From outside the planet of Equus, the planet of the many creatures including ponies, griffons, and dragons, a small vortex began to open out of nowhere.
After a few seconds, a fairly large, tetrahedron-shaped ship came through before it closed. The ship appeared to be sparking with many hole in different parts of it.
Inside the ship, the pilot was in the seat appearing to struggle with the controls with a small diamond hover drone with short arms and a single optic hovering beside him.
"Sir! The ship has been severely damaged. We need to land soon."
"I know Circuit! And by the looks of it, we're not to far from a habited world. Brace yourself. We're about to come in close!"

Meanwhile on the world of Equus, the famous Mane 6 along with a young dragon were all gathering in the back fields of the Castle of Friendship to watch an oncoming meteor shower. Pinkie Pie, the Element of Laughter, was jumping around as usual, laughing around like she normally would.
"Oh! I love meteor showers! They're always so sparkly and shiny and fun!"
"I have to agree with you darling," said Rarity, the Element of Generosity as she sat down a small picnic blanket. "I always enjoy the sight of majestic shooting stars. It does bring forth much inspiration."
"It also helps calm the night. I always do love a calm night." Fluttershy, the Element of Kindness, looked on to the sky in awe.
"I'll say. I'm so glad that weather control let us keep the skies clear for the night." Rainbow, the Element of Loyalty, was doing a few flights around the group.
Applejack, the Element of Honesty, placed down a bucket of apples to share between all of them. "Even I'll admit. Ah wouldn't mind a good calm night with ah good show."
Spike looked to the stars with sparkles in his eyes. "What I love most about a meteor shower is they look like a bunch of flying gems."
Twilight, the Element of Magic, chuckled at the dragon she saw as a brother. "We know Spike. We know. Anyways I'm excited myself. I always do enjoy watching as fragments of space debris enter our atmosphere as bright lights."
Rainbow smirked as she took an apple from the bucket. "Classic egghead Twilight. Always being slow with big words." Rainbow was about to take a bite from her apple when it disappeared in a flash of purple aura right as her mouth shut. Rainbow looked around before spotting it beside Twilight who was smirking herself.
"Who's slow now?"
Rainbow chuckled a bit before Twilight passed the apple back to her. "Okay. I deserve that."
Fluttershy then noticed the sky starting to light up. "Oh girls. It's starting."
Everyone looked to see just as the sky lit up with shooting stars. The girls and Spike watched in awe.
"It's so sparkly and flashy."
"So beautiful and peaceful."
"Quite a majestic show."
"It's awesome."
"Sure worth of a sight."
"It's always so incredible."
"You know girls, I'll always think of one thing when I see stars like this."
The girls looked to Twilight with curiosity as she continued, "With all of these stars and meteors out there and with how endless space is, could there be other kinds of life out there?"
"Well sugarcube, with how smart you are, I'm sure someday we'll all find out."
The girls then continued watching the meteor shower.
After a few seconds, Spike noticed something odd. "Ummm... Twilight?"
"Yes Spike?"
"Aren't shooting stars supposed to travel together?"
"Yes. Why?"
"Because I think I see one that's... Different."
Spike picked up a small telescope and looked out to what appeared to be a rogue meteor. However, the girls then noticed Spike went wide eyed for an unknown reason. Rarity questioned first. "Spike darling. What is it?"
"Twilight?... You might want to look at this."
Twilight raised an eyebrow before Spike passed her the telescope and looked out in the same direction Spike did.
"By Celestia. That's no meteor."
"What? Twilight? If it's not a meteor than what in pony's sake could it be."
"I don't know Rainbow Dash. But if my guess is right it should land somewhere outside of Ponyville."
"Umm... Twilight?"
"Yes Fluttershy?"
"I think you should look without the telescope."
Twilight lowered the telescope to see the unknown object heading right in their direction before flying over their heads and soon crashed somewhere not too deep into the Everfree forest.
Pinkie was the first to raise her head back up. "Oh. Did you see that? I saw that. It looked like a meteor. But it wasn't. It was something else. And it landed not too far into the Everfree Forest."
"Pinkie darling," Rarity dusted herself off a bit, "We know. We saw it too."
Fluttershy also stood up a little shaky. "Wha-what do you think it was?"
Applejack brushed her stetson off before looking out towards where smoke could be seen. "I don't know. But I reckon we go check it out."
"Are... Are you sure we should?"
"Come on Shy." Rainbow flew up and began swinging her hooves a bit. "Whatever it is, if it's dangerous, I bet we can handle it."
Spike then looked to Twilight. "Twilight? What do you think we should do?"
Twilight stood silent as she appeared to be in deep thought before finally speaking, "I think we should check it out. Like Rainbow said, we should be able to handle anything if we come across danger, plus somepony might have been hurt out there. We'll have a look and if it appears to be dangerous but if we're unnoticed we'll inform Princess Celestia and ask her to send some guards. Okay?"
The mares and Spike all nodded as they soon began leaving the castle's fields.

Some time later.
The girls were through the front of the Everfree Forest and closing in on the where the object crashed. Applejack looked to Twilight with a cautious look. "Twilight? I know you said that whatever this thing is wasn't a meteor, but can you give us any details for an idea on what it might be?"
Twilight thought for a moment. "Well... I know it had a small reflective surface while it began to burn as it entered our atmosphere. So I know it at least looked it was made of metal."
Pinkie popped up beside Twilight. "Ooooh! Do you think it could be an alien spaceship? I wonder if they're friendly. Or if they're some kind of spores that shoot some kind of dust or pollen into us through our ears and noses so it can turn into an alien baby to later break out of our bodies."
"PINKIE!!!"
"What?"
Rainbow looked to her with a annoyed look. "You're scaring Fluttershy."
Pinkie then looked over to see Fluttershy cowering a bit. "Oh. Sorry Fluttershy."
"I-it's okay. I do want to make sure that no animals were hurt by whatever that was that crashed."
Rarity was the furthest one ahead. "I think I see it girls."
They all soon came to the site and were stunned at what they found.
At the end of a rather long and large grove, there sat the ship from earlier in space. It appeared to have many punctures in it's hull along with many sparking wires hanging from it.
The group stood looking at the ship in awe and shock. Spike was the first one to speak up. "Wow... What do you think it is girls?"
Twilight looked at the ship before speaking. "To be honest Spike... I don't think any of us know."
"Ummm... Excuse me?"
The girls and Spike searched around them after hearing the unknown voice.
"Over here."
The group turned and went wide-eyed at spotting the small drone called Circuit.
"Hello. I need-."
"IT'S AN ALIEN!" Pinkie pulled a baseball bat out her mane and began swinging at the small drone. "Get back! You won't take me and my friends' brains without a fight!"
Circuit was doing his best to dodge all of Pinkie's swings. "Wait. Hold on. Now, now. No need for violence."
Twilight went wide-eyed before catching Pinkie's bat with her magic. "Hold on Pinkie!"
Twilight then turned to Circuit. "You speak English."
"Yes. It actually quite a common language. Now tell me are you locals of this world."
Twilight spoke for her friends. "Yes we are. But what are you-?"
"Ma'am. I can't afford to answer those questions at the moment. You see, what you see over there is my master's crashed ship. Like the ship, he has suffered many heavy and possibly severe injuries. I came out looking for help to get him somewhere for medical attention."
Rainbow flew up to the little drone. "Whoa. Whoa. Why should we listen to you little guy? You could be trying to trick or hurt us."
"I am not designed to lie ma'am. Now please I beg you all. My master's vitals are fading fast. If you can help me get him somewhere so I may perform medical attention, I will answer as many questions as I can."
Twilight thought for a moment before looking to Applejack for confirmation on Circuit's claim. Applejack looked to Twilight before nodding, responded with Twilight nodding as well. "Okay. We'll help you."
Rainbow looked to Twilight in surprise. "Twilight! You're seriously just going to help this thing when we know nothing about it?!"
Applejack stepped to Rainbow. "Calm down Dash. Remember I can tell if a lie is being told or not. And I know for a fact that this little fella is telling the honest truth. And I am not about to let a life, even one from out of our world, just go down without at least trying to help. Come on girls. Let's get in there."
Applejack, Spike, and Twilight followed Circuit to the ship, and after a few seconds of standing, the rest of the mares followed them.

The girls and Spike were soon lead into a room that appeared to be the front and cockpit. There, they looked around with Applejack speaking first, "So little guy..."
"Circuit miss."
"Circuit... What does your... "Master" look like?"
"He's right here."
The group turned to see Circuit hovering near what appeared to be a red furred, anthromorphic hedgehog who was assumed to be the height of an average stallion. He had many cuts and injuries from the crash and appeared to be unconscious.
Circuit scanned the hedgehog's body before blinking red from his eye. "He's alive but he's fading fast. Quickly."
Rainbow and Applejack moved over to lift the hedgehog onto Applejack's back.
"Now quickly! We must get him somewhere to perform medical attention."
Fluttershy spoke first out of the mares. "What about the hospital?"
Rainbow said, "No Shy. The hospital is too far away."
Circuit floated to Twilight. "If we can at least get him to more suitable area, I have the right medical tools on myself to save him."
Applejack then spoke up, "My farm ain't too far. That would be our best chance in my opinion."
"Then lead the way miss."
With that, the group made their way out of the ship.

At the orchard, Grand Pear was finishing his usual routine of making pear jam before going to bed.
After burying the year long hatchet, Granny Smith had offered to let Grand Pear live on the farm so the younger generation could have both grandparents and the full family together.
Granny Smith was sitting in the living room area with Big Macintosh and Apple Bloom, when they all heard a loud banging on the door.
"Granny Smith! Grand Pear! Someone open the door! It's an emergency!"
Big Mac was the first to reach the door only to be shocked when he found all of the girls with the anthro hedgehog still on his sister's back.
"What in the-?"
"Not now brother. Move aside. This one here needs help."
Big Mac listened to his sister and moved aside as the girls came rushing in and made their way to the guest room.
The girls cleared off the bed and Twilight and Fluttershy gently lifted the hedgehog off of Applejack's back and placed him on the bed. Circuit then hovered beside the hedgehog. "Okay. I must begin my work. If you all wouldn't mind. Please wait outside."
Twilight nodded and lead the girls outside the room where they were met by the Apple family.
"Applejack? What's going on?"
"Just give me a moment Granny Smith. I'll explain everything in a moment."
So everypony went back into the living room while Circuit began working on his master.
3 hours later
Applejack had just finished explaining to her family what had happened.
After a few moments of silence due to shock, Apple Bloom was the one to break the silence. "So wait... Are you saying that they're... Aliens?"
"I guess you can say that sugarcube."
Fluttershy was watching the room as she sat down. " I hope everything is going okay."
Soon the door opened and Circuit hovered out.
Twilight stood up to greet the little drone. "Is your master okay?"
"He's stabilized and awake. Luckily he didn't lose too much blood. He should heal very quickly."
Pinkie Pie jumped up happily. "That's great!"
"Now if you don't mind, my master would like to meet you."
Twilight looked to her friends before smiling at Circuit. "Sure."
The girls followed Circuit to the guest room where once inside, they found the hedgehog sitting up right on the bed. Circuit approached him with a bright flash in his eye. "Xavier sir? These are the ones who helped get you here."
The hedgehog, now known as Xavier, looked to the group before offering a small smile. "Thank you. My pal Circuit tells me you all saved my life. I'm grateful for that. I'm Xavier. And who do I have to thank for saving my life?"
"Well... I'm Princess Twilight. Princess of Friendship here in Equestria."
"You're royalty?"
"Yes but I'm just a normal civilian in personality. Anyways these are my friends."
"Ah'm Applejack."
"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie!"
"You can call me Rainbow Dash!"
"You may call me Rarity."
"I'm Spike."
Xavier then noticed Fluttershy standing by while covering herself with her mane. "And you are?"
"Ummm... I'm F-Fluttershy."
"Fluttershy? Nice name."
"Oh ummm... Thank you."
Twilight approached Xavier a bit. "So are okay?"
"Yeah. Circuit here managed to fix me up good. Still I should thank you all for helping me."
"It was our pleasure. We would never leave a life to die."
"Wow Princess. Thank you."
Rainbow then spoke up, "So if you don't mind me asking, are you really an alien?"
"Yes... Yes I am. But before I answer a lot of your questions, I must ask for a favor?"
Applejack then approached. "Sure. What is it?"
"Do you by chance have any food?"
"Sure thing partner. Hold up just a bit."

Soon Xavier was sitting in the living room with the rest with a small tray of apple and pear made foods, digging in as much as he could.
Granny Smith was watching as Xavier was eating at quite a speed. "You sure are a hungry one aren't you fella."
Xavier was about to speak after having another plate. "I know. I apologize for my rush, but to be honest. I haven't eaten in days."
Fluttershy was the first of the group to gasp at the statement. "You've gone that long without food? How terrible."
"Well luckily, I've learned to survive on what little resources I could find."
Twilight was the next to speak, "So are you like a soldier or something?"
"I guess you could say that."
Pinkie Pie then jumped up. "Oh. Are you a scout soldier trying to prepare our world for an invasion?!"
"PINKIE!!!"
"It's okay. She may be a hyper one, but she is smart. But no, I'm not that kind of alien. My kind were known as Malitronians from a world called Malitronia. You see, in the beginning. There were two god like brothers called Stracsus and Malitron. However, while they were brothers, they were also enemies to one another. Malitron was a giver of peace and life while Stracsus brought only death and destruction. They were, for many years, battling each other with the tide turning between the two multiple times. However, after years of fighting Malitron learned that if the fighting had continued, then everything would've been eventually destroyed. So with as much power as he could, Malitron had struck Stracsus with a single final strike. The blow left Stracsus greatly injured and paralyzed. With that, Malitron was alone. So with no way to return to his own world, he decided to create a new one. So he began using his own abilities to combine his mind, heart, and body to increase his power. As years went by, both his power and size grew. If he had been interrupted, well let's just say I probably wouldn't be standing here before you. After many years, his power was ready to be used and with it, he began changing his body. He began to morph into the planet the was later known as Malitronia. After many more years, my species, Malitronians, were given the gift of life and lived peacefully for many years."
They all stood open mouthed at the story with Spike soon breaking the silence. "Wow. Talk about an epic story."
"I do have one question though. If your kind are a peaceful kind, why did you come to our world and on another note, why were you as injured as you were when you got here."
"Well... Princess Twilight."
"Just Twilight is good."
"Twilight... I'd rather not answer those questions. Not yet at least. Let's just say the answers are some I still need to adjust to. Once I'm ready, I'll answer those questions for you."
"Fair enough."
"But for now. If I may, I'd like to stay here and get some rest."
"Sure thing partner. We Apples never turn down those in need."

In Canterlot, Celestia was looking over many things when a guard ran in.
"Your majesty!"
"Yes? Is something wrong?"
"We have received word that an unknown object has crash landed somewhere not too far from the Castle of Friendship in Ponyville."
"Thank you for the information. I shall send a group out to the area as soon as-."
"Your majesty!"
Celestia then found another guard run in.
"Apologizes for interrupting your business. But I bring shocking news."
"What is it?"
"Some of us have received word that... As impossible as it sounds. Somehow... King Sombra has somehow returned and with a new evil force is attacking the Crystal Empire."

Morning had shined over Ponyville, but at the Sweet Apple Acres, a new face would be awakening on the on the farm.
Inside the family's guest room, Xavier, a anthromorphic hedgehog from outer space who's species were known as Malitronians, was waking up to the sun shinning into the room. He looked around before rising from the bed. He did a few stretches before looking out the window to the sun.
"After so long. It feels good to wake up to sun shine for once."
Xavier looked around a bit more, noticing something was missing. "That's weird. Where's Circuit?"
Xavier then threw his clothes on real quick before walking out of the room and heading downstairs. On his way down, he had crossed paths with Apple Bloom who was carrying a plate of apple buttered toast on it.
"Oh. Mornin' Xavier. Applejack asked me to bring some breakfast up to you."
Xavier was handed the plate and he began taking a few bites. "Morning to you to Apple Bloom. Hey. Have you seen Circuit? I couldn't find him when I woke up."
"Oh. Your little floating friend? He said something about you might need to know your way around our homeland so he went over to Twilight's to look over some maps for you guys to use."
"Sounds like Circuit. Where's the rest of your family?"
"Outside. We're doing our usual apple and pear bucking."
After making sure Xavier had his plate, Apple Bloom was about to head back out when.
"Mind if I come help?"
"Well. We don't wanna have to ask a guest-."
"It's okay. I could use a something to do."
"Alright. I guess Applejack won't mind a little extra help. Follow me."
Xavier walked out of the house behind the young filly as she lead him to where the rest of the Apple family were doing they're usual morning routines to make their living. Applejack and Big Macintosh were both bucking trees, knocking some apples and some new pear trees free of their fruit while Granny Smith and Grand Pear were grabbing and hauling them to the barn. Applejack was the first to notice Xavier following her little sister. "Well howdy there partner. You feeling okay after that crash of yours yesterday?"
"I'm feeling great. Thanks to Circuit's treatments, I'm healed up pretty quickly. Thought I might help you guys out if you don't mind."
"Well... I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Just don't hurt yourself partner."
"No problem."
"Well for now. Would you mind helping Granny and Grand Pear with them buckets to the barn?"
"Sure thing."
Xavier walked over to a tree and picked up a few buckets and began following the two elder ponies to the barn. After dropping the buckets off in the barn, the three headed back to pick up their next load of pears and apples when they heard a snapping noise. The three and Applejack were the first to notice that an old tree was on the verge of snapping... With Grand Pear being the one right in front of it.
Applejack watched as the tree began giving out. "Grand Pear! Look out!"
The tree would've came down on the old stallion had the most shocking thing to the ponies had occurred.
At a speed that could rival even that of Rainbow's, Xavier moved in between the tree and Grand Pear and, beyond anyponies surprise, Xavier held the tree back with one hand before moving it so it would land on the ground with ease.
"You okay old timer?"
The ponies were speechless as the looked to him in astonishment. "What?"
"How did you-? The only time I saw somepony that strong was when Tirek was still around."
"Oh. That. Well you see, my kind are know to have enhanced strength and abilities. How do you think I survived the crash."
Applejack was surprised a bit to learn this about her new friend. "Well... That's pretty amazin'."
"Eeyup."
Apple Bloom then ran over and hugged Xavier's leg.
"Thank you so much for saving Grand Pear Pear."
"Even I have to say thank you for saving me young man."
"Hey. It was no problem."
"Well young ins. Now it's time to collect from the special one."
Xavier was confused at the term "special" as he followed the family to a hidden area where there were two trees grown together into one with an empty space between two top branches. One was growing apples, the other growing pears. "Wow. I've seen quite a few things in the galaxy, but two tree intertwined and is a perfect symbol of a family. That's beyond amazing."
Applejack pulled her Stetson hat off as she looked to the two in one tree. "Our parents planted these two trees side by side when they first got married. Our mah was a part of the pear family while our pa was a part of the apple family. And when they finally became husband and wife, they planted an apple seed and pear seed together. And this tree here is to immortalize the love they had that brought us into this world."
Xavier looked to the tree in astonishment. He even had a small tear in his eye. "I'd say you guys were lucky to have such wonderful and loving parents."
"Mr. Xavier? You alright?"
Xavier shook his head a bit while whipping away his tears. "Yeah. I'm okay kid. Just a few memories. So you guys wanna pluck the apples and pears from it."
Applejack placed her Stetson back on as she looked to the tree. "We certainly do. But it may take a while. See we prefer to pick rather than buck from this tree. We'd rather avoid damaging something planted so long ago by our parents."
"I may have a solution to get them down quickly."
"I don't know."
"Applejack. I promise I won't lay a scratch on it. You have my word."
"Well... Alright. What the hay. What do you have to do?"
"For now, just put some buckets around the tree."
The family did as they were told and after they were finished, Xavier smiled as he approached the tree and raised one finger. Everyone was surprised when the finger he held up began to be covered in a kind of blue glow. He then gently tapped the tree and after a few seconds all of the pears and apples came falling down into the buckets.
"There you go big fella. I may be strong. But I'm also gentle."
"APPLEJACK!"
They all turned to see Twilight and the girls along with Spike and Circuit running into the farm land.
"What's goin on y'all?"
Twilight was the first to speak. "I just received a message from Princess Celestia! Somehow King Sombra has returned and is attacking the Crystal Empire! They want us to meet them there and help stop Sombra!"
"All you had to do was say something sugar cube! Granny Smith?"
"I know Applejack. I know. Get going to help your friends."
Applejack smiled as she and the others took off running. As soon as they were out of sight, Grand Pear looked to Granny Smith, his grandchildren, Xavier, and Circuit. "Well. Let's get these to the barn."
Big Mac, Granny Smith, and Apple Bloom all gathered some buckets and began heading to the barn. Macintosh noticed Xavier and Circuit were hanging back. "Y'all comin?"
"We'll catch up. You guys go on ahead."
Big Mac stood confused for a moment before following the rest of his family, leaving Xavier and Circuit as the hedgehog looked in the direction the girls ran off to.
"Circuit? Apple Bloom said you went with Twilight to scan maps to review all of their Equestria land right?"
"Yes sir."
"So by chance do you know where this Crystal Empire is?"
"Indeed I do sir."
"One more question. Is my sword still on our ship?"
"Ummm... Yes sir. Why?"
"Because we're about to take a trip."
Meanwhile, at the Crystal Empire, things were beyond troubling. The empire was filled with what appeared to be shadowponies and some were even the same soldiers that once served the Storm King. In the center of all of the evil soldiers stood King Sombra himself. He and his army were making their way towards the center of the empire, and what was there. The Crystal Heart itself. However in his way stood Princesses Celestia, Luna, and Cadance, Shining Armor, Flash Sentry, and some others. These others included Starlight (who was there to visit Sunburst), Sunburst himself, Trixie(who had come with Starlight), and surprisingly, Tempest.
Sombra approached the group as they all stood in front of the Crystal Heart. "Thought I was gone for good didn't you Princess?"
"How did you come back Sombra?!"
"Oh that's very simple. It turns out your little dragon friend getting you the Crystal Heart didn't completely finish me off like you thought. Small parts of my dark magic remained which stored my life in it. For many years I was doing anything and everything just to keep myself alive. However I soon found myself in Canterlot, where at the same time, you had defeated the Storm King himself. And while you did drain his staff of your magic, there was still just a little left for me to merge with my own. Using it, I managed to recreate my body. But I knew that still wouldn't be enough, so I sought out a magic you had banished most of but not all of. The leftover magic from the Pony of Shadows. Combining both with my dark magic, allowed me to gain even more powerful abilities. Then as time went by and I began regaining my strength, I soon began creating my army of shadowponies. But I had feeling that wouldn't be enough to retake the Crystal Empire. Then I found out there were some of Storm King's old followers who were still loyal to him and were seeking vengeance against those who destroyed him. I made a deal with them. In exchange for joining my army, I would give them the chance to take that vengeance." Sombra looked towards Tempest, who glared in return.
"You won't harm anyone while we're here!"
Everypony was surprised when the Mane 6 appeared in flash beside their friends. Sombra simply smirked at the group.
"Ah. The very group who stopped me once. But I think you'll be more than willing to not stand in my way this time. Instead I'm sure you'll be willing to hand over the Crystal Heart this time."
Rainbow flapped her wings arrogantly. "Don't bet on it pal!"
"Oh. I believe you will. Because you only have two options. Either you all step aside and hand over the Crystal Heart to me. Or..."
Sombra motioned for one of the storm soldiers to approach to the front. And when he did, to everyone's shock, the storm soldier was holding a struggling Flurry Heart in his hands. "I drain the magic from the Crystal Princess's daughter."
"You monster. If you harm my daughter I'll-."
"Ah. Ah. Crystal Prince. You don't have too long to make your choice. And all that time your making pointless threats to me, you could be thinking about what choice you want to make. But let's be honest, I'm not giving you a choice at all. Either you give me the Crystal Heart, or you daughter loses her magic, and possibly her life."
The group stood strong as Sombra began charging his horn and aiming it a bit towards Flurry's. "Going... Going..."
Though hesitant at first, Cadance knew the only choice she could make. "Okay. Okay. We'll step aside."
With that everyone moved out of the way. But to their surprise, Sombra laughed as his horn kept charging. "Oh you ponies are far too trusting. Why exchange the raw alicorn magic this child holds in exchange for the Crystal Heart?... When I could easily have both."
The ponies then watched in horror as Sombra was about to use his magic on Flurry's horn when...
In the blink of an eye, Sombra found the storm soldier on the ground and Flurry nowhere in sight. "What the!"
"Hey buddy."
Everypony turned to see Xavier standing on the nearby statue of Spike. With Flurry Heart in his arms. "I've seen a lot of messed stuff in the galaxy, but seeing a power mad maniac willing to harm a child. It took the cake every time."
Then, before anyone knew it, Xavier appeared in front of his friends and walked to Cadance and Shining. "I believe Sombra said this little girl belongs with you two."
Cadance took Flurry in her hooves with Shining by her side. "Flurry. Thank heavens your safe!"
"Xavier?" Twilight and the girls approached him with astonishment. "How did you get here? What are you doing here anyways?"
"I'll explain later Twilight. Right now, I want you and your friends to step back and let me take things from here."
Xavier began walking off towards Sombra and his small army while the girls looked on in shock. "Xavier? With all due respect, but even with how strong you are, do you really think you can take them on?"
Xavier continued walking off while Circuit appeared in front of the girls. "Ladies. I wouldn't worry about Master Xavier. He's handled worse than this before."
Flash stood beside the girls as the all watched Xavier approach Sombra. "I hope your new friend knows what he's doing Princess Twilight."
"You and me both."
Xavier had stopped walking as soon as he was in front of Sombra and his army. "So you're Sombra? You know how about we do things simple. You and your friends there give up and back off. Or I start bringing the pain."
Sombra simply looked to Xavier with a blank expression before he began laughing arrogantly. "You? The princesses, the elements of harmony, not even the entire Crystal Empire guard all together could stop me. You think you can?"
"Think? No... I've faced guys who were ten times worse than you are. I don't think. I know I can bring you down."
Sombra scowled at Xavier as he looked to his two lead shadow ponies. "You two. Dispose of this arrogant fool."
The two shadow ponies nodded and charged in at Xavier, who stood his ground calmly. Once the shadow ponies were in reach and about to strike, Xavier, to everyone's shock, grabbed them both by their necks. After a couple of seconds of having the two struggle, Xavier threw the right one to the ground before blasting the left one into nothing with some kind of energy from his hand before doing the same to the downed right shadow pony. After the two dark magic creatures were gone he looked back to Sombra. "That all you got?"
The Mane 6 and the others stood in shock at what they had just witnessed with Fluttershy being the first to speak up. "Did... Did anypony else see that?"
"He took them varmints down like they were nothin'."
"Wow... He... Is... AWESOME!"
"Ummm... Girls? I wouldn't celebrate just yet. Because by the looks of it, Sombra's not giving up just yet."
And Twilight couldn't have been more right. Sombra glared at Xavier as he gritted his teeth. "Impressive. You can handle a couple of my shadow minions. But let's see you handle all of them! Shadows! Attack!"
Every single shadow pony came from behind Sombra and charged at Xavier all at once. The others watched as Xavier simply stood where he was while reaching his for the handle to his sword.
In a flash, the shadow ponies stopped in their tracks and the ponies looked on in surprise at the sight that followed. Xavier was now behind all of the shadow ponies with his sword held firm in his hand and a smirk on his face.
Then, without even a second passing, the shadow ponies all disappeared. Everyone stood astonished at the sight with Rainbow breaking the silence first. "Did... Did anypony else see that?"
"Ah don't think Ah saw anything sugar cube. Ah didn't even see Xavier move."
Sombra was the most surprised... And angered by the outcome he now saw. "Who is this fool? And how could he be able to do any of this? He took out every single one of my shadow minions with one move. Storm soldiers! Finish this fool off!"
The soldiers looked to each other before all of them looked to Xavier who looked to them with a confident smirk on his face as he sheathed his sword. All of them then looked to each other again before they all took off running while screaming in fear. "Hey! Get back here you cowards! Destroy this fool!"
Every single storm soldier ignored Sombra and kept running until they were all out of sight. This left the ponies even more shocked, especially Tempest. "Wow, I've seen plenty of them in action and never have I ever seen them run away so scared."
Xavier looked to Sombra with high confidence. "So. What do you say we call it a day and you give up?"
Sombra glared at the hedgehog once again as he began to glow with all of the magic he had. "If you want something done right. You have to do it yourself."
Sombra soon had magical tentacles, not that different from the Pony of Shadows, that he then sent striking at Xavier. However, once they got extremely close, it appeared Xavier had disappeared, causing the tentacles to strike the ground and create a cloud of dust. "What the?! Where did he go?!"
"Try looking up pal."
Sombra looked up and went wide eyed when he saw that Xavier appeared to be flying. "Y-You can fly?!"
"Yep. And that's not even the most of what I can do."
Sombra threw his tentacles up into the air, attempting to strike Xavier. To his annoyance, Xavier was dodging every single strike with ease. "How fast is this rat?"
"Fast enough to dodge you slow poke."
Xavier continued dodging for few seconds before pulling his sword back out. He then began striking each tentacle with at fierce speed. He then charged down at Sombra and delivered a powerful kick that sent Sombra crashing into a nearby building. "I'd advise giving up if I were you buddy."
"RAAAAHHHH!"
Sombra charged out of the rubble while covering his horn in a blade of dark magic and brought it down on Xavier once he was in reach only for Xavier to bring out his sword and block it with ease. Sombra kept clashing his magic horn blade against Xavier's sword multiple times before Xavier pushed him back again with a strong kick. "Gotta admit, for a guy who doesn't have hands, you sword fight pretty well."
"You dare mock me boy?! You are nothing!"
"If I'm nothing, what does that make you?"
Sombra charged his horn and began firing multiple blasts at Xavier. Xavier simply held his sword tightly as he began deflecting the shots with his solid steel blade. At one point, Xavier managed to deflect a shot right back to where it struck Sombra in the chest armor, making a break in it. Sombra clutched the broken armor plate before noticing as Xavier came running at him. Sombra charged magic into his hooves and slamming them into the ground causing dark crystals to shoot up from the ground. Xavier simply kept going and to everyponies' surprise, he simply broke right through them with strong strikes. "Im- impossible!"
Sombra was then struck by a strong punch from Xavier that sent him to the ground. Xavier slowly approached the down Sombra with confidence. "Had enough?"
Sombra rose to his hooves as she glared daggers at the hedgehog. "Of you? YES!"
Sombra then charged his horn with all of the magic he held mixed with that of the storm and shadow magic and fired a massive and powerful magic blast at Xavier, who was then engulfed in a cloud of smoke.
The mares and stallions who stood around the Crystal Heart were shocked and also worried that their new friend and hero was destroyed. Sombra, however, was chuckling at what appeared to be his victory. "Now then. To finish what I started."
"I wouldn't bet on it."
Sombra was shocked at hearing the voice and turned to see the, as the smoke began to clear, Xavier stood without a scratch on him and was holding all of the magic thrown at him in his hand as an energy sphere. Xavier looked to see Sombra was looking to him in fright as he took a few steps back. Xavier simply smiled a bit before crushing the energy sphere in his hand.
Meanwhile, the mane 6 and the others were beyond shocked at witnessing Xavier's strength.
"That... That must've been every ounce of magic Sombra had."
"And he stored and crushed it like it was nothing at all."
Xavier cracked his fingers a bit before looking to the frightened Sombra with a grin. "I take it that was your best shot. Now... Let me show you mine."
Everyone witnessed as Xavier was soon surrounded by a blue energy forming around him. He held his hands out in front of him as small energy ball began to form and grow in size as energy began to build up. He looked to the frightened Sombra and appeared to be taking aim. "Magna... SPHERE!"
Xavier launched the sphere of energy right at Sombra. Sombra watched as the sphere closed in, frozen in fear, and let out a scream as he was engulfed in the attack. After light and smoke faded from the attack, everyone, except Xavier, was shocked to find all that remained of Sombra was his curved horn laying on the ground. The horn sparked a bit with dark magic until Xavier brought his foot down, shattering it into pieces. "And that's a wrap."
Xavier looked behind himself to see everyone looked at him with amazement and astonishment. "Ummm... What's up?"
After still standing in shock for a few more seconds, everypony in the empire began cheering for the action.
"Well... Wasn't expecting that."
The girls and Spike all ran up to Xavier in a rush. "Xavier. That was amazing! Sombra was one of the most dangerous villains in all of Equestria's history. Not to mention he also had the magics of to other villains with him as well. And you took him down like he was nothing."
"Seriously?"
"What are you talking about "seriously" partner?"
"What I mean is I don't see how he's that dangerous. I wasn't even trying against him."
"WHAT!!!"
Xavier was surprised at his friends reaction as they all surrounded him with wide eyed looks on their faces."
"Well... Maybe I should tell you all a little be more on what I can really do."
Author's Note
Btw, just to let everyone know, Xavier's sword is similar to Link's from Zelda, though more dark colored and with a bit of smaller blade.
