This is a prequel to The Tale of Team SASA.

Broken and alone, Sunset Shimmer wanders the snow covered city of Canterlot. After she is attacked by Canterlot High students,she lies alone in an ally, unable to move, waiting for the cold to take her. The last thing she sees before sight leaves her, are three shadows.

She awakens in the hospital and sees the last three people she would ever expect, the Sirens, her former enemies. They watch over her and take her into their home once she can leave the hospital. And as they help her heal, she begins to a kinship with them, one that she never truly felt with the Rainbooms. The orphan feels welcomed by them... She feels as if she has finally found where she belongs. She has finally found a family.
