Chapters Luna's inspiration manifestation
“Phew,” Twilight said to herself, exhaling a little. “That was entirely too much trouble from one book. I hope you've learned your lesson, Rarity.”
“You're right, Twilight,” Rarity admitted. “That was foolish of me.”
Twilight dropped the Inspiration Manifestation book into a bag, then sealed the bag. “Spike, take a letter please. Dear Princess...”
Spike scrambled to follow her instructions.
A few hours later in Canterlot, Princess Luna lowered herself back to the floor of her balcony – moon raised, it was now time for her other duties.
Before she could get ready, however, there was a knock on the door.
“Princess?”
“We are here,” Luna answered. “Enter!”
The door creaked open, and a Night Guard pegasus trotted in with a bag in his mouth.
The guard who followed him, a Day Guard unicorn, rolled her eyes. “I told you, I could carry it.”
“Mmff,” the pegasus mumbled, then put down the bag. “Princess, this bag arrived a few hours ago in the postal section. It requires a Princess to look over it, and with Princess Celestia on holiday we thought it would be best to wait until you were awake.”
“Good thoughts, both of you,” Luna agreed, taking the bag and scanning over the letter. “A book? How interesting… and from Twilight Sparkle, as well!”
She nodded to the guards. “Thank you both. You may go.”
As they left, arguing in low voices over the proper division of duties, Luna opened the book.
“It is still remarkable to see how many books have been written in the last thousand years,” she said to herself. “Perhaps there is an hour or two before I must travel the dreams of Our ponies...”
It was a rather strange book, despite the cover looking practically untouched, the writing within was something she had not seen since before being sealed away as Nightmare Moon. Luna pushed the thought out of her mind, trying not to dwell on the uncomfortable memories as her eyes scanned the pages.
Whatever this book was, it quickly became clear it wasn't some sort of story Twilight had simply wanted to share. The tomb spoke of intricate magical techniques, of ways to strengthen spells and conjure up whatever it was that crossed the reader's mind. As Luna flipped through the pages, her vision grew a little hazy, a soft emerald tint coating everything. She shook her head, rubbing her eyes to rid herself of the effect. Surely she couldn't be that tired, it had hardly been a week since she had taken over Celestia's extra duties.
Luna trotted over to her bed, starting to slow in her reading, focusing on what information the text actually contained. Perhaps this was a spell Twilight had been attempting to develop? That would make the most sense, considering the weight of the volume and how in depth it went. Twilight was always one to document everything she did, no matter how irrelevant it might have been. Sitting on her bed, Luna began to read the novel, not noticing as the emerald haze seemed to return…
After more than an hour of reading, Luna was most of the way through the book, and she fought down a yawn.
Maybe it was time for her to return to her slumber – court had obviously tired her more than she had been anticipating. But since there were only a few dozen pages left, she decided it would be best to finish them.
Still reading, book suspended in a field of her own noctilucent magic, she unlatched her peytral and the rest of her regalia. A moment's work ensured that the guards would know she was slumbering, and she got into bed with another yawn.
That emerald haze was stronger, now, but Luna wrote it off as an effect of her tired state. Closing the last page of the book, she blinked a few times and lay down on the pillow.
Part of her mind was contemplating the techniques and spells she'd read – spells which were so subtle and precise that they required hardly any concentration once one knew the trick. That was probably required, simply in order to avoid the user being distracted, but still – there were plenty of possible implications for the field of enchantment.
And, of course, the ability to cause anything you could think of to form from thin air. Twilight Sparkle had truly proved her skill once more, for all that by alicorn standards she was a mere… filly…
Luna's eyes fluttered closed, and after no more than a few seconds she drifted off to sleep.
Luna's subconscious drifted through the dream worlds, her mind still full of the book, her thoughts of Twilight, and of Nightmare Moon. Floating through the starry ether of her mind. Her hooves suddenly felt ground as she opened her eyes within her dream to find herself standing within the walls of the castle she and Celestia had ruled from in the Everfree forest. Curious, Luna took a few steps through the grand hall, wondering what she was doing back here. She hadn't even given thought to the old castle, let alone dream about it in years. Luna shook her head, her horn alighting as she prepared to leave. Whatever the reason, she really shouldn't dwell on it. She had to patrol her citizen's dreams before she could indulge in her own.
Her horn immediately fizzled out as she heard a faint chuckle echoing through the halls, however. Luna froze as the echoes bounced around her, sounding so familiar, but Luna refusing to believe they belonged to who she suspected. Carefully stepping back, Luna attempted to conjure up the spell again, only for the chuckling to return. Luna shifted in her bed as she looked about in her dream, her heart starting to pick up its pace.
"My my my, what a naughty little foal we have, running around without anypony? Are you lost, little filly?" The voice returned. Luna gulped, trying to spot the source of the taunting as a pool of dark stars began to flow in through cracks in the old stone walls.
The very word “filly” brought her thoughts back to her characterization of Twilight as a filly by alicorn standards, and Luna's mind ran off in another direction at the same time as she backed against a pillar – looking for the voice, as it continued taunting.
“Oh, dear...” the voice said, faux-caring. “It looks like you are lost. That's not a door, filly!”
“I know it's not!” Luna replied, stung into replying. “And – I am no filly! I am Luna, Princess of the Night!”
“Really?” the voice asked. “Because you look like a filly to me.”
Luna reached the pillar, and rather than hard stone against her fur she felt a soft pressure on her rump. Startled, she looked back – and saw something crinkly and thick wrapped around her flanks, a dark blue to nearly match her coat.
It was obvious what it was from the moment she looked at it.
“A d-diaper!?” she asked, shocked, then turned back as the strange voice chuckled again.
Starlight shimmered in a pool on the flagstones in front of her, and Luna realized what it must be.
“Nightmare Moon?” she said. “But – but you're-”
She stopped, shaking her head. “It's just a dream. A very odd dream, but a dream. I have to remember-”
“Just a dream?” Nightmare asked, suddenly right there – her mane and tail still glittering clouds of stars and nebulae, but the rest of her solid and haughty and taller than Luna . “Perhaps… but not a pleasant dream, little filly. After all, I've always been… a nightmare...”
Luna's thoughts ran wild, imagining the trouble Nightmare Moon could cause if she really was self-aware and returned inside a dream. She could cause all kinds of problems – work through her defences in ways she'd never even considered-
-and then the Princess remembered the book she'd been reading before going to bed.
A book about a subtle magic which brought imagination into reality. And she'd just imagined a Nightmare Moon far harder to stop than the original.
Nightmare Moon laughed again as she seemed to tower over Luna, growing larger as she did. "My my my, what an overactive imagination this little filly has! Princess of the night, being visited by 'just a dream'? That's quite amusing." Nightmare grinned, taking a few steps towards the cornered Luna. Luna whimpered, chastising herself for what she had done. Stupid, foalish thing to do, just like a filly would! She gulped, Nightmare smirking as she approached the princess. "Besides, even the princess of the night can be a filly. Why, I remember when she threw quite the temper tantrum, whining about why she wasn't the best sister, why did everypony love the day so much and hate her night?" Nightmare grew a bit larger, almost too big to fit through the great oak doors of the castle now.
Luna couldn't help but blush with embarrassment. Despite how much she wanted to deny it, Nightmare was right, she had acted like a spoiled little filly. "Th-that was years ago! I'm a grown mare!" She shouted back, trying to regain her confidence. Unfortunately, her mind was already awash with pictures of her as a young filly, and the diaper that had somehow materialized around her flanks was doing nothing to help stop these fantasies as she shrank in front of Nightmare.
“A grown mare?” Nightmare Moon asked, sounding shocked. “But grown mares don't wear thick, puffy diapers. Grown mares aren't nearly so small. And grown mares certainly don't like their diapers!”
“I don't like my diapers!” Luna said quickly, then blushed as she heard herself – sounding like a petulant filly, complaining to an adult. The idea seemed to stay stuck in her head, despite how much she tried to think about something else. Anything else.
“Stop it!” Luna demanded, stamping a hoof on the floor. “Or… or...”
She couldn't come up with anything she could do to fulfil her threat, but she could think of things Nightmare Moon could do to repay her for her bratty behaviour.
“Now, now,” the Nightmare said, almost as soon as she'd come up with the idea. “Good fillies don't have tantrums like that, and grown up mares certainly don't. So you can't be a grown-up at all.”
Luna tried to squeeze herself against the pillar, ignoring her puffy rump, but her hooves slipped on the stone floor and she fell on her backside – her crinkly, padded backside – as her booties failed to gain any purchase. She blushed, realizing that Nightmare had just fulfilled another of her speculations, then shook her head and tried to force herself to think about something else.
“Just imagine,” Nightmare said, chuckling, and looming over Luna. “If this is a dream, and I'm so much bigger and more mature than a little filly like you… maybe that means you want me to be in charge?”
Luna shook her head, placing her mitted hooves over her ears in an attempt to block out Nightmare's suggestions. Of course, this did nothing to stop her mind conjuring up images of Nightmare doting over her, tucking her into a crib or feeding her warm bottles of milk. She whimpered, kicking her legs as she suddenly felt Nightmare's magic surround her, lifting her up into the air. "There, there, we need to get this fussy little filly off to bed again, I think." Luna squirmed in Nightmare's magic, trying desperately to free herself, but doing nothing but making her padding crinkle with each little movement. Luna was about to complain when a pacifier was stuffed into her mouth, Nightmare shushing her. "Hush, now, you shouldn't talk back to your caretaker little filly." Luna's blush brightened as she suckled instinctively on her pacifier. She reached up to try and tug it free, but no matter how hard she squeezed, her booties could not get a grip on it.
Luna felt something soft below her pressing up into her diaper, and she suddenly realized she was being lowered into an oversized crib, one made big enough to make her feel even more like a little filly. Nightmare's magic faded around her, but before Luna could try and sit up, she was practically buried in thick, fluffy covers, wrapping her up tightly and snugly. "There, now isn't that better? Don't you feel so warm and safe in your diapers?" Nightmare asked, Luna's head falling back on an overstuffed pillow.
Luna kicked her legs, feeling her diaper shift about, rubbing gingerly between her haunches. Her blush grew even brighter as they did, her mind suddenly imagining them thicker... and softer... and tinglier... Her eyes went wide as her padding grew to match, starting to slowly shift ever so slightly to rub and tease Luna as Nightmare grinned down at her.
“See?” Nightmare asked, chuckling. “Doesn't wittle Woona love her didees really?”
Luna squeaked in sheer embarrassment, squirming to try and get out of the situation she was in – but at the same time wanting nothing more than for the pressure and teasing to continue, indeed to increase. She imagined it getting stronger, imagined Nightmare using her vulnerability to tease her into total submission, and she knew that that was exactly what was going to happen.
And she couldn't work out what to do about it. She couldn't manage to even imagine a way to escape, her mind too caught up in fantasies and teasing.
“Why...” Nightmare went on, musing out loud as Luna's diaper puffed up a little more, growing to the point it would be difficult for her to stand up. “Whenever I suggest something blushy, teasing… embarrassing… you think of it, and it comes true! It's almost like I have this power rather than you, isn't it?”
Luna recognized the trap at the same moment she fell for it.
There was a slight tremor in the dream, as control dropped from her grasp and fell to Nightmare.
Out in the real world, Luna's magic – locked into the pattern of the Inspiration Manifestation – began to change her, reflecting the mental conflict in her dreams.
A night-black diaper formed around her rump, thick and puffy and emblazoned with the Nightmare's cutie mark.
Then it began to grow, slowly and inexorably, as Luna shifted in her dreams.
"Why, I can do just about anything I wished, couldn't I?" Nightmare asked, snickering as she knew Luna was forced to oblige. "I could make those pampers even thicker! I could keep you stuffed safely in that crib all night with nothing but diapers around~" She laughed, watching as beneath the blankets Luna's padding swelled even further, the large pillow her head lay on puffing into a thick diaper with a cloud of foal powder. Nightmare laughed as these changes took place, the real Luna squirming and kicking in her bed as the black diaper started to swell past her knees, spreading her legs wider and wider as they did. "Oh my, I don't think I remember having this much fun in quite a long while!" Nightmare grinned, poking Luna's diaper, the padding starting to swell in spurts, squeezing tightly down on Luna with every puff. She watched as her little filly wriggled and writhed in pleasure, trying desperately to free herself, but her mind doing nothing but conjuring up new ways for Nightmare to tease her.
In reality, Luna's Nightmare padding began to creep up her belly, her tail starting to wrap itself up in crinkly material to match Nightmare's ethereal one. She whimpered, a hoof coming down to press on the front of her padding as she dreamed.
"Oh, but as much fun as teasing you endlessly would be, I must admit, you seem to have a rather one track mind, wittle Woona." Nightmare winked, Luna blushing as Nightmare puffed up a bit, starting to grow soft and crinkly as she did. "I wonder what everypony else would think if they were to see their princess as nothing but a little blushy filly, too wrapped up in diapers to do a thing. But who to show off too...?" Nightmare mused.
Luna wiggled about, the diaper now starting to engulf the tips of her hind hooves, swelling and massaging her as it puffed and puffed, lifting her rear up off of her bed. Her mind, no matter how much she pleaded for it not to, jumped to Twilight and the book she had shared. Nightmare grinned, shaking her crinkle-fying rump excitedly. "OOoh, Twilight is just the pony to help out! What a smart little foal she'll be, I'm sure she'll know all sorts of wonderful ways to tease!"
“What!?” Luna gasped. “N-no!”
The very idea of being in this state in front of a fellow Princess – especially so soon after thinking of Twilight as the 'mere filly' – was mortifying, and she shook her head as hard as she could. The only result of that was just a series of crinkles, from the diapers surrounding Luna both around her body and under it – and, in the real world, a slow advance of the material engulfing her to the base of her forelegs.
“The more you say no, the more I think yes~,” Nightmare chuckled, her body becoming crinkly in earnest. “But – oh! Silly me, I forgot to think about how to take the foal to see Twilight!”
Luna instantly thought about five different possibilities, each more humiliating than the last, and Nightmare smirked.
“Perhaps I need a nice, cushy-padded stroller, for wittle Woona,” Nightmare mused, as one formed by the crib. “Absorbent enough to catch any leaks, too! A nice bottle to keep her quiet as we go to visit, and she'll be quiet as a mouse… including a lot of squeaking, of course~”
Luna tried to use her magic, but of course that didn't work either in a dream like this – and the attempt just made Nightmare chuckle.
“Oh, or perhaps it'd be better to just keep her safe in the most soft, padded place possible,” Nightmare added, yawning pointedly to emphasize the soft material now making up her insides. “Wouldn't that be nice?”
Back outside the dream, the crinkly material of the Nightmare-diaper engulfed Luna's forelegs. It crept up her neck, covering her completely in crinkly material, until only her muzzle was clear of the combination diaper-costume-prison forming a thick, comfy suit around her.
Luna's eyes widened, terrified at the thought. And yet, the back of her mind couldn't help but push that idea into further focus. Imagining the feeling of the plush, crinkly material Nightmare was made of surrounding her, squeezing in and massaging her just as her diaper was, keeping her safe and snug, without any hope of escape. Nightmare grinned, flashing her teeth upon reading Luna's mind. "I think it's settled, then." Her horn flared as her magic surrounded Luna, lifting her up into the air. Nightmare licked her lips, still grinning widely as Luna wiggled in her impossibly thick padding. The diaper in reality was slowly, slowly creeping up her muzzle, almost trapping her entirely as Nightmare opened her mouth wide, hovering Luna closer. Then, with a swift gulp ! Nightmare dropped Luna into her mouth, swallowing her down. Luna wriggled as she slid further and further, the soft, plush insides of Nightmare rubbing her in all the worst tantalizing ways. Then, at the same time her real body was engulfed in the suit, she landed with a flump in Nightmare's belly. She could feel Nightmare rubbing her stomach contentedly, her laughter echoing all around as the walls pushed and squeezed and caressed Luna gingerly. "Oh, my little filly, I think I'm going to love seeing what your friends come up with tonight..." Nightmare chuckled, her horn creating a portal out of Luna's dream as the suited pony wiggled and squirmed in her new plush, crinkly jail.
Twilight was happily trotting through Ponyville, the warm sun shining down through the cloudless sky. It couldn't have been a better day, she thought. A delicious pancake breakfast from Spike, the perfect weather, and, best of all, Cheerilee had requested she come to class to assist in teaching for the day! It felt so rare that she got to share her knowledge with anypony that would listen, and she was sure the fillies and colts of the schoolhouse would be much better listeners than Rainbow Dash was the last time she tried explaining long distance teleportation spells. It seemed as if she had just left her castle, but soon she was stepping up to the door of the schoolhouse, lecture diagrams and aids all stuffed into her saddlebags tucked under her wings.
She knocked at the door, which opened to reveal Cheerilee standing before her. "Good morning, Cheerilee! I hope the kids are ready for-"
"Twilight, there you are! The test is about to start, I was worried you'd miss it. You're never usually this tardy!"
Twilight blinked, a strange fear flashing through her. “Test?” she asked. “I thought it was going to be a lecture. I didn't bring any test materials-”
“I should hope not!” Cheerilee agreed. “But you'd better leave your notes outside anyway, it'd be cheating for you to take them into the test. Come on!”
Twilight realized her terrible suspicion had to be correct. A test – one she had to do, and one she hadn't even studied for!
All sorts of questions about why this was going on, or when she should have heard about it, fled her mind. All she was concerned about was the dreadfully familiar scenario she'd worried about for years.
Mutely, she followed Cheerilee into the classroom, and took the one free seat. It and the desk were both much bigger than the rest, but that made perfect sense.
“All right, class,” Cheerilee said. “You can turn over your papers… now.”
Twilight did so, and began looking over the paper for a hint about what kind of exam this was. The first question was about literary metatheory, and she felt her ears go down and her wings fluff out in dismay.
Answering it as best she could – and with a constant drumming of didn't revise didn't revise didn't revise in the back of her mind – she moved on to the next, and the next, her worry rising as she did so.
'Conjugate the surrealism of the underlying metaphor'.
'Explain, in your own words, why.'
Twilight glanced up surreptitiously, and saw all the others were writing busily. It looked like she was the only one having trouble!
'Write down the fifteen reasons why good financial-'
Twilight blinked, distracted, then looked down at the page again.
'Write down the fifteen reasons why good fillies wear diapers.'
Her mind froze as she stared down at the question. What? What kind of question was this? Was this some sort of reference to a book she hadn't read for class too? She dipped her quill in some ink, scribbling down a few answers. 'They're cute... they're comfy... they keep them safe...' She nervously chewed on the end of her quill, wracking her brains to think of more reasons. Why on earth would Cheerilee need fifteen reasons? Wouldn't five have been enough? Twilight shook her head, flipping a page on the packet (which she was sure had only been a few pieces of paper earlier) to move on. She couldn't spend too long on one silly question. Get the ones she knows first, get the harder ones later. That's what Celestia always taught her. 'Introspections are what form of word?'
'Reneigh Descartes would likely agree with which of the following statements?'
'If a filly is not currently wearing a diaper, what is the best course of action to take?'
Twilight gulped, staring at the test in desperation. Her mind suddenly made a small click, looking back to the previous question. If good fillies wear diapers... and a filly isn't wearing diaper, and assuming all fillies should be good fillies... then the best course of action would be to put the filly in a diaper!
Twilight grinned a little, always a little happy when she found answers within questions, quickly scribbling down a response. She shifted in her seat, not noticing as a white diaper puffed up under her flanks, lifting her off the seat slightly as it wrapped itself around her rear, instead Twilight moving on to the mathematics portion of the test…
The first question involved a long, long, long equation. It made Twilight go cross-eyed just looking at it, and after a moment she wondered if the equation itself was so long it was starting to escape the paper.
Trying not to think about that, she skipped that one for now, and did a few more conventional maths questions. One about long division, which was fairly easy, then one about differentiation which was quite a lot harder.
The contrast didn't seem surprising, and Twilight just moved on after that to the following question.
'One diaper plus three diapers is?'
Twilight thought carefully, making sure there wasn't a trick to the question, then wrote down the answer. Four diapers, of course.
She shifted a little, reacting to something under her flanks without consciously noticing it, and went on to the next question.
The desk seemed a little lower than she remembered it…
Remembering that it was important to take a break if you needed one, Twilight glanced out the window. She spotted a moon hanging low in the sky, which looked vaguely odd, but she didn't think it worthy of much attention.
Going back to her test, she answered the next question – a complicated bit of integration – then moved to a multiplication question.
'four diapers times 1.5 is how many?'
The answer was obvious, of course. Six diapers.
Twilight shifted again, noticing how comfy the seat was, and then decided to turn her attention back to that big equation question – one which seemed only to have become longer since she last looked. It was longer than the page itself, and some of the symbols were falling off and bouncing off the floor.
Scratching her head, Twilight attempted to find ways to simplify the equation. There were a few numbers here, and here she could combine, and by the transitive property she could... she poked at some of the numbers, actually dragging them around on the page as she worked her way through. Solving this equation would have been much easier if it wasn't for the fact that some of the numbers and figures began to slip off the paper, making soft crinkly sounds as they fell to the floor. As she followed the path of one of the numbers, she noticed another equation she seemed to have skipped. She chastised herself a little for managing to miss such an obvious question. 'Six diapers squared is how many diapers?' Exponentials, this math test was certainly testing a range of abilities, Twilight mused. Still, it wasn't particularly hard. 36 diapers, of course. Twilight leaned forward over her test, not paying much mind to how her thick diaper was now pushing into the back of her seat, bulging out over the top as her tail swished across it nervously. Returning to the large equation, she noticed even more numbers and letters had fallen free, now starting to swell up to the size of a balloon you might find at a party. Twilight tried to collect some of them back up, squeezing the crinkly figures as she leaned over them, trying to remember where they all fit back into the equation. Pushing aside an 8, she shifted in place, her legs spread wide by the padding resting between them.
"Ten minutes, everypony!" Cheerilee called out. Twilight's stomach clenched. Ten minutes? How much time had she spent on this equation? She flipped through the novel of a test, trying to see what she had left to answer as the numbers continued to swell around her. Twilight attempted to lean back into her chair as she picked up the test, only to fall and land with a puff onto a swelling 0, her padding fitting neatly into the hole in its center. 'Ok, ok, calm down, Twilight. Go to science, you can do that!'
'Puffmium (an element associated with spontaneous growth) as 7 valence electrons while Crinklicon (an element commonly found in thick diapers) has 1. How easily would these two elements bind to form a covalent bond?'
“Um, uh...” Twilight began. “Wait-”
“Twilight!” Cheerilee said sternly. “Please do not disturb the others taking this test!”
The alicorn in question winced, shifting in her seat, and ignored the crinkling sound her diapers produced as she did. Blushing, she put her head down and went back to the question.
This isn't right! She thought to herself. The question didn't have enough information – she didn't know if the elements were in the octet bond section of the table or the duodectet section of the table. Without that she couldn't answer the question…
...unless she gave both answers! She'd have to show her working.
Depending on the bond type of the elements, either one of each would bond very easily- she shifted again, wondering why she was so high off the floor – or a single Puffmium atom would bond best with five Crinklicon atoms. In the latter case the resulting diaper stack would be extremely thick and hard to move in.
She looked over her answer again, deciding it was good and made complete sense, then dropped her pen over the size of the table. It vanished into the pile of numbers, and Twilight was about to raise her hoof to ask for another pen when Cheerliee called out again. “Time!”
Twilight's eyes widened, then she groaned. How had she run out of time?
She closed the test paper, noticing the dozens of questions she'd not even reached, and sank back into the pile of puffy balloon-y equation all around her.
A few seconds later, Cheerilee was at her desk and flipping through the test paper. “Oh, dear, Twilight...” the teacher sighed. “It looks like you'll have to go back to-”
Twilight gasped.
“-Magic Kindergarten!”
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!" Twilight sat up in bed, screaming loudly. "No! I swear I can do better! Let me retake!" She shrieked. Upon realizing she was sitting in her bed, Twilight's panting slowed, her muzzle scrunching as a blush crossed her face. She glanced down at Spike, who was curled up in is small bed, still asleep. Twilight let out a sigh of relief. At least she didn't have to explain what she was screaming about to anypony. Twilight fell back into her bed, rolling over to try and go back to sleep. Her drowsy mind didn't even notice as she snuggled into a puffy number 6, pushing a thick diaper with "A+ Filly" printed on it into the crinkly numeral before falling back into dreamland.
Pinkie Pie was eagerly zipping around Sugarcube corner, tossing confetti all over the shop's floor as she giggled. She was so excited! She's getting to plan the biggest, bounciest, funnest, most silliest party she'd ever done before! All for the Mayor's 276th anniversary of Ponyville! She had balloons and party games and decorations galore! Pin the tail on the Cranky, dunk tanks, acrobatics and juggling, the whole whiz-shebang! Oooh, but what to make this party extra extra special? After all, this wasn't any 27*5th* anniversary! It needed to be super duper loopy looper fun!
The Pink Party Pony picked up a recipe book, then gasped.
She closed it, closed her eyes, flipped to a different page, and opened it again.
Then she giggled. “Great! It's a dream! And that means this can be super-elaborate-aroonie!”
Pinkie paused, and put a hoof to her muzzle. “But maybe that means it doesn't count? Hmmm...”
She put another hoof to her muzzle. “But that just means it can be a great practice run for a real super-awesome party!”
Taking both hooves off her muzzle and putting them back on the floor, she began to ponder. “Hmmm… so because it's a dream, that means there can be anything I think of! I can make it so there's huge balloons, way bigger than anypony would let me try out in a real party! Oh, and I can taste-test the MMMM, and a chocolate-caramel-cranberry cake that I can call the CCCC!”
Full of ideas, Pinkie started by making the room much bigger. Then she dreamed up a huge pile of packing peanuts, and spent a few minutes swimming around in them before jumping out and brushing them off.
That done, she imagined a whole packet of really big balloons. No, bigger than that.
“All right!” she announced. “Let's see how big this balloonie really is! Or, well, how big I'm going to dream it is!”
Giggling again, Pinkie opened up the pack of balloons, reaching her hoof down to pull out a bit of rubber only a bit larger than her head. "Awwww, is that all my silly dreamy mind can come up with? I better have some sort of trick up my sleeve, or I'm really going to disappoint myself!" Pinkie wandered over to the closet, rolling out a large tank of helium into the center of the room. "Alright, Pinkie-brain, do your magic!" She slipped the end of the balloon around the nozzle of the tank and twisted it open.
The deep blue balloon emblazoned with stars and moons began to slowly swell, stretching bigger and bigger. Pinkie poked the balloon as it grew, grinning as she noticed how much give it still had. She knew she shouldn't have doubted herself! It stretched larger and larger, soon as big as the party pony herself! Pinkie bounced her rear against the balloon playfully, looking around at the rest of the room. "Oooh, I should get some streamers set up before this big bouncy balloon gets too big for the room!" She laughed, bouncing back to the cupboard, tossing several party supplies including poppers, rubber chickens, and cartoony glasses aside before returning with a hoofful of rolls of streamers. Humming to herself, Pinkie began to throw the rolls around the room, streamers flying from the end as the balloon continued to stretch and swell. Pinkie would occasionally bump into it, not monitoring how quickly it was growing as she decorated.
"Heehee, stop it Mr. Balloony, I'm not done yet!" Pinkie chuckled as she bounced up against the balloon as it began to fill the room further, pushing chairs up into the wall and removing the room Pinkie had to move around without bouncing into its squeaky surface.
Pinkie gave the balloon a playful push back, but that only seemed to encourage it – odd as that sounded – with the rubbery material suddenly balloon-ing out much faster and pinning her against the wall.
The Party Pony shoved against it, grinning. “H-hey! I'm not that sort of pony, mister!”
Then there was a sudden squeeeak noise, and the surface of the balloon seemed to extend along the wall and come in around behind her. For a moment, she was completely surrounded, and then the material retreated so that her upper half was free.
The rest of her, however, was all but lost inside the balloon. Only her rear hooves stuck out, at odd angles, and Pinkie pressed into the surface with her forehoof to feel the tension. That made it produce a squeaky hiss, and it deflated until it was merely so large that she was halfway to the ceiling.
With the sudden loss of pressure, and the air blowing all over the place, the streamers she'd put up started to flick in all directions. Most of the time they just bounced off the wall, but the ones which ran into her got all tangled up – and before Pinkie had time to blink, she was covered in streamers.
The whole situation was one she could appreciate – it was perfectly slapstick! She applauded, but that just got her more tangled up.
“Uh… maybe I'll have to be the dance floor...” she said, giggling at the thought of other ponies bouncing around on the balloon she was half-stuck in.
Pinkie bounced in the balloon, squeaks and squirks filling the room as the streamers rebounded off of the rubbery material to tie her up. A few streamers even managed to slip down between the balloon and wall, tying it tighter into herself as it slowly puffed and deflated, massaging her tenderly as Pinkie wiggled in the confines of the party supplies. Heehee, well, she was sure this would be a party to remember at least! Dancing on the balloon, lots of games and treats and- Pinkie's ears perked up. The treats! How could she forget tasting all the different flavors to see which ones she'd use for the party? Tugging fruitlessly on her bindings, Pinkie tried to free herself from the balloon, but only succeeded in sinking a bit further in as it puffed up around her.
"Let me go, you big balloon! I can't sample sweets like this!" She proclaimed. But even as she did, she felt something poking into her cheek. Turning her head to face it, she had a fleeting glimpse of a slice of cheesecake before it was shoved into her mouth by some unknown force. "Mmmmmm!~" Pinkie moaned, slumping down in the balloon a bit as she savored the flavor. "Oooh, what was that? I need to get that recipe down for when I wake up!"
Almost as soon as she finished her sentence, another treat blurred towards her – this time, a chocolate torsade with extra vanilla flavouring.
Pinkie chewed on it, and just managed to swallow the delicious pastry down before a raspberry torte replaced it.
Then there was a circular ring-shaped biscuit with hardened icing on the top. Then an apple, which was surprising enough that she blinked, before it was replaced quickly by a much sweeter slice of orange-peel cake.
Pinkie quickly lost count of all the sweet things being presented to her, as she bounced up and down in her balloon of a seat and her streamer-y bindings. It seemed to be coming just slowly enough that she could manage to get each one down, but when she tried to chew more slowly it just stuffed the next treat in too soon and got crumbs everywhere.
The Party Pony could feel herself getting fuller and fuller – overfull, stuffed with good party treats and sweets – and she groaned, feeling delightfully plump but knowing that it would do terrible things to her waistline.
But it was a dream – her dream! So if she wanted to be tied down, stuffed in a balloon diaper and made to eat everything on the menu twice… who was she to argue?
Wait, diaper?
“I didn't realize that's what I was going for!” Pinkie announced, in a brief lull.
Another sweet stuffed itself into her muzzle, muffling any further comments she might have had on the strangeness of her dream. But, Pinkie didn't really care too much. She had to admit, the diaper balloon was quite comfortable, especially how she sank further and further into it as her waist ballooned out with each smackeral of dessert. Occasionally she would bounce atop the balloon, feeling it surge out with a hiss , lifting her back up into the air to keep from being fully swallowed up by its rubbery grip, letting her gobble up more and more sweet treats. Pinkie would have reached up to rub her belly had her hooves not been tied to her side, but feeling her warm pudge push against the bindings wasn't half bad either.
"Mmmfff, I wonder- mmpphhh, if anypony else wouldn't mind a par- gulp -ty like this?" She mused to herself. Still, whatever silly part of her had decided to come up with this idea, she had to let it take control of her dreams more often, Pinkie thought as she leaned back into the balloon diaper, sinking in as she let herself be stuffed until she was the proper size of the padding... which only kept growing to make sure she never quite was.
At about the same time, a bush rustled outside Trottingham.
Gilda the Griffin chuckled to herself. Sure, this was a bit mean, but it was going to be pretty funny – all she had to do was to get somepony or other to accept the flowers in her bag.
This far from the Everfree Forest, nopony would recognize Poison Joke for what it really was. Based on what Dash had said about it in the past, it'd be good for a funny but ultimately harmless joke.
She'd got the antidote in her other bag. She wasn't a monster-
Gilda looked up at the sound of a pony walking down the path, then slid backwards a little so she was behind the bush.
When the pony's hooves were nearly up to where she was, she came out from behind her hiding-place. “Hello, there.”
“Oh – hello,” the pony answered, a unicorn filly wearing a saddlecloth. Her eyes were an odd bright blue, and her coat was very black, but Gilda didn't really pay much attention. “Who are you?”
“I'm Gilda,” the Griffin introduced herself. “And I was just looking for somepony like you – you see, I've got a lovely bunch of flowers in my bag which I was told to deliver, but the pony who was supposed to take them didn't want them!”
The filly looked puzzled.
“I was wondering if you'd be able to take them,” Gilda went on, opening her bag with a shrug and revealing the blue flowers.
The filly stared in at the flowers that almost seemed to glow in the night air. Her horn lit up as she carefully levitated out the bouquet, Gilda trying to keep an innocent smile on her face. "You might wanna give them a sniff. Just to make sure you like the smell, y'know." She suggested.
The filly nodded, pulling the flowers close to her nose. She took a biiiig whiff... then suddenly blew into the flowers, scattering the pollen up into Gilda's face. "Gah, what the heck?!"
"You meanie! Trying to trick a harmless little filly!" The pony cried. Gilda rubbed her eyes as she started to take a few huffs, feeling a sneeze building. "Only a little chick tries to do that!" The filly smirked. Gilda took a few more breaths before suddenly sneezing. And as she did, a thick blue diaper puffed around her rear in a cloud of poison joke pollen. Gilda's eyes widened as she looked over her shoulder at the thick garment, the cloud of pollen only making things worse. She tried to fight back another sneeze, covering her beak as she did. Her padding fluffed up the tiniest big thicker, releasing another puff of pollen.
The filly stuck her tongue out at Gilda, laughing. "Why you- aaah, little aaah... -choo!" She sneezed once more, still more powder billowing out of her fluffy diaper. The filly laughed, Gilda glaring at her as she reached down to try and tug the padding loose. No matter how much she pulled and yanked on the tapes, though, the padding remained firmly secured to her rear, spreading her legs wide.
"Hope you have fun in your diaper, chick!" The filly laughed, trotting away from Gilda. As the griffon tried to regain her composure, she could have sworn she noticed seams running along the tiny black filly's body. But she was soon distracted by the pollen eliciting another loud sneeze from her. She fell down onto her padded rear, rocking back and forth as she sniffled and tugged at the locked padding.

Luna's inspiration manifestation
As Gilda tried to escape her puffy, pollen-laced predicament, the ponies of Ponyville continued to slumber. One by one, they were touched by the magic wending through the night.
Rarity's dream was of her shop – the place where she worked, rested, and created whenever inspiration took hold. After the experiences of the day, involving out-of-control magical constructs, the simple dream of a normal day made her smile faintly under the covers.
The sewing machine clattered as she worked on a rough demonstration piece, and then the shop bell jangled to interrupt her.
“Coming, darling~” Rarity called, turning off the machine with a flicker of telekinesis.
When she reached the door, she saw a pony wearing a long, woollen cloak – dyed a simple black, intended to conceal whoever was wearing it.
“Welcome to the Carousel Boutique!” Rarity said brightly, not at all fazed by the cloaked pony – after all, everything makes sense in a dream. “Your shop for all manner of creations of cloth and crease! How may I help you?”
The cloaked pony placed a small pile of index cards on the counter, each one covered with writing. “I would like to commission some pieces from you,” she explained, in a precise voice. “Cost is little object, but I would like to see the specifications followed exactly.”
Rarity picked up the cards, and examined the first one. It detailed a close-fitting outfit of thick plush that covered a pony from their hooves to their neck, with a zipper in the back which locked into place, and with little poppers around the rear to allow a hatch to be taken down. The measurements were sort of familiar, looking a lot like hers, except that it specified a far larger cut around the flanks and rear.
The second one was for a dress, full of frills and frou-frou finishings, and a pastel pink in colour. It included a number of locks or other places where the dress could be tightened up and secured on, and it also had measurements which looked sort of familiar to Rarity.
After paging through all of them, Rarity nodded. “I believe I can work with these,” she confirmed. “I will get to work as soon as possible – to see what inspiration strikes!”
The mysterious mare smiled and nodded, turning about to trot away as Rarity shut the door behind her. Turning back to her sewing supplies, Rarity pulled out the first of the cards she had been given, leaning it up against a stack of fabric as she began to levitate over the appropriate colored sheets of cloth. Snips of scissors and the slow clacking of Rarity's sewing machine began to fill the room as she proceeded to work on the first item. The suit was easy to make, buttons, zippers, and thick fabric was something she was, of course, very accustomed to working with. Cloth and thread flew around Rarity's head as she worked, her horn glowing softly as she threaded the poppers into place, making sure they secured nice and tightly. Feeling satisfied with the first piece, she carefully levitated it over to a mannequin, slipping it onto the figure in an attempt to see how it would fit with the other items on the mare's list.
Holding up another card detailing four small mitts that would cover each of the pony's hooves, Rarity thought for a brief moment that it seemed rather redundant. Considering how thick the fabric was for the first suit, anypony in it was already going to have a bit of trouble getting a grip on anything with their hooves. Still, she paid it no mind and began to continue. As her magic swirled about, fashioning the boots from the cloth, Rarity glanced over the next card.
The dress looked very extravagant, full of ruffles and frills. Were there always this many of them? She shrugged, opening a drawer in her desk to rummage around. Zippers and buttons were one thing, but locks were quite another. Where would she have left something like that? Did she even have some? As if on cue, Rarity opened another drawer to find it absolutely teeming with all manners of locks, large, small, shiny and specially decorated. The back of her mind wondered where she would have stashed the keys for these, but it hardly mattered now.
Taking a large collection of lace, along with the pastel fabric specified by the card and the locks, Rarity got to work on putting the dress together. It was a little tricky to design something which was intended for a pony without knowing who the pony was, but she used herself as a basis for her design on the grounds that it would be a good first approximation.
Humming to herself as she worked, Rarity made sure to put specially strengthened threads through all the important parts of the dress – the hem, the shoulders, the bodice – as well as attaching a half-dozen petticoats so that the skirt would be properly flared up when worn. The result took a little longer than she'd originally expected, but once it was done she had to smile with satisfaction – she'd met the requirements on that one exactly.
The next few cards were stranger still – a bonnet designed to be strapped in place, then what appeared to be some kind of circus harness in pink and blue, and something Rarity didn't recognize at all except that it was designed to hold something in place in a muzzle.
Then there was one which required a magic suppressor, and Rarity was sure she didn't have one of those. But, checking her drawers, there was one in an odds-and-ends drawer – just between a pacifier and a pair of plastic panties.
That was odd enough to make Rarity do a double-take, but then she shrugged and put together the commissioned piece – a little plushy tube, with the magic suppressor at the tip and with the whole thing sized to fit over a unicorn's horn.
She noticed that it was about her size, then put it out of her mind.
Work nearly done, she double-checked all the stitches to be sure all the locks were in place – each and every one open, but ready to be clicked shut at need – and that the rest of the outfits went with the measurements precisely.
As Rarity reached for the cards again to see if there was one more, she frowned – realizing she'd been working for quite a long time, and that she hadn't visited the little mare's room all that time.
Rarity flipped through the cards, figuring that she could at least double check what she had finished and what she hadn't before heading off. At the very least she'd know what she wouldn't need to worry about, and nature wasn't calling quite that hard yet. Bonnet, check, dress, check, sleeper, check... Then Rarity came across one card that had been stuck to the back of another. She pulled the card off, revealing one last garment she had forgotten to create. A large round piece of cloth designed to go around somepony's flanks, complete with just as many frills as the dress and to be made of a deep purple color. Rarity shrugged. If this was all she had left to do, she could easily finish this for the night. Her horn flaring up once more, Rarity began to unfold fabric on her sewing table, snipping and clipping the sheets into the proper shape.
This last bit of clothing was far thicker than Rarity would have ever deemed reasonable, even with her love of extravagance. Fasteners were sewn into place as more and more layers of puffy absorbent (why she had this kind of fabric, Rarity would never have guessed) padding being added to the garment. Rarity shifted in place, her bladder starting to ache a bit more. She was nearly done, she could wait just a bit longer. Despite how quickly she had finished the article of clothing, Rarity was about ready to zip out of the room when what she had been making finally struck her.
Laying on her table was a thick, puffy, frilly cloth diaper. One that was far, far too big for any normal foal to wear. In fact, as Rarity examined it, she realized it was almost perfectly designed to be big enough for her. Rarity's brow furrowed as she wondered why in Equestria that mare would have ever needed this to be made, especially once she began to think about everything else that she had put together as well.
Rarity looked back at the various other bits of clothing she had prepared, mulling things over. She thought she heard the sound of a pillow falling behind her, but she pushed it out of her mind as she was reminded about what else she had needed to do. Biting her lip, Rarity was about to head upstairs when she suddenly felt something soft and warm wrap around her flanks.
“What on Equestria-” Rarity yelped, looking down and behind herself at the offending item on her flanks. She blushed deeply when she saw it was the diaper she'd just put together, but then realized something was wrong.
How had it gotten onto her in the first place?
Deciding to ignore that, she tried to pull the clothy object off of her. Her first attempt failed, as she discovered the diaper had not only wrapped itself onto her but also fastened itself, and before she could try again there was a sudden rush of movement from her pile of finished items.
Every single piece she'd just constructed was rushing towards her, a regular fashion insurrection, and the sight was so odd that she actually forgot to try to use her telekinesis for a moment. Then the first piece of fabric she'd put together arrived, zipped back open, and in a trice Rarity found herself forced into it with her hooves in the long, snug legs and the zipper doing itself up along her back.
“Stop it!” Rarity wailed. “I'm not supposed to – this isn't how – stooop!”
There was the unmistakeable click of one of the locks locking, and Rarity blushed as she realized that she was stuck unless she could find the key – the key for a lock she hadn't even really looked at in any great detail.
Then the dress swept down upon her, and Rarity caught sight of herself in the mirror as she was locked in the frilly, ruffly dress as well. It made her wince, as the thickly bulging diaper was being accentuated by the plushy underlayer – and the dress was just making it more obvious that that was what she was wearing.
Rarity kicked out, lamenting her state, and the booties attached themselves to her hooves – quickly chinching tight so there was no chance of easily rubbing them off, then securing another lock in each case. She tried to muster up the concentration to do something with her telekinesis, but as she was building up the energy that horn-sleeve slipped nearly into place and cut off her magic.
Then came the bonnet, and the muzzle straps, and both the pair of plastic panties and the pacifier from her drawer took their appropriate positions. Rarity was the picture of a blushing, overdressed filly, and yet she couldn't help but think she was forgetting something-
The harness swept up under her rump, lifting her into the air, and secured her to the roof of the Boutique. There was a little elastic give in the straps, and Rarity moaned around her pacifier as she realized that it was a foal's bouncer – one she was now stuck in, just as she was stuck in the frilly, ruffly outfit and the thick cushy diapers.
She tried to push her hind legs together, but the shock of the bouncing was too much. Whining in embarrassment, Rarity soaked her diaper in a rush.
Her padding swelled outwards, squishing down into the harness as she was pulled into the air by the elastic bands. Whimpering, Rarity tried to reach down to fumble at the bindings with her encased hooves, but all she managed to do was make her diaper squish about some more and rub herself gingerly as she bounced in her harness. Looking over her shoulder, Rarity felt the pressuring of the padding growing tighter on her rear. The padding swelled as she soaked it, pressing into the flap on her rump. Her diaper bulged out, the buttons straining to keep the padding inside as the petticoat framed it in a horribly adorable fashion.
Rarity kicked her legs, her horn flaring up as the tried to cast a spell, but the sleeve on her horn pulsed as she did, the bouncing lifting her higher, causing the harness to squeeze even tighter into her padding as she rocked around in it. Trying to stifle a moan, Rarity suckled on her pacifier, wrapping her hooves around the straps of the bouncer. She jiggled and wiggled in place, starting to bounce higher and higher. She panted behind her pacifier, finding the squeezing and squishing of the harness worringly enticing. Higher, and higher, and higher! She wiggled her hind hooves, feeling her diaper squish and squeeze, practically bursting from her sleeper as she bounced in the foalish trap.
Dash could hardly contain her glee. Here she stood, at the doors of the Wonderbolts Academy, the windows gleaming in the bright sunlight as she could hardly contain her excitement. She took a few deep breaths, trying to calm herself. Ok, ok, cool it, Dash. You don't want to look uncool to all the Wonderbolts, right? Still, she couldn't stop her heart hammering in her chest. She'd finally done it! Her, a Wonderbolt! She was going to be flying with the very best! The absolute pinnacle of daring feats and acts of death defying-entertainment! Her legs shook as she trotted along the cloud path up to the door, pushing it open to step into the Wonderbolt's academy.
The moment she crossed the threshold, there were a dozen Wonderbolts around her. She saw Echo, Soarin', Spitfire, but some of the others were a little indistinct – as if the uniform was important, but the rest of them was just a suggestion.
Dash wasn't one to dwell on that kind of thing. “So, I'm in!”
“You sure are!” Soarin' agreed. “Now, I think we all know what our new recruit's first assignment is?”
“Yeah!” Snowflake agreed.
“An assignment? Already?” Dash asked, a bit surprised. “Don't I need to settle in first? Get my official Wonderbolts uniform? ”
“Nah, that can wait,” Soarin' told her. “This is a really important bit – it's the first step as soon as you join the Wonderbolts!
He pointed. “Firefly, get the outfit!”
Firefly darted off.
“An outfit?” Dash repeated. “What kind of outfit?”
“It's the outfit all the Wonderbolts beginners wear for their first assignment,” Soarin' told her earnestly. “It's a really important step – don't you want to take part?”
“Well- sure, I guess,” Dash agreed. “I didn't realize, uh...”
She shook her head. “Whatever! I'm ready for anything, boss!”
“That's the spirit!” Soarin' complimented her.
Dash's enthusiasm lasted until she saw the outfit Firefly had gone to get.
“...what?” she asked, giving it a look over. It was kind of like a cheerleader's costume – with a couple of pom-poms to go on the wings, and a short skirt, and a skimpy dress – except that it was thick, puffy, and covered most of the body.
And there seemed to be a worrying amount of padding around where her rump would go.
Dash looked at the outfit, her mouth agape for a moment. Suddenly something clicked in her mind and she smirked, looking back over to Soarin'. "Oookay, really funny, Soarin'. Where's my real uniform?" Soarin' raised an eyebrow, looking Dash over.
"This is it. That's it right there." He stated, matter-of-factly. Rainbow Dash's smirk faltered and her gaze returned to the costume. Her muzzle scrunched as she tried to not show her repulsion at the silliness of the outfit.
"Y-you're serious? That's my uniform?" She asked, praying for Soarin' to let out a hearty laugh and let her know it was all just some sort of prank. But Soarin' only gave her a nod, looking concerned.
"Dash, you said you were up to anything, and this is where every Wonderbolt starts. You get to be part of the show while you're still training for the big stuff, you know?"
Rainbow Dash grimaced. She could totally take on the big stuff at first, what was Soarin' talking about? But, still, she was worried that any unwillingness to comply would show she wasn't a team player, and that would lead to a quick expulsion from the Wonderbolts for sure. "Alright." She said, taking the costume from Firefly.
Slipping into the outfit, Dash's legs were spread a little by the padding around her rear, the skirt doing almost nothing to hide the generous amount that was there. She shook the poms about a bit, her face turning a bright red as she looked herself over in the mirror. "So, ready for cheerleading practice, rookie?" Soarin' asked, poking Dash's rear playfully. Dash gave a small 'eep', her face turning a deep crimson as she turned to see the Wonderbolts heading out to the practice field.
“Come on!” Soarin' called, seeing her lagging behind. “Cheerleaders need to be out there before the main show, not after it!”
Dash hurried to catch up, blushing all over again as the bulk of the padding made her waddle – rump swinging back and forth like a horizontal pendulum.
It made what should have been a simple jog into a lot of effort, and into a humiliating experience. She groaned a little, imagining what she must look like, then tried to straighten up as Soarin' gave her another look-over.
“All right, rookie,” Soarin' began. “The first rule of being a Wonderbolts cheerleader is that you need to put your whole body into it! It's not good enough to just shake those pompoms up and down, you need to shake your body as well!”
Dash nodded, deeply embarrassed that this was what her first day as a Wonderbolt was turning into. She'd been hoping for triple backflips in the middle of a stall while a thunderstorm was going on overhead, something awesome! Not… this.
“Let's see you give it a go!” Soarin' told her.
Waving her wings up and down to make the pompoms shake, Dash did so – taking a deep breath, and then shaking her rump as well. The bulk made it stick out on each shake, giving it almost a life of its own, and she closed her eyes to try and concentrate.
Then she opened them again, and saw a crowded stadium full of ponies.
“What!?” she yelped. “But – I'm not – no!”
The reason for the sudden transition escaped her, seeming completely natural. But being in a silly, puffy, padded cheerleader costume still mortified her.
Dash's hooves immediately dropped down to tug on her skirt in an attempt to hide the fluffy rear of her suit, the crowd cheering loudly. Looking about, Dash tried to find the exit, she wasn't supposed to be performing, she didn't know the routine! But as she spotted the rest of the Wonderbolts, she noticed Spitfire looking up at her from the coach's box. "Dash, what're you doing? Get the show started already, we can't go on without an intro!"
Rainbow Dash's blush intensified as she looked around the stadium at all the ponies watching eagerly. She took a big gulp, posing as the crowd's cheers refilled the stands. Not having a single clue what 'show' she was supposed to start, Dash attempted to improvise. "A-alright, everypony! They're the fastest fliers around! The most daring and amazing performers you've ever seen!" Despite her initial horror at being stuck in the middle of the stands alone in such a humiliating costume, Dash was gaining a bit of confidence as she led the cheers, starting to shake her poms and rear more enthusiastically. "They're here to give you the show of a lifetime! They're the-" Dash took a deep breath, doing her best to start up the call.

"The Wonderbutts!" The crowd cheered, apparently not noticing the glaring error in their cheer. Dash was equally oblivious, instead shaking her rear excitedly as a few of the members started to fly up from their stadium entrance. If Dash had paid attention, she might have noticed their suits were almost as puffy as hers, and, to make sure the cheerleader was the puffiest of them all, her skirt had grown a bit thicker as well. Dash tumbled in the air, Soarin' passing by as some of the Wonderbolts began to circle around her. "Alright, Rookie, you remember the routine, right?"
Dash froze a little, watching as the Wonderbolts flew around.
"Uuhh…"
“You don't?” Soarin' asked, teasingly. “Well, that's not very impressive for somepony wanting to be a big part of the Wonderbutts – we all need to know the whole routine, you know!”
He clapped his hooves together. “Well, I guess that means we'll just have to show you the ropes!”
“W-wait,” Dash said, blinking. “Did you say Wonderbolts , or-”
Spitfire bounced off the ground with help from the springiness of her suit, grabbing Dash's shoulders as she went past and lifting the rookie cheerleader into the air. “W!”
Then Echo did a ground-bounce as well, this time bouncing Dash further into the air with a butt-to-butt springy contact. “O!”
One by one the suited-up pegasi came darting down to the ground and bouncing off it, then bouncing Dash. What started as a bounce into the air quickly became bounces about in just about every direction, including left-right-up-down as if Dash was a pinball in a pinball machine.
After eleven bounces, and a complete call of WONDERBUTTS!, Soarin' went past in a quick loop. “That's the first one – now, you call with us! More bounce is better!”
Without anything else to go on, Dash did just as Soarin' suggested, not noticing the way that both suits puffed up whenever she and a Wonderbutt bounced off one another – and, as she was making nearly a dozen times as many contacts as anyone else, she was puffing up far faster.
Dash flipped through the air, trying to maintain some sense of where she was in space as she was bounced about. "D!" She called out, feeling her rear being smacked by Spitfire as she passed again, sending her flying towards the stands. Her wings flared up in an attempt to stop herself from careening into the ponies, but Soarin' smacked her downwards, 'tsk'ing a little as he did. "Come on, Dash, you gotta be better louder than that! Besides, everypony knows that bouncing's no fun when you've got wings to help you!"
Dash looked up to see Soarin' shaking his rear for the audience, the back of her mind registering how his suit's bottom was wide enough to use as a pillow. A thought that Dash immediately tried to ignore, not needing her mind clouded by the thought of curling up with the stallion, resting her head on his wide, puffy rear...
Dash was shaken free of her fantasies as she was bounced up again, forcing her to shout out "Uh- E!" "R!" She cheered, trying to keep up with the bounces as they grew faster and more elaborate. Her own hind legs were spread so far apart she could barely waggle them, her tail wrapped up in the plush rump of her suit as it continued to swell. As Dash was thrown around, she noticed a few of the Wonderbutts starting to climb on top of each other as they bounced her about, lifting her higher and higher into the air as they formed what seemed to be a pyramid of swollen suited pegasi.
Dash bounced back and forth between six ponies, then three, then Soarin' bounced her up in the air five times in a row - for a complete call of “B!U!T!T!S!” - and, finally, he took his own place on the pyramid.
Both unwilling and unable to use her wings, ensconced as they were in the puffy suit that surrounded her, Dash hung in the air for several seconds before landing on top of Soarin's puffy-suited butt.
“Now, a proper Wonderbutt rookie has to have great balance!” Soarin' told her, and Dash bounced once before coming down much more slowly. She twisted, trying to avoid falling off the pyramid, and wiggled her butt as best she could to control her movement before she came down for a landing.
She bounced, wobbled, bounced again, and finally settled down – mostly. The whole pile sproinged up and down constantly as the Wonderbutt rears expanded and contracted, moving like a three-dimensional Mehican Wave, and she had to use all her wiggling skill to avoid tumbling down the pyramid.
“Wonderbutts!” she called out, spontaneously, and the crowd roared. “We're the Wonderbutts!”
The pyramid trembled, and then the whole thing began to fall over at once – a clearly planned movement, as the larger rows of Wonderbutts at the base bounced in unison back into the air.
Dash was too busy controlling her own fall – as much as she could, which wasn't much – and when she bounced back into the air, several of the Wonderbutts came bouncing over to surround the point she'd landed.
They were carrying something, which they quickly spread out – all of them boinging in unison as they did so, using their springy rears much more than their wings by this point.
Dash tumbled about, waving her hooves as she shook her pom poms about, trying to see what the Wonderbutts below her had. Her bouncy rump did quite a good job blocking whatever it was they had. It wasn't until she began falling and she felt her rear slow as it was caught by something large, fluffy, and crinkly that she fully grasped what they were using. "Is this a diap-aaaah!" She failed to finish her sentence before the Wonderbutts pulled upon the edges of the diaper, flicking their hooves at the last moment to launch Dash back up into the air.
She flew up into the sky, her enormous padded butt being presented for the entire audience before her. Her face turned a bright red and she hovered in the air for a moment before falling back down. The diaper puffed as she fell into it, the Wonderbutts all bouncing and rocking on their own swollen rears as they flung her up into the air once more, chanting, "Dashie, Dashie, she's our foal! To swell to bursting is her goal!" The Wonderbutts waggled their rears as Dash fell down again, keeping her bounced higher and higher as they boinged all about on their puffy butts.
Dash flipped and twisted in the air, shaking her butt for the audience just as Soarin' had. Glancing down, she spread her legs out as wide as she could, embracing the padding as she fell back into it, bounced up once again. She began to chant along with the others, making sure she was the best cheerleader the Wonderbutts had ever seen. "Wonderbutts, have the best rumps, just right for bouncing and to pump!"
Each bounce sent the diaper's middle bumping into the ground, and it swelled up – puffing itself thicker and thicker, though Dash only got a hint of that as she went up and down in the air.
The chant got louder, her suit got puffier, the bouncing got higher and higher. Then, all at once, the Wonderbutts let go of the diaper as Dash went plummeting into it.
Almost immediately, Dash found herself nearly lost in it. There was so much of the poofy garment that it was like she'd vanished completely! But then, as her suit continued to swell, she began to emerge back into the open.
The diaper tightened, as her suit expanded, until the two fit together perfectly – her enormous, puffy suit filling out her enormous, crinkly diaper to precision, and to the point she was like the nub left after a party balloon was tied off, nearly lost at the top of the immense mass.
The whole of the Wonderbutts team came bouncing towards her, and then landed in a neat circle on the upper slopes of her immense costume – making it creak and shake, wobbling back and forth.
“Wonderbutts!” came the cheer, and confetti rained down in all directions.
“Good work,” Soarin' told her. “Now that's what I call a good performance, rookie! Keep this up and you might graduate to a proper Wonderbutt yet!”
From the outside, Dash's cloud house looked nearly normal. Only someone who'd been watching it all night would have noticed how the walls were creaking outwards slightly, a pressure forcing the soft cloud-stuff away from Dash's bed.
Just below Dash's house, at the edge of Everfree Forest sat a small tree cottage, another Pegasus soundly asleep inside. Fluttershy rolled over in bed, humming quietly to herself as she dreamed...
"Oh goodness, Harry, you didn't have to do all this for me!" Fluttershy said as the large bear pushed aside a branch to reveal a clearing where several of Fluttershy's animal friends sat around a picnic blanket. The blanket was covered in all sorts of different foods, the basket at the center practically bursting with sandwiches, berries, and sweets of all varieties. Fluttershy trotted towards the center of the clearing, taking her seat at the blanket between Angel Bunny and Corporal Hissy. A large blue jay hovered over with a pot of tea in its talons, carefully pouring it out into a cup before Fluttershy. "Oh, thank you very much!" Fluttershy said, picking up the cup as the others gathered around.
"You've all been too kind, really!" Fluttershy said to her animal friends, Angel already knee deep in carrot cake. "I just wonder what the occasion is." She took another sip of tea, watching as the others proceeded to dig into their meals. As she watched, she couldn't help but notice some of the animals were a bit... softer? Did Harry get his fur fluffed recently without telling him? She chuckled to herself. He always was trying to impress her, after all.
As the group ate, there was a small shuffle of leaves in the woods beyond the clearing, causing Fluttershy to look over her shoulder nervously. She couldn't spot anything, but as soon as she tried to return to her meal, a few more shuffles happened again, a twig snapping some distance away. Her hooves shaking slightly, Fluttershy set her cup of tea down, trying to relax. It was probably just some deer looking for something else to eat…
There was a cough from the direction of Harry.
Fluttershy looked up, and saw that Harry's fur had apparently become a lot fluffier while she'd been looking away.
“Harry?” she asked, a little confused.
Then there was another snap, and a crash as a chimera came trampling out of the Everfree.
Fluttershy jumped. “H-hey! Manners!”
The chimera's tail snapped at her, and Fluttershy fluttered back out of the way – then she blinked, seeing that the fangs of the snaky tail had just gone springy as the mouth closed.
“Um… are you okay?” she asked. “Is that why you came after me? I can help, if you're not well – or, I mean, I don't want to assume…”
She glanced back at Harry for reassurance, and saw the bear carrying something very odd – a big, puffy bear sleeper, with an especially large bulge around the rear.
Then the bear swiped at her with a soft-looking paw, trying to sweep her into the unzipped sleeper, and she just about managed to avoid being grabbed.
“Harry!” Fluttershy said, going for 'stern'. “That's very rude of you!”
Then a dozen of the birds came after her with a Cardinal sleeper, carrying it in their beaks, and Fluttershy decided it might be a better idea to try and work out what was going on… later.
Preferably somewhere else?
She ran past the chimera and towards the Everfree forest, and there was a flumph-flumph sound as what sounded like all her animal friends came storming after her – most of them carrying some kind of admittedly cute outfits!
Fluttershy dodged between the trees, trying to figure out what was going on with all of her friends. Did someone pack something that disagreed with them? Suddenly a few moles popped out of the ground in front of Fluttershy, attempting to scoop her up into a sleeper. Fluttershy tripped, her front hooves slipping into the legs of the mole's sleeper. As the moles attempted to fit her hind legs into the suit, however, they were pushed aside by Angel, who was carrying a bunny suit with a rear just as puffy as the large fluffy tail at its end. Fluttershy's hind hooves slipped easily into the suit, but the squabble between the two animals caused her to wriggle free, running away as they jabbered at each other angrily.
Fluttershy's run became more of a waddle as the wide rear of the bunny sleeper (which now, somehow, had merged seamlessly to the front end of the mole's sleeper) spread her hind legs. Fluttershy tried to hide behind a tree as flock of birds whizzed by. Letting out a small sigh of relief, Fluttershy was about to continued heading away when several squirrels dropped out of the tree she was hiding behind. The Pegasus fought against the added layer, which merged once again with the others to give her a very fluffy tail in place of the rabbit's cottonball one before she managed to scurry away, her waddle slowing her down as more of the animals closed in on their chase.
Fluttershy tried to use her knowledge of the Everfree to get away from her pursuers, clambering up a small log and then using it to run along and get over a river, but the animals followed her without any difficulty – and, worse, the log seemed to be a lot more unstable than she remembered. Her waddling run didn't help, either, and she nearly fell in the river herself before making it to the far side.
Taking off into the woods in a hurry, she winced as the fluffy tail and puffy rump of her newly merged sleeper threw off most of her skill as an athlete – then that turned into an audible squeak as she tried to stop, missed her grip because of the sleeper's hoof-coverings, and slithered into a cave.
Squeaks surrounded her, from hundreds of bats, and she saw them unfurling a huge, poofy bat-sleeper. Or was it a bat-pony sleeper? She wasn't sure, and tried to get away before they got her into the sleeper, but she was only partly successful – by the time she left the cave, her right wing was covered in thick, plushy material which made it useless.
If she'd been in less of a panic, the naturalist could have appreciated the wonderfully stitched alar phalanges on the wing – but she was, so she just tried to avoid the horde of animals chasing her.
“Oh, this is terrible,” she said to herself quietly. “All these animals wanting to put me in their costumes… if they'd only asked, then maybe-”
A pair of eagles swept down on her as she came to a small cliff, and the unzipped back of an eagle sleeper loomed before her. She was too late to not jump, but managed to nearly miss – only one of her wings dipping into the sleeper, and when she landed there was a big, heavy-plush eagle wing across her left wing.
Now with a cushy rump, fluffy tail, two plushy wings and a puffy front, Fluttershy was finding it increasingly hard to move fast – but, for some reason, she was still able to move a little faster than the collection of animals. Some of them were moving faster than the others, but whenever she looked back they were just a little closer than the edge of her vision.
Then a big, glitter-sparkly Canis Minor loomed up in front of her.
Fluttershy squeaked with fright as she tried to skid to a halt. Her rear fell to the ground with a puff , her hooves scrambling to stop her sliding forward. The Canis Minor leaned down, his snout booping into Fluttershy's as she came to a stop. She gave a nervous grin up at the glittering celestial beast, patting its muzzle. "Uhm... nice, wolfy?" She tried. The wolf simply licked her, Fluttershy's mane folding up backwards from its tongue sliding along her. While she was dazed, the creature attempted to pull another sleeper over her head. It wasn't until the hood had come down and it was trying to force her legs into the appropriate sleeves that Fluttershy regained her senses. Standing up, she bolted, not noticing as the hood tore away from the sleeper to leave her with a sparkly hood, adorned with two fluffy ears to cover her own. Coming to a small cliff, Fluttershy tried to flap her suited wings, but it did nothing except cause several soft flumps of fabric against her side. She whimpered, looking over her shoulder to see the others gaining on her. In a desperate attempt to escape, Fluttershy reached up, hoisting herself up a few rocks away from the creatures. It wasn't too long before the sea of fluffy animals were below her, all clambering to try and suit her up as well. Fluttershy continued to climb higher, jumping off of the backs and heads of some of the animals as she did. "Oh, goodness, I'm sorry!" She cried with each jump, knocking a few of the smaller animals down onto the others. She reached the top of the cliff, and was just about to pull herself up onto it when a manticore leapt up, its suit fluttering in the breeze. It only just missed Fluttershy, one of the hind legs brushing up against her own. Despite her hoof never having entered the sleeper, the fabric melded together to give her a comically oversized lion paw and hind leg before the Manticore fell down, tumbling into the crowd of stuffed animals below. Fluttershy wriggled her wide rear as she scrambled to reach the top of the cliff, hoping she had finally managed to escape her pursuers.
Panting, the puffy-posterior pegasus rested on her rump for a few seconds, then got up and made her way away from the edge of the cliff. There was a cave in front of her, and that looked like it would help…
It was hard to stay silent, despite her best careful, meek tread as she waddled along. The slightest disturbance to the super-puffy rear of her suit made it make a crackly, crinkly sound, and to the jumpy Fluttershy it seemed as though the sound was loud enough to echo off the cave walls.
She glanced back to see if there were any animals following her with more costumes, but saw no sign of them – or, oddly enough, an exit.
“I must have gone around a corner...” she said to herself, feeling a little weak at the knees, and kept walking.
After a little longer, the cave began to slope steadily downwards. Fluttershy looked over her shoulder, looking past her puffy bat-wing to see if anything was following her.
When the floor of the tunnel abruptly turned smooth, her padded hoof in a plushy mole-paw came down on it as if it was normal stone – and promptly slipped, sending her tumbling over with a squeak and sliding down the long tunnel until she came to rest against a pile of small soft toys.
Barely had Fluttershy begun to stand up again when a large, soft-looking dragon advanced on her – carrying a large, soft-looking dragon sleeper with butterscotch fur and pink ridges.
It looked a lot like a dragon version of her, actually, and kind of cute – but after so long already, Fluttershy squeaked and tried to run for it. The dragon's tail came flicking out to pick her up, and Fluttershy wasn't able to move very fast – but the pegasus got turned around, and the dragon's grip on the sleeper slipped, so Fluttershy dropped on top of it as it landed on the other side of the cave.
This turned out to have another slide, and Fluttershy and the dragon sleeper slid deeper into the mountain as Fluttershy tried to pull her right front hoof out of the right front limb of the dragon costume.
Her efforts appeared fruitless, though, as despite all her tugging and yanking, all she succeeded in doing was pull the arm of the suit away from the rest of the dragon styled cloth. Her right hoof now bound in a thick, fluffy dragon claw, Fluttershy slid further down the smooth rock slide. Her rear bumped off a few rocks, bouncing the Pegasus up and down as she slid away. The rest of the dragon suit began snagged on the path, leaving Fluttershy slipping alone down the path.
Then, suddenly, with the sound like bouncing off a satin trampoline, Fluttershy fell into a dark cavern. She rebounded a few times, her rear crinkling as she did before coming to a rest on the peak of a very soft mound. Looking around, Fluttershy's hooves pressed into the ground as she tried to make out what it was she was standing on. Her hooves pressed into the soft material, which shifted a little and began to glow. The glow grew brighter and brighter, and it was quickly revealed Fluttershy was standing atop of the rear of a sleeping Ursa Minor. Seams ran along its belly and rear, each shift sounding like a pillow being fluffed. The large starry bear gumbled, its snores echoing around the room as it blinked, slowly waking up.
Fluttershy tried to remain still, but every little move of the Ursa below caused her to shift to keep her balance, only poking it more. The beast roared crankily, lifting its head up to look at the small thing standing on its rear. Fluttershy's legs shook as she stared down the monster, lowering herself to try to appear less threatening. Not that she really did in the first place, with her oversized rear and hodge-podge of fluffy animal parts making up her suit. The Ursa licked its lips, staring at Fluttershy as it grinned a bit, plush toothy grin. Fluttershy was about to jump off of its rear and try to run for an exit when a claw suddenly reached down and plucked her up by her tail. Wiggling about in the air, Fluttershy whimpered as the bear brought her closer and closer to its open mouth.
Dangling her over its plush maw, the bear released its grip and Fluttershy fell down into the plush interior of its belly. Starry walls squeezed in all around, massaging and pressing in on Fluttershy, silencing her squeaks of fright as she slipped down, down, down, into its seemingly bottomless fluffy belly. The Ursa yawned, curling back up as it prepared to fall back asleep after its midnight snack.
Back in her cottage, Fluttershy snuggled into her covers – her costume, a collection of animal parts so eclectic that it made her look like Discord's long-lost fluffy plushy cousin, making it so the blanket was barely big enough to cover her.
She shifted a little in her sleep, rolling over, and sighed without waking up.
Some miles away, Trixie Lulamoon – the Magus of Mirth, the Spellcaster of Spectacle, and a Performer who did Parties – trotted her way along a street on the outskirts of Poningham.
“Well, Trixie must admit – even to herself – that that was a good performance,” she said, a spring in her step. She was finally getting back into her groove – especially since, after some experiments, she'd discovered that she didn't even have to fictionalize her accounts of dealing with Twilight Sparkle to have a fine story!
Well, maybe she did tweak it. A little. It was still about the Alicorn Amulet, and the one who used it was still defeated – it was just not quite so clear who had used it.
Trixie's happy thoughts were interrupted by a strange, clothy sound.
“What was that?” she demanded, slowing to a halt. “Who disturbs Trixie?”
There was no reply, but the clothy sound came again. Trixie's horn flickered, and she sent a light spell out into the distance.
For a long moment, nothing moved. Then there was a sudden shake of a bush.
“Aha!” Trixie announced. “You cannot hide from the Cunning and Observant Trixie! Reveal yourself!”
Another shake of a bush. Then a head poked out – one about the same size as her entire body, and pointed, with a triangular muzzle and a pair of pointed ears all covered in dark fur.
Trixie spotted that the fur was interrupted by little glittering lights, and realization struck her – this was a star beast. Not one of the big ones – the Zodiacs – but still large enough to worry her.
Then it fixed its gaze on her, and came moving out of the bush with a sudden, flowing speed.
Trixie realized belatedly that there was just a long, hard brick wall on the other side of her – there was no easy escape, as the fox-like form of a Vulpecula came bounding up to her.
And yet, somehow, she noticed that it seemed to have seams .
Unfortunately, these realizations didn't help Trixie as her horn flared up in an attempt to push the Vulpecula away. Before her spell had managed to take full form, the star-fox leapt upon Trixie, opening its jaws wide. Trixie's startled yelps were quickly muffled by the clothy maw of the animal as it pounced onto her. It easily scooped Trixie up into its mouth, its cheeks bulging out comically as the fox gnawed upon the pony inside. Trixie would have found the feeling rather tickling had she not been worried about the passage at the back of the Fox's throat down to its plush stomach. One that she was being pushed to worringly quickly now that she noticed. With a large gulp, the Vulpecula swallowed Trixie down, a bulge sliding down its throat before landing softly in its gut, causing his belly to balloon outwards somewhat. Trixie wiggled around inside the fox's belly as it pat its gut. Then, with belch, Trixie's hat popped out of its jaws, landing on the ground in front of it. Curious, the Vulpecula sniffed at the hat before picking it up and placing it atop its own stuffed head and turning about, waddling back into the bushes as its meal squirmed about in his comfy gut.

Luna's inspiration manifestation
The Vulpecula went waddling off in the direction of another town, where a large barn sat amongst a field of apple trees. Inside the barn, an orange earth pony lay snoozing, having worked herself to sleep attempting to store the large barrels full of cider. The pony muttered to herself as she pulled her hat down over her eyes more, trying to get some rest.
In her dreams, Applejack was doing much the same thing as she'd been doing before falling asleep – though it was bright daylight, while she'd been working late at night before.
She pushed another barrel into place, nodding with satisfaction, and tapped it twice to hear the note and make sure it was still properly airtight.
“Good start, ah reckon,” she announced, and turned ready to move another barrel into place – when a familiar pair of voices made her stop and blink.
Then she groaned. “Ah, tarnation… ah'll have t' deal with those hornswogglers agin...”
Some way off, on the road outside Sweet Apple Acres – not quite on Apple land, but close – the two salesponies Flim and Flam were announcing to a crowd of Ponyville's ponies the virtues of their newest product.
“You'll realize you never could have done without it!” Flim said.
“And you'll do things you never realized you could!” Flam concurred. “The Miracle Suit is a true one-of-a-kind, marvellous, prototype, exclusive piece of the latest technology!”
“Fine-fitting!”
“Form-quality!”
The salesponies shared a look, then both smirked and went right back to their spiel.
“It's a diving suit! A protection suit!”
“A fashion statement! A space station!”
“It's the most wondrous garment Equestria's ever seen!”
Applejack came cantering up. “Now, hold it, all y'all! Ah thought ah told you that ah didn't want to see y'all around these here parts again!”
“Did she, Flim?” Flam asked.
“I don't recall, Flam,” Flim replied.
“There was something about the cider season and super squeezy,” Flam pondered. “But that's all water under the bridge!”
“Well, perhaps not,” Flim said. “After all, if she would do the honour of taking part in a demonstration, we won't charge her for the Cider Squeezy!”
Applejack was already feeling confused. “What?”
Flim waved a hoof dismissively, chuckling softly. "Now, now, you needn't be shy, there's nothing complicated to it at all! You simply put it on, and presto! The miracle suit works its magic!" The stallion wrapped a hoof around Applejack's neck, pulling her up onto the stage. The farmer pushed the salespony off of her, stepping back.
"Consarnit, just hold up! Charge me for the Cider Squeezy? You lost that competition fair and square, you were run outta town!" She shouted. Flam laughed, pulling Applejack in again, leaning into her a bit.
"Applejack, please, there's no need to come up with all these silly fabrications. You can see the famous Squeezy right over there!" Flam pointed towards the fields where Applejack could see Big Mac pouring a bucket of apples into the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, a barrel of cider quickly being made by the machine. Applejack stuttered for a bit, completely baffled by the sight. "B-but, I...?" Flam pushed Applejack towards the center of the stage, causing her to stumble about.
"Now, observe fine ponies, the wonders of the Durable Double Diapered Dirigible Miracle Suit!" Flim proclaimed. Before Applejack could react, she was surrounded in the emerald glow of Flim and Flam's magic, lifting her into the air as a smooth rubbery suit was pulled off of a nearby mannequin, floating over to her. Applejack struggled against the magic, kicking in the air as the back of the suit was unzipped. Her hooves slipped down into the sleeves, her tail flicking as she tried to avoid being suited up. Despite her struggles, however, she was quickly slipped in, leaving her standing center stage in a shiny, squeaky suit as the two salesponies stood beside her, grinning widely. "Now, how does that suit feel, my fine young pony? I should hope quite comfortable!"
“It don't!” Applejack replied quickly. “And it don't matter how it feels, this ain't right! Let me go!”
She felt a faint zrrrp up her back as the suit's zip was pulled. “Observe, how the Durable Double Diapered Dirigible Miracle Suit fits as snug as a vacuum seal! There's no risk or danger of losing your position, or your suit, no matter the position of the suit!”
Applejack was fairly sure that was Flim who'd just said that, and a moment later Flam took up the conversation. “Now that the suit's secure, we can demonstrate all the features! Firstly, the Durable Double Diapered Dirigible Miracle Suit is a fine diving suit! Flim, the pool!”
The unicorn used his magic with a flash, and suddenly there was a huge, transparent glass pool on the stage. It was full of something fizzy, something which wasn't water but which looked an awful lot like cider.
Flim and Flam began singing some kind of song or other about the suit, but Applejack couldn't care less. She sat down with a huff, and crossed her forelegs – staring at the Super Speedy Cider Squeezy 6000, trying to work out what was going on, until barely two seconds later the brothers reached the end of a verse.
And, with a joint telekinetic heave, they threw her into the cider.
There was a hiss as something inflated around her muzzle, providing her air to breathe and keeping her from drowning. A little cider filtered in, and Applejack snorted.
Faintly, though the glass wall and the cider, she could hear Flim and Flam talking about the outfit as a diving suit.
“Big jumps!”
“Long trips!”
“Deep dives!”
“From ships!”
They started talking about how the suit's internal buoyancy was set up to counteract her own, and Applejack had to admit that the durn thing did seem plenty easy to walk in underwater.
Then a magical tendril reached out and pulled the emergency ring just above her fetlock. The suit inflated hugely in just a moment, turning from a relatively slim diving suit into a hugely puffed-up suit with a big, puffy rear and hard-to-control limbs.
That darn song was still going, as Applejack blushed and tried to pretend she wasn't there.
Applejack wobbled in place, trying to keep her balance with her newly thickened suit. She took a few steps, her legs pressing into the belly of her suit and eliciting several soft squeaks as she did. Her hips swung left and right slowly in the cider as the suit spread her hind legs apart into an awkward stance. Looking through the front of the tank to see the two brothers performing some silly dance routine, Applejack started to move towards one end to attempt to pull herself up. Unfortunately, the top of the tank seemed much higher than it had been before. Bending her legs as much as she could in the suit, Applejack attempted to jump up, her arms flailing in an attempt to swim towards the surface. As she approached the edge of the tank, though, she suddenly felt something wrap around her tail. She had just enough time to glance down and see a comically oversized metal ball tied to her tail before she was tugged back downwards, her rear bouncing off of the floor of the tank and sending her sprawling onto her front.
Grumbling to herself, Applejack attempted to sit back up, wobbling on her rear as she did so. She reached down to tug at the chain wrapped around her tail to remove the ball, but it did nothing except jiggle it about.
“But a little extra weight’s not a bit of pain, just a few more puffs and you’ll be right as rain!”
Another magic tendril reached down and took a hold of the ring on Applejack’s suit. It tugged the string out, causing her suit to swell up even more, the belly and rear bulging out even further beyond the increase her limbs were subjected to. Rolling backwards from the force of the puff, Applejack wriggled her hooves helplessly. “Consarnit, let me outta this thing!” She yelled through the suit’s mask.
There was no particular sign that either pony had heard her, as they continued with their song-and-dance routine. It was a little hard to hear what was going on, but she definitely heard Flim say something about how the suit was so tough it could be used in space, and Flam mentioning that if it could do that you could go any place.
Applejack's main concern, however, was the increasing, swelling size of her suit. It was getting to the point where it was impossible for her to actually try again at removing the weighted metal ball, and all the bubbles in the cider made it look like the whole thing was leaking as well – but Applejack could tell it was anything but, as the inner layers of the suit squeezed her in a tight hug even as the outer layers expanded and stretched and squeaked. The pressure was rising, and the suit was growing.
Dimly, though the less-than-clear liquid, Applejack saw Flim and Flam passing out cider glasses. Then the cider in the vat began to pour over the edge in a fizzy cider-fall, and ponies began just holding their glasses up to collect some before drinking it.
“What in the-” Applejack said, then stopped and looked at her suit again.
The suit's bulk – especially the padded rear, inflating even faster than the rest and with only the weight on her tail preventing it from turning her upside down – was forcing the cider up and out of the vat!
“Consarn it, that there cider's expensive!” Applejack complained.
Applejack wriggled her legs as they were slowly engulfed by the swelling rear of her suit, limiting her movement even more. No matter how big and bulky her suit swelled up, the ball seemed to get just heavy enough to hold her down. The farmpony pressed down on the suit's belly with her hooves as best as she could as it started to stretch so large she couldn't see past it to where Flim and Flam were drinking up some of the cider-fall.
Had Applejack cared enough to pay attention to the showponies, she might have noticed they were getting a bit of sloshy pudge in their bellies as well. Applejack tried to tug on the ball once more in a vain attempt to loosen its grip when she felt the ring being tugged once again. Bigger and bigger her suit grew, squeezing in on her in an admittedly comfortable manner. Applejacks' limbs stuck out as the suit ballooned too large to allow her to move them beyond slight wiggles, the rump and gut still stretching bigger and bigger and bigger. The suit started to press into the sides of the tank, squeezing Applejack even tighter as she grunted and grumbled to herself. She began to sink into the suit, her vision obscured by the rubber expanding around her. Then she felt two weights press down even more on her suit, her head trying to turn to spot the source. The two sloshy showponies were now bouncing upon Applejack's suit, singing praises of unbreakable seals and limitless puffiness as the poor trapped earth pony could do nothing but squirm in the ever tightening embrace of the suit.
As they bounced, Flim and Flam discussed all the wonderful things about the Durable Double Diapered Dirigible Miracle Suit. How it had features galore, plenty and more, and that it was comfy and bouncy so you'd not be sore.
The bouncing and sloshing was a continuous sound now, and then both showponies stopped their song and turned to another topic.
“But Flim, do you know what we've missed?”
“Why, no, Flam! What have we missed?”
“Why, simply the most important thing about a fine piece of engineering!” Flam explained.
“Like th' off switch?” Applejack mumbled.
“It's so simple only a foal could miss it!” Flim agreed.
“So obvious to anypony who listens!”
“It's Durable, it's Double, it's Diapered... and it's Dirigible!” they chorused, each big-D accompanied by a double bounce which made the whole D.D.D.D.M.S ripple.
Applejack was about to ask what that could mean, when the suit began to swell all over again. It left the vat with a pop, and rather than bouncing down the hillside it instead began to rise into the air – slowly, held down by the big ball, but allowed to rise as the rope tied to the ball stretched like elastic.
The farm-pony tried to get out of her predicament, but there was nothing to buck – no solid surface to hit – and every movement just set her blimp-like suit shaking and wobbling again, adding to the bouncing and bounding from the two oversized salesponies on her back.
Flim bounced over to one of her flanks, and Flam did the same to the other. They activated little controls, and great big posters draped themselves across Applejack's flanks with a rustling sound – and, somehow, Applejack knew just what they were.

Applejack wobbled and twisted in the air, a blush crossing her face as she imagined all the ponies staring at her swollen rear and advertisement. And still the two stallions sang, endlessly gloating about the wonders of their products, leaving Applejack stuck listening to their boastfulness. At least they did manage to make the suit comfy.
A large balloony suit bounced off the ceiling of the barn, an exhausted farmhand burying her muzzle in the puffiness of the belly as she floated in the air, her rear showing off a picture of the two FlimFlam brothers winking.
Briefly, Applejack’s subconscious drifted off to imagine when a particular baby dragon had left her in a similar predicament from a pair of bellows.
The dragon in question was rolling over in his own bed, mumbling in his sleep a little as he explored his dreamscape.
“How deep is this cave? I didn’t think Rarity would usually go this far down to find gems…” Spike wandered through a dark maze-like cave, his steps echoing through the tunnels as he tried to find his way around. He raised the lamp he was carrying a bit higher, hoping the light would reveal a way out. He noticed a few more tunnels branching off from his own, causing Spike to stop in place. Left… or, maybe it was right? He gulped, trying not to admit to himself that he was lost. As he looked between the tunnels, he noticed a soft glimmer far off in the distance at the end of one. Hoping it was sunlight, Spike began to hurry towards it, glancing behind him nervously in case anything was sneaking up behind him.
Despite his fears, nothing showed up out of the darkness – though it did occasionally seem as though a pair of eyes was watching him. Spike even shot out a burst of flame at one point, seeing nothing, and then had a brief chuckle at the idea of a monster appearing in Princess Celestia's room.
A little calmer now, he followed the glimmer for another minute or two – then, slowly, decided that that didn't seem to be like sunlight. It had to be something else.
Then he turned the corner, and stared.
There was a huge pile of gems! Piled up in a heap in the middle of what must be the largest single cave down here!
The sight of them was awe-inspiring, and Spike stared for a minute or so – then realized that it was just making him feel hungry. He'd been down here for... for... some amount of time, and he was feeling hungry, and there were all these gems...
“I should tell Rarity about them,” Spike said to himself. “That's the right thing to do.”
He made to turn around, to see if there was another route to the surface, then stopped.
“But... there's so many here,” he told himself. “It's not like she'd know if there was one or two missing...”
He licked his lips, and took a step closer to the hoard of gems. They seemed to be glowing with their own internal light, which was how the cavern was so well lit, and he picked one of the rubies up before swallowing it in a single bite.
The texture felt odd. Not hard at all, not like most gems – but the taste was amazing. It was like the best things about a ruby, all concentrated into one surprisingly soft-textured super-ruby!
Spike couldn't help but let out a soft moan as he savored the flavor, quickly stuffing another gem into his mouth. He let out a soft burp, blushing afterwards and chuckling to himself. He reached out for a deep blue sapphire, licking his lips as he held it in his claws. It reflected his face, practically begging to be gobbled up. It was such a beautiful gem, a true masterwork of crystallization, or whatever it was that Twilight said made gems form. Spike didn't really care much about how the gems came to be, just how he could get them into his gut. Which he promptly did as he stuffed yet another surprisingly squishy gem into his mouth.
Chewing happily, he rested his claws on his belly again, not noticing how it protruded slightly further out than it did a few minutes before. Letting out another burp, Spike shook his head, trying to compose himself. "Ooof, that's probably enough." He turned to try and find his way out, but something was calling to him. Looking back over his shoulder, Spike looked at the pile of glowing, enticing, shiny, perfectly made gemstones. Well... he really hadn't had that many... and he was nowhere near full. He'd probably fill up on just a few more, then he can go and get Rarity. Waddling over to the pile, Spike picked up an armful of gems, staring down at their shiny surfaces.
This time, Spike told himself that he was only going to have the best ones – the ones which would be worth the time – so he began to examine each gem closely.
The first one looked delicious, with perfect inclusions that gave it a glittery feel, and he put that one in the Eat pile before moving on to the second one – a fine, shimmering garnet which had perfect edges even though it felt squidgy.
That one went in the Eat pile as well – and so did the next, and the next, until the Eat pile was almost as tall as Spike and there wasn't a Don't Eat pile at all.
Spike plucked one of the gemstones from the Eat pile and began nibbling on it while he examined the next one. Then he ate that one as well, then two more, and sped up until he was pushing gems into the Eat pile without even looking so he could eat them more quickly.
As he did, he got bigger – plumper, even fatter as the gems filled his tummy, but also swelling up in a general way. All these lovely, softly squishy gems were His, and that meant he had a big hoard – a big hoard for a big dragon! And so he had to keep eating, because the faster he ate through his pile the more he could add to the Eat pile and the bigger his hoard would grow!
The gems he was looking at were larger now, and Spike noticed that almost all the pile was made up of jewels larger than he'd already eaten.
“Shouldn't have started on the little ones,” Spike mumbled, in between mouthfuls. “Now I'll have to eat some more to make up for it.”
With the next mouthful, his belly plumped up a little more and his body grew a bit… and every gemstone did as well, swelling a bit faster than the preoccupied dragon.
Spike continued to eat and eat and eat and eat and eat. His belly swelled outwards, spreading his legs a bit as he had to waddle around the gems, each clawful causing a few more to tumble down as the pile lost its support. Stuffing himself fuller, Spike placed a claw on his growing belly to feel it stretch outwards, his tail flicking happily as it plumped up along with his rear. He was starting to lose his balance as he grew fatter and larger, and it didn't help that each time he picked up a gem, it seemed to be a bit bigger than before. Some he could only just fit into his mouth, but those were the absolute finest of them all. The gems just seemed to be getting tastier and tastier, they were indescribably good! Spike wobbled on one of his feet, waggling his arms for a moment before he fell forwards into the pile of jewels. Insread of several tough pokes and prods from the hard stones he was expecting, it felt like he was falling onto a pile of pillows. Spike sighed as it bounced on the soft gems, rolling over onto his back so his belly stuck up into the air while he scooped up more gems. More and more he ate, his belly stretching further and further above him, Spike loving every single bite.
Eventually, Spike noticed that he was surrounded in gemstones – above, below, all sides. They were like huge, springy sculptures, each one larger than he was even though he felt like a very full dragon, but he didn't care – there was lovely, tasty, comfy food literally everywhere he looked!
It was no longer possible to eat a gemstone with just one bite, and it took plenty of steady bites by now, but that was just fine by Spike – that gave him more time to savour the flavour, and snuggle up against the very gem he was eating…
As Spike yawned, snuggling in his sleep into a huge pile of plushy gem-pillows stacked so high they were close to falling on Twilight, some distance away a unicorn slumbered in her sleeping bag under a convenient branch.
As usual, Starlight Glimmer's thoughts were bitter – focused on the ponies who had rejected her – and her dreams were no different. In her mind, she was cantering through the woods around Our Town. Her cutie mark exposed, she revealed for what she was, and she knew deep down that the angry citizens were after their revenge.
Twigs cracked beneath their hooves, coming from several directions, and Starlight hesitated – not sure where to go or how to get away. She picked her direction, but a moment later nearly ran over an ebon-furred filly.
“Hey!” she protested, stumbling. “What did you-”
The filly was gone.
Then Party Favor came crashing through the bushes, and Starlight stared.
He was… big – bigger than before. And he looked… odd. Like he was made of some kind of artificial material.
"There you are, we've been looking all over for you!" He smirked, bending down and wiggling his rump in the air. Starlight was too hypnotized by the strange crinkly noises that emanated from the large pony to react before Party Favor pounced upon her, rolling over on the ground as he squeezed Starlight into his chest. Starlight squirmed in his grip, pressing against his chest as she did and noting how much softer his coat appeared to be. The large unicorn stood up, still keeping Starling pinned into him with one hoof as two more large figures appeared from out of the bushes. Double Diamond and Sugar Belle trotted up, looking just as strangely puffy as Party Favor did.
“Hey, I see you got our naughty little foal!” Double Diamond said, smirking down at the tiny unicorn. Starlight glared up at him, her horn flaring up as she teleported out of Party Favor’s grip. Unfortunately, when she landed, she was now standing on top of Sugar Belle’s back, wobbling unsteadily.
“Quick!” Double Diamond pounced upon Sugar Belle, squishing Starlight between the two puffy ponies. She vaguely registered an odd scent… was it foal powder? The ponies fell to the ground with a flump, Party Favor quickly joining in on the pile.
“Heehee, oooh, don’t think you’re getting away that easily!” He grinned widely, levitating a familiar staff in his magic.
Starlight wasn't able to see what was going on, but she suddenly felt a zap of magic, her body going stiff as she felt an odd tingling sensation course through her body. She tried to squirm, but was unable to move as the ponies she was pinned under shifted about.
The tingling sensation pulsed through her, like whole-body pins and needles, then focused in on her flank for a moment. Starlight winced, ready for the pain of Cutie Mark Removal, but then instead there was… something else. It didn't feel painful, but it felt odd.
Then it stopped.
“All done!” Double Diamond announced.
“What have you done?” Starlight demanded. “What was that?”
“Oh, silly...” Party Favor said, patting her on the muzzle with a crinkly hoof. “Little foals like you don't get to have cutie marks!”
“Foals!?” Starlight asked. “But – well, I'm smaller – but no, I'm not a foal!”
“Aww...” Sugar Belle cooed. “She thinks she's a grown up mare!”
There was a crinkly sound from her rear as Sugar Belle tapped something. “Well, if you're really a grown mare, you'll get to keep your cutie mark. But if you're really a foal, then you'll be just like the rest of us!”
Sugar Belle and Double Diamond kept Starlight pinned between their crinkly, poofy rumps, but Party Favor backed off a bit and patted that crinkly thing on Starlight's rear again.
“A diaper?” she demanded, thrashing about and only making her twin rump-shaped half-prisons shift back and forth with a rustle that made it clear what they were made of. “I don't want or need a diaper!”
Party Favor's reply was to consider her carefully, then abruptly move in. He began to tickle her mercilessly, and despite her best efforts the unicorn was soon laughing.
“Wha-hahahah, s-s-stop that! I c-can’t breeheheeehee!” Starlight laughed as she was tickled by Party Favor, the crinkly, puffy material he was made of only making his pokes and prods even worse. Sugar Belle and Double Diamond continued to rub their rears together, squishing Starlight even more to make it harder for her to gasp for breath. As she kicked and squirmed, pressing against her captor’s rumps, she faintly heard a soft hiiisssss filling the air. Too distracted by the large diaper critters, Starlight didn’t realize the sound came from her own padding as it began to swell from her wetting it. It greeeeew around her rear, puffing up her belly slightly as she wiggled about inside it.
Party Favor stepped back, smiling smugly as Starlight gasped for breath, flopping down to the ground as the others released her from their rump’s grasp. Starlight rolled back onto her rear… only to notice the resulting squish from her diaper. Looking down at her diaper, her face grew a bright red as she noticed her cutiemark printed on it had already faded slightly. Starlight immediately stood back up, stumbling back as she tried to tug at her diaper. “Get this thing off of me! I do not need a diaper!”
“Well it sure looks like you do to me!” Sugar Belle teased, poking Starlight’s rear with her hoof. “Besides, you look sooooo cute! I bet this silly little foal would just love a big bottle of chocolate milk~” Sugar Belle produced an oversized bottle out of seemingly nowhere, scooping Starlight up into her forelegs as she plopped down onto her own puffy rear.
“Stop it!” Starlight protested, cheeks flaming. “I don't – but – hey!”
Her diaper let out another crinkle-squish as she struggled, but Sugar Belle's crinkly body was hard to get any kind of traction on. The diaper-critter mare just cooed over her, and waved the large bottle of milk in front of Starlight's face.
Realizing there was at least one way she could resist this situation, Starlight closed her muzzle and shook her head.
“Party, can you help?” Sugar asked. “I think the little foal's cranky and misbehaving!”
Party Favor nodded, and began to tickle again. Starlight pressed her lips together, but after less than half a minute she began to laugh again – and in went the nipple of the bottle, together with a squeeze so some of the sweet, chocolatey milk went into Starlight's mouth.
“Mmmph...” Starlight protested, reaching up with her forehooves to try to push the bottle away, but she was already starting to suckle almost automatically. The rich milk tasted amazing, and it was hard for her to concentrate past wanting more and more of the milk as quickly as possible.
Sugar Belle began bouncing up and down gently, making her material tremble a little, and making sound from Starlight's own diaper consisting of an orchestra of crinkles and squishes.
Time felt odd, and Starlight had no idea how long she'd been drinking. But the bottle was nearly finished when she suddenly felt a familiar sensation – she needed the bathroom.
“Aww, look!” Double Diamond said, pointing. “She's trying to do a potty dance, but she forgot she's wearing the potty!”
Starlight pushed against the bottle, squeezing her legs together to try and keep herself from wetting again. This only seemed to make things worse as she felt her padding bulge from the squeezings, squishing and crinkly some more. Starlight whiiiiined, bouncing in place as all three large ponies coddled her. Double Diamond pressed down on the front of her diaper, pressing and mushing her padding as she tried to fight the urges building in her pampers. It wasn’t too long before the hiss filled the air again and Starlight’s padding bulged out even more, bloating bigger and bigger. Starlight’s face turned a deep crimson as the bulb of the bottle was removed from her mouth, Sugar Belle nuzzling her softly. “Such a silly little foal we have!” She giggled.
The pattern on Starlight’s diaper grew even fainter, the padding swelling bigger and bigger. The diaper creeped further up her belly, wrapping more and more of her tail up as the crinkly material spread across her body. Party Favor took Starlight back as her padding grew, placing her on the front of his own padding-like body. He began to bounce Starlight in place, only making her wet more as she whimpered and squirmed, the material spreading more, growing thicker and thicker as she was teased. “S-s-staaaahp! P-please!” Starlight said, trying to break free from Party Favor’s grip. Double Diamond giggled and booped Starlight’s muzzle.
“Such a silly foal, looks like she’s going to be a big bouncy crinklebutt soon!”
“But I don't want to be a crinklebutt!” Starlight whined, finding it harder to think straight as emotional reactions surged in on her. She shook her head, waving a foreleg around to try and hit Double Diamond for teasing her, but the glancing blow she did score just resulted in a crinkly sound as she nose-booped him in turn.
“Such a cutie!” Party Favor giggled. “Aww… does the wittle filly sound cranky to you, Sugar Belle?”
Sugar Belle made a show of examining Starlight, making sure to pat her diaper repeatedly and make it squish with every pat. “I think she's just a little cranky,” the mare agreed. “We should probably put her down for a nap after this – but I know just what to cheer her up!”
Starlight tried to cudgel her confused brain into shape, crossing her hind legs as best she could – not much – as Sugar Belle moved a little closer.
“I'm going to...” Sugar Belle began, then left in a long pause. Starlight recognized the tactic, but she couldn't stop it working – she frowned, nervous about what Sugar Belle might do.
Then the mare pounced, and blew a raspberry on Starlight's tummy – just above the top of her diaper.
The experience was such a surprise that Starlight started to laugh with surprise – blushing as she reacted like a little filly, giggling and trying to squirm out of the way.
She shook her head as Sugar Belle came in again. “N-no, stop-”
Another raspberry. This one made her squeak, and then she realized to her shock that she was wetting her diaper again.
This time, the diaper soaked it in and plumped up faster than it had before. The cutie mark vanished completely, and the padding expanded so everything it had already covered was thicker and harder to move. Not content with that, it then moved all the way up her body, encasing her completely in a crinkly, padded suit made to look just like her.
Starlight gasped for breath after the tickling from Sugar Belle's raspberry, wiggling in her new plump crinkly suit. She giggled as she stood up in her puffy suit, bouncing her rump into the others. They began to wander off, their bodies crinkling cutely as they waddled through the forest, a little black filly snickering as she watched the newly puffed up pony wandered off.
The black filly’s horn lit up as a portal appeared in the dreamscape. The filly jumped through, puffing back into her adult Nightmare form, wandering through the world of each pony’s dreams. She felt Luna wriggle around slightly inside her, making her snicker and pat her belly. “My my, you’re quite squirmy tonight widdle Woona~ Don’t you worry, I’ll get you some new friends soon. I’m sure all my foals have had some time to be properly padded up by now.”
Nightmare’s horn flared again as the dreams swirled around them, sweeping through as she searched for a dream. She found herself looking into Twilight’s dream where the alicorn was hurriedly scrawling away at a test, padding swelling under her rear. This should be very fun. Nightmare grinned as she stepped into Twilight’s dream, her magic beginning to flow through Twilight’s subconscious.
“I’m very disappointed, Twilight. I really thought you would have done better on this test,” Cheerilee said. Twilight whined, sitting atop a puffy number as she squeezed a plush plus sign. “I’m afraid I’ll have to take you to the principal’s office.”
“The Principal's office?” Twilight repeated. “But – but...”
She looked down, blushing. “Yes, Miss.”
It took her three tries to get up, her thick diaper making her clumsy, and she started to trot before pausing. Turning back to her desk, she picked up the plus-plush and carried it with her as she waddled through the Magic Kindergarten behind Cheerilee.
The whole building was full of other fillies and colts, diapered up just as thickly as she was, and occasionally one of them pointed at her and whispered to another – then they both giggled, making her feel dreadfully embarrassed.
“Stop it…” she said, shaking her head, then tried to keep her head down and keep waddling.
After a few minutes, they finally reached the door to the office, and Cheerilee pushed it open. “Sorry to disturb you, Ma'am.”
“And who's this?” the Principal asked, from behind her desk – Twilight couldn't quite see who it was.
“Twilight Sparkle, Ma'am,” Cheerilee replied.
“Ah, Twilight Sparkle,” the Principal repeated, as Cheerilee left. “I heard about this. Apparently you… failed a test.”
Twilight blanched.
“Sorry, Ma'am! I mean, sorry Miss?” she said, cringing. “But I – I mean – I didn't know these topics were even on the test! I expected multiple-choice! I forgot my notes!”
“Now, now, Twilight Sparkle,” the Principal said. “You need to learn to stop making excuses.”
Twilight’s ears flopped down as she looked down at the floor, giving her plus a squeeze. “I-I’m sorry…”
“It’s alright, but I do believe you’re going to need to review, these are very important topics for any filly to know. But I think I can help you with that.” The principal turned around in her chair, revealing herself to be Nightmare Moon, leaning forward onto the desk. Twilight gasped, taking a step backwards but plopping down onto her rear as she lost her balance.
“N-N-Nightmare! What, this doesn’t make sense, you can’t be-!” She was cut off as Nightmare pushed a hoof into her muzzle, shushing her. Twilight noticed her hoof was a bit softer than it should be. And there were seams running along her belly, which was pudgy enough to press into the desk as Nightmare sat back in her chair.
“Oh, I know why you’re confused, any pony that would fail a test like that would be easily confused. Don’t you worry, though, we’ll have to knowing everything in no time. Now,” Nightmare’s desk and chair puffed away as she stood up in front of Twilight. “Which of these pampers is the thickest?” Nightmare asked as she began to write down brands on a chalkboard that appeared on the wall.
“Wha-huh?” Twilight blinked. “How is this… what?”
Nightmare tutted. “Twilight, if you don't concentrate you're going to need to keep coming to remedial, and it'll go on your permanent record!”
Twilight gulped at the threat to her permanent record – something that scared her more than almost anything else – and tried to concentrate. “Uh, okay… I guess Cushies sounds kind of thick? But I don't have any data.”
“This is why you need to do remedial,” Nightmare told her. “Now, Cushies feel like this-”
There was a sudden floomph , as Twilight's thick triple-stacked diaper changed all at once. The change made Twilight fall backwards with a squeak, and she landed on her back before rolling back over onto her front.
“Oopsie, baby fall down go boom?” Nightmare teased. “And these are Mythies.”
There was another floomph as the diapers got thicker, making Twilight blush hotly.
“Which are thicker?”
“The Mythies are!” Twilight answered. “They're thicker!”
“That's much better,” Nightmare praised, patting Twilight on the head as she got to her hooves. “Now, these are All-Nights.”
The diapers which appeared now were so thick that Twilight's legs trembled for a moment, then she slumped down onto her rump again with a blush.
They went through three or four more diaper types, switching back and forth more than once, and Nightmare asked questions constantly. Which was warmer? More comfortable? Harder to remove?
“Trick question,” Nightmare told her, after that one. “Fillies aren't allowed to take off their own diapers!”
Then Nightmare put her back in the thickest of the lot – Super Clouds – and brought out a bottle of normal white milk and another of chocolate milk.
“Let's see if you can tell which of these is sweeter!”
Twilight took a sip of one bottle, feeling very small and embarrassed, and then another sip. She switched to the other, and quickly had her answer… but it was too tasty, so she kept drinking.
Her bladder gave her a warning pang, but she barely noticed.
She drank some more, rocking a little on her thick diapers. Suckle after suckle after suckle, she wiggled in place as Nightmare puffed away the other bottle. "I suppose that's a definite answer. You certainly are a fast learner, Twilight."
Twilight snapped back to attention, glancing down at the bottle. Her face turned a bright red as she stopped her suckling. But… it was a very sweet milk, maybe a few more suckles wouldn’t hurt. But before she could, Nightmare pulled the bottle away, leaving Twilight whining a bit.
“Aw, poor widdle baby wants her baba? Well, this leads rather nicely into our next lesson.” Her horn puffed up as several pacifiers appeared in the air in front of Twilight. “Now, which of these pacifiers is the cutest?” Nightmare asked. Twilight’s muzzle scrunched as she looked at the array of pacifiers in front of her. Despite the odd urge to suckle that she was now experiencing, Twilight was reluctant to pick out one. “Come now, Twilight, this isn’t a hard question. I’d say there’s no wrong answer!” Nightmare teased, pinching Twilight’s cheek with her magic.
Twilight grunted a little, leaning back, but only far enough that she didn’t flop back from the thickness of her pampers again. “I… uh… that one?” She pointed out a pacifier that was the same colors as the highlights in her hair, and before she could react it was popped into her mouth, Nightmare puffing the others away.
“A good choice, indeed!” Nightmare said, patting Twilight on the front of her diaper. It was when Nightmare’s hoof pushed down into her puffy padding that Twilight noticed her aching bladder, and her eyes went wide. She wobbled in place, squeezing her legs together as she tried to keep herself from wetting her padding. “Hmm… perhaps we should have potty dance lessons now?”
Twilight shook her head, blushing, trying to hold her bladder – to do anything to avoid soaking her diaper.
But she'd drunk so much of the bottle that it was a losing battle, and she began twitching back and forth in her desperation.
“Aww...” Nightmare cooed. “Looks like you are trying to do a potty dance!”
Twilight squeaked at the reminder, and stopped – then realized how foolish an idea that was a moment later, as her bladder finally let go.
The thick padding she was wearing soaked it all up, puffing up and becoming squishy and soggy, and Twilight fell backwards to land on it with a thump and a squish and a blushy, embarrassed sigh.
“That's much better!” Nightmare told her, picking her up and giving her a snuggle. The warm, fuzzy material Nightmare seemed to be made of was oddly soporific and comfy, making her yawn, and she blinked a couple of times before snuggling in a little.
Nightmare laid her down in a crib which Twilight could swear hadn't been there a few minutes ago, but she was so sleepy and worn out that she didn't even care.
Chuckling over the sight of Twilight sleeping in her sleep, Nightmare spared a thread of her attention to check the outside world and confirm that it wasn't just in the dream that Twilight was soggy.
“Let's go and look at how that Pink Party pony's doing next~” she said, and reached for her power to travel between dream worlds again.
Meanwhile, a certain mythological creature tribute act was dancing his way through his own dream.
“Hey,” Discord said, shrugging. “It's something to do.”
Then he looked down, seeing a plaid-patterned diaper around his waist.
“This doesn't seem right!” he announced. “Get me the front desk! I think I'm in the wrong story!”
The plaid-patterned diaper began to puff up, air hissing into it as it extended along and conformed to his body, and the lower half became a long, patterned tail with a flute-pipe at the end. More pipes appeared along the back ridge of the puffy plaid material as it spread up his torso to his neck, and a cheery circus music began to play.
“Gah, I’m not joking, this isn’t supposed to be happening! Where’s the author? I need a stern talking with- mmpphh!” Discord let out a soft moan as the padding began to pulse as it swelled, squeezing down on him as it grew, the plaid pattern stretching up and out and up and out as black pipes magically flowed down over the Draconequess’s legs. He tried to tug on the diaper as it grew, wrapping up his tail with a red rope as another pipe grew out of the end. The strange hypnotic tune continued, Discord starting to dance around against his will. He waggled his rear back and forth as the material swelled up around his chest. His rump ballooned out, the suit causing him to bounce upon his rear as the tune continued.
“Curse you, padding, I’m not supposed to be the one getting caught!” He grunted as his arms were wrapped up in more pipes, and it wasn’t too long before his head was surrounded by a grinning pipe dragon head, Discord trapped in his jaws. With a snap, the dragon shut his jaws, licking his lips as he patted his huge bouncy belly, feeling Discord wriggle around as he was squeezed inside him.
“Well, that was fun! I do hope you didn’t mind the little interlude, Discy~”

Pinkie Pie was bouncing upon her squeaky balloon diaper as her belly grew out. She was quite pudgy from all the sweets she had been stuffed with. Big and soft, like a fat pink pillow on top of a rubbery cushion! Not that Pinkie minded at all, this dream was far too fun!
There was a knock at the door.
“Oop!” Pinkie giggled. “Sorry, customer-type pony! I'll be with you in a bit, and… wait.”
She crossed her forelegs, still bouncing up and down. “How does that work? This is a dream, and I didn't dream any customers!”
The door opened anyway, and Nightmare stepped through with eyebrows raised. “A lucid dreamer? Interesting.”
“Heey, I know you!” Pinkie said, pointing a hoof at Nightmare. “You're the evil Black Sooty! I bet you've come to take away my fun!”
“Not at all,” Nightmare replied. “Just keep bouncing away… I've just got a few suggestions for your sweets and pastries!”
She began conjuring foods out of thin air, and piling them onto a plate to levitate over to Pinkie.
“Wow!” Pinkie giggled, taking one of the pastries and eating it in a single bite. “Maybe I guessed wrong, Bad Sooty! You're more of a Good Sweety!”
She ate another, and then another, and had some of the cupcakes as well, then switched to some of the bars of chocolate. Then she had a slice of big cake, and was about to move on when she frowned.
“Hey… I feel kind of funny...”
“You do?” Nightmare asked. “Well, maybe you'd better wash it all down with a drink of hot cocoa!”
Pinkie took the mug in both hooves, somehow managing to do that while bouncing and without spilling a single drop.
As she did, however, Nightmare's horn flashed, and the outfit Pinkie was wearing got thicker and crinklier – more restrictive, harder to get out of and comfier to wear.
Pinkie slurped out the last of the hot cocoa, a mustache of whipped cream across her face. She giggled as she licked herself clean. As she placed the now empty mug on her padding, she noticed how the padding seemed to have sucked her in a bit more, not to mention a silly tutu wrapped around her waist. “Heeeeeeeey, I wasn’t looking this silly a second ago! I mean, not that looking silly is all that bad, but I like to know when I’m going to look sillier!” She watched as Nightmare walked around her balloony diaper, pressing it a few times to elicit a few squeaks from the material.
“Nonsense, I haven’t done a thing! A dreamer such as yourself must have just made things even more fun. And I have to say, you certainly look like you’re having fun.” Nightmare responded. She leaned into the diaper, pressing her entire body into it. Pinkie giggled as she felt the air shift around from Nightmare’s pushing, her mouth stuffed fuller with some more sweets as she did.
“Heehee, well, if I wanted something sillier than this, I could do that! This is easy peasy silliness, not professional silliness!” Pinkie concentrated, imagining her padding even bigger, a silly bow wrapped around her mane along with some puffy booties on her hooves. She bounced in place as Nightmare leaned further into her padding, looking like she was ready to fall into the puffy rubber at any second.
“I don't think that's quite silly enough,” Nightmare said. “After all, this diaper isn't even as big as this room – let alone as big as all of Ponyville!”
“All of Ponyville?” Pinkie gasped. “That is silly!”
Then Nightmare slipped backwards into the diaper, vanishing through the side of the rubbery material.
Pinkie blinked. “What just happened? Black Sooty, are you okay?”
There was a snatch of Evil Laughter, and then the diaper began to expand – faster and faster, pushing Pinkie against the ceiling with a surprised yelp.
Wisps of starry nebula came puffing out of the seams as the diaper's pressure expanded, pressing in on Pinkie more and more as it pressed outwards more and more, until the whole building exploded and Pinkie's diaper shot instantly to the size of a great big castle.
Pinkie herself was completely lost in the puffy, silly bulk, the booties and bow and the tutu all pressed into her by the diaper-material which seemed to surround her completely.
The wisps of star-smoke condensed into Nightmare's plushy form, and she beeped Pinkie's nose. “Now that is silly.”
Then she vanished again.
Pinkie giggled, then got ready to shrink the diaper back down.
Nothing happened.
Then she tried to wake up, and nothing happened then either.
“Oopsie...” she blushed. “I think I might have not thought this through...”
Rarity sucked her pacifier, groaning as she bounced from the ceiling wrapped almost completely in the crinkly, plushy 'naughty' foal clothing. Her diaper squished with every bounce, blush-inducing and cringe-making, and she tried not to remember how she'd made it all herself.
Then the doorbell rang, and Rarity's embarrassment got if anything even worse.
Rarity wiggled in her bouncer, trying desperately to free herself. The door knob turned and the door creaked open to reveal Rarity's commissioner standing in the doorway. They reached up to flip the hood off of their head, Nightmare stepping into the boutique. Rarity's eyes widened as she bounced in place, desperately tugging on her restraints to try and free herself. "Well, well, it looks like my outfit came out absolutely perfectly." Nightmare walked around Rarity, examining her from every available angle. She reached down to pat at Rarity's rear, noting how squishy her diaper was. "Ooh, but it looks like this silly foal had a bit of an accident. Don't worry, I'll get you into a fresh diaper.~"
Rarity looked over her shoulder at Nightmare, not sure if she was willing to believe what she had just heard. Her struggles relaxed as Nightmare’s magic surrounded her, a few of the restraints unlocking to allow her to be lifted out of the harness. Rarity kicked as she was hovered over to a changing table where Nightmare had puffed a thick diaper onto the front. It was even thicker than her outfit already was, a bright purple covered in stars. Despite its thickness, Rarity let out a huff of air. Any thick padding was better than a wet pair. To her surprise, though, rather than begin to undo the straps on Rarity’s rear, Nightmare plopped the unicorn down on to the diaper, immediately beginning to wrap the thick diaper around Rarity’s outfit.
“Mmfff!” Rarity protested, trying to struggle the best she could. “Mmmm!”
“Hm?” Nightmare asked, then gasped. “Oh! I'm so sorry! You're right, I completely forgot!”
She reached for a big bottle of foal powder and puffed it out onto the diaper, then taped it in place. The sheer bulk of the diaper was unbelievable, and Rarity found herself sitting high in the air even though she should have been on the table.
“Much better!” Nightmare said, patting the front of the diaper. “Now everypony who looks at you will know I'm taking care of you!”
She pressed on Rarity's diaper again to make it crinkle, and then picked up a bottle of milk. Rarity frowned, wondering if this would mean her pacifier would be taken out, but then discovered that the pacifier itself had a special slot in it – one which Nightmare promptly placed the bottle of milk into. The bulb of the pacifier began to leak out creamy milk, and Rarity started suckling on it automatically.
“There we go,” Nightmare cooed. “Now you're all set!”
She picked Rarity up in her magic, and put her right back in the bouncer again.
“Now, be good and don't run away,” she warned the unicorn – not that Rarity had a hope of leaving. “I'll be back in a few days to check on you~”
Rarity bounced in place, suckling on the bottle as Nightmare left, the unicorn’s dream dissolving away behind her.
Rainbow Dash rolled around in the thick diaper as she was carried back from the stadium to the Wonderbutts academy, thoroughly enjoying the comfy ride. She gave a wistful sigh, wishing she could have stayed in her field sized padding, but considering how she couldn’t move in it, let alone fit in the academy, she supposed she’d just have to live with it. Besides, Spitfire said she had something special planned when she got back. Dash flopped onto her front, wiggling her padded rear excitedly as she imagined what she was in for. A new routine rehearsal? More puffy outfits to admire? Anything for her Wonderbutt idols!
There was a rustle as her diaper was dropped onto the ground, falling open as Dash stood up, posing dramatically. “The world-star mascot has returned!” She gloated. It wasn’t until a minute later did she realize she was alone in the room, aside from the large padding. Dash dropped back onto all four hooves, looking around. “Uuh, guys? Soarin? Anypony here?” Rainbow Dash took a step into the room, only to hear a voice bark from behind her.
“And where do you think you’re going, Dash?”
Rainbow Dash turned around to see Nightmare Moon standing tall behind her, dressed in Wonderbutts themed military jacket and hat, smirking smugly down at the mascot.
“N-Nightmare?” Dash asked. “What are you doing here?”
“Wrong question!” Nightmare snapped. She flipped a baton around, pointing it at Dash. “The right question is why you aren't in your new outfit!”
Dash blinked. “What new outfit?”
“That one!” Nightmare replied, pointing at the outfit in question.
Rainbow Dash looked at the outfit in question, and couldn't help but blush – it was huge, and poofy, and looked more like a whole-body suit than a conventional outfit.
It was lying there, unzipped and open, so it was a little hard to tell what exactly the outfit was of, but Dash could see crinkly black material along the legs and a puffy built-in sleeper in dark purple with lightning-flash gathers.
“In you get!” Nightmare demanded. “Mascot, you need to get into your new outfit before you can do proper training!”
Completely lost, Dash hesitantly started to put the outfit on.
It turned out to be a lot easier than it looked. The moment she put a hoof in the foreleg of the suit, it went straight up her leg with an easy gliding motion and then got stuck in place.
The same thing happened with the hind legs, and the wings – big puffy ones which covered her real wings – and then the zipper went up.
Nightmare helpfully held up a mirror, and Dash realized with a start that she was like a big, bulky, padded version of a Shadowbutt.
“Now, get to it!” Nightmare demanded, ushering Dash out onto the training ground. The newly-Shadowbutted Dash waddled a little as she trotted out, her rump swinging back and forth, and then took her position on the grounds.
“Give me a fifty-meter crawl!” Nightmare ordered. “Now!”
Dash immediately dropped onto her front, gulping as Nightmare ordered her around. She began to crawl across the ground, her padding pressing down into the dirt as she did, rubbing her gently as her rear swayed about even as she crawled. Her padding crinkled loudly as Nightmare walked beside her. “Faster!” She barked. Dash did her best, struggling to move in the thick warmth of the suit. Even the 50 meters was tiring, leaving Dash panting a bit by the end of it.
“50 butt bounces, now!” Nightmare cried. Dash rolled onto her rear, reaching down to take a hold of her hind hooves. She began to thrust upwards, bouncing into the air. Her padding puffed out clouds of foal powder with each bounce, filling the air as Dash bounced across the ground. “Higher! Higher!” Nightmare grinned as Dash complied, soaring up into the air with each bounce as if her diaper was full of helium. It wasn’t too long before she was done, leaving her tired from the exercise.
“Up on your hooves, you’re climbing the wall!” Nightmare demanded. Dash looked up to see a big wall of rubber with a few ropes hanging down the side. She hurried over to the ropes, wrapping her hooves around it. She tried to flap her wings to try and help her ascent, but the wings of her suit prevented anything beyond simple wiggles. Struggling, Dash began to climb the rubbery wall, her hooves squeaking along it as Nightmare soared up to the top.
It took her more than a minute to finally reach the top of the wall, at least a hundred times longer than it would have been without her Shadowbutt suit, but Dash had to admit that she was doing a lot of exercise at the same time as a result.
“Now, across the high wire!” Nightmare barked.
Dash did a double-take, looking at the rope. It wasn't quite a high wire, but it was pretty high and quite long.
“Get to it!” Nightmare demanded, seeing Dash hesitating.
Dash waddled out onto the rope, blushing as the pressure squished her diaper into the rope and made part of it hang down either side. She had to shuffle slowly along the rope, coming close to falling off at least twice, and then finally slipped off into the net below.
“That's no good!” Nightmare said sternly, shaking her head. “We'll have to do that one again later! Now, keep moving! Do the water obstacle!”
Dash waddled into motion, butt shaking back and forth, and blushed under the suit.
She reached the water obstacle and plunged into it with a splash, then felt herself becoming heavier and more sluggish almost immediately. Looking down to see what the cause was, she blanched – the whole suit was soaking up the water and becoming thicker, puffier and more waterlogged!
Straining, Dash nearly reached the end, then flopped down into the now-mostly-dry pool as her padding and puffy suit absorbed the rest of it.
“Not good at all!” Nightmare judged. “You'll need to do that much quicker tomorrow! Now, clean the barracks!”
She pressed a hoof into the incredibly wet padding of the suit. “That should do to help you clean up! Move it!”
Dash struggled to reach the ladder at the side of the pool, jumping a few times before she managed to wrap her hooves around the sides. She pulled herself up and flopped onto the ground, only to have Nightmare push on her butt to move her along. Dash wobbled and waddled squishily back to the barracks, her rump swinging left and right. With a squash, she plopped her rump onto the ground of the barracks, swiping her rear left and right as she began to scrub the floor. “The whole floor, mascot! And you better be ready for our next session!” Nightmare snickered, watching as Dash whimpered and waggled her tushie back and forth.
Fluttershy wriggled about in the belly of the puffy monster, pressing against the plush walls of her prison. “P-please let me out Mr. Wolf!” She cried. The belly just shifted around, squishing her further.
“Mr Wolf? I do believe you’re mistaken!” Fluttershy heard a voice echo around her. She was bounced around in the belly more as the beast shifted around. She heard the sound of a zipper being pulled open, and suddenly she tumbled out of the tummy, flopping onto the ground of the cave. Shaking her head, Fluttershy looked up and gasped as she saw a pitch-black wolf grinning over her, its belly opened like a suit with an oversized zipper along the front.
“W-who are you?” Fluttershy asked, getting to her suit's plushy feet. It felt odd to be on all fours, for some reason – something about the design of the suit which tried to tug her into a rearing position – but she shrugged it off in favour of finding out what was going on. “A-and, um, thank you for letting me out...”
“Me?” the wolf asked, zipping herself up. “I don't think that matters… what matters is what you are!”
She pointed a thick, overstuffed plush paw at Fluttershy. “It's not every day someone meets a Draconequus!”
“But I'm… not...” Fluttershy began, puzzled, then looked at herself again. “Oh. Um… that's just the suit...”
“Really?” the plush wolf asked, her star-scape tail twitching back and forth. She planted a paw on the tail of Fluttershy's sleeper. “But this looks real. And so does that.”
She flicked the thick diaper, making Fluttershy squeak in surprise.
“S-stop, um, please?” Fluttershy tried.
“Oh, I see what's going on!” the wolf told her, nodding. “You're just pretending to be a helpless little pegasus, when really you're a Draconequus who's turned herself into a costume! That's just the sort of thing a Draconequus would do!”
For a moment, the idea floated through Fluttershy's mind. Maybe this wolf was right?
As soon as she thought that, though, her padded suit began to glow. It puffed out, expanding and gaining definition, and Fluttershy realized with a jump that she was feeling some of the sensations from the sleeper's surface.
“Of course...” the black-furred plush went on, thinking out loud. “If you were a Draconequus, then I bet your chaos powers would just try to trap you all the time! Chaos powers out of control would mean you couldn't help but get tangled up in silk bags, or buried in pillows… or even chased by big, crinkly hydras trying to decide which head gets to eat you today!”
Nightmare chuckled to herself.
Honestly, with this one she didn't even need to control the dream herself. Just suggest something, and the paranoid Pegasus did all the work…
Even as she watched, the suit was joining up – connecting together, making it less of a patchwork of bits and more of a single continuous whole. The suit puffed out, as well, making it thicker and more obvious and blush-inducing.
Fluttershy and the suit were becoming harder and harder to separate, as her imagination ran wild and convinced her that she really was a plushy Draconequus – that the bit with being a pegasus had just been a silly idea, the kind of silly idea that everyone knew Draconequui had all the time.
As she did, she realized that Draconequuses like herself had powerful Chaos powers, just like Nightmare had suggested, and a hundred big plush toy puppies rained down around her.
“Um… stop, please?” Fluttershy asked, as the puppies began barking and running around, dragging sleeping-bags and pillows out of nowhere, and began getting Fluttershy all tangled up in bags and pillows and all manner of plush things.
She tried to do the Draconequus claw snap thing, clumsily, but the plushy twik sound that produced had none of the crispness of when Discord cast a spell. It backfired, too, making Fluttershy suddenly be surrounded by a hundred puppy plushes almost as tall as she was.
Half of them turned into kittens, and then the horde of super-sized toys began batting Fluttershy-Draconequus about like a ball or a cat toy.
Squeaking in surprise, Fluttershy tried to use her chaos powers again. This time they did get rid of the critters, but instead stuck her in a super-sized diaper and a pair of mittens so thick she couldn't do a clawsnap with either one.
“Aww… is the baby Draconequus still learning her powers?” Nightmare asked, smirking. “That's okay, she's still wittle...”
Another burst of wild 'Chaos Magic' flashed through the dream, and a big crinkly hydra appeared with bibs on all seven heads. Each head was large enough to swallow even Fluttershy's super-sized diaper down, and they all began sniffing at her with interest.
Deciding her job was done here, Nightmare loped off behind a rock and cancelled her transformation.
“Did you like that time as a wuffy?” she asked the captive Princess of the Night. “No? Aw well...”
Her horn flashed, and she stepped through the realm of dreams to visit the last of the Elements.
Applejack bobbed about in the air, still grumbling a little to herself as she looked down below her. Flim and Flam had finally jumped off of her suit and were now addressing the crowd that were all admiring their new advertising blimp. Applejack tried once more to wiggle her hooves, but the suit was squeezing in so tightly she couldn't do a thing but drift about enjoying its squeaky embrace. As she watched the crowd of ponies, she noticed one especially tall and dark figure step up to the front of the crowd, addressing the two brothers directly. Applejack twisted her head and flicked her ear in hope of eavesdropping in on the conversation below.
Despite how high she was floating and the continuous creaking of her suit, Applejack was able to hear the exchange happening below.
“I must say, this new blimp of yours is absolutely marvelous!” The dark mare said. “But I must ask, could one hope to order a custom-made Dirigible suit?”
“Why, custom is the only way we do things around here! You name the features, and we’ll have them all ready for you lickety-split!” Flim boasted.
“What’ll it be? Extra frills? Extra bounce? Everypony enjoys more bounce in the booty~” Flam added in.
The mare chuckled, looking up to Applejack floating in the air. “Oh, both of those sound like wonderful additions. I expect the diapers are especially absorbent as well? We wouldn’t want any foal accidentally leaking, now would we.”
As their conversation continued, Applejack wiggled about as she could have sworn she felt something shift in the suit. The rump seemed to have ballooned up a bit bigger, and there was the sound of something rustling in the breeze along her rear.
“Of course! Why, you could practically fit a whole lake in the padding! I’m sure they won’t have to worry about leaks anytime soon!”
“And anything can fill the suit? Air, helium, water,” The mare paused. “Cider, perhaps?”
Flam laughed, Applejack squeezing her legs together as her padding seemed to grow a bit thicker, not noticing a valve appearing on one of her flanks. “Oh, just you wait and see! You’ll have a cider balloon so big, you could squish Canterlot castle beneath it!” The stallion trotted over to a tank that had not been there before, placing his hooves on the valve. Giving it a hard twist, a hose extended up from the machine, up, up to the Applejack balloon above them. Applejack’s eyes widened as she felt the hose connect, and something heavy and damp being pumped into the suit.
The cool liquid pooled at first in the bottom of the suit, making Applejack wobble about a bit on the end of her tether as the weight distribution changed. The whole sensation drove her to blush, shaking her head and trying to protest as best she could – though all that did was make her wiggle more obviously and with less balance.
The amount of cider grew quickly, though, and before long the bulk was starting to counteract the bouyancy of her suit. Applejack began to descend, her blimp-like suit approaching the ground with a belly full of fizzy drink, and she bounced off the ground with a springy, sloshy boi-oi-oi-oiiiing.
“We've got adjustable altitude, too!” Flim proclaimed. “You can have head height, tree height, or no height at all!”
“Let's see head height,” the mare said. “No… a little higher. So it goes just over the heads of most ponies.”
“Coming right up!” Flam said, pulling a lever on the machine. “But not too far up!”
Applejack's long, sloshy bounce stopped, and she floated upwards again a bit. Blushing, trying to come up with some way to ignore her predicament – to no avail – she felt her suit fill with liquid more and more, and felt a fizzy popping feeling from all the bubbles in the cider now inflating her suit.
Finally, it seemed to stop, and she looked down – seeing herself about the height of a house.
“That looks too high to me,” the mare told Flim and Flam. “Can we make her come down a little?”
“Of course!” Flim agreed.
“Just a matter of liquid ballast!” Flam confirmed.
Applejack wondered what they meant, then watched with some bewilderment as the cider tube detached from her valve. It fell back a short distance, then rose again, and Applejack's eyes had just enough time to widen before the hose went into her mouth and pumped some cider into her.
“Mmpphh!” Applejack protested as she began to fill with fizzy drink. Her hooves wiggled as her suit sloshed about, causing her to fall back to the earth. Her padding squeaked as it dropped onto the ground, making Applejack blush from the impact, only to start floating back up into the air. Flam wiggled the valve on the machine a few times, the cider starting to come in uneven bursts. Applejack filled up some more, her belly stretching out and pressing snugly into the interior of the suit as she fell once again. This time her head was squished under the rest of her body, causing her to let out another muffled moan as she felt the weight of the bouncy material squeeze down on her.
The cider in the hose became stuck, causing it to bulge and swell as it tried to squeeze under Applejack’s suit towards her mouth. The pause in cider and rippling from the bounce shook more carbonation loose, making Applejack’s suit swell further and lift her up once again. The cider bulge rushed forwards, squeezing into her mask to obstruct her view and force its way down into her. Once again, she fell to the stage, squeaking and creaking as she continued to bounce in place from the continually shifting pressure. “I, uh, oh dear. My apologies, madam, I do believe we’ve encountered a bit of a problem.” Flim said, watching Applejack bounce slowly, stretching ever bigger.
“Oh, not to worry,” Nightmare responded, grinning widely as she watched Applejack’s continual bounces. “I’d say the suit works perfectly.” Nightmare turned, her horn flaring as she left the farmpony’s dream, patting her belly once again. “Ooh, wasn’t that fun, my widdle Woona? All your friends are enjoying their puffy dreams, why don’t you?” She heard some muffled protests and wiggles from inside her, making her laugh. “Lonely, are we? Maybe I ought to get your sister involved? I remember how much she enjoyed teasing her little sister. I’d just love to see her being the little one now…”
Smirking at the sound of Luna's protests, Nightmare wound her way across the world of dreams to return to Luna's own dream. Once there, she spent a moment constructing an appropriate set of scenarios, then jumped from there to the dream of the Sun Princess herself.
Celestia was sitting on her throne in the Canterlot Castle audience chamber, much as she'd done for over a thousand years. Ponies came to her with important things for her to give her opinion on, and she gave her opinion as best she could – just as she always did.
This time would be no different, she knew.
There was a momentary flicker, and Celestia frowned before dismissing it. A cloud, perhaps.
“Guards?” she began.
One of the unicorn guards looked back at her, and did a double-take.
“Is something the matter?” Celestia asked, a little surprised by the guard's behaviour.
“I – uh – not at all, Princess,” the guard apologized. “I was… never mind.”
Celestia nodded to herself, deciding the guard must be a new one. “Very well. Now, the Day Court is in session.”
The guards opened the doors, and the first of a long line of pony petitioners came in.
Used to – and sighing over – the looks of awe she got from her little ponies when they first saw her, Celestia saw nothing unusual with the way her subjects pointed at her as they entered. Some of them seemed to be asking one another questions, and others were even averting their eyes.
Celestia chuckled – she knew she was the Princess of the Sun, but she wasn't actually blinding to look at. Some rumours.
The first petitioner asked her question, and Celestia answered, sitting down on her comfortable throne.
It felt softer than usual today.
A few more ponies stepped forward to ask more questions (one particular pony asking repeatedly if she enjoyed bananas. Whatever that was about) or place some form of request or another for changes to the city. Often she responded by simply stating that it would need to be reviewed later and having one of her scribes scrawl the request down. It was very rare anypony made a suggestion that she found herself agreeing with to any extreme extent, and even then she knew she had to curb her excitement and be sure to look at something from every angle.
Celestia shifted in her throne, thankful that the cushions seemed to have been fluffed recently. This certainly seemed like it would be a long day. As she called up the next pony, her gaze drifted off to the window, wondering what it was she had seen. Possibly a bird having zipped by? It seemed too large for that, and she wasn’t familiar with every species that inhabited Equestria. Perhaps Philomena had gotten out of her cage again. Her attention was suddenly drawn back to the court when she heard an odd question.
“Do you get any vacations?”
Celestia turned to see a small filly looking up at her, wonder in her eyes. “I’m sorry, dear, what was it you wanted to ask?” Celestia said, giving a heartfelt smile and feeling a little guilty for having missed the child’s question.
“Well, you’re always ruling over everypony, and my friends say you get to do whatever you want, but I think you’d get tired after all that time? Don’t princesses get breaks too?” Celestia couldn’t help but smile a little more, looking down at the filly.
“Oh, well, not very many I’m afraid. Luna and I are usually very busy, it’s rare we have time off to truly enjoy ourselves.”
“Would you like some time off?” the filly asked, curious.
“Well… I suppose I might,” Celestia admitted. “It would be nice to relax.”
The filly nodded sagely, and Celestia suppressed a giggle at the sight of such a small pony being so confident.
“I think you should have a vacation,” the filly said. “That way, you can enjoy yourself and be free of all adult responsibilities!”
Celestia blinked. “...pardon? Adult responsibilities?”
She frowned. “I'm not sure what you mean, dear.”
“Isn't that why you're wearing a diaper?” the filly asked.
Celestia's jaw dropped for a moment, before she caught herself and closed her mouth again. Looking down, she saw – to her shock – that the comfy cushion she'd been sitting on was really a comfy diaper around her haunches.
She blushed, unable to help herself, and realized why the guard had been so surprised.
“Sister?” came Luna's voice. “Is something wrong?”
Celestia looked around, feeling grateful for the interruption, and saw Luna trotting out from behind the dais. She was so relieved she didn't notice the slightly off colouring of Luna, or the way some of her looked distinctly… stitched.
“I'm sorry, Luna, I'm afraid I'm busy-”
“Celly, don't be silly,” Luna said, and Celestia blushed again as Luna used an old foalhood nickname that was definitely not for public hearing. “You have been working yourself without break since a thousand years hence – now that I have returned, you should learn to take proper breaks.”
Celestia tried to hide her embarrassment as she reached down and attempted to remove the padding around her flanks. “Luna, I’m really very thankful that you’re back, but I can’t stop ruling just because you’re here. It’s all so much, it wouldn’t be fair to push it all onto you so quickly.” Celestia grunted a bit, finding the tapes of the diaper to be far more stubborn than she would have expected.
“Celly, please, it’s no trouble at all! At least let me help answering our loyal subjects’ wishes. Considering your… attire, perhaps you need the break more than you realize.” The plush Luna smirked. Celestia paused, looking down at the padding, then back between Luna and the filly.
“I… well… I… suppose it wouldn’t hurt if I go… clear my head a little.” Celestia said. Luna gave a small smile as the sun princess stood up out of her chair, the padding crinkling softly as she did. Blushing brightly, Celestia began to waddle out of the main hall, hoping none of the ponies standing in line were paying too much attention as she left to how her rear swung left and right. Slipping into a hallway as the plush Luna took her place on the throne, Celestia let off a soft sigh and stared down at the diaper. What in Equestria had caused this to happen? She wasn’t even aware they had kept such thick foalish garments in supply, let alone where they would have been kept!
Celestia tried a few more times to tug the padding off, but not matter how she yanked and pulled, her hooves kept slipping off of the tapes. Her horn flared up as she attempted to remove the padding via magic. All that resulted from this endeavor, however, was her giving herself a rather embarrassing wedgie. Shaking her head, Celestia began to waddle down the hallways to her room. She needed some privacy to figure these odd circumstances out.
When Celestia opened the door to her room, however, it was only to be confronted with yet another surprise.
Gone was the bed she could swear she'd slept in just last night, replaced by a high-sided crib – though still one large enough to admit her, and to let her sleep quite comfortably. Her wardrobes of dresses – collected from special occasions over the last few centuries – had been replaced with an open chest of drawers stuffed to overflowing with foalish diapers and other such things, and with a large, well-padded changing table.
What had been a fine collection of understated art from around the world was now a dozen big, dopey-looking plushies of all kinds of creature, and even her regalia stand was now a large foal's toy instead.
At least Philomena's cage was still there, the phoenix asleep with her head under her wing.
“What on Equestria...” the Princess asked herself, looking from the mobile over the cot to a crudely-crayoned colouring book. “What happened to my room?”
“Is there something wrong with your room, Princess?” asked somepony from behind her, a voice she felt was familiar but couldn't quite place. One of the servants?
“It shouldn't be like… all this!” Celestia said, pointing into the room to the little-filly aesthetic of almost the whole room. “I do not live in a room like this! I am not a foal!”
“But you're wearing a diaper,” the pony replied. “Don't foals do that? And I think you might just need to relax a bit – you've been so stressed recently.”
Celestia blinked.
“Doesn't this seem strange to you?” she asked, a little startled.
“Not at all, Princess,” the other pony said. “I tidied your room just a few hours ago.”
Celestia trotted up to the dresser, pulling one of the drawers open a little further to inspect its contents. It was filled to the absolute brim with thick puffy padding, some looking more like pillows than actual garments for foals, each row a special design. “Is this some sort of joke? I know for a fact April Foal’s day is coming up, did the staff decide to start early this year?” Celestia looked back to see a rather dark maid standing in the doorway, dressed in an overly frilly and puffy outfit, complete with feather duster clutched under one wing.
“I can’t see how it would be a joke, unless it is one I wasn’t brought in on. Are you sure you’re feeling alright, princess?” The maid asked. Celestia was having trouble taking in everything at once. She stumbled over to a large heart shaped beanbag chair and flopped down into it as she stared around the room once more. Even looking up at the ceiling she noticed little glow in the dark stars and a sun and moon had been painted above the crib.
“This is absolutely ridiculous!” Celestia cried out. She leaned forward, her hooves causing her diaper to crinkle again. She looked down at the puffy garment, remembering why she had come here in the first place. “Would you please assist me in removing this diaper? I believe I have some stern words I need to share with some of the staff, and I do not wish to appear before them looking so silly.”
The maid shook her head, stepping into the room. “I’d advise against that, princess. Foals aren’t supposed to take their diapers off, they could get hurt, or have an accident, and we certainly wouldn’t want either of those happening, would we?” Celestia stared incredulously at the maid.
“I am not a foal! Now remove me from this padding or you’ll be facing a severe punishment as well!” She demanded, stomping a hoof.
“Princess!” the maid countered. “If you are going to have a tantrum then I will have to put you in a time-out!”
“A tantrum?” Celestia said incredulously. “I am not having a tantrum!”
She slammed a hoof into the floor again, harder this time. “Now get this padding off me – NOW!”
“That's it!” the maid said sternly, horn glowing, and Celestia found herself lifted into the air by an aura of dark magic. She tried to fight against it, but for some reason she felt very tired out by the effort, and the maid dropped her into the crib.
In the general air of unreality about the whole experience, the fact the maid had both wings and a horn didn't even register on her.
“Now, Princess, stay in there,” the maid told her. “If you can wait until your time out is done, then you'll be able to talk again.”
Celestia was speechless – at first with anger. Then, accompanied by a growing blush, with the realization that she really had been having a tantrum.
But… but none of this made sense! She had a right to be angry – especially about this foalish garment around her flanks, which seemed to be so tightly secured that it was impossible to remove.
She began to spread her wings, then stopped at a warning cough from the maid. Folding them again, she looked around the inside of the crib and pushed a hoof into it experimentally.
It was, at least, very soft and comfortable. Almost like a cloud, though it was clearly fabric, and what's more there was a blanket of the same soft material with a sun-moon-and-stars pattern to it.
“All right, Princess,” the maid said, and lowered the side of the crib. “If you're going to be a polite foal, then you can come out again.
Celestia took the offer straight away, blushing about the whole situation, and tried a different tack.
“Why do you think I'm a foal?” she asked.
The maid seemed baffled by the question. “Because you are, Princess?”
“But-!” Celestia cut herself off, trying to keep herself calm in case the maid decided to punish her again. She took a breath, focusing. “That’s not an answer, you know because I am? You can’t just say something is something and expect it to be true.”
The maid smiled softly. “Dear, it’s complicated, I know a foal might have trouble understanding it. But if you must have proof, look around! You’re wearing a diaper, you’re sitting in a crib, you just threw a tantrum. Well, who else does something like that except a foal?” The maid concluded.
Celestia frowned, not at all satisfied by her answer. “But you’re not a foal! I could put you in a diaper and you still wouldn’t be one, so why do you insist that I am one?” The maid’s horn flared as she pinched Celestia’s cheek, giggling softly.
“Why my silly little Celly, it’s because you like your diapers, of course! Only a foal would enjoy the soft, fluffy, puffiness of a diaper! Only a foal would think their crib is comfy. It’s as clear as day that you are a silly little foal!” Celestia was about to retort when a worrying realization hit her. Despite her protests and her demands to have her room return to normal, she had found the crib cozy. And there was a sort of comfort to the way the diaper hugged her rear, keeping it warm and safe. Could she really be a foal?
She shook her head, trying to push the thoughts out of her mind. “But foals have pacifiers, don’t they? If I don’t have a pacifier, I can’t be a foal, right?” She said, trying to trick the maid into seeing things her way. To her dismay, the only response she received was having a pacifier shoved into her muzzle, the maid cooing softly.
“Mmph!” Celestia mumbled, then reached up with her magic to remove the pacifier. She hesitated, finding the feeling of it oddly comforting, then steeled herself and pulled it out with a quick burst of telekinesis.
“Silly Celly,” the maid chided. “Foals aren't allowed to take their pacis out!”
She pushed it right back in, and this time accompanied it with a flare of magic. Celestia tried to take it out a second time, but it didn't want to budge despite her best efforts – the only thing her telekinetic pull achieved being to make the pacifier move about in her mouth.
“Aww, see?” the mare cooed. “You like it! That just shows how much of a foal you are!”
“M not a foal,” Celestia said, speaking awkwardly around her pacifier. “Foals don't just wear diapers, or sit in cribs...”
“Well, I suppose one way to tell is that foals really like plushes,” the maid mused. “So, Celly, what's your favourite?”
Thinking she at last had a way to win the argument, Celestia pointed at Philomena's cage.
“Aww, see?” the maid said, nodding. “You are a foal!”
Celestia made a shocked noise, not at all sure what that could mean, and then the maid opened the cage and let Philomena out.
The phoenix emerged, but she didn't look quite like Celestia remembered her. Her red-orange plumage was soft and clothy, not sleek and feathered, and she had a large, puffy body which looked very squishable indeed.
Celestia raised her hooves automatically as Philomena swooped down, and found herself hugging a cutely-designed plush phoenix.
“Awww, you two were practically made for each other! Well, I know at least one of you was.” The maid giggled as the plush phoenix nuzzled Celestia, playfully nipping at her ears. Celestia gave a few suckles on her pacifier, instinctively squeezing the plush bird into her chest. The maid flapped her wings, which Celestia noted were now no longer bound beneath a frilly dress as she hovered up to an oversized mobile hanging above the crib. Giving it a spin, a soft music box tune began to play as the objects on each end of the mobile spun around.
Celestia tried to pull her gaze away from the mobile, but there was something hypnotic about how it spun, the cutie marks on the end glistening. Celestia kicked her legs as she saw Twilight’s pass by, not fully registering why her cutie mark was one of the designs. The maid leaned over the side of the crib, smiling sweetly down at Celestia as she squeezed her chubby phoenix plush. Reaching down, she poked a bit at Celestia’s padding, making it crinkle and puff out a bit of foal powder.
“Well, that’s another thing this little foal seems to like. The only thing left would be for her to use those diapers she has on. After all, no grown mare would ever even think about using those thick, fluffy, plump, pampers. But a silly little foal wouldn’t give it a second thought if they became wet and squishy. Then they’d get an even thicker pair once they’re all clean to keep their rump safe and snug~”
“W-well...” Celestia mumbled, trying to resist sucking on her pacifier for long enough to get the words out. “It's a… good fing that… I'm not gonna...”
Her words trailed off as she looked up at the mobile again, her gaze drawn to look at it as spun and twinkled around. The cutie marks looked pretty as they spun, each one making her feel content in a different way as it spun towards her.
“N-not gonna...” she began again, snuggling her plush for comfort, and yawned.
It was a little hard for her to concentrate, and then a lot harder. There seemed to be so much vying for her attention at once… the shiny cutie marks on the mobile, glittering and shimmering in sequence… the music, soft and lilting, making her sleepy and relaxed… the feel of the plush Philomena as it nuzzled her neck… the sensation of the pacifier in her mouth as she suckled it again and again… the comfy, plushy warm feeling of the diaper… and, right at the back of the list, the vague sense that she should be paying as much attention as possible to her bladder.
But that sense was quiet, and it was hard to focus on it as other things caught her attention one after another. The cutie marks on the mobile told her everything was fine… everything was in harmony… and she nodded, eyelids drooping a little bit. Then her head slumped forwards a little before she blinked and shook herself awake again.
“Aww… looks like little Celly is tired,” the maid cooed. “That's okay. Foals are easily tuckered out, you know.”
“But… not a foal,” Celestia claimed, yawning again but not taking her gaze off the mobile. It looked so nice…
She relaxed, as the mobile told her to relax and she agreed with it. Her legs relaxed, and her breathing slowed down a little.
Then she relaxed somewhere else, and felt all warm and damp all of a sudden.
Her padding swelled outwards, growing warm and squishy as Celestia soaked it. Part of her whined and whimpered, looking down at her wet diaper as it puffed up a little more. But she wasn’t quite sure why she was so upset. After all, the maid did say that foals do wet their diapers. And if she wet her diaper, maybe she was a foal after all. That didn’t make Celestia like the dampness of her padding any more, though, as she wiggled about, fussing a bit in her padding.
“Aw, poor widdle baby Celly’s all wet.” Celestia looked up to see Nightmare Moon standing at the edge of her crib, lifting her out with her magic. She fussed a bit more, something telling her that Nightmare wasn’t a very friendly pony and Celly had to get away! But that voice was quickly softened when Nightmare lay Celestia down onto the changing table. She began to quickly remove the damp padding, wiping Celly clean as she pulled out a thick, puffy, sun-emblazoned diaper out of the dresser. Celly giggled as she saw just how big the diaper was, and imagined how comfy cozy it would be around her rump.
She didn’t have to imagine for very long, as Nightmare lifted Celestia’s rear up to slide the diaper underneath, puffing several large clouds of foal powder onto her rear as she tugged her tail through the appropriate hole. Celestia squeezed Philomena as the padding was folded up over her, hugging her rear comfortably as Nightmare lifted her up once again. “There, there, such a good little foal you are.~” Nightmare pressed a hoof into Celly’s muzzle, making her giggle as she was hovered back over to her crib. Or rather, where her crib had been. In its place stood an oversized plush sun, just waiting to be squeezed and snuggled.
“Nap time,” Nightmare said, letting the mobile keep going. “Just watch the pretty mobile for a moment, Celly...”
Celestia nodded a bit dozily, yawning, and watched the mobile go around and around again.
Now she looked at it again, she could see extra symbols on it. Some more cutie marks, like a wand-and-sparkles or a starburst with two little green wisps next to it. Other symbols entirely, like a griffin's feather and a purple flame.
And one in the middle, a silver moon, with a free slot next to it.
All the symbols and cutie marks shone and glittered, drawing Celestia's attention in succession, and the music kept her unfocused and dazed as she suckled her pacifier.
As she did, there was a zrrrip sound as Nightmare pulled along a zipper, opening out the plush sun along the outside of the central circle. The little prominences split up, half of them going on each one of the two sides, and Celestia muzzily noticed that the plushy sun was made of very thick, soft-looking material.
She yawned, and Nightmare booped her muzzle again. “Sssh...” the Nightmare-Mare told her, in a soft voice. “Just wait a moment...”
Nightmare fussed about with the sun a bit more, plumping it up and making sure it was all soft and well-cared for, then spread it out and lifted Celestia towards it.
The alicorn frowned momentarily, confused, then decided it was probably okay. Nightmare laid her down on the soft, sinfully comfortable plush, and shifted her a little to make sure she was in the middle of the circle.
“Sleep tight,” Nightmare told her, and started to zip the sun back up – the soft, cushy yellow material folding around Celestia a bit at a time. “It's time for the sun to go to bed...”
Celestia nodded drowsily, eyes still on the mobile as it shimmered and spun.
For a moment, she felt sad that she wouldn't be able to watch the mobile while she was asleep, then calmed down as she realized she'd still be able to hear it. To hear that lovely, melodic music made up of nearly a dozen different kinds of tune – all of them sleepy, and relaxing, and just right for a foal like her to listen to.
Nightmare zipped up the sun completely, leaving Celly trapped inside its impossibly cozy and snug confines, snuggling her plush as she suckled her pacifier and wiggled her padded tush. Nightmare grinned as the sun poofed away, only to appear on the mobile a moment later, the sun princess kept secure in her new puffy prison. Chuckling, Nightmare stared at the mobile a while longer, thinking of all the wonderfully snug traps she had devised for the ponies.
As she stared, though, she couldn’t help but think that the mobile could be a little bit bigger…~
