Five teens just starting their freshman year at Canterlot High School have decided to enter the city-wide science fair. Their project is a wireless receiver box, a radio, constructed almost entirely from scratch.

None of them expects the first trial to tune in a broadcast from something well beyond their understanding. The God-Machine wants sacrifices, and only Sweetie Belle is immune to the mind-controlling signals. She has little time to save her friends from the clutches of a mechanical god that encompasses the universe, aided by a Demon disguised as someone she knows.

All the help will cost is her soul.

This story is heavily influenced by the game Demon: the Descent, but it is not a full crossover and has been written to be accessible to those with no knowledge of the game.
