I'm usually disoriented, clumsy and as genial as a hibernating grizzly bear that's been woken up. So when my eyes opened and I didn't feel anything normal, I knew something was up. As I looked around in my limited view I took in the sight of a very well appointed bedroom. 'Nice place' I thought to myself. When my sense of feeling kicked in I felt warm. Not a uncomfortable kind of warmth, but the nice comforting type. I was about to drift off when two key points came to my attention. The first was the light breathing I could hear behind me and the next was the feeling of feathers covering...... me? My eyes widened in fear and adrenaline flooded my system. I got my 6'3" frame up and out of what I would call a bed as fast as I could. When I got some distance, I turned and looked at where I had been. My eyes opened wide in shock, then curiosity when I gazed upon the creature that was behind me. It was a pony? Had to be. It wasn't big enough to be a horse, but I estimate that it could look me dead in the eyes standing up. One thing I did notice was a well developed set of teats between its hind legs. Its a mare then. She had a black coat and a thick mane and tail. The biggest surprise I had was that she had wings and a horn. 'What the fuck?' 'Where the hell am I?' My mind was almost at the point where I was going to break down, when the mare woke up. She was bleary eyed for a moment until my absence was noted. When she spotted me standing there in shock she locked her....brown...eyes? No, it can't be. I know those eyes. "Ari?" When she nodded I stumbled, but before I could hit the floor she caught me. "It's ok, Vatore. I've got you. I will always catch you." She had such a beautiful voice. When I looked into her eyes I could see concern radiating in those brown orbs. "H-how? Why?" I wiggled out of her grasp and started pacing. Where I turned and looked at Ari, she was sitting on her haunches. Walking over to her, I started to see what other changes had happened my friend. "What in the nine hells is going on Arianna?" "I really don't understand the situation myself either, but I can try and explain it to the best of my abilities. To you, it was just last night. To me, I've been here in Equestria for a thousand years. We are currently in Canterlot Castle, Canterlot, Equestria." "Wait......wait. Your telling me, that we are in another world? And you've been here a thousand years? How is that possible?" "We still don't know Tor, but I was hoping that you had somehow followed me here. I waited and waited, but you never showed" she said sniffling. "I had almost given up until a guard ran into the throne room three days ago. When he started describing what they had found I left to see if you had finally got here and you had." She was smiling at me, tears running a race track down her muzzle. "I can't get over this" I said incredulous. "I'm standing here, holding a conversation with the only being I've been around for five years." I looked at her while running my fingers through her mane. "Can we even get home?" "No" she replied shaking her head. "Celestia has searched for a way and around seven hundred years ago said that there was no way for me to return to Earth and that includes you as well." When she finished Ari hung her head in shame. I couldn't stand to see her sad. I had gotten to where I could read her moods very well over the years. I gently set my right hand under her chin and pulled her head up so I could place my forehead against hers. With my blue eyes looking into her brown I smiled. "So, talking, wings and a horn and what's that mark on your flank? It looks like a pair of wings surrounding a broken heart." That got her to giggling and to me it was a beautiful sound. "Here in Equestria the main inhabitants are ponies. They are just as intelligent as humans and as you have no doubt noticed, can speak too. As to what I am now, I'm a alicorn. I represent all three kinds of ponies. Which are earth ponies, unicorns and pegasi. The mark on my flank is my cutie mark and you should know magic is prevalent here too." "What do you mean magic?" When I asked that, her horn glowed a bluish silver color and I was lifted off of the floor. "Ok, Ari. Uh, can you put me down now?" "Sorry, Tor. That was the easiest way to show you." She was grinning sheepishly. "Ok, next question. Who is this Celestia?" "She is the Princess of the Sun and co-ruler of Equestria. Her sister Luna is the Princess of the Night and the other co-ruler." "Well that's interesting, but that leads to my next question. Since your a alicorn. Does that make you a princess as well?" Her blushing answered my question. "Y-yes I am. I am the Princess of Compassion." "That is to be expected Ari. You are a Andalusian. Your breed is know for that." I told her smiling. "So, since we can't return to earth, not that I would want to" I mumbled "what happens to me?" "You shall stay in the castle with me and if anypony has a problem with that, I will deal with them." Her eyes had a fire in them that said she meant it. I was going to ask another question when someone knocked on her bedroom door. Lighting up her horn, Ari opened the door and when she did two more alicorns walked in. One was a alabaster white and had a multi colored mane and tail that moved on its own. She also had a stylized Sun on her flank and gold shoes on her hooves, a gold chest piece and a golden crown. Judging by the other one beside her, she could look me in the eye standing. The other one wasn't as tall, but she walked with the same authority as the tall one. She was a gorgeous dark blue with a darker blue mane and tail that also moved on its own. A added bonus was that her mane looked like a star field. On her flank was a black blotch with a white creasant moon. The regalia she wore was silver instead of gold. "Is he the one you have spoken fondly of for so many years Ari" the white one asked with a warm tone. "He is. Celestia, Luna, may I present my friend, Vatore Greymoon." "He is a tall one, is he not sister" Luna I'm guessing asked her sister. "Indeed he is Lulu. It's very rare that I find another that can see me at the same level." I started laughing when she said that. "It's nice for me as well. Normally I'm the tallest in a room, but I know a few people who are taller than me." When I finished I felt a bump and looked next to me. Ari had a mischievous grin on her muzzle. "I was taller than you once." "You was also a full grow horse, but someone left you in the wash too long and thus... you shrank" I replied to her grinning. I thought I could get one over. on her, but her grin only got brighter. "Well, be that as it may. Now that your here and I can speak. I can start sharing all those embarrassing moments I've seen." My face fell in realization. "You wouldn't." "Oh, yes I will. Believe me. I've got plenty of what's the word" she took a thoughtful pose while tapping her chin with a hoof. "Ah, yes. I believe it's called ammunition" she finished with a even bigger grin. As we was going back and forth, the sisters was taking it all in and giggling their hearts out. "I see someone is getting entertained by my discomfort." "Forgive us, Vatore" Celestia began still giggling. "Its just that I can see that both of you care greatly for each other and it's wonderful considering what I know of your world from Ari's stories." "Yes, even though I'm considered her owner, master or whatever, I've never treated her as a animal. Even as a filly I could see her intelligence and other traits that her breed was known for. To me, she was the one thing that kept me sane." I had been softly rubbing her cheek with a hand the entire time I spoke. I could see unshed tears in her eyes and I was overwhelmed by the emotions she was showing. "For what you did for me, I will always be grateful Arianna." What to do, what to doSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.A Spark and a HeartI woke up the same way that I have for the last few days. That's means a certain alicorn princess wrapped around me like I'm gonna disappear. I laid there not wanting to wake the beautiful mare beside me. Damn, I'm starting to think of her that way? After a moment of reflection, yes I am. The more I think on it, the more I realize that I've fallen for her. I know she has feelings for me, but to see me reciprocate those feelings. I believe I can. It wasn't long before I felt movement from my bed mate. I had made up my mind to try and see where my feelings took me. When Ari looked my way and smiled, I felt that my course was correct and thought action spoke louder than words. I wrapped my arms around her and gave her the most passionate kiss I could. At first she did nothing. Had I misread the situation I asked myself, but a moment later she grabbed me and pulled closer while deepening the kiss on her end. When we broke away, both of us was breathless. "So my dear Ari. Have I figured correctly on your feelings?" "Yes." She squeaked out. "For how long?" "Ever since I got here. I realized at that point that you was the most important part of my life. Being immortal meant I could wait for you and I did, Patiently. I am in heaven right now." "What does this mean for us? You claim me, I claim you or what?" "It means I can start to court you." "What the hell does that mean? I'm the one that has to chase you." That got the smile and giggle I so love from her. "Things are different here Tor. Mares outnumber stallions five to one so that's means that mares are dominant and control most important positions. It's the mares job to care for and provide for the stallions since there are so few." "You know that's not gonna fly with me right?" "I know my love." Hearing her say that almost made my heart stop. "I will not stop you from doing whatever you want. You would go stir crazy and I don't want that." "Well my angel. What does this make us? Boyfriend and girlfriend or is it something else here?" "It's coltfriend and marefriend here, but we would be each other's special somponies" she told me nuzzling my cheek. "That's interesting to know. Do we need to tell the others or keep this to ourselves?" "Since you are meeting Twilight and Cadence later. I think it would be more fun to let them figure it out. I know Cadence will notice. She is the Princess of Love after all." "As you wish my angel. I wonder if breakfast is ready?" That got me another smile and giggle combo from Ari. I don't think I'll ever get enough of that. We laid in bed kissing and cuddling for another twenty minutes before the expected knock and announcement that breakfast was ready. After getting ready, we walked out with Ari's left wing around my back and my right hand resting on her withers. When we entered the dinning hall, Celestia noticed the way we where and smiled. "I see congratulations are in order." "Why is that Sister" Luna asked looking up from her plate of pancakes. "They have discovered their love for each other Lulu." "Oh! Is that right? Well, congratulations sister Ari. I am happy for both of you." "Thank you both, but how did you know Tia?" "When you have been around as long as I have, you learn a few things." "I wonder what else she's learned" I whispered in Ari's ear. That little quip got me another beautiful giggle. "I heard that and I bet you would like to know." The shocked look on my face is what she wanted, but I fired right back. "Oh I'm sure I'll find out one day" I replied back at her. A shocked look crossed her muzzle then she blushed. Both Luna and Ari was laughing then. "Tor can give just as much as he takes Tia. You might have met your match in him." "It is entertaining to me as well Ari. It is not often thar dearest sister is rendered speechless." "I'm gonna start calling her Trollestia" I extolled. "Seems to be a most appropriate name for my dear sister Vatore." Luna's teasing made Celestia's blush deepen. "I'm sure you shall find out one day as well little sister" was Celestia's retort. "Neither of us has found our one yet." "What is this 'one' that the three of you refer to" I asked innocently. "The one is our eternal mate. The one that would give our lives true meaning and finally give is what we treasure most. True love and foals. Cadence has found her one and now Ari has her one." "What about Twilight" Ari asked. "She hasn't been a alicorn long enough to feel the yearning yet. She will in the future though" Luna said with a disheartening tone. "I'm sure that both of you will find your other half in the future as well. Both of you are too beautiful and kind to be alone forever." For that phrase I got blushes from both sisters. "It seems you have both of the elder princesses flustered my love." "I only speak the truth and you know it" I defended. Moving on, when will I meet the other two princesses?" "They should be here any moment, I'm forewarning you now. Twilight is a very curious mare and since you are the only human to come to Equestria, she will want to study you." I looked at Celestia with a small hint of fear. "Should I fear for my life then?" "No Tor. I will not let anything happen to you. She will have to stick with questions" Ari's assurance helped me a lot. We had been eating for a few minutes when the hall doors opened. I wasn't paying attention to anything until I heard a gasp then a strange pop. The next thing I know is I have a lavender colored alicorn mare grinning maniacally in my face. I couldn't help but say the first thing that popped into my head. "This isn't going to end well." Meeting the other two PrincessesI was eyeball to eyeball with Twilight Sparkle and I was getting nervous. Her manic grin was disturbing. About the time I was really uncomfortable, Ari pulled me back and wrapped her wings around me. "Twilight your scaring Vatore. Please have some patience. He isn't comfortable with that kind of attention." I watched as realization dawned in her eyes. "I'm so sorry. I get excited when I meet a new species or make a new discovery." "It's ok Twilight. Tor just has a hard time meeting new people because of his past." She looked down at me and nuzzled the top of my head. "You ok?" "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little shook up. Talk about close encounters with the inquisitive kind." That got me some giggles from everyone except Twilight. She looks at me with her head cocked, looking like a confused puppy. "Don't worry Twilight, I will answer your questions. Just.....don't get all crazy please." "As I said, I'm sorry. I just get overexcited sometimes." "It's understandable. My favourite subjects in school was history and science. Reading is a favorite time killer as well, I guess you could say I am somewhat of a bookworm." When I said that Twilight's mane frazzled and a dreamy look entered her eyes. "He's perfect. Can I keep him Princess" she asked looking Celestia's way. "Sorry Twilight. He's taken already." "Well ponyfeathers. Oh, well. I can at least still ask you questions right?" She had reverted back to normal that fast. Arianna will be with me at all times I thought to myself. "Of course Twilight. I said I would and I'm a man of my word." "Okay, good. How does tomorrow sound? You can come to Ponyville." "Twilight. Tor is still adjusting to being here. When he is comfortable, I will bring him to Ponyville myself. Is that okay" Ari asked her. "Sure" Twilight replied looking at Ari. "Just don't forget." "I promise Twilight, I won't forget" Ari told her smiling. She then looked to the other princess. "I hadn't forgotten about you Cadence." The last princess I have yet to be introduced to smiled warmly. "It's ok aunty. I could wait for Twilight. I know how she is." Ari just giggled a bit and turned back to check on me. I was still wrapped up in her wings and I honestly wasn't in a hurry to leave my spot. I think she noticed and nuzzled the top of my head again. "You sure you're ok?" "I'm fine angel." When I said that Cadence gasped and started to giggle. "Did you find your special somepony Aunty Ari" she asked excitedly. "Yes I did Cadence" she stated as she unfolded her wings from around me and listened to me grumble about it too. "I would like to introduce you to Vatore Greymoon." I turned to the candy pink alicorn and bowed. "Nice to me you Princess." "Please, Cadence is fine Vatore. You are practically family so no formalities." "As you wish Cadence" then I turned to Twilight. "Sorry for my behaviour Twilight. I'm not very good with that kind of attention as Ari said." "As I said before, it's ok Vatore. I got too excited as I'm known to do." "Very well, Twilight." I then turned to Cadence. "What are you the princess of?" The smile I got from her was almost as creepy as Twilight's. "I am The Princess of Love" It took me a few moments to process that. When it did, I could see why she had got excited. I looked back at Ari. "Should I run?" Ari just smiled and shook her head. "No. Cadence is not as bad as Twilight, though" She broke off attaining a thoughtful pose. "She can get excited herself, especially when it concerns matters of the heart" Ari explained. "That means if I break your heart somehow, she'll hunt me down I bet." "I doubt that will ever happen. I doubt you could break Aunty Ari's heart" Cadence remarked. "You have no idea how stupid I can get do you" I deadpanned. "I know your emotions and thought processes almost as well as you know yourself Tor. I can and will stop you from being stupid my love" she promised me as she nuzzled my head more. "Well I guess we now know who will be the emotionally stable one in the relationship." "I am the older one now" Ari remarked smiling. "Robbing the cradle are we?" A round of giggles sounded off. "Maybe I am" Ari breezily answered. "Then again, you do like older women." "I do not. There was only a year between us thank you and please don't go there again." Her reminder of my ex dampened my mood. It still hurts me to think about it. "I'm sorry Tor. I didn't mean to bring that up" Ari apologized while nuzzling me again. "It's okay, Ari. I haven't though about them in a while. I sometimes wonder how they are doing." "Like they should matter Tor. They are the ones who turned their backs on you." "I realize that, but I can't help but wonder" sighing I figured I needed to lose that train of thought. "I guess it doesn't matter now does it" I asked looking at the one who has my heart now. "No it doesn't. We are here and we are together" she said smiling. "That's all that should matter to me and you." "Of course dear." I heard giggling from the other mares in the room. "You already have him trained don't you sister" Celestia asked the black alicorn currently squeezing me. "No, it's not about training Tia. I know what makes him tick so to speak. I learned how he looked at the world, how he interacted with it, but most importantly I learned when he needed a friend" Ari nuzzled me some more. "I lost count of the times I pulled him back from the edge. He was broken from what his family did to him. Recovery has been long and hard for Tor, but he has made progress." "If I may ask" Twilight began "what happened?" "My family turned on me for one simple reason" I replied. "Greed." Burning my past.Author's Note I figured I better change the rating because of a little darker content in this chapter. Its not much and it might not be necessary, but I'd rather be safe than sorry. Burning my past. "Greed" Twilight asked in confusion. "Yes, greed. Six years ago, I won a record breaking lottery jackpot. It was so large, overnight I became the fifth richest man in a country of three hundred and twenty million people. A year later my family turned on me and basicly destroyed my life for the money. I luckily had hidden some for a fall back. I took it, changed my name and found the most remote area I could to live out my life. Before I went into my exile, I bought Ari to keep me company. And now here I am." I snorted and realized that in the short time I've been here, I'm far happier than I was before. "I will do everything in my power to make sure you are happy everyday Tor. I'm also sure the other four Princesses will as well." Arianna spoke with conviction. Looking at the others, they was nodding their collective heads in affirmation. "Just have patience with me, please. I'm better than I was, but I still have problems from time to time. Humans have a long memory and a traumatic event like that will stick with me for years. If you have questions ask Ari. She'll know the answers. Now, is there a gym or training center close? I haven't had a work out in a few days and can tell it." "I can have a guard show you to their training grounds of that if suitable" Celestia commented. I nodded and she asked one of the guards to lead me there. Before I left, I turned and gave Ari a quick peck on the lips and told her I would see her later. When we arrived at the training center I looked around and was impressed at the equipment they had , but of course it was designed for a ponies anatomy. I either had to adapt or design my own for my use. I only trained to keep myself in shape since before my problems I was kinda chunky. Deciding to get started, I found a clear area of grass and started with the basics. Stretches, pushups, sit ups and others. Then I found where they did their running and did two miles. By the time I was done I had worked up a good sweat and could use a good bath. Walking the track to cool down, I finally noticed something. All of the guards were mares and they was pointedly staring at me. As I continued my cool down, a group of five approached me. A pegasus, three unicorns and a pair of earth ponies. This could be bad I thought as they stopped in my path and being considerate I stopped too. "What's a fine hunk of stallion or whatever you are doing out here without a mare" one asked taking a deep breath " and one that smells good too." I was confused by the mares statement. "What do you mean by that ma'am?" "Stallions should stay at home where they are safe. Not doing what you have been doing for the last hour. You could hurt yourself and that would be bad for your mares because then you wouldn't be available for them" another answered. Then I remembered what Ari had told me about the gender imbalance. I guess polygamy is legal here then. "Sorry, but I'm a one mare man and I don't think she'll be into sharing me right now. Besides, where I'm from, things work differently than here." I was hoping that my statement would get them to leave, but it didn't. Instead they got closer and surrounded me. "Oh, come on. Its not like we would harm you. All mares have a natural aversion to harming a stallion and I'm sure your mare wouldn't mind us borrowing you for a little while, so to speak." My worry started to get worse right about then. Am I about to be gang raped by this group of mares? I figure that all ponies are naturally stronger than me, but I don't know by how much and knowing that, I doubt I could honestly run from them or fight them off. I needed to diffuse the situation before something happens, to me primarily. "What is your name, if I can know?" "Lieutenant Star Struck of Princess Arianna's Sky Guard." I smirked. Perfect. "Then you know who I am." That got her to pause for a moment, then realization crossed her features. "Your him. The one she has been looking for the last thousand years" she said with a hit of trepidation. "Yes, I am" I answered nodding. "This is the first chance I've gotten to get a workout in. The gender balance is fifty/fifty where I'm from and monogamy is the rule. Besides, I will not break Ari's trust." Saying that, the mares started to back off. "I...I'm sorry your Highness. We didn't know, please forgive us." I was taken aback by her words. "Why did you call me that?" "Because you are in a relationship with the Princess, you are basically a Prince yourself." Oh really I thought to myself. I believe it's time to sit down and talk to my Ari about this. Looking down to the now bowing mares, I decided then that I didn't like it. "Stand up. I'm not one for that kind of shit and your forgiven. Just don't let it happen again." "Of course, your Highness" they all echoed and took off. Great. This just added more to my plate I though heading back to the castle and a much needed shower. I was currently standing in front of a mirror, checking myself before I got a shower. I had just glanced at it while walking by. What caught my attention was the fact that I didn't have as much grey in my midback length brown hair. I was fourty years old and with the stress I had been under the last few years, I had a lot of grey, but it seemed to be going away. So, I started to check over my six foot three inch frame to see what other changes I could see. Scanning my blue eyes over my body, I noticed that I had more muscle definition as well. It wasn't toned or body builder like, but you could see individual muscles easier. Of course I also weighed two hundred and seventy pounds. Something else I found odd was the crows feet around my eyes. They wasn't as numerous. Shrugging, I figured I'd ask Ari about it later. I was walking back into Ari's bedroom, well I should say our bedroom now, with a towel around my waist and one on my head drying my hair when I felt two wings wrap around me. I wasn't too worried because a, the pony was tall and that left only two choices as to their identity and b, their scent. When we was on Earth, I would use a jasmine and vanilla scented product when I did Ari's rub downs and I seems she still likes that combination. "And what are we doing" I asked teasingly. "Holding on to my stallion for a moment." "You act like I haven't been around in a month" I teased. "You left at eight thirty this morning. Its a little after five right now. To me that is a month." I had to chuckle at the silly mare. "What are you laughing for? I'm being serious here Tor." "I'm not laughing at you Ari. I just find it funny that you are so possessive of me." Turning around, I looked into her eyes and could see the love and devotion they held for me. "I can't help it. I've waited for your for a thousand years and now that I finally have you, I'm never going to let go. You are mine for eternity." What? I asked myself. "You need to explain that as well as a few other things that's happening to me, as well as what one of your guards said to me earlier." She sighed and went to the bed. When she got settled she patted the spot next to her and waited for me. When I got settled she began. "What's the first question?" "Why did one of your guards say 'your Highness' to me earlier?" Nothing else mattersI watched as Ari fidgited for a minute or two. Knowing she was uncomfortable, I set my left hand on her neck and started to rub it in a sequence that she always enjoyed. "I say I know you so well, but you know me that way too don't you?" "What did you expect? Five years being in the presence of each other day in and day out let's you learn what the others likes and dislikes are." She smiled and nodded her head in agreement. "Can't argue about that. Anyway, did the guard explain herself?" "Yes, she said it was because of my relationship with you. She pretty much said that I'm a Prince now." "She wasn't wrong. Because I have declared you my 'one' you are recognized as royalty even though we are not married." "Which is something you want?" "Yes." Ari answered softly. "It's all I have thought about for the last millennia. That I could call you my husband one day if you would have me." "I'd be a idiot if I refused you that Ari. Yes, I think this is moving fast, but for some reason, I'm at peace with myself after so long. The anxiety I used to wake up with everyday, I haven't felt it for the last couple of days when I'm waking up next to you." The beautiful smile I received from her lifted my soul even further. My old insecurities about life was leaving me and I didn't have a problem with it. "I am happy that you are feeling better as the days go bye. Your happiness is all I'm worried about after what you went through. You are too kind of a soul to suffer after what happened ." A giggle left her muzzle before speaking again. " I dare say some ponies could learn a thing or two from you Tor." "Well, I don't know about that, but something else I noticed is the grey is leaving my hair and we'll the only way I can put it is I look younger." For some reason her smile faltered and she looked away for a moment. When she looked back, a small hint of fear clouded her eyes. "Please, don't hate me, but it's because you are my one. My magic will restore you to the point of your physical peak and you will become immortal or I should say ageless. Alicorns can still die, but age will not take us. That is why a alicorns one is called our eternal love." Needless to say I was stunned. Its a lot to take in, but to spend eternity with a being that loves me. I don't have a problem with that. "Why would I be mad at you Ari. Eternity with one that loves me for who I am. I can live with that, as long as you don't get tired of me." I was suddenly engulfed by the black beauty. "I could never get tired of you Tor. A alicorns love for their one is unbreakable. Even in death we would find each other. That is the strength of the bond we would have." "So, I'm going to be dealing with a possessive, love struck ageless being who I have found out is the third strongest out of six alicorns." I smirked cause I'm gonna have a little fun with her. "I better watch my steps or I'll get fried by said alicorn." "Y...you...ass." She squealed. What I had to endure was the most epic tickle torture I've ever encountered. For fifteen minutes she didn't let up. When I finally got away from Ari, I was breathless and laid out on the bedroom floor. "Your are terrible. Have you learned your lesson Tor?" I looked at my companion and gave her a devious smile. "Have you ever known me to give up?" I gave her a shit eating grin and pulled the mare on top of me and began my own assault. Ari started squealing and was giggling so hard she was crying. "Please Tor! Please stop! You are HORRIBLE!" Okay, that got me to stop. I had never heard a voice that loud. " Sorry!" she squeaked. At that moment her bedroom doors literally shattered and four Princesses came running in. Here I am on the floor with a gasping and clearly embarrassed Ari splayed on top of me, while I'm sure I had a look on my face thinking I'm about to die. "Sister" Celestia asked in a questioning tone. "Sorry Tia. We had a little tickle war" Ari answered in a sheepish tone. I watched Celestia get a small smile, while Luna was hiding a giggle behind a hoof. Both Cadence and Twilight was openly laughing. "Very well Ari. We shall repair your doors and leave you to your fun. Will you both be joining us for dinner?" "Yes, we will be down shortly." As the four left, their horns glowed and the doors reformed, looking just as good as they did before. "What? Did they think I would harm you?" "You'll have to forgive Tia my love. She and I are close. When I appeared here, she latched onto me like a lifeline and I helped her come to terms with Luna's banishment." "I could never harm you" I said looking into her eyes. "You mean too much to me now." I kissed her with a passion I thought had died long ago. When she broke the kiss, I could see in her eyes what I mean to her. "I couldn't harm you either. Eternity is ours to live and nopony can take that from us." Conversation with a goddessWaking up was a joy for me now. My eyes being drawn to the otherworldly beauty sleeping contentedly next to me. It was still dark out so I knew that Celestia hadn't raised the sun yet. I thought about that sentence for a minute. I was now in a world where two beings had the power to raise and lower celestial bodies. Oh well, I'll get over it. Easing out of Ari's grasp, I stood and stretched before turning to make sure I didn't wake her. Seeing a small frown crease her muzzle, I ran my fingers through her mane hoping she would settle again and with a sigh she did. "Always did like that didn't you" I muttered with a smile on my face before I walked to the balcony. In the week I've been here, I haven't had the opportunity to watch the Sun Goddess do her thing and I figured since I was up, it would be a good time. Looking out over a darkened Canterlot, the thought struck me. I haven't left the castle once since my arrival. I need to rectify that I figure. A door opening to my right interrupted my musings and out walked Celestia. She had her eyes closed smiling the entire time. A glow started to surround her horn then bowing the sun followed as she raised her head. Reaching where she wanted it the glow left her horn. She stood there her head held high soaking in the light. After a few minutes basking, Celestia opened her eyes and looked dead at me. Smiling again, she unfurled her wings and jumped into the air, flying the short distance between the balconies. Landing, I held a finger up to my lips and gestured towards mine and Ari's door. She nodded and lit her horn, casting a quick spell. "A silencing spell so we will not disturb her." I nodded in turn. "That'll work I guess. So what can I do for ya Princess?" "Nothing really, I just wanted to talk. I haven't had the opportunity to since your arrival." I grinned sheepishly while scratching my nose. "Yeah, Ari kinda monopolized my time since I got here hasn't she." Smiling Celestia giggled. "That she has, but who could blame her. Her life revolves around you. All she could talk about was the day you would return and be a part of her life once again. She has always been adamant that you would appear one day and her prayes were answered." "I just hope I don't disappoint her. There's a lot I have to live up to the way she describes me." I sighed and hunched my shoulders. I knew that someway I would disappoint Ari. Feeling a hoof on my arm, I looked at Celestia. "In Ari's eyes, you have nothing to live up to other than what she has always said about you. She always described her Vatore as a kind, caring being who always tried to help others, but life never returned that kindness." Celestia's smile I believe could bring the hardest criminal to their knees. "Just be yourself and I sincerely doubt you would ever disappoint her and even if you could, do you honestly think she would think less of you?" That got the old gears turning. Could she? Ever since I got here she has done everything to make sure I was comfortable. If Ari wasn't here I know I would have freaked out or done something to myself. "No, your right. If I fucked up, she would look at me and ask if I was okay then make sure I didn't do it again. Even when we was on Earth she was always somehow guiding me." "She has always been that way. Since Arianna arrived in Equestria, she has done so much to help anypony she could. What she did for me was more than I asked for." I watched tears gather in the corner of her eyes. "Ari made sure I was taken care of, she ruled when I couldn't and made sure that Luna was never seen in a bad light. That's why I call her my sister. And when Luna returned to us, she did the same for her as well. Her compassion is unfathomable as is her kindness and because of that, Luna considers her as a sister too." Smiling I nodded and thought for a moment. "She was always that way even as a filly. I had built a barn for her that was attached to my cabin, but she spent more time in the cabin than in her barn. Its like she didn't want me to be alone at all. I tried to keep her outside, but like any woman I my life, she just knew better." Celestia just giggled and looked at me with a knowing grin. "Are you going to fight her on certain things?" "What's the point" I asked grinning myself. "We both know she would win. All she's got to do is give me those puppy dog eyes and bat her eyelids. I would do anything to make her happy." I sorted and shook my head. "I'll do anything to make her happy anyways." Nobles"I'm doing WHAT?" "You are taking my place during court today. Tia feels that you need experience in dealing with how court works and dealing with the nobles." Ari's smile was weak. She knew I wasn't thrilled with the current situation. "What will you be doing?" The sheepish grin I got was a little alarming. "Luna has made the two of us appointments at the spa in Ponyville." I was surprised, but she could use some pampering. "What? Did you think I would be mad" I asked her. "Yes." When her ears folded to her head, I was confused. "Why would you think that ya goof? I can tell that you need a break, hell you all could use a break. I'm not holding that against you Ari. Why would I?" Running my hands down each side of her neck, I could feel her relaxing against me. "Go and enjoy yourselves, then tomorrow, Celestia can go and the two of us could cover for her." Her look of surprise was adorable. "You would do that for us?" "Why not? I'm going to have to do this sooner or later anyways, right?" "Well, yes. We will be married one day, but Tia has already declared that you are to be treated as if you're royalty." "Because I'm your destined mate correct?" "Yes." "I guess I have to get acclaimed to all of this. I can't keep hiding from everything." "Are you sure your not mad?" "I'm not silly. Now, go and have fun with Luna. Relax, make girl talk or whatever you mares talk about" I said swatting her ass when I walked by. The look I got from her could have melted a glaciers frozen heart. "I may have to repay you tonight" Ari all but purred. "Get out of here dizzy. I'm gonna hazard a guess that Celestia is in the throne room?" "She is and is waiting. Don't keep her waiting too long." "Yes, my love" I replied walking away. "I love you" I called out over my shoulder. "And I love you too." She called back. The wall to the throne room was enlightening to say the least. As I walked by, the various castle staff and guards would bow to me. To return the favour, I would smile and nod to them. I guess they have taken Celestia's words about me as law I mused to myself. Reaching the throne room doors, both guards bowed to me. "Ya know, that's already old to me so if y'all would, stop the bowing. I'm not comfortable with it." "Princess Celestia has said to treat you with the same respect that the Princesses get, but if that is your wish, the guard shall honor your words my Lord." The right hand guard answered which happened to be a pegasus. Another mare guard? What the hell. I know Ari told me that this was a mare dominated society, but I didn't think it was like this. "Don't take this the wrong way alright, but both of you are mares correct?" "Yes sir, we are." the left one answered. She was a unicorn. "Is the entire guard mares?" "Yes sir, it is. With the imbalance the way it is, stallions are not allowed in the guard. They have to be protected. Is it not the same way on your home world?" "Nope. Its pretty much fifty/fifty as far as the male to female ratio, so it's pretty even. Anyways, I guess I need to go and play with the noble class." I said the last part as snooty as I could and had the guards giggling in hysterics. "Yes sir, you should. The Princess is waiting for you." "Yeah, I need to go sell my soul to them then. Later." I added walking into the throne room. Both guards waved at me still giggling somewhat. As I headed down the aisle towards the throne, I noticed that I was getting a lot of attention. When I made it the thrones themselves, I just kept going till I plopped down into Ari's. When I looked at Celestia I asked one question. "So, when do we get to the part where I become a despotic ruler and the princesses become my playtoys" I asked in a nonchalant tone of voice. All noise and activities stopped immediately when I asked my question. Celestia just stared at me for a moment before she broke down laughing. I'm not kidding. Here we have one of the most graceful and regal ponies I know damn near rolling off her throne she was laughing so hard. "Was it something I said or do I need to set up a scheduled meeting to start my nefarious plans? Come on Celestia, I need some input here." I know I wasn't helping, but I figured what could it hurt. Watching Celestia laugh was funny in its own way. She started to hiccup after a minute then I heard the best part. I was treated to a snort from a princess. Yep, I'll say it again, she SNORTED. When she did that, her laughter stopped, she sat up and covered her mouth with a hoof while looking around. "Don't worry, I'm sure I was the only one who heard that" I whispered to her. "I won't tell anyone here....." I said smiling. "Thank you, Vatore. I needed that. It been awhile since I really had a good laugh." "I just hope the walking stiffs in here don't think I'm serious." "Don't worry about them." she said still snickering. Your protected by the Crowns, besides sister Ari has already told them the penalty for even looking at you wrong." I was taken aback by her words. "Sometimes that mare scares me." All Celestia could do was sit there and nod her head in agreement. As I was dragging my tired ass to the chambers that Ari and I shared, I was wondering how her day had went. After court was over, me and Celestia had dinner together since it would be late before Ari and Luna would return. It was enjoyable to spend some time with Tia as she asked me to call her from them on, but I was looking forward to my bed or I was till I opened the door to said chambers and beheld the vision on the bed. Lit candles was everywhere and laying on the bed in a very provocative pose was a black alicorn I had been missing all day. "Are you going to stand there all night or are you going to come over here and keep your mare warm" Ari purred in a very seductive voice. Needless to say, all the blood in my body went to the tingly parts down south and I slammed the door so hard it cracked. Embarrassing RevelationsAuthor's Note Just a short filler chapter till I get some real time to work. Embarrassing Revelations After being in Equestria for a month, I would think that I would have gotten use to waking up every morning with Ari wrapped around me, but I don't think I ever will and I don't think she'll stop either. I was always a early riser and Ari was never a morning person? Horse? Anyway, she never liked to wake up till she was ready and it still held true. So I spent the next ten minutes trying to extricate myself from my feathery prison. When I did, I stood up, stretched and did a victory jig to celebrate my escape, only to be snatched back into the wings and hooves of my beloved mare. "Where do you think your going? It's considered treasonous to leave your princess alone in the bed." I couldn't help but sigh, chuckle and shake my head all at the same time. "Just because your not a morning pony doesn't mean that I have to stay in the bed with you. I have some exploring to do and since it's your turn to over see court this morning, I didn't want to be bored. I decided to walk around Canterlot while you was busy." I felt her stiffen up momentarily before relaxing again. "If that is what you wish to do, I will not stop you my love, but just be careful. Please? I don't want to find out that another mare or mares has snatched up my intended." Rolling my eyes, I finally got Ari to loosen her grip enough for me to roll over and face her. Looking into those brown eyes, I could see the promise of eternal love and devotion. I was holding a female that would always love me no matter what and I would do the same for her. "You have no reason to fear anything. I have the one I need right here in my arms and I want no other" and to show her that. I grabbed a double handful of flank and pulled the mare on top of me, while trying to make her melt from the kiss I was giving her. After coming up for air, she started nuzzling my right cheek and giggling in happiness. "Such a bad stallion! Whatever shall I do with you? Your evil ways will end up corrupting this mare of virtue." "Virtue? Sorry darlin, but your virtue was gone a week ago." The offended face she made was the last straw. I fell off the bed from laughing so hard. Ari followed and the scowl on her muzzle was too much. "I fail to see what's so funny about this Vatore. Your taking what was a beautiful moment between us and laughing about it." The look of hurt on her face sobered me up a little, but I couldn't stop myself. "I'm sorry my Angel. It wasn't my intent to hurt you. It's just the way you said virtue. Let me ask you this. Did you cast any kind of sound deadening or cancelling spell that night?" Abject horror crossed her features. "NO" she squeaked. "I completely forgot about doing that!" "Well, the whole castle knows and I dare say the whole of Canterlot does too. I've been getting some looks of appraisal from other mares." Smiling, I stood up and kissed the furiously blushing mare. "You should see the looks of jealously you get from Celestia and Luna when your not looking." PonyvilleWell, today is the day. The day I travel out of the comfortable confines of the castle and into Equestria itself or I should say the promised visit to Ponyville. Ari had informed me of the trip the night before. Of course I panicked a little. "I'm not liking the idea sweetheart. I mean, I'm okay dealing with Twilight, but dealing with the whole town? I can barely deal with court or limited visits into Canterlot without freaking out." Sighing, I walked to the balcony and looked out over the city. "The last five years I have hidden myself from the world and I have not missed it. You being at my side helps yes, but I'm so fucked up in the head because of my family that I..." I trailed off on my thought, but when you have a beautiful alicorn mare shut you up with a kiss that shows how much you mean to her, it's easy to do. "I will be with you for eternity, Tor. Always at your side like I have been since the day I joined your life. Even though I was only gone a little while to you, the thousand years I experienced was torture. In the time for me in between, I realized that what I felt for you had grown from the concern of a friend to the love that I hoped you would return one day. I can say that I am complete now and I will do everything I can to help you become the man you once was." Stunned is the word I would use to describe what I was at that moment. Here I was, standing with a being that had just promised me to be at my side for all of time. Who wanted me, for me. Nothing more, nothing less. Placing my forehead against hers, I stared into her eyes and uttered one word. "Together?" "Till Luna's stars fall." Since I have a very strong aversion to flying, we took the train. It was a nice fourty five minute ride where all we did was cuddle while watching the scenery pass by. When we arrived at Ponyville, I was greeted by a quaint little village that reminded me of my hometown. Stepping out onto the platform, we was welcomed by Twilight, her five friends and I would say half the town. "Stay calm. I'm right here beside you" Ari whispered in my ear. Nodding, I walked up to the youngest Princess and greeted her. "Hello Twilight. It's good to see you again." "It's good to see you too Vatore" she replied back smiling. "Let me introduce you to my friends. We have Rarity, Fluttershy, Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie." As she named them, she pointed to the corresponding pony in turn. Each had friendly smiles, but the last one. A pink earth pony, she had a manic grin and was unbelievably, vibrating where she stood. I took a step back in concern wondering what was wrong with her. When Twilight noticed my backstep, she looked at the pony in question and spoke to her. "Pinkie? Remember what I said. I know your excited to meet somepony new, but Vatore doesn't need that kind of reaction from you. Not your normal reactions anyway" I heard Twilight grumble out. I watched as Pinkie visibly calmed down, but the manic grin stayed. Taking a calming breath myself I looked back to Twilight. "So, what's the game plan Twilight?" She looked at me with the head cocked puppy dog position until Ari translated. "Tor is asking what your planning Twilight." Comprehension dawned before she smiled. "Oh, sorry. Your vernacular threw me off Vatore. My plan was to I've you a small tour as we made our way to my castle followed by a small reception. If that's ok with you of course" she asked with a cheesy grin. "I think I can handle that" I replied to her. "Good! Shall we" She prompted waving a hoof. I will say this. Ponyville is a nice place. It's quiet, friendly and looks safe, but I know what it is actually like. I just hope the monster of the week shows up while I'm here. By the time we had arrived at the town square, a small following had joined us. Of course my nerves was starting to show and I was fidgiting. Twilight was about to say something to the crowd when I heard someone speak and it was a word I was not prepared for. "Daddy?" No! It couldn't be! It's been five years, but I know that voice. Turning, my eyes fell upon a dark blue earth pony filly with a blond mane and tail. But it was her eyes that sealed the deal. They was the same ice blue eyes I see when I look in the mirror. "Midnight? No! Why are you here? How are you here? Wasn't it enough that you, your brothers and mother ruined my life?" I was in a full blow panic. Standing in front of me in pony form was my baby girl. The one who had hurt me the most when she said I was a bad father. I've got to get away from her I thought before the lights went out. Arianna's pov I was in shock. Standing there was one of the people responsible for the hell my Vatore had been through. When he hit the ground, my reaction was instant. Gathering him up I looked at Twilight. "I'm taking him to the hospital. Send a letter to Celestia asking her to send Tor's doctor immediately." I looked at Midnight and frowned. "And take Midnight to your castle. I will deal with her when I've seen to my mate." I didn't wait for a response as I had cast a teleportation spell. When it finished, I looked around for a nurse or doctor and when I found one, I shouted for their attention. Running up to me the nurse took one look and started shouting for some help. "I've sent for his doctor already. She'll arrive soon." Nodding the nurse started to check him over. "We'll take it from here Princess. He'll be okay." Face to facePanic. That's what I was feeling along with anger. Panic because of Vatores condition and anger because of his daughter somehow being in Equestria. What is she doing here I wondered. Snorting, I stopped my train of thought. Tor comes first then I'll deal with Midnight. A bright flash was a first indication that somepony had just teleported to the hospital and after it died down I was graced with Luna's worried visage and Dr. Aides scowl. "What happened to him" the Dr. asked. "He started panicking and blacked out when his daughter somehow showed up here." Shock crossed Luna's muzzle. "Midnight is here? But how?" "I don't know sister, but she isn't human anymore. She's a pony now." "How is that possible" Aide asked. "I don't know that either. He was starting to come out of his shell somewhat and now, he's going to get worse" I cried out. "Her rejection of him was what hurt him the most." Luna stepped closer to nuzzle me trying to calm me down. "I know sister. We will help him work through this. You go and find out how the harlet got here. I shall stay and keep watch over your mate." Smiling I nuzzled Luna as a thank you and left to deal with Midnight. Arriving at Twilight's castle, I grabbed the first guard I could find and asked where she was. After being led to the guest room where Midnight was being held, I walked in and gave her one chance to explain herself. "Why and how did you get to Equestria? How long have you been here Midge?" Watching her flinch back was somewhat....amusing. Only her father called her by that nickname. "How do you know that name?" "Vatore told me of course. I've known him for the last five years...well I should say going on six now. Arianna could see her working the math in her head. When comprehension dawned on her muzzle, Ari smiled. "Yes, that's right. Your father has know me since you and your lecherous family broke him." "No wonder I couldn't find him. He's been here all this time." When I heard her mumble that to herself, I answered her. "No, he's only been in Equestria for six months or so. Why are you looking for him?" "I wanted to try and rebuild our relationship. Mom was the one that coached me to say those horrible things about daddy." I watched as her ears drooped as she looked to the floor. "I knew he loved me. He always said that I should do what I wanted, not what mom wanted. I was only twelve at the time. When I turned fifteen, I finally realized what had happened and felt so much pain for what I had done." Her tears seemed genuine enough to me so I laid one of my wings on her back and tried to comfort the young mare. "Your father was broken over what happened. So broken that he had minimum contact with anypony before he arrived in Equestria. He was just starting to come out of his shell so to speak before he came across you." I sighed and hoofed the floor for a moment. "You're going to have a hard road to have any kind of future with him and that starts with talking with him and explaining yourself." "I know that, but the way he reacted to me...I don't know if he will." Pausing she looked around for a minute before looking at me. "If he's only been here six months, where was he and how did you come into the picture?" "Well first off, we lived in Montana. Our nearest neighbors was twenty miles away and the nearest town was about fifty miles away. Next is, I'm actually not a born or ascended alicorn. I'm a Andalusian and Tor got me when I was six months old or so." Midge looked at me in shock. "That's not possible. I've only been here three months and I know that you're almost a thousand years old!" "That's true, but your father raised me for five years before we came here. Although we was taken at the same time, we was separated for some reason by time. For him, it was only a night, but for me. It was a thousand years and that brings me back to my earlier question. How did you get here Midnight?" "I...I don't know. I've traveled the whole of the U.S. looking for daddy and almost gave up. I went to sleep one night wishing I could find him and the next morning I woke up in the hospital here in this form. I just want him back in my life." I mulled over her words for a minute or two before I spoke. "Before we proceed there is one situation you must know of. Your father is my mate, my One so to speak. The being I will spend eternity with. If you didn't notice that he looked younger it's because of this bond. If you have a problem with me being essentially your step-Mother speak now." After a moment's thought Midge voiced her opinion. "I don't have a problem with it. He deserves to be happy after what has happened to him." Looking up at me, she smiled for the first time. "Is there anything else I should know?" I smiled myself before remembering one item. "Yes, there is. Celestia and Luna see me as a sister and by extension see your father as a brother, so they are very protective of him, as a matter of fact, Luna is with him right now" and wouldn't you know it, a scroll popped into being right in front of me. Skimming over it quickly, a sence of relief came over me. "Come. Your father has awakened, so this is a good time to start and rebuild your relationship with him." A long time coming.Author's Note Sorry for the wait. I've been working on this for a month. I'm kinda stuck on a major point in Shattered and I have a new story in the works that won't leave me alone. A.T.G should have a new chapter in a week or so, if I can work out the last part of it and T.I.M should be updated as well. A long time coming. I came back to the land of consciousness with a gasp. Looking around, my mind took a moment to reboot before I realized I was in a hospital room. Closing my eyes, I fell back to the small bed before I felt another presence in the room with me. Turning my head towards where I felt it, I opened my eyes and was surprised to see Luna sitting there with a worried expression upon her muzzle. When she noticed me looking at her, she smiled and relief crossed her beautiful features. "It's good to see you awake, brother. I was worried that seeing your daughter had triggered a negative psychological event that would take you from us." "It was shocking to see my baby girl standing in front of me Luna. I had thought that I would never have to see any of them ever again." I closed my eyes for a second to gather my fractured thoughts. "Where's Ari? I figured she would be here, not that I'm complaining mind you." The Night Princess smiled briefly before answering me. "She is currently with Midge trying to find what reason she is here and how. I volunteered to stay with you while she is...questioning her." I knew what that meant. Ari was probably grilling her to see who else has showed up. Luna must have sensed my unease about it. "If any of the others are here in Equestria, we will either banish them or throw them into the dungeons so that you will never see them again. Celestia even agrees with what I said Tor" she stated while nuzzling me. "You are family and we will always protect our family." "Thank you, Luna" I said wrapping my arms around her. In the time I've been here, I've found Luna to be a very kind and gentle being except when it comes to who she considered family. If someone was to harm any of her said family, she would literally drop the moon on their heads. Pulling away from my hug, she made a piece of parchment and a pen I gave her appear. "Now that you are awake, I will let your mate know." She wrote a few sentences then sent the scroll on its way. "She should be here momentarily with or without your daughter." Pausing, Luna looked down to the floor for a brief moment before looking up. "What will you do Tor?" "I don't know. I honestly don't. I guess that depends on what she wants. Despite what she has done, I feel that most all of it was at the behest of her bitch of a mother. She was only twelve at the time and really didn't understand things. I remember walking out the court room hearing her ask Christy if she would still be able to see me. That's what hurts so much. To hear her say all of those things about how bad a father I was, then to hear her ask if she could still see me. That's why I always thought that she was coached on what to say." "Your ex-wife is a cold hearted manipulative whorse of a woman. No, I wouldn't say that. She is far, far worse than that." I felt Luna kiss me on my forehead and when I looked up, she smiled again and pulled me into another hug. "If she wants to be reconciled with her father, give her a chance, but if she doesn't? Well, I know just the spot on my moon to put her." I laughed while shaking my head. Since I've arrived here in Equestria, I've gained a family that truly cares for me. "Everypony deserves a second chance brother, especially your blood. I know this better than anypony." "I know Luna. There is one thing I learned long ago. When it comes to their children, parents will always forgive them." I fell silent after said that. I sat there reflecting on the situation and what I had said. For a few minutes neither of us spoke until the silence was shattered by someone's knocking on the door. Looking at Luna, she smiled and nodded her head to encourage me to go through this. Clearing my throat, I spoke up. "Come in." When the door opened, I was graced with in my mind a most beautiful sight. My mare stepped through with a bright smile on her muzzle after seeing me sitting up. I could see the relief in her eyes. Following her though was my biggest concern, my daughter. "How are you feeling, my love" Ari asked as she trotted up to my bed and nuzzling me once she got to me. "I'm ok I guess" I answered back stealing a kiss from my sweet mare for witch I got one of her cute giggles. Once our little reunion was done, I asked the big question. "Alright, what's the story with Midge?" When I looked at her, she just lowered her head and looked away before she spoke. "I know I have no right to ask this, but I want you in my life daddy. I didn't know what I was saying at the time. I was only repeating what momma wanted me to say. When I turned fifteen, I started to have questions about the whole thing." She closed her eyes and I watched tears run down her cheeks. "I can still see the look of heartbreak on your face in my nightmares and it hurts. I just want my daddy back." I couldn't help but look on with a heavy heart as my little girl cried. I first looked to Ari then Luna, both was nodding in agreement. In one motion, I bent over and scooped up my daughter into a hug. She yelped before realizing what I had done, but settled into the hug and started sobbing saying "I'm sorry" over and over. "It's going to take time for our hearts to mend over this little one, but as long as you want this, I want it too." Nodding, Midge held on to me as tightly as she could. "Are you ready to be a mother" I asked Ari looking at her. Then I turned to Luna. "You and Tia call me brother. If that's the case, then you both have a new niece." Both mares looked at me in surprise before their eyes softened and they looked at the crying filly in my arms. "She's just as damaged as me and will need all the support she can get like I do." "She has a loving family now and a loving father" Ari answered while wrapping a wing around us. Chapter 13It's been about three months since my daughter and I reconciled and things have been good I'd say. We both see a physiologist to help with our underlying problems and Midge has come to love Ari as her mother. She told me the other day that she actually feels loved again. At the moment Midge was helping Ari with court while I'm running for my life from a certain alabaster mare. I'm still trying to figure out how she found out I took the last piece of chocolate cake though. "VATORE GET BACK HERE YOU CAKE THIEF!!" Uh oh! I better find a place to hide. Without thinking, I made for the throne room in the hope that Ari would get Tia to calm down. I hope anyways. Running up to the doors, I had to wait for the guards to open said doors and I knew Celestia was catching up to me. "VATORE! WHEN I FIND YOU. I WILL BANISH YOU TO MY SUN FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE!!" Looking at the guards, I got a smirk from the unicorn of the pair. "You got the last piece of cake didn't you?" "Yes. I didn't think she would get so worked up over it though." Both started giggling when I admitted it. "After a year, you still haven't learned yet? Don't mess with PC's cake. What kind was it anyway?" "Chocolate." Both gained a look of horror. "Your dead. That's her favorite and will not share it with anypony." "I guess it'll be a fight between us since that's the only kind of cake I like. Now, if you would excuse me, Ima gonna go and use my daughter and future bride as shields" I explained walking as fast as I could towards the thrones. Ignoring the stares and looks I was getting, I climbed the dias and plopped down onto Tia's throne. Ari was giving me that 'I know what you did' smirk. "What" I innocently asked. "You think that I'm going to allow you to waltz in here and use us a shields?" "Hmmmm, yes because you love me" I said smirking. "I'm not crazy enough to get between Tia and cake Tor and I'm not protecting you either." "I was kinda hoping you could calm her down" I asked sheepishly while looking towards the doors. "What's the worst she'll do to daddy, mom?" "Banish him to the sun." Ari answered nonchalantly. "Ouch" my daughter squeaked. "Sorry daddy, but I'm not getting in the middle of this" Midge said grinning. "Ingrates, this is the thanks I get for being a good father and mate?" "Nooo. This is what you get for taking the last piece of chocolate cake, my love" Ari said snickering. Of course right about that time the throne room doors was, well I should say ripped off of their hinges by a irate alicorn. "FOUND YOU!" I paled instantly and scrambled to get out through one of the back doors, but I found myself caught in the golden glow of Celestia's magic. When I was pulled in front of her, I could see flickers of fire dancing in her mane. I gave Tia my best smile of innocence and did a little finger wave. "H..hi Tia! Nice weather we're having....right?" She snorted and her rose tinted eyes went to blazing red while she narrowed them. "I feel the need to remind you that I'm human and don't possess magic like the rest of you." She smirked before looking at Ari then back to me. "The bond you share with sister Ari is strong enough to keep you alive" she said, her grin growing wider. Now, I wasn't just floating there waiting on my doom. I had been wiggling around seeing what my limits where and trying to come up with a escape plan. Right before she finished speaking, I came up with something so fucking stupid that it just had to work. So, before she could send me to the sun, I shot my hands towards her face, each hand on a cheek and pulled myself towards her and did the last thing anyone expected. I gave her the biggest, most slobbered out kiss I could manage and I'll be damned if it didn't work. Celestia instantly froze while her magical hold on me broke. I dropped landing on my feet and took off before she could come to her senses. Arianna's pov I knew he was going to pull something stupid and low and behold he did. He kissed Tia like a fifteen year old colt would in his first try....AND IT WORKED. How in the nine circles of Tartarus can he pull stunts like that and still be alive. I watched Tia freeze stiff and drop Tor. When he landed he took off like he had a timberwolf pack on him. Of course, he just had to stop at the throne room doors turn to me and throw a wink my way before running off. When I looked at Tia, the expression on her muzzle was perfect. Her eyes was wide open, a absolute look of astonishment on her muzzle, with her head tilted to the side a little. Upon seeing that, I did the only sensible thing I could. I fell off my throne laughing my flank off. Vatore's pov As I hoofed it, he he hoofed it, away from the throne room. I could hear Ari's laughter echoing through the halls. I'm glad she's enjoying it. Now I just have to worry about her being pissed at me for kissing Celestia I though to myself. I was trying to thi k of a good place to hide so I wouldn't suffer the wrath of two alicorns. I thought about asking Luna, but she was still asleep and there is no way in hell that I'm going to tempt fate on that. She's still mad at me for nabbing a couple of her moon pies a month ago. I had just looked behind me to make sure I was clear, when I heard a shriek in front of me and was thrown into the wall next to me. As I was trying to clear my head, the most pompous sounding mare I've ever heard started yelling. "WHAT MANNER OF DISGUSTING CREATURE TRIED TO RUN INTO ME. GUARDS, SEIZE IT!" When I was pulled to my feet, my eyes stopped rolling enough to see a white unicorn mare with a blond mane and tail staring daggers at me. Still somewhat groggy, I said the first thing that came to mind as I'm want to. "Who the fuck are you?" The mare went from looking at me like some kind of lower lifeform to absolutely sneering at me. "I am Princess Bluebelle. Niece to Princesses Celestia, Luna and Arianna and you just assaulted my royal self. For that you shall be punished and since you appear to be male, the punishment is to be gelded." "WHAT?!?!" Chapter 14Looking at this...mare that was claiming to be a princess kinda confused me, but me being me, I just had to open my mouth. "Never heard of ya. I've been here a year almost and it was never mentioned that a unicorn was a princess. I would have thought that Ari would have said something about that. Ah" I said, my face brightening up. "You must be one of those either adopted into the royal family kinda deals or you can claim it from a old royal line. Either way, it's just a title for you with no real power." I must have hit a nerve because the silly thing started sputtering like a motor boat. "Wha..Wh...H-HOW DARE YOU! I AM PRINCESS CELESTIA'S ADOPTED NIECE AND I DEMAND RESPECT FROM YOU. Y-YOU HAIRLESS APE. GUARDS, GELD THIS THING." "If you know what's good for you, you'll walk away right now. The Sisters wouldn't take kindly to any harm coming to me, especially Arianna." The so-called princess started to laugh. "Y...you think t...that they would care about what happens to a thing like you? Why would they care about a freak?" "That might be because he is my Ladies mate and the sisters consider him a brother Bluebelle." I turned to see the Captain of Ari's guard. Spartan Apple was her name and yes she is a member of the Apple clan. A light red earth pony with a sky blue mane and tail, she was a sweetheart when you got to know her, but tough as nails. "If you harm Tor, I can just about bet on three responses from the sisters. One is a nice trip to the Sun. Two is a nice trip to the Moon and I don't want to think about what my Ladies response would be. So in shor..." She never got to finish for one reason. Celestia had finally caught up and heard what was going on apparently, because I was free of the Guards. Tia was standing right behind my kneeling form with her wings wrapped around me and was staring down her niece. "I have this under control Captain. You may resume your duties." "As you wish Princess. See you later Vatore." I just nodded my head as I watched Spartan walk off. The next words I heard came from a angry alicorn. "What do you think you're doing? I have already banned you from the castle once for this kind of behavior and here I find you yet again, mistreating another resident." "This thing ran into me Auntie. He has to pay for that affront." "Bluebelle. Have you not read any of the letters I sent you?" "Yes, Auntie I have." "Did I not tell you about and describe Arianna's mate to you?" "Yes" she whimpered. "Good. Now, what in Tartarus was you thinking? Wait, don't answer that because I know the answer already. YOU WASN'T! Leave the castle grounds now. You are banned from coming here permanently unless you are summoned. Am I understood?" "Yes, Auntie." For some reason I was shivering and I know why. I was terrified of Celestia at that moment. I could feel the power that she had and it scared me. Here we had one of, if not the strongest, beings on the planet and she had her wings wrapped prospectively around me. "I hope I never piss you off bad enough to lash out at me" I muttered. I must not have been too quiet about it because I heard a gasp come from behind me. "Why in Tartarus would I ever do that Tor? " "I know how protective of family you are Tia and I don't see myself as part of your family yet." She started nuzzling the top of my head before kissing me once. "You stupid, stupid man. How many times will it take Luna and I to tell you that you're a brother to us and I very much doubt you could ever do anything to make us angry at you." "You seemed pretty miffed about the cake." "Well, I was" she began squeezing me a little. "But when Ari explained that it was the only kind you would eat, I calmed down." "And why is that?" "Because, now I have somepony to share it with. For some reason, nopony else likes chocolate cake. I have never understood why either." I had to laugh at the way she said it. "So we're good then?" "Yes, Tor. We're good." "Good. So, what was you gonna do today?" Chapter 15Ever since I arrived in Equestria there is one thing I've enjoyed more than anything, well, other than my time with Ari, the night. I was meandering around the castle gardens just simply enjoying the late fall weather and stargazing when I noticed Luna on her balcony gazing at her moon. The look of serenity on her muzzle was heartwarming and I was personally happy she was finding peace in this world now. "Hey, LuLu" I called up to her trying to get her attention. When she looked down and noticed me, I could see a smile cross her muzzle. "How are you this evening Tor?" "I'm good. Just enjoying your beautiful night as always." A warm smile and a graceful leap later, Luna was standing beside me with a wing wrapped around my left side by a very happy alicorn. She knew I appreciated her work and I would take every chance I could to tell her. "You know how to use that silver tongue very well don't you" she asked me with some amusement. "Lies and slander" I answered turning my nose up like a noble. "I only speak the truth and you know it. What you do every night is a work of art and is a extraordinary sight to behold." She turned away blushing fiercely. "Tis nothing but my special talent" she answered while still looking away. "A talent greatly appreciated by many including your family. If nothing else always remember that I will stand by your side if you ever need me to." I had gently grasped her chin to get her to look at me before I placed a kiss on her forehead like a loving brother would. "You claim me as a brother so I gladly claim you as a sister and will protect you in anyway possible." "Thank you." "Now, what are your plans for this evening?" "Nothing much. Since it is the weekend, I though I would just relax and maybe read some or perhaps go and watch a play." All reasonable things to do, but I got a idea and started to grin. Luna picked up on it very quickly. "What are you thinking Tor?" "How about a castle wide pranking spree. Nothing serious, just a bunch of small traps set up and then watch the hilarity ensue." "Like what" she asked suddenly interested. So I started to explain my ideas and I watched the smile on her muzzle get bigger and bigger. When I was done, Luna was giggling so hard she was having a hard time breathing. "I like it. Where should we start?" "The throne room naturally" I answered. The next morning, Luna and I had set ourselves up in a nice little hideout setup to watch the fun. I knew Celestia and Ari would be here that morning because my beloved was trying to plan my birthday party in secret, but I had got wind of it and I thought they would make good victims. We had been waiting maybe ten minutes when the throne room doors opened and our first marks came in. They were talking as they went up the dias to their respective thrones when Tia sat down first. 'FFFLLLOOOT!!' We watched Tia turn red while looking around in embarrassment. The two of us could barely contain ourselves watching her squirm. Even Ari was giggling. When Tia pulled out the whoopie cushion, Ari started laughing until she sat down. 'FFFLLLLAAAARRRRTTTT!' Now the shoe was on the other hoof and Tia was the one giggling at Ari. When she pulled out her own cushion, her eyes showed some surprise, but the best part was about to come. Luna had somehow enchanted both cushions so that when they was being held up in magic, a small door would open and a cream pie would fly out onto the offending magic users face. Since we had targeted them specifically, she made sure that it was whatever pie that particular 'victim' liked. Which was banana cream for Ari and lemon for Tia. After watching the pie to the muzzle part, I was so glad Luna had cast a silencing spell on our corner. Both of us was crying from laughing so hard, but the best part had yet to come. To us what's the point of a prank if the victim didn't know who did it. Ari was looking the cushion over when she found the tag on its back. "This cushion is property of Pranksters R US. Owned and operated by V&L Partners. Please return to owners at earliest convenience?......VATORE!!!" Chapter 16"Let's see here. Two thousand bits for new kitchen wares. Five hundred bits for the vase in Hall twenty-four D. Fifty thousand bits to replace the throne room doors. Another fifty thousand to refurbish Arianna's bed chambers and one hundred and fifty thousand bits to rebuild all five thrones." Twilight looked up at the four of us. "Two hundred and two thousand, five hundred bits in total damages. To borrow a word that Vatore likes. What the fuck was the four of you THINKING? The four of you just maxed out the insurance for the next century." "I'll admit to the vase, but I would still like to know who flooded our bedroom with cream cheese" I asked looking at Luna and Celestia. Both was looking anywhere but at the two of us. "I don't care about that Vatore. You four wrecked half of the castle in three days. I don't think the CMC could do that kind of damage in a year." At the moment Twilight was giving us a reaming for the damage we caused to the castle in our prank wars. When she turned around though I looked at Luna and mouthed whoopie while holding up four fingers. She started smirking and Tia was doing her best to hide her giggling behind a hoof. Ari just rolled her eyes. "You're only making it worse" she hissed at me. "So? She wanted to interject herself after the staff complained and now she shall reap the rewards" I said shrugging. "What are you two talking about?" "Nothing Twilight. It's just a issue that Ari and I have been trying to resolve." "Nothing serious is it?" "No, Twilight. It's a small matter with Midge" Ari answered with a smile. Poor girl didn't know she was being set up. "Okay then." Walking back to her cushion, she plopped down like she normally does and FFFFLLLLLAAAAARRRRRPPPPP! OH man! If looks could kill I'd be dead ten times over, but the best part was yet to come. Moving the cushion to the side, Twilight levitated the whoopies up and. SPLAT! SPLAT! SPLAT! SPLAT!! Four cream pies hit her. Have you ever seen a alicorn rage shift? I have and trust me. YOU DON'T WANT TO BE NEAR THEM! "Scatter!" I don't know who shouted it, but we all ran out of the room and did our best to stay out of Twilight's sights for the rest of the day. One week later "I'm not even going to bother asking about what the five of you was thinking, but....was it fun?" All of us looked at Cadence in shock. I figured we would get reamed, but the look of excitement in her eyes was surprising. "Like you wouldn't believe" Tia gushed. I was starting to wonder if Cadence was wanting to join. "But I fear we have had enough fun. I haven't seen a staff member or guard in four days." "That's why I'm here Auntie. They have been sending letters complaining about the condition of the castle." "It can't be that bad? Can it" I asked a little timidly. "My dear Uncle." We had to wait a minute as we watched Cadence squeal in joy and clap her forehooves. "I couldn't wait to say that." At my look of confusion she explained. "I've never had a uncle and being able to call you that is glorious to me." I had to laugh at her honest joy. "I get it Niece. How is my daughter doing?" "Oh, she's having a ball playing with little Flurry Heart. I'm glad she came for a visit, but we should get back to the problem at hoof. I can't believe I'm asking this, but... Who covered the West Tower in cream cheese?" We never figured out who did it. After everything settled down from 'The Great Debacle' as the papers called it, life returned to normal at the castle. The staff and guards assigned to the castle got a raise and signed nondisclosure agreements to never reveal what happened. The five of us swore to never speak of the amount it cost to repair and replace what got broken or destroyed. (I'm not taking the blame for that Van Colt that got hit by a shrinking spell and I will neither confirm nor deny that I was standing in front of said painting when it got hit. The painting was worth five million bits!!) A couple of months later. Ah winter, my favorite time of year. Nothing real exciting has happened in the last few months other than since my arrival back in the spring, I had been getting used to being in Equestria and now their biggest holiday was coming up. Hearths Warming is what I believe they call it. After I had asked Ari about it she explained it was basically their version of Christmas. One of the bigger celebrations was a ball that was hosted every year by the Princesses and I had a idea on how to make it better for one particular alicorn. After finding a particularly good jeweller(thank you Shining) I had the ring, now I just needed the right moment. I was wearing a suit that Ari commissioned Rarity to make for me and I'll admit, I look damn good. Since this is the first one I've ever worn, I'm kinda biased, but it was pleasingly comfortable. Black shoes, jacket and pants. The shirt and tie was a darker blue to as Rarity put it 'set off your eyes darling'. I was waiting on Ari to get finished and when she stepped out of her dressing room, my jaw hit the floor. She was wearing a simple dress in the same shade of blue as my shirt, but the way it accentuated her figure was..."WOW" was all I could say. She giggled before gracing me with a kiss. "Rarity said you would probably react this way." "How could I not? The only thing that could possibly match your beauty right now would be Luna's sky, but it would be a distant second place." Her blush spoke volumes. "Thank you my love" she squeaked out. "I'm the one who's thankful. I have you" I truthfully told her. "Now. Shall we?" "Lets." Upon our arrival, we was announced as we entered the ball room. Everyone bowed to us briefly before going back to enjoying themselves. Making the rounds, we would stop and chat with various nobles and others that would engage us. After doing that for two hours, the dance floor opened up. Deciding to take advantage of it, I held my arm out towards Ari. "Even though I have no clue as to what I'm doing, may I have this dance?" My mare smiled sweetly at me before answering. "Of course you may. Just follow my lead" she whispered in my ear. Once on the dance floor, she bowed to me and I returned it, then surprisingly she reared up and placed both forehooves on my shoulders. "Take my left foreleg with your right hand, then wrap your left arm as far around me as you can." As it was, Ari was about a head taller than me in this position, but I felt we could make it work. Once the orchestra began, so did we. It was awkward at first until we found a rhythm and I found myself enjoying it. Once the dance ended, Ari smiled at me then turned to walk off the floor, but my hand on her shoulder stopped her. Turning back to me I felt I had found my moment so I put my hand in the right pocket of my jacket and closed my hand around the ring. She gave me a look of confusion until I bent down onto my right knee and presented the ring to her. "Do I even need to ask?" I watched tears spring up into her eyes while a wide smile adorned her muzzle. "No and yes I will. Of course I will marry you." When I slide the engagement ring onto her horn and we shared our first kiss as a engaged couple, the whole ball room started cheering and stomping their hooves. After a moment of accepting congratulations, I turned back to my future bride and kisses her again. "I've been waiting for this moment for over a thousand years and now I can say I couldn't be happier." "Wait till the wedding. Then I'll ask you about that" I said smiling. Chapter 17Author's Note Thanks to all who have read and like this little story of mine. Chapter 17 Canterlot was abuzz with the news of another royal wedding. It had been five years since the last one and the memories of it still haunted Celestia. "I will not have another incident happen, not during my sisters wedding" she had stated vehemently. She went a little overboard with the defensive arrangements, but as Luna said "I have to agree with Sister." Ari thought that since Tia did the honors last time, she asked Luna to perform the ceremony and she was more than happy to oblige. We had a couple of months till the big moment yet, but they wanted some preparations done before hand. I just stepped back and let the mares handle everything. I had already been through one wedding and knew it was focused on the bride not the groom. While they was doing their thing, I decided to sit down and finally figure out what I would do with myself. It's funny how I've been here almost a year and I'm just now doing this I mused to myself. I was so deep in thought, I didn't notice when Midge climbed into my lap. "Hmm? Oh, hey short stack. What ya doin" I asked her while scratching an ear for her. She sighed and leaned into my hand more. "I miss being human, but moments like this more than make up for it" she said while pushing her head into my hand more. "So I'm just useful as a ear scratcher then" I asked with a fake pout. "No. When you do this, I know that you love me as your daughter no matter the form I find myself in." Not able to answer her, I just wrapped my arms around my little girl and hugged her. Midge responded by burying her head into my chest. "I still feel so bad for saying all of those things about you when I was younger." I could here a quiver in her voice and of course as a father, I didn't want to hear my daughter cry. "You was only doing as your mother coached you to do. It doesn't matter anymore. You realized what happened and wanted to find me and apologize. That's the most important thing you could ever do, besides, I could never stay mad at my baby girl" I said while I kissed her forehead. I got a giggle and a kiss on my cheek in return. "I got more than my daddy back though." "Oh" I asked curious. "What else did you get?" "A mother that I know without a doubt that loves me" she answered while looking towards three of Equestria's princesses "and a pair of awesome aunts." "And Equestria gained something as well" Celestia broke in as she trotted up with the others. Midge looked at her in confusion. "We gained another princess in you. One who has shown that even when led astray, you can always find redemption if your willing to work for it plus Luna and I gained a loving niece that we would do anything to protect her, but I do believe her father would take care of any problems before we could intervene." Celestia started nuzzling Midge and that brought a giggle and a tear or two. "Thank you. I haven't had a family in a long time and now I have one again." "Tis not a problem young Midnight. You have shown the resolve that your father has in wanting this and you have been rewarded for it" Luna told her while nuzzling Midge herself. I sat there with a smile on my face and a lightness in my soul I haven't felt in a long time. Chapter 18Something has gone wrong. Waking up where?Waking up has never been one of my favorite things. "For what you did for me, I will always be grateful Arianna."
What to do, what to doSomething has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
A Spark and a HeartI woke up the same way that I have for the last few days. "This isn't going to end well."
Meeting the other two PrincessesI was eyeball to eyeball with Twilight Sparkle and I was getting nervous. "Greed."
Burning my past.Author's Note I figured I better change the rating because of a little darker content in this chapter. "What's the first question?" "Why did one of your guards say 'your Highness' to me earlier?"
Nothing else mattersI watched as Ari fidgited for a minute or two. Eternity is ours to live and nopony can take that from us."
Conversation with a goddessWaking up was a joy for me now. "I'll do anything to make her happy anyways."
Nobles"I'm doing WHAT?" "You are taking my place during court today.
"You should see the looks of jealously you get from Celestia and Luna when your not looking."
PonyvilleWell, today is the day. He'll be okay."
Face to facePanic. "Come. Your father has awakened, so this is a good time to start and rebuild your relationship with him."
A long time coming.Author's Note Sorry for the wait.
For that you shall be punished and since you appear to be male, the punishment is to be gelded." "WHAT?!?!"
Chapter 14Looking at this...mare that was claiming to be a princess kinda confused me, but me being me, I just had to open my mouth. So, what was you gonna do today?"
Chapter 15Ever since I arrived in Equestria there is one thing I've enjoyed more than anything, well, other than my time with Ari, the night. Please return to owners at earliest convenience?......VATORE!!!"
Chapter 16"Let's see here.
