It was the evening of the Friendship Games. Things were finally beginning to settle down from the drama that had transpired, and people were going home. Lyra nudged Bon Bon and gave a mischevious look.
"Well Bon Bon, looks like this concludes yet another grand epic at CHS.... There's only one thing left to do after a night like this..."
Bon Bon gasped.
"Go home..."
"Make popcorn..." Lyra added.
"And watch..." Bon Bon paused dramatically.
"HORROR MOVIES!!" They both finished together with a squee.
"What time is it??" Lyra checked her watch.
"Buck Buster is still open!"
Lyra turned to Bon Bon.
"Go there?"
"Like now!!" Was Bon Bon's reply.

After an over enthusiastic walk that could have been compared to that of Oz standards, they arrived at the movie palace, and made their way straight to the horror section.
"Ooh!" Lyra took a movie.
"When a Creeper Calls! I heard this one was really good."
"I heard it wasn't very scary." Bon Bon said. "There's a horse movie here called "Flash" but I don't really get why it's in the horror section." Bon Bon said, before putting the movie back down, and taking the one right next to it, chuckling.
"And look what's right next to it...Twilight." She winked.
Lyra giggled.
Bon Bon also put that one down, putting a finger to her lips in thought.
"How about.... Taxing Time is Coming To Town?"
"Eaugh!" Lyra faked nausea. "I heard that one was just boring..."
Bon Bon went back to the movies.
"Well then, how abooooooout...." She said before taking another movie out, before announcing. "The Devil Wears Purple?"
Lyra's jaw dropped, but she snickered anyway.
"Bon Bon! That's...just mean." She tried to sound serious, but chuckled anyway.
Bon Bon just shrugged as she put the movie back.
"Just a suggestion.....Oooh! My Little Chainsaw is here!!" She grabbed the movie.
"Blood..."
"Guts..." Lyra added.
"Aaaand..." Bon Bon said dramatically.
"GORE GALORE!!" They finished together.
"Watch it?"
"Like totally!"
The duo made their way to the checkout counter, looking at the candy varieties they could get for their movie.
"You know what I've always wanted Lyra?" Bon Bon asked before picking up a candy bar.
"A Hundred Grand!"
"Oh Bon Bon..." Lyra said smugly, picking up a chocolate bar of her own.
"That makes me snicker!" She said as she held up a Snickers bar.
"You got the movie??" Lyra asked over excitedly.
"Let's go!!"" Bon Bon and Lyra approached the pay counter.
"Hello ladies..." The man spoke in a monotone voice, before looking at the movie they had.
"I see you're ready for a night of fright..."
"That we are Mr. movie man!" Bon Bon beamed.
"Well...I do hope it's not too scary for you..."
"Oh no! We love horror movies!"
He put the movie through.
"That'll be $6.66..."
"Hmm... There's something strange about that price..." Bon Bon narrowed her eyes suspiciously at the man, then gasped.
"That's more expensive than it usually is!!"
"Yes...inflation is rough..."
Bon Bon sighed. "Oh well, can't let a little price increase ruin a good movie night. You only live once right?"
"Yes...Indeed."
Bon Bon payed for the movie, and he gave it to them.
"Well then, I hope you have a frightful night..."
"We will! Thanks Mr. movie man!" They left the movie place and headed for home.
Lyra looked at Bon Bon.
"Maybe it's just me... But that man seemed strange. He had a monotone voice."
"Lyra!" Bon Bon scolded. "You can't judge someone simply because of a monotone voice. Look at Maud!"
"....She's strange too..."
"...Ya..." Bon Bon agreed.

After arriving at Bon Bon's house, they made popcorn, and watched their movie. After many jump scares and squeals, the movie rolled its credits, and they began getting ready for bed.
They stood at the foot of the stairs to the basement. Bon Bon's bedroom was downstairs.
"Uhh..." Bon Bon said hesitantly as she looked down into the dark abyss.
"Here Lyra!" She shoved her. "You should go first!"
"As live bait??" Lyra cried. "Some friend you are!"
"Ya scared?.." Bon Bon teased.
"Are YOU??"
"Of course not!" Bon Bon defended. "I'm simply saying that the guest should always go first."
"Well, I appreciate the offer, but it's your house, and your basement, so I insist that you go first."
BRIIIIIING!! BRIIIIING!! The phone suddenly rang.
"Well, I'm answering the phone." Bon Bon said, strolling to the phone.
"Hello?.." She asked nicely as she answered it.
"Hello...Bon Bon." Said a deep foreboding voice on the other end.
"I am going to be coming to your house tomorrow morning, and I'm going to take care of you once and for all."
"AAAAUUUUUGGGGHH!!!!" Bon Bon screamed and slammed the phone down before barelling past Lyra.
"Outta my way!!!" She ran down the stairs, not bothering to turn on the lights at the bottom.
"What?!" Lyra cried. "What's wrong?!" She followed her down, and found her curled up under her bed sheets. Bon Bon poked her head out.
"C-c-c-creepy man on phone!" She stuttered. "Said he was going to take careof me once and for all!!" There was a thunder clap at that moment.
"AAAAAAAAUUUUUGGGHH!!!!!" They both screamed. Lyra scrambled under the bed.
"L-l-l-lyra, what do we do?!" Bon Bon panicked.
"We- We could get out of town! It's not too late..."
Briiiiiiing!!
"AAAAAAHHH!!!!!"
Bon Bon got out of bed and went to the phone that was in her room.
"H-Hello?..."
"Don't even think about leaving. I've got a job to do, and I'm going to get it done, once and for all..." There was another boom of thunder.
"AAAAAAHHHH!!!!" Bon Bon slammed the phone, and went back to the security of her bed.
"He said we couldn't leave!!" The two of them shivered and whimpered in fear for the next hour.
"....You know Bon Bon, I...I'm kind of hungry..." Lyra spoke up.
"I was just thinking that...Ok Lyra, you go upstairs and make us sandwiches, then bring them back down."
"WHY ME?!!" Lyra cried.
"Because you're the one who said you were hungry in the first place, and because you're not the one being threatened by a chainsaw murderer!!"
Lyra sighed. "Ok, fine..." She peaked out of the covers.
"Here goes nothing..." She bolted out from under the covers, ran up the stairs, and went to make the sandwiches, screaming all the while.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
She burst back into the room, and jumped under the covers.
"Here's the sandwiches!"
"Oooh, PB and J!" Bon Bon exclaimed.
"You're the best Lyra!" She whispered.
"Thanks, you too." Lyra whispered back.
They ate their sandwiches, and stayed up as long as they could, but soon, the urge to sleep overtook them at last.

They woke up in the morning with sunshine streaming in through the window, and birds singing. The two friends went upstairs to have some breakfast.
"I feel SO much better this morning!" Bon Bon said.
"Ya, I don't even remember why we were so scared last night." Lyra agreed.
Briiiiiiiing!!
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!" They screamed in unison, diving under the table. The phone continued ringing.
"You answer it this time Lyra!!" Bon Bon begged.
"Me?? It's YOUR phone!!"
"Oh...." Bon Bon whined, before going to the phone.
"Hello?...." She answered it hesitantly.
"I'm going to come to your house this morning, to take care of you-"
"I know! I know!! Once and for all!!" She slammed the phone down.
"He's still coming today!!" She cried.
Brrriiiiiing!!!
"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!"
"I can't take this anymore!!!" Bon Bon panicked before picking up the phone.
"Hello?" She answered in a girly tone.
"I'm coming down your street right now, and you better be there. I'm going to-" Bon Bon didn't bother to let him finish before she slammed the phone down.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" She dove under the table.
"He's coming down the street right now!!"
"What do we do??" Lyra panicked.
"Stay quiet! Shh!!"
"Don't move!!" Lyra whispered.
"Shh!! Don't blink!!" Bon Bon said.

"What was that???" Bon Bon whispered.
"That was me. I had to blink, sorry!!" Lyra apologized hastily.
"Well Lyra... If this is the end, you were my best friend. I'm sorry for the occasional fights we had..."
"Same goes for you Bon Bon, and I'm sorry for that time I stole that$40 from you..."
"Ya, well I'm sorry for- wait.... That was you??" She narrowed her eyes.
They heard the front door open, and held their breaths.
"Hello?.... Hello??..." The voice of a young man called out.
"W- Who's there?.." Bon Bon answered hesitantly.
"I'm Jake from the phone company. I'm here to take care of your phone once and for all!"
"Wait... Phone company?" Bon Bon peaked her head out from under the table. The man looked surprised to see her there.
"I tried calling you to tell you I'd be here. Your phone has a glitch that is causing the caller to have a deep scary voice, and I'm here to take care of itonce and for all!"
Lyra poked her head out too, an they both stood up.
"Y- You're the guy?.."
"He's the guy!!" Bon Bon confirmed, taking Lyra's hands as they jumped around in a circle.
"He's the guy!! He's the guy!!" They chanted, and laughed.
"Oh, you should have seen your face Bon Bon!"
"My face?? You're the one who made our sandwiches, screaming all the while!!" Bon Bon laughed.
Lyra and Bon Bon learned a valuable lesson that day.
"Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!-..... we did?"
"What did we learn?... And who's talking??"
They learned that as long as friends have eachother, they don't need to be scared of anything.
"......That sounds really sappy."
"I suppose we are supposed to write a letter to Principal Celestia now to tell her what we've learned...."
"Eugh! Don't be silly Lyra. That would be kind of creepy if our principal wanted to know about our personal lives..."
"Ya! Plus it sounds like the plot of a show for little girls."
"Ha!! That would never catch on..."
