"

The pink alicorn groaned. "Do you see any cameras? I just want to find this fucker!"

"Me too...what's in the bag?"

Cadence handed the bag to Shining as he looked inside it. "Gleaming's camera footage..." just then something clicked in her mind. "Wait...if The Killer is watching....then maybe he could be in one of these tapes...maybe at a crime scene..."

Shining shrugged as he zipped the bag back up. "It's worth a shot..."

Just then Dual Blade walked around the corner and looked at the two ponies, he saw how chipper they were and he arched an eyebrow. "What's up?"

Shining looked at him with a smile. "We may have found a new lead on The Killer's whereabouts, he could be on Gleaming Shield's tape footage in this bag."

"Really, can I tag along? I know where we can play the tapes in."

"Alright, lead the way." said Cadence, nodding.

Dual Blade then led Shining and Cadence inside the main school building so they could find out what's in the tapes.

I just wanted to have Dual Blade and Sage meet in a very intresting scene.
