Fallout Equestria: RainFall
Chapter Eight-Nine Joona and Rock back's journey. Paradise Estate. [Eighth lock]
Previous ChapterNext ChapterParadise estate, there are so many legends and stories centered around this home of the ponies. Most never forget them Majesty herself knows she has a long story to tell the two racing to this building to seek their key. They won’t be facing a great threat. No, they will be facing memories and ghosts of the past. The past is never a good thing to find or see. Those who wish to know will never learn. The stories of this land will never fade. Paradise Estate has the most stories of this world than most never will ever see. The two who must go on this journey are of races who faced the ponies before. A Panna and a Stone back. The Panna in the past attacked the ponies as a ghost. The Stonebacks attacked the ponies during the loss of Flutter Valley. The first time.
The first time? You mean you don’t know the full story? Well then allow me to show you through the words here. First, we must get the chapter going. As Majesty and I explain the story of this building to the two about to head to it. Then you shall see what has happened for so long it’s time to know the truth.

Joona and Rock-back
I open my eyes and look beside me in the bed seeing Rock-Back. We have been sharing a room. I felt my heart flutter seeing the one who wanted to marry me after this journey’s end. I would like to be with one of my species but I do wonder if someday it will happen. Maybe he will let me do so I am unsure.
Before I could wake him there was the sound of a knock on the door. Rock-Back gets up looking at me and I just smile. Looking towards the door.
“It’s open.”
Beezen opens the door coming inside with Majesty not far behind him. He turns to look at Majesty nodding to her and then closes the door. I get out of bed gathering my weapons. I knew full well it was going to be time for us to leave soon.
“Majesty and I have something we need to tell you before we allow you to leave on your journey to get the lock you two will be going for. I am sorry this will take up a lot of time and it may take awhile for your door to open. The place you will be going to is Paradise Estate itself. A place the ponies lived in after giving the Grundles Dream Castle.”
I turn my head to look at Rock-Back. Then back to Majesty.
“What do we have to expect then?”
Stone-Back had trouble speaking still since his species wasn’t able to talk very easily. Majesty sighs looking through a magic bag she brings in from a strange magic space. It's a large book of history and it’s only of this one little building.
“Paradise Estate, a magic given to the ponies by the Moochick. He did so much magic to bring this lovely little home to the ponies. It went through so much. The first attack of Grogar. The ponies losing everything. It stood up to the attack of the judges and then fell after Megan died. The ruins are all that is left. Ponies still live there and they know full well the past will never vanish.”
Majesty opens the book.
“Let's start at the first page then. When it was formed. The ponies just lost Dream Castle to the Smooze. Megan with Wind Whistler and Fizzy went to get a new home. They sang a song about home and then it ended with Paradise Estate before formed. I wish I could go deeper into this history. But most of the history will never know. It’s sad to know and it will never understand the pain most see. But most of the history will just be short some of the history I know that wasn’t written.”
I just sat there unsure if I wanted to hear all the history of this place we were going to. Unless the reason we are going to be hearing all this is because our door is not even open yet. I have a feeling that’s the case.
“Let me guess the reason we are learning about all this is because our door is not opened yet, am I correct?”
I turn my head to hear Rock-Back speak. He can speak now and again when his throat allows him to. It’s rare but when he feels it’s correct then he can speak. Or when the battery in his throat machine works.
“The door is not open yet. It’s going to take longer for your door to open. You two have to wait for the others. Soft-Hearts door is the final door and when it opens. Ruby can finally get into her door and follow the journey the Princess ponies of old followed so long ago. Something you two need to understand. You’re going to be watching old history unfold. Seeing images of the past. Why is the reason we are here to tell you some of it? You may see things you might not like or enjoy to learn about.”
I knew this wasn’t going to be a simple journey. The journey Ruby told me going to be a year to get here then a year to get back to the land she came from. They said they may even stop at her home to gather more Magic eaters to fight Wheel Tread.
“I am looking forward to the history of this place.”
I didn’t know why I even said these words. Someday maybe when this story is published for all those to read. I would be able to understand why if I am even alive after it. Hopefully, I will be so I can read it and see what I have forgotten over the years.
“Now I will be reading this to you. Bezeen will teach you what is not in this history book. He wrote it mostly to remember what he destroyed. But he kept a lot of it out because most of it was secrets he didn’t want to bring to light. Most of the secrets are of Megan when he destroyed her. He kind of tortured her and it wasn’t the most pleasant thing he did to her and he regrets it. He knows he will have to face her in the land of the dead.”
I have been hearing this many times lately. The land of the dead is a place I know many of the past went to. I will never understand this idea of it. I wish I could but my story is never going to start on its own. The path to see what is to come.
“Now the next part of the Story is the fall of Flutter Valley the first fall. I was already gone even before the Smooze showed up. I was the first threat and I had my own Spike like the ponies did before. He is the child spike of the Spike I owned at the time. Well not owned he was a friend of mine and helped me through so much.”
They explained many of the stories of Paradise Estate. I was going to write this down on my page here. But Rock-Back felt the secrets told us and all the histories told to us was a bad idea to place it all in this part of Ruby’s story. Now after everything was completed it was time for me and Rock to go.
The two of us head to our door as it opens and I glance over my shoulder back at Majesty and nod to her.
“What should we expect?”
Majesty chuckles.
“Nothing my dear. All you two have to do is find the lock-in room of Megan’s the ponies there should at least be helpful. All you need to do is to tell them that you see the remains of Megan. They will show you and then you must steal the lock to use it in a closet close to.”
Beezen shakes his head, reaches into a bag of his, and brings out an old bucket of paint.
“Give them this. It’s the old bucket of magic paint I gave the ponies of old that brought the items of their home to life. If you use it on the building it will rebuild it. Then bring everything back to life. So you can see it in the greatest glory it used to be. Give them a home but you may have to tell them why. If you do it they may just give what you can. The story must come to a close, pain must bring hope.”
I take the bucket and place it into my bag. I wanted to make sure it would hide, closing my eyes and sighing. I knew what it was like to want history to repeat. I wish I could see what remains of my people. I wish I could go back to see this place in the glory it used to be. I remember Paradis Estate.
“I will show them the paint. If it’s all we can do we must show them the past. They can’t just dream it. They must know it.”
I hear Rock-Back speak the words. He is right and I need to understand this myself. He was locked in a cage like I was. He knows the same pain I do and I am unhappy that I will always lose that path.
“Go you two finish this chapter in the pony's story of this old home of theirs. Use it and let them see the memories.”
I give Beezen a nod and gently hold Rock-back’s claws with my wing. I know the pain I am feeling. I love him and I want to share my life with him. We may never be able to have children. It’s something I must see with him but this journey must end. Then we can get married and enjoy our lives together. Till the great threat forms and Grogar shows up and we either die together or win together.
We walk through our door to return to the place where most of the stories started, Paradise Estate and when we enter we end up in an old ruined basement.
________
Paradise Estate ruins
The door closes behind us. I don't get why these doors connect to places too far away from the castle. I am guessing Magic Portals or something. But when I get in there in the basement there is a mare cleaning the basement. She looks up at us with a smile.
“Ah, you must be the ones Majesty told me about. I wish I could greet you better. But the keepers of history here have gotten even worse than they used to. I am Mop handle. My name is strange but it’s how this land is sadly. Most ponies refuse to give their children peaceful names and names of well trash or battle.”
The mare clicks the light on and we finally get to see her fur colors. It’s pure red and has a black jagged horn.
“Forgive me for the mess but now you’re searching for the lock correct?”
I give a nod.
“Yes, we are.”
The mare sighs, shaking her head.
“I wish I could help you to get it. The history of this place is hard to get ahold of. The door lock is a piece of the door leading to the Heart of Ponyland the fact no one can ever use it. It’s why they’re so angry about following the Hippogriff who found a way there. Now they’re trying to do the same. But they can’t and she hasn't been seen for many years now.”
Rock-Back looks through the junk in the basement while I talk to the mare. Maybe he thinks it’s the best way to find the lock. I didn’t notice him taking the paint can from me. I turn my long neck to see what he is doing. He is burying the paint can in the junk piles. He looks at me with a wink.
“There are old stories of a paint can down here given to the ponies by Beezen the ponies of old tossed it on him to run him off making his wand come alive. It helped chase him off and they took what was left of the paint and hid in the basement.”
Before I could say anything Rock-Back spoke up.
“Is this what you’re looking for?”
The stone back spoke, moving the junk away and pulling out the paint can. Mop handles eyes open wide. I could tell in her mind she had been searching in these spots for years and never found it. I am starting to wonder if Beezen came here a while ago and stole it or if the ponies never got it back.
“We have been searching for this for years!! We read stories on how it could automatically fix this building. Why has it been hidden from us for so long?! How…did you find it?”
Rock-back gives a sly smile.
“I did what it is best to do in times like this. Never give up hope. Always have hope for life to give you what you need. If you give up hope then you will never move on from what is needed. So I will say this: give it to the keepers of your history. Best way to show this. Joona please show her your weapon.”
I did what he said. I reach to grab my sword. The mare's eyes would open wide again. Walking over to me she places her hoof on the blade stroking along the moon runes and lets out a big gasp.
“A blade touched by the moon. It means you’re truly the hero trying to bring back the balance of the stars. Please come with me quickly!”
Mop Handle carries the paint bucket upstairs and we follow her. Looking around the stairs. Seeing many of the ponies they’re so sick, some are even dead. I am guessing they have no hope in their hearts. I glance over at a filly holding the hoof of her dying mother. I am guessing this place used to magically heal all the wounded and give endless food through magic. The smell is so awful it feels like none of these ponies ever took a shower.
A pony quickly comes to me when they see the sword. I didn’t put it away when they saw the runes.
“A moon touched weapon!!”
I could see the hope in his eyes. When he screams, the Moon touched runes a bunch of ponies surround me. They rub their dirty hooves on me. I see the hope and wonder in their eyes. So many tears they feel we are here to save them. Maybe we are here to save them. I don’t fully understand why a hero causes issues more than being a help.
“I…”
I tried to speak.
“I am.”
I look into the eyes of the little ones. They need hope and I raise the sword to pose as a great hero. I felt this was the only way I could do something right for them. The moment I do this they all cheer.
“What is the meaning of all this?!”
A voice screams. I turn my head quickly to see one of the keepers of history and he looks at my blade and then stares at the paint bucket.
“Wait… are you the heroes Majesty told us about? You found the paint can how? We have been searching for years through this entire building. What did you do? How did you do it?!”
I glance over seeing Rock-Back nodding to him. I guess I better keep up with the lie he said. I take a deep breath. I am not a fan of lying but sometimes to bring hope you need to lie to those so far down on their luck. So I figured I would do what is needed. Before I left Bezeen gave me a paintbrush. So I figured I would do what is best.
“I am a hero, we are here for the lock. But first I shall do what the ponies of old did.”
I reach into my bag and bring out the paintbrush. The music seems to follow us when the magic of this world feels something starting to happen which causes the magic to get stronger around the others. I began to sing.
“Follow me to the future. Follow me to the dreams. Memories are what is here today. Never forget what was before. Show the hope of the dreams to come. Show it to me, my friends. This paintbrush of hope. Shall bring forth the memories of old.”
I put the paintbrush into the paint can and got a great amount. Then I began to paint around the place. The building started to repair the items around the house and slowly began to rebuild. A grandfather clock begins to sing.
“Thank you for the memories. We will see those ponies again.”
I began to sing with all the items repaired.
“It is time to bring forth the memories of old. The memories to know.”
I watch the memories form of the ponies painting around and them starting to run around the happiness. The other ponies see it. It seems to have no hope of giving a magic block to the others from being able to see the past.
“It’s time to move on and give us hope.”
I gave the paintbrush to a little filly and they all began taking it and sliding it on the ruined building and others began to do the same. While they sing Rock-Back and I follow the keeper of history to Megan's room and he is holding the lock.
“Majesty told us to give you the key to open this door so you may go in. It’s the only place in this building still fully repaired. I wish to know why she feels you’re the only two who can do this. I wish to know why.”
I shook my head.
“I don’t know myself honestly. I am guessing because we have been chosen by the stars of peace. Who knows but it’s the only thing I am guessing. I wish I could help you understand. I just don’t know why we are chosen. Maybe because we got touched by the minion of the stars Ruby herself. I am unsure of this as well.”
The stallion just gives me the lock.
“Whatever, my friend. Thank you for your hope.”
He unlocks the door and Rock-Back and I go into the room. When we go in the door locks behind us. We look around and see all the old history. Megan's body is in a glass case and is preserved by magic. It is written on the glass case that when the time is right she will return to us to be a hero again.
There is a door I place the lock there and there are two holes in this lock like it knew two of us would be here. I look over to Rock-Back. I remember it on the door and it becomes part of the door and I insert my wing while Rock-Back does his leg and we kiss. We freeze in time when it’s time. But I didn’t expect to be there. Bezeen smiles after he comes out of the shadows.
“Thank you, my friends… Thank you.”
He puts his hand on the glass Megan is within.
“Someday we will meet again. Now I have given back what I helped take from the ponies. Now you can forgive me when we finally meet again.”
Bezeen left the room through magic and finally, it was time for one more lock, and then the battle to bring balance to the stars would finally come to a head who would win no one knows but the stars themselves.
Max level.
