The Glorious Return

One morning Rarity was washing herself clean so she could be ready or the day, she took her time though as her store wasn't ready to be opened yet, as she washed herself somepony was asking for her at her front door, she sighed as she quickly got out and went to the pony. She opened the door and saw Lyra, she was stunned as Lyra never went to see her. Sure they were on friendly terms and were polite to each other but they just never had the time to hang out.

"Hello uh....what's the matter? Can I help you?" She asked, Lyra shook her head and reached into a pouch and then pulled out a envelope and she handed it to Rarity, Rarity took the envelope and looked at it with curiosity and then looked at Lyra.

"This was in Twilight's possession, it was found a few months after Twilight's death and it hasn't been opened, nopony knows what's inside it, so Celestia thought that her friends should see it as you and her other friends were the closest to her." Lyra said as Rarity examined the letter

"What's inside it?" Rarity asked Lyra, Lyra's voice started to break as she became emotional, she tried to force out the words but she couldn't bear to say what's inside it, it would make her to sad.

"It's best to you see for yourself, I'll see you around Rarity." Lyra said as she walked away while crying silently, Rarity wanted to comfort her but she had no idea what she would have said to her to comfort her as she didn't know why she was crying, Rarity closed her door.

She looked at the envelope it was sealed, she hesitated as she was about to look at a secret only she was allowed by Twilight to know about, she wondered if she should open it and look inside. She was almost scared to read it.

Shaking, she sat down and tried to calm herself so that she could focus on reading the letter without being nervous about the letter and then she ripped open the envelope and unfolded the letter and read it.

"Dear friends, since I think that you all should know everything that is happening in my life and that you are the only ones I can trust with this then there is something you must know, I am going to marry Discord, he is the only one that I ever had feelings for, we both love eachother dearly. I hope you all can accept my choice, we love eachother so this is the best decision for us, we hope that you are all happy for us, we hope you all can celebrate our marriage which will be two weeks from now, all of the information is in a phamphlet that was in the envelope. Love Twilight Sparkle" the letter read.

Rarity was shaking as she set down the letter, her parents couldn't have known about this, the only ones that now know this are Celestia and her friends, she set the letter down and almost fainted but from shock but got to her seat in time. She stared at the letter and then grabbed it with her magic, and ran outside with it.

She didn't think of a anything else as she ran to the royal palace of Celestia, she saw that the sky was getting gray but she thought nothing of it the guards let her through as she ran down a long corridor, she opened the doors with her magic and saw Discord and Celestia talking to eachother.

"Rarity? There's no time, something is going on in the sky, we weren't scheduled for any rainstorms and yet it's gone all dark up there! We haven't been able to figure it out!" Celestia said, Rarity looked to the streets and saw several ponies looking at the clouds.

"I-I got the letter! Is it true!?" Rarity asked, Celestia turned to look at Luna and mouthed an evacuation order to her and then Luna ran out of the room to evacuate the Ponyville.

"Yes it is true, I'm sorry we didn't tell you, Twilight wanted everything to be kept under wraps and she wanted the details kept between me and her and a couple of other ponies, we apologize." Discord said.

"Rarity I'm sorry but we can't talk about that right now, we have a problem, if you noticed the sky getting dark then you'll know what I'm talking about, something in the sky is blocking the sun we don't know if it's another creature like the last one but we've been thinking about calling in the Royal Guard to take care of it." Celestia said.

"Why can't the elements take care of it?" Rarity asked as she was confused, Celestia winced as she looked at Rarity.

"I'm not sending in you and your friends as I'm afraid I will lose you, we only need one one way to defeat it and that magic, there is a few defensive spells powerful enough to take it down that only Twilight Sparkle knew so I was just thinking about letting the Royal Guard fight it." Celestia said, as soon as they were quiet something fell from the sky, a guard looked through the window and screamed.

"Evacuate! There's something running straight towards us!" The guard yelled Celestia urged Rarity to get out before the object hit her, Rarity ran out and then a fireball slammed into the castle, Discord watched Rarity leave with concern as Rarity dodged fireballs that were raining down.

Celestia sent in the Royal Force to fight it, the uncpecified creature fought them, Celestia then figured it all out, this monster was related to the same unspecified alien family the other creature that Twilight defeated belonged to, Celestia told a newspony to save the information for tomorrow's paper as she had to get the word out.

The monster wrecked havoc on Canterlot and wrecked half of the tower, it fell so Celestia quickly sent a message to Rarity and her friends about the creature Rarity finally understood how it could be killed, which was the same way Twilight killed the other one.

Discord helped the Royal guard evacuate several ponies from their homes while Rarity knew that she would have to be the one to kill the creature as she had the same defensive spells Twilight had, she knew that she could be killed but she wanted to try any way.

Celestia however had Rarity brought to safety underground by a Royal Guard, Rarity protested but didn't fight back, she was told to wait in an emergency shelter that was guarded, she did not like this.

"I want to help, I think I can help! I know the same spells Twilight knew!" Rarity yelled, the guards shook their heads.

"Sorry Rarity but Celestia ordered us to stop you for your own protection, she doesn't want to lose you and your freind wouldn't either, stay here till its killed." The guard said.

"But sir...." Rarity began to say but the guard put her under in the bunker

Rarity hated this, it was her and her friends duties to help the ponies of Equestria but Celestia didn't want to put Rarity and her friends through danger to save Equestria even though that was their duty, Rarity watched the monster fight the several guards, as the battle waged on it killed several more ponies.

As the battle progressed the Royal guard couldn't make any headway as the monster teared through Ponyville, buildings were burning and collapsing, Celestia watched it from the safe distance she was at, she wouldn't be able to fight this thing even if she was that powerful.

While this helpless situation went on Twilights grave started to rock, as the monster tore through the streets of Ponyville causing absolute carnage ponies were to focused on the monster as Twilights grave burst open, suddenly the ponies and Celestia along with Discord and Twilight's friends looked toward the sky and saw a bright purple light growing there.

The light then burst apart and millions of ponies squealed in delight as Twilight Sparkle hovered over them, Twilights friends and Discord saw Twilight, Twilight landed by the castle as she had been resurrected. Twilights friends ran torwards Celestia and Twilight.

"Twilight! I thought you were dead, the monster stabbed you through the heart" Celestia said overcome with emotion, Celestia hugged her tightly and Twilight struggled to breath so Celestia let go and chuckled with embarrassment.

"I wasn't really dead, I really don't know how to explain it, but that didn't kill me, my soul was to great for it to be destroyed, hell Im an Alicorn." Twilight said.

"But alicorns can't resurrect, they are immortal sure but they can't survive from something like a stab to the heart!" Celestia said, Twilight shrugged so Celestia dropped it. Discord stood there speechless, Twilight smiled at him.

"Twilight, we all ached about your death, I couldn't move on....I-" Discord said, Twilight shushed him.

"Just shut up and kiss me!" Twilight said as they kissed each other on the lips, Celestia looked impatiently at them.

"Yuck!" Rainbow Dash stated.

"This is all well and good but um can't you guys kiss later? We have like a situation going on....monster....attacking ponies...hello?" Celestia said. Twilight pulled back from the kiss and Discord apologized.

"Sorry...she's right...the only way we can kill that creature is if we know more about the last one....I have to go up there and kill it...I'm powerful enough that I should be able to conquer it." Twilight said.

"I don't want you doing that again....I don't want to loose you your friends don't want to loose you." Celestia said.

"No we don't that's why Celestia wants to find another way...." Rarity said.

"Well your going to have trouble with that, if your other forces didn't defeat it then that's considered ineffective, I don't want to risk my friends lives I have to go alone." Twilight said.

Celestia decided to let Twilight go by herself as Twilight had a point, had a brilliant idea on her mind, she looked over at the element necklaces and then she looked at Twilight.

"Alright you can do it by yourself and you know how me and my sister used all the elements to banish Discord along time ago...well since you are an Alicorn you could use the elements all at once, it was something I never told you before, it's tiring but it's possible to do it. I didn't tell you before you sacrificed yourself as I didn't think about it at the time." Celestia said, Twilight immediately grabbed all of the necklaces and the crown and wore all of them.

"I'll come back, I won't die again, I promise all of you that!" Twilight said to them, Discord watched Twilight leave with anxiety but Celestia went to calm him, Twilight flew torwards the monster and made sure to stay at a safe distance so she couldn't get harmed.

Twilight had never used all of the elements at once before but she knew that it was possible for her to do it as she was an Alicorn, she glared at the monster as it roared at her, she closed her eyes as she powered up the elements, the monster then charged torwards her but Twilight was to quick for him as all six elements lit up and shot a beam at the creature.

It howeled in pain as Twilight concentrated on fighting it with the elements, the elements beams wrapped around the gigantic creature as they trapped him inside, Twilight groaned as she concentrated on growing the prison around the monster, all of the citizens watched with shock as Twilight caused the monster to evaporate.

It screamed in pain as it dissolved from the elements, finally it was dead, Twilight landed and panted heavily, Ponyville cheered with delight as the monster was dead, Twilight collapsed as she panted, the guards and the citizens left the bunker and helped her up, Celestia and her friends plus Discord walked up to her.

"I never knew you were that powerful Twilight!" Celestia told her, her friends hugged her as she chuckled, Equestria was saved from destruction, it was over, her friends hugged her. Twilight was emotional

"Now that that's over what are you going to do now?" Rarity asked, Twilight smiled and looked at Discord.

"You know I can hear the faint sound of wedding bells in my head." Rarity joked, Twilight blushed.

"I was going to marry her in a private ceremony but....Twilight's death happened and I just became depressed and I stayed away but now that everything will be okay....why not...."

"Hey I'm curious about something! If you two have kids would they be a combination of Pony and Draconequus?" Rarity asked, Twilight furrowed her brow as she thought about that.

"Honestly I'm not sure, it depends on which DNA from the parents but it's a possibility. What do you think?" Twilight said to Discord.

"I'm actually not sure, I thought you would know that better than I do!" Discord said.

"Yeah your an egghead Twilight you should know!" Rainbow Dash teased, Twilight rolled her eyes.

"Alright already, let's just not worry about it for now, I don't even think I want kids but I'll think about it!" Twilight said.

"I actually agree, we should be helping the ponies rebuild instead of standing around and talking." Discord said, Celestia nodded in agreement and for the next several weeks Twilight, her friends and Discord helped Ponyville rebuild over several days, Twilight's grave was filled back up and the statue was moved to Canterlot to be preserved and was put on display for ponies to still be able to see it.

After the rebuilding Twilight announced that she would have an official wedding ceremony and allowed Rarity make her a wedding dress, the wedding was a small wedding as Discord and Twilight thought that even though it involved the princess of Equestria and a reformed Discord they didn't want to make it seem like it was a big deal and they didn't want to make it seem more important than the lives that were lost in the fight against the creature in fact Twilight and Discord made sure that the funeral for all the civilians that was bigger than their wedding.

Also another important thing was the announcement of the species of the two creatures that Twilight killed, it was a huge press event.

"The species that involved the monster that killed Twilight and the one Twilight defeated with the elements is a parasitic organism called an AEL which stands for Ancient Equestrian Lifeform, these organisms have been around for centuries, they are parasitic because they lay eggs inside a life form and the parasite uses the body to grow a monster in it, the monster then rips out of the body and grows." Luna said.

"Ew!" Rarity remarked as she was disgusted by such a disgusting fact, the ponies looked at her with annoyance and Rarity chuckled with embarrassment, Luna rolled her eyes and continued.

"We have no idea where they come from but we do know that they came to conquer our home which we will not allow, we will begin building defenses against them so that we don't have to use the elements on them all the time, an alert system will be established and sensors will be put in place to alert Equestria which will be called AELAS or Ancient Equestrian Lifeform Alert System." Luna said.

The ponies clapped at this as they were happy that they were building defenses, the defenses were built over an entire year, finally AELAS was unveiled in a press conference, Twilight herself pulled the cover off of the system to the applause of several ponies and media ponies.

Soon several cannons were put in place all over Equestria to shoot down any AEL monster that enters and a giant wall was built over several days as a shield, Twilight was given a medal for the battle that she died in and Twilight was honored all over Equestria.

Twilight and Discord went on a honeymoon and then moved into Twilight's castle together and adjusted to their marriage quickly, they were happy, and even though it was peaceful now Twilight and her friends knew there would always be a threat to Equestria and whether it was an AEL or an evil ruler, the mane six would always be there to save the day.

And so Twilight and Discord lived happily together as their friends were happy for them as life continued for all of Equestria.
