The Far North was not a place for any-pony to live in, much less anything that was unprepared for the bitter cold that dominated the weather this close to the Geographic North Pole. But then again, for a cold-hearted creature that was only warmed by thoughts of vengeance against that that ruined her plans of global domination, it was perfect.
And Chrysalis was one such being.
She was once a powerful ruler, feared by all. She ruled all the Changelings, had Equestria in her hoofs, twice and twice she had lost it. The Second time he was defeated, she had lost more then her control of the pony nation, but her own Empire, taken by a Traitorous drone, a washed-up Spirit of Chaos, a has been Illusionist........
and that Bitch, Starlight Glimmer........
Out of all Ponies that she hated, Starlight was number one on her hit list, next to that pinky princess of love and that husband of her and those six pests. She hated all of them. But Starlight was that one that she wanted to be rid off most off all.
It was HER that ruined her plans of conquest, HER that brought that useless traitor Thorax back to the Hive, HER that coast Chrysalis her Kingdom and her subjects. It was all Starlight Glimmer's fault!
That was why she was in this cave, in the far northern areas of the world, hiding, sitting at a magical fire that kept her warm, along with thoughts of revenge on Starlight Glimmer. Thoughts so brutal that it would even give Triek Nightmares.
She had many plans for revenge; from brainwashing a group of Stallions and using them to gang-rape Starlight and then cut her throat to making her watch as Chrysalis killed her friends and Family before being that last one to die. Oh such ideas made her giggle at the thought of taking out her Arch-enemy.
"Just you wait," Chrysalis said to herself, "My revenge will be unlike anything you can come up with."
And all your plans are childish. a deep, feminine voice said.
Chrysalis nearly jumped off the ground in fright! It was impossible! Somepony else was in the cave with her! Chrysalis looked around, her horn glowing with a bright green light as she looked around. She saw no sign of anything, no-pony was in the cave with her.
"Humph," Chrysalis grunted, "I am being silly. I am alone here, just jumping at Shadows."
You are right about the Jumping at Shadows, o' queen of Changelings. the Voice said again.
This time, Chrysalis heard the voice as clear as day! There was something in the cave!
"Who is in here!?!" The Queen yelled, her horn glowing as she looked around into the Darkness. It was then that she noticed that the back of the cave was dark, darker then the last time she looked in that area. In fact, the darkness seemed to be moving.
Just a friend, the voice said, a friend who knows what is in your dark heart, Great Scorpion of Everfree.
That itself shocked the Changeling Queen, as very few knew of that title.
"SHOW YOURSELF!!!!!" She yelled, angered and thinking that it was a Changeling, one of Thorax's followers or even one of those damned ponies. her horn glowed even brighter, but it could not penetrate that darkness that was closing in and was indeed moving.
I am not one of your enemies. the voice said, I am one who understands, one who has seen your thoughts and know that you seek revenge on those who are of the Forces of Good. As for showing myself, well................
It was then that Chrysalis noticed the two blueish orbs that had just appeared, seemingly out of thin air. this was followed by a large red gash in the darkness that looked almost like a mouth and a purplish gash that was crossed shaped.
Chrysalis screamed in horror as she saw these things appeared, for she was looking at the face of something that she did not know, in fact she doubted any being could know what she was looking at. She turned as fast as she could and was about to bolt out of the entrance of the cave, only to see that there was none. the Darkness was filling the cave and blocking her way out.
Now, Now, little changeling. The thing said, it's mouth not moving, but Chrysalis could hear it speak in her head. I am not here to hurt you, I am here because I sensed your need.
Chrysalis turned to look at the thing, her body shaking in fear. "M-my need for what?" she asked, her voice shaking a bit.
REVENGE! The thing answered. You want to take revenge on all those that have wronged you. Revenge on those Six ponies that hold the Rainbow Power, revenge on the rulers of the Crystal Empire, revenge on Celestia and Luna and most of all, REVENGE ON STARLIGHT GLIMMER!
This intrigued Chrysalis a bit. This demon was wanting to help her in her plans of revenge. but yet she was very skeptical. "What do you know about my plans for revenge?" the Changeling Queen asked, "I doubt you know anything about why I want Revenge."
The thing chuckled, like it found the question funny. I know all about it. It said, Your first attempt at conquest was ruined when that little purple pony, Twilight Sparkle, exposed you and those two lovebird, Shining Armor and Princess Cadence, used their love to throw you and your army out of Canterlot. So you planned to kidnap them, their newborn daughter, Princess Luna, Princess Celestia and the six Element bearers and replace them with your own Changelings, only for one Pony to discover your plot and rescue them with the aid of a traitor who is now titled 'King of the Changelings', a illusionist and a being that dares to call himself 'Lord of Chaos'. It is because of them that your Kingdom was lost.
"So you just want to help me out of the 'goodness of your heart'" Chrysalis asked, sarcastically. "I don't buy it! I think that you are wanting to aid me because you want something from me! I know that whole kit-and-caboodle, I have done it before!"
The thing looked own at Chrysalis and even through she could not tell it, she got the feeling it was amused. You are very smart indeed, Your Majesty. it said, For I, Myself, want vengeance on my own enemies. Those that proclaim to be soldiers of light and justice!
The thing narrowed it's eyes. You see, I am not from this Universe, it said, I was once the most powerful being in my home universe, I had armies of evil beings at my beck and call, I destroyed whole Civilizations! All of that gone when one Little brat decided to fight me. She and her followers destroyed my minions, ruined all my plans and slew my power powerful commanders! The, even after I slew her friends she DARED TO FIGHT ME!
"and I take it you lost big time." Chrysalis stated.
Indeed. the Shadow said, it's voice full of anger and hate. That power she used did not destroy me, no, but it pushed me right out of my reality and into yours. I was weakened from that battle. For two years I was force to steal the life energy of lower lifeforms, until one day, I discovered a battle starting. Six of your enemies were engaged against a being that was equal to them in power. I decided it would be best to take the power from their enemy, a centaur, and use it to build back my own strength. Those stupid fools did not even see me when I took the magical energy he had!
Chrysalis tilted her head to the side, trying to think about what the Shadow had send, then realized she was talking about Triek's rampage of terror. "I always thought that those damned ponies took away his ill gotten power and restored it back to Equestria?" she said, confused.
That is what they thought, but we are getting off topic here. the Darkness said, The deal here is that We both help each other in our war of revenge.
"And how would You help me?" Chrysalis asked. It was then that she felt like she was being watched. Looking around she stated seeing more glowing eyes appear in the Darkness.
"Kukukukuku!" came the sound of a chitterling laughter unlike anything the Changeling Queen heard before.
With the Power I took from the centaur, i was able to rebuild my forces, creating new soldiers for my new army. the thing stated, It is an army that I think you will find very powerful.
The two stared at each other, the changeling and the living shadow. "So you want me to command your army?" Chrysalis said.
Yessssssss the Shadow said, And not only will I give you my army to control, but I shall give you new dark powers that shall aid you in your revenge and mine. With the Powers I will give you and my armies, you will be Unstoppable! all will bow before you as you will be a new ruler for all the world to obey, EMPRESS Chrysalis!
She liked to sound of that. Chrysalis could already hear the chants of all the races of the world crying out 'hail Empress Chrysalis!' she could envision herself sitting on her new throne, one made from the skulls of here enemies. She could see that traitor, Thorax, begging for mercy as she stomped his traitorous head in like a melon. She smiled at the thought of Starlight Glimmer and Twilight Sparkle, impaled on stakes for all the world to see....
"you have a deal!" The Changeling Queen said. "But, before we follow up on this, I want to know your name, as you already know mine."
I am known by many titles. the Shadow said, growing more larger as it seemed not only to fill the cave, but the land outside. In fact, the whole cave seemed to have disappeared and it now appeared that they were outside in the arctic landscape.
I am known as the 'Great Destroyer', 'Dark Demon of Sol', 'Burner of Lemuria', 'drowner of Atlantis', 'Right-hand of Goddess Chaos', 'Crusher of the Moon Kingdom', 'the All-mighty Negaforce'
