After returning from a 1000 year banishment, Dusk Shine seeks out Perfect Prism, the Element of Magic. He tells her about what it means to be Magic, and his time as an immortal. When they enter a shrine to Dusk's Elements of Harmony, Prism asks Dusk what it was like when he was young, with his friends. He tells her of a time when he was both Evan Foster, a musician with a love for ponies, and Dusk Shine, an alicorn with a love for research.

Dusk Constructed is a tale of a human and pony mind, trying to deal with the fallout of a repeating history. It is the first (hopefully) in a trilogy of books. The second will be Dusk and Dawn, and the third book will be Dusk Redefined.
