//-------------------------------------------------------// A Heartfelt Moment -by Tilgoreth- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// A Heartfelt Moment //-------------------------------------------------------// A Heartfelt Moment Fluttershy yawned as the morning light danced through her window. She snuggled closer to her wife. Rainbow moaned lightly at her wife’s touch. “You know I have to go to Wonderbolts practice soon.” Rainbow Dash grumbled. She was annoyed that she couldn’t spend more time with her wife. “I know Dashie, but just five more minutes.” Fluttershy said, wrapping her hooves around the blue pegasus. Rainbow Dash didn’t protest. Fluttershy feel back asleep. Rainbow Dash kissed her wife on the forehead before she flew back to the Wonderbolts for practice. She left a note on the night stand. Gotta go to work! See you tonight! We can snuggle more then! Dashie. Fluttershy kissed the note from her wife. She can be so sweet. Fluttershy thought as she went to the bathroom. She took a shower and styled her mane. She then went downstairs to feed Angel and all her other animal friends. Angel was being picky today. Fluttershy promised to make his favorite desert tommorow if he ate his food. He agreed. Fluttershy looked at a photo hanging on the wall by her couch. It was taken the day of her and Rainbow Dash’s wedding. They were both wearing dresses. Rainbow Dash had only agreed to that because Fluttershy had wanted her to wear one. Fluttershy smiled as she looked at the photo. When Rainbow Dash said ‘I do’ she had made Fluttershy the happiest mare in the world. Everyday since then had been like a dream for the two mares. Fluttershy loved waking up next to her wife every morning. And going to sleep with her every night. Fluttershy couldn’t wait for Rainbow Dash to get home so that she could snuggle with her wife again. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy had been married for almost a year and a half now. But they’d been dating for three years before that. It was actually their four year anniversary tonight. Rainbow Dash probably forgot, but Fluttershy didn’t mind. She was just happy to spend time with her wife. After eating breakfast Fluttershy made her way to Twilight’s castle. She had sewn a quilt for Rainbow Dash over the last several weeks. She just needed to so the finishing touches and it would be ready to give to Rainbow Dash later that day. Fluttershy knocked on the castle door. Spike answered. “Oh hey Fluttershy!” He said happily. “What brings you here?” “Twilight said she would lend me some blue dye.” Fluttershy said. “Oh right!” Spike said running back inside. He came back with a glass bottle filled with blue liquid. “Here you are!” Fluttershy put the bottle in her saddle bag. Fluttershy noticed the lack of Twilight or an invitation to come in. “Is Twilight alright?” Fluttershy asked concerned. “Yeah she actually got a cold, and doesn't want to get anypony else sick.” Spike said as Twilight began to cough. “Yeah I should probably get back to taking care of her.” With that Spike said goodbye and went to take care of Twilight. Fluttershy then made her way to Rarity’s. She needed some felt to complete the quilt she was making. When she got there she knocked on the door. “Come in!” Rarity chimed cheerily Rarity was working on a dress. Starlight Glimmer was there, and Rarity was taking her measurements. “Give me one second darling.” Rarity said as she disappeared in back. “Hey Fluttershy.” Starlight said waving to her friend. “Hi Starlight.” Fluttershy responded. “Are you having Rarity make you a dress?” “I’m getting it made for Trixie.” “That’s a rather sweet gift for your girlfriend.” Fluttershy said smiling at Starlight. “Well actually it’s for me. But I’m going to wear it when I propose to Trixie.” Starlight said blushing. Fluttershy squeed with delight. She was so happy that one of her friends was going to get married! She wanted Starlight and Trixie to feel the same joy she felt with Rainbow Dash on her wedding day. “Oh Starlight that is fantastic!” Fluttershy said enthusiastically. “Hey Fluttershy, can you not tell our other friends? I want to tell them myself.” Fluttershy nodded her understanding. Rarity came back out and placed some fabric on a table. “Your dress should be ready in two days Starlight Glimmer.” Rarity said measuring her friend one last time. “See you later!” Starlight said as she left. Fluttershy and Rarity both said goodbye “Now dear why did you come by?” Rarity asked happy to see her friend. “I've been making a quilt for Rainbow Dash in honor of us being together for four years. I was wondering if I could borrow some fabric?” Fluttershy asked. “Oh of course darling!” Rarity said taking Fluttershy over to a table full of fabric. “Take whatever you need!” Fluttershy began to look through the pile of fabric. Rarity went back to working on Starlight’s dress. Fluttershy took some pieces of felt and put them in her saddle bag. She noticed a picture frame buried beneath the fabric. She took it out. It was a picture of Rarity and Applejack snuggling next to each other in front of a fireplace. Fluttershy felt joy at seeing to of her friends share the love they felt for each other. Rarity and Applejack had started dating a few months ago, and Fluttershy had been overjoyed when her friends had told her. Fluttershy gave the picture back to Rarity, she began to cry tears of joy. “This is one of my favorite memories.” Rarity said as she wiped her tears away. Fluttershy patted her friend on the back. “You know,” Rarity said, “this is actually a gift for Applejack. I meant to give it to her awhile ago, but I never got the chance.” “Actually Rarity, I plan on heading over to Sweet Apple Acres later today. I can give it to her if you want?” Fluttershy said sweetly. “Oh darling that would be wonderful!” Rarity said hugging Fluttershy. Fluttershy said goodbye to Rarity then left. She made her way to Sugar Cube Corner. She had ordered Rainbow Dash’s favorite cake from Pinkie Pie, and she was going to pick it up. “Fluttershy!” Pinkie Pie beamed as Fluttershy entered the store and approached the counter. “Hello Pinkie.” Fluttershy said happily. “Here!” Pinkie Pie said as she placed Rainbow Dash’s cake down on the counter. Fluttershy thanked Pinkie and paid for the cake. “Oh Fluttershy on your way home can you drop these letters of at Twilight’s castle? I think poor Derpy got confused again.” Pinkie Pie said giggling. “Ember writes Spike the sweetest letters!” “Pinkie I’d be more than happy to do that, but you can’t read other ponies mail!” Fluttershy said alarmed. “I know, but Spike and Ember are clearly in love with each other! And it’s so sweet!” Pinkie Pie said dreamy eyed. “Well alright.” Fluttershy said giggling, at her friend. She noticed a picture of Twilight and Pinkie sharing their first kiss. Then one right next to it of Twilight being mad at Pinkie Pie for not asking permission to take her picture. Fluttershy felt happy seeing the love her friends felt for each other, but sad knowing her friend was sick. “Pinkie maybe you could take these letters yourself. Twilight is sick with a cold.” Fluttershy said. “Oh no!’ Pinkie said with concern. She flipped the sign in the window to closed. “I know the Cakes will understand that I had to go check on my girlfriend! And these letters will make Spike so happy!” Fluttershy giggled at her excited friend then said goodbye. Fluttershy then made her way to Sweet Apple Acres. She found Applejack near the barn. Applejack waved to her friend. “Fluttershy! What brings you to Sweet Apple Acres this fine afternoon?” Applejack said smiling at her friend. “I wanted to buy the freshest apples you have.” Fluttershy replied. “No, sugar cube they're free of charge.” Applejack said as she placed some apples in Fluttershy’s saddle bag. “That’s very kind of you.” Fluttershy said hugging her friend. “Ah shucks Fluttershy, you know you’d do the same.” Applejack said returning the hug. Fluttershy then pulled out the picture Rarity had given her. “Applejack, Rarity wanted me to give this to you.” Fluttershy said giving her friend the photo. Applejack smiled longingly at the photo. “This was taken last winter. We were snuggling in front of the fireplace, and Pinkie said we were so cute together, she just had to get a picture.” Applejack said, crying tears of joy on the inside. “Rarity wanted to give it to you as a gift. But she was to busy. You have a very sweet girlfriend.” Fluttershy said with a smile. “Yeah, I really do.” Applejack said hugging Fluttershy, cherishing the fond memories she had with the mare she loved. Applejack looked at the photo of herself and Rarity again. “Thanks for bringing this to me.” Fluttershy nodded, hugged her friend again, then said goodbye and made her way back home. At her cottage Fluttershy set Rainbow Dash’s cake down on the table. She then cut up the apples and made some apple sauce. Afterwards she made a nice salad for dinner. Fluttershy then began to put the finishing touches on her quilt. She died the fabric Rarity had given her, then sewed it onto the quilt. It was finally done. And not a moment too soon as Rainbow Dash arrived home a few minutes later. “How was practice dear?” Fluttershy asked her wife. “It was great Spitfire had us practice some new maneuvers! I’ll tell you about it during dinner!” Rainbow Dash said kissing her wife on the cheek before she went to hang up her flight suit. Rainbow Dash’s jaw dropped when she saw her favorite cake on the kitchen table. “No cake until after dinner Dashie.” Fluttershy said teasing her wife. Rainbow Dash grumbled but agreed to her wife’s wishes. After dinner Rainbow Dash cut herself a large piece of cake. After cake Fluttershy went to get her quilt for Rainbow Dash. “Dashie close your eyes. I have a surprise for you.” Fluttershy said carrying the quilt in her hooves. “Actually Fluttershy, I remembered that today is our four year anniversary, so I got you something.” Rainbow Dash said eagerly. Rainbow Dash gave Fluttershy a picture frame that contained an image of Fluttershy and herself on their first date. Tears welled up in Fluttershy’s eyes. “Oh Dashie I love it.” She said hugging her wife. “Yeah the copy we had got ruined a while ago. But since Pinkie took the picture she made extras. This is my favorite photo of us together. I’m glad it makes you happy.” Rainbow Dash said returning her wife’s hug. “I loved the cake you got me. Thank you.” “That’s not all I got you.” Fluttershy said wiping the tears from her eyes. She then gave Rainbow Dash the quilt. Fluttershy had recreated several photos of the couple together in felt and fabric. In the center was a blue and yellow heart in the shape of their wings that had their initials on it. Rainbow Dash wiped a tear from her eye. “ It’s beautiful. I love it.” She said as she kissed her wife passionately on the lips. “Today I talked with some of our friends. And seeing the love they feel for one another, only reminds me how special you are to me Dashie. You’re my wife, my best friend, my soul mate, Rainbow Dash I love you.” Fluttershy said as she wrapped her hooves around her wife and kissed her softly on the lips. Rainbow Dash yawned. “I love you too. Come on I’m tired, we have a new blanket to try out.” Rainbow Dash said as she sleepily made her way to their shared bedroom. Fluttershy wrapped the quilt around herself and Rainbow Dash tightly. She snuggled up close to her wife as she could get. She could hear Rainbow Dash's breathing, and feel her heart beat. She felt her wife’s warm fur against her own. She breathed in and out gently, savoring the scent of Rainbow Dash’s mane. Fluttershy was happy. They both slept peacefully that night. And they both loved every moment of it. THE END Author's Note So I wrote this awhile ago. But I didn't finish it. A few days ago I got around to finishing it. Tell me what you think, what could be improved. I'd really value that. Also yes this is 100% fluff.
