Also, not meant to actually fit into canon, for obvious reasons, kinda set near the boundary of the fourth wall, which will naturally be broken many times. Villain Competition The My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic villains assembled in the ruins of Celestia's old castle. Nightmare Moon, a black alicorn with an ethereal blue mane and tail, the evil alter-ego of Princess Luna Discord, the draconequus resembling a cross between all sorts of creatures, the mischievous Spirit of Disharmony. Queen Chrysalis, the insectoid queen of the changelings, with dark gray skin and a greasy teal mane. King Sombra, the gray demonic-looking unicorn, and usurper of the Crystal Empire. Sunset Shimmer, a teenage girl with yellow skin and red hair, who looked as though she did not want to be there. Lord Tirek, a powerful red and black centaur, who had escaped from Tartarus and tried to steal Equestria's magic. The Dazzlings, three sirens in human form who had tried to take over the human world. Adagio Dazzle, the leader with yellow skin and curly orange hair; Sonata Dusk, the goofy one with blue skin and hair; and her rival, Aria Blaze, with purple skin and hair. Starlight Glimmer, a unicorn with a similar coloring scheme to Aria, who had brainwashed an entire town and altered history, and also looked like she did not want to be here. Principal Cinch, the detestable and shady principal of the Crystal Prep. Midnight Sparkle, the embodiment of Sci-Twi's evil transformation, darker shades of purple, with dark wings, and, unlike the other human transformations, with a tail. Filthy Rich, who had tried to shut down Camp Everfree, and who was less likeable than his pony counterpart. And Gloriosa Daisy, transformed into a corrupted monster, who had tried to trap everyone at Camp Everfree to protect it from closing down. "Well, now it begins," said Discord. "The competition to see who's the best My Little Pony villain. "Well, these two aren't anywhere close to the same level of villain as the rest of us," said King Sombra, and with a blast of magic, he reduced Principal Cinch and Filthy Rich to a pile of ashes. "Gloriosa doesn't really count as a villain, coz she was corrupted," said Discord. "So am I," said Nightmare Moon. "In her case, not till the end of the episode," said Discord. "Besides, she was basically a repeat of Demon Sunset AND Midnight Sparkle. She's got no chance of winning." And, with a snap of his fingers, he restored Gloriosa to her original state, and she ran off. "I shouldn't be here either," said Starlight. "I know I was the villain twice, but so was Chrysalis. I'm a more powerful unicorn than Twilight, but so is Sombra. I got to be a main character after my redemption, but so does Sunset. And unlike Sunset, the fans hate me. I've got no chance of winning even if I wanted to." In a flash of light, she teleported away. Nightmare Moon, Chrysalis, and the Dazzlings breathed a sigh of relief. "I shouldn't be here either," said Sunset. "People hated me as a villain. I only became popular after my redemption. I did manipulate the Rainbooms into turning on each other, but Chrysalis did something similar. Plus, like Filthy Rich and Principal Cinch, I'm not THAT kind of villain." "You are at one point!" said Discord, and he transformed Sunset into Demon Sunset. "Ah, I'm MUCH more threatening in this form!" said Sunset. "And pure evil!" "Yes, but much less intelligent," said Tirek. "You were going to take over Equestria with an army of teenagers, who'd have just turned into regular ponies once they were through the portal. Celestia would have broken your control over them in five seconds." "Oh." In a flash of light, Sunset returned to her true self. "I'm not needed here then." She ran off. Chrysalis and Tirek shot magic blasts after her, but she transformed into a phoenix and flew into the sky. "Then I guess it's just Nightmare Moon, Discord, Chrysalis, Sombra, Tirek, the Dazzlings, and me," said Midnight Sparkle. "Wait, you're not much better than Gloriosa Daisy," said Nightmare Moon. "You're the third corrupted villain, first two being me and Sunset." "Yes, but I at least became my own separate entity, reappearing in Legend of Everfree and tormenting Twilight inside her mind! You and Demon Sunset were never separate entities from Luna and Sunset Shimmer!" "We're not even sure you were really there," said Sombra. "Just a manifestation of Twilight's fears." "I'm sure I really was there!" said Midnight. "Let her stay," said Adagio. "She's menacing enough to compete with us, but of course we're still better." "Now, I'll go first, because I'm the first villain of the show," said Nightmare Moon. "I'm the first threat to Equestria." "Actually, Sombra, Tirek, and I came before you coz you helped imprison us a thousand years ago," said Discord. "Well, they keep bringing me back every chance they get," said Nightmare Moon. "The flashbacks to when I first turned, where I fought Celestia in an epic Star Wars style battle. Then the alternate future where I was in power was featured as prominently as Sombra and Chrysalis's, even though they only appeared once and I appeared twice. And, of course, Starlight's nightmare." "My turn!" said Discord. "I'm the most fun to have around." "Actually, I'm as funny as Pinkie Pie!" said Sonata. "Not at all, in that case," said Chrysalis. "She's lost her touch." "We all know you hate fun," said Discord. "No, MY idea of fun is destruction! I am the first Knight of Cerebus in the show!" "Technically, I came first," said Nightmare Moon. "But you were a pretty weak villain, trying to scare them away then block them! The episode that first showed where you tried to kill your sister didn't come until two seasons after the episode where I brought about the single darkest moment of the show by making Twilight's friends, brother, and mentor turn on her, and then I tried to manipulate her into killing Princess Cadance!" "'Tried' being key word," said Sombra. "Plus, I survived what should have been a fatal fall to be the main villain again at the end of Season 6!" said Chrysalis. "I captured the Mane 6, AGAIN, and all the Princesses!" "Yet you overlooked Starlight," said Tirek. "I would never have done such a thing. I'd have stolen her magic!" He licked his lips at the thought, for she was one of the most powerful unicorns. "Even so, I didn't reform at the end of my second appearance like Discord and Starlight did!" said Chrysalis. "I'm one of the villains who's too evil to reform! I am currently the only major antagonist in the show to neither die, be imprisoned, or reform! Aside from Principal Cinch and Filthy Rich, who aren't the same kind of villain as the rest of us!" "Hey, we're still alive, evil, and running about!" said Aria. "No Immortal Inertia," said Sombra. "What's that?" said Sonata, looking curious. "If a human loses their magical source of immortality, they'll age to the point they'd be at otherwise. You became human when you crossed the portal, and your pendants kept you alive as humans for over a thousand years. So, when they were destroyed, perhaps after about a minute's delayed reaction so as to not appear too graphic, you'd have aged into dust." "They could have made an exception to that rule!" said Adagio. "Twilight seems to think we'd live on as teenage girls." "Your death, on the other hand, was definite," said Aria. "Comics aside, of course. You have to be pretty weak to be the only one of us to be killed off for real." "No," corrected Sombra. "It means I'm so evil and so powerful that it couldn't have ended any other way without being too dark for My Little Pony. Only the most evil villains can die in shows like this." "I unambiguously died too!" said Midnight Sparkle. "Twilight overpowered me from within and destroyed me, Mistress 9 style, but with similar effects to you! I also got a really creepy opening sequence where I gave Twilight that nightmare about ERASING her friends! It's like I actually killed them on-screen!" "Yours would have been harder to register since you shared the same body," said Sombra, "Plus I am also the most powerful, being the only unicorn in existence that can cast curses, and my magic is stronger than Twilight's." "You hardly have any lines at all!" said Nightmare Moon. "And hardly any screentime," said Tirek. "But, I am the most competent and intelligent villain," said Sombra. "I planned everything ahead and thought out almost every angle. Only a unicorn could even get to the Crystal Heart, and my traps would have defeated Twilight on more than one occasion were it not for the presence of Spike. Also, because Princess Amore is nowhere to be seen, it is implied that I killed her. And don't mention the comics, they depict me as much weaker than I am in the show." "And they're inconsistent as to whether I am a separate entity from Luna," said Nightmare Moon. "You were still defeated too easily," said Chrysalis. "You call that easy?" said Sombra. "Once Spike got the Crystal Heart, I would have impaled him and taken it back if Shining Armor hadn't thrown Princess Cadance." "Still, there wasn't really a big fight with you," said Tirek. "My battle remains the most epic in My Little Pony history. It's a big Dragonball Z style battle, where we shoot energy blasts at each other, she slams me to the ground, and I throw her into a mountain! There's mushroom clouds and everything! It may have been ambiguous as to whether I was damned or imprisoned alive, but they still showed me in HELL! Plus, I was the first ever My Little Pony villain. I was in the pilot episode of G1." "G1 and G4 are separate continuities," said Discord. "G1 Tirek is like a different character, like Heath Ledger, Jack Nicholson, and Cesar Romero's Jokers." "He died in his first appearance, after trying to kill Spike, and stayed dead," said Sombra. "And he was ten times more creepy and menacing than you." "I was still the reboot of the first G1 villain, and the first reboot OF a G1 villain!" said Tirek. "I'm also the biggest threat to Equestria." "I'd have done more damage if I'd been given the chance," said Sombra. "Remember the future where I came to power? I brainwashed the crystal ponies, and there's an all-out war! I even cut off one of Rainbow Dash's wings, which is unusually graphic for the show." "I caused Rarity to cut off her own tail," said Nightmare Moon. "Her PREHENSILE tail. In the SECOND EPISODE. That must have hurt." "At this point, it doesn't look like you're gonna win," said Discord, and he turned Nightmare Moon back into Princess Luna. She flew away. "Yes! I outlasted her!" said Midnight Sparkle. "Back to the point," said Sombra, "my future was like World War II. That's pretty edgy for My Little Pony. I am without a doubt the darkest and most evil villain in the show." "Wanna bet?" said Chrysalis and Tirek at once. "The only reason you wanted that power was to destroy trees!" said Sombra, glaring at Tirek. "He's got a point there," said Chrysalis. "That's what you did once you got the alicorn magic, AND in the alternate future, which it only showed a few seconds of! And, what I have that neither of you does: A villain song! My second verse is particularly chilling." "We got three villain songs," said Adagio. "Battle, Under Our Spell, and Welcome to the Show." "And ours are 50 times better than yours!" said Aria. "Well... maybe only twice as good," said Sonata, who liked Chrysalis's song. Aria kicked her in the shin. "Hey, her song has your name in it, Aria!" "I got a song too," said Discord. "After your redemption," said Chrysalis. "That doesn't count as a villain song." "Well, I still possess the unique powers of no other!" said Discord. "And I'm a lot more fun to have around than Sonata. She's just the evil, less-mentioned, less-powerful Pinkie Pie. I'm like Pinkie on steroids! They couldn't get rid of me either, so that's why they brought me back and reformed me! I'm just too fun to not keep around!" "Your latest episodes have been lame," said Aria. "Except Dungeons and Discords. You lost your touch just like Pinkie Pie. The jokes in What About Discord just weren't funny, and you were so boring in Discordant Harmony." "Fluttershy had to steal the show with her cuteness," said Sonata. "Which, of course, we despise," said Chrysalis. "But most of your episodes came after your redemption," said Tirek. "You only turned evil again for a brief moment in Twilight's Kingdom because I manipulated you! And, I tricked you and stole your magic!" "I'm still the most fun to have around," said Discord. "I'm the most evil and the only one to unambiguously die," said Sombra. "One of the only two!" said Midnight Sparkle. "I'm the most powerful and the most epic!" said Tirek. "We have the most songs!" said Adagio. "And the best," said Aria. "Well I'm the only one that neither dies nor reforms nor gets imprisoned!" said Chrysalis. "Shows you're not a big enough threat to die," said Sombra. "And they don't think you'd be any fun reformed," said Discord. "They didn't even want to imprison you in Tartarus, dead OR alive!" said Tirek. Chrysalis unleashed a powerful blast of magic, reducing Discord, Sombra, Tirek, the Dazzlings, and Midnight to ash. "I win," said Chrysalis. Discord pulled himself back together (quite literally). "You win the villain competition," said Discord. "I'm more fun reformed anyway!" He snapped his fingers, and Chrysalis exploded twice. An airship landed, and the Storm King came out. "Am I too late?" he said. "Too early," said Discord. "Your movie's not out yet. You seem both threatening and funny, though. Time will tell what kind of villain you'll be." //-------------------------------------------------------// Storms and Shadows //-------------------------------------------------------// Author's Note Warning: Contains spoilers for the movie AND Shadow Play. Do not read if you haven't seen both, or don't mind spoilers. Storms and Shadows "Well, we've seen what kind of villains you two are, so Round 2 of the Villain Competition begins!" The Storm King and the Pony of Shadows stood before Discord, who raised Queen Chrysalis as a ghost. "Ugh, finally, I couldn't stand that horrible show any longer," said Chrysalis. "I wish Tartarus had fire pits instead." "You're just here for Round 2 of the Villain Competition, and then I'm sending you back," said Discord. "You admitted defeat last time." "I know, I'm just here so you can defend your title against them!" "I go first!" said the Storm King. "I'm best villain coz I'm fun to have around, like Discord, but at the same time, menacing and sinister like Sombra and Tirek. A mix of them, and plus, I was a big enough threat I had to be killed at the end. Like, smashed to pieces, which is funny coz they use that as a euphemism for death in Wonderbolts Academy, and then it's how I actually die in the movie." "Not according to the credits," said Chrysalis. "It depicts your eyes still moving in your shattered state." "Those are just the credits screwing around for comedy, they're not meant to be taken seriously." "They censored it because the original draft had your eyes turned to stone." "Which they remained in my death scene anyway! They left my death as is, they only changed the credits coz they thought it would be too morbid to show a Storm Creature playing around with my corpse! Duh! Like, if it's all right for Applejack's parents to be dead AFTER we got an episode revolving around them, then destroying a pure evil villain in a PG-rated movie should be a snap!" "Hey, how do I know how the movie turned out anyway? I haven't seen it. All I've seen since I got sent to Tartarus is a show about ponies that are very different from the ones of Equestria." She shuddered. "That's coz I implanted it and Shadow Play in your head when I summoned you as a ghost," said Discord. "Can we get back to my arguments now?" said the Storm King. "What was I going to say? Oh, right. They needed a whole movie for my story, as opposed to just a regular old two-parter." "Yet you didn't get a lot of screentime," said Chrysalis. "You only had one scene before the final confrontation at the end. Tempest Shadow was a better villain than you, she'd have a higher chance of beating me." "Tempest? She's just a minion! A PAWN! And she reformed! Another generic reformed unicorn just like Trixie, Sunset, and Starlight! Oh yeah, and Stygian." "I'm only half Stygian," said the Pony of Shadows. "My other half is a symbiote like Venom." "Still, half of you reformed! Besides, I was so intense my movie had to be rated PG!" "Yeah, I'm pretty sure that was more Tempest than you," said Chrysalis. "What about my big storm that almost killed Twilight? That has to count for something!" "You still look too much like Tirek." "I'm not a centaur!" "You didn't even get a song, unlike me AND Tempest." "I believe it's my turn," said the Pony of Shadows. "I was deemed a big enough threat I had to be sealed in limbo. First through the sacrifice of Starswirl and the Pillars of Equestria, and then once again after I returned. Even if my pony half was reformed, my shadow half was sealed in limbo forever. Whereas SHE wasn't deemed a big enough threat and they let her walk." "A mistake they will regret come Season 8," said Chrysalis. "Either they will realize I'm a threat and finish me off, or else give me a magical permanent imprisonment, or I'll continue to fly away to be the longest running villain of the series, the one who is undefeatable! Which is more than can be said for the ones who can be killed or banished to limbo!" "Besides," said the Storm King, "if you think I was an underwhelming villain, you got less screentime than me! Less screentime than Sombra even!" "Don't compare me to that pathetic loser!" said the Pony of Shadows. "I had more lines than him!" "He had more of a presence and was more of an immediate threat than you! And so did I, of course! You hardly even did anything other than go all Harry vs. Voldemort with Twilight and Starlight, destroy Starswirl's barrier, and try to keep Stygian part of you!" "Maybe in Season 8 I'll release your shadow half from limbo and take it in to become powerful enough to exact my revenge on Starlight!" said Chrysalis. "And I can't be corrupted coz I'm already evil! You will be an instrument of my revenge!" "That's not what the animatic suggested," said the Pony of Shadows. "Well, I've said all my points," said the Storm King. "Anyone else argue with my superiority?" "That's all for me," said the Pony of Shadows. "I'm still the longer running villain than either of you," said Chrysalis. "Discord, who won?" said the Storm King. "I did, right?" "Well... you are kinda fun to have around," said Discord. "And powerful. But, I'd still say Chrysalis is the better villain." "And I'm a monkey's uncle!" The Storm King threw an obsidian orb at Chrysalis, who used her magic - even as a ghost - to send it back at him, turning him to stone. "All right, you won, now back to Tartarus with you," said Discord, and Chrysalis disappeared in a flash of purple light. "I can't believe I lost!" said the Pony of Shadows. "I need to take my rage out on something!" He blasted the stone Storm King, shattering him to pieces. Discord exorcised the shadow from Stygian and banished it to limbo, then teleported away in a flash of light.
