Chapters Chapter 2: The flashback.
As Fluttershy trotted into the old mansion, the doors slamming shut behind her she suddenly started to get lots of old memories from the old mansion, as she looked up as she were seeing a flashback. Memories flooding into her mind, not focusing on anything else.
In the flashback.
Rainbow Dash was flying far ahead of Fluttershy, since Fluttershy couldn't fly as a filly and was trying to best to keep up, as she yelled "Rainbow, wait up!... You know I can't fly..."
Her friend flew back to her, and frowned "Sorry Flutters... I was just excited! We haven't been to this place in such a long time! At least a few days!"
Fluttershy sighed and looked at her friend "Dash, it's not like it's been an eternity." She joked.
Rainbow Dash giggled a bit, and smiled at Fluttershy and landed next to her, as they approached the mansion. Fluttershy walked up to the doors and opened them slightly, trotting in with Rainbow Dash following behind her.
Her flashback soon ended, and she looked around while smiling to herself "This place gives me so many memories... if Rainbow Dash were to be anywhere, it would absolutely be here... I know her by now, I'm sure of it!..." She nodded to herself, and started to trot up an old wooden staircase, every stair she stepped on gave out a low moan. She sighed, remembering how scared she used to be of the stairs, thinking it was usually just a ghost or some other type of monster as a little filly. I used to be a lot more scared and shy as a little filly, but my friends have given me courage now. I thank them for that if I don't make it out of here alive... She thought to herself as she got to the top of the stairs and gasped, as down the hall there was a figure... pure white, with glowing yellow eyes.... a ghost.

I know these chapters have been short, but hopefully my next one will be 1,000+ words! I hope you enjoy the story, all feedback is alright with me! I don't mind if you leave something negative, it's your own opinion.
As Fluttershy saw the figure she squealed in fear, not knowing what it was as she turned around and ran while talking to herself "W-what is that thing?! I-It wasn't here when Dash and I came here as fillies! It looks like a ghost!..." She squealed out nearly crying, galloping for her life.
As she turned around a corner she squealed as the ghost seemed to appear right around the corner and she ran in the other direction and cried to herself "W-what's going on... I just want to find my friend!... Is it too hard to even do such a simple thing as that?!"
She came to a large halt noticing she had ran into a dead end, the ghost approaching her as a voice was heard from behind the ghost "HALT!" Behind the ghost there was a pony who Fluttershy couldn't see, but had some sort of device aimed at the ghost.
The pony pulled some trigger and big gust of air come out, the ghost tried to escape but was no match from the wind and got sucked up into the device as the pony looked at Fluttershy concerned "Are you OK miss?! Never mind you must answer that later! We must leave, it is too dangerous here!"
She was about to speak up as he pushed a button, and a hatch opened up behind her. Without warning he pushed her into the hatch as she screamed in shock, as there was some metal slide like structure they were sliding down.
Nearly 5 minutes later.
After the slide had ended they both had appeared in some kind of bunker, it was full of different gizmos and gadgets. He looked over at her and smiled "That was a close one miss, those spirits would've had you good for dead. They're pretty dangerous. The one that had just appeared in front of you wasn't strong, but it could've hurt you. Luckily I saw you come in."
She looked up at the pony "B-but... when I came here as a young filly... there were no ghosts here!... I mean my friend always suspected that the mansion could've been haunted. B-but I didn't believe her!... I thought it was just a harmless prank to give me a good scare or something! R-right?... It was just a prank... j-just an old harmless prank that was told to scare your friends and then have a good laugh afterwards..."
He frowned and sighed "Sorry miss, that isn't how it works here. This used to be a nice place, very nice. But after years of overgrown plants and ponies dying around the property, their souls were trapped here and could never move on. But there is one thing I must ask you miss, you seem like a good pony. What's your name?"
She looked down and then back up and then nodded to herself "My name... is Fluttershy... and your name? What might that be?" She said in her soft voice.
He smirked at her... and gave a soft smile... "My name is...."

Hey everyone, it's me Fluffy Soul. I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a while. Lately I've been getting into drawing a lot, and school has started up for me as well. Also going through some stuff irl, I'm really sorry. BUT, I am going to start working on a new chapter tomorrow, and I am going to start on a new book about my OC Galexia Night today! The sun rose up from behind the horizon, at it's usual time as Celestia has awoken and the sun has been raised. Today would be a big day for Fluttershy, she was going to go to the old mansion that hasn't been searched by anypony, because it was only known to Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash.... or was it?
Rainbow Dash has been missing for three whole weeks, not even Pinkie Pie has been able to find her. Which is odd because it's usually easy for Pinkie to find anypony, but... even she couldn't find the cyan pegasus, with a rainbow mane.
Fluttershy awoke a few minutes after the sun rose, stretching her wings as she fed her animals their usual food, and Angel his carrot. She looked over at Angel "Um... Angel?" She asked, fear being left in her voice as she thought of what could happen while she's at the old mansion, and how her animals would survive without her being there for such a long time...
The bunny turned to her, wondering what she was going to say, then she spoke. "I just wanted to say that I will be gone for a little while... and I need you to be in charge while I'm gone... think you can handle it?" She asked, starting to look morose at the feeling of leaving her animals for such a long time.
Angel looked at her while nodding, going back to eating his Carrot. Fluttershy smiled "Thank you Angel... make sure nothing bad happens while I'm gone, ok?..."
Angel just turned to her, and sighed nodding again. This made Fluttershy smile, knowing the little rabbit was somewhat not trustworthy, but he was able to watch over the cottage while she was gone.
"I promise I'll be as back as soon as I can Angel... I love you..." She smiled softly, giving her bunny a warm and gentle hug. This made Angel smile as well, as Fluttershy soon let go of him and trotted out her door, shutting it behind her.

This is my first book on fimfiction and my first MLP fanfiction, if there is anything wrong with it let me know! I've used Wattpad before so I'll have to get used to fimfiction. I hope you enjoy the story!
The birds were chirping in the trees, squirrels were running through the trees, and ducks swam through a pond as Fluttershy was trotting through the Everfree forest, not knowing what could happen.
The Everfree forest has been a strange place for a long time. Many different weird and interesting creatures live here, some scary, some cute, some shy, and some... seem like actual monsters, it's very unpredictable and most of the forest is unknown to ponykind.
After nearly three hours of trotting, galloping, and stopping Fluttershy arrived at her destination... an old mansion, that still looked in excellent shape. She smiled a bit, remembering the memories she had her with her best friend, and how Rainbow Dash had always thought the place was haunted. I guess Rainbow could've been right... She said in her head, wondering about what could happen next.
She walked over to the mansion, up the giant stone steps and to the huge two front doors, lots of old memories filling her head. She remembered when Rainbow Dash and herself went up to the highest room, she looked up at the highest room and gasped starting to back up. At the window... she saw the outline of a figure.. not a pony, it was staring right down at her... blood red eyes glowing in the darkness...
Right as she started backing up she heard a loud and scary voice. "Greetings... Fluttershy, I have been expecting you to come and look for your friend Rainbow Dash, are you not?"
She gasped and looked up at the figure staring down at her and said in a shaky voice... "H-how do you know that's why I'm here?..."
The figure laughed at her fear, and smiled. It spoke "You see Mrs. Shy, Rainbow Dash might be here, I don't know... you'll have to find her yourself... good luck." It said as its eyes glowed even brighter and it laughed "You're gonna need it..."
The figure then disappeared not being able to be seen anymore, and the two front doors came flying open, leading her right into Foyer.... she looked around, thinking to herself. I think Rainbow Dash is here... but I need to find her... I need to do it, I can't let her or anypony else down! She then gave a determined look, and stared inside and nodded to herself, and went galloping into the old mansion. As soon as she had passed the front door, they slammed shut, almost sounding like a giant boom of lightning as they were slammed. She was locked in, until her quest was done...
