Chapter 3 Life in Las Pegasus

Oh come on stop cheating you know I would have won that game!

I was home it looks like my room but its in the middle of the atrium all my walls are gone and the floor is melting a red gunky metallic liquid the only safe place was my bed in the distance I see me as a filly hopping across the bodies of my dead friends in stable 42 as she makes her way up on my bed with me.
"The floor is lava don't touch it"

"why is it lava?" I ask with concern.

"the heat melted most of the ponies don't touch it they are very upset"
Little me hopped her way out then the gunky silver liquid started climbing my bed and dragged me in I can see them all burning alive. I was burning alive. it hurts so much please stop hurting!

Waking up I felt a pain in the back of my head I was bashed by something though I'm still burning what the hell! I was apparently shackled in a room full of steaming pipes if it wasn't hot enough outside those leather jacket ponies decided to leave me in a boiler room.

As I took in my surroundings I wasn't alone Daisy was here too her cuffs were burning her front hooves and our weapons are gone I need to get us out of here but all I can do is levita- I'm not smart at times but this is a new low the time I have a real use for a teleportation spell is the exact time I forget about it! Promising to throw my pity party later I teleport myself out of the cuffs and try to get a sleeping Daisy free. I never tried teleporting anything besides myself so I better not mess this up! My horn glowed its signature green but trying really hard it had sparks of purple and I was able to warp Daisy a few inches to the left and free of the cuffs!
"I can't believe that worked!"

"uggghhhhhh Rui? what happened to my cuffs?"
Those burns apparently hurt her enough to make it hard to walk so I put her in the coolest part of the room as I look for a way out.

"I apparently can teleport more then myself so sorry but you happened to be my adorable little test subject" *I say in a joking manner to keep our spirits up as I examine the rusty door.

"you skipped the basics of teleportation and just did it on yourself are you mad!?" She says with both concern and humor.

"I uh nooooo..."
I can't believe I skipped the basics of my best spell what was I thinking!? Hey that gives me an idea focusing my magic on the rusty door my horn glows green and sparkles with bits of purple and I was able to teleport the door a few inches away making it fall to the floor this is so cool I use my can teleport spell more then once a day!

"yaaaay you learned how to open doors I wonder what else you can open?"
Oh ha ha she was soooo funny, actually that was kinda silly so I picked her up and made her stay on my back as I walk us through the halls of wherever we were and I must say having an earth pony on your back really tends to slow a unicorn down but I didn't mind because of what I saw up ahead. The stallions in the leather jackets were standing in a really large cluttered room just hanging out at a table playing cards but the freaky thing was the forth stallion he was almost like a pony but instead of a nice soft coat he had scales around his body and that weird neck thing those gizzards had I felt sick just by looking at him but the others acted like the best of friends even playfully pushing each other they actually touched that thing!

"hey Lizzalfos what's the plan with the mares we took?" Said the tall looking stallion.

"Well Bel is always looking for ponies to test his experiments on so we are going to sell them to him he will be fair with the caps so don't haggle against him unless you want to join them I learned that the hard way."
They wanted to sell us? No way am I letting that happen but I want to know who Bel is and what he must have gone through to make a messed up pony like that now I just need my gun.

"So how does he turn you into well you?" The big stallion said with a bit of fear.

"All I remember is being strapped to a table and then he put something on my head and then nothing he does something with your mind I thought I died because I was in total darkness for what felt like an eternity... If I had to guess and this is just a guess but it might have been a memory orb or something I just know not to mess with him anymore..."
Okay that's a bit messed up like the most messed up thing in the past few days and I'm counting the gizzard pony but that doesn't matter right now what matters is the average sized pony has my shotgun and I want it back! I put Daisy down against the wall behind a couch.

"Alright Daisy stay here and keep quiet I'm going to get my gun back."
She looks at me with worry in her eyes but she stays silent mostly out of fear since she heard what I heard it freaked her out. Sneaking around the gigantic room full of cluttered furniture and other things it was a bit easier to move around as long as I don't- Shhhhit! I just kicked a can which got all the ponies to point there guns at me and pushing me right next to there table and I felt sick as the gizzard pony is just inches away from my face.

"So the unicorn escaped and dared to try to sneak up on us stupid stable mare didn't even realize why we had all that crap in such a big room?" Apparently being a monster means bad breath and very sharp teeth.

"Well you had my shotgun and I really like it so can I please have it back? I'm begging for my gun so please give it to the nicest mare in the room."
Wow cracking jokes at a time like this yep I'm crazy, Trying to act as fast as possible I used my teleportation spell and appeared on top of the average looking stallion and took my double barrel sawed off shotgun and the new box of ammo he had and blew his brains out making the other stallions react in a very shooty way my stable barding saved me from many bullets to the chest letting me take cover. I activated SATS and fired 3 shoots in the tall ones chest leaving only the big stallion and the monster.

"get out here so I can shoot you!" The big stallion says in a very angry tone.

"Fuck you! You foalnapped me!"
Reloading my favorite gun I shot his hide and damn that fat kept him going how does a pony get fat out here I haven't eaten since I was in the stable that's it he dies now! My horn glows as I throw junk at him from around the room hey I even found my pipe so I stab him in the throat leaving the monster who hasn't moved...

"huh you killed my buddies oh well guess I can't sell them to Bel then"
What the hell he was going to sell them too? They looked like the best of friends a moment ago!

"Hey Lizzasomething or other! what happens when a pony is subjected to wheat larger then themselvese!"

"It's Lizzalfos! oh crap!" He looks up and sees that I teleported a main support beam holding the decaying roof making it crash on top of him I checked out the rubble and it was melting the monster had acid coming out of his mouth in a last ditch attempt I tried teleporting him but I was tapped out my gun was empty and he was face to face with me drooling acid...

"Leave my sexually confused friend alone you monster!"
Suddenly the monster pony's head had exploded into a bloody acidic mess some of my barding was melting from a few drops due to an earth pony holding a hunting riffle shot his head with what looked like an explosive round from the gun she stole off the dead body I made.

"D-Daisy? How did you do that and sexually confused?"

"Mareapony said to always be prepared so I had an incendiary bullet in my mane hunting riffles are most common around Las Pegasus apparently so yeah... I feel sick can we go back now?"
I nod in agreement.

As we get back to the junk town I start feeling like this is a second home now with a warm belly filled with this new food called 'meat' I go for a walk outside the edge of town partly because the last few days have made me rather jumpy and the other reason is because I had nothing to do while Daisy comes to grips with her first kill. Now I'm scared because I feel normal about this situation...

Searching through the scrap around me I found some revolver ammo now all I need is a revolver if I could ever get that lucky maybe I can buy one with the caps I found. Probably not I don't have much also where is that music coming from? Looking around I found what looked like a floating metal bug I wanted to shoot it as it floated next to me but then the music stopped and it started talking in a metallic voice.

"Your Rui Caster I presume? I have been watching you since you left your stable."
The fuck? I should blush knowing I have a stalker but my curiosity must be satisfied first!

"Who are you and why have you been stalking me?"

"...Watcher you can call me that."
Why do I feel like I'm not the only mare he stalked?
"I wanted to ask you for a bit of help you see I have a friend in trouble and due to my location I cant help her but she is close by you and I know that you are a rather nice mare so that's why I'm asking if you need a reward she will give you something nice if you mention my name."

"Well being a heroine does sound fun whats her name and where can I find her?"
Maybe I can ask this mare for a revolver or at least a weapon for Daisy and Myu.

"Her name is Derpy Hooves she is a pegasus mail mare with gold crossed eyes and she is stuck in the school a mile down the road"
He knew all that but couldn't help her?

"Hey what's the other reason you're asking me?"

"...For one your close to her two your a friendly stable mare who has a normal sized horn and can use magic without much practice lastly you have a sense of optimism that's rather refreshing."
Wow he really lives up to his name.
"One more thing bring some health potions you might need them"

"wait what's there that you would say that? hello?"
The music played again as the metal bug thing floated away to the tune of sapphire shores whoever that is. As I walk back I get the feeling Daisy and Myu wont like that I accepted a job from somepony who didn't even show me there face.
