Twilight was walking home to her castle after a day of helping a few ponies with friendship problems, she had a very productive day as she got home she sighed as she knew that she didn't have to do anything else that day, once when she got inside she noticed that the door was open.
She became annoyed as she went inside and closed her door as she knew that one of her friends forgot to close it, she decided to find out who it was so she went to the map table, when she entered the room with the map she found that Spike was there she tossed a book to Spike
"Spike I need you to mark down all of the ponies I have helped with their problems so thag we can start keeping track of who we help and I think its a good idea, please get to it, Twilight said as she left Spike, Spike watched Twilight leave and go out in the hallway, as she walked down the hallway Spike went up to her. Twilight turned around
"I'll help you for this one last time but after that I'm done with helping, your set up that you can do stuff on your own without me, I've served you long enough." Spike said. Twilight furrowed her brow as she looked at him.
"Your going to leave me? Are you saying that you quite?" Twilight asked Spike as she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Spike walked closer to her and frowned as he knew he had to say this to Twilight as it was necessary no matter how much it hurt her and then he continued to speak.
"You see only one end to your job and that's helping ponies out but I can't do it anymore, you have your friends and it time for you to move on and get a lover possibly even if that other relationship failed, it would be good for you if you did move on." Spike said as he got closer to telling the truth.
"Spike you know I can't do that....I-i can't move on I just can't since my other lover left me and then died I just can't do relationships anymore, now since Trixie never wrote a letter telling me she wanted to break up with me it just made it harder for me to not know why she left me with no explanation." Twilight said.
"What if she did write a letter?" Spike asked as he thought carefully how to tell Twilight as he knew that he was treading on thin ice and if he told Twilight the truth about what he did he would be told to leave.
"She couldn't have, I know she didn't write a letter for me because I didn't see any letter or note that she could have written and left one for me that's how I know she didn't do that." Twilight said.
"But what if she did, what if she sent a message that told you that she couldn't stay with you....and to spare you heartbreak I destroyed the message before you could read it and find out the truth about Trixie." Spike said, Twilight's eyes widened in realization and she glared at him as he let out the truth, she started to cry as she couldn't believe what she was hearing.
"You used Trixie against me....to try and destroy my world and you think even though you did that we are still going to stay friends? Is that what you think? Do you know what his means for you?" Twilight asked him. Spike started to cry.
"No I know what this means, it just doesn't mean that you are angry it means that I am going to loose a pony that is close like a sister to me, it means loosing a pony that hatched me....and let me live with that pony, it means losing somepony important to me and that is a thing that will cause me heartbreak." Spike said as he cried.
"Maybe sometimes it's best if we just let our problems go away rather than let them stay and have ourselves find out about them....I was trying to spare you the heartbreak....I'm sorry...." Spike cried. Twilight shook her head as she cried as well.
"Get out Spike!" Twilight cried, Spike left the castle and Twilights body was wrecked by heart wrenching sobs, Spike walked away from the castle as he sobbed hysterically, he was now regretting what he said, he wondered how long Twilight would be mad at him, he wondered when she would allow him to see her again.
He hated the fact that this might have ended their friendship which was heartbreaking for Spike, Spike continued to walk away as Twilight sobbed uncontrollably as she watched Spike leave her place, she couldn't even look at him anymore.
She could never forgive Spike for what he had done to her, she felt angry and sad, she just wanted to stay inside her place forever as she was just to angry and upset, she stayed there for a few days as she didn't want to face any of her friends and then chase them to ask her questions about what happened to her.
As she thought about what she had done to Spike she realized that she was a bit to harsh and at the same time Spike had made a mistake for destroying the letter, Spike came back to her castle and and Twilight saw him.
"Twilight, I'm sorry for burning the letter, I should have just let you read it and seek me to comfort you, I just thought that I could help you avoid getting depressed over the letter, what I did was wrong and I had no excuse for what I did, please forgive me, I've also decided that you can come see me at my new place every once and awhile." Spike said. Twilight realized that Spike was very genuine about it and she realized Spike was telling the truth.
"Your forgiven Spike, I now understand what you were trying to do, I apologize for being angry at you over it, I understand, I don't blame you for wanting to move out, your old enough." Twilight said.
"Your forgiven." Spike said, they both hugged eachother as they were both happy that the problem was sorted out.
