I said seething with rage “Twilight, don’t make me do this.”

Twilight snarled “Put down your weapon, Chrysalis is an enemy of Equestria.”

I snapped “I love her and if you want to hurt her you will have to get through me.” Twilight continued to glare at me until I heard hooves crashing outside, I snarled as several hundred Royal guards charged in as well as the Princesses of the Sun and Moon.

Twilight smirked “Looks like I won’t have to do anything.”

I snarled “Fine, I could beat all of you before breakfast.” I thought to myself (Don't hesitate act, it’s all or nothing.) I let flames cover my body as my sword crackled with lightning. The first rank of guards charged only to be knocked with a few decisive strikes. I watched as Princess Luna smiled at me, I shifted to a flame sword and had my body coated in rock, as the next wave charged, I darted through burning them with a single slice knocking out the whole rank.

Luna boomed “Enough, I have a test for you and if you pass, Chrysalis won’t be harmed.”

Celestia shouted “Sister, what is the meaning of this?” Luna smiled knowingly as she stomped a hoof on the floor, causing a field to appear. Twilight, Cara Applejack and Chrysalis blinked in confusion at the events unfolding.

I gasped as I bowed and said “Grandmaster, I have long awaited this moment.”

Luna said “As have I, many failed to master this art because of my actions, it’s time for me to make this right, prove your worth and you will to earn the Grandmaster’s title.” I channelled my magic into my body, I felt the earth around me, the fire burning within and the lightning surging over me. I gritted my teeth as pain shot through me, I felt my bones cracking but I pushed through the pain.

Luna said encouragingly “Good, the first part is done now flow that magic into your blade, let it fill you with power.” I growled as the pain increased the magic holding my body together leaving into my blade. Luna said “Now slam it into the field and achieve true strength.” I slammed my sword into the ground and as I did I felt a huge surge of magic rush through me before all went black.

I blinked as I woke, I remembered completing the trial and falling unconscious. I was pleasantly surprised to be feeling no pain, in fact I felt better than I had in years. I pushed my self to my hooves and notice just how much smaller the room seemed. I watched as Princess Luna entered the room with a smile, I noticed she had to look up at me to see my head. I asked “Um Princess Luna, why are so small?”

Luna chuckled “Please call me Luna, we are equals after all, as for size you are about the same height as my sister, I’m kinda jealous actually. You need to see yourself.”

I followed Luna into a room full of mirrors. I looked in one and in my shock I was really tall, I also and a long white horn sticking out of my forehead as well as pair of wing sticking out of my back, furthermore my mane and coat where flowing as if they were in the wind.

Luna said “Well, how are you liking being an Alicorn?” My mind froze, Alicorn, how, it didn’t make sense. Luna said “It’s the reward for becoming a Grandmaster of the Mighty Mystical Blade style.”

I then felt terrible, I asked “Is Chrysalis alright?”

Luna said with a wicked smile “Well, she has committed many crimes I could protect her but that could cause a lot of trouble for Equestria and you have to consider the consequences of angering the hives.”

I asked “Is there another way?”

Luna said her smile growing more wicked “There is one way, you had these in your saddlebags.” I looked down to see a pair of boxes, both containing rings, one on a necklace. I knew what to do, I just hoped she would accept.

Chrysalis was being stared at by 7 mares, 5 ponies and 2 changelings. I knew them, the Elements of Harmony plus Chrysalis’s daughter.

Twilight frowned as she said “You should leave there will be serious repercussions for Equestria if you stay, Equestria can’t protect you without declaring war with the Changelings.”

I said “There is one way, Twilight. I didn’t want to do this so soon but I have no choice.” I got onto one knee pulling out the box and said “Chrysalis, will you marry me?”

I noticed the stares of the others but Chrysalis gave me a hug as she shouted “Yes, of course, I will.”

I put a ring, white and indigo ring on her horn as she removed the other ring, which was a shade dark cerulean mixed with black, she placed it on my horn. We kissed passionately for several minutes.

We stopped and looked at all of the mares around us, they were staring with their mouths gaping open. I asked “My precious gem, are we always going to break ponies every time we kiss.”

My fiance replied “My special star, we will turn quite a few head but this won’t be common I’m sure.”

I said “Good, but we better find ourselves a place to stay.” Chrysalis nodded at me as we desperately tried to rouse our stunned audience.

Luna said “I will organise you a place to stay in the castle.”
