Chapters Several months ago, Twilight learned one of the most powerful spells in Equestria. She learned a spell that can not only time travel, but travel to different dimensions as well. Twilight has been perfecting the spell for months straight prioritizing the spell as much as she can, she plans on using the spell for learning about a species she and one of her friends have been thinking about for a long time, humans. Ever since she heard the tall tale stories of humans, three years ago to be exact, she couldn't stop thinking about their culture, achievements, science, and history.
Twilight woke from her dreamless sleep in the silence and looked at the clock. 7:30AM? Oh no, I overslept! Twilight instantly got out of her bed and landed on the crystal floor with a loud clunk noise. She looked over to see Spike still sleeping snoring whilst doing so. He's gonna have to get a bigger bed soon Twilight thought getting distracted, she soon quickly got back on track and opened her bedroom door to the long hallway. Walking into the hallway she can clearly tell a difference in the temperature "I hate winter" Twilight quietly muttered to herself.
After a long walk through the windy, wibbly-wobbly hallways Twilight walked to her throne room. As she walks into the room she sees the familiar sight of a frame of a portal atop on the large table in the middle of the room. The portal's design is to only handle just one outrance to another universe, its obvious intention is to go to the human realm. Twilight walked up to the frame and caressed her hoof over the bottom left "I wonder how many adventures I'm going to have with this" Twilight pondered, levitating a notepad that held the information of where and when she wanted to 'visit' "The tall tale says that the best time to visit humans is the year 3100 BC, huh, I do wonder what BC means... Lyra will just tell me when she gets here" Twilight said aloud just as the doors open
A familiar mare with a mint green coat walks into the room "Good morning Lyra" Twilight bids, as Lyra gives her a good morning as well.
"What step of the plan are we doing today?" Lyra asks tilting her head
"I think we're finally ready to ignite the portal into action!" Twilight said, with excitement building up every word she announces while her hooves stomping on the crystal floor generating a clippity clop noise.
"Are you serious this time?" Lyra asks not taking the news seriously. Her eyelids half-lidded like when somepony says something plain out stupid.
"Why don't we just find out," Twilight said with a bigger than a slight smile
"What the hay, why not?" Lyra replied walking up next to Twilight. Twilight closes her eyes focusing on the spell. soon a long silence builds in the large room. Like when they practiced, Lyra starts her part of the spell thirty seconds later. The tip of Twilight's horn lights up as the light slowly pushes down her horn until the entire appendage is glowing. Lyra's part of the spell immediately begins after Twilight levitates in the air. Lyra's horn glows completely, shorter than at how long Twilight took, very likely just because Lyra's part is more simple than Twilight's.
They both levitate five feet above the ground, they no longer levitate higher, their eyes turn pure white. Just then, a strong magical beam shoots out of Twilight's and Lyra's horn making contact with the frame. The beams disappear as the spell dissipates. Twilight and Lyra stop hovering and hit the ground at the same time, both of their legs collapse under them as they try to battle the weak feeling they have. Looking up, Lyra sees that still no portal has appeared. Lyra walked up to the portal slowly.
"Agh! Dammit!" Lyra yelled in anger kicking it with her hind leg gaining a flinch from Twilight
"Lyra please, calm down," Twilight said quickly, walking over to Lyra "I know it's-"
"Yes! I know!-" Lyra interrupted before she got interrupted by the portal frame creating an ear-piercing noise. Instantly the both of them cover their ears with their hooves. This has little to no effect, Twilight spawned a protective shield around them that halted the sound entering the interior of the bubble shield. They slowly walk backward, the origin of the sound was discovered as they look at the portal frame, in the middle, a blue 2-D horizontal disc was expanding slowly. The disc expanded further and further until it hit the frame of the portal stopping it from expanding any further.
Twilight and Lyra look at the seemingly working portal, watching the spin of the blue like a blue soup going round and round forever. They look at it for what feels like an eternity, the only sound they hear is nothing. The bubble shield Twilight was casting imploded on itself and disappeared. "Heh... Ha..." Twilight's blank face turns into a face of pure joy looking at their accomplishment, a smile grows on Lyra's face "After all these months it has finally worked!" Twilight exclaimed walking up to the portal around five feet away from it. She could feel a gentle breeze being sucked into the portal to only Celestia knows.
"Don't get your hopes too high, we don't even know if this thing works the way its supposed to" Lyra assured Twilight walking up next to her. Still with a smile on her face "We finally got a hoof hold on this thing, we're so close to figuring this out" Lyra said being mesmerized by the looking and the feeling of the portal. What do you suppose we do now, Twilight?" Lyra asked backing away from the site and walked up to a table right side of the entry. Lyra took ahold of a notepad and jotted their findings out on the print.
"I guess we should throw something in it, attached to a rope, then pull it back, see what happens" Twilight made up with a hoof to her chin
"Seems reasonable" Lyra replied, finishing her writing. She places the notepad down on the table “Do you have any rope?” Lyra questioned
“Yeah, it should be-“ Twilight was interrupted by the door slamming open. It revealed Spike, wide-eyed with fright
"What in Equestria was that noise?" Spike asked quietly calming down to see that they were still alive. Just then, Spike spotted something in the portal frame, he gasped pointing towards it with his claw "You actually go that thing to work? Bout' time!' Spike cheered with joy
"Hey, Spike?" Twilight asked getting his attention "Can you get us some rope, please?"
With a quick salute, Spike walks to his intended location

Spike comes stumbling through the crystal door with the rope grasped in his claws "Here's that rope you needed Twi" Spike informed walking up to her, giving her the twenty feet rope in her magical aura.
"Thanks Spike" Twilight thanked rubbing his head with her hoof. Guiding the rope on her work station, Twilight had a few test items and subject. There was a cinderblock, a lantern, a crystal, an apple, and a little white mouse in a cage. Twilight leans down to the mouse, looking into its eyes "Oh, I hope you'll be okay" Twilight hoped wrapping the first item from the top with the rope. "Now that I've got the cinderblock in... all that I need to do now is kick it in, I guess" Twilight said whilst grasping the cinder block in her magic.
Walking toward the portal, Twilight looks back to make eye contact with Lyra "Got notes ready?" Twilight asked getting a nod to confirm her suspicions. "Alright, everypony backup" Spike backs up with Lyra to a safe distance around ten feet away. Twilight looks at the portal, without second thoughts, she throws the cinderblock with her magic in the portal holding the other end of the rope. The cinderblock makes contact with the blue disc making a slight frizzle noise, within under a second, he cinderblock in engulfed in the portal, traveling into the unknown.
The rope shows great stress being pulled harder and harder. Twilight let's the cinderblock stay on the other side for a minute, then another, then another. "You think we should pull it now, see if it survived the travel?" Lyra asked looking at the portal with the notepad in her magical grasp
"I do suppose its been long enough" Twilight replied grabbing the rope, pulling it backwards as hard as she could. It takes a few strong pulls but she manages to get most of the rope out of the portal. With one final pull the cinderblock flies out of the portal landing in front of Twilight. Jumping back to avoid the object, Twilight inspects it to make sure it's not damaged in any way, shape, or form. To her surprise, the cinderblock is in pitch perfect condition. "Lyra, write down no damage to test item one" Twilight ordered looking at Lyra. Lyra obliges, writing down the exact words Twilight used.
Untying the rope from the cinderblock, Twilight tied it around the lit lantern. Taking the same safety precautions, Twilight threw the lantern into the portal the exact same way she did with the cinderblock hearing the same frizzy sound she heard earlier with the cinder block. Waiting the same amount of time, Twilight pulled in the lantern, a little easier then the cinderblock. The lantern came out flying like the cinderblock landing in front of Twilight. Twilight inspects the lantern to see that, again, are no damages to the object, it's even still lit!
Untying the rope again, then tying it to the apple, as Twilight does this Lyra writes down their findings. "One more test after this to go" Twilight muttered, throwing the apple in the portal.Like last time, the same weird noise, waiting, then pulling it back. And the same result. Nothing had happened to the apple as a result, Lyra wrote down 'living matter such as food can be transported into the portal'
"It seems pretty stable to me..." Twilight trailed off "I guess it's time to test our living subject..." Twilight quietly announced looking over to the black, small cage. "But, we shall do that tomorrow I think we've done enough testing for today" Twilight said to everypony in the room. Turning around she walks to the door, opening it she leaves into the hallway followed by Lyra and Spike.
"When do you want to do the live subject?" Lyra asked Twilight as Spike splits away from them, going the other direction.
"8:30AM tomorrow, Let's hope that it survives not just for the rats life, but for the entire experiment itself" Twilight explained looking at a clock on the right side "5:30PM!?" Twilight yelled in shock
"How is that even possible!?" Lyra asked looking at the clock with the same amount of shock
"It could just be wrong or... it could have been the portal because it deals with time travel, there was a repeating sound when something entered the portal" Twilight at this second blew her own mind "When something enters the portal, the area outside becomes a sort of 'very fast-forwarded' reality"
"Huh, that's... kind of cool" Lyra responded trying to comprehend what sciency jibbery-jabber stuff Twilight spewed out her mouth
"It's astonishing!" Twilight exclaimed. A silence builds between them as they walk through the hall, the only noise being heard was the hoofsteps they were making while walking. After a few minutes of walking the silence was broken by Lyra
"So... what do we do now?" Lyra asked walking toward the main exit at the front of the castle
"I think we continue our day, then we meet up and do the last test tomorrow" Twilight told Lyra with a light smile whilst Lyra opened the door as a surge of cold air races into the hallway.
"I hate winter" Lyra muttered to herself looking at the snow falling onto the ground creating a thin blanket of snow "Anyway, see you later Twi!" Lyra waved goodbye seeing Twilight wave back to her as she walked outside and closed the door
Turning around, Twilight starts to trot over to the library when she all of a sudden hears her stomach growl at her. "Oh yeah, right.." Twilight changes course to the kitchen.
Walking into the kitchen, Twilight sees Spike reading one of his comics on the table
Spike stopped reading and looked up at Twilight "Is it good afternoon?" Spike asked unsure of himself putting a claw up to his chin
"Well it is in the afternoon, I'm pretty sure that's the right terminology" Twilight grinned as Spike put his claw up to his forehead
"That just... makes no sense" Spike replied dumbfounded at the whole ordeal
"Don't worry Spike, I'm also quite confused about the whole time skip" Twilight admitted, Spike lifted his head, making eye contact with Twilight
"There's another thing you don't quite understand!" Spike teased with a grin growing on his mouth
"I, uh, but... You're gonna keep at this arent you?" Twilight deadpanned at Spike, Spike's grin growing larger before he burst out laughing "What's so funny?" Twilight demanded an answer. The only answer she got in return was more laughs. Her face went slightly red with anger whilst her ears retreated to her skull
"Oh my, oh my goodness! Look at your face!" Spike laughed more pointing his claw at her red face.
"Enough!" Twilight yelled at Spike. Spike's laughing simmered down quickly into small giggle fits, until he finally stopped "Now can you please tell me what was so funny?"
"Alright, alright! It was just your face after I said you didn't understand something!" Spike quickly explained only getting a 'I don't trust you' face "I swear! I Pinkie promise!" Spike stammered quickly doing the promise
"Eh, Okay," Twilight simply replied, her face returning to normal. Walking ti her kitchen counters, she asks "Should we have breakfast, or supper?"
"Why don't we just go out to eat?" Spike suggested closing his comic and standing out of his chair
"That's actually a good idea, when was the last time we did that?" Twilight asked, getting a shrug in response. "Where do you suggest that we go?" Twilight asked exiting the kitchen with Spike
"I was thinking Hayburger" Spike suggested, gaining a shiver from Twilight
"Let's hope some children won't spy on me this time" Twilight told Spike gaining a chuckle from him. They both start their walk to their destination
Twilight and Spike return home, opening the crystal entrance. They both walk into the castle dragging light snow into the building. "Why did it have to snow?" Twilight asked no one in particular, looking at the snow falling down that had increasingly gotten heavier before Lyra had left. The sun had set about an hour ago, Twilight glanced at the clock "8:45, we were really gone for that long?" Twilight asked looking back at the past few hours.
"I guess so, I just can't get over that weird time skip thing" Spike replied Twilight instantly shot back with another reply
"Hey, speaking about the portal, I'm gonna go check on it" Twilight informed as she started to walk toward the location the portal was present in
"Alright Twi see you when you need me again... I guess" Spike hollered over to Twilight walking the other direction of her. Twilight trotted through the labyrinth of her castle walking passed door after door. Thinking to herself about how her day has gone so far.
Walking up to the throne room Twilight could hear a light chatter of familiar voices. "I still wonder what this thing is" A raspy voice asks
"Well, whatever it is, I don't think Twilight would appreciate us being here with it on" A southern accent called out. Speeding up her walking, Twilight stops at the closed door and opens it. She sees all of her friends all in their thrones looking at the weird frame before them, pondering its existence.
"I see you've all found my surprise" Twilight said with a blush appearing on her cheeks as they all nod their heads. "So, want to tell me why your all here?" Twilight asked with a smile, looking at Lyra's and her masterpiece before teleporting in her own throne
Fluttershy was the first to speak up "Well, we all came around 7:00, to check up on you, you haven't been outside all day, so we did what any good friends would do, check up on you" Fluttershy explained using hoof gestures
"Well I appreciate that girls" Twilight responded as Rainbow gives Applejack a glare.
"So, uh, what's this thing?" Rainbow Dash asked from her throne pointing her hoof at the object on the table. It no longer had the slight breeze it had, it was very likely just getting used to the conditions in the room.
"Well that, Rainbow Dash, is a portal to another realm" Twilight swiftly explained, all the heads in the room instantly look at Twilight with surprise in their eyes
"A portal? To another realm?" Applejack repeated Twilight, Twilight gave a nod in response "Mind tellin` us where it leads?" Applejack asked tilting her head
"Have you ever heard of the species human?" Twilight asked getting dumbfounded faces in her field of vision, looks of the unknown plastered on their faces "Well,, humans are bipedal beings no snout,, no long ears, the only type of fur you can only see at first lance is atop their head, no tails, they wear clothes, and live in a world that controlled by physics, not magic" Twilight finished off, the faces of confusion turn into... bigger confusion
"Well they sound just marvelous, and this portal allows you to visit them?" Rarity asked interested in the subject
"How do you know about these creatures, Twilight?" Fluttershy asked, getting more and more into the conversation
In the old library in the Everfree Forest, I came across a book that had stories about humans, it was mainly about how they lived and what they did. It left so much out that I want answered like, science and history. So a couple of months ago, Lyra, who was an anthropologist, and I started a partnership to build an interdimensional time-traveling portal to observe or even interact with them" Finishing her lecture, the entire room seems intrigued by this information
"So you mean to say that we`re gonna go to another dimension and time travel at the same time? That sounds so cool" Rainbow remarked, thinking about the possibilities
"Yeah, but you see, the portal is still in the testing phase. We have sent inanimate objects and live material into the portal and successfully gotten it back with no damage, we just haven't tried a living living subject" Twilight explained
"What do you mean by 'living living?'" Fluttershy asked with concern
"I mean an animal has to be tested to see if the portal is safe to cross, we need to take that step so we know it is in fact safe" Twilight explained watching Fluttershy's ears droop "Look I know it's gonna be hard trying this out, but we need to" Fluttershy thought to herself for some time before darting on a decision
"I... I guess you can use a lab rat..." Fluttershy granted her access looking at the portal
"Thank you Fluttershy, it means a lot" Twilight thanked solemnly looking into her eyes with pure truth behind her own eyes
"When are you going to test it out darling?" Rarity asked, impatience growing inside of her soul
"Tomorrow at 7:30AM" Twilight said almost instantly. With most of their questions out of the way one by one, they all leave to retreat to their homes until it's just Fluttershy and Twilight in the crystal room.
"Please promise me the subject will come back... alive" Fluttershy pleaded quietly. Twilight saw her eyes slowly changing to saddness
"Fluttershy, I promise that nothing negative will happen to the little critter I test on" Twilight assured Flutter whilst she got out of her throne and next to Fluttershy putting a hoof on her shoulder.
"Thank you Twilight" Fluttershy thanked, hugging her as her sadness diminished quickly. Twilight hugged back in a tight warm hug, only what true friends wold do to each other. "See you tomorrow at 7:30" Fluttershy whispered into Twilight's ear. Getting up, Fluttershy heads to the door and leaves.
Twilight looks at the portal for a period of time "Soon..."
Hearing the annoying beeping noise, Twilight wakes up by her alarm clock at 7:00 AM, instantly she turns it off and jumps onto her hooves. Rubbing the tiredness from her eyes, she swiftly trots over to her door and exits the room, deciding to let Spike sleep in. Stepping into the hallway, she could feel the temperature was colder then yesterday. Cursing the winter, Twilight quickly trotted over to the throne room in three minutes, Twilight enters the room that was her desired destination. Glancing at the clock, it was 7:04 AM. "Lyra should be here any moment" Twilight thought to herself walking toward the white mouse on the table. Opening the black cage, Twilight picked up the mouse with her magic, and placed it on her front left hoof
"Today is your big day, please come back safe... for Fluttershy" Twilight said quietly looking at the mouse. The mouse just stood on its back legs looking at her with a blank face "I can't believe a mouse is gonna be the first interdimensional traveler, you're gonna be most popular mouse in Equestria once you come back" Twilight told the mouse, putting it back into its cage. The door open indicating that Lyra was here, but Twilight could also hear another set of hooves. Looking over Twilight saw, what she'd expected, Lyra, but she came with Fluttershy
"Hello girls!" Twilight cheered slightly, waving her hoof at them. "We do the test at 7:30 AM sharp, so please get ready" Twilight said with a smile walking to her throne
"What are we waiting on?" Lyra asked trotting over to the work station, preparing her notes
"We're waiting on whoever would like to join us in the next twenty-five minutes" Twilight explained, looking anxiously at the blue spiral in the portal frame
"I wonder who will join us" Pinkie surprisingly said, appearing out of nowhere. Pinkie sitting, atop of her throne, face down on the table.
"Good morning Pinkie" Twilight said focusing her vision on Pinkie "Glad you could join us today"
Before 7:30, one by one the rest of the mane six entered the room. First was Rarity, then Applejack, and Rainbow Dash. "I'm glad you all could join me" Twilight pleased, getting nods in response "What we're about to do today is gonna be one of the most revolutionary thing in Equestrian history" Twilight got out of her throne as she started walking towards the work station. Grabbing the rope on the right side of the table, she tied it around the cage eyeing the mouse
"Please be careful" Fluttershy whimpered as Twilight started to walk toward her throne, facing forward, seeing the portal directly.
"Now, when I throw the mouse in you're gonna hear a fritzzy noise, that means we're gonna be thrown a couple hours into the future, it's just a side effect of the portal" Everypony glanced from Twilight to the little creature in the cage. Twilight straightened her hooves, walked back with the rope, and threw the cage forward into the portal. With the mouse holding on the cage, Fluttershy looked away along with Rarity. The cage made contact with the blue surface, but strangely enough, a ripple effect happened to the blue surface this time. Hearing the fritzzy sound, Twilight pulled the rope so it wouldn't be fully swallowed by the portal.
Everypony looked in amazement. "Where did it go?" They all asked in their thoughts. Fluttershy, for every second couldn't stop thinking about the creature, what feels around three minutes, Twilight pulls the rope back aggressively, this time it was the hardest subject to pull back. Applejack got up from her throne to help Twilight pull back the creature. With some force, they pulled the creature out of the portal, the cage landing hard on the floor. Fluttershy darted over to the cage and opened it.
"You must be so scared!" Fluttershy swiftly said, holding the mouse in her hooves. The mouse was a little shaky and wide eyed in response.
"Fluttershy, that mouse right there is gonna be the most famous mouse in Equestria" Twilight informed with pride in her voice
Fluttershy calmed down then put the mouse back in the cage, the mouse had also calmed down in those few moments of peace. "Now that my job here is done making sure nothing has happened to this poor mouse, I will happily release it back into my cottage" Fluttershy announced getting on her hooves as she put the cage on her back. Fluttershy walked over to the doors and looked back to face them "See you girls later" Fluttershy said her goodbyes opening the door, everypony in the room also gave their goodbyes to Fluttershy right before the door shut.
Twilight trotted happily to her throne, as a smile crept onto her face. "What's next, Twi?" Lyra asked walking next to Twilight after she sat down in her throne.
"Now that we know living creatures can pass through, we plan out what we're gonna be doing on the other side" Twilight replied gaining eyes from everypony
"Wait, we're all going to the other side?" Rainbow asked, excitement building up in her mind
"If you want to come with, I will allow you to come with, though I need to inform Princess Celestia before we go" Twilight hastily responded "But we need to plan where and when we will go, any idea Lyra?" Twilight asked looking towards Lyra
"Well, the few tall tales indicate and hint that the best year to start our exploration would be around... We don't want to go to the beginning of their civilization, just maybe in the Medieval ages"
"When would that be?" Twilight asked curiously
Lyra put a hoof up to her chin thinking back at her previous studies "The best idea we have is around the year 2047, yeah that sounds about right"
"Preparation for our first mission will begin at..." Twilight glances at the clock "Well, it's 9:40AM right now, let's meet up again at 3:00PM"
"Woah, your weren't lying when you said we'd be thrown a couple of hours into the future!" Pinkie suddenly yelled out in surprise
"But anyway', what're we gonna do til' then?" Applejack tossed out
"I don't know what you will be doing, but I will be informing the news to Princess Celestia" Twilight answered getting out of her throne "You guys should debate whether you want to go on the first mission or not, that decision is vital" Twilight informed warming up a spell to teleport to the train station.
"Will do" Applejack replied followed by the agreements of the rest of the ponies in the room.
"See you all when I get back! Twilight bided, teleporting out of sight
The trip to Canterlot was the same as usual, because Twilight was royalty, she had the free invitation to the V.I.P coach on the train. Of course, Twilight like usual accepted the gesture. When Twilight entered the coach, she found it was empty. "At least this ride will be more enjoyable, curse the snow for making it a tad cooler than wanted" Twilight thought choosing the closest seat
The train ride was about an hour long, nothing too interesting happened, just silence while looking at the passing scenery. Seeing the approaching, hanging town, Twilight could feel the train ever so slightly slowing down. Pulling up to the train station, the train halted completely. The coach door open, Twilight walks out to see a crowd wanting to get on the train. Instantly when the civilians spot her, they bow in respect. "Thank you everypony, now please, go on with your day" Twilight thanked, the crowd going on with their business. Charging up her horn, she teleported to the Canterlot castle. The guards allowing her to walk in at the sight of her. Because it was a Sunday, the royal sisters had a day off.
"Perfect" Twilight thought entering the royal dining room. Opening the carved wooden door, she was introduced with the sight of Celestia eating a huge chocolate cake. Celestia glanced at Twilight, instantly teleporting the cake elsewhere. Even more perfect!
"Good morning, Twilight Sparkle" Celestia said straightening her back "What brings you here today, so unexpectantly?"
Twilight developed a small blush "Sorry Celestia, it's just the project I've been working on"
"Ah, yes, how have you been doing on the project? You didn't cancel it did you?" Celestia asked, standing up
"What? No, no, no, no, I didn't cancel it. In fact, it's working!" Twilight exclaimed, gaining Celestia's full attention, her eyes widening
"You got it to work?" Celestia repeated, in response Twilight nodded "This is certainly big news" Celestia remarked, Twilight stretching out her chest in pride. "I'm guessing, you want to explore the other side, am I correct?" Celestia asked
"Correct" Twilight answered
"And you want to go there today I assume?" Celestia guessed once again
"Correct again" Twilight answered... yet again
"Hmm, I've been dawdling on whether you should go if you got this portal to work, I landed on the decision..." Celestia trailed off, eagerness growing inside of Twilight's soul "You should go" Celestia simply stated "Gather all the information you can when you're on the other side"
Twilight jumped up in joy "I won't let you down, Celestia"
"When do you plan going?" Celestia questioned summoning a scroll and an inked feather scribbling a few words down
Twilight looked at the clock, it was 10:40 "An hour I get back from the train ride home"
"Proceed to your mission, I don't want to hold you back any further" Celestia commanded. Twilight's eyes lit up as she turned around and opened the door "Wait," Celestia said, stopping Twilight from advancing "thank you for letting me know you were going. If you went unknowingly, ponies would've worried, and I probably would have thought something really horrible happened to you. I know this meeting was short, but it meant a lot" Celestia spewed out, releasing her mind
"Of course, princess. Wouldn't be a good princess if I didn't" Twilight replied with a smile
"Here, I'll make the trip a little shorter" Celestia said with a grin, taking Twilight in her golden aura
"Oh no need-" Twilight managed to say before being teleported to the front of her castle "- Celestia I got... oh, okay then..." Twilight opened the door and walked in "I wish I could do that, but alas, I'm still training to teleport long distances" Twilight said aloud advancing to the throne room.
About half way through her voyage, Twilight ran into Spike "Oh, hello Spike!" Twilight greeted
"Hello Twilight" Spike replied, a question popping into his mind "Hey, where were you? I was looking all over the castle for you"
"Oh, I was at Canterlot talking with Princess Celestia" Twilight replied
"Oh? May I ask why? It must be important if you have to tell Celestia" Spike asked, stepping a small step towards Twilight
"I told her that my project was done and we plan on going through the portal" Twilight shot out, Spike's face lighting up hearing those words
"Can I go with you?" Spike jumped up with excitement
"Absolutely not!" Twilight retorted, killing all the excitement in Spike's body
"W-why not?" Spike fired back standing still
Twilight sighed "Because, this is another, unknown, dangerous world, humans were known for their innovation and intelligence, but they were also known for their violence. I don't want you getting hurt or worse if you went with me, that's why Spike" Twilight stated, Spike understanding where she was going
"A-alright, Twi, whatever you think is best" Spike answered solemnly, looking down.
Twilight bopped his nose "Cheer up, you're gonna be here with Starlight after she gets back from her trip from the Diamond Dog Kingdom, I know how much you like her" Twilight said with a wink
A fierce blush spawned on Spike's face "W-what? I do not like her!" Spike retorted, crossing his arms
"Oh don't worry Spike, your secret is safe with me" Twilight said as she began to walk towards the throne room. "It was obvious~!" Twilight sang switching her walking to running as she ran through the hallway
"Whatever!" Spike hollered, cupping his mouth with his claws
Twilight walked into the throne room seeing that her friends were still in the room. They all looked at her simultaneously "Welcome back Twilight!" Pinkie hollered out jumping out of her throne.
"Hello girls" Twilight responded back trotting over to her own throne. "And before you ask, I went to Canterlot, the reason being is I talked with Celestia about the portal to let her know we were going through the portal today. She accepted understandfully, we are allowed to proceed with our mission" Twilight explained every detail, hearing an Oh from Pinkie "Did you guys decide on whether you wanted to go on the mission with me?" Twilight asked openly
"I will definitely come with you, Twi. I've been waiting my entire life for this moment" Lyra answered walking up next to Twilight's throne
"Sorry darling, I just can't, I have to open up a new store in Trottingham and keep an eye out on the stores that are already opened, I'm getting some bad reviews on some of them. Plus, this doesn't sound like my cup of tea" Rarity responded getting an understood from Twilight
"Heck, I'll come with yall, this should be fun" Applejack replied with a warm smile
"Going to another world? I'd sign up any day!" Rainbow Dash gleefully cheered putting her hoof up into the air
"I hate to be a party-pooper, but I can't go with you! I have too many parties planned out to go with you guys. Maybe next time?" Pinkie said with a frown
"That's alright Pinkie, all of us have got responsibilities" Twilight reassured Pinkie, a smile reappearing on Pinkie's face. "Now that we've settled who's going and who's not, we start to prepare what we're taking with us over to the other side" Twilight stated slamming her hoof on the table
"Like what?" Applejack curiously asked
"Scrolls, cameras, feathers, ink, saddlebags, notepads, and food. I want whoever is going through the portal to help me get those few items, and if you, Rarity or Pinkie would like to help, you can" All of them nodded in agreement "Applejack can get the food for our trip" Twilight stated as Applejack darted off to do her quest "Rarity, will you please go get us some scrolls and ink, please?" Twilight asked, Rarity saluted and walked out the door "Pinkie, can you please get me some feathers and notepads?"
"Here you go!" Pinkie exclaimed, sliding several feathers and notepads across the table, halting right before they slid of the table
"Thank you. Rainbow Dash, can you get two or more cameras with a lot of film? And a few saddlebags?" Rainbow Dash was gone in a flash "And finally, Lyra, you stay here, we need to do the exact coordinates"
"Yes ma'am" Lyra hollered while Twilight got out of her throne "What's the first step?" Lyra asked taking a few steps back from the table
"First of all, everypony by the table, stand back, that means you Pinkie" Twilight ordered as Pinkie practically teleported away from the test zone "Now, I will cast a spell of travel on the portal, then you, Lyra will join in and think about the year, place, and time" Twilight explained, Lyra walking up right next to Twilight. Twilight closed her eyes, focusing on the spell matrix. Unlocking the matrix, Twilight slightly levitated in the air, a dark, purple beam shot from the top of her horn impacting the frame of the portal. The magical beam shot back at Lyra, making her levitate in the air a few inches. Focusing, Lyra thought of the year, the forest they were going to enter, and thought of the season. Summer. Shooting her own minty green beam at the portal frame, the frame absorbed the beam, canceling the spell matrix.
"Now that, that's done... we wait for the others to come back" Twilight, somewhat, tiredly stated
One by one, the sent out retrievers brought their requested items. Laying them on the work station, they all surrounded it. "So, we got the supplies, what next?" Rainbow asked looking over to Twilight
"We gear up, everypony take one of each" Twilight ordered, instantly the ponies who were going to the other side grabbed a saddlebag, camera, and other miscellaneous items.
"How do you plan on getting back?" Rarity asked
"I made a hoofheld device that's wired to the portal interdimensionally" Twilight said pulling a small gray, box out one of the little pockets in the right side of her saddlebag. It had a big red button, incased in a plastic hatch so it wouldn't accidently be pressed. "When I press this button, a replica of the blue part of the portal, just like the portal in this room, will appear a few feet in front of us" Twilight stated putting the device back into her saddlebag
"You girls have fun!" Pinkie cheered, bouncing towards the door
"Wait, Pinkie" Twilight called out, stopping Pinkie in her tracks
"Yes, Twilight?" Pinkie asked
"Can you hang this scroll outside the door? It's a don't enter this room until this scroll is down scroll" Twilight explained giving the scroll to Pinkie in her magic
Pinkie took the scroll and put it in her mane "Will do!"
"See you two later" Twilight waved seeing them exit the room, hearing the click indicating the door has shut, Twilight looked back at the group "I will be the first to go, then Rainbow Dash, Applejack, then Lyra. When you get to who knows where, be precautions at all times. And remember, their world is run by physics, that means most if not all magic will be canceled out. That means flying, super strength, and magic. We don't need to worry about the hoofheld device because that's wired through the multiverse" Twilight spewed out all the possible information making Rainbow land on her hooves.
Walking to the on-ramp before the portal, Twilight looks back at her friends "Let's hope that we will discover a lot in this mission" Twilight hoped looking back at the portal stepping a hoof forward, then another, and another. She could feel the breeze pull at her as she stepped closer and closer. She was met face to face with the blue, spiraling portal. With her heart pounding, she took another hoof forward, her muzzle was now engulfed in the portal. It was pulling at her skin, begging that she step all the way in.
With one final step, she was engulfed in the portal, seeing nothing but blue, and feeling like she was falling

Twilight saw an infinite blueness stretching as far as the eye could see. Twilight felt weightless, but felt as if she were falling at the same time. But most importantly, she felt an infinite peace. "Is it working?" Twilight asked unsure of herself. Looking around she only saw light blue, then looked around more, and yet still found light blue. It wasn't until about thirty seconds later when she saw a small hole. Every second it got bigger and bigger. The inside of the hole was now visible, it showed tall trees and small bushes with some grass "Guess we're going to a forest" Twilight thought before falling into the hole.
Being ejected from a blue spiral in the middle of a forest, Twilight hit the ground, rolling and turning, until she was halted by a tree. "Damn, that hurt!" Twilight cursed, standing up and rubbing her left forehoof. Looking up, she saw the same portal, just without the frame. "Good thing it's Summer where we are, too bad it's night though" Looking to her back, seeing her saddlebag, she noticed that her notepads have spilled out all around her "Not off to a great start" Twilight murmured hearing a fritzzy sound from the portal "Oh shi-" Twilight was caught off when she saw Rainbow Dash hurdling toward her at lightning speed.
Rainbow Dash collided with Twilight, launching her backwards hitting a tree. "Ow! Fuck!" Twilight yelled in pain, pushing Rainbow off "What the hell was that for?: Twilight asked getting up, noticing more of her supplies missing from her saddlebag.
"How was I supposed to know I would be coming out like that?" Rainbow retorted, getting a glare from Twilight
"I suppose you're right-" Twilight was cut off by another frittzy noise from the portal "Hell no!" Twilight yelled jumping out of the way, as Rainbow took one big step to her right. Applejack shot out of the portal doing almost the exact same thing Twilight did, but stopped before she hit the tree "You might want to move out of the way" Twilight suggested
"Huh?" Applejack managed to get out, taking her advice as she slowly moved out of the way just in time before hearing another frittzy sound ejecting Lyra out from the portal. Seeing her tumble and stumble, Applejack sighed a sigh of relief
"Ouch" Lyra said after her voyage, the blue spiral quickly closing, until it didn't exist anymore
"Off to a wonderful start!" Twilight mocked as she started to pick up her notepads and other miscellaneous objects with the help of her friends. "Thank you girls" Twilight said, putting the rest of the items in her saddlebag.
"I thought this place would be more exciting than this" Rainbow said looking above, following the high, red wood trees. Rainbow Dash jumped and flapped her wings, but to no avail, she didn't get off the ground "What the hell?" Rainbow yelled
"Remember what I said, Dash? Next to no magic?" Twilight explained, Rainbow rolled her eyes in response
"Why would you want to go to a universe with no magic?" Rainbow retorted
"Why would you come if you knew it had no magic?" Twilight fired back silencing Rainbow Dash as she looked toward the ground. Sighing, Twilight rubbed her muzzle "Look we didn't get off to a good start, but we can make it better" Twilight announced looking at each and everypony there "What we're gonna do is walk in a direction, hopefully find a river then follow that stream, because medieval civilizations were built alongside rivers" Twilight stated patting Rainbow on the back, cheering her up
"And yes, it will be a bit hard doing this mission because we can't fly, and our magic is next to nothing, but we will push to our limits and try our best. I promised Celestia a promise, and I will keep that promise!" Twilight finished her little speech by putting a hoof up into the air
"Laaame!" Rainbow jokingly said with a hoof over her mouth chuckling after her response, the other girls joined her in chuckling a little.
"Let's proceed" Twilight said leading the way being followed by the rest of the group. Walking the same way they were launched out of the portal, they walked for a couple of minutes, that became an hour. During the walk, they had small chat about what they might find, some adult jokes, and complaining.
"Do you hear that?" Lyra asked, as they all halted advancing. Hearing a trickle and a flow of water Lyra started walking again, quicker this time "We've found a river!" Lyra hollered as they all galloped toward the wide river
"Yeehaw! Well, I'll be damned, we did find a river" Applejack replied standing on her two back legs in victory and joy
"Now we follow the flow" Twilight replied as she started to advance to the left, being as that was the way the river was flowing.
"Hey we can time travel in this universe, right?" Lyra asked Twilight, following her
"Of course" Twilight replied shortly
"So that means we can time travel in our universe, correct?" Lyra asked, trying to put two and two together
"Nope" Twilight answered as she looked back to meet the confused gaze of Lyra
"Well, how does that make any kind of sense?" Lyra asked confused, putting her hoof up half way
"I designed the time travel matrix to only be compatible with this universe, that means we can only time travel in this universe any time we want." Twilight looked forward to make sure she wouldn't run into anything "That, and I couldn't figure out a compatible matrix to use on our universe, guess the princesses don't want us to time travel in our universe" Twilight explained, a warm smile spread on her muzzle
"Well, that kind of sucks" Rainbow replied "Hey, I got a question, since we can time travel any time we want in this universe, what if we time travel to the year negative a billion?" Rainbow asked getting a scoff from Twilight
"Yeah right, like the universe is that old" Twilight replied, chuckling "That's impossible"
"Hey! Don't insult me for my suggestion!" Rainbow replied somewhat offended by Twilight as they started going up a steep hill
"Alright, cool your jets Rainbow, I'm just saying that it's impossible for the universe to be that old" Twilight looked back and bopped Rainbow's nose
"You do that one more time-" Rainbow said angrily before being cut off
"Or you'll what?" Twilight replied with a somewhat dickish grin
"Oh I'll-" Rainbow Dash said but stopped her speech being that Twilight stopped all of sudden. A blank face was on her blank face. Climbing to the top of the hill, Rainbow saw what was so mesmerizing as the other two completed the hill.
What they were looking at was not a village, nor a town, nor a city, but was a megalopolis about half a mile away. It had dozens of soaring skyscrapers in the middle of the city, hundreds of feet into the sky, each one of them were lit up with artificial light. Passed the city was an ocean as far as you could see. To the left, you could see tall, white structures that looked like windmills, but much more advanced. There were hundreds of them, not only that but there were some in the ocean as well. To the right, you could see the city stretch on and on.
"Thought you guys said we was in the medieval ages" Applejack broke the silence, still looking at the city 'Not the futuristic age"
"I thought it was the year 2047 when they were in the medieval ages, boy was I wrong" Lyra responded, not taking her eyes off the city
"T-this is astonishing!" Twilight yelped, jumping into the air "How did they manage to do this without magic?" Twilight asked nopony in particular, grabbing a feather, ink, and a notepad with the weak magical power she had to write down her findings. Twilight looked up and down several times, trying not to miss a detail in her description. Somethings she just wrote down like Advanced windmill: Use: Unknown
"What's that darn trail right there?" Applejack asked pointing at it with a hoof. It was a long, wide, black trail that left the city heading towards the left.
"I have no idea" Rainbow replied, sitting down
"...How do we proceed?" Lyra asked the leader
"Um... Hmm... Let's see... Uh...." Twilight stammered trying to think of another step to their shattered plan "I've honestly no clue" Twilight admitted "And we are not going back" Twilight stated
By now, they're all sat down, observing the city. Twilight heard her stomach rumble "Hmm, never noticed" Twilight talked to herself pulling her saddle bag from the left side in front of her. Opening the right side of the saddlebag, it revealed the food that was packed. There was cooked hay, daisies, tulips, tomatoes, and an abundance of apples. Picking up the daises in her magic, she began to eat them slowly "Should've eaten before we got here" Twilight told everypony
SNAP
Everypony turned around instantly when they heard the twig snap. Looking down the hill, they saw a tall, bipedal being. It's skin was a peach-ish color, it had small eyes, no muzzle, and the only visible fur it had was atop its head, above the eyes, the upper lip, and the entire chin. It's fur was a dark brown, and for what it was wearing. It was wearing a teal trench coat, black pants, black boots and its mane was a quiff hairstyle
It took a few long seconds before it did something. It put its forearm up to its mouth and whispered "Are you sure this is the time anomaly? Yeah, but... It is? But how? These things don't even-"
"Hey!" Rainbow yelled suddenly, getting its full attention. Twilight put her saddlebag back on her back, she noticed the accent of the creature was a little like an Equis accent
The thing looked at Rainbow "Dear God, they can talk" It said a little louder in disbelief
"Just who are you?" Rainbow asked, stepping one step forward, the human put its arm down to his side
"Who am I? Just who are you? Who and what are you doing here?" It said a little louder. Hearing the deep voice it was obvious it was a male.
"Oh my goodness" Lyra said, looking at the figure before them
"Alright let's just calm down" Twilight stammered putting her hoof up toward the human
"Yeah, let's do that. After you explain to me what you are and why you're here" The human retorted, clearly not trusting them
"Well, we're here because we're trying to study your species" Lyra explained gaining a glare from the human
"And how exactly did you get here?" He asked, calming down just a tad
"Wait, wait, wait, wait, that's not how it's gonna swing here, a question for a question" Rainbow stated, crossing her forearms
"Oh, geez, we're gonna be here all night if we do that" He said, Rainbow glaring at him aggressively "Okay, okay, if you insist, ask away" It bowed jokingly
"Good to see they have a sense of humor" Twilight thought getting a notepad out of her saddlebag with her magic.
"Hey, now what the hell did you just do right there?" The human asked, pointing one of its fingers toward Twilight. Applejack coughed into her hoof, reminding the human said "Right, go ahead"
"First of all, how did you find us?" Twilight asked, getting ready to write as fast as she could
"Right, I suppose I should answer that. So I am a rogue time traveler. I was working with the Time Preservation Administration before I became rogue. Their purpose was to protect the history of the human race, but they became corrupt. A couple of years ago, their organization collapsed and they were scattered all throughout time, from the beginning of the human race itself, to the far, far future." The human explained taking a step further, making hand gestures throughout the short story
"Interesting..." Twilight mumbled, writing word for word on the notepad" "You travel through time?" Twilight asked, getting a nod from him "Right, what time era are you from?" Twilight asked, looking up at him with hungry eyes for knowledge
"I come from the thirty-second century" Saying this, they all looked at him with shock
"So what are you doing here?" Rainbow asked pointing at him
"Ah, ah ,ah, remember, question for a question? I just answered two, so it should be my turn" He mocked putting a sly grin on his face. Rainbow's face went red with anger, she got played by her own game,
"Very well" Rainbow thought "Proceed" Rainbow said aloud, her anger subsiding
"How did you move those objects without even touching them? You don't seem to have the technology for antigravity, let alone, you don't even have a pen that this time era uses" The man said in disbelief
"Magic" Twilight responded simply.
"Preposterous! Impossible! No way! And plain out, what this generation likes to say, plain out bullshit!" The angry human protested against Twilight's statement
"No, it's magic" Twilight reassured lifting the notepad in her magical aura
The human walked up to them in shock "In all my thirty year life, and all my time traveling, I've never seen anything like this" He remarked, walking up to the notepad, grabbing it out of her magical field, breaking it "Where did it go?" He asked, frozen looking at the notepad in his hand
"Our magic is really weak in this dimension, so anything stronger than the magic itself will break it" Twilight explained, taking the notepad from his hand with her hoof
"Magic... weak... dimension..." The human repeated looking at the palm of his hand, being lost in his own thoughts while being oblivious to everything else "Dimension?" He said, louder this time, being broke out of his thoughts and into reality.
"Yes, we came from another dimension, to this time era" Twilight explained dotting more information on the notepad
"May I ask why you would come to this universe and to this time era?" He asked, taking a step or two back away from them.
"Why, we came to this universe because I wanted to study your species, as in science, accomplishment, and most importantly, history" Twilight explained "For why we came to this time era, we thought this was your species medieval ages, but we were clearly wrong" Twilight said shamefully, looking down, her ears drooping
"Study my species, for another" He said to himself putting his right hand up to his chin "Say, how about we make a deal?" He proposed, Twilight's face lighting up at the words "I have a time traveling vehicle that can go to anywhere and anywhen on the planet Earth"
"What's the deal?" Lyra asked, her hopes raising
"How about we share our history with each other? I'll time travel to the most important events in our history, in exchange for the knowledge of your culture and history" He said with a slight smile, turning back
"Hmm" Twilight thought for a couple of seconds "Here you go a little deeper into the forest so me and my friends can talk about this in private" Twilight explained, nodding and with an Of course he walked off
"What do you guys think?" Twilight asked looking back at her posy
"In my honest opinion, if we want to learn anything about these creatures, I say we should trust him" Applejack honestly said, putting a hoof up to her chest
"I agree, the only thing I came here is to learn about everything about humans" Lyra responded
"This stuff does look pretty awesome... Oh, what the hell, why not?" Rainbow Dash agreed with the majority
"Alright let's go!" The human cheered running up the hill
"W-wait, how do ya` know what we said?" Applejack asked, stunned by the action
"Advanced hearing" He said bending down in front of them and turned his head to the right to reveal a small, metallic, device in his ear lobe. Twilight writing the information down, he started to advance down the hill "What are you waiting for? Let's go!"
"Staying back a few seconds Twilight whispered as quietly as she could to her friends "If he trys anything, be ready" They nodded as they began to follow him to approach their destination
"Where are we going?" Rainbow impatiently asked
"Hold your horses," - he let out a chuckle "we're just going to my vessel" He finished "But while we're on the way, can we get names in order?" He asked, looking back to see the small four ponies
"Oh" Twilight responded "Well, I'm Twilight" She put a hoof to her chest "This is Rainbow Dash" Twilight declared pointing towards Rainbow "This is Applejack" Twilight pointed towards Applejack, she tilted her stetson with a howdy "And that is Lyra" Twilight finished off
"Some weird names... Well, it`s nice to meet you, my name is Zaine, but my used-to-be friends called me Captain Zaine" Zaine announced looking forward, following the natural path that headed deeper into the forest
"Don't insult my name" Rainbow retorted back
"I wasn't insulting, weird doesn't directly mean an insult, in fact, I think your guys' names are kind of cute" Zaine responded,, the smallest of blushes appearing on Dash's face
They continued their journey to the so called vessel for a couple of minutes, Zaine put his hand up, indicating for them to stop. They entered an empty part of the forest, a plain spot with only grass, and no trees spanning at least two hundred feet
"Here we are" Zaine said, stopping to a complete halt. Confused gazes spawned on the four mares
"Um, I don' mean to be a pest, but there's nothing here" Applejack clarified, Zaine lifting his right fore arm right up to his eyes. There was a glass screen on his left arm, containing statistics and commands, Zaine pressed the top left command module with one of his fingers, then settled his arm down again. Slowly appearing out of nowhere, his supposed vessel became a reality
"Cool..." Rainbow cooed

"Welcome to the Time Dynasty!" Zaine exclaimed looking at the vessel, lifting both his arms up a tad
"The what now?" Applejack asked when Zaine touched another command on his forearm. They were at the back side of the vessel, if they were to guess, it was thirty to forty feet wide. Four gigantic boosters were located at the very end, all of them were pointed vertically. The height of the ship had to be twenty-five feet, the exterior design was a little hard to explain. You know how needles are slanted at the ends? Well, the front was like two needles, face away from each other. As the ship length went on, it got wider, and taller, until about three-quarters the length of the ship, it changes direction and goes inwards dramatically. One final fact is that the ship color was a dark blue.
An on-ramp sprang out on the left side of the ship, about five feet away from the boosters due to the command Zaine pressed. The ramp extended about a quarter the size of the height of the ship "Oh, that's just the name of the ship" Zaine clarified walking towards the wide platform, about seven feet.
"You do know, we can time travel as well?" Twilight curiously asked following him onto the steel like on-ramp
He scoffed "Stop with this foolery" He simply stated calmly, walking into the small room that was the entrance
"Yes, we can! With the help of magic, we can-" Twilight stammered
"See that foolery, there is no possible-" Zaine cut himself off "Oh... that suddenly makes a lot of sense" He agreed with himself
"What the hell? You were just against the idea of magic, now you're siding for it? That makes no sense what-so-ever" Rainbow argued, as the rest of the group walked into the compacted room, the temp was perfect and smelled like a hospital
"Yes, I am siding for it now, even though I still don't fully believe in it" Zaine replied, getting confused faces in response "Don't look at me like that"
"What are you getting at?" Lyra asked looking around the room. It was gray, no more than a ten to ten room
"I was sent here to this time era because a time anomaly appeared at this point in history. The only thing we knew, is that it wasn't directly caused by humans. So we thought that one of the members from TPA was involved somehow. We got here as soon as possible, then I followed the fragments of broken space-time, and that's how I found you. We thought you were extraterrestrials from space, but we saw no spacecraft, no nothing, you even had very primitive technology... So I guess your explanation of magic makes a little more sense"
"...Amazing... What's a `time anomaly?" Twilight asked, eerie hearing the words.
"A time anomaly is an event in time that wasn't supposed to happen, it changes the history of Earth. We scale these events on a one to twenty scale, we've never seen a twenty before, not even a fifteen. But in the year 2047, a time anomaly appeared, it well surpassed twenty. It also tells us if it's a good or bad change, depending on the color." Zaine explained "It was a bad way"
"What do you mean in a bad why? Like how?"
"I'm guessing, you guys got caught, took, and got your portal tech stolen" Zaine explained getting slightly disgusted faces "Yeah, humans all over history do that, sadly" Zaine finished "Really rare in the future might I add" Zaine added, their faces softening just a bit
"I only brought up that we can time travel because we could explore your history when we want" Twilight explained as Zaine went up to the door that was located ten feet after the entrance. He put his right hand on the right side of the door. The screen he placed his hand on looked to have scanned it, and with no further thought, the gray door opened.
"Nonsense" Zaine replied, walking into the new area. The group of four ponies walked in with him, hearing the on-ramp begin to close. Their eyes were greeted with a huge room around thirty feet long and twenty feet wide. The walls were planks of wood that were a dark brown. The floor was a bright red concrete substance that was stainless and perfect. The room was lit with bright lights that were beams went all along the sides of the room. The walls harbored a few paintings about landscapes, but the main one was the portrait of him to the right when you enter the room. It was still the same as what he was wearing, but just in a different pose with a black background, his hands were on his sides. There were beautiful, carved, dark, wooden sofa laced every so often by the walls, all different colors. In the middle of the room, both the walls on either side was a screen that also had commands. "Where we're going, you need protection from the wars we are going to be visiting. Also, I'm pretty sure this will be quicker" Zaine stated walking to the other side of the room
Applejack whistled "This place is lookin' mighty fine"
"Wars?" Lyra repeated, ears drooping.
"Why yes, you guys are wanting to go to the most important times in history, yes?" Zaine answered and questioned at the same time, stopping at the other side of the room. The other side had a door Zaine was standing in front of, Its color was the same as the dark brown walls, but looked to be made of metal. Doing the same thing with his right hand, it looked as if it got scanned again. With the door opening, he walked into a similar yet very different room. It was the shape of an elongated oval, wider than long. Same walls and same floor texture, but something was really interesting about this room. There was a huge pure black door to the left.
Zaine points to the door "That's the engine room, don't ever go in there without permission, or you might mess something up, or you might very well kill yourself" Zaine bluntly clarified walking into the, what seems to be, by far the longest room in the ship. A long hallway spreading around fifty feet. There were ten of those metal doors, five on each side, spaced ten feet apart "The ship was designed to hold a maximum of twenty people, these rooms were the rooms of... previous crewmates." Zaine sinisterly grumbled the last few words
Walking to the end of the hallway, Zaine stopped a few feet before the door and looked back at the four ponies "There's something I haven't told you yet..." Zaine trailed off, looking down putting his hands n his trench coat pockets
"What is it?" Rainbow asked suspiciously
"I have a crewmate in this vessel, but don't be alarmed, he knows about your existence and your presence on the ship." He turned around and opened the door "And he doesn't bite" Zaine jokingly added
Walking inside they saw that the room was bland, the length of the room covered the rest of the missing length of the ship. The walls were a light blue color along with the roof and floor. There were nineteen chairs all spaced out perfectly at the end of the room, and one bigger chair behind a behemoth of a windshield. The chairs could turn around, but not be moved. The chairs had heavy duty straps, to very likely keep you in place. They were connected to the ground with a metal pole keeping them in place. The windshield was gigantic, it went all over every single chair, spanning half way through the roof.
Walking in, they saw another human being sitting in the pilot's chair, the chair turned around that was harboring the human. What was revealed was nothing that was never thought to ever exist. The human's face was half-metallic above the lips. One robotic eye, and a spiked black mane. The iris in his eye was brown, and he was wearing a golden colored trench coat, with black pants and shoes. When he stands up, he heads towards the group with a soft smile. "Hello, my name is Nicholas, may I ask what yours is?" Nicholas asked with a soft, calming voice, with the same Equis accent as Zaine's. He bent down, just a tiny bit so he could hear them more clearly.
"Certainly" Twilight cleared her throat "I'm Twilight, Applejack, Lyra, and Rainbow Dash" Twilight picked off each one, pointing towards each one of them.
"It's nice to meet all of you. It's fantastic to have new partners" Nicholas cheered with glee
"That is indeed." Zaine agreed "You know what we're doing right?" Zaine said instantly Nicholas's smile evaporated
"Something risky" Nicholas responded with a hint of slight anger
"But this has the outcome of something that would out beat the risk. This could be the most revolutionary thing humanity will discover!" Zaine pleaded.
Nicholas crossed his arms. "Enlighten me," Nicholas said, rolling his right hand as a go on with it gesture
"They can interdimensionally travel" Zaine swiftly announced. A giggle emerges from Nicholas's mouth
"Alright, so you mean to tell me... that these creatures don't have pens... but they can travel through the theoretical multiverse?" Nicholas spat out with sultry "Please tell me that you're joking brother" Nicholas in disbelief announced their relation
"No, I am one hundred percent being honest at this very second" Zaine sternly announced, a grin growing on Nicholas's face
"Prove it" Nicholas cockily demanded
Zaine nodded at Twilight. Getting the memo, Twilight put her saddlebag in front of her, got a feather and a notepad out, and layer them on the floor "Well?" Nicholas's impatience making the ponies feel slightly angry. At that very moment, Twilight focused on the levitation spell, with the very weak magic Twilight had, she lifted the feather and notepad, lifting them a couple of inches above the cyan floor with her purple aura. "I... but... how? May I ask?" Nicholas stammered, the cocky-ness subsiding
"Is it really that hard for you humans to understand magic?" Lyra thoughtfully asked, trotting over to the captain's seat. Looking at the front of the ship Lyra saw through the windshield seeing the dark forest and the two prongs at the bow of the ship. In front of the seat were a lot of buttons, panels, and screens, with one huge lever in the middle
"Is 'magic' the word I'm hearing? Because that might-"
"Well, there is a nice explanation of that. I don't fully understand the mishap as well but I know this" Zaine cut off Nicholas, a gawking look grew on Nicholas's face "Think about it, no pens, no spacecraft, yet they're intelligent and are in the year 2047?"
"I... Fine, there is proof of this so-called 'magic', but this subject needs to be studied" Nicholas surrendered, straightening his golden coat walking to the hallway behind the group and entering the hallway "I'll be in the observation room!" Nicholas hollered
"Observation room?" Rainbow asked, testing out one of the chairs by doing a whole three-sixty in the seat
"Just a room where we write down facts and hypotheses" Zaine cheekily answered. A silence reigned in the room. The dawdling and looking around the room continued until much of the room was explored "Shall we discuss our first mission?"
"I guess so, though, you know, we know next to nothing about your species" Twilight answered a chuckle emerging from Zaine's person
"You are super blunt, I like that" Zaine complimented thinking of how to start things off "We should go to our library to plan out where and when our first mission will be" Twilight's ears perked up at the word library
"You have a library?" She curiously queried
Rainbow jumped out of the seat "Here we go again..." She facehoofed
"Yes, we do have a library. It's the first door on the right, follow me" Zaine commanded walking out of the open door following his own directions. The small group followed Zaine to the said door, watching him opening it and entering the room.
When they entered the room, they noticed something... off. No bookshelves, not even books for the matter. Just like the other rooms, it was lit up with the artificial lights. The room had a type of wall that were made out of screens, all four of the walls were made out of this type of material. The ceiling and floor were made out of a dark purple stone that was very smooth to the touch, more fine than any stone cutter in Equestria that's for sure. In the middle of the room there was a familiar looking sigh, a huge stone table with ten wooden looking thrones around it. Zaine marched to the end of the room, turned on the screen, pressed a command, then rapidly turned it back off.
"Where are all the books?" Twilight eagerly asked looking around the room in search for any sign of the word book.
"Ha, books..." Zaine chuckled "let's have a seat, shall we?" Zaine proposed, taking a seat to the nearest throne to him, the other obliging doing the same actions he took. "In the year 2021 books started to become digitalized at light speed. In the year 2071, books were officially classified as outdated. Now all of our literature is found on the internet" Zaine explained getting questionable faces in response.
"What's the internet mean?" Twilight seeked an answer grabbing some ink, feathers, and a note pad, dotting down the information Zaine announced
"What does digitalized mean?" Rainbow asked at the same time
"Well... digitalized means putting something on the internet and the internet is... how do I put this?" Zaine thought for a few seconds keeping the ponies on edge "The internet is something that is world wide, easy to access, billions of people have access to it, they can access it any time they want, and it is really cheap to do so"
Twilight scribbled down the information in a heart beat, putting more questions down "B-b-billions...?" Twilight stammered, almost denying what he had just declared
"Look, we came here to discuss our first mission, not ask a million billion question. Now as much as I would like to answer them, I don't want to spoil the surprise of our history" Zaine explained, not in a tone that was slightly angry, but a tone that was one of slight kindness. Twilight retracted her ears down just a bit.
"I understand, I would rather visit the point in history instead of being told it" Twilight replied in understandment placing her feather back down on the table
"Well, when and where will our first mission start?" Applejack put forth out of the blue
"Isn't that why were here, to discuss about it in this room?" Lyra asked, looking toward Zaine wanting a correct in response
"Precisely" Zaine answered snapping his fingers, pointing toward Lyra "Now that we have the time, we can discuss about the main article first, when. Do you have any suggestions?" Zaine asked, everypony's ear perking up at the question
"A billion years into the past!" Rainbow shouted, Twilight glaring at her
"The beginning of your civilization?" Twilight begged
"How about your time era?" Lyra fantasized
"Maybe the most deadliest time in your history?" Applejack bargained
"Probably not, very likely, very likely no, and most definitely" Zaine answered one by one, pointing his finger at them while doing so
"Wait, you can really go that far back?" Twilight asked, getting a victorious gaze from Rainbow
"Why can't we go to your time era?" Lyra asked, a slight sadness in her voice
"I am intrigued" Applejack responded, tilting her Stetson and relaxing back in the reasonable comfy throne
"One question at a time, please!" Zaine raised his voice just a smooge, silencing them "Sorry for the little out burst but I don't like getting asked several questions at once" Zaine explained, the ponies nodding in agreement "First of all, Twilight, yes we can go far back. In fact, we can go back to the beginning of the universe. And Lyra, we can't go back to my time era because it's too risky, I may be very well caught with you when we're there, and bringing passengers from the past or future, is one of the biggest crimes you can do in our society" Lyra nodded, but Twilight raised her head in confusion
"How old is your universe?" Twilight asked putting her ear out to get the clearest answer possible
"Around thirteen point seven-two-two billion years old" Zaine replied making Twilight's jaw drop
"Th-thirteen... billion" Twilight responded and repeated after the message
"I know it's hard to take in, but facts are facts" Zaine bluntly stated enjoying the view of Twilight's face with a smirk
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP
The artificial lights went red as they heard a loud, annoying, beeping noise. They looked around confused as to what was happening "Shit..." Zaine said under his breath
"What' in the hay is goin' on here?" Applejack demanded slamming her hoof on the stone table
"A time anomaly..." Zaine announced with anger. At that second a metallic voice sang out of nowhere
"Time anomaly inbound" A low metallic voice announced in a low male voice "Ancient Egypt, 3072 BC"
"Hey Applejack" Zaine caught the attention of the orange horse while standing up off of his chair "Looks like your wish has come true!" Zaine announced running toward the door and running through the door way "Come on, we need to go" Zaine ordered, the ponies following him into the cock pit. Nicholas met them a few seconds later after they entered he room
Nicholas looked at the group for a few silent seconds whether to allow them to come or not "Come on, we need to Ancient Egypt right now" Nicholas commanded, approaching the pilot's chair, pressing a few minor buttons "Get seated, were going for a ride" Just like the, the ponies and human took their seats around the captain. When they sat in the chairs, are metal brace was out around there necks instantly
"For protection" Zaine answered, a sweat drop forming on his brow
"Alright here we go!" Nicholas excitedly yelled, putting his hand on the lever pushing it forward. With that, they started to levitate into the air, boosting into the atmosphere at ridiculous speeds. A red portal came into view in front of the ship as they entered through the unknown once more.

Red engulfed Twilight's vision, it was the only thing she saw for what felt like five minutes. The only thing Twilight heard was a high pitched ringing noise, and nothing but that.
"Twilight...! Twilight...!" Lyra's voice called out, but was distorted, and echoey, you could barely manage a word coming from the location. With that, the redness ever so slightly started to fade to where she could see a foot in front of herself, then it faded some more to where she could see two feet in front of herself. The ringing subsided, while the redness retreated quicker and quicker until all of her senses came back to her.
Looking around the room, Twilight could see that everypony was still in their seats, except Lyra. She was in the process of struggling to get out of her brace. To what Twilight assumed, she was trying to get out to check on her, given the mishap.
"Lyra! Trust me, it is just a minor side effect from time traveling!" Nicholas and Zaine explained simultaneously
"You mean to tell me that not responding, won't talk, or Twilight's eyes being red is just a minor side effect?" Lyra retorted, her brace releasing her, in fact, it released everypony
Twilight fell out of her chair purposely, Lyra scrambled over to Twilight instantly almost tripping over her hooves whilst doing so. Rainbow Dash followed soon after Lyra, they both helped Twilight up to her hooves. "Are you okay, Twilight?" Lyra worried
"W... what the hell was that?" Twilight murmured quietly to anypony in the room
"Temporal time dysplasia" Zaine answered, Twilight raising her brow at the answer. "It's where your senses shut off for a short time, one of the many side effects of time travel"
"Lovely..." Applejack replied. Zaine swiftly walked to the right side of Nicholas, observing what lay outside the windshield
They were about five hundred feet hovering in the air In the landscape, there was a huge flowing river, to the sides of the river, there big farms that were growing crops. Houses were scattered that were made out of wood and a limestone looking material. Beyond the lush greenness, there was desert... and more dessert. "Welcome ladies and gentlemen, to Ancient Egypt!" Nicholas revealed with excitement in his veins
"One of the first advanced civilizations in human history, but not the first civilization in human history" Zaine added dawdling over to Nicholas's right side followed by Applejack, while Rainbow, Lyra, and Twilight proceeded to Nicholas's left side
"Not much to look at, ain't it?" Applejack asked everypony in the room. In response, Nicholas darted up out of his chair and onto his feet
"Not, really Applejack, but that doesn't mean it wasn't important" Nicholas said whilst getting through the small crowd that had surrounded around him "Now that we've had our looks at our missions' scenery, it's time to figure out what exactly went wrong" Nicholas finished with a sign of disappointment
"Agreed" The rest of the group simultaneously busted out, following Nicholas to the exit into the hallway.
When Nicholas bolted out of the door after unlocking it of course, he pointed to the door to the left of them "To the left of us, our history room lays. We use these for missions, as to search at how exactly time went wrong." Nicholas lectured, swiftly approaching the metal frame. Nicholas dawdled into the extremely bright, white room. In fact, all the surfaces in the room were the purest white the eye could see.
"Ah! Geez, could it get any brighter?" Lyra asked in shock, covering her eyes with her left forearm, trying to block as much light with it as much as she could, the rest of the group of ponies joining her.
"You'll get used to it" Zaine cockily replied with a smirk walking in the bright room, not reacting to it, not even a flinch!
It took a few seconds before the ponies eyes adjusted to the brightness. The group trotted into the room, eyeing its features. Couldn't really tell how big it was, but it was big enough for all of them to fit into the location.
"Gather round'" Zaine asked gesturing his hands to the ponies. They obeyed and made a circle around a circular frame. The object that they were now circling, was a perfect circle shape, about a foot tall, and two feet in circumference. The design on the sides were like tiles, a repetitive art style of different colored gray, hard, tile like, design. What lay on top of the, what their assuming, device, a flat, solid, glass surface. Obviously, you couldn't see anything beyond that, the only thing that seemed to be on the existence of that field was darkness.
"What is it...?" Applejack asked, slowly drifting her hoof to the device
"DON'T TOUCH IT!" Nicholas hollered frightening the group. Applejack instantly relaxed her hoof and pulled it back
"What's the big deal?" Rainbow asked defensively pointing her left hoof at him
"This device is extremely sensitive, the slightest wrong move can very well end its working capabilities" Nicholas stuttering explained
"Why's that?" Twilight butted in, in a questioning mood
"You are unknown entities to our technology who, have proven, to have magic that can interfere with the laws of physics. So who knows what would happen if you were to touch this already sensitive device" Zaine finished off urgently
"Exactly" Nicholas agreed. But the only pony in the room who got the memo was Twilight.
"Noted, but if you can't touch it, how is it supposed to work?" Twilight replied gaining a sign from Nicholas
"It's voice activated, and can only be activated by me or Zaine" Nicholas plainly stated
'Alright, let's get back to business" Zaine said, clapping his hands together "Ancient Egypt, year BC 3072" Zaine commanded toward the device with a stern voice
The lights dimmed quickly to where you could barley see five feet in front of you. And just when Applejack was about to ask what went wrong, the machine projected images of news articles, maps, dates, and a man wearing a strange white and red hat, which looked to be two hats, but combined into one.
Zaine scanned through the words on the news articles and maps "Mother above..." Zaine quietly muttered putting a hand on his quiff hair
"It's worse than we thought it out to be" Nicholas sighed after Zaine putting his hands to his side
"What went wrong, exactly?" Rainbow asked, genuinely curious about the situation
"Oh geez, well in the year 3072 BC a man named Menes, who was the first ruler of Ancient Egypt, well his parents were assassinated before he could ever be conceived"
"It's a dark tale, but why is he so important to your time line?" Applejack asked with a brow raised
"Menes had an idea of uniting both lower and upper Egypt. Which caused advancements in technology to make their nation last for hundreds of years. Of course, he pulled it off and united them. But without him, Egypt never united. For hundreds of years, they were upper and lower Egypt until one day in the twenty-fifth century, the Assyrian Empire took them over." Zaine stopped to take a breath "And without the advancements in technology, they never rose again. After the Assyrian Empire won, they took over the Middle East, this part of the world" Zaine pointed, getting closer to the projection "Then they proceeded to invade the Mediterranean" Zaine dragged his finger to the location "Then all of Europe, then India, South East Asia, China, Scandinavia, and the rest of Asia" Zaine stopped and pointed to Nicholas
"Right," Nicholas spoke up " then they took over North Africa, then the entire continent of Africa, and Oceania. Of course they had a few civil wars, but from what I'm reading off the page, it says that they won them all. They advanced their technology for hundreds of years, advancing medicine, weaponry, mathematics, science, and ships. They used those ships to sail out to conquer Iceland and Greenland, then Canada, all the tribes in America, spread down to Mexico and took over South America" Nicholas let out a breath of relief after the long paragraph "And all because one guy died before he could conquer a nation... that's history for ya"
"Well... isn't that a good thing? The Assyrian Empire unified the world, I don't see how that could possibly be bad" Lyra questioned the logic.
Zaine put rubbed his hand on his temples "The world wasn't supposed to unify until March 12th, 2113-" Zaine explained but being cut of shortly after
"Wait, I'm getting confused about those numbers your layin' down, what's with the BC stuff and all that?" Applejack asked adjusting her hat that was finding its way off her head
"Let me gather my thoughts for a moment" Zaine took a deep breath and released it "Me and Nicholas come from a time in human history that is labeled the year 3025. We number these years so we can keep track of what happened in what time of history"
"Then how did you start counting your years? You said that this universe was over a billion years old, and if that's the case, why is your year labeled only 3025?" Twilight hypothesized in her head, coming up with the only explanation that she could think of, which was that he was lying about the age of the universe
"I feel as if I'm being left out in the conversation" Nicholas turned on the lights and focused back on Twilight's question "Then this thing called religion takes effect in our time line" Twilight's ears perked up at the word religion " You know how we keep saying BC then the date?" Nicholas asked no one in particular, but got responses nonetheless with nodding of agreement "We say this because of a dating system humans used in the first to twenty first century. How we got this, you may ask? Well, over the course of those two thousand years, the main belief was Christianity, bonkers if you ask me, and they believed that a man named Jesus Christ was born 3025 years ago. He was so important because he was allegedly the son of the overlord himself." Images of what he was talking out, projected out of the screen every other sentence of the story "God was the overlord they believed in, he made all life, the universe, Earth, and humans, and get this, in a week" Nicholas let out with a chuckle "But about that BC date, there was history before Jesus Christ, so the dating system had a BC, which stood for, Before Christ" Nicholas finished off, making one or two of the ponies let out an oh
"But like what I was saying, its bad that the Assyrian Empire unified the world because in the millennium to come, billions and billions of people will have never have been born. Not to mention, technology never advanced to a point in history, which means that this technology that we're in right now, will have never existed in the year 3025" Zaine revealed, which popped in a major question in everypony's head
"Then... how are we on this ship if it was never created?" Rainbow asked, suspicion growing in her voice by the second
"Time is a tricky mistress, I must say, but we're still in here because history needs to play out fully before the affects of the anomaly's are permanent or actually start to affect history" Zaine explained quickly, killing the suspicion in Rainbow's voice leaving a silence spread over the room "Right, well the mission" Zaine looked at the ponies and slowly put his hand to his forehead making a face palm "I completely forgot at how we're going to do the mission with magical, talking ponies walking around Ancient Egypt"
Twilight's eyes glew up with an idea "Just tell them I'm another sentient species, one which is rare of course"
"Um... there's a SLIGHT problem with that Twilight.... Humans are the only sentient species on our planet" Nicholas revealed with disappointment lingering in his voice
"Of course... anymore surprises you have in stock fer us?" Applejack commented with a blank expression
"We probably have thousands, but for now we'll keep them surprises until further notice" Zaine replied putting his full attention to gaze at the individuals in front of him "But we need to focus at the problem at hand, or in this case, at hoof" He continued letting out a chuckle at his horrible pun
"I may have a solution to that" Nicholas surprisingly said out of the blue
"Erm, excuse me? How?" Zaine asked with slight surprise raising his brow
"It was supposed to be a present for Unification Day" Nicholas revealed, he sounded some what disappointed
"Ah, shit. I forgot completely about that" Zaine replied face palming shorty after
"It's fine truly , I don't mind spilling the surprise for our guest. I hid it in the best hiding spot- under the bed" Nicholas truthfully preached hearing a little laugh from Zaine "You just wait here while I get it" Nicholas informed as he took off in the search for the device
"Unification Day?" Applejack asked tilting her head
"For another day" Zaine replied with a smug smie
Nicholas shuffled in, s gleam off of the side of his robotic face hitting everyponys eye. As he was approaching Zaine he put his hand into his golden trench coat. Out came his hand with a small pen looking object
"A... pen?" Zaine quirked chuckling putting his hands into his light blue tench coat "Do you know how outdated those are?"
"No! Well, kinda I mean" Nicholas stammered only making Zaine's face grow with a bigger look of confusion on his face. "Lemme just explain it, it's a device that looks like a pen, but when you click the top" Nicholas said clicking the top as he said it.
A 2-D horizontal line was projected off of the top of the pen, it hit the top of Nicholas's hair to only travel down his face at a quite slow pace. After the line passed his hair line did something... amazing start to take place. His dark peach skin turned into a dark brown skin as his entire structure of his face turned into another human, and the attire he was wearing turned into a white kilt. The blue line traveled down on Nicholas until it passed his feet to only retreat back into the device.
A few seconds of silence and mouth opening amazement, did only Zaine break the silence "Quite interesting, brother" Zaine put his hand up to his chin to examine the new face before him. "Very interesting..." Zaine repeated, lifting his hand to touch Nicholas's cheek with his index finger which only got him a slap to his hand from Nicholas
"Dude, that's weird" Nicholas playfully insulted hearing giggles all around him
"How is that even possible?" Rainbow asked absolutely shocked
"Because it's not" Nicholas replied silencing the room
"Alright... Now you've completely lost ME" Zaine announced as Nicholas walked toward the projector
Hearing sounds of agreement, Nicholas turned around to face Zaine "You see, this device didn't actually change my face, it changed your perception of me to look like something else"
"Extraordinary..." Zaine cooed "So that means you are actually you and not ... him?" Zaine asked pointing towards his figure
"Exactly" Nicholas answered with a snap with his fingers
"So are we just supposed to do the mission while we look like... this?" Twilight asked unsure of herself at ho to word her sentence
"Ah, but fear not little lady, therefore I have a solution!" Nicholas put on an awful heroic impression. Instantly he put his thumb on top of the pen. He clicked the top of it swiftly. A bright flash took everypony's vision for a milisecond before their eyes adjusted to see properly again. Just like that Nicholas became himself again.
"Now you see me as my normal self, but to other people who were not exposed to the flash, that rewires your perception of me, sees me as the man you saw before I flashed you with the flash" Nicholas explained with a huff at the end.
Zaine clapped his hands slowly "Remarkable! But one more thing... Will it work on our guest here?" Zaine asked gesturing to the nearest pony to him which happened to be Lyra, she rolled her eyes
"Maybe...Who would like to be the first one to try it out?" Nicholas asked the group. The ponies looked at each other with confusion not wanting to try it out.
"I will" Applejack ambitiously stepped in, taking one step towards Nicholas with intimidation
"...Alrighty then" Nicholas awkwardly accepted as they walked to meet up with each other. They stood four feet apart, ready at the hand, Nicholas raised the pen , twisted the top to the right just a smooge, and clicked it "It may feel like something lightly draping against your skin"
"Huh?" Applejack asked, but it was too late, the projected hologram hit the top of Applejack's head and migrated itself down to her hooves, all the while Applejack held in giggles
"Now that it's scanned your 3-D form time to change your appearance to a randomly generated human being" Nicholas announced twisting the top to the right again, and repeating the same action as he did last time
Starting from the hoof up, it travels its way up her forehooves changing its structure to SEEM like it looks like something else. Her hooves transformed into dark skinned feet as her back side dissipated. As the transformation traveled upwards, did very very primitive clothes start to form. She was wearing sandals that were made out of papyrus and palm tree leaves. Human legs started to replace her fore hooves as a white primitive dress started to take form to cover the figure. Strange enough, the transformation continued upward even though there was no more Applejack to travel up to. You could see a human all the way up to the bottom of the neck. But the transformation still continued upward starting to sculpt a face. This part of the process was significantly longer than any of the other parts of the body. It took about a full minute to form the face. Brown eyes, dark hair that was cut short, and weird looking makeup around the eyes.
"Wow..." Everypony besides Nicholas cooed with feelings of astonishment and feelings of not knowing what to say or do
"Now, what Applejack feels and sees is the exact same as before, but to us she looks different." Nicholas explained, hooking the pen on his trench coat "If she speaks, to our eyes, she speaks from the human mouth, if she picks things up, she uses her hands to our eyes. But if we interact with her," Nicholas put his hand through her nonexistent head "let's just say things wont turn out great" He added, pulling his hand out and putting it back to his side
"I am at a loss for words Nicholas, this is amazing!" Zaine praised with excitement, Nicholas gave a little bow out of pride
"One more thing, be precautions at ALL times. Who knows what kinks, or problems will happen if you do something wrong, especially since you have magical properties in your being" Nicholas sternly addressed "Who's next?"
