Broken Bumper

Timidthy was in his room sleeping soundly. He had his ring if tranquillity on as his horn let dandilion yellow sparks fly. Suddenly French Press walked into the room with the royal guards Shimmer Sword and Watch Dog close behind. French Press hit a blue sapphire on the ring of tranquility and Timidthy got up almost immediately. He yelped in pain as tears filled his eyes, Timidthy then took the ring off and put it back to it's regular setting.

"Good your up now go cheer up Bumper." French Press said, Timidthy wiped the tears from his eyes.

"You expect me to go and cheer up Bumper when he could be sleeping. After you woke me up, messed with my ring, and caused me pain? Yeah right like that will happen." He said feeling grouchy from his lack of sleep,

"But I neeeeeeed you to!" French Press whined back.

"Sure, but I neeeeeeed sleep!" Timidthy said,

"Please prince, Bumper hasn't been acting himself since.... the incident. He's been in his room for a week not leaving for guard training or outings with French Press." Watch Dog said. Timidthy took a deep breath and rubbed his horn as he still felt a twinge of pain in it,

"Fine. But if he's sleeping then I'm going home." He said. Timidthy then sluggishly got out of bed,

"Thank you, prince." Shimmer Sword said. The prince muttered before his tail was last seen leaving the room.

When Timidthy got to Bumper's house the place was completely dark the Colt had to decide against using his magic. He snuck inside and quietly walked to Bumper's room door, he pressed his ear to the door but heard nothing.

"Bumper? Are you awake?" Timidthy whispered and soon after the door opened,

"Yeah but what are you doing here?" Bumper said. He looked to have been crying as he tried to wipe some tears from his eyes,

"Your fillyfriend ruined my sleep by forcing me to come here by near midnight. But now that I'm here do you need to talk?" Timidthy said. Bumper blushed but nodded as he let Timidthy into his room he then shut the door and lit his horn. As him and Timidthy sat on the floor face to face, Bumper sat in silence as he looked to be holding back tears. Timidthy looked at Bumper with growing worry,

"Another nightmare?" Timidthy said and his friend nodded. "Staduim of ponies?" Bumper nodded again, "Laughed at you and everypony you cared about abandoned you?" Bumper again nodded tears starting to fall. Timidthy sighed and wrapped his wing around Bumper,

"I can relate. Listen I know you don't want to but.... you need to get some fresh air." He said.

"I-I can't!" Bumper said,

"I know you can. We can go somewhere new where you can get some pressure off you." Timidthy said. Bumper looked at the Alicorn,

"Alright." He said. Timidthy smiled,

"Good. We're heading to Twilight's castle tommorow so get some rest." He said and Bumper, though confused, nodded after all he trusted Timidthy.

Bumper had just woken up as the sun rose; knowing Timidthy would pick him up in thirty minutes. He took the patch off from the day before and threw it in the trash, he then took his shower and didn't even try to brush his mane or tail.

"Have a fun day." Crackers said with a forced smile, he was deeply concerned for his owner. Bumper rolled his eyes and shamefully pulled out his patches, he put on his belly. It felt weird but he definitely didn't want anypony to ask about it. Crackers picked up on this,

"Ya know you don't have to hide it. It stresses you out more that the incident does." Crackers said. Bumper just blushed as tears began to well up in his eye, a knock came on the door and he quickly wiped his tears away. Timidthy walked in with a smile on his face, Bumper forced himself to smile as well trying to hide his pain.

"He was crying." Crackers said,

"No I wasn't!" Bumper argued back. As blush quickly consumed his face,

"And he keeps hiding the patches he wears!" Crackers continued. Bumper growled,

"Shut up!" He said and his pet scoffed.

"Or what!? Your goanna turn me into sushi?" Crackers retorted and Bumper immediately shut up, Timidthy shook his head.

"Bumper it's okay to cry and we'll talk about the hiding your patches thing later. And...." He said before he locked eye's with Crackers and he started shaking and sweating, "Ne-Never mind." Bumper hugged Timidthy and the colt calmed slightly. The two blushed and walked out of the room before teleporting to Ponyville.

When the two got there they immediately walked to Twilight's castle.

"So what's this new place?" Bumper asked and Timidthy smiled,

"It's a place Twilight visited before. Where these strange creatures called humans reside. They have no fur so they have to wear clothes all the time. They don't have horns or wing's. They're tall and have strange things called hands and feet. And worse yet they don't have tails!" He said. Bumper gasped,

"What how can the colts and fillies there flirt without awesome tails to swing around!" He exclaimed.

"I know right!" Timidthy agreed as him and Bumper entered the castle. It didn't take long to find Twilight because, of course, she was in the library. Timidthy flew up to the nearest shelf and knocked a book down, as soon as it made contact with the floor Twilight jumped. Once she was over the shock she smiled,

"Oh hey Timidthy and Bumper! Ready to go on your trip?" She asked.

"Yep!" Timidthy said, and him an Bumper we're led by Twilight to the interdimensional portal that had been recently moved to Twilight's castle. Once they got there the two colts marveled at the mirror,

"So this will send us to another dimension?" Bumper asked. And Twilight nodded while Timidthy had a smug grin,

"Yeah and this is going to awesome." Timidthy said.

"Well I'm glad you'll enjoy this. Now I'll write your parents while your gone how long do you think you'll be spending?" Twilight said, Bumper opened his mouth but Timidthy spoke.

"A week." Twilight raised an eyebrow,

"Your sure? Why so long?" She asked. Bumper blushed a deep red and looked at the prince with begging eye's. Timidthy gave him a reassuring smile,

"It's for personal reasons but once we're back I'm sure we'll have everything settled." He said. Bumper blushed a bit redder but had a look of relief on his face, Twilight looked a the embarrassed colt she could tell he was uncomfortable.

"Alright then just be careful remember you can stay with Sunset or I along with my other friends counterparts. You can't miss them." Twilight said and the two colts smiled before they walked into the portal.
