//-------------------------------------------------------// [Hiatus] -by Xyros The Pony- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue- Just a normal day //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue- Just a normal day *BEEP* * BEEP* *BEEP* I shut my alarm clock off and got up to get my clothes on. It's my birthday today, my nineteenth to be exact. I had to get food for the next week, that is the only reason I would ever set my alarm clock on a week day. I got my coat and set out to the store, my car was locked. "Shit!" I forgot my keys back in the house. My car was not much to look at, if I had to I could probably tear the door right off the hinges without as much as a tug, but as it was my only means of transportation that was out of the question. I walked back into my apartment looking for my keys. All I had in my apartment was a 12" inch television, and a chair in the living room. A fridge, and a stove in the kitchen. A toilet, a small bathtub ,a sink and a medicine cabinet hidden behind a mirror, in the bathroom. A bed, and a small stand with about 4 books on it in the bedroom. Next to them sat my keys, I grabbed them and went back out the door. As I was driving down the road I started getting a stabbing feeling from my forehead, I get migraines from time to time but this was different, it was more of a stabbing feeling. It was about an hour before I made it to store, I walked inside wishing I had someone to talk to. I was always the invisible one, I walked through the store and picked up a small cupcake and the food for the next week. I then made my way to the counter to pay for my food. "Hey, do I know you?" a voice from behind me said. "Huh, oh hello," I said without any emotion as I turned around, " I doubt it." "I know, you live in apartment 3, the one next to mine, I just moved in last week." she said. "Yea I think I've seen you before." I said. "Here," she gave me some money, "let me pay." she smiled. "Uh, tha-" I turned to face her after looking at the money and she was gone." I need to get some rest" I payed for my groceries with the money she gave me and left for my apartment. When I got back it was about 1 in the afternoon. I sat in the chair and ate the one small cupcake I had while I watched the television until late in the evening, that's all I ever did when I wasn't working or shopping. I got up to find something to eat when I felt a wave of dizziness so strong I almost fell over, along with the dizziness I felt extremely nauseated. "I need to get more sleep." I almost vomited on the floor,  I decided to get some sleep after that little episode. "I'm sure I'll feel better in the morning." and with that I set off to dreamland. _______________________________________________________________________________ "Boo!" "GAAAHH! Don't scare me like that." my young self said. "Hehe, but it's fun to scare you." she said. "Well it's not fun for me!" my young self said. "Oh lighten up Alexander." she said. "I can't stay mad at my only friend now can I." "You really should get more friends, even if you have to make others like you, I won't be around forever, and I don't want you to be all alone once I get adopted okay." "I know, but-" she stopped me. "I heard it all before Alexander. now, wake up and make some friends." she pushed on my forehead, I fell through the ground into darkness, pain growing on my back until I snapped awake. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1- A not so normal day //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1- A not so normal day Unbearable pain coming from my back and forehead as blood stained my bed. Screaming as I slowly transitioned from sleep to unconsciousness. The words "Make some friends" floated through darkness as I noticed a little girl sitting all alone in the darkness. I walked through the darkness making my way to her," Hello, are you okay little girl." when she turned around I saw who it was, the only friend I ever had. "Hello Alexander," she stood up and turned to face me, " I told you to make some friends and you never did, so I'm going to help you make some friends." she said. "What are you talking about." I said. "You'll see Alexander, and remember if you can't make friends make them like you." "But how will they be my friend if I *make** them like me."* "You'll see what I mean hmhm," she stifled a laugh,"trust me, this will be fun I promise." "Your idea of fun an mine are quite different, wait, what will be fun?" I was starting to regain consciousness. We"ll talk again soon, okay."she started to straight out laugh until I jolted awake. ________________________________________________________________________________ The room smelled like blood and a very strong, peculiar smell I had never smelled before. I was afraid to look at myself, not only was smell of blood a indication of major injury but I felt numb all over. eventually the numbness subsided."okay just bend you're knee Alex, simple." As I bent my knee it felt...odd and out of place, the same feeling followed with the rest of my limbs, but no pain came . What happened while I was asleep, did some one try to kill me!?. Okay I have to look "one...two...two and a half...t-three, " all I saw was darkness. "Right open your eyes" I sat there staring at a pair of green wings that sprouted from my back. I must be dreaming, you can feel pain in dreams right...no you can't, I must be hallucinating then, right that's it. That makes sense right, right? I then proceed to see why it feels like I had thick gloves and shoes on my hands and feet. "Deep breaths Alex." I slowly lifted my arm up to my face and saw a hard, flat stump, I almost screamed until I realized there was no pain. "Thank god, it's just part of the hallucination." Looking the rest of myself over I notice that I am covered in green fur and that the joints in hands and feet have moved. This hallucination was starting to look ,and feel, realer and realer every passing second. No this has to be a hallucination. I need to get to the bathroom mirror. I got up off of my bed and fell flat on my stomach. Why can't I stand up? The hallucination theory was getting less and less likely.Just don't think about it. Okay so my spine feels different, maybe more flat I'll just have to walk on all fours even if in reality I'm on my hands and knees. I slowly made my way to bathroom only falling on my face twice. Once in the bathroom before looking at the mirror I noticed despite that fact that I am on all fours my height is about the same. Maybe I'm not on all fours after all, maybe it's all just part of the hallucination, this can't be real. I stopped dead once I looked into the mirror. My face. I tried looking away but I couldn't all I could see was the face of a cartoonish looking pony like figure with brown hair and a horn staring right at me, the same look of fear on his face that was plastered on mine. I-It's all part of the hallucination. No it's not, this is all real and you're all alone in it. No this isn't real My mind continued to argue with itself while my body slowly curled into a ball getting as small as it could, as I could. I just sat there for hours curled in a ball until I got up my nostrils flaring with anger. "THIS IS MY FAULT, I NEVER MADE ANY FRIENDS BECAUSE I WAS TO STUBBORN!" I screamed to myself." No it's not my fault! It's her's," I was to angry to say her name, " SHE DID THIS TO ME, SHE WANTED ME TO MAKE FRIENDS, I DON'T KNOW HOW BUT SHE DID THIS!" Suddenly a memory flashed before me. ________________________________________________________________________________ "I'm sorry, I didn't know!" she said "Well maybe you should think about what you do before you do it!" Jessica said, Jessica was the oldest and meanest kid in the orphanage."Sorry doesn't cut it, you little bitch!" she reeled in her fist for a punch. "HEY!" I yelled jumping in front of Jessica. "Move out of the way before I decide to punch you instead brat." Jessica said. "FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" the kids around us chanted. "Alexander what are you doing!" my friend said. "Trying to keep you from your last strike that's what." I said, in the orphanage if you got three strikes you spent the week in a big metal box with little to no food. "But you're on your last one too!" my friend said. I ignored her dodging Jessica's punch and running around behind her to try and land a punch myself when one of her "goons" grabbed me. Jessica then proceeded to punch me repeatedly in the stomach, after about the seventh punch a tree branch fell and hit Jessica on the head making her dizzy for a short spell. "I'M GOING TO KILL YOU, YOU LITTLE SHIT!" Jessica said, she charged at me. "Oh no you don't Jessica." our so called "mother" said grabbing Jessica by the waist and taking her inside unfortunately this was not her last strike. When she came back out alone she asked "Alright who started this mess!" everyone except my friend who had left pointed at me. About an hour after I was put in "The Box" my only friend showed up with a small plate of the gruel we called food, she did this for the entire week that I was in there. ________________________________________________________________________________ The thought of the kindness we showed to each other, the friendship we showed. "I'm sorry..." I said my voice trailing off as I slowly fell back to the floor crying myself back to sleep. "I know Alexander, I know, I forgive you." I heard what sounded like a voice in the distance. ________________________________________________________________________________ If anyone has any suggestions or criticism for my story please feel free to tell me.
