The Maresburg Frosting Flood Disaster
In Granny "Grand" Smith Apple's relative youth she experienced one of the most legendary pony industrial disasters of all time.
The Maresburg Frosting Flood, where over 400,000 gallons of multi flavored frosting burst from improperly built confectionary vats. It flooded the entirety of the Coreington Hay district, including Trottenham street; an area mostly populated by poor farmers and factory workers.
The culprit was the Mare and Friends Confectionary Company on Frostingham Court Road. In the ensuing disaster, many were lost.
This is Granny Smith's account of the tragedy from one of her many journals.
Temporary cover image is from the historical Boston Molasses Flood of 1919. Story was inspired by both the London Beer Flood of 1814, and the Molasses Flood in the cover image of 1919.
Note - Updated rating due to chapter three. I could have sworn I set it to T initially.
