"I'm just gonna grab some cupcakes for us, I'll catch up with you later!" Spike says walking away from Thorax and joining the very long line of Crystal ponies.
Thorax decided to explore the Crystal Empire which was celebrating, Hearts and Hooves day for the first-time in many moons.
When he spotted the sight of a beautiful winged-pony danceing, over-head just before falling out of the sky so suddenly.
I was knocked out of the sky by this lovesick pony and I crash into Thorax, and instantly fell in love with him.
He bent his head, just a fraction of an inch so his pincers were just touching me.
"Your eyes—” I said, but he cut off my words with a kiss.
"What's Wrong?" Thorax looked past me and saw them coming towards us.
"Step aside Changeling, Amythems wing your coming with us now!" said a Warrior-type Changeling.
Thorax transforms into a ferocious bear.
He went with the most threatening form he could think of, which consisted primarily of bear but incorporated some aspects of other species to add to the intimidation factor.
The Changelings and Thorax (the bear) stared one another down, each of them breathing hard, two raging creatures one of dark magic the other light.
"Because, Spike sounds like a friend for life, who's made mistakes which he must of felt sorry for it."
"Twilight won't stop writing to me about her!" Thorax eye rolled his eyes.
"She's treated well in Ponyville, more then me. Her voice is to regal-like and no-pony will talked to me!"
Green-like flames erupted around his body once more and in his place was the a female blue dragon.
There's nothing to be unsure of. You're the leader for a reason. Make a decision and let it be known that the decision is final." "And if that doesn't work, turn into a bear."
"You can turn into a bucking huge black bear and then a dragon, most Changlings find it hard to transform into difficult shapes like that!?" I say sheepishly.
"You, seem to know an awful lot about Changlings, are you sure you're not hiding something from me?!"
"Um, well..." I feel too nervous I couldn't even move to look up into his eyes.
"I've got our Cupcakes!" Spike said running towards Thorax happily.
"Oh, Spike I have somepony, I'd like you to meet!"
"Thorax quit playing games, and eat your Cupcake!"
"Oh, I've also meet your older brother" Spike said before taking a huge bite out of his Cupcake.
"WHAT!?" Thorax dropped his cupcake in
"Aww, what's up bro,not happy to see me!?"
"Oh Pharynx, I didn't notice you their!"
"I wanted to see this Gulp and Hooves Day and beat up this Hive of Un-Reformed Changlings!"
"First of it's Heart and Hooves Day, and we're not BEATING up any Changelings!"
"Brother, sometimes I wounder if you are a real Changeling sometimes?"
"Pharynx, I'm not in the mood!"
"What's happened this time, and it better not be boring!"
"I fell in love with this..."
"Wait, no Changeling in history has ever fallen in LOVE before!?"
"I don't think the pony variation really matters. You love who you love."
"If this pony has true feelings for you, I won't need to go as anything but himself."
"I appear as a Pegisus plagued by a curse that transforms me into a Changeling Princess each and every sunset.
I must of had my eyes closed, because when I opened them, that was when I noticed him. He was taller then a normal Changeling, with a green coat and orange beetle-like mandibles protruding from his forehead and he had the most beautiful luminescent wings I had ever seen.
It wasn't until a short time had past that I soon realised, he was holding me which could only mean this Changeling must of caught me.
He gently placed a hoove around my body to check for injuries, before pulling me closer against his regal chest.
He also bent his head, just a fraction of an inch down, so that his pincers were just touching my head.
My every instinct were wildly on a alert, I felt the movement of his intentions change, what was he planning to do with her?
"Your eyes—” I said, but he cut off my words with a kiss.
Amythes Wing had only just noticed that He was not of the same Changeling breed as she was?)
(We Changelings would never act like this with another!?)
(He must be a reformed Changeling, that Queen Chrysalis, Mother had warned us about him!") she thought to herself.
This naive Changeling named Thorax had a kind, yet sensitive nature, making it easier for me to manipulate him.
He told me about the recent reports of our Changeling hive, who are currently here in the Crystal Empire Castle."
"Somepony has been feeding off the Crystal Ponies living here and on Heart and Hooves day of all things?"
(STUPID GRUBS) they deserved to be punished by these weak Crystal ponies!) Amethyst wing thought to herself showing disdain on her face but quickly covered it up with a beautiful smile.
"They will be responsible for starting a Civil War against our kind and the crystal ponies, that would be dangerous for the whole of Equestria?!" Thorax starts hyperventilating.
"Oh my, is it really that dangerous or are these Unreformed Changelings no match for you then?"
"I'm not vain or arrogant as Queen Chrysalis and her Changelings are slightly weaker!" The Green Changeling said rather hastily.
Oh, we haven't properly been introduced I'm Thorax King Of The Changelings and you are?" Thorax held out his hand in friendship and I took it, shaking it.
"I'm Amethyst Wing "sky dancer of the Crystal Empire."
But just as Thorax was about to say more, a familiar blue dragon started attacking Amethyst Wing out of nowhere.
"I'm Princess Ember, Daughter of Torch, Friend of Thorax, will protect you from this pretty pony!"
"What is it with every-pony trying to attack me today, leave me alone, I haven't done anything to Thorax!?"
Thorax became very protective of Amethyst Wing, transforming into a bear and challenged Ember to a fight when she started threatening her.
STOP! hurting my special some-pony!" The bear roared with fury at Ember.
”Let him tire himself out, He’ll calm down soon.” a purple dragon said from behind me. He was calmly eating heart-shaped cupcakes and kindly offering me one.
"Huh. A bear… that beats its chest. Gorilla bear? In any case, interesting to see that re-formed Changelings are still capable of transformation?"
Spike just chuckled at me. "Oh yeah, Reformed Changelings turn into all sorts of different creatures, what have you been living under?"
"I'm new to the Crystal Empire, so I don't know very many Ponies, Dragons or other creatures in Equestria."
"I'm Spike "The Brave and Glorious," who are you?"
"My name is Amethyst Wing and I'm a sky dancer for the Crystal Empire."
(A few moment later)
"Sorry for the interruption, and "I'll be leaving you two Soulmates alone."
"Why, you don't have to leave." Thorax said slightly saddened by Ember's sudden departure.
"I'm feeling sick looking at the pair of you, goodbye!" Princess Ember flapped her wings up and down and flew quickly away.
Spike then waved goodbye to Thorax and Amethyst Wing as he needed to get back to Ponyville.
"This same, sort of thing also happened a few weeks ago, when Spike accidentally invited Princess Ember and I both over to Ponyville on the same day."
"He thought that I would be too soft, and someone like Ember would never respect me!"
"I then showed him and thanks to Ember's advice, my pack of Changelings now respect me, I'm more assertive then ever!"
"But is Spike still your best friend now?"
"Yes, of course we're still best friends, Spike was the first creature to accept me for who I am."
"Isn't he amazing."
"He gave me a cupcake, I like him." Amethyst Wing spoke very fundly of Spike.
Thorax felt his wings vibrate with annoyance. As jealous thoughts filled his head with Spike and her together.
At the threat of losing her to some-pony else Thorax transformed into a Light-lime green, flying spider-like monster before changing back to his original form.
(Strange, why did I suddenly transform like that, I need to discuss this incident in the next Feelings Forum!?)
"Thorax, what a Soulmate mean because, I've heard this word a lot today?"
Thorax's face turned a whole new shade of pink, as he started to sweat before answering Amethyst Wing's question.
It's the one pony in the world that knows you better than anypony else. It's somepony who makes you a better pony. Actually, they don't make you a better pony, you do that yourself because they inspire you. A soul mate is somepony who you carry with you forever.
"Do you have now-where else to go?" Thorax asked me so unexpectedly.
"No, I don't."
"Well, I humbly invite you to the Changeling Kingdom and to The Hive as the first honoured guest in Changeling history."
The new Changeling Kingdom has grown plants and looks like a brighter and safer place to live then the Hive she used to live in before Queen Chrysalis' dethronement. Thorax has also convinced all of the renegade group of changelings to accept the hive's new ways.
This place was too bright and sickeningly sweet for Amethyst Wing as it was hurting her eyes. But she got used to the pain and carried on with Thorax touring her around his Kingdom.
"Can the metamorphosed Changelings still fly?"
Thorax answered her "Some don't fly now that they've changed."
He then further explained that "We wanted a quick visual way to say were no longer beholden to our previous hive-mind ways."
"Hence the brighter colours and different body shapes and configurations. It Helps to denote “individuality” in a unique way."
"Oh, I have some important business to discuss with the other Changelings!"
"I'm leaving you, in the capable hooves of my older brother Pharynx."
Pharynx is taller though slightly shorter than his younger brother Thorax and he is a different color and with red horns.
"Wait, why do I have to pony-sit for this pony?!
Thorax didn't have time to argue with his brother right now, as he then transformed into a lime green Maulwurf which is a creature that's half-bear, half-mole, half-raging-pile-of-claws".
"Because, I'm King of the Changelings that's why Pharynx!" he said before digging himself a hole to get away from them.
"Dose Thorax always transform into terrifying creature infront of all his guests?"
"Nope, you must be the lucky Changeling!"
"Changeling? I don't know what you're talking about."
"Cut the Grub, my brother may be foolish enough to fall for your disguise but you can't fool me!"
"Lower your disguise now, or I'll tell Thorax what you really are!"
"Okay fine!" Amethyst Wing shedded her disguise and in it's place was a female Changeling. She had glowling blue orb-like eyes and fangs. Her turquoise mane was beautiful braided and her tail was very long. On her back were a pair of pixie-like wings, but she had no holes in her legs.
"What's wrong with your legs, all Unreformed Changelings are meant too have holes in them?"
"I don't know, why that is I was born like this!"
Meanwhile back in the feelings forum
"Calm down, your Highness if you don't your transformations will only get worse!"
"Tell us how this happened?"
This started happening to me when I first met Amethyst Wing this morning and I suddenly felt these feelings towards her. I then felt jealousy and I've been transforming ever since!"
"You've got Changeling Fever, your Highness."
"Changeling Fever,what's that?"
"It's very common among Male Changelings." "You see when a male Changeling finds it's true mate, they can become very possessive of them and will fight anypony to the death if they get in his way."
"But it can be manageable, your chosen mate has to accept you and seal your fate with a kiss." "Then she is yours for all eternity."
"Oh, thank you!" Thorax did a happy loop before flying off to find Pharynx and Amethyst Wing.
"Pharynx, can you teach me how to fight?"
"I suppose, I could teach a weak Grub-ling like yourself, how to fight and defend against enemies."
"I'm back, so have you two been getting along?"
Luckily for Amethyst Wing, that she transformed back into her Pegasus form with Crystal wings before Thorax could see her true form.
"Nothing, that will interest you!" Pharynx said with a huff.
"Oh, okay now let's get Amethyst Wing settled in before it get's dark."
"Now that you mention it, I am feeling a little tired." Amethyst Wing started yawning.
A few hours later
Pharynx had just crept into Amethyst Wing's bedroom and was about to wake her up for Night fight training, when he stopped himself.
The full moon shone down in the bedroom. Pharynx doubled over, like he was in pain as he transformed Twist Leaves, wood, and moss covered his body, but his Moderate blue violet eyes where still visible.
Now as a Timberwolve he decided to then curled up next to Amethyst Wing to keep her safe and warm, falling fast asleep beside her.
Amethyst Wing sniffed to find a foul smell wafting in her room and gently opened both eyes to see where it was coming from, when she froze in place. There curled up beside her asleep. It was slightly bigger than a usual TimberWolf and the only thing that Amethyst Wing could think of was screaming, so that's exactly what she did!
Until the TimberWolve lifted up it's huge paw and brought it down on her muzzle to muffle her screams. It then growled at her in a voice that she now knew belonged to Pharynx.
"Would you keep your voice down, unless you want to wake up the whole Grub-ing Hive!!
"I'm sorry Pharynx, but you did scare me with that TimberWolve disguise!" I say lowering my tone.
"What, are you even doing in my bed anyway!?"
"You looked Grub-ing cold, so I thought that my body heat would keep you from frezing to death!" bearing his fangs at her in annoyance.
"Just be lucky, I'm not a real TimberWolve, if I was you'd be dead right now!"
"Pharynx, your not being very helpful to me right now!" I say letting out a sigh of annoyance at him being so stupid.
"Changeling Rule 1O1, know your enemies!" He looked very scary in his TimberWolve form.
"I have No enemies!!!"
"Then you soon will have, and I won't be their to PROTECT your WEAK GRUB-LING butt!" Pharynx had transformed back to his original form and yelled in her face.
(That was it, I've had it with every Grub-ling Changeling treating me like such a WEAKLING Princess!)
"Good Morning... Amet?" Thorax never got to finish his greeting, because he could only see big fat tears rollling down Amethyst Wing's muzzle. She flew off at Rainbow Dash's speed.
Thorax could see that his brother Prince and co-ruler of his Kingdom looked very angry at himself for some reason.
"What Did You Say To Her Pharynx?!"
"It's, non of your concern brother King!"
"It's,when you upset one of my honoured guests!" His voice boomed with almost the same power as the Canterlot voice that the Two Sister have.
I don't care what was said, JUST FIX IT!
"But How, I'm I going to Grub-ing do that?!"
"By going out to find her, before she's hurt or worse!" Thorax shouted at Pharynx before leaving to do his royal duties for the day.
"HEEEELP Me!!!!!!"
Pharynx had the sudden urge to transform himself into a monstrous black dragon with sharp fangs and strong and powerful claws. He had green flames that leapt from his maw, that nearly spelled death for the wild beast, who had decided to attack Amethyst Wing.
"ARE YOU HURT, DID THAT BEAST DO SOMETHING TO YOU?!" Pharynx was panting quite hard but he was seething with rage.
"I'm still angry with you, but Thank you for saving my WEAKLING butt!"
"I don't do feelings and I only said those things to hurt you, cos I'm falling for you, but I won't steal you away from Thorax, my Brother!"
"You, Love me but why!?"
"I don't know for Grub-ing sake!"
"I'm, sorry I flew away from you, it's just that you'd reminded me of home and all the unhappy things I had to do."
"What made you, leave The Hive?"
"I was born a Royal and trainned to become the next Queen Of The Hive, after Queen Chrysalis dies, but she became paranoid and banished me!"
"If I return back to The Hive now, she will kill me!"
"Then, your staying with us!"
"You, really want me to stay?!"
"Well, Thorax wants you to stay, I'm just saying will you?"
"Oh Good, you've made-up again!" Thorax brought the two of them into a group hug.
"What's, he doing to us?" I ask Pharynx while trying to breathe.
"Just let it happen, it will hopefully be over!"
"Hugging is a show of Friendship amoung Ponies in a Equstria."
"It's, Grub-ing weird and not Changeling-like at all!"
"Well, I love giving hugs to all my friends and family!"
"Which one of them is me, friend or family?"
"Um... both!" Thorax and Pharynx said at the same time.
Then Thorax wish to pay your way to a secret location where we wouldn't be disturbed buy any Changeling.
"Thorax why are we here, what is this place?"
"I took us to this place, because I've got something very important to ask you!"
"Can I kiss you?"
"Sure, I'd like that very much."
Then there was a letter directed to Thorax from Spike the Dragon saying that he was in the Crystal Empire and that Queen Of The Chagelings was here and they needed Thorax's help to re-form her.
"Okay I'm going to the Crystal Empire now!"
Epilogue:
As Thorax grows to become one of the new mane six (including himself, Ember, Starlight Glimmer, Trixie, Maud, and Spike), he and Ember both fall in love with Spike. Meanwhile, Maud and Trixie both fall in love with Starlight Glimmer.
