Chapter 2View OnlineOutcastChapter 2I wake up the next morning and slink out of the library. I'm not sure of what to do so I wander along town aimlessly. I bought a few cupcakes and went to the park. When I got there I saw the Mane 6 having a picnic. ` "Hey guys, can I ask you a question?" I asked. "Yes what?" Twilight asked. "Can I join your picnic?" I asked. There was a long awkward silence. "Sorry Derpy," said Dash,"You can't. "Yeah sorry Derpy. You're still our friend. Its just that...um... there's not enough Cupcakes," Pinkie Pie said in a tense voice. I looked behind their backs, there were plenty. "Thanks anyways guys," I said dejectedly. There was no room for a wall-eyed pegasus, and probably never will be. As I walked away sadly I heard Rainbow Dash making fun of me. "Ha ha. She was hilarious. At least her eyes weren't all goofy," She said breaking out in more laughter "Don't make fun of her Rainbow," Twilight said with a chuckle. "I know, but she's so funny," she said laughing some more, "I just dont know what went wrong," I was crushed. The six ponies I looked up too and the nicest ponies I knew were making fun of me. I let a tear fall down my cheek and hit the ground. As I walked away my only thought was, "Why can't I be liked?"

Chapter 6View OnlineOutcastChapter 6Life has been following the same routine day after day. Fluttershy and I follow the same routine. We talk and I help her with chores. She's a good friend, my only one. Finally when my wing is healed I decide to go home. After all these days. It was twilight and dark. I fly over to my house with no noise except the howl of the wind. My house loomed eerily over me. I go inside. It was unusually quiet. "Hello," I whispered. My voice echoed all around the house. It was around twilight and dark. I flip on the switch and find my dad sitting on a chair with a knife in his hand. "Hello," his voice cut through the air like a knife,"I was waiting. By now I started to back away. "You left me all alone. I was waiting. And then I realized I DON'T care." My hooves started to sweat and I tried to make my way to the door. "Don't bother trying, little girl," his voice hissed across the room. He came at me slashing with his knife. For a moment I couldn't move. As I ran towards the door, he ran after me. He was pretty fast for a drunk. He slashed at me and I felt a horrible burning sensation all over my body. I ran out of my house with my dad still yelling, "AND DONT COME BACK" I run deep into the woods, not even caring if I was eaten by Timberwolves. As i lay down on the now bloody grass, again I cry. I wait until I'm done. And then I hear the screams. Fluttershy.
Chapter 7View OnlineOutcastChapter 7I run towards her cottage ignoring the screams of pain from my wounds. When I got there I saw a terrible sight. A raging fire was right next to her house. The cottage had a couple seconds before it would catch on fire. I peered through the smoke. Fluttershy was there. My only friend was going to die and there was almost nothing I can do about it. I pushed the thought to the front om my mind and thought," BUCK IT! I'm not going to lose my only friend. "Derpy, is that you?"a strangled voice whispered through the smoke. "Yes, and I'm going to get you out of there." Without a moment's hesitation I leaped into the smoke. The sensation I felt was like no other. The smoke burned through my wounds. I went in and grabbed Fluttershy with my teeth. As I was almost to the edge of a clearing a I heard an explosion and a piece of charred wood went through the air and landed on me. The last thing I saw was Fluttershy.
EpilougeView OnlineOutcastEpilougeEpilogue: 3 weeks later I still remember everything from the party in the hospital wing, to today at the court where the trial took place. Not that I haven't busy. Believe me I had a LONG week. First I started to move out of my old house and began looking for a new place. We finally decided on building a place near Fluttershy, but for now I was staying at her house. The trial was very short. It was basically me accusing my dad, showing my scars, and my friends backing me up. My dad tried to defend himself, but it didn't help that he was drunk. The judge deemed him guilty and was taken into custody. I looked at him getting taken away, yelling and screaming that he wasn't guilty, and thinking about my new house and life, I did something I almost never did. I smiled.
Chapter 1View OnlineOutcastChapter 1I fled from the house that I was forced to live in. It wasn't my home and never would be. Without even knowing where I was going I ended up at Twilight's house. I banged at the door with my eyes still off center from my dad's latest beating. "Twilight! I need your help." "Oh, hi Derpy," replied Twilight with her eyes behind a book as she opened the door. "What brings you here?" "I need a place to stay for the night. Can I please stay here?" "Well I don't know... I guess?" "Thanks Twilight." "Um you're welcome" she said while pushing me away. "Looks like you need another eye spell. They"re wall-eyed again." She did a quick spell and my eyes were fixed. "Well I'm going back to sleep" said Twilight while yawning sleepily. "Why were you out so late anyways." "Sorry Twilight, I can't tell you" "C'mon Derpy, I'm your friend." "I'm sorry Twilight." "Well Goodnight," said Twilight with a troubled look on her face. "Goodnight" As I laid down on the ground I started crying. Stupid of me right. Everything was so unfair. From the moment I was born my dad resented me. My mother died after giving birth to me so I think he thought I killed her. My dad was drunk all the time and liked to beat me. All the beatings to my head constantly left me wall-eyed. Sometimes I even put a brown paper bag on my head just to cover the lumps on my head. I don't care if people called me weird. All that mattered was to not let anypony know my dad beat me or else he will think I told. Sometimes he would hit me so hard I would faint. I never knew what my real name was. My dad called me Derpy because of my voice and the name stuck. The only thing that would ever comfort me was muffins. I always found money on the ground that my dad threw around when he was drunk. The only reason he is even alive is because he's living off the fortune one of my relatives gave me. Anyways muffins. They were the only thing I liked about my life. I just wish I could be normal. As see the sun rising in the sky the only thought in my mind is this, "Why cant I have a normal life?
Chapter 3View OnlineOutcastChapter 3I was hurt. Hurt at the world. I knew there was nobody to turn to. Even Twilight who was one of the nicest ponies I know. Laughed at me. Hurt. I sat down on the street and cried. Hard. I decided to go to Zecora's. Maybe she had heart's desire to make all my problems go away. I knew it wasn't likely but I had to try. As I ventured deeper into the woods I heard howling. Timberwolves. I knew at once what they were. Everypony knows. I saw 5 sets yellow eyes staring at me through the thick brush. I started to panic as they circled me snarling. I flew up higher with them still in a circle under me. Suddenly one of them jumped up and tried to bite me. I panicked and flew up. I didn't even see when my right wing smashed into a branch. I spiraled down and down my left wing still beating. I finally landed in some bushes. By now the Timberwolves have seen me. I backed away slowly. My right wing still hurting like crazy. Then I RAN. I ran like crazy all the way to the edge of the wolves looking back. The wolves slowly grew tired and went away. I was so focused on the wolves I didn't realize when I smacked my head against a tree branch.
Chapter 4View OnlineOutcastChapter 4"Oh good you're awake," said a soft voice. "Um where am I." "You're at my cottage. I found you at the edge of the forest. Instantly I recognized the voice. It was Fluttershy. "How long was I out?" "A few days" "At least I had experienced pain and fainting before," I grumbled under my breath. "What was that?" "Nothing." "So what were you doing in the forest?" Now she was getting more personal. Going to Zecora's for a remedy," I replied. I wasn't lying. Technically, I was getting a brew. To fix all my problems. To fix my life. "Well you could have asked me. I have remedies for ponies too. So what do you want" "Don't worry about it right now." "Anyways you have to stay here because of that broken wing." I was surprised at Fluttershy. She was always just sweet, shy Pony. I've never seen her so outspoken. Well then again I was never with Fluttershy and her friends. Memories of what happened a couple days ago came back. I was hurt again. Was Fluttershy going to show me to her friends? What a loser I was? Tears flooded my eyes. I was a loser. Pathetic. Like I did a couple days ago, I cried. Hard. "There there," A reassuring hoof patted my back. "It'll be all right."
Chapter 8View OnlineOutcastChapter 8I woke up in a bed. A nice fluffy bed. As soon as I open my eyes I see lavender eyes. "AGGHHH," I scream leaping back. Oh good you're awake. The other elements are worried sick of you," she said in a relieved voice and falling into a chair on the side. I take a look around my surroundings and finally realized where I was. The hospital. Then as I started to lie back down what Twilight said. The other elements are worried sick of me? Rage filled my body as I thought about what happened at the picnic a couple days ago. "The elements are "WORRIED"! Sure they are, I should believe you after you LIED to me at the picnic?" I yelled in her face. "What picnic, oh that one. Derpy we're really sorry.Rainbow Dash just didn't want anybody joining in" "SURE YOU ARE" Oh Derpy are you yeling because of me? I'm sorry Derpy," whispered a quiet voice in the corner. "Oh sorry for yelling Fluttershy. It's not your fault." "Oh, thank Celestia you're not mad. I brought your favorite. Muffins!" "As I started to calm down and eat the muffins i feel something cold on my neck. It was a necklace with a bubble in the middle. A mixture of emotions went through me, but mostly confusion. "What is this?" "Oh Derpy, That's what I was going to tell you. At first I didn't know but then she told me it was an element. You're the last element, the element of Bravery. The guardian of the elements," she said in an excited breath I didn't know what to feel happy sad or both but then Pinkie Pie burst through the door. "WHO WANTS TO PARTY!"
