//-------------------------------------------------------// Lights Out -by Evictus- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Fixing The Lights //-------------------------------------------------------// Fixing The Lights Rarity was fixing her carry bag as it had ripped while she was traveling with it earlier, it got caught on a branch and when she had tugged it off it ripped, it annoyed her that his had happened to her but she was glad that she could fix it, soon she finished fixing it and went to sit down. As she sat down the lights in her place went out, she was surprised by the sudden blowout, she became annoyed as she now had to get somebody to fix it, she tried to feel her way to the cabinet that held supplies that she needed in emergencies and searched around for a flashlight and she couldn't find any. She hoped that she had some sort of supply of light that's he could use or she would be screwed if she didn't have any which would cause her to call an electrocian which would lead to her spending money just to have somebody fix a small problem so she kept looking but she couldn't see anything, she wouldn't be able to fix the problem without light which would caise her to call someone and have them fix it for her. This situation angered her as her and Sweetie Belle would have no light unless she fixed the problem by hand, she didn't want to waste time calling an electrician so she would have to fix it herself so she kept searching by feeling all around every area in the room she was in and then by her luck she had found a box of matches which she would have to use since she didn't have a flashlight, she quickly felt along her walls until she found a metal door. Sweetie Belle walked inside and saw that it was dark in there, she called out for Rarity who was pretty busy as she was trying to solve the problem by herself, she didn't understand why Sweetie Belle had to come back so early as she never came back at this time because most days she would be with her friends around this time, she whisked that Sweetie Belle had stayed outside for a bit longer but she knew that chance had been lost as she would now have to explain the problem to her sister. "The lights went out Sweetie Belle, I don't want you to get hurt in here so you need to just wait outside until I fix this problem that has happened in our place because you won't be able to see anything if you go inside Carousal Boutique at this moment." Rarity told her, Sweetie Belle decided to stay outside and wait till the problem was fixed just like her sister asked her to. Rarity it a match and saw that it was the circuit board but it was locked for safety purposes so she needed to find a key she searched around e room for a key, her match went out so she lit another one and continued to look for it, she looked in the cabinets and found a key for the switchboard. She took the key and closed her cabinet, she went to the switchboard and unlocked the door to it and then tried to find the problem that was in the switchboard, she tried turning it off and then turning it back on again but at did no good, she wondered if she could reset it so she continued to look. She had to light another match as the other one went out which caused her to curse to herself in frustration, she was lucky that Sweetie Belle didn't hear what she said as Sweetie Belle would be repeating it or she would be asking what the word meant and Rarity didn't want to deal with that. She didn't to spend the rest of the day trying to fix the problem so she started to look faster around the switchboard and she then found the reset button and pushed it which caused the electricity to come back on and the lights to turn on. Rarity closed the switchboard and saw Sweetie Belle waiting by the door. She motioned for Sweetie Belle to come inside and Sweetie Belle came inside and spoke in a shocked manner. "What happened!? I'm outside with my friends for a few hours while you stay home and when I come back the electricity is out with you trying to fix the problem, what caused it and why didn't you just call somebody to take care of the problem?" Sweetie Belle asked, Rarity gave her an annoyed look. "I don't know Sweetie Belle, I'm just glad that it's now fixed and I don't have to worry about it until it happens again which I hope it doesn't happen again, I didn't call somebody because that would have been a waste of money and I want to save money." Rarity said, Sweetie Belle shrugged as she got a snack and then ate it, she finally went up to her room while Rarity stood there glancing at her place, she finally sat down and felt grateful that she had fixed the problem. She hoped that didn't happen again and she was relieved that Sweetie Belle wasn't home during what happened or Sweetie Belle could've gotten hurt, she hoped that it wouldn't happen to her again as it was a pain to fox the problem herself. If it happened again she promised herself to call an electrician to take care of it as she wanted to avoid the trouble of trying to fix her electricity herself. She was also relieved that the problem only lasted for several minutes as if it had lasted for an hour she would have started to lose her patience while trying to fix the problem herself. She was glad that she had fixed the problem without having to tell anybody about it so they could help her as it turned out that she didn't need help in the end.
