Chapter 1 The Home Life

“I’m Rui Fucking Caster! Don’t you dare forget it!”

Long ago in the magical Land of Equestria... Ponykind was attacked by foreign aggressors our homes were burned and lives were taken in the war. The only saving grace we had was the light of the princesses by our side it was because of them we were able to escape deep underground kept safe by the very earth we stood on protected by the knowledge held within the mind of our Overmare. Trust the Overmare; obey the Overmare.

Boring, Life in Stable 42 never changed so it was rather boring or at least that's how it is for the Doctors. The most I have to look forward to is reading some old pre-war books which we are in limited supply, Check our supply of medical equipment to make sure they still work because our stuff is rather dated, And maybe give somepony a little something for the sniffles we can’t let the Stable full of 500 ponies die out because one little foal had a runny nose.

That’s been my day for the last eleven years when I got my Cutie Mark a triangular science beaker with water inside and three bubbles floating above which made me the happiest little filly with a cream coat and neon red mane with a purple stripe on my tail and light green eyed Gingercorn in the Stable how ignorant I was, Once I got my Cutie Mark I was put to work for my Dad Alos Caster the best Medical Scientist in the whole Stable so I guess I was bound to follow in his hoofsteps, I’m twenty one years old and yet he still acts like I’m eleven.

Well at least I can look forward to seeing my fifteen year old baby brother Myu Caster a cyan coated and Brown maned unicorn the cute little guy doesn't even have his Cutie Mark yet. The only thing that bugs me is that he keeps staring at me with this puzzling look on his face and he won't tell me why!

“Hey Rui stop daydreaming and get back to work!”

My focus was snapped back to reality when a Blue maned and and white coated unicorn who looked at me with those piercing light green eyes which is a family trait for us.

“Huh what!? Oh sorry Dad…”

I say in a dowry tone with big puppy eyes trying to earn some sympathy points, He was not amused.

“Look Rui I know this job isn’t the most exciting job in the Stable but at least it beats the panic inducing work of the core engineers right? One mistake from them and we could all die from unfiltered air so at least boring means safe.”

Boring is safe? I know boring is safe I’m tired of safe! I want more to life then to just sit here and call out foals that pretend to be sick and that's the highlight of my day!

“I know but it’s the same everyday doing the same thing with the same ponies I’m just tired…”

“Hmm I guess I can hold down the fort for a few hours why don’t you take a break and do something fun?” He said with a caring smile.

Awe I can’t say no to that smile I simply nod my head and smile back as I trot down the halls of Stable 42.

I can’t say how long I have been walking but it barely matters my dad said go do something fun. The problem with that is there isn’t any fun to be had when you have nothing to do during work hours and playing with the Stable 42 Pip-Buck doesn't provide much entertainment ether. That would be the case if you didn't have a friend named Daisy who loves to gamble, That long blond mane and bright pink coat with a daisy cutie mark tend to be… distracting especially when she looks at me with those pretty blue eyes~

“And that's twenty one wow you really suck at blackjack~”

Damn… and that was the last of my bits for the week. If I don't call it now she will take my Stable barding, Maybe that was her plan all along!

“Heh heh Yeah I just can’t call a bluff, please don’t take my clothes next!”

“Only if you have nothing left to bet~” She said with a wink.

I can’t tell if that was her idea of a joke of if she was hitting on me regardless i’m blushing like a tomato. Just as I was about to respond the fillies and foals she was ‘suppose’ to teach surrounded us like a pack of wild Timberwolves with hunger in their eyes!

“Miss Daisy! We finished our tests!” a small yellow and red colt asks.

“My that was fast I'm impressed! Guess I should start story time.”

She gets up giving me the I'm sorry look and is dragged off by the most evil of children to interrupt such a moment! Knowing I won't get another chance with her today I return home in hopes of rubbing a quick one out before I go back to work. But sadly I just wasn’t allowed as the stable speakers sounded off.

“Attention all ponies are to report to the atrium hall for a very important announcement from our wonderful Overmare.”

What the hell? The Overmare wants to speak with everypony in the stable? This is something new and exciting I am not missing this!

It was well known that not everypony likes the Overmare for one reason or another but when I saw her the only words I could think of was, What a little bitch! How come she gets a nice red dress when everypony else has to wear the same jumpsuit! This was added to her pink coat and her short light pink mane and long flowing tail which made her look so damn good in it! How dare she look attractive like that!

“Ahem, My little ponies, I am so proud of you for all you have done to keep this stable up and running for the last two hundred years. Many of you have come and gone leaving your work to your children and your children's children and so on. Many Overmares have taken the mantle throughout our time to eventually lead to me your best Overmare! Why would I say that I'm the best? Well the reason is because unlike the others I have been able to come in contact with Stable-Tech from the outside! Yes I have discovered that the surface is indeed habitable now! Stable-Tech will be arriving to Stable 42 within the next day so I expect my little ponies to present us in a glorious light for them so they know Stable-Tech made the right choice with entrusting us with the good of ponykind! Thank you all and prepare for life outside!”

And with that she trotted back to her office with elegant steps of course but enough of that we can finally go outside! No more of the walking death of boredom will loom over me ever again! I need to find my Dad and Brother ASAP!

I struggled through the herd of ponies congested in the tight halls to get back home lucky me they were both waiting for me when I flailed my way back inside.

“Dad Myu We can go outside! We can see the Celestia damn sun like the ponies before the war enjoyed everyday!”

I was excited as I could ever be but Alos wasn’t as happy like the others.

“Yes I agree this sounds like the best thing ever but I feel like it’s too good to be true.”

Myu suddenly speaks up.

“I’m scared what if the Overmare was tricked I don't want our friends to get hurt because of her…”

I was shocked at how open he was about his mistrust of our Overmare I didn’t even know what to say to comfort him my poor baby brother, I look at Dad for his help.

“Myu listen if you don’t trust our Overmare then trust your sister she is a very capable pony and she will keep you safe no matter what.”

Thanks for that Dad… If I wasn’t expected to do much before well now I have to always look my best in front of him…

“Well let’s all pack just in case” He says in a cheerful voice

Everypony was waiting as close as they could get to the stable door in anticipation, Me and my family are stuck on the second floor railing but at least we can still see. Since stables don't have much supplies beyond essentials so most ponies are all taking a saddlebag per pony except for the Overmare of course, She has a few suitcases and some poor saps forced to drag them around then she decides to start talking again.

“My fellow ponies we are just moments away from returning to the surface and rejoining the world that shines in our Princess Celestia’s radiant sun and Princess Luna’s beautiful moon! I your illustrious Overmare shale guide you all to our prosperous new future!”

With those final words she pressed the big red button and the stable door screeched and slid out of position greeting five hundred ponies to the glow of the outside well almost that glow was not Celestia’s grand sun but something else something bad. The ponies we were told were Stable-Tech did not look the part, They were dirty un-groomed and clothing made of whatever they could find and that stench… I’m on the second floor and I can still tell they haven't bathed in months! And then what looked like their leader came forth right up to the Overmare. He looked cleaner than the others though not by much he had metal barding around his body he looked like he was made of metal and it was stained along with those bright orange glowing eyes that lit up the cave that lead outside…

“You must be Stable-Tech I am the Overmare it’s uh a pleasure to meet you…”

The normally self centered mare lost her composure when near the metal stallion probably because of the smell.

“Why hello Overmare I am called 56A well that’s my recent name. Now you seem all well prepared for life outside the stable and we will get you out just… Not the way you expected~”

I was not prepared for what happened next no pony born in our stable was prepared. The metal stallion touched the overmare with a metal hoof and sparks came out she was zapped! The whole stable went silent not one sound could be heard not a step a scream not even a breath… If things weren't bad enough some of the dirty ponies started shooting up the place making the halls filled with screams cries and panic as everypony tried to run away.

I couldn't believe it one moment I was excited to leave the stable and another moment and I'm running for my life with my brother on my back and my dad close behind us now I'm grateful we were on the second floor less ponies to get through! Oh goddesses I'm glad that my friends are dying as long as I can live this day can officially kiss my ass! If I live through this I really will put up a sign and have ponies take a number!

“Sis I'm so scared! Please make it stop!”

The worst part is my baby brother is being exposed to such horrors and my Eyes Forward Sparkle or E.F.S showed that there were about thirty or so red dots behind us each red dot was a pony who wanted to kill us! Just keep running, Just keep running, Just keep running!

“Sis go to engineering no ponies are there! Just go there so I don’t have to watch!”

That is actually a good idea we can hide there! I made my way to engineering it’s quiet but we can still hear the ponies above us which gave us a bit of calm at least the best calm we could manage…

“Kids we can’t stay down here forever so catch your breath and get ready to move again our only chance to live is to go outside if they could survive life out there I'm sure we can as well.”

What!? He plans to have us go outside where more of those crazy ponies are!?

“But Dad! What about the others!? Our friends are in danger! We can’t leave them to die even if we managed to escape what then!? Da-”

He pressed his hoof on my muzzle to shut me up and to stop me from panicking.

“I know this is asking a lot but we can’t save them If we tried we would just end up dead and I'm not letting my children die here... I’m sorry but we have no choice now stand tall and show your brother that he can lean on you for support.”

He is surprisingly calm and those piercing eyes compel me to be brave so I do what he says I stand tall and walk over to Myu with my hoof reached out.

“Alright Myu… Let's be brave together so we can see the sun”

He took my hoof and I helped him stand up and I used my magic to pull a few pipes off the wall it doesn't need them anymore. Now that we are all armed I feel better slightly but I will take what I can get I then turn on my neglected state of the art Stable 42 Pip-Buck and we slowly sneak back upstairs.

Okay making sure I don’t panic up these long stairs I decided to take mental notes. First is that we are all unicorns so we have at least one spell we can all do well Myu is good at levitation Alos can make a small burst of fire it was mostly used to boil medicine so not super helpful and then me I can teleport across a room at least once so if we have to fight we can at least defend ourselves… Wait why is it still so quiet?

“Sis… our friends… they aren't moving... “

Oh goddesses… The stench of decay stabs our nostrils like being tackled by a very big mare! Oh look at that I was tackled by a very big mare! Before I could react she bit me or at least tried but she missed and bit the Pip-Buck which lets me activate my Stable Assisted Targeting System also known as SATS making everything around me slowdown to a crawl allowing me time to bash her head in with the sharp pipe I levitated through her skull I got her off me but she was still alive and I didn’t stop, I just kept bashing her and wouldn’t stop until her head was paste leaving me there crying. I just killed a pony… I JUST KILLED A PONY!!!

“Rui get ahold of yourself!”

Suddenly I was slapped by my dad leaving me shocked silent.

“You can survive this Just keep it together!”

He was right I can’t freak out now I can save that for when we get out of here. He owes me a lot of cuddles for doing this. Cuddles and ear rubbing!

“Alright I'm good now let’s move…”

As we snuck our way through the halls I start to wonder how will the others deal with killing a pony I just bawled my eyes out and if they try... I think Dad can do it but not Myu so I need to keep my eye on him I won’t let him just to be safe.

I turned the corner to the atrium and saw a horrific sight our friends were being enslaved forced in cages the ones out of the cages were being used by the crazy ponies! Lots of our friends were beaten and most if not all the mares were being raped by them and they did not clean off all that gunk and grime covering their bodies. I wanted to vomit then one mare caught my eyes it was the Overmare! I couldn’t move my eyes were locked on her and her most disgusting partners shoving pint after pint of their seed down her cunt and throat she wanted to vomit as well but fear alone kept her from doing so she was a bitch of a mare but she didn’t deserve this.

Before I could act Myu held onto me just shaking his head if he knew what needed to be done at a time like this I would be a fool not to listen even if he is young. So we were about to sneak out but I saw that metal pony again and he was on top of Daisy! Guess this makes me the biggest fool in the stable because the next thing I knew I teleported to the metal pony with SATS turned on and stabbed him in the chest with the broken pipe I didn’t even dent him, I was just standing there with a very awkward please don't hurt me smile as he stared at me with those blinding headlight eyes.

“Stupid little stable mare doesn’t even know when she is looking at an augmented stallion.”

He suddenly pinned me down next to Daisy and oh wow I can see one part that isn’t augmented and I think he plans to put that in me!

The next thing that happened was that the metal pony was lit on fire as my dad dragged me and Daisy away from him!

“Damn it Rui take her and Myu out now I will deal with 56A myself!”

“Make it back alive Dad! Luna as my witness you better get out alive or else I will fucking kill you myself!”

With that I ran with Myu and Daisy out the stable door I hated that I was leaving him but I trust him to make it out alive-

I heard the stable door closing behind us and I saw Dad on the wrong side!

“Daddy get out of there!“

He just looks at me with that caring smile and his horn lights up and the inside of the Stable explodes just as the door seals itself he must have opened a gas pipe.

“D-Daddy...“

I wanted to scream...
