Xanthippe and Silga's Adventures
Xanthippe shows Silga her half-goblin magic edited by reading is magic
Previous ChapterNext Chapter“Hey, want to see my magic?” Xanthippe asked as Silga woke up that morning. Despite being sex yesterday Silga was feeling much better now, in fact she wasn’t really sick anymore. Silga squeed with delight knowing that Xanthippe was going to show her magic today.
After having breakfast at the homeless shelter Xanthippe found a nice secluded alley to practice her magic. “Now, don’t be disappointed in what you see. Half-goblin magic is nowhere near as strong as full goblin magic. But it’s also much stronger than human magic.”
Xanthippe conjured a fireballl in her left hand, and threw it at the adjacent brick wall. The wall erupted in flames, licking upwards, engulfing the the area. Xanthippe then cast a water spell, rain droplets formed and extinguished the fire.
“Oh my Celestia! That is so amazing!” Silga said with glee.
Xanthippe smiled. “Yeah pretty fucking great right?”
Xanthippe then let lightning dance off her fingertips, cascading forwards. A light show was on display as the electricity bounced around the area, illuminating everything in eerie blue light. “Back home we call this false lightning, magic that looks like lightning but doesn’t behave like actual lightning.”
At this moment Pink Coke was walking by the abandoned alley that Xanthippe and Silga were in. “Ooh so pretty,” Pink Coke said.
Xanthippe stopped. “Fuck off Pink Coke. Remember what I said.”
“What’d you say?” Silga said checking her phone, seeing if she could get a glimpse of what Xanthippe had said. “Wait you turned down Pink Coke’s offer to sell coke in exchange for a place to live?”
Xanthippe grimaced. “Yeah...I did. I’m sorry Silga, but I couldn’t sell coke knowing it’d upset you.”
Silga said, “Xanthippe, I’m so proud of you. You did the right thing.”
Xanthippe wiped a small tear away. She gave Silga a bear hug, before turning her attention back to Pink Coke. “What’re you doing here bitch?”
Pink Coke said, “I live here silly. In this area at least. And I deal coke here.”
Silga said, “Pink Coke, don’t bother coming to us anymore. We won’t sell drugs for you.”
Pink Coke laughed. “Oh come now. Xanthippe has this little tramp really got you on that much of a leash? How sad.”
“Why you absolute fucking cunt!” Xanthippe shouted. Silga put her hand on Xanthippe’s shoulder. “Pink Coke, just fuck off okay? We don’t want any trouble. And remember what I said.”
Pink Coke shrugged and then left. Silga said, “Xanthippe, you wouldn’t really kill Pink Coke just to protect me would you?”
Xanthippe said, “Of course I would. You’re my best friend. And cunt’s like Pink Coke aren’t going to hurt my friends.”
“That means a lot. But please, don’t kill anybody. Especially not on my behalf, unless absolutely necessary. Do you understand?” Silga asked.
Xanthippe nodded, and pulled Silga in for another hug. “Silga, I promise I won’t kill anybody unless it’s a last resort. I don’t want to ruin our friendship.”
Silga said, “I don’t want to either.”
Xanthippe then conjured a dust storm, and with great force used it to sand down the brick wall into dust, revealing the other side of the alley. “Holy shit!” Silga said with excitment. Xanthippe laughed at this.
Xanthippe said, “Yeah, half-goblin magic is pretty fucking cool ehh?”
The half-goblin then conjured some more magic. This time it was ice shards, cold enough to instantly freeze a person’s skin. She used these to freeze chain link fence and smash it with her barebair hands.
She then conjured fireballs and ice in different hands. And used these to smash down another wall. Creating smoldering and frozen chunks of brick. Silga was giddy with excitement throughout all of this. Eventually Xanthippe just resorted to using her natural goblin strength to destroy shit.
Silga said, “So Xanthippe, how did you get your magic?”
“It takes a lot of practice and hard work. All goblins and half-goblins are born with a genetic predisposition for magic. But you can only become good with practice. I practiced like a motherfucker back home. But even then I was only good at attack magic. No complex spells, but half-goblins are so naturally fucking tough it hardly matters,” Xanthippe said.
Silga nodded. “But half-goblins are better at magic than humans in your dimension? But not as good as goblins?”
Xanthippe said, “Yeah. Humans bodies aren’t strong enough to handle most spells. And full blooded goblins are much more in tune with the magic of my world.”
“Are you happy with your abilities?”
Xanthippe shrugged. “Yeah. They could be better. But it is what it fucking is.”
“Well regardless of what others might say, I love them. I think your magic is fantastic.”
Xanthippe smiled at Silga’s statement. “You really think so? That’s fucking great.”
Silga giggled. “Yes I do. Come on it’s getting late, let’s go get some dinner.”
Xanthippe and Silga walked back to the homeless shelter to get more food. After this they headed back to their shitty fucking card board box. They laid down inside of it and snuggled in close.
“It isn’t cold tonight,” Silga said.
Xanthippe said, “It wasn’t cold last night. But I snuggled with you then. Jesus fucking christ Silga, we’re best friends, can’t I snuggle with my best friend?”
Silga laughed. “Of course you can.”
And so this night, like so many others before it, became one that Xanthippe and Silga would never forget.
